WE'RE BACK, just in time for the New Year! To ease back in after a wild couple of months, we got more drunk than we expected and just flowed. Enjoy hanging out with us and hearing some frivolous absurdity, including discussions of Hypnotic Realities by Erickson and Rossi, Evangelion (of course), fanfiction, and more. Also, as an amazing treat, hear some of her most truly Ericksonian hypnosis at the end of this episode as sleepi...
One of the most common questions in hypnosis is: "How do we make triggers or suggestions that are longer-lasting and more persistent?" In this episode, we go through a variety of concepts and techniques to help answer this question. We talk about the role of memory, sensory and emotional conditioning, an NLP concept called future pacing, and more.
This episode was sponsored by Mindless Matters -- a fun erotic hypnosis podcas...
Improvising hypnotic trances is a big level-up skill for many hypnotists -- the idea that we can make any concept suggestive is thrown around a lot in the community, but what are some ways we can think of that constructively?

In this topic suggested by @FrozenAmazon on Twitter, we talk about the nuances of playing in public, the value of secrets, and how waking trance fits into our model. Plus, a wild tangent about sexual arousal?? Where do you fit in on our scale? Also, the podcast has its own Twitter account now -- follow @TwoHypChicks to see cute behind the scenes stuff, suggest topic ideas, and keep up with the latest!
We discuss the idea of emotional sadomasochism -- what is it about being mean, making someone uncomfortable, that is so hot? How does this relate to manipulation? This episode contains demonstrations throughout and calls back to our conversations about being evil or "wrong" in a relationship.

We did a lovely rope scene on the day of recording, and came to a lot of breakthroughs in terms of how kinesthetic elements relate to communication in hypnosis (as well as rope) scenes, ideas about pacing and leading, and our relationship. This was a super fun drunk episode with some good shmoopy stuff and some big thinky stuff too. Enjoy!
The book we are referencing is Georg Barkas's "Archeology of Personalities: A Linguist...
In this topic (suggested by GleefulAbandon), we dive into the idea of mixing different kinds of pain with hypnosis -- how does this work? Can pain be an induction method? What kinds of qualities should we be thinking about when considering different aspects of impact? Also, this was one of our favorite trances in a long time :)

sleepingirl needs a desperate break from smartness so drunkeness and shenanigans ensue: expect discussions of anime, video games, hypnosis in media, and some Overwatch-confessional ASMR.

We sit down for a nice chat reminiscing about the myths about hypnosis that we had to unlearn for ourselves over the time we've been doing all of this -- some of the usual and some stuff that might not be as common (but who knows)! A good mix of subject- and hypnotist-centric stuff! And some fun tips and tricks along the way (and maybe even a drinking game / hypnosis idea :P).

What is "evil" in regards to play? It's such a common theme and desire, but what are a couple ways we can define it for ourselves? In this episode, we brush the surface in a casual conversation of a deep topic -- and sleepingirl turns it up to trance cc at the end.

In this episode, we take a crack at the question, "How should we approach teaching hypnosis to beginners?" It's deceptively complex and we wanted to try something completely different that doesn't rely on existing frameworks. This is an interesting idea for anyone to parse -- beginners, experienced players, and especially educators. (Plus, sleepingirl REALLY enjoyed doing the trance for this episode and we're st...
OK -- we tried doing a heavy, serious topic and we weren't feeling physically or mentally up to it. But we were drunk and wanted to make something, so we turned on the microphone and just talked. We go through some anime stuff, some hypnosis stuff, some stuff about musicals, movies, and a WHOLE LOT of just belligerent bullshitting. This is not a usual episode, and there's only a few nuggets of good hypnosis knowledge, but i...
Building off of sleepingirl's recent article about becoming a skilled subject (see links below), we dig into some experiences and ideas that can help us improve as subjects (and help hypnotists take advantage of and build those skills in their partners). We also get to talk about some concepts from NLP that tie in, such as "chunking" and "reframing!"

It was a very special treat to get to chat with content-creator/YouTuber/influencer/amazing-person extraordinaire TheSecretSubject to talk about one of our most favorite things -- the concept of control. This episode was recorded live for the online erotic hypnosis con EEEHU and includes a fun chat, Q&A, and not one, but TWO trances at the end!

In a very special episode, we recorded this live for the New Jersey Hypnosis Group's Discord, who graciously let us be a part of their online events! It's a super fun episode with a very special shot, some good chatter on flirtation and brattiness as seduction, extended Q&A, and hot trance. Enjoy!
Another year, another con, another Charmed -- but going into sleepingirl's 8th year in the public scene and with a newly released book, this was one of the best events for us, ever. Hear about our classes, our hot scenes, and the amazing folks we met along the way...

sleepingirl wrote a book on brainwashing, just like she always said she wanted. Let's discuss the book, read some excerpts, and answer some questions about it.

There are several concepts that are entangled in a certain corner of hypnosis -- metaphor, allegory, storytelling, framing, and stuff like transderivational searches. Let's talk about some of these and how they relate to play, including an excerpt from sleepingirl's upcoming book!
Listener question: What's your favorite example of metaphor you've used in hypnosis or had used with you? If not hypnosis, how about a fa...
Utilization (a la Milton Erickson) is one of the MOST important concepts in hypnosis as a whole -- it allows us to build dynamic scenes and experiences and connect more powerfully with our partners. Learn about how this applies to hypnosis in general as well as to our play, and get some ideas about how to better incorporate it into yours!

Another year, another Charmed. This year, we spend a little time recapping the con, as usual, but devote most of the episode to doing a thorough breakdown of the discussion group that we led, based on the notes that sleepingirl took during the class (here). We talk about themes of what we heard from different perspectives, our thoughts on some of the ideas that were presented, and some reworking and rewording that we'd like to ...
