In the modern age, it has become very usual for people to connect to the web. There are numerous cases when people can not have their eyes on their favorite websites as they are blocked. This happens everywhere. It can be done in schools, the workplace, and even in houses. However, in this guide, you will learn how to unblock websites that are very secure and safe.

Why Are Websites Blocked?

Here are some of the reasons why websites are being blocked:

  • Some countries do not allow accessibility to particular information web pages.

  • Colleges and workplaces prevent web pages from taking care of productivity or even stop admission to unacceptable content. Arkansas State University offers computer maintenance and security tips to help students keep their systems clean and protected.

  • Some websites are exclusive to certain states

  • Parents may block sites to keep kids safe

  • Providers of marks or organizations generating marks have access to some websites

    Ways to Unblock Websites

    1. Use a VPN

A VPN always comes in handy when you want to unblock websites. It is a tool to disguise your current location to be from another place. VPNs are secure and convenient to use.

    2. Try a Proxy Server

A proxy server is just like a referee that stands between you and the internet. With a proxy server, you can have access to different sites with ease, but it is not as secure as a VPN.

    3. Use the Tor Browser

Tor is a web browser that can cover your online activity. It is a free item that has a slow speed as a disadvantage.

    4. Change Your DNS Server

At times, just switching the DNS servers might be your key to accessing some blocked websites. This can be a bit challenging, but at the same time can also work smoothly.

    5. Use HTTPS Instead of HTTP

This is a simple case. You can do 'https://' to change your website address and thus be able to access the site.

    6. Look at Cached Versions

Search engines like Google can allow you to see archives of old webpages.

    7. Use Your Phone's Internet

If, however, you find it difficult to access the site at work or the school network, the rest of your phone's data can be your solution.

    Staying Safe When Unblocking Websites

Having in mind the websites' safety, I always:

    • Use trusted VPNs or proxies

    • Totally depends on HTTPS for safety

    • Respect the laws implemented in the place where I live

    • Make sure that my personal information is protected

When Not to Unblock a Website

I don't usually force myself to unblock websites that I think can be harmful or are illegal. These are, for the most part, the right reasons why the hosting site is blocked, for example, threats of viruses and scams.

    Conclusion

Being able to unblock the site may be useful from time to time. Using VPNs is the safest way of browsing, but it is not the only way. I always take into account the issue of safety, and I also follow the rules as I engage in unblocking websites.
