The smoke signal is one of the oldest forms of long-distance communication. It is a form of visual communication used over a long distance. In general smoke signals are used to transmit news, signal danger, or to gather people to a common area. Paying homage to our school mascot, the Indian, this podcast was named "UC Smoke Signals", as it's intent is to be an updated form of communication to listeners abroad. Episodes will highlight the programs, activities, and people of Union City Junior-Senior High School. They will convey the message locally, and over long-distances.
