Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's two dudes with attitudes of wrestling podcasts with Brian
Enjoys Wrestling and m w O and it is time
for our highs and lows for this week of WWE
all things.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Saturay Night's Made Event Raw and NXT. Ryan. Are you
ready let's tell them what these highs and lows were
this week.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Yeah, there's a lot of things to be excited about.
There's a lot of things to be upset about.
Speaker 4 (00:23):
But let's get to it.
Speaker 5 (00:26):
Two dudes with attitudes, let's go the two dudes and
attitudes ruthless aggressively speaking, so less dude is with Brian
and didn't they here they get your attention of five
stark raw candshit stalks in it and whether it's the
e or so only the two dudes with the attitudes
of brinnan hey get the point yet so on time
(00:47):
of lackeys, listen to the podcast when they get it popping.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah, man, there was there was a lot of highs
and there are a.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Lot of loaves. So with that, Zaid, let's you ready,
you're ready to get it?
Speaker 4 (01:05):
I am? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:06):
All right, start with the highs.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Let's get it all right. Highs, Ryan, what you got
you know.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
I'm gonna go the people who deserve all the praise
and accolades in the WWE right now, and that is
the entire women's division. I'm gonna say this that the
women are the ones that are carrying the WWE at
this very moment. The women are what's keeping the WWE interesting.
(01:35):
If you take the women out of WWE, you really
don't have any compelling stories. You really don't. I mean
you have cm Punk and Gunther, which cool, that's a
great match for SummerSlam. But Cody Rose and John Cena,
We've seen that at WrestleMania.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
It was boring.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
And then you really have Then you have Jelly Roll,
you know, like you don't have you really don't have
any like you have Jade and now Jade and Naomi
or Jaden Tifty Stratton rather for the women's title and
Leah Ripley, Yeah, Naomi and Ria now and Eo and
she's swerved us and cashed in. Charlotte Clair and Alexa Bliss,
(02:12):
Jordan Grace and Blake Monroe, j C Jane, Stephanie Viquer,
Julia Bianca, bel Air, Chelsea Green, Rip, Raquel Rodriguez, Live
Morgan Roxanne Perez Becky Lynch liar of Valkyrie like, the
women are absolutely thriving in all facets of WWE, that's
NXC included.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
They are killing it.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
They're carrying both brands, the Raw brand, the SmackDown brand
and the NXC brand, and the women are what's keeping
the making the w w E fun, making the WWE enjoyable,
and certainly making the WWE interesting. So shout out to
all the women and Evolution was a fantastic pl E,
probably pl of the year so far.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
I fully agree with you well said.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
I have already said this. I'm gonna save for the
first time of this podcast. WWE needs extreme, an all
women's TV show. I think it should be called ww Evolution.
I think it should be on Thursdays. We already have Mondays,
Tuesdays and Fridays. Why not add that Thursday. There's no
one in that spot, I mean TNA, but they can
do it at a different time. And I think they
need to have standalone pls, just like NXT does. I
(03:17):
don't think it would cost a wt BE that.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Much money more.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
I think it would make nothing but profit and I
think it would finally give all those people who want
to see women's wrestling. Get the chance to see women's wrestling,
you know what I mean. They say they don't have
enough time to fit them on the schedule. This is
a perfect time to do that. So yeah, Bravo, I
agree with what you're saying. Man, these women are killing it.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah they are. They are absolutely.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Threatened well saying that. My first high is one Blake
Monroe and Jordan Grace. I like what they did this week.
I actually enjoyed their little glamour video where Jordan didn't
want to get all prettied up, but she did and
she kind of liked it. And then you know, they
teamed up and they won at Evolution, and they follow
that up going into oh no, they won, I'm sorry
(03:59):
Great American Bash, and then they followed it up on
Evolution where Jordan Grace went against Ja C Jane and
Jordan Grace asked her, come on, Blake, we're best friends,
we know each other for a whole week. I want
you in my corner. Blake was like, no, no, don't
put me in your corner. And you just knew something
was up and bought a bing, bought a belt to
the back. Jordan Grace loses to jac Jane because of
the blakeman row turn. And then on this week's NXT
(04:22):
shit Jordan Grace came out and just interrupted a match,
put the beatdown on. Everyone called out Blake Monroe and
she pops up with her cool little cartoon thing and
she was like old school Mariah May, which I said,
is what I wanted. And you weren't sure, right, you
said people might, oh you're copying, you know aew, but
who gives a shit. It was awesome and she was
like she gave her two options. I forgot what it was.
(04:45):
But nonetheless she was like, be here next week. You
got a front row seat to watch my singles match.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
I think this match is gonna be awesome. I think
it takes away everybody from jac Jane right now because
I think Blake Monroll will eventually beat Jordan Gase and
move on to that, so it gives her some time
to click. I loved it, man, So yeah, my high
is definitely these two women. They showed out this week. Yeah,
great story, the best woman's storyline possibly right now.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Maybe hot hot, hottest, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
And and the crazy thing is they've only been a
thing for like two weeks.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
I mean, Blake just got the.
Speaker 3 (05:18):
NXT and it already shows her star power, it already
shows just how good she is because this is one
of the most compelling stories that they're telling.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
And it's only been.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
About three weeks of you know, three weeks in action.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
So I'm loving it. I'm digging it.
Speaker 3 (05:34):
I'm curious to know who she wrestles next week on
an XC TV when she makes her debut on regular
weekly NXC and.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
She is she's She's wrestling the No Quarter Catch Crew girl.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
Okay, nice?
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Remember she said, yeah, she said that other thing. She
was like, and I get we're on I gotta worry
about myself. I faced Blake ben Road.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Next week and the boys were fighting. We'll focus on you.
Well yeah it was kind of like a secondary path.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Yeah it was a throwaway.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Okay, so easy win, easy way.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
Yeah, it'll be an easy win for her.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
And yeah, I'm excited. I'm curious to see what Jordan
Grace does and yeah, I love what they're doing right now.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
All right, that's girl girl, our favorite type of thing.
What's your number two high of.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
The who I'm going back to the men's higher. Oh hi,
your second high?
Speaker 2 (06:21):
You get two highs. Brother, you might be high right now,
let's hear it.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
Probably you know what I'm gonna go with the match.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
I am gonna go back to the men's division and
I'm going to go with the match that stole the weekend.
I think that nobody's talking about and that's also back
in NXC, and that's Ricky Saints versus Ethan Page for
the North American Championship in the Falls count Anywhere match.
I think this match was it's being slept on, but
it might be in the Match of the Year contenders.
(06:48):
Nobody's really talking about it. With the Naomi cash In,
the Roman Return, the Goldberg retirement aw all in had
them Paige winning all the crazy things that went on
in that peep at that pay per view. But yeah,
Ethan Page and Ricky Saints stole the show and I
am high on both of those guys. They are killing
it in NXT, They're crushing it. These guys are stars.
(07:11):
WWE is bringing the star power out of them. Ethan Page,
he got a huge win at the Great American Bash
over Ricky Saints to solidify his championship reign. But that match, man,
I highly recommend everybody go back and watch that match.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
There was no.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
Blood, they didn't need it. It was just fantastic storytelling
from start to finish, and it was entertaining. The near
falls were great. There were times where I thought Ricky
Saints was gonna win. There were times where I thought
Ethan Page was gonna win. It was just an entertaining
match from start to finish and definitely the match of
the weekend that absolutely nobody is talking about.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Well said, and I went back and watched it after
we did our review of the show, and dude, that
Razor's edge through all those tables, everything, and.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
They brought it.
Speaker 1 (07:55):
They they're yeah, you said it all, so cheers, good job,
that's a good good At Second High, I'm going a
whole different route.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
I'm going funny. I'm going dirty.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Don my Boy and AJ Styles they are just ever
since they started it has been hilarious. And I was
excited before they got into the funny when it was
just gonna be them wrestling, because I thought that's a
first good you know, true defense, true storyline for Dom.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Against AJ Styles, a legend.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Everyone's gonna think AJ is just gonna walk through him
and this and that they're building up obviously. I think
they're gonna wrestle at summer Simon. It seems like Dom
is ready and cleared already. But I just think it's
hilarious with what we talked about early with the praying
and not praying. If you caught our other show with
you know, him praying that he doesn't get healed soon
and AJ praying that God don't listen to him. It
was just all funny stuff. It's been funny everything about it.
(08:44):
So yeah, domin aj Man, they're my high this week.
And I'm just a domb lover, but I like AJ
as well.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
And yeah, that was the funniest good Yeah, Man showing
some personality lately and I love it. And yeah, and
then I love the thing with the doctor's note with
Dom too. Oh yeah, you know he's holding it up
and he's like, but it says I'm not cleared.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
It's just fantastic stuff. Like it was just really really good.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
Yeah, Judgment Day, they are, they're thriving right now, and
I think they're better off without Live Morgan, as crazy
as that sounds, because she was great with them. But
I think the chemistry with Raquel is great. I think
they're thriving right now without her, and I can't wait
for her to come back to and see what kind
of what kind of Shenanigan she gets them into and
(09:30):
throw her into the mix, and it's just gonna make
it more entertaining.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Yeah, I agree, all right? I hate ending on the lows.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
I should have started with the lows. We haven't done
this as a standalone segment yet I messed up.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
But the lows. What's the first low of the week.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Oh man, I'm gonna go. The WWEES tag team division.
It's just it's the worst it's ever been. New Day
was completely fumbled. The Wyatt six won the tag team
titles last week on SmackDown, and absolutely nobody cares. Grayson
Waller is with the New Day now for some reason,
(10:04):
like he's hanging out with them. But where the heck
is Austin theory?
Speaker 4 (10:08):
You know?
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Adam Pierce this week said that there's going to be
a chance for the New Day to earn their tag
team titles back and they have to win a number
one contender ship match, but against who I mean, the
war Raiders. We never see them wrestle unless they're competing
for the tag team titles. Alpha Academy, the l LWO. Like,
none of these tag teams are anything special, none of
(10:30):
them are any good. The Tag Division is just very
very mid right now. On SmackDown, it's the same four
teams doing things over and over and over. It's DIY,
Street Profits, MotorCity Machine Guns, and now the Wyatts, and
it's just washprints, repeat, And this division is in dire
need of an overhaul. I don't know what the solution is.
(10:50):
Maybe Phraxium can save it, but even they're on SmackDown
and they're kind of not being used very well either,
So I don't know this The Tag division is just
is a It's the worst that it's ever.
Speaker 1 (11:01):
Been in WWE well said, I agree, And just that
booking of the White Six beating out the Street Profits
was ins were like the hottest tag team in the
world right now, and you just, I don't know, that
was weird, weird, weird, weird, all right, My first low,
I'm gonna give it to the whole entire thing, and
that was all of Saturday Night's main event and the
(11:21):
whole this show needs to end. I'm sorry. Jesse Ventura
isn't doing it for me anymore. He seems like he
doesn't even watch whatsoever, and he just reads some notes.
He was ten minutes before he jumps on air. If
we're gonna keep doing these events too, we can't just
have Michael Cole doing every single one. We gotta get
some new announcement. He was doing every single show. He
just seems lost as well. The injury, the commercial breaks
(11:45):
and Goldberg getting cut off at the end, it just
seems like they had no idea what the hell they were, Like,
Like I was producing the show, it was just like
a really really weird thing.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
You got.
Speaker 1 (11:55):
The most focused on this entire two hour show was
Jelly Roll. And if you're gonna do Saturday Night's Man
event with this many commercials and you don't then make
it three hours, at least you could have had longer
like two of the match. One match was eight minutes.
I think the first match was eight minutes, second one
was like ten. Seth Rawls was only like one minute,
and then Goldberg was fourteen like the fourteenth I'm not
(12:15):
all about long matches, but they all need at least
fourteen minutes. Come on, man, this is like work are
It's like, I don't know, especially when you have that
many commercials. You gotta make the matches longer. Satura Night's
Man event. I have yet to like it since it
came back. It just has not been working for me.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
No, and the fact that nothing happens on these shows either,
Like you know, you have John Cen and Our Truth
in a non title match one of the Saturday Nights
Man events, you had Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, but
the belt it was very strange for the stolen Wing
Eagle Championship.
Speaker 4 (12:49):
And I think they've.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Only had I think they've only had one title change,
and that was when Chelsea Green won the women's US title.
But that was the conclusion of a tournament. It wasn't
like she beats them, but she know there was the
first you know, crowning the first ever champion. But ever
since then, there's been no title changes. There's been no
no angles advanced, no storylines pushed other than Jelly Roll and.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
You know Logan Paul this week.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
So yeah, yeah, just they got to do away with
these or take them off of NBC. If you're going
to add it that way, put them on Peacock exclusively
and then hype it up and that way, you know,
we can deal with the commercials. But then you don't
have to worry about cutting off goldbrig speech. You don't
have to worry about you know, you can go over
a little bit because you're on you're on peacock.
Speaker 4 (13:33):
So that's what they mean. I think that can help.
But they just they got to do something. They got
to do something.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
I fully agree. All right, what's your last negative? Your
last helone?
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Yeah, I'm going uh, I'm going back to the men.
You know, I sung the praises of the women and
Ricky santon ethan page earlier, but I'm going to the
men now, and I'm going to go to one particular
male and that's our truth. Ever since his return after
being released at by the w w A, and he
(14:04):
came back at Money in the Bank and took out
John Cena. Ever since then, he's been a complete and
utter disappointment. You know, he spent weeks weeks calling out
John Cena. He single handily beat up another member of
the tag team division.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
Elton Brown. Not Elton Brown, but Elton of the Elton John.
Speaker 3 (14:26):
Of the what's the tag team that they're in?
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Oh, you're talking about pretty deadly, pretty deadly?
Speaker 3 (14:33):
Yes, Yes, attacking them. He attacked them and just to
get a match with Johnsena. He finally gets that rematch
with John Cena and how does it end in a disqualification?
And then then it's used He's kind of used as
second fiddle to John Cena cutting the pipe bomb on
CM Punk. So it's Our Truth is just a secondary
(14:54):
character to John Cena and CM Punk. So then what
do they how do they go with it from there?
John Our Truth versus Alistair Black and and.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
You know, cool, okay, fine, yeah, fine, cool. We're getting
a great match.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Between these two guys, and what are they doing? Our
Truth is just a secondary character now to Alistair Black
turning heel and beating up Damian Priest. So now it's
gonna be Priest and priest in Black wrestling each other.
And Our Truth is just kind of in la la land.
And I just feel like, you know, first of all,
why are they still calling him our Truth? When he
said that his name was Ron Killings, put some respect
(15:28):
on his name, he cut his braids off, and that
one promo, you know, he had that great promo on
that raw after Money in the Bank, he introduced himself
and ever since then, it's been a complete letdown. And
this has really really been a disappointment because TNA Ron
Killings was something special and I was kind of hoping
(15:49):
we were getting something like that in WWE, and instead
they dropped.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
The ball in a big way. And now I don't
really care about our truth.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Ron Killings, whatever the hell is named is right now
and it's been one big fumble by Triple H Bro.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
I'll tell you this right now. If they fired him tomorrow,
I don't think anyone would say anything. And that's I
don't think so either, Yeah, or our truth poor. I
what a waste, But but we still have time. Hopefully
they pick it back up again. Yeah, all right, my
last low, Yeah, well I don't I don't, I don't.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
I don't think.
Speaker 1 (16:21):
I don't think it's any of this. I'm telling you.
I think this was planned to try to have the job.
But we haven't seen seen on a while either, So
all right, my last low is the entire Gauntlet match.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
I didn't get it. I do understand that.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
You need big hitters to make it believable and who's
gonna win or who's not gonna win, but the fact
that you had Penta lose l a night after Seth
Rowland defeats and then jay Uso, the former champion, can't
figure it out, and then to have bron Breaker lose
after getting a promo with Gunther right beforehand, to defeat everybody,
to only lose the ninety seven year old See Him
(16:56):
Punk Clean. It was very, very, very bizarre the whole.
If it wasn't for Roman Reigns coming out, it would
have been an entire disaster. I mean, I'm okay with
see Them Punk versus gun there was just the build
up to it. I think bron Breakers should have lost.
Speaker 4 (17:11):
First.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
They should have somebody come interfere and cost him and
have him go on his rampage and it's yeah, you know,
like anything like that. Yeah, But instead just to have
him run through it all for nothing. It was just
really really weird. The gotlet was forty five minutes of
raw fifteen minutes. It was like seventeen commercial. I don't know,
it just it was a really really bizarre everything I
(17:31):
didn't it felt like it was off. It felt like
Saturay Night's made event. So that's my other negative of
the week.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
I love Yeah, Yeah, this was a weird way to
end the show. I mean I'm happy Roman Rains is
back and that saved it. But everything else, the match itself,
La Night losing second. It was the order of everybody too,
like Penta going down first, and then La Knight, then
jay Uzo. I'm like really, and then you know, see
(17:58):
them Punk ends up winning the whole thing. But yeah,
it was just very very strange booking, strange how they
got there, and you know, like I don't know what
they're doing with jay I don't know what they're doing
with La Night, Like it feels like a lot of
people are lost going into songs.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
I agree. I agree.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
