In this episode of Unexplained America, your host Lisa will discuss the Amityville case but this episode is specifically starting at the time George and Kathy Lutz move their family into 112 Ocean Ave, Amityville, New York.
On December 18, 1975, the Lutz family move into their new home. Right away the Lutz experience phenomenon that they cannot explain. They only live in the home for 28 days but their experience in the home will be made infamous in 1977, with the writing of a best selling novel labeled as non-fiction.
Following the book, The Amityville Horror, then comes a feature film by the same name released in 1979, starring James Brolin and Margot Kidder.
George and Kathy Lutz, although, they only lived in the home for 28 days, that 28 days will shape their lives and the lives of their children for the rest of their collective lives.
I will discuss the happenings in the 28 days, the Lutz background, the famous book and film, and then the happenings afterwards to the current day. I will also discuss Ed and Lorraine Warrens involvement as well.
And this is my 100th episode--I am so happy and proud and appreciative to all the listeners who have made this possible through their encouragement.
Warning--listener discretion--the episode contains the description of children being killed and their injuries.
Listen to hear full details.
