To create this star-studded midlife montage episode, Michelle went to meet three fabulous women – Dame Judi Dench, her actress daughter Finty Williams and star of screen and stage, Jenny Seagrove. In the first of a series of montages to celebrate being a midlife or older woman, Michelle asked them all what was the best thing about life in our second spring.
Liz and Michelle chat about Jenny Seagrove's charity Mane Chance Sanctuary that rescues and rehabilitates horses with the community, Dame Judi's tik-tok star grandson, Sam William, dancing with Louis Theroux, Skyfall filming anecdotes and how Judy Dench uses her photographic memory to help her work despite age-related macular degeneration, diagnosed in 2012.
“In my mind’s eye I'm 6 feet and willowy and about 39,” she told the Guardian in an interview in 2021.
You'll be glad to know Dame Judi did not disappoint - her warmth, laughter and personality shone through, despite her 88 years she is as vibrant as ever - and quite the tik-tok dancer!

PODCAST DESCRIPTION
Join hosts Liz and Michelle redefining life over 50 as empty nesters, embracing the highs and lows of midlife with celebrity guests and experts, sharing a laugh on their podcast sofa. We talk about real concerns, issues, and fun topics that affect us, our friends, and our family.
Midlife is not just about the menopause (although we’d be the first to admit it’s right up there!) but it is a time of adventure, change and reset - with plenty of opportunities and challenges along the way.
Whether we’re chatting about ‘boomerang kids,’ diet failures (and occasional successes!), pro-ageing, travel, changing relationships, or inspiration for new jobs or activities, there’s always room for one more on our sofa.
