Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey friend, welcome
back to another episode of Turn
Down the Hustle.
This episode is part of my TurnDown the Hustle challenge
series.
The challenges are small butactionable tasks you can
complete to move the needle inyour business Without
overthinking it.
I'm going to walk you throughall of the steps after I
(00:21):
introduce the challenge to you.
I'm super pumped for today'schallenge because we're going to
dive into one of the stepsafter I introduce the challenge
to you.
I'm super pumped for today'schallenge because we're going to
dive into one of the best waysto start automating your
business and saving you time.
If you've listened to previousepisodes, like episode 33,
create an FAQ for your websiteor episode 34, automate your
email with auto replies you knowI'm talking about taking the
(00:41):
pressure off your shoulders andletting technology do some of
that heavy lifting.
So let's add to that.
I know, as a handmade t-shirtseller, you're juggling multiple
things.
You're managing orders, socialmedia, customer questions and
then don't forget you're alsothe creative brains behind your
business.
(01:02):
But what if I told you that youcould save a lot of time by
just setting up a few simpletext clips that will help you
reduce the time it takes to makerepetitive posts.
That's exactly what we're doingtoday with text clips and
sentence shares, so by the endof this episode, you'll know
exactly how to set up text clipsto automate your responses and
(01:24):
save you time every day.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
You're listening to
Turn Down the Hustle, the
podcast dedicated totransforming how you run your
creative online t-shirt businessby working smarter, not harder,
so you can spend more time withyour why, people and passions
that matter most in your life.
So throw on your favoritegraphic tee and turn up the heat
.
Press, because it's time toturn down the hustle.
Here's your host digitalmarketer.
(01:48):
Cold brew lover, t-shirt maker, freckled hype girl and owner of
Sunkist Virtual Assistant, amy.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Before we get into
text clips, let's talk about
Centsare.
What exactly is SendShare andwhy should I care?
Sendshare is an all-in-onesocial media management tool
that allows you to scheduleposts and automate your content.
It's specifically built forcreative entrepreneurs like you
and it helps streamline yoursocial media process so you can
(02:19):
spend more time creating andless time scrolling or trying to
reinvent the wheel of what topost.
And here's the best part yet Ifyou haven't signed up for
SendShare yet at the time of therecording of this episode, you
can grab 60 days free with thecode found in my show notes
below this episode.
Whenever you sign up with mylink and use that, I highly
(02:43):
recommend you just giveSendShare a try, even if you
don't decide to go on to a paidsubscription, which is currently
$10 a month, or roughly $8.33 amonth if you pay for a year at
a time once that free trial runsout.
But again, you can still takeadvantage of those 60 days free.
I highly recommend you try itout simply for the content
(03:05):
library.
It's amazing.
It's loaded with tons ofcontent that you can schedule to
your business.
Also, another feature I love ofCensure is the batch post
feature.
It's where you can selectmultiple posts at a time.
Select them to schedule andthen let's say, all of these
posts you want to go out on aMonday at 7 pm, you just need to
(03:26):
set the interval for the firstpost Monday 7 pm and then set
the interval for every sevendays.
Hit batch post and then you'llsee all of the intervals apply
and then you can just hitschedule that easy.
You can schedule months ofcontent that quick.
So now let's move into aspecific feature we want to talk
about with Censure, and that'stext clips.
(03:48):
Let's talk about the why behindsome of those text clips.
As I mentioned in an earlierepisode 33, automation is all
about freeing up your time.
It's about reducing theconstant hustle and focusing on
what most, whether that'sdesigning your next product or
maybe taking time back for yourwhy.
I'm a big advocate foridentifying your why in your
(04:11):
business.
Everyone has a why.
That's why you started yourbusiness.
So is it so bad that we get ourwork done in our small business
and now we have time to go backto our core identity or focus
or values or the people we loveof why we started this business
in the first time, to spend timewith them?
(04:33):
Text clips allows you toautomate those paragraphs or
links you're always typing outall of the time.
How many times a day do youfind yourself having to type out
here's my link to order, or howto order, or all of your size
posts?
You feel like you're alwaysrewriting that over and over
(04:54):
again.
Rewriting that over and overagain.
Well, text clips is going to beperfect for you.
So you'll already have all ofthat content written out and you
can add, like either quicktaglines at the end of all of
your posts, or it can be some ofthose lengthier posts.
Think about it.
What if you didn't have to typeout those long posts ever again
(05:16):
?
That's where Censure clips comein.
You set them up once, save themand use them across your
Facebook group page or any othersocial media platform without
wasting your time typing all ofthose words out again.
This way, your messages willstay consistent and your level
of quality won't drop off.
Because, if you think about it,sometimes you're like I'm tired
of responding and saying thesame thing over and over again.
(05:38):
You notice, sometimes, if youask somebody to repeat
themselves, you feel like thefirst time they said it probably
had a lot of words.
Then you're like wait, what wasthat?
And then when they repeat it,they find a way to kind of
summarize what they just saidbecause they don't feel like
saying it again.
And then if you have to askthem a third time you're
probably just getting like aone-liner or one word.
So sometimes that can happen tous whenever we're answering
(05:59):
questions in our small business.
Sometimes the quality of usanswering the same question over
and over again it kind of dropsoff.
We don't want that.
Now let's jump into how to setup these text clips in Cinture
so you can see it for yourself.
If you are driving right now orunable to log into a computer,
don't worry about taking notes.
I'm going to outline all ofthese steps in the show notes so
(06:20):
you can quickly just come backand review the steps.
The first thing you need to do,of course, is to sign up for
Censhare.
If you haven't already, you cando it right now.
Scroll down to the show notes, click my link to get signed up
and also type in that code toget 60 days free Currently at
the time of this episode.
If that expires, you willabsolutely get 30 days free at a
(06:40):
minimum.
Then I want you to go to yourCinture dashboard.
Once you log in and you see thedashboard, I want you to head
over and click my folders on thefar left column.
Once you select my folders, you're going to see at the tab
at the top that says text clips.
From there you're going toselect the plus button at the
(07:04):
top right of the page for myfolders and then you're going to
get an option that comes upthat says create new text clip.
The first top line think ofthat like your title.
So enter text clip label.
That's going to be somethingthat isn't posted but it helps
you remember, like what exactlyis this blurb for or how do I
(07:27):
have it saved, anything likethat.
That's going to help youremember how to use it in the
future.
Then enter text clip content.
That's specifically what'sgoing to be posted.
If you don't want that postedon your social media, don't type
it in the second box.
Click create and then you'llsee it will save and you can
create a ton of text clips.
Then, when you're ready to putthis to use, click back to the
(07:51):
scheduler tab.
Then you're going to go over totext clips.
It's found just the right ofpost message.
Whenever you click that dropdown for text clips.
You're going to go over to textclips.
It's found just the right ofpost message.
Whenever you click thatdropdown for text clips, you're
going to see all of the textclips you have saved.
You click them and then you'llsee it populate into your enter
post message.
So you can either add that textclip to what you've already
typed out or you can use yourtext clip as a starting point.
(08:14):
So let's move into some ideas ofhow you can set up some of
these text clips for yourt-shirt business and give you
some ideas or inspiration.
The first thing I would say isto use a text clip as a template
.
So if you follow a certain posttemplate strategy or you could
even Now, let's move intodifferent text clip ideas or
(08:37):
strategies for your business.
The first thing I would thinkabout is templates.
Is there any post templatestructure that you follow or you
like to fill in the blank andyou want to remember to replace
certain words with certain?
Now let's talk about some textclip ideas for your business to
kind of get some of thosecreative juices flowing.
(08:58):
The first one you can build atext clip for.
These might be kind of similarto your FAQs.
So take a look at the workyou've already done in the prior
challenges, because you mightjust be able to copy and paste.
The first one would be orderconfirmation.
So how do you, when you make apost, to let them know that you
got their order and theirorder's being processed and you
(09:19):
want to tag them?
Well, you would need to tagthem in the comments.
You couldn't do that throughSendShare, but you could have a
default caption that you use forthat.
The next one maybe yourshipping policy.
So if you want to make frequentreminders of your shipping
policy and maybe you want to addthat to a bottom of a post or
something, you could add thatlike here's our shipping policy
(09:41):
and then go through all of youroptions.
Size chart is a great one.
This is a great post to remindthem to go check out your size
chart or color chart on yourwebsite and you can create a
good text clip for that.
Or what about back in stock?
You can create a text clip forletting them know it's back
again order before it's gone.
(10:01):
Think about gift cards or howthey can go purchase one and
tell them where they can do thatat.
For those that do loyaltyprograms like Smile Rewards,
those blurbs about how to signup for Smile.
What's the incentive?
Like all of the points and allof that good stuff.
If you go to my website, youcan check out a blog that I have
(10:24):
.
If you check out the show notes, I'll leave a link below to a
blog I have written on loyaltyprogram and how to set it up and
what I recommend.
That way you can take a look ifyou're trying to set that up.
But you could set up remindersfor that.
Also, think about wheneveryou're doing like Fast Finger
(10:44):
Friday type of promotions whatare you always typing out?
What's your template orstructure for Fast Finger Friday
?
That way, you just type it outonce in a text clip and you can
quickly add it to a post.
Think about your referralprogram too.
If you have brand reps oraffiliates, you can get them
hooked up and ask them to signup there.
(11:06):
You could also build a textclip that says thank you for
sharing my or your product.
You could also create a postthat says thank you for sharing
whenever they get their order inthe mail and maybe you have a
blurb of what you want to tellthem and that maybe you've added
some points to their smile, rewards count or their account.
(11:27):
Also, I like setting up textclips for links Like are you
finding yourself alwaysnavigating your website to grab
a certain link to a collectionor an FAQ page or contact me
page?
All of those links that you'realways going to grab?
Those would make perfect textclips.
If you make no other text clips, I would at least make one for
(11:50):
all of the most popular linksthat you are always posting,
because whenever you go to buildout your posts in Cinture, now
you can click just add text clip, add text clip and you don't
have to keep going to grab thoselinks.
Okay, so let's wrap all of thisup.
Why does any of this matter andwhy should you even partake in
this challenge?
(12:11):
Setting up those text clips, you're automating some of the
most repetitive things you'realways saying.
We're also speeding up yourability to create posts and
schedule all of your socialmedia.
This will save you time, it'llkeep consistency throughout your
business and it'll also allowyou to focus on the bigger
picture of creating designs foryour business and moving on and
(12:33):
to further marketing efforts, because you're freeing up some
of that time.
I can't stress this enough themore you automate, the less
you're bogged down with some ofthose repetitive tasks.
As you continue to implementthese little hacks like TextClip
, you'll notice that you'reworking smarter, not harder,
dare.
I say you're turning down thehustle.
(12:55):
And if you're feeling reallyinspired to get started, also in
the show notes I've created afree folder with text prompts
that you can grab from thoseposts pre-made and censure, copy
and paste and build out yourtext clips.
It's all ready for you to getgoing, if you click that link,
you'll be signing up for yourfree trial and ready to automate
your business.
For you to get going, if youclick that link, you'll be
signing up for your free trialand ready to automate your
(13:15):
business.
That's it for today's episodeof Turn Down the Hustle.
I hope you're excited, as I am,about how much time you're
going to save by setting upthose text clips.
Remember, automation doesn'thave to be hard and it doesn't
mean you lose the personal touch.
It's just about being moreefficient with your efforts.
(13:36):
