Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everybody to Two Dudes with Attitudes or Wrestling podcast
with Brian Enjoys, Wrestling, The Legend and m WO and
we are about to review AE w All in Texas,
baybe or WrestleMania. We're gonna do two thumbs with Attitudes.

(00:21):
We're either gonna do thumbs up or thumbs down. For
those of you who have not paid attention or have
not seen us before, a thumbs up means each match
or that match will get eighty percent or better. A
thumbs down means it was worse than that. So basically,
if you got a beat, we give a thumbs up.
If you're a C, which is average or below, we
give it thumbs down. We might not have hated it,
we just didn't give you that thumbs up. Because here

(00:43):
to get a thumbs up from a two Dudes, you
gotta be better than average. My man, are you ready
to review this seventeen around here?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
No, fam Be's get degrees and this was a low
pay per view my.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Yeah, I think it's still going on. It listened to
get the results of Page and John Moxley are in
a two three night battle right now. They're in ninety
four of their their fight. So, yeah, no, it was.
It was a long night for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
For sure it was. But you know what, Yeah, hit
that music. Let's go two dudes with attitudes.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Let's go the two dudes and attitudes, ruthless, aggressively speaking,
so less dude this with Brian and didn't they here
they get your attention to five star broad cansh start
to the ending, whether it's the e or it's the
two dudes with the attitudes of Brinnan Hay get the
point yet so on time of Lackey, listen to the

(01:44):
podcast where they get it popping.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
And Ryan, I'm not even counting zero hour, bro, this
that's been our pay per seven hours. Just think about that.
I posted about nothing negative. I just said if it
was four hours, it would have been so much better.
A couple of matches being twelve minutes in set of
twenty minutes. It would have made him feel more impactful.

(02:15):
I got so much crap from aw Harker fans. You
know what you're talking about. I would have watched it
for twenty hours. I'm like, what in the had you
have that much time? Nothing? Nothing I will I don't
even like to work for six hours, bro, you're gonna
tell ubout a pay per view for six hours, like
what in the world?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
And people people are saying that it was to counteract
the WWE's counterprogramming, so that the main event of Hangman
Page and John Moxley was going in to the second
act of Saturday night mareen event, which, Okay, be that
as it may. It's still a long long time. And yeah,

(02:56):
it was just a very long night for aw a
great night, successful night, and a fun night, but six
hours it was. It's officially gone down in the record
books as the longest pay per view ever, surpassing I
think they said wrestling one of the WrestleManias that was
like seven and a half hours as well. I think
it was.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Third way that one. I probably hated it.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
The one in Orlando that went like yep. It was
the very last one before they before COVID yep, before
they went two nights.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Yeah, and I hated it. People were like, there's no
difference between two nights. That yes, there is. If they
would have don this two nights, I would have liked
it more like I don't have time to just I
have time to go three and three. I ain't got
time to go six. So here's the thing for aw
Hardker fans. I love you. I love you. I'm glad
you're tuning in. I do love you. But don't give

(03:49):
WWE fans crap for appreciating jelly Roll when you all
have the Costco guy on your card winning matches on
aw almost every pay per view. So I just want
to throw that out there. There's no difference between jelly
Roll and the Costco guy. I'm just saying, Actually there's
a difference. Jelly Roll's famous. All right, you ready, let's
break down this card. Let's go all right whoo. They

(04:13):
started off with an absolute snooze fest. It was one
trio who who decided, can I before we get into it,
Tony Khan, if you want DM me, I will teach
you how to do a match placement that This crowd
was not as hype. This was the most unhyped crowd

(04:33):
I've ever seen in an aw event. This is their WrestleMania.
They started off with a trios match that wasn't even
on the card when this card was going into effect
that night. They added this in last second. They started
with it instead of starting with you know, ocado Omega,
Tony Store Mercedes. Instead, they put all their they did

(04:55):
all their matches. Look at you try and they did
all their matches, and then they ended with all three
title matches. This is not the UFC, This isn't boxing.
That's not how you do it. You spread it out.
Title match at the beginning, title match in the middle,
title match at the end, everything in between. Tony Kahan,

(05:16):
there you go, all right, trios. We had the Ops
defeating the death Writers and then the death Writers beat
the bananas out of them afterwards to defend it. Thumbs up,
thumbs down.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
What do you got, oh man? I like powerhouse hops.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
I love you had that one. He had that one move.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Yeah, the death Writers have been killing it, but this
was a thumbs down. This was not the way to
start the show off. This is your biggest show of
the year. You announced this show, You announced this match,
I think on the collision or maybe even the day
of the event. And maybe there was a scramble, maybe
there was a last minute change with whatever happened with

(05:55):
Adam Cole and everything, but and they had to put
this on first. I don't know, but this was just
this match just didn't do it for me. You know,
the stuff afterwards with Samoa Joe going off on the
stretcher and the beat down, that was more entertaining than
the match itself, so that sews you all you need
to know about the match, and you know it also

(06:18):
kind of it also kind of spoiled the night for me,
Like the Death Writers didn't win their trios titles back,
so it kind of told me what kind of night
it was going to be. Yeah for the Death Writers,
so it was kind of gave me my appetizer, but
you spoiled my my dessert, and I didn't really like that.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
So I was like, okay, in a sense that I
was like, okay, they're taking people out right, they took
out Somemojo. They're like, yeah, yeah, they're they're They're like
and they did it and their match later on, so
I was like, okay, I get it, but you could
have done this in the second or third match. This
was this is not deserve to be the first match,

(06:58):
very very weird booking thumbs down. It wasn't even this
felt like.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Yeah, it felt like one of those matches where you
had to, oh, we got to get these guys on
the car. We haven't booked him in a match yet
oh we got to get him on the car and
so here you go, and to open the show with
it just not the right.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
To say yeah, no it was not. And the crowd
showed they were on their damn hands. Yeah all right,
what's up next? Woo the Casito got let match. We
both predicted that. Oh no, we didn't, was it? Oh no,
we both did. We both predicted them. Jay, Oh you did,
you didn't? Who'd you predict?

Speaker 2 (07:34):
I said, Jay White? I said Jay White was gonna yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yeah, dude, he had a great showing in this. Actually,
I want to talk about something. We had a returning
Juice Robinson. I have never more disappointed in a return
in my life. There is one thing, minus banging Tony Storm,

(07:56):
that makes Juice Robinson who he is. His beard, his
outlandish clothes, and his personality. This dude showed up with
no beard, no personality, Dressed in all black. This guy
had black tight long tights with black Superman undies above it.

(08:17):
This guy showed up as wrestler generic a like when
you're creating a wrestler on Fight Forever. That's who he was.
What in the fudge? He got a pop at first?
After that that was I laughed. I'm still laughing at
Juice Robinson's return. The Guns magnifique, The guns deserve everything.

(08:40):
Juice Robinson, bro what the was he did? He have
to shave it for a reason. He came. He looked awful.
I don't know. I didn't hear anyone else say that.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I didn't know.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
It was awful. It was all black trunks, no nothing,
no nothing, it was awful. MJF one thumbs up, thumbs down.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
I'll go thumbs up because the right man won. I
feel like this was a you know, MJF. He always
finds a way to steal the show. He always finds
a way to, you know, win the big matches. I shouldn't.
I should not have picked against him. That's on me.
I'm sorry. Maxwell. You know I did think he doesn't
forgive you. I was disappointed in the fact that we

(09:22):
didn't really you know, this is your WrestleMania, this is
your biggest show of the year, and we don't get
any returns, we don't get any debuts, we don't get
any you know, this was the perfect time to bring
back Jay White, This was the perfect time to bring
in you know, Eddie Kingston, assuming he's healthy or is
somebody like that just to kind of get the crowd
going a little bit. And I feel like, you know,
Juice Robinson, as great as he is, that's not going

(09:44):
to get the crowd. That's not going to get people hyped.
Was Guns Guns coming back? Like, that's also not going
to get the crowd as hyped as they should like.
I liked it too. It was good, but I mean, yeah,
but it's not like it wouldn't have been as good
as Eddie Kingston coming back and the crowd loves that guy.
But yeah, the right man won. But I'm gonna go
thumbs thumbs down for this match.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, I guess drunk uncle would have got the crowd
popped in a little bit. I don't know. Yeah, this
is the thumbs down. I like MJF winning right choice,
but this match was too much focus on Mark Brisco
is not a star? What are we doing here? I
keep saying it over and oh, he's not that. Stop
stop trying to make Mark Brisco a thing. I get it,
I get why, but stop. There was no big surprises. Nah,

(10:32):
this was just like I was watching this car, like,
what are we doing here? All ins are? Oh? By
the way, this was the worst all in of all time.
I'm just saying. I know there hasn't been many all
in it would have been four. This is the worst
all in of all five. How many allens are there?

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Four? Yeah, they had one when they first started, then
they had one, then they skipped a couple of years,
and then ye twenty twenty three, we're punk but Jack
Perry backstage. Then they had one last year with Brian
Dangerson and Swerve, and then this one.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Yeah, yeah, this is the one by far. Doesn't mean
it's bad. It's just the worst one. All the other
ones were perfect, tense. Yeah, all right, what's next? All right?
All right, so let's break it down twice. Number one,
Adam cole Bebe injured supposedly concussions due to one Kyle

(11:18):
Fletcher the future is what everyone tells me. He's so perfect.
Supposedly he threw his head up against something. I don't
know what's going on, but either way, Adam Colebebe injured again.
Tony Khan said, no, you cannot wrestle. He came out
and gave a speech if you want a thumbs up
thumbs down that then we had Daniel Garcia Dustin Rose,
Kyle Fletcher, and Sammy Guevara Russell in the four a

(11:40):
way in which the seventy five year old Dustin rhoades
one thumbs up, thumbs down, whatever you want to do,
let's go.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
Yeah, I'll do. I don't know how to answer the
speech question because if I give him a thumbs up,
that means I'm like, oh, yeah, great, great speech. No, no, yeah,
thumbs down.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Tony Kahn allowing him to have that moment and that time.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Yeah, oh, big time, Yeah, that's what I mean. Yeah,
big time thumbs up for Tony Kahan. Letting Adam Coole
go out there and explain to the audience. It's always
a peeve of mine when you know there's just a
random change and like, oh, Adam Cole has been pulled
from the match and there's no explanation as to why.

(12:22):
So I'm glad that they gave him that opportunity to
go out there and explain to him, explain to the audience.
I liked the moment there with Kyle O'Reilly and Roderck
Strong At the end, Adam Pole, he got me tugging
at my heart strings during that speech. You know, you
could see how much this meant to him and how
much you know, he was speaking from the heart and
the tears coming like he wasn't just tearing up, he

(12:44):
was straight on crying. And the rumors are that, you know,
he wanted to retire that day, but there was you know,
I think he either he talked himself out of it
or he was talked out of it. And but there
might be that might be coming in the near future.
But it's concussions, right, Yeah, it was supposedly a concussion

(13:04):
that he took on on collision from a lariat from
Kyle Kyle Fletcher.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
It was brutal. Yeah, watch it.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah, and so he's yeah, and you know he's had
concussions before, he's had you know, he's yeah, his concussions
are brutal when he gets them. And so that might
be the last we see Adam Cole ever in a
professional and then that's sad I hope not I hope.
I hope Brian Danielson came back. Other restlers have come back,

(13:33):
So I'm hoping that we get Adam Cole back. But spoiler, yeah, yeah,
there Daniel Bryan Rather when he was in w W,
he he retired for a couple of years and then.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
He came back.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Yeah right, but yeah, yeah, it was a sad moment,
but a great moment for Adam Cole as well, and
a great kudos to Tony Khan. People say he you know,
he was a boss in that moment when he said that,
you know, you can't restle tonight, So shout out to him.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
All right, match.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
It, thumbs I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Go be happy with who wins and still yeah do it.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Yeah, I'm gonna go thumbs down for the match, just
because you know, what did any of these three other
guys do to get in to get a TNT title shot?
Why not just you know, why did Kyle Fletcher had
to earn his way in? But these other three guys
just you know, got handed at an opportunity. And I
don't understand that. Why was it a four way? Like?

(14:34):
What made what made them decide to do a four
way match? Why couldn't it have just been a one
on one match? Why couldn't it have been Adam Coles
chooses Roderick Strong to go against Kyle Fletcher. Why can't
you choose Rock Kyle O'Reilly you know his boys to
go against Kyle Kyle Fletcher in a one on one
match or something along those lines, or get the don callis.

Speaker 1 (14:53):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (14:54):
I feel like any way they could have done it,
get him, get him involved somehow with you know, book
matches backstage. I don't know. But either way, the match
itself was fine, and I do like that. I do
like that Dustin Rhodes got the win. I know a
lot of people didn't like it. Kyle Fletcher will get
his time, He'll get his opportunity. Maybe he won't. Maybe

(15:15):
he'll get punished for, you know, concussing Adam Cole, because
he also had a controversial move to Adam Cole where
he bopped his head on the ring apron not too
long ago either.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
It's the future.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
Yeah, people looked at it and we're like, oh my gosh.
So I don't know, but Dustin Road's winning was the
right decision. Just the match itself was just kind of.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
Blah yeah everything he summed up the Adam Cole thing, perfect,
beautiful cheers with Tony Kahan. Other than that, this match
was mid at best. Thumbs way down Dustin Rhad's winning.
It's great. I posted a video and people didn't watch it.
And I'm like, don't crap on WWE for pushing old
timers when Dustin rohadse wins and you guys are all

(15:58):
praising it, and people are like, Dusin Rose a full timer.
I'm like, you guys, crap on sena full timer, AJ
Styles full timer. They're crapping on La Night full timer,
Randy Orton, full timer, They're crapping on all these guys while.

Speaker 4 (16:10):
All these guys in this looks out of old a
WWE ages and divide.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, John Moxley is how old okay, Dustin Rose is
a champ. Okay. So once again, w W hardcore fans
stop aw Harker fans, stop you guys. You don't understand.
You guys complain about the same shit you guys are
complaining with the cibox. So yeah, it's like stupidity idiocracy
at its finest. Dustin Rose winning. Props to you the

(16:38):
fact that Dustin Rose was like wrestling like in nineteen
ninety three. I believe maybe ninety two is insane. He's
a champion right now. Hopefully he does something with it.
But other than that, this just proves that I was
wrong because I said Coppleisher was gonna win. He was
really gonna win. He would have won this four away.
So obviously Adam Cole was going to win this match

(17:00):
and you would have been right. But nonetheless, next match,
let's go.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
I will say I always get I always lose it
when I see wrestlers crying in the ring, and I
almost lost it when Dustin Rhodes was crying when he
won this title because you could tell everything too, huh,
And to me, that's special, right because AW takes a
lot of flak for you know, their fancy, fancy raw

(17:24):
ross speeches that they give and all that, but this
felt real. This felt like this meant everything to Dustin Rhodes.
So shout out to him.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
And I'm glad you said the robot thing because that
was the one thing I didn't like about dam cole speech.
He like gave this heartfelt speech.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
And then he was like, by the way, AW is
the greatest thing ever. I love Ae w ae w
is so amazing and aaw Tony Kahn is my dad.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
I was like, dude, just give your why do you
have to praise AW like we already know? Just talk?
But nonetheless, all right, next match, whoa all right? Finally,
the fans got off their asses and they enjoyed the match.
Swerve Stricken, will Ospray brub defeat the Young Bucks. They

(18:09):
are no longer the EVPs. I don't give two ships
two thumbs up, two thumbs down. Let's hear it.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
I'll give this one my first thumbs up at the night.
This was a great match. Will Ospray and you know,
Swerve Strickland continue to prove whether the two of the
best in aew the Young Bucks. You know, they love
to exceed people's expectations. People always people hate the Young
Bucks for whatever reason, but they're one of the top
five greatest tag teams of all time and this dart
showed it. You know. There was some flippity dude and

(18:39):
a lot of gymnastics in this match, though, but it
didn't bother me as much as it does in other matches.
I feel like will Ospray has toned that down a lot.
He has significantly ever since he started taking a lot
of criticism for it. And maybe he's listening to the
critics and only bringing it out when he needs to.
But I don't know. But this match, this match woke
the crowd up. This match was fantastic. It was great

(19:01):
from start to finish. And I'm curious to see what
happens with Nick and Matt Jackson not having quote unquote
EVP status anymore. And I looked at the All Elite
Wrestling dot Com website this morning, and will Ospray and
Swart Strickland are listed as EVPs on their rosters. So
I'm curious to know if they're going to get the
like the authority figure treatment or whatever.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Wait, so they did win the EVPs. I asked that. Yes,
I was so confused.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Yeah, they're they're on there. I didn't I didn't think
it was on the I just thought it meant the
Young Bucks didn't win. But I'm looking at where is it.
I'm looking at this.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Is not going to be good if they're the e VPS.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
This is looking at their website now, and yeah, will
Ospray is listed as an executive vice president, so that's stupid.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
Yeah, no, because the Young Bucks are the EVP. Still like,
don't make it. I thought, yeah, to get rid of
them so they don't have to talk. Oh, this is bad.
I liked. I liked the Young Bucks entrance, by the way,
thumbs up for that. Yeah, that was hilarious. I thought
it was well done. Will and Swerve. By the way
Jojo being there, is she dating Swerve?

Speaker 2 (20:15):
No, nothing I know of, so she was just.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Like on aw television, like WWE is still promoting the Wyatts,
the brother everything, and she's on a okay either way,
I didn't get what the hell she was singing. I'm
glad she was there. I mean russ in piece of
bray White. I was confused by all of that. I
was like, is that Jojo like Bray Wyatt's wife Joe?

(20:39):
What song was she? Maybe I'm like lost, I could
be missing something. I don't follow everything so closely. Maybe
she was singing that song for a reason. It was
a little weird, but Swerve will Ospray winning two thumbs
way up. The match was good. I'm trying to think
out of all the matches people said this is like
a classic, it's not a classic, but I am going

(21:01):
to give it my match of the night. Sorry, there's
still more matches coming up. But it's very like I said,
nothing every match on this card was like good, nothing
was great. This was the only one that I thought
was like okay, like did what it needed to do.
This is my match of the night. Two thumbs up.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Yeah, I respect it.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Yeah, let's go all right, women's casino gunlet match.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
The winner was correct. Yeah you did?

Speaker 1 (21:30):
You did you? One percent? Did? She won Athena one
well deserved. This was probably ten times better than the
men's guntlet match. Thumbs up, thumbs down, my man.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
Yeah, I give this a thumbs up. I think this
This Gartland match was solid. It was way more enjoyable
than the men's. I feel like all the women that
were in it showed out and the right woman won.
I'm excited about Athena. I'm happy to see that. You know,
she said in the press conference after the show that
she's in AW full time now, so I guess that

(22:04):
means no more Ring of Honor for her and she's
coming with the sham I get yeah, I think I don't. Yeah,
I don't, but you know, she'll probably be on BOW shows.
But but either way, I think she's like the best
unknown wrestler that a W has because she's always been
on r o H. Now I think we're gonna we're
gonna be in for a treat having her on a
w TV regularly. So I like this match. I thought

(22:28):
it was a fun match in the right person.

Speaker 1 (22:30):
One thumb's way up. What was her name?

Speaker 2 (22:32):
In ww uh what was her name? To look it up?

Speaker 1 (22:37):
I forget it's been so long now. Yeah, it was
a great match. Athena winning was the right choice. I
still thought it should have been Willow. Willow's my girl.
People showed up Amber Moon. That's right, Ember Moon. What
an awful freaking name. Holy cow, but she was good there.
I don't know why they've had her in R O H.

(22:58):
I was being told by a lot of people people
that R o H had the pay per view of
the weekend. I didn't even know they had a card.
I guess they had one on Friday. I don't know
if she won it. Oh ah, thunder Rosa showed out
on this card too, on the gaunt let But yeah,
two thumb's way up. Props to you for predicting it.

(23:20):
Atheno winning bright choice. M all right. They heard people.
They hurt people, So the hurt Syneica defeated Jet Speed,
Jesus Christ and the patriarchy. And at the end the
patriarchy turned not just Nick Wayne, Mama Wayne ran a

(23:42):
dude that hangs out with him, the patriarchy turned on
Christian Cage, beat his ass down. They were about to
concert to him when one Cope return baby saved him.
We thought we were going to get an E and
C connection back and instead he was like, make better
life choices and then walked away. We're getting them back.
Thumbs up, thumbs down. Let me hear it.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
You know I'm gonna give this the thumbs up. I
thought the fact, yeah, I'll say that. But the match
itself wash, It was fine. You know, nothing really happened.
But you know what we're talking about is what happened
after the match, and I dug it all. I didn't
see that. I didn't see the patriot. We were wondering,

(24:26):
why is the patriarch even in this match?

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Going into it, talk about it, we said they were dysfunction.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
But we never thought like they're going to turn on
Christian Cage like we we thought maybe there would be,
you know, they would start planning the seeds of it,
but not like a full on straight turning. And then,
you know, I'll be honest, my moment of the night
is Adam Copland's return. I loved it. I liked how
they did it. I liked that they didn't really, they

(24:53):
didn't give us edgend Christian back, but they kind of started,
you know, sprinkling it in and we're gonna, they're gonna,
we're gonna start teasing towards that. And I think it's
the right decision having both of those guys in the
twilight of their career in a tag team. I know,
Cope took a lot of criticism because he came out
and you know, wapped up the fans and was you know,

(25:14):
during his entrance instead of running right out. But you know,
he's like, who cares, you know, Like that's my attitude
on that. Like people were like, well, you didn't save
his friend. Well, he wasn't there to save Christian Cage.
He was there to get his hands on FTR. Christian
Cage just happened to be there, So I forget that. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Sorry, Yeah, So all of.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
It was good. Uhuh. You know, I don't understand why
they the hurt syndic it was even in the tag
team match, or why they even put the titles on
the line, But you know, we're gonna one of my
favorite things that we haven't really talked about is the
hurts everyone's talking about the tag division and a W
being dead or non non existent. And I think now

(25:58):
we have FTR, we have a potential coping Christian Cage
Few or you know, Reunion coming back. We have the
Hurt Syndicate, you have Jet Speed. People are thinking that
they're a thing. The Young Bucks are still a thing.
You know, there's Brian Keith and Big Bill in the
Tag division killing it on there. You know, there's the

(26:19):
Outrunners that people love. The guns are back, so much
needed depth. So I think in one night AEW solved
its tag team problem. You know, is it perfect?

Speaker 1 (26:30):
No?

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Is it back to where it was when the company
first started? Also no, but there's a lot more depth
in the Tag division than there has been in a
long time. And so I think they solved that problem
with this moment right here. So I loved it. I
liked it all.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
I woulgree with you a lot, and I love me some.
Nick Wayne. I think he is a star. He is amazing.
I've loved him since day one. Also two days the
attitudes we produced this happening a long time ago, we
said Nick Wayne would turn Christian Kge would be a
baby base with which we called that. Hopefully he gets
edge back. If they are C and C instead of

(27:04):
Ean C, I'm gonna lose my freaking mind. Jet Speed
Go Away. I think they're awful. I don't get them
at all, and I think they both suck. That's just
me being honest. But I loved it all. I give
it two thumbs up as well. I thought the match
was okay, but that ending was just bananas everything about it,
Cope saving him. I didn't like what Cope did. I

(27:24):
wanted them to like hug it out, but I get
you got to build to it.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Yeah, just keep the greatest hill.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Of all time, like just become a baby face overnight.
But yeah, thought you gotta sprinkle it in.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
You can't. You gotta, especially in twenty twenty five when babyfaces,
you know, have to earn the trust back.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
You know.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
That's one of my favorite things that the WWE does,
you know, like when Jay Husso turned babyface and people
on Raw didn't quite trust him because he was in
the bloodline for all these years and all that. Like,
I think the same thing has to happen with Christian Cage.
Last time they were in the ring together was a revolution.
The pay per view that we were at, and Christian
Cage ruined Adam Copeland's match against John Moxley by cashing

(28:04):
in that little contract and then in the street fight
shortly thereafter, Christian Cage sent Nick Wayne out there to interfere.
So these two guys don't really like each other, so
why would he want to help him all of a
sudden and hug it out? So I think he has
to earn that trust back. So I liked that they
didn't do it.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
Yeah, agreed, All right, what's up next? Whoa? Tony Storm,
the Timeless One defended her title against the undefeated and
aw Mercedes Money the women with seventy five freaking championship
titles right now? Thumbs up, thumbs down.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
I'm gonna go thumbs up. I thought the match was
really good. This was my Cooch's return. Was my moment
of the night. This was my surprise of the night.
I did not see Mercedes Monette losing coming. I thought,
do you predict Mercedes? Yeah? I picked Mercedes to win
as much as I wanted Tony Storm to win. I

(29:04):
thought the Mercedes Monette, and then I thought Athena would
come out and cash in the contract. Yeah on Mercedes
and send the crowd home happy that way. But yeah,
I was really surprised at the outcome that Tony Storm won,
happy that she won. Don't get me wrong, and hopefully
this begins, you know, a character change for Mercedes, or
we get we start getting her downfall and she starts

(29:25):
losing her titles one by one. But yeah, and then
eventually she turns baby face and maybe we get a
character changed somehow, some way. But either way, this match
was a thumbs up for me.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
I get a thumbs up too. It was a great match.
It was not EO and Rhea, but it was a
great match. They pulled out all the stops, They had
great near falls. The right woman won. I predicted Tony Storm.
I said she had to win, the only person. People
were like, oh, a young person needs to beat Mercedes apcomer, No,
they don't. Her underpeed the street was not important. She
needed to lose, and I she needs to lose all

(30:01):
her belts. She needs to refresh, leave and come back
as a baby face to get that pop. She is
really not over. The crowd gave two shits about her.
They were so happy when Tony Storm won. Mercedes money
deserves better than what she is currently getting. This booking
since she started was atrocious. It hurt her. Giving her

(30:21):
every single belt hurt her. I don't know what the
hell they're doing with her. Let her lose, let her refresh,
come back stronger than ever. But yes, two thumbs up
Tony Storm Champion. She's the face of the freaking company
my man over age.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Yeah, she really is. You know, everybody loves Tony Storm.
The thing I didn't like was that this match that,
like Mercedes Money, is still the TVs Champion. So I
wish that this match was titled for title, or it
should have been winner take all, or they unify them somehow.
But speaking of unified, we'll get into the next one.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Hey, I don't know who. I know who won. I
don't know what belt they got, but one Okada be
won Ohmega for the ununified time. I don't know, but
he won thumbs up, thumbs down.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Oh man, I'm gonna go very fringe thumbs down. Hey,
everybody was talking about how this match is going to
steal the show. This match is gonna be great. Kenny
Omega and Okada. I've never seen any of the other
previous matches that they had in New Japan, so I
was like trying to live up. I was trying to, like,
you know, I watched some of those matches on YouTube

(31:33):
and stuff prior to this, and I was like, oh man,
these matches were great. This match is surely going to
live up to the hype. And it didn't. I just
felt like it was probably the worst, not a bad match,
but the worst of the three or four that they've
had so far against each other. And I don't know
it just I didn't The Don Kallis thing just was
weird to me. And yeah, and according to Tony Kahan

(31:56):
after the match, Kenny Okada, because he the Continental champion,
the unified title will be defended under Continental Championship rules,
which means that there's gonna be no outside interference and
stuff like that. But yet he's still going to defend
the Continental championship in the Continental I don't get it.
I don't get the unified thing. I don't understand it.

(32:17):
It doesn't make any sense. But I give this a very,
very fringe thumbs down just because I feel like it
did not meet my expectations. I was expecting this great
match between these two legends, and it was a little disappointed,
not terribly disappointed.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
But a little Yeah, we're about to get some hate
on this, so yeah, I agree. I think it was
a thumbs down as well. I give it like a c.
I it did not live up to any expectation. The
match was. It had a right winner, which I like
a lot of people are like, oh, maybe I should
have won. Why why Okada is him? Okata is a
top three four star in AAW right now he really is,

(32:55):
he should have won. He won. But other than that, yeah, man,
I don't I don't get the belt thing. I guess
we'll find out on data mine on Wednesday tomorrow. But
other than that, yeah, thumbs down. The match was it
was what it was. It was. It was really slow,
it was plied. They were building up to it and
then just never got there. And it had a few

(33:15):
moments but not enough to put it over the top.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
So yeah, no, yeah, especially considering how great those other
two matches were that they had in New Japan and
then then they had this one and I was like, oh, okay,
just under delivered.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
True that all right? Main event time the man Hangman
Adam Page defeats John Moxley, opens up the case, sees
the belt, cries phenomenal freaking moment. We'll get into that
interference all over the place. We had Hangman Page put
Marina Shafir through a table man on Woman Crime. We

(33:53):
had the return of Brian Danielson or Daniel Brian, whatever
you want to call him, with a he bring mask
on for some reason. But we had the return to him.
We had the return My moment of the weekend, Darby
Allen cutting a pro mo on the top of Mount Everest,

(34:16):
a pro mo Ryan on the top of Mount Everest.
He came down, which I don't like people coming down
anymore since so one heart, but he came down. We
had everyone in the death writers. Who else did we have?
Am I missing anyone? Who else? Interfered? We had? Was
it right? Yeah? Oh? Swerve and swerve? Was I forget

(34:37):
this match perfectly? Once again? I said it and I said,
would be the seth rolin. What's he won? Which he
was Hangman wins, thumbs up, thumbs down. They wanted to
bleed and hoh shit did they? John Moxley bled in
about three minutes, two and a half minutes. Yeah, I
didn't time it, but he bled instantly. The Hangman blood
right after that, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
I'm going to give this whole thing thumbs up.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
I think this was Oh I liked it.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
I did. I liked it. I thought the moment was great.
I thought the match was great. I thought, you know, yeah,
it was overbooked and there was a lot of interferences,
but yeah, we anticipated that. I didn't mind the blood.
And the reason why I didn't mind the blood is
because nobody else on the card bled the entire night,
so they saved the blood for the main event. Usually

(35:23):
in ae W it's like, oh well, m j F
bled and the Gauntlet match, and and then will Osprey
and Swerve were bleeding in their tag team match, and
Samoa Joe was bleeding before he got taken, and it's
like okay, Like and now hanging in and John Moxley,
you are bleeding, and it's like, okay, it's lost all
of its lusser. This this this blood meant something because
they saved it. They I feel like they're they're really

(35:44):
listening to the critics with everything that they're doing. But yeah,
the match was great. The main event, I mean, the
moment we all wanted was Hangman Page dethroning John Moxley.
The right man one fantastic moment. Hang Man page was
in tears. He opened up that briefcase and the little

(36:05):
details like the it's still having Brian Danielson's side plates
on the title was a very brief Yeah it still
had because he just nothing with it. He yeah, which
he just put it right in a briefcase. And I
just I love those little details. I thought that was great. Yeah,
and Swerve handing him the chain that he used to

(36:26):
beat Hangman in the Texas Death match they had the
year before. It was just all little little things like
that was just fantastic and yeah, I was the right
man one Darby Allen. The promo on Mount Effists was great. Uh,
Brian Danielson's return was everything. Everything about this main event
was good. I'm going to give it a thumbs up.
I think this was, you know, a great main event

(36:49):
and the moment we all wanted to happen has happened.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
Now.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
I'm curious how they follow up on this and what
do they do with Hangman's reign going forward.

Speaker 1 (36:59):
Yes, one, hey Man deserves it. His first rain was
one of the worst aw World Championship rains. I didn't
think he was ready yet he is so ready now
he is that guy, so number one, he deserves it
before I rate this batch. Number two, John Moxley deserves
his flowers. Give them to him more than enough. This
was the greatest aw World Championship reign of all time.

(37:22):
On top of that, this is the greatest John Moxley
has ever been. That's including dd Ambrose eight. Whatever you
want to do, this was the great He has carried
this damn company on his back. He deserves more than
enough flowers. Number three, I am now the official number
one Darby Allen fan in the world. I have so
much respect for the fact that he got hit by

(37:43):
a bus and just started wrestling the next day, the
fact that he climbed Mount Everest and then cut a
pro Most people can't make it halfway through Everest. He
made it all the way to the top and cut
a fucking promo. Bro cut a promo on the top
of Mount Everest. Then came Darby Allen. I respect If
you can't see me, I'm bound to you. With that said,

(38:05):
I get this match. That thumbs down. Oh I'm glad,
hang Man one. But here's why you have two of
the best wrestlers in AEW professional wrestlers two of the
best top ten wrestlers in all of professional wrestling, and
what do you have them do? Ninety percent of their

(38:26):
match was let's try to see what we can do
to make the crowd grossed out and bleed that I
have people hitting me up. It's a Texas death match, bro,
I'll get it. You can have a Texas death match
and make it fifty to fifty. They did no wrestling.
It was stab stab stab burn burn, but throw you
on nails, try to hurt the dude. Bob, Oh, you're

(38:48):
not being cut open. Okay, let me get four more
minutes and like Gradi, your face and try. It was
just too much of true. This is your WrestleMania main event,
and all you did was try to make each other bleed.
I did not like that. The match itself is a
thumbs down, everything around it white thumbs up, just as
what it is.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
Yeah, I think that's fair. I think that's fair. Yeah,
certainly a valid criticism. And yeah, when they told me
that the the stipulation was the Texas Death Match, I
was a little disappointed. I was hoping for just a
standard one on one match and you know, or like
a no interferre or you know, street fight something where
there's so that way everyone can interfere and help out.

(39:31):
But yeah, Texas Death Match. I feel like they turned
it up a little bit. But I did like that
they didn't that they used wrestling stuff though, you know,
they they used babble wire, which is common and red.
They didn't use syringes, they didn't use cinder blocks, they
didn't use way crazy over the top stuff that AW
has been known to use before. But yeah, you're right,

(39:54):
I can, I can make that argument.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
I can, yeah argument, Yeah, yeah, all right. Well that
was it aw all In Texas review. Overall, like I said,
it was a good pay per view. Even though it
was the worst all in of all time, it was
still good. I wish they would have done a little
bit more. I don't know, but don't hate me AW fans.

(40:16):
I still loved it. And the good thing is I
am looking forward to Dynamite. I'm looking forward to the future.
There's so much positive is going on. The best thing
about this card was that everybody who won should have won.
That was the best thing. Yeah, sometimes you get matches,
they're all great. The pay per view is good, but
the booking is wrong. This booking like, tell me one
person who won who shouldn't have won. There's nobody. Yeah,

(40:39):
everybody won who should have won. It was all the
right decisions. Ravo to Tony K and AW for that.
But other than that, yeah, man, it is what it is.
And it was too long, sorry, Tony K. Never do
a six hour pay per view again. That's wait seven
hours if you include too long, too freaking long.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
But yeah, yeah, yeah it was. I thought it was
a good show. I am looking forward to Dynamite. I'm
there's a lot of stories, say AW is telling you now,
and you know the Coping Cage reunion, the Young Bucks
with not having e VPS, MJF is the number one contender,
the you know all the times in the champ, Yeah,

(41:17):
a man's champ. There's so many things going on to Yeah, Tony,
what's gonna do now?

Speaker 1 (41:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (41:23):
Yeah, So there's a lot of stories that they can
tell from this one show. So I just hope they
continue this momentum because AW is on a hot streak
right now and they just need to keep the momentum
going and they're they're trajecting up and I want to
see them keep climbing up the ranks.
