Yoshai’el kneels beside a crying child named Isa and feels love break through the armor of war. The encounter becomes a mirror that burns away every illusion of separation. Later the reflection returns in human form as the woman who will test what remains of his faith, later breaking him completely, only to open up the ability for him to rise again. Through her he learns that light and darkness speak the same language, finally giving him the ability to translate his pain.
