Come with us as we dive deep into Psalm 84 in worship and experience how true transformation happens when we shift our focus from blessings to the Giver Himself. Through meditative worship and a heart longing for God’s presence, we will experience the grace, strength, and refreshment that only come from dwelling with Him. Let His presence wash over you and stir a deeper hunger for more of Him. Join us on this worship journey into the beauty of God's presence and the blessings that follow.

Welcome to 1224 by Worship Transforms. We want to empower you to live your best

(00:06):
life through biblical inspiration and through connecting with Jesus in at
least 12 minutes of meditative worship. Why 12 minutes? Well research has shown
that meditating on a good God, especially when connected with music for at least
12 minutes, has the ability to create new healthy neural pathways in our brains.

(00:29):
That's new ways of thinking, new patterns of thinking that align with the one
that we're focusing on. So I'm a huge Keith Greene fan and I spent so many
hours listening to him on my bedroom floor as a kid and it was very
influential in helping to develop my Christian walk. Hey I'd love to hear if

(00:54):
you've got someone who was like that in your life, maybe a different Christian
artist, maybe you never listened to Christian music, put it in the comments
below and don't forget to like, subscribe and share this with someone who you
think could benefit from a little more connection with Jesus. So I remember
there was this one song that Keith had and there was a line in it that said,

(01:18):
bless me Lord bless me Lord you know it's all I ever hear and he was referring
to the church and he was decrying the fact that there was such a me attitude
and that they were missing, the church was missing, bringing the reality of God's
kingdom to earth. And you know truth is we still have a lot of that today don't

(01:40):
we? Many kind of follow God for the potential blessings that go with it,
whether they realize it or not and they miss the main thing. Because when we
really focus on the giver of blessings rather than the blessings themselves,
everything else comes into place. When we take time like we're doing today to
put all of our attention and our awe on him and we learn to make that a lifestyle,

(02:05):
he gives those blessings out. According to Psalm 84 which is our focus today, he
will give grace, glory, strength, protection, good things, he turns sadness
into refreshing and blessing. Could you use some of that today? Well the blessings

(02:27):
that result from simply being in his presence are just worth all of our
attention and seeking after with everything we have. Because it's not just
being open to God's presence, it's longing for it, it's hungering for it and
then pursuing his presence with all that we have. This is what we're meditating on

(02:49):
today and this Psalm describes what a person's life looks like who's
enraptured with the beauty of God and his dwelling place who longs to simply be
with him. What a blessing we have just to be in your presence Jesus right now. We

(03:10):
thank you that you are with us today and we ask that you would just increase our
hunger for you. We invite you Holy Spirit to just invade this time today. We
invite you to come and do what only you can do. We're so in awe of you.

(03:51):
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of Heaven

(04:12):
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of Hosts

(04:35):
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of Heaven
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of Hosts

(05:01):
How I long for you I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord with my
entire being with my body with my soul I all shout singing your praise

(05:43):
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of Heaven
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of Hosts

(06:17):
Oh what joy for those whose strength comes from you who sit their minds on
heaven when they walk through the valley the valley of weeping it will become refreshing

(06:44):
with the rains of blessing

(07:08):
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord how lovely is your dwelling place Lord of Hosts

(07:34):
How I long for you I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord with my entire
being with my body with my soul I all shout singing your praise

(08:18):
Cause a single day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere
A thousand elsewhere A single day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere

(08:45):
A thousand elsewhere A single day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere
A thousand elsewhere A single day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere

(09:08):
A thousand elsewhere How lovely is your kingdom
How lovely is your court How lovely are you in heaven

(09:31):
How lovely is my Lord How lovely is your kingdom
How lovely are your courts How lovely are you in heaven

(09:54):
How lovely is my Lord

(10:24):
And I will dwell in your house forever and ever

(10:50):
What a privilege to dwell in your house You're beautiful, dry What a privilege to dwell
in your house with you Cause how lovely is your kingdom

(11:21):
How lovely are your courts How lovely are you in heaven
How lovely is my Lord How lovely is your kingdom
How lovely are your courts How lovely are you in heaven

(11:48):
How lovely is my Lord

(12:18):
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of heaven
How lovely is your dwelling place Lord of hosts

(12:44):
How I long for you I faint with the longing
To enter the courts of the Lord With my entire being
With my body With my soul I'll lay a shout

(13:12):
I'll sing in your praise
A single day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere

(13:34):
A thousand elsewhere A single day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere
A thousand elsewhere A single day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere

(13:57):
A thousand elsewhere A single day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere
A thousand elsewhere

(14:25):
To be in your courts There's nowhere else I'd rather be
Than to be in your house
Lovely, lovely is He

(14:51):
Thank you Jesus, thank you for being with us
Thank you that wherever we are you are there with us
May we dwell more in the courts of heaven than we dwell here on earth
Because your reality is the one that we want to define our lives

(15:14):
So Jesus would you be blessed and friends would you be blessed
As you carry this time with you today into whatever you do
May you remember that His kingdom is for today and He is for you

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
