Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's Two Dudes with Attitudes of Wrestling podcast with Ryan
and Joys Wrestling and m WO and it is our
w w E audition. Well, we're gonna talk all things
Saturday Night's Mad Event, Raw and n x T. If
you haven't caught it, we already posted. Our reviews are
going to be posted. They're already posted of Great American

(00:24):
Bash and evolutions to check those out if you hadn't.
This is just this week in review. It's since Saturday
Night's Man Event was technically a TV show not a
pl ee, we added it to this Ryan, are you excited?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I am. I'm still recovering from the crazy week of wrestling.
There's still more wrestling on throughout the week, so it's
been a crazy week, chaotic week. But the two dudes
are here. Man, that's what we do and we're back.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Yes we are. Let's get this show going.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Let's go too those with attitudes, Let's go duels and attitudes,
routs aggressively speaking some less dude is we're brown and
didn't they here? It gets your attention of five stop
braw cans stalk today and whether it's the E or
so on, the two dudes with the attitudes of Brendan

(01:13):
Hay get the point yet, so on time to Lackey.
Listen to the podcast when it get it popping.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Yeah, not only still recovering, but we didn't get a
break after that because right on Sunday there was Monday Raw,
Tuesday NXT. I've watched almost all the Dynamite. It's like
non yep stop man, non stop wrestling. I need to.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
I'm SmackDown on Friday, slam Aiversary on Saturday with Trick
Williams depending the TNA title, j C.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Jane going well title versus title?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yeah, I mean collision in case anyone wants to watch
aw collision, And is.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
It on Saturday not Thursday?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I think it's back on Yeah, I think it's on
back on Saturday this week. Not one hundred percent sure,
not one hundred percent sure, all right about it?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
But all right, well there it is. Let's get into it,
you ready, Let's let's rate this phenomenal, in my opinion,
the card of the weekend. Saturday Night's made event. That's
a joke, people, It was the card of the weekend.
But we're gonna thumbs up and thumbs down this bad
boy every single match, all four of them, we give
a thumbs up and a thumbs down. A thumbs up

(02:30):
means it was eighty percent or better, meaning above average.
Thumbs down means it was a sea or worse, which
means it was under average. So it could be average.
It could be, but it still means we're giving it
a thumbs down. So we might not have hated it,
we just didn't love it. With that said, let's get
into it. Ryan first up, so we'll go there.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
First match of the night was, yeah, I don't have
the match order correct? Oh god, all right, the way
I thought the order should have been. But yeah I
was wrong.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
You were again, only off by a mile and a half.
All right, yeah, but you were right, Hanau the one.
All right? You got Randy Orton, Yeah you were We
got Randy Orton defeating Drew McIntyre with the help of
one jelly Roll. That's right. We had jelly Roll and
Logan Paul in their corners. Who what did you think?

(03:23):
Thumbs up, thumbs down.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
I give this a fringe thumbs down. I this was
how you open the show. I get it right. You
get jelly Roll out there. You're trying to you're trying
to get a Pop. You're trying to make the crowd hype,
but this is your return match for Drew McIntyre, who
literally gave his blood, sweat and tears to an amazing

(03:46):
feud last year with see Him Punk was doing phenomenal
things with Damian Priest before he went out on the
shelf a little bit. He comes back and he's in
a random feud with Randy Orton for some reason, and
you have him lose his first match back. And not
only that, but instead of giving him a quote unquote

(04:07):
high profile match at SummerSlam, this show all confirmed that
it's going to be Jelly Roll in Randy Orton versus
Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul, which is high profile in
the like in terms of mainstream and everything, which is good,
but like, I think Drew McIntyre deserves to be competing

(04:27):
for a world title. I think he deserves to be
competing for a mid some sort of championship or close
to the main event scene, and instead they're kind of
relegating him to this and it just feels like they
don't know what to do with him, so let's just
throw him in this random feud with Jelly Roll.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yeah, you know, I got to give it a thumbs
down barely as well. I say it was an average.
It's just Drew losing was too much for me, and
I get it. It was like a cheat to get there.
But I don't care. Randal didn't need this Drew's back.
I just just we ever going to figure out Drew McIntyre.
What's the point of making him so great in him
working so hard for him to just get nothing out

(05:07):
of it. With that said, and the other thing too
was the commercials. Bro This was like a ten minute match.
We only got about five minutes of it, so you
don't even get to see much of the match. It's
just these Saturday made events I think need to go away.
I think they were fun back in the days when
we were kids, and it replaced Saturda Night Live and
this and that. But these commercials, every single one they've

(05:29):
done now, it's just it takes over and consumes the
matches itself. But I don't hate the jelly roll stuff
as much as everybody else is. I think it is
high profile. It's not gonna main event summersime. It's just
gonna put eyeballs out. It needs to be there. My
only thing is that you have Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
Logan Paul's supposed to be like the outsider, right, like

(05:53):
you know, like the celebrity as well to Randy Orton's
Jelly role. But when you really think about it, Logan
Paul is not only one of the top wrestlers in
the world today, he's also a former champion. He's also like,
it's not like Logan Paul just came off the streets
and is like, how do I do this thing? Guys,
Like he's wrestled freaking Roman Reigns in a main event.

(06:14):
This isn't just it just seems like a very uneven matchup.
But when I'm getting the thing I liked was that.
Props to Logan Paul because this man has sold fear,
he sold the punches. He has made Jelly Roll, who
is probably the least athletic and tough person I've ever
seen in my life, look like he actually knows what
the hell he's doing. So props the Logan Paul man.

(06:36):
Because Logan Poll's a legit fighter, Like he trains as
a boxer, he knows how to box. He boxs Floyd Mayweather.
Whether you think it was real or not. We haven't. So,
I mean, the guy is an actual fighter and he's
over here taking punches from Jelly Roll like he's getting
hit by Mike Tyson in his prime. So I do
think that is cool. But other than that, this match
was a huge Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah, I just don't like the fact that Drew mckints
are loss and then the match itself really didn't do
it for me. It was all the postmach shenanigans that
was That was the most interesting part of the whole thing.
But yeah, I'm we got to figure out Drew McIntyre.
They got to give him something after this, whether it's
a world title shot, a title run, something, they got
to give him something.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
He's about to take an l at SummerSlam, so there's
a chance Jelly Role is losing unless he like turns heel.
There's no chance he's losing at Somers. God did I
just talk that into the universe. Next match, Solo Socoa
defending his US Championship for the first time against where

(07:40):
is it at? Solo and Jimmy where are they at?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
You got that they added this match? That's right, that's right, Yeah, graphics.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
So that's right. So Solo Socoa defends his US title
against One Jimmy Uzzo and we get the return of
Jacob Fato. Laid everybody out at.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
The end anywhere.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
I meant either, but they were like, here, that's a
bigger for a wag.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
I was like, yeah, okay, just because something's gone, Yeah
it doesn't Yeah, but uh, you know what, I'll give
this match a thumbs up. I was. I was, I
I'm digging Solo, so I'm digging his heel thing. I'm
glad that he's getting his flowers. I'm happy that Jimmy

(08:24):
Usso got some shine as well, because I feel like
he's always the the outcast of the the USO family.
You know, Jay's gotten world heavyweight title matches. You know,
Solo's the US champion. I dug this match. I thought
it was enjoyable, and I like that it continued the story,
you know, like we were talking about with Saturday night's
main event. This, This and the Drew McIntyre thing are

(08:48):
the only two things that happened on the show that
advance and angle and move things to you know, to
get you to want to tune into SmackDown or Raw
the following week. Everything else was just kind of fodder.
Everything else is just kind of filler, and nothing ever
happens on these shows. So I like that this match
stuff actually happened. And then Jacob Battou coming out looking

(09:10):
like a beast as always, it's always entertaining when he
comes up.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Yeah, I'm gonna do a fringe thumbs down again. This
was an average match for me, But I really think
it was the commerce. I don't think I can get
into a match commercials and it's and it's weird because
when I watch matches on ron Smack then I don't
feel like the commercials get in the way for some reason.
They're longer, they're in the wrong spots, they're they're just
like they're more. I don't Yeah, I don't get it.

(09:37):
But yeah, I mean I like Solo winning. Him and
Jimmy were all right. I feel like Jimmy needs to
stop wrestling his family. He's at his worse when he
wrestles his family, and it's like he doesn't work for something.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Yeah, he's like stuck in a time loop against his family.
And first it was with Roman, then it was against Jay,
and then it was against Solo, then it was against Roman,
then it was against Jay Now he's back against Solo
and Jacob and yeah, it's very strange.

Speaker 1 (10:04):
It is strange. It is strange, and I do like
Fattu returning, but I've seen it. I give it a
French thumbs down. Yeah, yeah, all right, Ellen Knight and
Seth Rollins got started and then they ended. Seth gets
hurt and La Knight pins them puts him in his finisher.
That's about it. What do you got?

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Yeah, Unfortunately I got to give this one a thumbs down.
You know, it was a great matchup until the Seth
Rollins injury, but then it's really a thumbs down because
of the injury has nothing to do with the performers
in the ring, has nothing to do with, you know,
any of their characters or the story that they're telling
or anything. It was just a fluke of an injury

(10:47):
that happens, and you know, prayers out to Seth Rollins hopefully.
I just I hated it, and I feel like this
took this deflated the entire building. This took the energy
out of the building, just like the Adam Cole speech
at beginning of All In, which was being was still
going on by the time Saturday Night's main event was airing.

(11:07):
That kind of took the air out of the all
in crowd. This took the air out of the Saturday
night main event crowd seeing Seth Rollins injured. It's not
a work, It wasn't a story. I thought maybe there
was a chance that it was and he was going
to cash in later on in the night, and that
never proved to be true. Yeah. I mean, shout out

(11:29):
to Seth though, for being the professional, because they could
have just called the match, but he went out there
and he finished it and he gave La Night the victory.
I don't know if you know this, but that wasn't planned.
So yeah and yeah, so shout out to Seth for
being the constant professional. And I just I hate it

(11:50):
because he's the money in the bank winner. There's he's
involved in so many storylines. He's got the thing with
Roman Reigns, he's got the thing with Cee him Punk,
He's got all the stuff with USO and his faction
and everything going on there, and I just feel like
all of that just went out the window in ten
seconds because of this crazy injury. So I hated it,

(12:12):
but thumb's down mainly for the injury. I mean it
bros out for a while. This is just I feel
bad for WWE.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
I saw these people like I've made a post and
they're like, Bro, he's out for like five to eight months,
haven't you heard. I'm like, he literally did an interview
today himself and said there is no timetable, and for
some strange reason, he said he wouldn't find out for
two weeks. What's in two weeks? I wonder what's in
two You can check that out of my Underscore Wrestling

(12:41):
Underscore opinion on TikTok, but nonetheless thumbs thumbs down. It
is what it is. I mean, this match probably had
didn't have two commercial breaks with a one minute match,
I forget, but they were able to get some commercials
in there before Seth was hurt. I do like, though,
I have to say I love that everybody's like, this
wasn't planned, bro La and I wasn't supposed to win.

(13:02):
Seth was supposed to cash in bro that. Oh I
didn't know you guys got the script after like who
came out and said any I like that. People just
go on the one person on the internet will talk
and then it'll catch on and it's not even dirt
shey people anymore. It's like random you and I s
who have a TikTok and like post stuff and they're like,
this is what I found that, but and it's like
none of it is true. Or Jonathan Coachman, none of

(13:23):
the Coachman just came out and said Jay and Jimmy
don't even like each other anymore or something, and everyone's
like what. I'm like, how would he know? Coachman is
the new Dave Meltzer. He's one of the worst things
going on in pro wrestling today. He's a piece of shit.
I don't like people who start lies in rumors for
if you don't if you don't have a source, and
I mean a source. I'm not talking about the garbage man,
I'm talking like a source, like you're either in there

(13:46):
or you're bro is a writer and is in the
room of Triple H at all times. Then you don't
have a source. It's not true. So yeah, yeah, the
fuck out of my face with that.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
I agree. I think, uh, it's it's people. Just there
was one person, Brian Alvarez. I think it was another
dirt sheet buffoon, Meltzer. He said that he said that
the injury was a work, but it wasn't a work.
It was it was a work, and that he's it's
not a work, and that he's legitimately hurt, but it's

(14:17):
not a work because he didn't get hurt in the match.
The match was a cover for an injury that he
had like a couple of weeks ago. I was like, wait,
what this And people are running with that theory too,
that he didn't really get hurt in this match. He
got hurt a couple of weeks ago, but they're using
this match just like this is stupid. Who cares, and like,
stop stop running, stop spreading stuff. Nobody knows and you know,

(14:39):
seth rollins. He could be out for three weeks, he
could be out for five months, he could be out
for but either way, the roof's gonna blow off the
joint whenever he does come back, and everyone's going to
be excited to have him back.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Yeah, we'll see. But I like how the fact that
they're like, no, he blew his knee out a week
ago and they continued to run. No, he did his restructure,
he just got that thing fixed, and he didn't He's
just gonna go ahead and have matches like people are
so stupid. Yeah, especially that guy gets paid to be stupid.
That's the worst, all right, I am.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
I do worry about his knees though. He's got to
stop doing He may have to change his moodset or something,
because he tore this knee last year on the road
to WrestleMania. Then he got hurt at WrestleMania when he
tried to protect Cody Rhodes, and now he's hurt again.
And this is all like three times in a year.
So he may have to change his moodset, stop doing

(15:26):
moon salts and stuff.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
But I don't know. Yeah, it's it's crazy, all right.
Next up the main event, Gunta defends his title against
One Goldberg and then Goldberg has probably, in my opinion,
the greatest farewell speech ever. He had to talk to
his home crowd.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
We'll be right back. We're going to commercially yeah, yeah,
we'll be right back after this. This is very important
announcement from Bluetoo.

Speaker 1 (15:55):
But oh, I wish we need that sponsor, homie. But
the funny is is that if you don't know he
was in his hometown, he started talking and NBC was like,
we're done. I guess NBC refuses to go a minute over.
They cut that shit. He didn't even get to He
was like, thank you everyone, I'm so happy to bet,
and it was like done. And Goldberg now has come

(16:16):
out and become like a hill. He's cutting like Hill
promos now basically like calling out WWE for it the
disrespect and pretty wild st up. But nonetheless thumbs up,
thumbs down.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
You know what, I'm gonna give this thumbs up. And
you know, the one person who I don't think is
getting a lot of credit because all we're hearing about
is Goldberg, Goldberg, Goldberg. But Gunther gave Goldberg his best
match in a long, long time. Gunther carried Goldberg in
this match, and Gunther made Goldberg went what fourteen minutes

(16:51):
or so, and you know that's crazy, Like usually he
goes about two three minutes at most, and now he's
been fourteen Like yeah, and but but yeah, man, Gunther
like thumbs up. Me and Gunther got a great match
out of Goldberg. There there was times where I never

(17:13):
really thought Goldberg was going to win. But I wouldn't
have put it past w W to put the title
on Goldberg. But thumbs up to Gunther, especially for carrying
Goldberg to a great match, and Goldberg has no reason
to be bitter or upset about everything. It was all
you know, you blame, blame the television executives. Don't blamewe.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
No, And they posted it on w w A com
like instantly, the whole speech. So it's not like they
were like they gave him that. They didn't, but it was.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
But it was weird. It was weird that like he
won the match and then they went to commercial while
like his music's going Yeah. Then they came back and
then he's doing his speech and then like you could
see like Michael Cole was like panic, like, oh, we
got We're gonna have to hurry this up. It was
very strange.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
It was. It was especially because it was planning to
go only one minute, and yeah, I give this a
thumbs up. I'm not Bully Ray where I'm gonna say
this was an A plus match. I'm not delusional or
or getting bent over by the WWE. I mean I would,
but I'm not currently. But here's the thing. Right when
I am Bully Ray, I'm right with you. But no, Gunther,

(18:20):
for one, did the best he could, and he carried
Goldberg through this and people are like, well Goldberg got carried, Okay,
cool people get carried all the time. I thought it
was great stuff I had. I thought I had good
near falls. I thought Goldberg did his best. I enjoyed
this match. It was the only thing I enjoyed for
sent a nice minut event. I'm not gonna say this
was an instant classic. I wouldn't even go back and
ever watch it again. I thought this was gonna be garbage,

(18:42):
trash two minute match. I'm gonna be like, why am
I here? And they didn't do that, so props did them?
Thumbs up?

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Yeah? No, it was a good send off for Goldberg.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Good yes, sir, all right there, it is a nice
man event. If you tuned in, I'm sorry that you
had to watch that. Let's get into it Monday night,
row Baby. They kind of save themselves after this, and
where should we start, you know what, Let's start with
Lyra Valkyria. She is going to face off against Bailey
to see who will face off against Becky at SummerSlam,

(19:10):
and Lyra gets the win. We predicted that, We said
that they were just building up to them, and we
knew it wasn't gonna be Bailey versus Becky. After the match,
Becky comes out to confront Lyra dressed in red and yellow,
basically telling you fans who call her Becky Hogan, she
don't with you. She don't give two rats. She's gonna

(19:31):
bet if you're gonna tell me right now. Becky is
in top five all time. You're don't lose you. Becky
is mother up in top five all time. This was
great stuff. I enjoyed the match too. I thought Lyra
and Bailey brought it. I am sad that Bailey lost
already because now I don't know what we're doing with
Bailey or is she gonna get something again? Is she
gonna disocurre if there's like there's there's a few people

(19:53):
that need respect, right and Naomi was one of them
and she got it, which we already talked about. She
cashed in, surprised the world and now she's the champ
and had phenomena. She's been doing great. But we have
Bailey as well, who just hasn't done anything in years
and got uh one that royal rumble? Was it right
to go face off against EO two? It was EO right?

(20:14):
Or was it was it too?

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (20:16):
And that should have we all said it should have
made evented and then it didn't even get barely any airtime,
they didn't promote it. Then she got left off the
card last year. It's just like, I don't know what
she did or why she keeps shitting in Triple Ah's coffee,
but she deserves better. But nonetheless Becky Lyra, I guess
I'm pumped for it, but I did like it. I
think I just I still don't think Lyra's ready like

(20:38):
her promos. I mean, she got a little bit, but
every time she's kind of been in there with Becky
and Bailey, I feel like she does look lost. And
that's not like what Stephanie Ucaer and Juliet are doing,
who have gotten kind of quick pushes from NXT. So
I don't know if Lyra is ready yet. I don't
know what say you did you you disagree?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Yeah? I hate it for Bailey because she did miss
WrestleMania this year at the last possible minute, and now
she's most likely going to miss SummerSlam, like the two
biggest shows of the year. I'm like, how can you
not have one of your greatest of all time in
doing something at SummerSlam. So that's unfortunate. But you know,

(21:17):
I don't mind. You know, Lyra Valkyrie against Becky Lynch
three at SummerSlam for the Icy title. I think it's
the right move. But this it has to end at SummerSlam.
I can't take another now month of this year, like
it's got to end. It's either got to end with
Becky Lynch retaining, or Becky and Bailey aligning together and

(21:39):
Bailey turning heel doing something like that, or Lyra winning
the Icy title finally in overcoming Becky Lynch. But it's
got to end at SummerSlam.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
It does, and I just don't see how Lera wins.
I don't see it. I know Becky loves her and
that's what she's doing this for giving her the rub,
But I mean, I'm not saying it won't happen. I
just sti't see it.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
And I agree she does look a little lost when
she's out there sometimes, especially with those two. Those two great.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Yeah yeah, And I mean who wouldn't, right, But I
just feel like Sephanie Vicker would hang right, she wouldn't
be as lost as he as truly or so on.
So that's the level she's supposed to be at right now,
All right, let's jump into a side thing. We're not
going to talk about the surprise return. But we had
a gauntlets match. See them punk? I mean, I didn't
even know where this gauntlet match came from, but all
of a sudden it was there. See them punk one.

(22:28):
I'll let you start off. What do you think about it?
The course through this everything building up to it. What
did you say it was?

Speaker 2 (22:34):
It was counterprogramming. AEW had a gauntlet match on All
In on Sunday night. That's probably still going on, so
they it is. They had the WWE counterprogram with a
gauntlet match with their own, so.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
That the match, right though, I like this gauntlet match
better than If you get out, you get out. If
you don't, you don't. I don't know if you'll be
in the match or not. It depends on how quick
someone gets pinned. I don't like that. I think the
matches where you gotta beat everybody in the keep coming
at you, I think that's better. But anyway, not neither
here nor there, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
I thought this gauntlet match was It was good, but
I also thought it was a waste of time. There
was a lot of filler and you know, uh, shout
out to Paul Hayman. I thought he gave a great
promo building up bron Breaker, especially when they're staring down Gunther.
Shout out to Gunther, who might be looking towards like

(23:24):
a babyface run because he was getting a baby face
reaction from the crowd when he was in the ring
with Gunther. So maybe that maybe maybe this was a
sign of the future. But you do all that, I
just can't stay in it when people you know, we're
gonna gun Th, bron Breaker is gonna win the Battle
the Gauntlet match tonight, and he's gonna take you out
at SummerSlam and he's gonna be the new World Heavyweight Champion.

(23:46):
And then bron Breaker loses the Gauntlet match, and it's
just like it kind of a complete nutter waste of time,
waste of promo, waste of waste of everyone's you know,
momentum and and money if you're watching that on the
in the audience. So that was my gripe with it.
I get it was a sign of the future that
that they believe in bron Breaker, and maybe that's like

(24:06):
a Survivor series match, bron Breaker versus Gunther or something.
It's foreshadowing things to come. But I just don't like
all the talkie talk. And then yeah, you know he
makes it. They're they're they're ready, They're they're gonna do
bron Breaker. He's gonna win this thing. And then see,
I'm punk randomly wins it on gts that barely connected

(24:28):
and then bron Breaker's spear barely connected, and like, this
match just felt very off to me. And yeah, it was.
It was fine, you know, l A. Knight take losing
second was very strange. Penthil losing first was strange, especially
because they're supposed to be building these guys up, especially
l A. Knight who just beat Seth Rollins despite the injury,

(24:49):
because you know that wasn't planned. So yeah, I just
thought this match, it had, it had its moments, but
I did think it was little. It was just off
in my opinion. The right person one see him, Punkin Gout.
There's going to be a great match. It's going to
be a banger and Punkin, you know, Punkin can talk

(25:09):
his way into making this a great match, and I'm
excited for it, and I'm actually glad that he actually
earned a title match instead of being like, hey, can
I have a title shot and the person's like, sure,
here you go, which is what happened at night with Johnson.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Yeah, I mean, I agree with you. I thought it
was a weird, but it was also half the raw.
It was like fifty minutes total time of getting everybody out. Yeah,
up to the end. I don't like La Knight beating
Seth Rollins like you said the night before, and then
losing a bron Breaker Brown Breaker. I had already rustled
Penta and was still able to beat l A. Knight.

(25:44):
I thought that was very like, why not pull Elle
Knight out of it? I didn't hear about this gauntlet
match during that, so why was the gauntlet? Gauntlet match
could have been added. It was obviously added after Sunday
Span event, So why not just not put Ella A
Knight in it? I don't even understand he was in it.
Keep his moment. He just beats Seth. You're not gonna
roam with that at all. Mistake or not, he did it,

(26:04):
So build that momentum, right, I mean, do something, I mean,
shoot it, save it for the future. But now that
he already lost a Brown Break over the hell doesn't matter.
Now you're that was already annulled. So there goes that
Pentha losing again. And then jay Uso man former world champion,
trying to come be just like randomly jobs and then
he comes out to make a save later on, and
see him Punk and gets his ass kicks for no reason.

(26:25):
He's just like, what the hell like this former champion,
He's just like a nobody, just like a jobber now
and see him Punk winning. So here's my thing. I
about had a thing out there TikTok, and I said,
you know Punk versus Gunther, I punt did that beforehand.
By the way, I said Punk was gonna beat guntherer
I said he would catch it no money in the
bank briefcase, but nonetheless I knew he was going after

(26:47):
him he faces him. This really smells of seth Rawlins.
This injury either being fake or not fully bad as
people were claiming it is, or think it is, because
why else would you put see him Punk in this
right now? Seeampunk cannot afford a loss of Gunther. And
if Seampunk beats gun through, what do you do with
see him Punk afterwards? You've got to remember, okay, number one,

(27:09):
seth Rollins said, in his interview his knee was swollen.
They're gonna reevaluate in two weeks, that's around SummerSlam. Paul
Hayman said he ain't given up this briefcase. Nobody has
even talked. He hasn't told you, and he's not gonna
give it up. Seth Rollins has said over and over
and over and over and over again. CM Punk will

(27:31):
not win a World championship again in WWE. I'm telling
you right now, this was all happening, bringing in bron
to try to stop it. That's why Braun didn't win,
because Seth is going to cash in at SummerSlam. He's
gonna stop Seampunk from winning an interview on that match.
It gives Gunther an excuse to lose, and it gives

(27:52):
Seampunk an excuse to lose, and they'll continue on their feuds.
So that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
I could see it, I could really see it, and I'm.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Not saying I'm right. I'm saying it just smells like it.
I'm not predictable.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
And the fact that they've been so tight lipped about
Seth Rollins's injury too. Nobody is saying like, oh, it's
a torn ECL. It's a torn amiscus, it's a torn MCL.
He is a torn achilles. Like they haven't done anything normally.
When there's an injury, they don't shut up about it.
You know, see on pop I don't know if you
know this, but he tore his tricep at the Royal
Rumbo last year. I don't. I mean that was he

(28:24):
was everywhere, like the rehab videos and like his promo,
I tore my trice up, Drew McIntyre, Hey, you tore
your trice up. You know, it was all over the place.
You know Ria Ripley when she got hurt, the injury
was well known. You know, Zoe Stark, she she was
They knew that day that she tore her a c L.
Chad Gagles out having shoulder surgery. Live Morgan broke her

(28:46):
shoulder or broke her clavicle or collarbone some some sort of.
But you know we know those injuries. But yeah, Seth Rollins,
they're being very very tight lipped on and it's very
very strange.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Strange. Let's get into something to that's and that that
isn't strange. And that is one judgment day. They had
a night for some somehow Finn Balor stole everyone's belts
and would and got them spit shined, so I don't
know why he had and it looked like everybody was like,
I d get my belt. So he gave them all
their belts. They had a picture of Live Morgan in
the background. He gives them a stross, yeah, a whole

(29:20):
shrine for her or whatever he did give a shot.
He's like, liv is gonna love this Live Live. So
we're hitting at all sorts of things. Then the girls
went on defended their tag team titles against Kabooki Warriors.
Then we had a fantastic thing where they went back
to the clubhouse after the New Day, which I'm digging
their thing too. I like that they're in morning. I
think it's hilarious. And the judgment days there and he

(29:42):
has a cake that says, you know, get better soon
or blah blah blah, and he's like, who got me
this cake? And we're all thinking, oh, that rocks San Perez,
But no, it was one Aj Styles who was caught
in the corner praying, praying to God on his knees
that dominic mysteria will be better soon. So he wrestling
for the Icy title Dom then proceeds to pray to God, Please, God,

(30:05):
don't let me get better, Please don't let me recover.
Then it comes back to AJ, who said, God, please
don't listen to him. It was freaking hope. I didn't
brutalize that, but it was hilarious. Mid Day is finally,
Judgment Day is finally clicking. They're winning, they're not losing.
They will have these belts, sorry, Aj, and tell Live

(30:25):
is back unless that summer slam. I don't know when
she's gonna people or they're not talking about her injury
a lot either, Ryan, they're not really saying a lot,
so maybe this is it.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
But I'm talking about her lot.

Speaker 1 (30:36):
A lot one hundred percent, So I think it's gonna
be a live dumb leaving. But either way, when she
comes back, it'll be the belts and they'll leave the crew.
But I'm loving it. What say you?

Speaker 2 (30:46):
Yeah? And I think they're they're still hinting at dissension
in the in the Judgment Day, Yeah, you know. Finn
Balor was like, Hey, why don't you go accompany the
ladies to the ring and why don't you do this?
And he's like, I don't really don't wants it. I
got that's weird because you know, finn ballas trying to,
you know, plant the seeds of a potential breakup and

(31:09):
turn on in the future and maybe Live and Dom
leave together because he refuses to break up, he refuses
to cheat on her or something. I don't know, but
i'm I'm, I'm. The Judgment Day looks great with these championships.
They look fantastic. They need to keep them for a
long time. They finally have momentum. Don't stall it with
random losses. Don't have them drop the tag team titles

(31:30):
against I don't even know. Adam Pierce said that the
New Day has to earn their tag team title shot
against who. I don't even know who the hell they're
going to face because there's no tag teams on Raw,
So you know, I don't know who the Judgment Day
is gonna but they should not lose to anybody for
the foreseeable future.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
I fully agree. I fully agree. And I think Raquel
is going to be the one who mainly starts the
turn on lib just so you know, because she's the
least obvious. She's the one who's like rooting for her
all right, and let's end it. I'll let you go.
So what made a return? Let's hear Ryan? Who was it?

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Our tribal Chief. Roman Reigns made his long awaited, much
anticipated return as OTC one or TC one. I don't know, Yeah,
I don't know. What's the tea shirt? Yeah, I couldn't
tell because it was his old Roman Reigns logo, but
with like a swear around it, and then it says

(32:23):
TC one. So Tribal Chief one or original Tribal Chief
is the same thing as saying one.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
I don't know there is chief anymore. He's just a
trible chief again.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Yeah, I don't get that. But but Roman Reigns came
out after the Gauntlet match had concluded, after Jay Husso
was getting annihilated and Bronson Reid was stacking the bodies
of Jay Husso and Ciampunk on to each other to
do a double tsunami. Roman Reigns came out and saved

(32:55):
the day, saved what I thought was a mediocre episode
of Braw The crowd pop loud, probably one of the
loudest pops I've heard from Roman Reigns in his baby
face return. Super pumped to have him back, and I
think this should have maybe happened at Night of Champions.
Maybe this should have happened at Saturday Night's main event.

(33:18):
Maybe this should have happened. You know, if you want
to talk about stealing the weekend when you were doing
all this stuff with WW with AW, imagine if Roman
Naomi Brush this weekend, but they waited until Raw and
I like that. It's probably going to be a tag
team match between Roman and Jay versus Brown Breaker and

(33:41):
Bronson Reid. I'm here for that. That'll be fun, it'll
be entertaining. And they they're trying to flex right now
with the news articles, the dirt sheets, and they're saying
that Roman Reigns is expected to work every episode of
Raw between now and SummerSlam. That's only two weeks. It's
only two more episodes two Mondays, Like, he's expected to

(34:03):
work the next two Mondays and then he'll be on
for Summer Slam. So I'm just happy Roman Rains is back.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
I also thought he was on SmackDown frand Splitz. Should
I just stop talking about brand Splitz? I guess so.
But yeah, with that said, I'm just so glad that
he finally decided to take that pay cut. The dirt
sheets were saying, I'm joking, so, oh my gosh, Roman's back, baby.
It was a big thing, a big deal. He had

(34:30):
to save his goofy ass cousin because Jay can't get
anything right, refuse to shake see him Punk's hand. But
you know he saved him too. It was good stuff.
I like it. We're obviously gonna get subber slam Ray
and Roman and Jay versus Braun and Bronson, which will
be a hell of a match. But I just want
to talk about the fact that we had to stop
sleeping on Roman Rains greatness. This man is there now.

(34:53):
He is at that level that when he shows up,
it's a vibe, the aura is different, the he's just
just him, his presence. He is at that level now
where him in general just is a thing. And it
was beautiful to watch, just how into that crowd was,
the chanting, the you can feel it. It's like what

(35:15):
the Rock used to be. That's where Roman is now though,
when he shows up, more so than brock Lessner, when
he shows up, like you're just in awe. That's who
Roman Reigns is now so and always was in my eyes,
but now he's finally Yeah, you know.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
Yeah, no, even in his days is the tribal chief
and head of the table. Yeah, the aura around him
is completely different. You're right, and yeah I loved what
they did and I'm happy that Roman is back word.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
All right, let's get into some NXT. They had a
jam packed show and we'll start off with Tony D.
He was gonna forget about it match for the rights
of who is the Big Don And it was Tony
D defeating his two slackeys and Stacks and Luca. What
did you think about this? You happy he won? Does
it even freaking matter? I thought it was a hell
of a match. I think Stax has gotten better and better.

(36:05):
Luca impressed me. They showed the whole history building up. Literally,
Tony do look like a baby. They showed him at
the beginning building up to all this. What'd you think
and what's next?

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Yeah? No, that's that's what I want to know, Like
what is next for Tony D? Because this felt like
the end of that rivalry. You know, the Heritage Cup
wasn't on the line, so change Stack is being onto
the Heritage Cup, so he didn't drop that. You know,
it looks like they have a new tag team. I
guess with Stax and the lawyer I think he is.

(36:43):
I can never pronounce his name me either, the guy
that helped him. And yeah, but he's got a great
look too, and I think he's pretty damn good as well.
But yeah, I think it's time for Tony D to
get his flowers. It's time for Tony D to either
move up to the main roster or for Tony D
to go after Oba Femi because Oba Femi's running through

(37:04):
everybody on the NXT roster and the only one that's
really beaten Obafemi is Tony D. So I think it's time,
you know, we we get we get past Slam Niversary,
we get past maybe we have NXC heat Wave, which
is counterprogramming AEW's Forbidden Door. It's my least favorite pay
per view of the year, that Forbidden Door. So why

(37:25):
not put Tony DiAngelo versus Obafemi in the main event
of heat Wave for the NXC Championship. That's what needs
to happen, and let's let's end this summer with Tony
D winning the title.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
I fully agree with you. I think this whole Tony
D mafia thing is done. I think that's the only
thing he has next for him is Oba Femi. He's
undefeated against Oba, he has his number. I think he'll
have his number again. He should beat Oba and let
Oba right off into the sunset and Iron SmackDown, because
that man is ready. And with that said, here's another
reason why Oba Femi. It was announced Briggs went out

(37:57):
to defend gotten. Oba Femi's face was like I fight
with Honor and he was like, I don't give a shit.
Then he like accidentally hit him, but then she can
hit him. And now we're gonna have a three way
next week for the title. And I think they're doing
that because they're gonna close this chapter and there's nothing
left afterwards. So Tony de versus Oba makes sense. But
what do you think about this? We kept talking about
how the Oba and Yoshiki kind of felt like it

(38:18):
was being overshadowed by Josh Briggs and now they just
kind of went into it with it. But I why
is why is he in it? I mean he did lose.
I know people are like, well, it's because he decided
to fight with Honor. Oh okay, but he's still law
and not like Oba cheated to beat him, so you
still lost. Why not just have Oba versus Briggs. I
don't get it. And Oba's not losing his belt on

(38:39):
an NXT so that's not no.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
Not on a random Tuesday, and not to those two guys.
And the best part about it was, Yeah, Josh Briggs,
I don't know, like I don't know, maybe you've you've
seen this or maybe you've you know more about Josh
Briggs than I do. But he said in one of
either in his promo, I think it was he said
that he's been a part of some of the biggest

(39:03):
matches in NXC history, and I was like, wait, what
you have like winning, because it's news to me, and
that he's had he's been a part of some of
the bigger moments in NXC or something along those lines,
and I was like, that's pretty good. Okay, I think
you gotta put yourself over So yeah, I appreciate that.
But yeah, it was just like you have but.

Speaker 1 (39:24):
Yeah, i'd like to.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Yeah, I really think that they need to, you know,
put this whole world title thing with Oprah Fami, keep
keep the belt on him for as long as they
can and see what happens next week when he defends it.
But he's not dropping it on a random Tuesday. But yeah,
it's time for Tony D to get his love and
go after that title that he waived. That's that's the

(39:47):
only option after this unless they do Trick Williams or something.
But it's got to be Tony D. I think Trick
was all fire too. It was a good episode of NXT.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
