(00:05):
Top of the day fans, orperhaps for you it's medium cool at midnight.
Wherever this does find you, wehope it finds you good and well.
I'm that old man of bullshit, greg S Turner along with Ricky count
Nacheta Serretta. Now this week we'regoing to peer into Pandora's box of promos
to find the biggest star in wrestlingin a state of metamorphosis. Here Stonecold

(00:25):
Steve Boston before he was stone Cold, but after he already kicked Stunning Steve
to the wayside ECW ninety five andthe Savior of wrestling was about to arrive.
Then we'll do a full show reviewof a W Dynamite from this past
week, and we find ourselves forcedto admit it was a great show.
Indeed, perhaps we're finally moving inthe right direction. I'll take many more

(00:47):
weeks of this, please. Aswe promised last week, things have reached
a fever pitch in the alternate universe, and now Doctor Show good Brow beats
his new bitches and they put upwith it. Otherwise his bitches might get
stitches in our main event segment ofthis evening, and we are pleased and
honored to have Sam Mitchell of theAutism Rocks and Rolls podcast the night before
he was set to participate in aTed talk. Sam and his mother Gina

(01:11):
joined two rows from ringside to talksof wrestling challenges and rewards, of the
experience of living with autism, andwhat the future looks like from here.
This was a very good talk,fans, and I think you'll get a
lot out of it. So buckleup in your roller coaster ulster because you're
barreling down the tracks to your bigseat at the big show. Two rows
from ringside. Yeah, can youhear this? I I can't hear that,

(01:42):
And that is going on the beginningof this segment. So, therefore,
fans, you have just heard Rickyopening another cold one? And Ricky?
How many? How many? Howmany guys named bud To have crashed
through your door tonight? You know, I'm not a real I'm not a
big fan of mister, but Iam a fan of mister Miller. Oh
I misread your can there? Sorry? How many? How many? How

(02:06):
many Miller boys have come over toraise a ruckus tonight? Not too bad.
I'm working on the trifecta. Butonce we enter the saga. Later
there may be a saga of myown. Well, I can tell you
this fans. Most likely Pandora's boxof promos is opening today's show. However,

(02:28):
you just batten down the hatches forthe squared Circle saga that's about to
come at you because it's the beginningof the third installment and things are getting
really, really real. That isan understatement. So Ricky, I have
picked us a promo here. Thisshould give you the old warm and fuzzies

(02:49):
because this is stone cold. SteveBoston before he was stone cold, but
after he was stunning. So hehad been unceremoniously fired from WCW. He
was out of work with a tornby torn TRICEP and he got a call
from his old friend and manager,Paul Hayman, who said, hey,
what are you doing. And SteveAuston was just like, you know,

(03:12):
fucking nothing. I've got a tornTRICEEP and they just fired my ass.
And he told Steve Auston to cometo the ECW Arena and he'd pay him
five hundred dollars a night, whichmeant five hundred dollars a week for a
couple of weeks for him to justcome in and do promos, and Steve
Boston is like, well, whatdo you want me to say? And
Hayman said, just tell him howyou really feel, because he knew that

(03:34):
Steve Auston was pissed. He knewthe great ship that would come out in
these promos. So we are goingto see what I believe is the first
Steve Auston promo in ECW. Thiswould have been nineteen ninety five. And
do you have any memories of thisone, Ricky? Or is this going
to be kind of like a firsttime reviewing I watched If I did watch

(03:55):
this, I was young And thisis why five it was like when I
saw ECW for the first time.Um, and it was through like Static
TV on channel forty one. Yeah, the yeah, it was at the
sports channel, right yep? Umso I in other words, now you

(04:16):
gott you have a long way ofpronouncing no there, sir? Yeah?
All right? Are you ready tohear this thing? Is about six minutes
of stone cold brilliance? Well, pre stone cold brilliance? Are you ready
to hear this? Puppy? Iam ready? All right? Enjoy fans,
here it comes. If you wantto watch along on YouTube. It's
best promo by stone Cold Steve Austinon YouTube and here we go in a

(04:39):
three A two. You know acouple of weeks ago when Eric Bischoff told
his secretary to tell her secretary toleave a message on my answer machine for
me to call Eric Bischoff, Andthen I called Eric bitsch Off and he
proceeded to fire me over the phone. I thought a big cloud was lifted

(05:04):
off the career of Steve Austin becausegoing with the days where I'd go up
to someone and say, hey, what about me and Steing We got this
big thing going. How about thecage? And someone says, no,
baby, that'th for thumbody else,we just gonna keep you right with Yet
right now, I wonder who hewas talking about? How about me and

(05:27):
a savage man? I got thisgreat ideal. Man he comes in,
he's got the slims him deal orhell I go No, Steve, thatth
for somebody elf, baby close upof the lips. God, I've got
this great idea. I can doit with Hulk Cogan. I'm gonna be
the Steve omaniac and we're gonna takethis thing all the way. Because Hulk
Hogan Harkamania was the biggest thing toever come down the wrestling's pike. And

(05:49):
they're saying, no, that's nothingyou brother, you can't do that.
We're gonna keep you right where youare. I said, how about me
and Brian getting back to the HollywoodBlosse. It was the best tag team
to come along in ten years. And they say, all, Steve,
we need you in a singles rollman, we need you to do this.

(06:09):
We're gonna put the US title onyou, and then we're gonna take
you here and then you're the numberone contender. So then you got this
world title shot. Well, allthat never happened. He's legit this here.
You can tell this is like, shoot, there's nothing going my way
because the politics in WCW kept thebiggest potential superstar in Rutland on the damn

(06:35):
ground. Boy, was that right? What are you supposed to do?
On one hand, they're paying youa bunch of money, they're paying me
a bunch of money. Well,on this hand, they're telling me,
hey, go out there and givebag Well a hell of a match.

(06:58):
Go out there with an eighteen yearold German kid, give him seven good
minutes. Let let people see whathe can do. They say you are
what you eat in WCW. Theydidn't feed me nothing but garbage, so
I let myself become garbage. Ibecame complacent with everything that they said.

(07:18):
As long as the Big Ted keptsending in the checks. Maybe I wouldn't
have you with what was going on, but I became complacent. Then they
send me to Japan. The biginjury, best sharp delivers are shocked hurd
around the damn world job of thehigh paying job. All of a sudden,

(07:44):
the phone starts ringing off the hook. It's ECW, it's WWL,
it's all Japan, it's New Japan. And all Steve Austin's gotta do is
make a decision. Todd Gordon whetherhe mortgage his house one time, two

(08:05):
times, maybe three times, cameup with the right figure for Steve Austin.
That's quite mortgage are the biggest pieceof crap I've ever seen. I
broke in called the Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas, home of the world famous

(08:28):
bond X. Anybody that was anybodystepped foot in the Dallas Sportatorium. For
the last two years, all you'veheard about anywhere in wrestling is the famous
ec W Arena debut night I rollin. You've got the Sandman, You've

(08:56):
got the Rate, you got thepit bulls, you got Stevie Richards,
you got the public enemy, yougot the gangsters. You got might be
wick Ret whatever the hell his name, is, running around thinking that they
can actually wrestle. All I've seenin ECWS a bunch of violent crap.

(09:20):
And that's exactly what I'll call it, because that's what it is. Steve
Allston is here to wrestle. It'swhat I do best. It's what I
do better than anybody in the world. Giving these intense, quizzical looks.

(09:45):
Eddie Guerrerow, they got the bigsend off. Tears were in everybody's eyes.
It was a big deal. AllSteve Auston got was a good swift
kick in the ass. That's bestjob, hung up the phone and left
me high and dry. There's noHogans here, there's no Flares here,

(10:11):
There's not a Dusty Rhodes, andthey're damn sure isn't an Eric Bischof here.
There's no one that can hold backSteve Auston, now stunning tossed it
out the window. Never wasn't meantto be. Ec W is gonna find
out firsthand what Steve Auston can do, and I'm gonna show everybody here exactly

(10:41):
what a true superstar is supposed todo, what a true superstar is supposed
to be, because no one herecan hold me back, not Todd Gordon,
not Hogan, not Eric bischof comedylike that. I know that's TCW

(11:09):
crazy editing that I always knew thatI could be, because there's no one,
no one ANYCW that can stop great. Where goes thee? And sorry
about that, fans, Ricky,I'm gonna stop sharing my screen here and

(11:33):
then we can get back to business. All right, And there you are,
buddy, so uh, very goodstuff from Steve Auston. They're back
in nineteen ninety five. Like yousaid, that sounded like a complete shoot,
that was cutting edge for ninety five. What do you think I thought
it was awesome. I mean,he just reburned WCW completely for six and
a half minutes. I thought itwas funny that he said that Todd Gordon

(11:56):
had to mortgage his house three timesto come up with the right figure here
when you know that he was makingfive hundred a night. But I don't
blame Austin for saying that. Obviouslyhe had to. You don't want to
make it look like you've just workedfor this shit promotion. The camp pay
you. But I mean, ifyou see Steve Auston in this video,
he looks like he just looks different. He was never meant to be stunning

(12:20):
Steve Auston, as he said, and never really fit. This was sort
of him shedding away Steve Boston. He like the blonde hair was about to
go. He still had the longblonde hair here, but he was about
to shave that off and get theget the Bruce Willis hair cut before he
went totally bald, you know. And you know it was you could tell

(12:41):
when he entered into Stonehold zone whatyou saw here, which you saw a
Stonehold that was the real guy.And you could tell it was the real
guy. He was always sort ofhalf assing it at least character wise,
as Steve Boston never have asked, you know, half assed it in the
ring. But you could tell. This almost was like a metamorphosis, wasn't
it. Yeah? And again Ijust I really like sometimes I feel like

(13:03):
that, like when the wrestlers areshooting on another promotion they'll do. They'll
say like like innuendos or hint atit, but this was like blatant,
Yeah, I am going to shiton my former employer and get everything off
my chest for six minutes straight. And the Dusty thing was, oh my

(13:24):
god. Yeah, he was alittle pissed at the dream there it sounded
like, I mean, Dusty wasbooking then, right, that's he was
well, And Dusty did promise SteveAuston. He says, we're gonna go
all the way with you, baby, and he said we're gonna put the
US title on. Yet that partwas true, but then he said he
was gonna basically work Stone Call orwork Steve Auston rather into the top of
the cards and have him eventually replacedRick Flair. Well, of course all

(13:46):
that changed because that promise was madefree Hogan, and then Hogan came in
and they were paying him, youknow, fucking Fort Knox each time out
to show up and all these guys, you're Austin's, your pillman's, all
these guys ben while we're immediately shovedtoo, like three levels down to make

(14:07):
room for Hulk Hogan, and thenSteve Austin had nowhere to go, So
I don't think he was legit necessarilytwo pissed at Dusty Rhodes, even though
he was basically saying, Okay, what about all the shit you promised me,
Dusty, And he got a bunchof shitty answers back, like sorry,
that's not for you. Uh yeah, you know. And I just
like, I like the ECW's productionor lack thereof. Uh, it just

(14:31):
made the promo where I should say, their promos it was so much.
It was so gritty, you know, it was the black and white.
I I like that. You can'thelp but love it. Yeah, you
know, speaking of uh, youknow, mcfoleie had some great promos and
EASW two. Yeah, we playedone a couple of weeks back. Him
very funk, and he had manyothers. Yes, but I can remember

(14:54):
that being very young and watching thepromos and I'm like, oh my god,
Like I mean, let's face it, and you're comparing that with ninety
five ww Yeah, the promos weregood. They were like cartoons, you
know, And now I'm watching thispromo. Might that must have felt like
you watched watched cartoons all night andthen somebody left HBO on by accident.
Now, Okay, I was seven, So I remember watching again, very

(15:18):
vaguely, watching ECW and some ofthese promos, and I don't want to
say like I was afraid. Thatwasn't the right word, but if reality
right, Yeah, like what Iwasn't watching regular wrestling, and this was
very deep. This was definitely different. ECW was like unlike anything else on
TV at the time. Even asa teenager at the time, I was

(15:39):
about I think I've got about eightyears on you, uh, eight or
nine, so I would have beenwhat you if you were seven, I
would have been like sixteen seventeen.Even for me, it was like,
holy shit, what am I watching? Like wrestling? When I uh I
ordered ECW Barely Leave Legal back inninety seven. Yeah, I remember watching

(16:00):
it and my parents you know, went upstairs to bed and I was watching
in the living room. And thatfinal match, it was a three way
dance. It was Terry funk Raven, I think the Sandman. I remember
you telling me you were afraid theold man might die. Oh my god.
I was like watching this and Iwas like, oh my god,
am I gonna have to turn thisoff? Like is this guy actually gonna
die? It was the first thing. It was the first time for me

(16:22):
that I felt like I was watchingR rated wrestling. And again I'm used
to like these big, these bigarenas with all these lights in this grand
spectacle, and here there's what, you know, a couple hundred people smoking
cigarettes in the stands, you know, f bombs going off, and I'm
like, what the fuck am Iwatch it? I just love that you
were watching it at seven. Ican't imagine seeing that at seven. Yeah,

(16:45):
I mean I was like I wasRoddy Piper in the eighties at seven.
Not not, I don't think Iwas. It was definitely unsettling,
but I kept watching it, butI was like, whoa, this is
different from WWF. This is differentfrom you know, Macho Man and Lex
Luger, right, you know, something is different here. Yeah. So

(17:08):
yeah, it was quite a quitea treasure, a precious treasure out of
Pandora's box of promos. There,uh, the the emergence of a legend.
He even said on there you firedthe biggest potential star in the industry,
And truer words were never spoken.I mean, he became the biggest
star in the history of the industry. When you let your talent do their

(17:32):
own promos. Well, the onlyguy I think doing that right now,
The only guys doing that right nowin wwe might be Daniel Bryan and uh
Roman Reigns uh and Paul Hayman. So uh, nobody else is doing it.
And look who is like the bestguys out there? Is the best
guy they've got by far. Andit's because he's being himself out there now.

(17:53):
Piled up of course, but he'sbeing himself. Uh. And when
he was being the nice smiling guy, that's not that wasn't him, Yeah
it was. Yeah, it's Ijust think it's something in general that they
have to they have to work onbecause it's just it sucks. Even in
an XT it's it sucks just thestaged stage promos and it all sounds the

(18:15):
same. It. Well, that'sbecause it's written by the same team of
writers. Yeah, I mean, you have the same people writing the same
shit over and over again. Eventually, every character, everything is going to
sound like itself. It's gonna repeatover and over again and sound like each
other, you know, because thesame people are writing it. Actually,
Ricky, we might have plenty oftime to rant on that because our next

(18:37):
segment is going to be a thisweek the News and Professional Wrestling segment,
so we'll probably have plenty to railon. So did you have anything else
on? Uh? Steve Auston's ECWwork here, awesome, awesome promo and
I just love the fact that hejust like burned a bridge. I like
that he threatened Mikey Wick Rep WickRep. I buy in the world.

(19:00):
Yeah, who actually invented the stunnard? Didn't he? Or was? But
like of all people like, yeah, you know what, I'm gonna use
it for Steve Boston. I thinkhe did. I'm gonna go after Mikey
Whipbrick, the the former camera guywho just gets his ass beat. All
right, Well, that it wasa nice trip down ECW memory lane.

(19:21):
So we'll be back fans with ournext sevening this week The News and Professional
Wrestling. All right, Well,we have, of course Ricky and I.
Do you have a Do you havea little I'm sensing that you got
company over there? Or am Iimagining things? I do? I have
this? Uh, this little humansitting on my lap who decided she wanted

(19:45):
to watch the h the podcast here. She's she's behaving for the time being,
she's uh, I think pretty amazedby seeing my face on the screen,
her face and you communicating with her. I mean, this is pretty
cool, isn't it? Is thispretty? You've been shy? Well?
I am very happy to have SpencerSeretta on the phone here with us to

(20:10):
record this segment, as well asher her her old dad Richard. Um.
We agree that she as long asshe's quiet, she can sit and
watch. But she might be leave. Are you leaving, honey? No,
thank you? Or you want toleave? Okay? So you stay
right here, Spencer. We're gladto have you. So, Ricky,

(20:33):
what did you watch this week? You were talking to me a little bit
before we started here. We couldthere's not a whole lot of actual news
news, um, but we havea couple of things to talk about,
but I really wanted to talk mostlyabout AW. What wrestling did you watch?
Though I watched a good portion ofthe of the AW show, UM,
I would say probably seventy five percentof it. Is that the only

(20:57):
stuff you watched this week? Youdidn't watch any of the old w and
I watched some of NXT. ButI don't know, I'm just kind of
I don't want say I'm getting theships of nxt UM, but I'm just
getting bored with it. I thinkI'm getting bored with just the both products
in general. I think a lotof it has to do with the NO
fans, which it's not their fault, but well, what was like the

(21:21):
same thing every week? You knowwhat was on what was on NXT I
didn't even see it. I pulledit up and it was like Dexter Loomis
and Joey and h Gargano as inmister same face. Yeah, And I
don't know, it just didn't reallydo it for me, but AW was

(21:41):
pretty good. I thought a Wthis week was absolutely great, and I
don't often say that, but Iwas watching through last night and just just
to go through a few highlights, and you and Ricky, why don't you
kind of tell me what your generalthoughts are as we go through each segment.
You mentioned Eddie Kingston and Pac Thatwas the opener, I believe,

(22:03):
before you get into anything on Parkor Kingston. Did you see the move
that he beat Kingston with? Yeah, that's submission. Hold well he did
that after the bell, but hedid this flying spinning like back. Oh
yeah, that's finisher. I forgetwhat that's called. Oh my god,
it's really remarkable. It's super cool. It might be one of the best

(22:25):
moves I've ever seen. I alwayslike Park and it took me a while
for watching a W was like,I feel this is missing something. And
then when Pak came back and mybit's right, I totally forgot about this
guy. He was he was doingreally good for them for for a while.
He was he he goes by thename the Bastard uh and and I
like it. He's just a miserable, vicious like well, you know,

(22:47):
like a like a like a drunkEnglishman that would beat the crap out of
you in a bar. Uh.You know, that's kind of what I
get from him. And then yougot Eddie Kingston in there, who's a
heck of a promo, but hegot his ass handed to him during this
one and this match because it wasa basic one on one I feel like,
and I don't want to critique ittoo much because I haven't been watching
too much of it, but Ireally can't get into like these massive tag

(23:11):
teams, and I feel like AWhas been doing that a lot, where
it's like six on six. It'stoo much for me to process. I
can't emotionally get attached to anyone. It's there's no psychology in it. So
for them to just have a goodwrestler versus a good wrestler was nice to
see. Yeah, I'm with you. They have way too many multi man

(23:33):
matches in AW. You know, keep it a little simple, old school
angle. Here, Miro, theformer russef who actually did look very bad
ass during this match, took onChuck Taylor of the best Friends, and
old Chuck came out on the losingend of this little exchange, which means

(23:55):
this is the old school part.He becomes Mirro's man serve and for the
next month. Now, if youwere Russo's man servant, I would be
a little Mirro's man servant. I'dbe a little scared about what happens when
he comes home a little intoxicated atand decides you look close enough to Lana

(24:15):
that you might want to try afew things out. Yeah, I agree.
But that wasn't that band of amatch either. It was it was
basic. Sometimes I feel like aw'strying too hard when they just need to
keep it simple. You know, what do you think of the inner circle?
Ricky? Right, now as theystand, well, now I know

(24:38):
which is mjf is in it.He's in it, and so is his
bodyguard Wardlow. I don't know.I feel like it's getting like too big
and I send it before. WhatI don't like about a EW is I
feel like everyone's in a faction oreveryone's in a group, and after a
while it's annoying. Do you feelthat way too, It's just like everyone

(25:02):
is a part of some group orfaction. There is a ridiculous amount of
factions in AW. I can definitelyagree with that. As it relates to
the Inner Circle, I think thatI really like what they're doing right now.
And here's why. They're not theHorseman. Okay, they're not Evolution,
They're not you know, the nWo. They are a group. They
are a faction, and they've gotshades of that top heel group thing.

(25:26):
But they actually have done very interestingthings with the Inner Circle. It hasn't
been Okay, Jericho's the world championand these are his cronies, and this
is going to be the next twoyears of television. It's you know,
Jericho is letting himself go all overthe card, tag teams, mid card.
He's really trying to put guys over. And you can agree or disagree
with what he's agreed to do,and some of it's dumb. But Chris

(25:48):
Jericho is immensely talented. He canmake just about anything work. And he's
got this group now and MJF,my god, the charisma and that guy
every time he talks, anytime hedoes anything, it's it is remarkable.
It's it's outstanding and a great mJF. Like I said, it is
the best and probably like only realhero and wrestling. Um, I don't

(26:11):
know, like it's good. Ididn't watch two too much of it.
I haven't been so my criticism maynot be fair. Well here, here's
here's what. Here's what. IThe reason I brought that up is because
they're not like the Horsemen. They'renot they're not playing any previously done sort
of dynamics with this. You've gotan inner rivalry angle between MJF and Jericho,
and they're on the friends end ofit right now, but it's going

(26:33):
to deteriorate. Then you've got Wardlowand Hagar, who are sort of like
frenemies. You've got um Lax,who you know, uh well, they
wrestled lastic right Wardlow and they hadlike some beef or something. Right,
Yeah, well they they they itwas to get their their aggressions out.
They were supposed to have a battlewhere they could get their aggressions out and
Wardlow beat uh Jake hagar Um.So now Jake Hager respects him. So

(26:57):
they're getting along for now. Santanaand Ortiz, I gotta say this,
I think Santana is a good promo. I really think Ortize probably either of
them. I don't know what itis. I think Ortiz could be funny,
but I don't like his comedic promos. Was supposed to be this street
wise, badass guy and you've gotyou've got him cracking jokes out there.

(27:21):
It's really it just doesn't fit.And I just feel like they don't fit
like you have all of the otherguys are kind of like this pompous and
and like Guavara is the real youknow, pompous and pretty boy, and
then you have kind of I guessthat he's supposed to be these hardened street
guys. I don't know, itjust doesn't it doesn't fit into the mold.

(27:42):
I guess that makes sense. Istill think I still think they could
be stars. I mean, basedon that street fight with the Best Friends
alone, I thought that was crazygreat, um, but you know,
they got to be more serious,They got to be more badass. There's
too much comedy with those guys thatif they keep it up, they're not
going to get over. The onlyway that team gets over one hundred percent,

(28:02):
like real main of Entners is ifthey go all the way badass like
they were as the Dead Presidents, like cut out all the comedy, become
badasses. But that's the thing aboutthe Inner Circle. So you got all
these interrivalries. So now that thoseguys are like, hey, we're the
best tag team in aw then Jerichois like, no, me and m
jaff are gonna win it. ThenSammy's like, hey, you're a tag
team slut Jericho because you you'll teamwith anybody. But you see what I

(28:25):
mean, Like they're a top heelgroup that they're doing enough interesting shit within
themselves. They're not dominating every singlemajor storyline, and I kind of like
that as a refreshing change from thenWo DX dominant faction thing. Yeah,
and I like yeah, and Ilike some of the goofy stuff and sometimes
it's like, uh, like,I just feel like some of it is

(28:47):
just so stupid and yeah, soI like, I would say I like
a lot of the guys in theAir Circle, but sometimes I don't like
it all together fair enough. Uh, you had after that Kenny Omega and
the Good Brothers. That's h Andersonand Gallows versus Griff Garrison, Brian Pillman

(29:07):
Junior and Danny Danny and Limelight.Um so I couldn't get invested in that.
I was. I mean, Iwatched it, but I was kind
of scrolling on my phone too.Um, I could not get invested in
that one. And I wanted tobecause I like Kenny Omega, but I
just I like him too, Ricky, And I'm sorry I kept cutting in
there. Uh I love him too, and honestly, Uh, this is

(29:30):
one guy. Jim Cornette cast hislot a long time ago because of the
blow up doll match in the nineyear Old Girl Match, which was fucking
stupid and Omega ought to be ashamedof it, but that doesn't change the
fact that he is unbelievable in thering. He the crispness in which this
guy executes every move that v triggerlooks like it's killing guys. Uh that

(29:56):
the one winged Angel is an amazingmove. Uh, just that would when
he thought who was it Penta Umlast last show when Penta came off with
that that fucking like somersault move anduh, Omega catches him in like an
under like an upside down chicken wingand held him perfect. I mean,
this guy is graceful. He isabsolutely amazing, and I do think he

(30:21):
has great psychology, so I it'sjust it's too superspeed for me. That's
the one part I don't like aboutit. It's it's way too superspeed with
not enough transitions. But aside fromthat, I think Cornette is out too
lunch on this guy. Yeah,I agree. I think sometimes it's credit
because I mean, he's been insome great, great matches. I watched

(30:41):
some of this stuff in Japan.Um it was a little bit long for
my taste, but I mean,oh my god, talk about entertaining Um
and him and Adam Page when theywrestled the uh the Young Bucks. I
think it was last year. Ithink it was a revolution. Yeah,
that was an and one of myfavorite tag team matches ever. And I

(31:03):
also uh, I also actually reallyenjoyed the match in which he won the
title. Uh, which when hehad the Don Callis turn and the you
know impact merger and all this crazystuff. And I think Omega's great.
Yeah that was that wasn't too longago because I watched that. That was
that special show that they had.Yeah, yeah, and I and I
have to say, I don't thinkI think that. Um uh, Omega.

(31:29):
There's one thing he needs to change. He needs to stop to win
promos. Uh. He had DonCallis do the talking, you do it
in the ring. He's not agood promo. He's a goofy promo once
in a while. He's very entertaining, and he's so weird that he can
come across as like weird heel butuh, I don't think it's like world
champion level promo at like at all. So I think he really should cut

(31:49):
down on the talking. Have amouthpiece like Callous do it for him.
Yeah, I can I can seethat, but I agree with you.
He is he's really really amazing towatch. He is very very good in
the ring. Now, next camemy favorite segment on the whole show,
Ricky. It was all hell breaksloose on the waiting room, which is

(32:10):
Britt Baker. It's a version ofPiper's Pit where it's her dentist office waiting
room and they're doing an interview segment. So they were supposed to have Cody
be the guest. Cody comes outand they won't let him even talk.
They keep pulling the micro away fromhim, that keep taunting him, and
then Britt Baker says, actually,I brought two guests in. I have

(32:30):
two guests on the show, andthis chick Shacks. I guess this is
like Shack's wife or girlfriend or something. Jade Cargill comes in. Uh my
god, what a body on thiswoman. It's I mean, it's it's
it's it's remarkable. Let's say,uh it's it's rather incredible. And she

(32:52):
comes in and does a promo andthat was like the really built jack black
woman, right, yes, yeah, okay, and you have She came
in and starts talking shit on Brandywho's pregnant, uh with like in real
life, and then she bitches thatshe bitch, bitch, slaps Cody knocks
him down, and then some otherchick comes in. Yeah, and they

(33:14):
had this big old brawl. Iturned into like an insane scene. And
then you got Britt Baker flying allover the place. She's so great.
I think she's a superstar waiting tohappen. Uh, she's fantastic as an
obnoxious heel, villainous chick um andand and and uh, what's her sidekick,
Reba Rebbie whatever her name is.She's She's like a great toady flunkey

(33:38):
heel. And then uh, theythey broke in with the thunder Rosa promo.
Thunder Rosa basically not so many words, says I'm gonna beat your ass
at this beach Blast pay per viewor show whatever. I guess it.
Guess it'll be a dynamite uh.And it was just uh, it was
crazy, man. It was likeit really was like an old Piper's pit.

(33:59):
And brit Baker, while she's notRoddy Piper by any stretch, it's
really good in her role. Yeah, I watched it. You know,
as as everyone knows, I'm easinginto women's wrestling. However, I feel
like NXT they are women wrestling isthe best and I would say arguably could

(34:22):
be the best part of the show. Aw I'm not gonna mine any usually
any women's thing. I'm skipping rightthrough. But if you think it's gotten
better, maybe I'll give it atry. Well, if it involves thunder
Rosa or Sheeta or Serena Deep,I would say give it a watch.
Serena Deep beat a girl named TayaConti on this show, and while it

(34:43):
seemed like it was quite a goodmatch, and Serena Deep is pretty darn
good, this Taya Conti was wearingan outfit that was like almost a half
thong. So I would say,you might want to go back and watch
that clip, sir, if youwant to get a little clips. But
before that you had FTR is theJurassic Express Ricky Marco Stunt. I hate

(35:04):
to say it, but he looksfucking what happened to? I knows jungle
Boy, but what happened to?Uh? What's his face? The dinosaur?
He was there, he carried outJungle Boy on his shoulders wrestling.
I think I think he might behurt because he did not wrestling with Stunt.
And I've been thinking of the name. Yeah, yeah, what did
I say? I don't know whatI said? Uh, I drew a

(35:27):
blank too, so so yes,Lucasaurus did not wrestle. Unfortunately, because
that left his dinosaur droppings in theform of Marco Stunt. I think dinosaur
droppings might be taller than Marco Stunt. Uh to team with Jungle Boy and
I mean, what would you say, laughable, Ricky cry? I really
really like uh Lucasaurs and I likeJungle Boy Marcos Stunt. I mean,

(35:51):
I guess for a prop every oncein a while is okay, but I
mean, you have Marcos Stunt competingagainst it's not even or to be the
best tag team in the business andquite some time. Come on, I
mean, how did I mean?I go, Well, FTR collects the
paycheck, but it's just crazy tome. FTR is, FTR is fantastic

(36:14):
and they and they did what theycould in this match to get through it.
And they didn't sell for Marco Stunthardly at all. He had to
do a lot to him to getany cell. But look, there's a
reason Chris vonn Eric did not workat the in the dying days of World
Class. There is such a thingas being too damned small. And unless
you are a once in a millionathlete like a Ray mysteriou look, Marco

(36:36):
Stunt might be a talented kid butthe thing is, he's too small to
be a wrestler, any wrestler. If they developed like a super cruiserweight division,
sure, but or if he justjoins the little person division or whatever
they're gonna call that, uh youknow. But the thing is, have
him be the Jurassic Express is flunkey, he's he's a great little heel.

(36:58):
He could be a great little heelif if they programmed in that way,
because he's weasily, he's he's wiry, he's quick, he does little flips.
You could beat the shit out ofthis guy if he was a big
mouth heel manager or even if hecouldn't talk, just being one of the
flunky you know type. Yeah, like the ultimate little toady. He could
be great and he could be doingall kinds of crazy bums when they finally

(37:20):
get their hands on him. Therewas a place for the guy. It's
just not in the ring. Comeon, yeah, And I mean yeah
against FTR, Like yeah, it'sa joke. And I mentioned, like
I said before, I like FTRa lot, And that was part of
the reason why I tuned to theshow because I saw they were wrestling Jurassic
Express. Now I presumed that itwas gonna be Lucasaurus and Jungle Boy.

(37:43):
I was mistaken. Um, butit's like, well, we don't get
to see FTR wrestle that much,so it's a real treat for us when
we see them being promoted that they'recoming on next week's show and it's like,
oh, it's not a real wrestlingmagical and they're wrestling Mark Stunt.
Yeah. Yeah, Well luckily,Um, we we got the women next,

(38:06):
and you got the south side ofTea Conti's Darier, which is a
plusant enough sighte uh Now the mainevent, Ricky, did you see Darby
Allen versus Brian Cage for the title? All right, I want your take
on this and I'll give you mine. Um, there were some really crazy
bumps, I tell you, DarbyAllen. I mean, I don't know

(38:27):
how long his career is gonna be, about about two months if he keeps
up at this. Right when BrianCage just literally I don't even say power,
would just throw him right onto theunder the walk away out of the
ramp. He's done that bump nowa few times, and that could be
like, at any moment, thatcould be the last bump that you take.
I think, yeah, yeah, well look at the Look at the

(38:50):
bump Cage took on the steps. That was that was for a guy that
big. I saw Damien Priest takethat bump, and I thought, holy
oh yeah, Damian Priest, wouldI remember that was? That was even
that was even worse. That wastough to look at. Um. I
liked it. I like both ofthem. I like Brian Cage because he's
just like that old school jack yokedup, you know, heavyweight. I

(39:14):
was really impressed with Cage in thismatch. I thought he thought he for
the first time, you look likea good wrestler. A lot of Aw's
talent is not the most uh,I guess physical specimens. So to see
like that old school eighties early ninetieswrestler, it's it's it's pretty cool to
see um. But sometimes, eventhough as much as I love Darby Allen,

(39:37):
it was weird seeing such the differencein in the in the size.
But you know what, it's sofunny because Darby can make it believable.
He does, and I'll give himhe definitely he does, and it's like
he takes Yeah, that's what itis, that's what is I think.
He went on the head. Hetakes the ass beating like really really well,

(39:59):
and then he hits and runs.He hits a big move in the
runs, hits another big move inthe runs. Like he wrestles believably,
like the smaller guy that could actuallybeat the bigger guy. Uh. And
he's got charisma off the charts.I mean, that's one thing. I
don't know if the guy's a goofor if he's uh, you know,
just a very strategic sort of guydoing some performance here as as this character.

(40:21):
But either way, he's got charismaoff the charts. I think if
if his body holds out, he'llbe a big star. And man,
I love that TNT belt, Ireally do. If you have the belt
is cool. It looks nice.I like the new version black strap,
Yeah, looks really sleek. Itwas. It was a good match and
I like both of those wrestlers alot. I think that was probably the
most entertaining part. Oh it was. It was a very good main event.

(40:45):
I really liked it. And theending came when uh, Team Task
starts cheating. Uh and they're andthey're gonna try to you know, Ricky
Starks starts getting involved. Ricky Starksagain another future, just like hobbling out
there, hobbling out in like mygrandma's pajamas. It looked like, what

(41:07):
the fuck was that? I buthe was it was it was painful?
Was that snake skin pajamas? I'mgonna come out and d jim a lesson
and Jakin barely do no, Isaid, Jacobs still cut a great promo,
but his voice is just like this, this permanent whispery husk. You
could barely talk anymore. Um.But anyway, when when Ricky Starks,

(41:31):
who definitely is a future what whata what a what a amazing talent?
You could just tell he's gonna bebig. Uh he starts getting u interfering
and then the lights go out.Of course Sting shows up. Why is
about to cut you off? Butlike, why is everyone in a faction?
Because now isn't it like Brian CageRicky Starks, Kazuh, that's a

(41:53):
faction, you know. I thinkDarby Allen and like Cody are the only
ones that are like not correct meif I'm role I'm like affiliated with another
group. Yeah, well who's bookingaw right now? Is Tony Khan?
And Tony Khan clearly loves factions.Even though I will you agree with you,
they're way overdoing it. Uh,it's it's too much. But I

(42:15):
do like team task for what it'sworth. I think Taz is doing the
best promo work of his life.Uh, well, at least since ecw
Um. And honestly, when Stingcame out and just knocked the ship out
of Ricky Starks with the bat um, Ricky Ricky Starks took a great bump
uh, and then he evened upthe odds so Darby Allen could hit the

(42:36):
hit this really cool looking Uh.I don't even know what exactly it was
called, but it was a itwas a move over the top, and
Brian Cage took the bump perfectly.I can't I'm I'm not doing it justice
now because I can't remember exactly whatthe move was. Some kind of like
a CRUCIFFI well, yeah, that'swhat it was, a crucifix off the
top and it looked like a milliondollars. Both of them timed it perfectly,

(43:00):
and it believably Darby Allen beat BrianCage, So I enjoyed it.
It was a very very good mainevent. I liked seeing Sting. I
don't know really what their long termplans are going to be for him.
I'm kind of curious to see wherethat goes. I just liked that presence
there, and he can get involved, and he has said himself he'll he's
willing to do cinematic matches. Sothat's a great use of Sting at this

(43:21):
age. I agree. I tellyou what, he still looks pretty damn
good for he does stage like helooks like Sting, Yeah he does.
He just looks like a more mature, dignified Sting who has learned learned the
air of his ways. So umricky. Unfortunately, we have deceived the
fans calling this this week the newsand professional wrestling because we have no other
news besides the one thing we watchedthis week, which was a w But

(43:45):
I would say this was the bestaw show in hole in its totality that
I think I've seen as far asDynamite episodes go. It was. It
was a good show for what Isaw. It was entertaining. Maybe I
just didn't have you know, Ican't. I watched most of the show
and then I turned on an XT. Maybe I was just kind of wrestling

(44:06):
wrestled out for the moment, itfelt like the whole night was a boar
rather than just the nxt XT andI just see the dark arena and they
need to do something with that, they need to brighten it up. Yeah,
it's weird. Maybe I'm just beinguh, maybe I'm just picking on
it, but the whole like darkset up. After a while, it's

(44:30):
just like, uh, that's gonnaput me to sleep. Well, um,
you know, I heard I heardVaulters still knocking the shit out of
guys across the pond. Maybe wegotta review another Vaulter match here before too
long on two rows from ringside. But until then, Richard, we are
going to come back here with avisit to the alternate universe. I hope

(44:54):
you're all ready for it, Andthen don't forget in our main event segment,
we have a very dynamic young manwho is we're very proud to have
on the show today and talk toand get his very interesting and inspirational story,
mister Sam Mitchell coming up in themain event. So, Ricky,
are you ready to go to thatalternate, alternate rather dimension and see the

(45:15):
chicanery and the goings on with ohdoctor Shilgood. I am ready to go,
mister Stirner, Let's do it.Fans, prepare to have your senses

(45:35):
desensitized and your emotions inflamed. Weare now peering down our own private wormhole
into the alternate universe version of ourvery own show. Two guys who look
like us and talk like us,and have a podcast just like ours are

(45:55):
involved in a sprawling, sick, spooky, stunning, stupefying Squared Circle saga.
We started with the violent and eventuallydeadly rivalry between two bitter enemies,

(46:16):
doctor Gerald Terence Shillgod and Rocco Rizzo. We then saw an attempted reformation of
a man and a search for redemptionas the battle for shill good soul teetered
between the love and acceptance of hisfavorite nephews and the temptation littered tavern of

(46:38):
treachery personified by the psycho stalker rapistDino Royale. But now all of these
crazy happenings have brought us to ourcurrent installment of the Squared Circle saga.
Let's see what the alternate universe hasto share. Welcome to Rose from Ringside

(47:01):
fans. I vent you didn't expectto hear this voice coming through the audioscope
today. But you better just getused to new things and a new way
of life around here. But theshock to your systems that you're all feeling
out there right now, I canassure you sign sealed delivered truth is not
even a fraction of the shock feltby these two spineless, stickless, soulless

(47:27):
foot twins. My former would benephews of yesterday, but now my helpless
and whipped little pitches of today, mister Rickey and mister Greg. So let's
start off by hearing how it feelsto be you, sorry couple of win
whackers at this very moment. Butyou know, Gerald, I don't know
exactly what you hope to gain byholding a figurative gun to our heads and

(47:52):
making us participate with Oh, youmust have thought I intended to have you
go first, Jimbo, But Iknow it was you. I know it
was you indeed who told Ricky aboutmy little spill off the wagon, which
led to his rejection of me,and well the shit storm that you boys
now find yourselves in the middle of. But I don't really give a go

(48:15):
tide what you've got to say rightnow. I want to hear it from
the rook himself. I want tohear it from Ricky. How old lady,
little Ricky, did mommy give youa warm drink of milk? Did
you enjoy some sleepy suckle time inyour little racecar bed? And now you're
ready to tell the good doctor exactlyhow it feels to be owned, how

(48:37):
exactly it feels to be told whatyou're gonna do and who you're gonna work
for? Tell me I simply can'twait another second. Gerald. I look,
I'm sorry if you felt like,oh we talking a little back pedal
to the metal, are we talkinga little? Sorry? Daddy? I
don't my pants again? Either way, Rookie, it stinks, okay,

(48:59):
it stinks of it. Desperate littleworm trying to gain control of the wild
bucking bronco he finds his flaming assstrap tool. Now I told you to
tell me how it feels. Itfeels awful, Gerald, you and your
gang of thugs. You've hijacked whatwas once a fun loving podcast and a

(49:19):
button promotional business, and you've turnedit into your own little, I guess,
private playground. There. I saidit. You've hijacked us. You've
got us by the dick Okay, you own a piece of this now,
and we've got the playball or elseor our safety I guess now can be
threatened, just like you've threatened somany others. You want to know how
it feels. It sucks, Gerald, but that isn't going to stop me

(49:42):
or greg from telling you to yourface, what a despicable piece of shit
human being you are, your paladinoand your criminal friends. We're forced to
work with you, but we're notforced to respect you. And we don't
mark my words about that. Ohyeah, as your words, your little
words, I'll tell you this, boys, you best keep your words soft

(50:06):
and sweet, because you're going tobe eating them and often. Okay,
donkey, Now that the pleasantries areover with, why don't you tell you're
adoring audience what we're cooking up froma business perspective? So many exciting things,
and where to start? I gotyou over there, I forgot about
you, Jim Gregor. You're abig You're a big mouth, blowhard,

(50:30):
old loose liver lips himself. Whydon't you tell your fans what we got
coming down the old pike. I'msure that they'll be very excited to hear
it. Fans, I don't knowexactly where to begin. I guess I
should just tell you the truth thatbecause I don't know of any other way
that I could spin this or sellthis to make it any easier to digest

(50:52):
the truth of the situation. Itdistings, But Richard and I we have
committed to bring you the best inwrestling entertainment, and we are not going
to quit just because the man youheard from just now has put the strong
arm on us. And well,I guess I should begin with, ah,

(51:15):
oh, what day is it?Truly a few weeks are gone by,
and the time it took you toget that far in your explanation without
actually saying anything. Spit it out, greg O. Don't be greedy with
the goods the same way you're greedierthan a rabbit dog with a bone every
time you fight yourself with the cockdown your throat. Come on, spit
that dick out before I knock itright off from between your choppers. Tell

(51:38):
the fans how we have found ourselveshere. Wow, you're really not going
to make this any easier, areyou. Okay, fans, I'm gonna
tell you here's how it started. After Ricky told Gerald that we were done
working with him and that our relationshipwas effectively over. We well, stupidly,

(52:02):
we thought everything was going to goback to normal and Gerald would stop
trying to rest all of his hopesof sobriety on whether or not Ricky rewarded
him with his love and admiration. We thought we would, you know,
he'd receive his tough love from usand continue on without us on hopefully what
was a personal journey towards sobriety.Well, as you can clearly see or

(52:24):
hear, that did not happen.Okay, good boy, woof, woof,
here's your treat give me Paul.Okay, now, Ricky think it
from here, dear old little nephewof mine. As Greg mentioned Gerald,
we thought we heard the last timefrom you. We thought we were done,

(52:46):
okay, But instead we found outfinally why our important sponsor, white
Horse Media Group, had been puttingup with Gerald all this time and literally
forcing our hands and making us featurehim on the show. They're being very
strong armed the whole time by thesecriminal elements, perhaps even some criminal elements

(53:07):
we've talked about before on this show. But now, when Gerald learned that
Greg and I had a signed apromotional agreement with the company in New York,
and we were going to start runningour own little wrestling shows in the
Big Apple. He went back tohis criminal friends, and that's when all
of this went off the rails.Oh, why that you must mean when

(53:27):
my friends and my business associates, who you very unkindly referred to as criminals,
my friends bought themselves a minority stakein this white Horse media itself.
And what that means for you, boys, is that doctor Shielgood is here
to stay. Happy day, andI'm going to help you run your little
fairground shows there in the New Yorkmarket as well. Oh doesn't that sound

(53:51):
so nice? In the New Yorkmarket as well as rekindling my old territory
right down Old Hamburg Way. Nowsay hello to your new booker. Boys.
We are finally in the professional wrestlingbusiness together. And what a long,
strange trip it has been. Yeah, I noticed how you skipped over
the fact that you're forcing us geraldagainst our will to also associate with a

(54:16):
man who threatened my life, threatenedto rape me in my own studio.
With this rabid, ravenous and sexobsessed pit bull. We're going to be
forced to deal with Dino Royale nowon top of the hostage situation that we've
already found ourselves in. This isabsolutely repulse of Gerald. It's a miscarriage

(54:36):
of justice that you forced your wayinto our lives and our business for that
matter. I never respected you,but now I can clear clearly say I
can't stand you. Gerald. Ohrook, you wound me, except you
can't stand me. I no longercare. Things get so much simpler upon

(55:00):
the moment that a man stops caring. Freedom Boys, that's the name of
my game, but not quite thename of yours. I'll remind you of
the last words I left you withon the phone call that I made from
the Boardwalk City. It sucks tobe you. So it's gonna go like
this. Dino and I have alreadydiscussed talent from around the globe which we

(55:24):
see fit to bring into our brandnew promotion for main event matches. Now,
Dino has already been awarded the championshipout of this promotion, and I
can't think of a better and onyou boys have nothing to say about it.
I can't imagine a better inaugural championthan the champion of the people the
hero of a human race. MisterDino Royale, you boys will stay in

(55:45):
your lean work on the business endof things like good little boys. You'll
book the arenas, you'll do theannouncing, and you'll be the harmless administrators
that I know you could be.And hey, if you've got a suggestion
or two that you're real nice about, who knows I may even listen to
it. That all depends on you. Well, I know, I'm thoroughly

(56:07):
depressed, fans. I don't evenknow where to begin. I can only
apologize and tell you the regret andthe pain that Greg and I feel about
this turn of events. We'll tryto make the best of it. I
suppose. We'll do everything we canto bring you the class of content you're
used to, and we'll try tominimize the negative impact of Gerald and his

(56:28):
All Right, now, that's quiteenough, Rook. Time to put your
lips back around your pacifier and letthe grown up stalk Grego roll that day
I sent over to him. Letthe fans here Dino and I calling out
the fake Native American Tataka and challengehim to a main event match at one
of our first super shows of thenew Raygime, Dino and I will provide

(56:52):
these promos and listen close on thisfellas. Dino and I will provide these
promos when and how we see fit, and when you received them, you're
gonna damn will play them. Andif you don't, well, let's just
say I got a little ace upmy sleeve to make sure you get with

sell me a ninety seven Dodge Dark. You're you're in the market. Listen
up to Taka let me tell yousomething. You're not a Native American.
You're an impostor. You're a poser. You're a Mexican jumping on the ring

doing a fucking rain dance. That'swhat you are. You're no more Native
American than Elizabeth goddamn warrant. YouRemember when I beat you for this belt,
I'm about to beat you again.I'm gonna allow you the privilege I
can get the hell off of me. I'm gonna allow you the privilege of
wrestling me one more time. Andit's gonna be for that ridiculous head dress,

(58:22):
you fake Native American d engine comingback off. And after I beat
you at the Hamburg field House inthe middle of three hundred and fifty people
or seventy five people, book Joseph, after I beat shut the hell up,
tild I tell you what to talkof. I'm gonna give you the
privilege of wrestling me one more timein the Hamburg field House in for a

(58:45):
fifteen or sixteen people. And afterI beat you in that ring mano e

fake ass head dress. I'm gonnapluck get the fuck off of me.
She'll deal. I'm gonna take thatheaddress pricket better rather, and I'm gonna
send it to your fake Native Americanfriends who are running all those gods damn

(59:07):
cacinos. They're still my money comingto god damn it. She'll good enough.
One more thing. Welcome back tworows from ringside fans. We are

(59:30):
here today with a very special guest, a very enterprising young man, podcast
host of Autism, Rocks and Rolls, and fantastic super wrestling fan, mister
Sam Mitchell. Sam, how areyou doing tonight? Sir? Oh,
we're doing good. We um.We just got any chicken fried steak.

(59:52):
So oh that sounds amazing. It'sreally good. First time I had it
in a while. Rick, ye, I bet you didn't eat that well
to night. I did not.I didn't. I wish I had chicken
bride stakes I had. I hadsome old pasta. So Sam, you're
doing better than both of us onthe on the dinner front. Well,

(01:00:12):
I met ps for sinas Aragus,so even better. Oh man. Now
I am officially jealous, but Ihave some questions for you. Man.
Um. First of all, Ireally want to talk about wrestling. But
but before we do. Right beforewe started recording, I was talking to
you about the interview I listened totoday with you and Temple Grandon, who's

(01:00:34):
really a hero in the in theuh you know, autism community, and
a real trailblazer for people that areas she says, really stretching. Uh.
What was that experience like for yougetting to interview Temple? Well,
it was a unique one, Ithink. Um, I didn't know her
quite until my mom told me.Actually I didn't like hear about her that
well. I heard her like alittle bit, but not like super super

(01:00:55):
much. But then I looked missome research. I did my homework,
and she was a pressive, Imust say, and blunt, honestly a
blunt person. She was, Oh, yeah, but I can relate.
I'm kind of a blunt guy too. I'm like, let's just tarting what
you want to tell me? Well, you know, it's it's funny.

(01:01:15):
Um, do you think that doyou think there's aspects of professional wrestling that
being someone who is living with autismand and and stretching your limits as Temple
grand And talks about. I mean, here you are hosting a podcast,
uh, talking to really interesting, awesome people. Uh, stretching your limits

(01:01:37):
as much as you can do.You think there's something about pro wrestling that
you really connect to because of that. Yeah, you know, it's wrestling,
it's dance. I always make funit's called dance dancing wrestling. So
they are doing the moves, they'redancing around. I mean, not like
jig getting the jigs, but justlike dancing in the flips and stretching their

(01:01:59):
limits and going over tables. Soyeah, I would say, so,
so there you see the sort oflike a choreography and a routine to it
that you like. Hm, yes, sir, that's very interesting. That's
very interesting. What would you sayis your what was the thing that really
got you into wrestling? Do youremember what it was that was like your

(01:02:19):
favorite thing that you saw it?You're like, I love this. Well,
I can't really like say my thing, but my favorite The first match
I saw was I think for somereason, it was a SmackDown. For
some reason, I spun like theraw roulette on that day. I don't
know why, but and I sawShamus versus Wade Barren in a tables match,
and that first thing and I sawand I thought, holy crap,

(01:02:43):
I'm into this and then I hadto get limited with it. But then
as time went on, I justdid more research and still love it.
I heard you say to Temple grandAnd during your interview that you if you
could do one thing all day andmake people talk about only one thing,
it would be bwe wrestling. That'sstill true today. Oh yeah, it's
that's partial. I'd say it's partial. Try this podcasting and family honestly.

(01:03:08):
Yeah, And if I didn't,As from his mother's standpoint, um,
as far as with the Asperger's autism, um, you know that is a
really um common behavior with somebody withaspergers. Um. It's a fixation.
It's an obsession. It's an obsession. And you know, when when they're

(01:03:29):
young, or when Sam was young, we thought, well, he loves
wrestling. He's six years old, though you know he'll like it for a
while. He's eighteen and he's stillis just loves it as much as he
did when he was six. Andyou know when they're younger, you I
mean you have to limit. Weused to have to limit and say okay,
you can talk about wrestling for twentymore minutes and then we have to

(01:03:52):
kind of move on to something else. Um. And but now I don't
know, Like, um, he'sreally good at remembering, wrestling and understanding
in my opinion, because he hasautism. That's part of it, that's
part of having that fixation. Butthen those fixations, like Temple Granton talked

(01:04:13):
about, can can turn into skills, can turn life skills. And you
know, she specifically talks about peoplein Silicon Valley, most of them have
autism because of their programmers specifically, right, absolutely, their ability to focus.
Amazon hires people who are on theautism spectrum because they don't make a

(01:04:36):
mistake. They they hire them specificallyperfectionists. They're perfectionists, so they don't
they pay attention to detail. Yeah, we don't stop until we get it
right. That's clear, cuts Rathhonestly. Yeah. But it could actually
be an ability, Like it's labeleda disability. There's this huge stigma you
know, on it in society, but it can it can actually be an

(01:05:00):
ability. Well, i'd actually liketo hear from both of you guys.
Well, first of all, Mom, what was your first name? I'm
sorry I didn't catch it the firsttime. Gina. Gina, Okay,
Gina, thanks for thanks for talkingto us about that. I wondered for
both of you guys, what Sam, I remember when you were talking to
Temple Grand and you said, it'sreally hard for you to let things go

(01:05:20):
once you're once you're really focused onsolving a problem and it's not solved,
it really bugs you and you haveto work to to let that go.
Um. Is that is that whatyou think it is that you can't stop
till you get it right? Isit because you have that drive in that
obsession to solve it or get itdone? Yeah? I have. I
have a perfect example of this actually, So I'll watched Two and a half

(01:05:43):
Men and there was a little itwas like a little clip and Jake Harper
Um he went out what something was? So he walked through his dad and
asked, and I think his dadand his rover in the middle of something,
and he said, hey, dad, what's this? And then um,
that is dash I like focus onlike so us because kind of appropriate
what it is. But he's like, oh, you remember this girl right,

(01:06:05):
And he's like yeah, hey,and he's like back to what the
sudden bright like what's this? Yeah? Yeah, example, but it kind
of reminded me of that. Well. Yeah, like just I've seen it
for eighteen years. I mean,he you know, sometimes it can't be
an advantage, like because he isvery motivated to finish things and to do

(01:06:27):
it right. But then as Idon't know, sometimes it's not reasonable.
You know, he will want tokeep doing it and he'll say I am
doing this until I get finished, and I'm like, but but we have
to leave, like we have todo this or we have to do that.
So finding that balance throughout the yearshas been tough sometimes, you know.

(01:06:51):
I'm a little bit a funny storyfor you here. Now. I
don't believe that I'm on the autismspectrum anywhere, and I don't think Ricky
is either. However, I knowmy parents forbid me from talking about wrestling
in school because I talked about itso much at home that they were worried
about me. And my mom wouldn'teven let me talk about it at school
at all. So I think Ihave had the same problem you dude,

(01:07:13):
Sam, I can understand that thing. It's WOD wrestling obsessive disorder. I
have it, but we both gotit. Yeah, I do. Also,
it was funny because a few yearsago he got to meet Nick Foley.
Oh wow, Yeah, my favoriteof all time. Actually, he
was an Indian appol when we liveabout two hours south of Indie and he

(01:07:34):
I took him up there and hemet him and Sam he said, or
maybe it was I said, hehas been obsessed with wrestling since he's been
six And McK foley said same,he had been too. So, um,
you got it right, Yeah, you got it. Not not make

(01:07:57):
sure to talk out lunch. Ohthat's something different, these skills that he
has. I mean, he couldwork for the WWE. I mean he
could be he could be somebody inI'll give me a referee for one too,
or you he could be like partof the storyline or a writer.
I mean he can like a continuitycut type of just I'm not going to
wrestle because of a beer belly.I got you do. Look, our

(01:08:21):
bodies aren't ready for primetime either,Sam. I can tell you than both
of us. Sam, so slashon the top rope. That's it now,
you, Mick Foley, is youris your favorite? Uh? Do
you have a favorite mcfoley match ora mcfoley moment um? I have a

(01:08:42):
I have a favorite match and amcfole match. Honestly, so it's both
so it's nicfoly match and my favoritematch it's Undertaker versus a man Kind but
not the hellles cell. It's notthat we only show us that. That's
my dad's favorite slam. King ofthe Ring in your house eleven Buried Alive?
Is that the one oh Buried Alive? Okay, okay, that's the
one where all the wrestlers come outand help help Mankind burry the Undertaker?

(01:09:06):
Right, Yeah, yes, sir, I remember it. Yeah, and
if I remember correctly, Ricky, you correct me if I'm wrong on this.
But doesn't at the end of thatUndertaker reach his hand out of the
ground like in the in carry, like like he's come back from the dead.
Yes, I actually ironically watched thata couple of weeks ago. That
The reason why I like it's soit's a basic hardcore match. Is something

(01:09:29):
new, something kind of fresh, something no one's ever seen. But it's
hardcore. But it's not like they'regoing to kill each other. It's kind
of like he's a few chair shots, if he's a few dive shots.
Okay, boom, you gotta goodmatch, honestly, Yeah, yeah.
My favorite mcfoley match is probably againstShawn Michael's at Mine Games where when Michaels
was the champion and Folly was challenging. I think that's probably my favorite.

(01:09:51):
Ricky, do you have a favoriteFolly? I would say, I don't
know. I'm not going to zeerit into a favorite match. Now,
this might be a little bit beforeyour time, Sam, but Cactus Jack
and ECW was awesome. I've heardI actually watched a clip of that yet
down the network. So yeah, well, if you I was just gonna
say, if you have the ww E network, definitely check out ec

(01:10:12):
W W Greg like ninety five ishninety six, Yep, I would say
right around yeah, right around ninetyfive. I'm gonna say, because he
was he came to WWE ninety sixand he was He was very very good
in ECW. That was my andalso early nineties w CW he had was
a um how we have ninety threeor ninety two Greg him and uh Vader?

(01:10:34):
Oh that was ninety three. Yeah, Actually, you know what,
that is my favorite mcfoley match,Sam, do you remember in that match
when Vader fell backwards on mcfoley andkind of squashed him on the ramp.
I saw that, I saw clipduring during a documentary. I don't know
how he survived it. That's crazy. I don't want to watch. Now.

(01:10:58):
I have a question for you guys. Actually, if you guys don't,
yeah, let's hear it. What'syour favorite matches? I can tell
you right off the top of myhead. It's nine. I was there
live, so I think it's alittle special for me. Uh So it
was Brett Hart, my favorite wrestlerever versus the British Bulldog at in your
House Season's Beatings. Best match Iever saw? Ricky? What about you?

(01:11:24):
What's your favorite? That's really reallytough, but I'm going to say
probably my favorite match would be thefirst of the trilogy of Rick Flair and
Ricky Steamboat. I believe that waswell, yes, the Clash of the
Champions, right, yeah, ShtownRumble. I think shown Rumble. Yes,

(01:11:47):
Okay, I think that was probablymy favorite to watch those two oh
three great matches that year between them, it's worth seeing for sure. Now
I want to back to wrestling,Sam, but first I did have another
question for you, because I findyou very interesting. I'll be honest.
I was so excited when you reachedout to us because I think I think

(01:12:09):
somebody who's trying to I believe inone of your promos you said trying to
take the stigma away from autism andliving with autism, and that was so
impressive to me. And then whenI found out you interviewed Temple Grand and
I was super impressed and jealous becauseI'm a big admirer of hers as well.
I've seen all our ted talks.Anyway, my question is, why

(01:12:30):
do you think it's important to takeaway the stigma off of autism and other
conditions that people might think are disabilities. Why is that important to you?
Well, here's my thing, andmy opinion is portant because people think we're
dumb and we're stupid. Honestly,it's wrong. We're not. I think
we maybe have a lot of challengeson the way I think some like.

(01:12:53):
I mean, for example, Idon't think some will be able to live
on their own personally, I'm not, but I think they If you get
down in their brains deeply, youwill know that every person the thoughts has
at least one talent or at leastsomething to give. Yeah, every Yeah,
everybody has something to give, andthat you know when he started his

(01:13:15):
podcast, I'm an English teacher. So when he started it, you know,
I kind of went to the Englishteacher mode and I said, well,
what do you want to happen?Like, do you want to make
money? Are you trying to entertainpeople? Are you trying to help people?
Like what we're happening? And sohis immediate response was, I want
to help and I want to educatepeople from the mind of somebody who you

(01:13:38):
know, like lives this every singleday. Doctors study it, and I
give them all the props because they'vehelped us, But in my opinion,
they don't understand to love. Theycan, Oh, yeah, I understand
how you live with this. Ohyeah, sure, I know you'll be
blunt. No, you don't understandthat. You know how I could offend
someone on accident. You don't understandI can how I enter a conversation struggle

(01:14:03):
very difficulty. Yeah, he hasthe I mean he has the emotional knowledge
really and then you know they havethe textbook knowledge and that helps everybody.
Um, so they yeah, there'sthere's just a huge stigma on autism and
just um, I don't even likethe word disabilities. Yeah, we don't

(01:14:23):
say disabilities, we don't say normal. I guarantee I'm not normal. I
can guarantee you I'm not normal either. You see that guy over there,
Ricky, He's definitely Nobody gets tobe normal. Nobody gets to define that.
That's not fair. Um, andthat's what I always tell the kids
like me and my classroom bell saywell, that's not normal. And I'm

(01:14:44):
like, can you please explain tome what's normal? Because I'm forty five
years old and I don't I don'tknow what that means. So we've just
always taught Sam to be Yeah, him, he is Sam, and he
can take that piece of him autismand he can represent that. However,
he went, yeah, and Dickknock out topic here. But you mentioned

(01:15:05):
Ted talk earlier. Yeah, I'mgoing to do a Ted talk tomorrow.
You are, I am this?I remember? Okay, So, because
when we first started talking, yousaid, when we were trying to come
up with a date, you said, that's the day before my Ted talk.
Please tell us about that because I'mI'm like getting excited thinking about talking
to someone who's doing a Ted Talk. Sure, well you can attend if

(01:15:26):
you want either their tickets online,um te total in some of the links
real quickly. If we have yourcontact information. After you guys get finished,
I can have send you It's throughevent, right, and it is
a free event because Sam is amonga handful of other youth that are doing
it. So we'll make sure youget that link. Yeah, shoot over

(01:15:47):
and then when I when I editthis together, I'll put in a plug
right afterwards so everybody can know ifobviously they won't be able to attend,
but maybe they'll be able to hearit or see it somewhere. If there's
a recording, may you attend thatyou can get taken. It's all the
way up till I think she saidnew tomorrow. Yeah, okay, you
can get them. Yeah, youcan get them. Good deal, good
deal. Wellde, how do youfeel about doing a Ted Talk? Sam?

(01:16:10):
Well, what do you what doyou hope to get across to the
audience. Well, it's a littlenerd wreking. I won't lie, but
I enjoy public speaking, so I'mnot as scared as I would be a
while back ago. I guess he'sway to put it well, and it
is via like a good zoom.Because of COVID, it has to be
a virtual event, and um,all of the Ted Talks that will be

(01:16:30):
represented have been recorded. Um sothe um the program is about half live
and then the other half is prerecordedvideos. Okay, so but it is
through Ted. It's through Ted Xand Bloomington, Indiana. Yep. Wow,
very excited for that. That soundsthat sounds pretty cool. Yeah,

(01:16:55):
I'm going to do it over UM. I think autistic people in instructure in
their life a lot, in myopinion. So the story about the backstory,
I guess is on my UM.On my podcast, I did an
episode. Um, I decided youbecause I love to play pinball. That's
a personal habit, habit hobby ofmine and and I enjoy that very much.

(01:17:16):
So I decided to do that episodeof a on pinball like compared the
analogy of pinball machine too autism, which she loved over here, but it
was really good. Feel like thatGina is your biggest fan? Is that
true? Oh yeah, oh yeah, I'm I'm number Mama's boy over here
A me too A form mom,I'm yeah. I he's the voice of

(01:17:44):
the podcast, but um, Ido all of the I do all of
the behind the scenes stuff. Yeah, he's not paid me yet, but
we'll see. Your editing is onpoint Gina, because I was I was
surprised at how there was like nodead air. No, actually that's okay,
Well then you props she does.Like I have a website that's out

(01:18:06):
the Rockshalls dot com. That's allher. I maintain the website and I
searched for guests. He does too. He does that too, and he
and I both dow a lot ofthe writing. UM so yeah, yeah,
yeah, we stay busy with it. It's like two full time jobs.
I think it's so cool. Andyou know, I like this is
not to disparage anyone else, butI know a lot of eighteen year olds

(01:18:30):
and very few of them can getmotivated enough to do like anything. So
I find it. I find itvery impressive that you're not only living an
eighteen year old life and trying tomake your way in the world, but
you're also putting out this great contenton your podcast. Uh you know that's
that's that's pretty aggressive. Um.So the other the other quick question,
I uh, the quick question Ihad for here where are my notes?

(01:18:54):
Um, talk to me really quickabout what do you think was the hardest
thing that you've had to go throughSam, and what was the thing you're
most proud of. Um, okay, well that's good. That's a good
question. Honestly, everything on mypodcast is the most difficult thing I've ever
had to go through. Every positiveit's on my podcast. So honestly versus

(01:19:15):
bluntness, I need to learn thatmore often because I have I'll be dead,
I have no filter. I'll tellyou the truth straight up to your
face. Like, I know itsounds awful, but it's really it's true.
Do you find that people react badlyto that? Yeah, well I
think people need to learn it.This sounds awful too, but I think
people need to learn to grow upbecause Americans are babies. Yeah, I

(01:19:40):
think this whole country needs a lotof growing up. There you go,
You got an agreement right there. But he says that, but you know,
as his parents, we've I don'tknow, we've tried to to really
let him be himself. But atthe same time, there is still,
you know, structure in society whereyou to your job and you're too blunt,

(01:20:02):
you know, you can't do that. I mean, there are norms
that we have to follow. Sothat's kind of been a hard balance with
him because I'm pretty blunt too,and I'm you know, that's where I
get it. He's seen that inhis whole life. But at the same
time, I've had to learn whento like zip my mouth and you know,
so that that puts the foot inthe mouth or catching in a wheel

(01:20:25):
back in. Yeah, Like he'llsay things that we just wouldn't be like,
oh well let's take it that back. Yeah, sucking it and sucking
the words. Sam, What doyou do when you feel like, Okay,
the person I'm talking to just likeisn't taking this very well? How
do you pull back? Is itreally hard? I just apologize and feel
awful. Honestly, Yeah, hehas had to do that. I stop.

(01:20:49):
My stomach gets and no, I'mlike, oh no, like it
just happened. You know what happened. I'm probably gonna get punched in the
face for like a few minutes.Well glad it opened this and come to
clothes very often, and then socialcues is what some like as an outsider,
like it's it's been heartbreaking, youknow, as as his mother before,

(01:21:10):
because there's been times where I cansee him interacting and both like on
both sides of the points, likeI can see, oh, they're not
taking this very well, and they'realmost like turning their backs to him and
they're like doing the eye rolls. They don't understand him, and he doesn't
see that, but I do.I do now. But then sometimes he

(01:21:30):
does see it, and that's evenmore heartbreaking because I want to swoop in
and be like, okay, listen, buddy, like he's trying to talk
to you. Right. Used tobother me, but now it's like it's
your loss at this point. Yeah, I think that's a good attitude to
have, you know, it's like, don't let somebody else's problem become yours.
But I understand, Gina. Youknow, I had a kid.

(01:21:50):
It was like an eight year oldkid who was picking on my young child
at the playground and I wanted totake a swipe at this kid. And
I was like, well, youcan't hit eight year olds, So what
do you I've been there, Iactually I was saying I was years ago.

(01:22:11):
I was Sam's an English teacher,so that four years ago, so
several years ago. So I kindof saw from a mom's standpoint and a
teacher's standpoint. Um, I sawit like in the classroom in my class,
and there were other kids. Ifeel like that in my class who
did the same thing. Yeah, because my classes, we're not the best
class of life. Yeah, hehad kind of a rough class, but
um that And then at one point, I remember one time there was a

(01:22:34):
convocation in the gym and he hadto leave early or something, and I
walked in. Doctor, I walkedin to get him, and um,
I think my mom was there topick him up. But I saw,
I witnessed from across the gym.I could tell Sam was something was happening.
He was really uncomfortable and there werelike four boys his age and they

(01:22:57):
had pencils and they were jabbing andwith the pencil and as his mother and
so I set for a second andI thought it happen for a minute because
I wanted to see. Um.But oh, those poor boys they cried
when they were Yeah, it wasif they were They left me alone afterwards,

(01:23:20):
yeah, because I just went likethey got the SmackDown laid on them.
Yeah. Literally, Yeah, I'veseen, we witness witness things like
that, you know. But he'she's grown up a lot and he takes
things really well. Yeah. Youknow, I heard you say something interesting
a few minutes ago when you weretalking about the doctors that you work with

(01:23:42):
and stuff like that, and itseems like maybe you think sometimes even though
they try to understand and they understandlike what they've learned, it's hard for
them to really understand what it's like, you know, when you offend people
by accident or uh, things likethat. How do you how do you
work around feeling frustrated with with thosedoctors? Do you tell him like,
hey, you know, I reallydon't think you get it? How do

(01:24:06):
you handle that? Sam? Ijust found it very interesting. I'm curious.
I never had a deal with thatreally, so I can't answer that
really, but if I, ifI ever had to, I would just
be like, here's the deal.I know, you're a doctor, you
get tow our brains work sort of, which like the basis of it.
So I will thank you, butyou don't understand like these certain opts would

(01:24:28):
lets go through every day? Yeah, and I've but I respect them of
course. Oh absolutely. When hewas diagnosed when he was four, um,
we knew a little bit about it, but I had to rely on
the professionals to understand, like whatdo I do now? You know that
it has this diagnosis, but asas it's gone on. I can remember
doctors saying, Oh, don't worryabout that, and I'm like, it's

(01:24:50):
very easy for you to say becauseyou're not in the same house. Or
the opposite of that is oh,that's terrible, and we've just kind of
had to kind of find our ownYeah, at our own way. I
always say this too. It's kindof this is another issue with autism really
much. It's similar wrestling. Ithink in my way, and that's part
of it. It's as she said, I thought my way or the highway.

(01:25:14):
So basically is as wrestlers say they'regoing to accept on this day,
like they always say, I'm gonnachallenge you to the Royal Rumble at for
the Universal Championship. They say yes, hey, it's their way. They
say no, they're gonna take managein their own way. So basically I'm
like, Okay, we're doing itthis way, I'm gonna take manage and
do it my way, or we'renot doing it, which is I do

(01:25:36):
have a question for you, then, um, as far as like the
autism and treatment, do you likeme? I don't have autism, but
I have obsessive compulsive disorder and there'stimes where I'll go many months feeling okay,
and then I will have flare ups, and the flare ups of my

(01:25:56):
OCD will then cause tremendous anxiety. And it's kind of be a convicious cycle.
And then I will usually see atherapist who has done wonder STORMA.
She is an amazing person. Umdo you do go to therapy like to
help with those things? Or UmI used to, but not as much

(01:26:16):
anymore. But do your thing.I can relate to anxiety. I have
that really bad too, so Ican see. I always say this.
I never say to anyone I canthis is the worst one someone says me,
and I know you're trying to benice, but not really like I
understand what you're going through. Ohthat's that's AWFU, that's awful. But

(01:26:38):
yeah, I always say like Ialways were, like, I can't understand,
like you said, you have OCD. I can't understand your OCD,
like I'll be denast but I canrelate to you how anxiety. I can
relate to that because really bad myself, So I don't want to say I
understand it. I can relate hedon my experience, I have found the
therapists to be so much more helpfulthan the doctors and psychiatrists and so forth.

(01:27:05):
Um, I feel like the therapistsare really the uh you know,
truly the backbone of at least forme, you know, with with helping
and I know they helped the wholespectrum of things. So I was just
curious if you know, if authorismdid uh you know, I if therapy
ever helped you or anything like that. Yeah, I have a life coach,

(01:27:27):
but um, it's uh. Hername is Martha Miller, and she
is wonderful and we need to seeher sometimes. She has a wonderful dog
too, So that's part of thereason why woman. Dogs love me back.
So I think it's really stroke aroundthe dog whisperer. Pretty much every
dog that you meet, you're theworst, meanest dogs love me. You

(01:27:48):
do anything special to connect with dogsor is it just natural? I don't
know. Here, here's an exampleall I did. I'm gonna jump off
of here. Um, but thankyou for inviding me to come on.
I kind of like invited myself. But glad you were here. No,
I I was kind of hearing himtalk and anyway anytime I can help,

(01:28:09):
Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna jumpoff so he could, like Duke talk
his wrestling and get to get intohis groove. So both of you,
though, thank you. So yeah, with dogs, I don't know really,
all I do is, well, apparently all I do is I'm trying
to like some dogs. I feellike people sometimes I just like but dog

(01:28:30):
just like jump in, like jumpin the jump in the barrel. I
guess is as they say, orjump in the space. Yeah, I'm
if dogs aren't like that, Ijust do it gently, like I would
like to say, like six feetfrom them, were a little maybe a
little further, let me a littlecloser and in just reach my hand out
to those dogs who don't trust humansbecause they've been through a lot. So

(01:28:54):
you feel like you understand how faryou can go into their space without making
them feel defensive. Yeah maybe aggressive? Yeah yeah, Now I'm sorry we're
bouncing all around here, but Ireally do want to know. Do you
have any plans or dreams of evergetting involved directly with wrestling somehow in some

(01:29:15):
way? You know? Just no? If well, for our fans perspective,
I would like to be in thefront row of a VIP and VP.
That would be nice, But asfar as I get in the rain
or counting one, two three. If it happens, it happens, but
highly unlikely. So no, really, but from our fans, I do

(01:29:38):
from a fan, yes, Sothat leads me to my next question,
which is where do you see thepodcasting going. Is that something you can
see going long term with or isthat something you think I'll do it for
a while and move on to thenext thing. I don't know. Actually,
I think I'm gonna keep you asalways ask some gas left in the
tank as as I like to say. But this could be a hobby,

(01:29:59):
it could be a job. Idon't know. Really, only has time,
Only time I can tell that, all right. So, speaking of
wrestling, now, you told mealready that the thing that really got you
hooked was Shamous and Wade Baird inthe tables match. Was there any other
moments that jump out at you aslike wow, that really that really just
made you aware of this magic, wonderful thing that we all love. Was

(01:30:23):
there any other things that stick outas like wow, this stuff is cool?
The stories? I feel like inwrestling, there's not only the match,
there's the stories. You gotta tella great story, I mean,
and THEWS. Why I like toyou have like these superheroes like Superman,
Batman, They're all I like superheroes. I'm a big fan of superheroes too,

(01:30:45):
but they're they have superpowers, right, a bad thing. I mean,
I thinks need them. But theseguys, they don't have superpowers.
There's supers and supermols come into reallife in my eyes. Yeah, they
are kind of like that, aren'tthey? Like real life superheroes. Now
the Fiend he's got some powers, doesn't he. Oh yeah, he's one
of my favorites as of now.Like currently, Ricky used to really really

(01:31:09):
love The Fiend. He's been alittle disappointed lately ever since he lost a
Goldberg a lot of steam. Ifeel like they buried him. Um.
Yeah, and unfortunately it was justthere was no recover. There's no recovering
for me after that. Yeah,if you like superheroes both, Sam,
you know, I'm guessing you saidyou were eighteen, so you were born

(01:31:30):
correctly from wrong two thousand and two. Yep, you nail it. Man.
Well, if you on your WWnetwork, and I think Greg will
attest if you rewind about ten yearsprior and like the early nineties, you
want to talk about superhero like characters. You're in for a real treat.
I'm not sure how much early wwF you watched or WWE for that matter,

(01:31:54):
but you want to talk about characters, Yeah, I did. I
watched a documentary on the Monday night, Wars, and I watched some of
that too. Those characters, Ohmy goodness, they are over the top.
Oh my gosh. Absolutely, they'rehilarious. Some are stupid, but
some really worked. Actually, Imean yes, that's why I also like

(01:32:14):
kind of make Fully because you know, his character was kind of in as
mankind. That's who I like himas. He's intriguing but it works.
Yes, I agree with you.You know, maybe you can give your
opinion on this, Sam, ifyou have one. But Mick Foley I
think really appealed to a lot ofpeople because he's like, he's a guy
that you could know, like hesaid, every man. Yeah, do

(01:32:36):
you think that's why people like himso much? Yeah? I like him.
That's the reason why I like him. He's you got by builds like
Triple h the rock Um trying anotherbodybuilder as a wrestler, like like Hogan
or Steve Steve Auston. Make Fully, he was just like the guy you
live you see next door, youcould see you in your neighbor's house.

(01:32:58):
Yeah, is there anything that reallymakes you mad about wrestling? Like anything
you think is just dumb? Um? It's not really dumb in my opinion.
I mean, I think what's dumbthat? I think? Sometimes the
characters are dumb when you get abad match. Honestly too, when you
get like a bad match. Yeah, it's just like the inter Tak versus

(01:33:23):
Goldberg. I don't watch it.I would never watch it because I know
for a fact I'm excuse my Langshire, but it's true. It would piss
me off. It was pretty darkbad, I'll tell you that much.
I don't because I just started gettingout this is this is stupid. Well,
you know, it really grinds mygears is And I've spoken about this
before. Is I hate all thebelts now. I think all of the

(01:33:44):
belts cheap in it. You know, back when I was a girling,
when I was young, you know, we had a heavyweight belt, we
had the Intercontinental belt, and wehad the tag team belts and that was
it and it was special whoever hadthose. But now there's two championships because
you have the Royal Championship and theSmackDown Championship and you start to lose count.
Yeah, that's what I can't sayabout the new product. I my

(01:34:09):
favorite belt of all the time,it is not the Heavyweight Championship, it's
the Intercontinental. I'm with you, buddy, which one is it? Like?
Uh, the the Attitude Era one? All intercontinental belts for a reasonable
opinion, I think this is it'skind of funny phrase. I always say
first is the worst, Second's thebest. There's want the Harry Chess.

(01:34:30):
But to me, I like secondbecause I feel like they have to work
harder than the than the ring.I mean, don't get me wrong,
the championship belt, that's good, but the intercontinal, to me, you
could put value to and people haveto work harder for that belt. Hey
be you're the second and I feellike it's the work course belt to get
to the Heavyweight Championship. And youknow, to back up what you're saying,

(01:34:53):
I feel like the Intercontinental Championship wasalways represented the best in ring wrestlers.
I agree with that too. Lookat Sean Michaels, John Ricky Steamboat.
I mean there's uh go on andon I mean you man, No,
I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Hewas the best workers. But no,

(01:35:14):
they do call it the worker's belt. Um. So, Sam,
So you say like something like thatundertake right, right, but that he
was a he like that match waskind of dumb, Like that was just
stupid, but most of it youlove. Um what did you think of
the the Did you see the moneyin the Bank match where they fought through
the corporate building? Did you getto see that one? Yeah? I

(01:35:40):
was corn corn corning. I thoughtthat the I thought my favorite part was
when they're fighting through and otis thebig fat beach ball with legs. He
he comes in there and he juststarts in the middle of the fight,
He's just starts eating pies. Yeah, I love it. In that match,
when they go in Vince McMahon's officeand and with this pandemic if they

(01:36:02):
have to use hand sanitizer, Ijust thought that's classical. I thought it
was cool that Vince had like aTyrannosaurus Rex skull on his wall. Did
you notice that? No? Ididn't. Actually I wish I did,
though, Yeah, it's pretty cool. I had one more question for you
here, Sam, and then Iwant to make sure that you and your
mom can send me the information foryour tech talk so I can share that

(01:36:24):
with the audience. But my last, my last question is just really you
don't see yourself involved more than afan with wrestling going forward. You're not
sure where the podcast is going togo. How much gas you have left
in the tank. What are someother long term goals that you have,
long term dreams, goals, thatkind of stuff. Well, it's a
good question. Actually, honestly, this goes out bland, but to me

(01:36:47):
means a lot. I say, just make it. You know, I
don't want to live I don't.My goal is not to be someone on
the streets, you know, notto be a poor hobo like Resell and
successful go to college, get ajob, and just live life and get
a house. Maybe you know,we'll get in definite get the house.
But like you like a family, maybe like have a dog. Maybe I

(01:37:10):
mean, just make it a lifeand make sure you can pay the finances
and live with life. I thinkit's a good answer, you know,
just make it through and be proudof what you did. I can dig
that, Ricky, did you haveanything else for Sam on this episode?
Because we were winding down our interviewsegment here, but did you have anything
else for Sam? Sam? You'rea sound like a very bright young man,

(01:37:33):
and I'm sure you have a greatfuture ahead of you. Just enjoy
your youth. I remember being eighteen, seemed like it was just yesterday and
I blinked my eyes and I'm nowgoing on thirty three, So enjoy it.
