Katie’s questioning spirit emerged early in life when, at just six years old, her friends invited her to go to the movies. When she asked if she could go, she was told that if Jesus came back while she was in the film, she would go to hell. This early exposure to rigid rules about who would be "saved" began her journey of questioning and seeking another way to experience love and spirituality.
