(00:12):
Welcome back to an influence. It'sbeen shit. We did a show.
We took a year off. Itwas two weeks since we did this one.
We got pretty good warm welcome backafter ye a year of not doing
shit. Uh so, thank you, guys. We're gonna keep them short
(00:32):
and sweet from now on. Thirtyforty five minutes. See how they go.
You guys can still write in toask uh asked uninfluenced at Gmail.
I should probably check that dot net, dot gov, dot org, dot
all of them shitsu, Yeah,I should probably check that asked uninfluenced at
(00:54):
gmail dot com. There you go. Sorry, it's also down in the
description. So you guys, fuckingnow in the prescription prescription? What the
fuck is this? Oh? Someonewanted to sponsors. Okay, so I'm
gonna get into something first. I'mgonna ask you fast car versus favorite car?
(01:15):
Are they the same or different inwhat defines them? Fastest car or
yeah? Fast car? Fastest?Oh? For sure? Not the same
for me. I mean, yeah, the Perfemante is easily the fastest car.
But I guess you know, it'simportant to quantify what do you mean
by fastest? Also, because ifI was to drive the perfemante versus the
(01:40):
piece that worthy, like let's sayanything, I mean from here to you
know, forty miles away, likeour normal morning drives, the Piece is
going to be faster. Yeah.So I would say, you know,
if you're talking about all around speed, then yes, it's the same car
(02:02):
in that one dimension of straight linespeed for a brief period of time then
no. So but to me,you know, fast means all around all
around speed, you know, everything, handling, the ability to push it
hard for long. That's what shesaid, And so yeah, I would
(02:23):
say it's the same. Yeah,And I figured you would go that route
to where And I agree, Well, if I were to go with things
I've driven and put a lot oftime in, I would love to have
seen the STO against the Pista.Yeah. Both stock cars minus the STO
(02:45):
had an exhaust which doesn't really doshit other and make it sound good.
Other than that, they were bonestock fucking cars. But the handling aspect
of both those cars was so fuckingnutty. Yeah, I think, uh,
top end wise for sure, pieceto catch up and fuck it up.
I still haven't drove the SF ninetyfor one. I'm scared, uh
(03:07):
not of its speed, but myaddiction to want to buy a ship that
I fall in love with too fast, like Asian hookers and shit like that.
Yeah, yeah, fast. Ifyou're quantifying being able to shift in
and out of lanes real quick andall that straight line speed, the quickest
(03:28):
I've been in would have to bethe performante straight line speed. Uh followed
up with the R eight both Reights, I guess, yeah, and
as it goes down you get intothe seven twenties and shit like that.
We're pretty fucking nutty. Yeah, but I agree with you. The going
(03:49):
in and out of turns won't saytraffic in and out of turns. If
we were to leave the same placeand say drive the t in Turbo UGR
perfor Monte and an s F ninetyor a piece to Sto, I think
from point A to point B,that's no contest. Yeah. No,
(04:11):
the other three cars that aren't asfast. Yeah, And this is why
I bring it up. That's whyI kind of wanted to attack that one.
First a viewer a listener, butin the comments, I feel your
pain. Man, I too,am a skilled and badass driver like you.
I just can't enjoy a car unlessit has two thousand horsepower and can
(04:33):
go three hundred miles per hour. It's just what I have to have for
my skill level. And I thinksomebody's having fun with us. Yeah,
and I think either they're trying topush buttons or they totally took what we
said wrong. Now, to me, I read that one hundred percent as
of just being a smart ass andmaking fun of us. Yeah, more
(04:53):
than anything, which which is fine. I mean, I mean, you
know too, I guess even tobe fair to that comment, one like,
obviously it's free country and say whateveryou want to talk whatever, whether
whether it's talking shit or not.I mean, you say whatever you want.
But um, you know, toI think to most people, hearing
us talk about cars and something thatwe would bitch about sounds ridiculous, you
(05:15):
know, and I mean, fuck, to be fair, it is ridiculous,
you know, like in anything thateither of us complain about, um,
car wise, it is kind ofdumb, but you know it's nuanced.
I mean, keep keep in mind, like this is a car and
motorcycle specific show. Yeah, soof course we're going to get way into
the weeds the same way they doon any podcast. Me if you hear
(05:35):
somebody talk like, let's say it'sa fitness podcast or even you know my
other show, you know, themic drop thing. We're talking about military
stuff. Like you get very nuancedand very into the weeds on certain things
because it's a it's a specialty episodeor show or you know, niche market
or whatever. But yeah, Ithink he's just fucking with this. But
(05:57):
yeah, and on that, No, the cars we're talking about that we
enjoy the most are actually the leasthorsepower. Yeah, I mean, well
to a point. I mean they'rethe happy mediums that. Yeah, they're
for sure not the highest word. They're the ones we talk about all the
time. That where we always sayanywhere from six hundred to eight hundred wheelish
(06:17):
is for what we do is aperfect mix of a car. Yeah we
can take something that six hundred andwe can enjoy ourselves. For that matter,
you can take a GT. ThreeRS and yeah, you're not gonna
get the top end speed, butyou could have just as much fun in
that car. Ye. So forinstance, we both drove something from say
(06:39):
Oklahoma too where we live with onehundred exact same vehicles one hundred and twenty
mile an hour rev limitar and wemade a We had a really good time.
It was funny the message you sent, like it doesn't matter what the
fun we're driving. We could beon two electric mopeds and fucking You'll be
(07:01):
on fucking the Mint Mint electric scootersand fucking Washington, DC downtown and still
fuck it up. As we wereabout to exit, I had a days
of thunder memory Rubbins racing well wherethey're leaving the rental car place yea and
going to that dinner and it startsout friendly and then it gets all fucked
up and yeah, I know itfucking great, but yeah, so I
(07:23):
mean it for us just the orfor me at least. I'm pretty sure
it's the same for you. Beingin anything that's fun and can it's somewhat
capable of doing things a normal vehiclewouldn't. And these were normal as vehicle,
I would say, an upgraded fuck. They were pickup trucks, guys,
uh, but elevated trucks. Theywere bone stock and we just fucking
(07:46):
I was having a fucking blast metoo. It was fucking great, and
uh and that's just how we are. It's not really we're competing to get
to anywhere it's as we start fuckinghaving fun and it don't matter what the
fuck we're in. Yeah, wegot in Rady, We're probably gonna get
kicked the fuck out. I don'tdoubt it. Yeah, for sure we're
gonna get flagged and talked to.But one one story I'll share, I
(08:09):
guess uh you know. So Idid a quick trip to Vegas for an
interview here fairly recently and hit SpeedVegas speaking to the you know, speed
versus horsepower or whatever. Uh.Speed Vegas had a nine nine two GT
three and a four eight eight Pistathat you could rent. So I rented
both of them and drove them backto back, five hard laps on the
(08:30):
track. And there's only a foursecond difference on that lap between the two,
which you know on that track it'sa one point eight mile track,
so I mean four seconds is afair bit um. However, you know,
the driving experience wise, the Pistawas absolutely more fun. Now,
to be fair, I have waymore time in one of those than I
(08:50):
do. In fact, it's thefirst time I've ever driven a GT three.
I've never driven a GT three RS. I had the g T two
RS and in the period that wetook this time off. I had a
g T two rs and got ridof it. It's a good, good
car, but just not not thepiece and not one that I would I
would want to hang onto, whichwe can talk about that later maybe,
but what I will say is thatyou know, on the track, like
(09:13):
on that track in particular, foranybody who's been to that, it's it's
got one long straight away that youcan get up to, depending on what
car you're in, anywhere from lowone hundred and twenty mile an hour up
to almost one hundred and fifty, depending again on what car you're in and
how you exit that that corner. But you know, it's a good straight
(09:33):
away where you get a real goodidea of what kind of pulling power and
that kind of top end legit straightline speed a car has. And that's
where you notice a an enormous differencebetween between the piece and the GT three,
which stands to reason. I mean, there's a two hundred and ten
horsepower difference, so it should feelway faster. But a couple of takeaways.
(09:56):
The GT three has more grip andit was on d Perelli tires.
The Pista was on Cup twos, which they were, they were worn out.
It was hot, and they gotspongey. The first two maybe three
laps, they were pretty solid. The fourth and fifth lap I noticed a
deterioration and grip on the piece towith with those fucking tires. I did
check them beforehand and they were prettyworn the fuck down. So that is
(10:20):
part of it, I'm sure. But the GT three clearly had more grip,
but it struggled in the power bandswhere in the piece to you just
feel like your face is getting rippedoff. And it's just way more fun
to drive, way more fun todrive, I mean in every way.
I mean it sounds better, eventhough the GT three sounds good. I
mean it ReBs high and it's naturallyaspirated, but fuck the Piecetas a twin
(10:43):
turbo revs to eighty three hundred,I mean, you're only getting to nine
thousand out of the fucking GT three. It's not like there's a huge difference.
Now, if it was like theC eight or the turbos that you
know revs to sixty five hundred, yeah, it's a big difference. But
having a twin turbo that revs toeighty three fu in a in cannel exhaust.
It's about fucking nine inches long.Like that thing is a fucking monster.
(11:05):
It sounds good. Rev's high, just the emotion. I mean,
I know everybody's tired of hearing meblow the fucking piece to but it's a
fucking masterpiece and it you know,I sold mine again. I guess this
was during our time off. Isold the piece. I know, I
said I probably never would, butso one of those, um, you
know what I bought it four versuswhat somebody was offering. It didn't make
(11:26):
sense to hang on to it withthat disparity, So I did sell it.
I put twelve thousand miles on it, had a fucking blast, had
it for you know, over ayear and a half, and it just
made sense to sell it. Butum but anyway, it's been you know,
months and months since I've driven it, six months or so, so
I wanted to kind of go backto it and see, like, hey,
(11:48):
do I does does it drive theway I remember? And and I
never tracked it, which I regretthat I didn't, but you know,
having a chance to track a piecethat was like, fuck, I'm gonna
take it while I have the shot. And I took it, and yeah
it's a phenomenal car, no,no two ways about it. Yeah,
Speed Vegas. If you guys areever out there and they are not sponsoring
this, dude's so worth it.Yeah, It's worth every fucking penny.
(12:11):
It's especially if you're one of thosepeople who are on the fence about what
type of car you want to buyto drive. They have? Would they
have eight everything? Yeah? Imean if it's worth driving sports cars wise
they have it, or it couldprobably get it for you to drive.
Yeah, I mean I would.I would say in two ways. If
if you're wanting to get into thesupercar world and you have no idea what
(12:33):
to buy, go there and driveanything that you think you might like.
Um. And what's great about itis that it's basically at your own pace,
but you also have a professional instructorthere with you that's giving you tips
and helping you out and coaching youthrough everything. And they'll be as ingrained
(12:54):
or they'll be as involved as youwant them to be or not. You
know, the more experience you have, the more they're just going to kind
of you do your thing. Ifyou show them you know what you're doing,
and you can talk to them orthey understand. Okay, this guy
you know says in his first rodeo, he knows what he's doing. Like,
they'll they'll give you a little moreleeway if you've never driven. They'll
hold your hand through the whole thingand literally even like they've got their own
(13:16):
break if they need, they'll grabthe wheel and help if you're fucking it
all up, you know. Soit's really really good. But the other
thing too is if if you're intosupercars, you've had a few and you're
curious, fuck do I want tobuy that? You know, supercars,
unfortunately are ones you can't really testdrive them, you know. I mean,
like, I don't know of anyplace that'll let you go test drive
(13:37):
a fucking two hundred thousand and abovecar, at least not from my experience.
You know, it's either a buddylets you drive his or ride in
it with him or whatever. What'sgreat about there is I mean you can
really push it and fucking hammer onit and really get a sense for what
the car is like. So thatplace is awesome. I mean they had
fucking GT Black Series, fucking Ceights GT five hundreds, uh GT three
(14:01):
GT three rs. They hadn't Theyused to have an SF ninety they didn't
there. Then they've got a Pista, they've got four, a D eight
GTB, They've got a four orfive eight Speciality. They've got a fucking
scooter Rhea like they. I meanthey had Sto and all that too,
Yeah, st Sto, couple otherfucking lambosum. Yeah, just a whole
(14:22):
fucking menagerie of different cars. Imean they don't have every single fucking car.
They had a couple of McLarens.I mean that they for sure have
everything that if you want to geta sense for even if you're like,
fuck, I don't even know whatbrand I like, you can go drive
just about every brand that that's worthdriving out there. But they didn't have
any BMWs or Mercedes that I recall. But I don't know that I would
(14:43):
really put any of those in thatcategory either, No other than in the
Black Series and the uh the mggtrsand that. Yeah, but other than
that. Now, I wouldn't takea M five around that track, no,
I mean it'd kind of be funwhen nobody else on it. Yeah,
No, I would and do anM five, I mean, maybe
an M two or an M fourbut yeah, but not yeah, not
(15:05):
a four door. I don't think. Yeah that that place is pretty wild.
Uh, our banker, I don'tknow if he listens to this shit
or not. He actually wouldn't loanme a car until I rented an exotic
and mate, he said, youhave to go to Uh. I ended
up going to Royalty In renting one, and uh. He was like,
(15:26):
I won't. Once I know youwant it, then I'll do it,
he said. But just hey,I found this an auto trader. Can
I have this car? He said? Now we're not fucking doing that now.
Of course he's like, okay, fuck you, just do whatever.
But I did speed Vegas before that, and I was fucking hooked. I
did the four fifty eight and theold GT three one GT three touring and
(15:52):
uh fuck I fell in love withthose cars. Yeah. Just I told
you. When you got back,I was like, that's the only time
of ever got sick. Yeah, that's crazy. And it was a G
four's thing and it was the GTthree that did it. And then I
told you. The instructor was like, oh man, let's get some water
and you can go out. I'lldrive fuck you the fucker. Yeah,
that's a trip. Yeah, it'sa it's a neat, neat experience.
(16:15):
One other thing that they added sincethe last time i'd been there, which
I actually really liked. Um,they had like a test lap where they
would they took us out as agroup, so they do like this safety
brief first, you know where theysay, you know, here's here's the
layout of the track, here's whatthe cones mean, give you some basic
fucking tips on on driving and handlingand corners and blah blah blah. It's
(16:37):
a fifteen minute speel or whatever. And then they took us out in groups
where there's you know, five ofus total, loaded into a Cayenne Turbo
UM and the instructor does one lapnice and slow, just explaining everything and
kind of gives you an intro tothe track so that the first time you're
on it isn't when you're driving. And then the second lap he hammered the
(16:57):
shit out of it, and yourealize very quickly which already knew. I
mean, I've had a Kayenne Turboand we've had RSQ eights and you know,
you name it, but it's justhow capable even an suv can be.
You know, and especially with somebodyreally knows how to fucking drive it
with four other people in the car, it's helpful, you know. And
(17:18):
I think even something as simple asthat one, it makes you more comfortable
when you're driving two. It givesyou an idea of from even your own
confidence, like fuck, if ifyou can do that in this thing,
like okay, I can. Ican jump in this car and push it
a little harder than maybe I wouldhave if I'd never done this before and
we didn't do that test lap, like I think it would, it would
(17:41):
help people's confidence to think, like, hey, you can get in here
and actually fucking push it harder thanyou think. Yeah, And I left
there. Even as much as I'vedriven, you know, I haven't done
a lot of track time. I'vebeen on Eagles Canyon, and you know,
we did the G two thing, which it was just a couple of
intro laps, But even you knowthe amount of driving I've done or done,
you know, I still came awaylike having more confidence, having more
(18:03):
knowledge, a better understanding, andwas even still surprised at how fucking hard
you can push those cars and whatthey'll do before they start to lose control.
And it's just it's fucking staggering, like it does not make sense what
you can do in those fucking thingswhen when there's things put in place,
(18:26):
measures put in place to where,um, you know you can push them,
you know, and there's no speedlimits and yeah it's relatively safe shoulder
wise and what have you. Itwas awesome. So i'd I'd never been
in a supercar until I drove thatfour or fifty eight and all that.
And I'm gonna be honest here,in just a second, I had ZEO
(18:47):
six corvettes all that, I drovethe ship out of those, and I
knew they're limits in a corner, you know, too much power. Those
things are fucking gone spending out.Still fun, but that it was probably
lap three to where my confidence wasfucking here because the first two, you
know, that motherfucker's telling you, okay, okay, you're gonna go You're
(19:10):
gonna go here, and it lookslike you're going off the fucking road and
he's like, okay, hit thebrake, turn left, gun it?
What gun it? Yeah, motherfucker, we're gonna spend tire. No gun
it, you know, And thatfucking your stomach sinks down and you're like,
holy fuck. And then about thesecond second and a half third lap,
I was like, fuck it.Whatever this dude says, I'm gonna
just do it. Yeah, Andthen I think we did a five ride
(19:33):
ten I can't remember, but wewere out there a fucking while. I
got like I said, I gotsick. But like you said, though,
in my mind, my mind wasblocking more of what I could do
versus what that car could do whileI was out there, Yeah, because
it's hard to listen to this dudeover here. Yeah, it'd be like
you and my passing your seat whilewe're doing some of the ship were do
(19:55):
and you're like, okay, okay, push push push, motherfuckers shut up,
you know, but you out oftrust this dude. It's weird.
It's wold. Yeah. I meanthey're there all day every day, Like
they know that track like the back, and they know the cars to feel
I mean everything, you know.So yeah, I mean it's and you
know, like I said, they'llbe they'll be as involved as you want
them to be. I mean, they're they're pretty involved either way really no
matter what. But yeah, Imean they're like break break, break over
(20:18):
here. Hit this shoulder turn now, turn harder, push you know,
gun it to accelerate, you knowwhatever, slow down hard or slow down
hard or shift you know, likethey're telling you exactly what to do.
And you know, I mean I'vedriven at least enough to where like they
didn't really need to tell me whatto do in most cases. But I
still learned something from from being there, and it was still still helpful and
(20:41):
still took you know, things awayfrom it, and it was it was
fun more than anything. But Itold you when you got finished, we
need to go and invite one otherperson and see how fuck that place could
be with us on it. Yeah, no shit, And I do want
to say one thing before we talkabout the piece again. Fuck you guys
that tried tech who keep telling usto rename the show the Pisa Show.
(21:04):
I got a text about that man. Yeah, well I'll call it the
Pieza Shows. Yeah, I suckaround, fuck up my next window tent.
Nah, but uh, they keepcall it the Pisa Show. We
talk about the Pizza because it's thatgood. And if y'all could get your
boss to pull his head out ofhis ass and come drive with us one
day, you'd know what we callwhile we're so hyped on the pista.
(21:26):
Yeah, but Dave's too busy forus. I do want to get into
the g T two RS. Ididn't get to drive it a ton,
did I. I only drove itaround the loop I think a few times
while I was messing with the withthe tune and everything, so I didn't
have a ton of experience. Idid push it through those corners to make
(21:48):
sure, you know, the checkengine light and all that wasn't coming on.
And while some people would be like, oh, you were just pushing
it to see the handling. No, if you've ever which a lot of
y'all haven't ever drove with me orseeing me go, if I don't know
the car, I'll push it tothe limit. I know I'm safe and
I'm not going to fuck up hiscar. But I was pushing enough to
know this motherfucker is glued. Yeah, and uh, what was your thoughts
(22:14):
and your feeling behind the g Ttwo RS. I mean, it's a
phenomenal car. There's no no twoa's about It's a It's a classic,
and you know what, I callit a masterpiece? Maybe probably I mean
it like that. There's there's nothingthat I would say is wrong with it.
No, I got in it feltahead of put myself in the year,
It felt ahead of its time.Yeah, I mean for a twin,
(22:37):
especially for a twenty eighteen. ButI mean, you know, fuck,
that thing is still one of thefastest cars in the Nerve Bird Ring
even still, you know, Imean it's in the in the low six
forties. Uh, It's a phenomenalcar. To me. The the only
issue I had with it and whyI sold it is actually, I guess
there's two issues with it. It'sstill not quite as fast, um in
(23:02):
a straight line as the piece thatwas. It's not like it's way slower.
It's just enough to notice and injust barely, you know. But
UM, to me, you know, that is absolutely a factor. The
other thing is that, um,just like every other fucking Porsche I've driven,
is that there's there's a a sterilityto it that um just kind of
(23:29):
takes the fun out of it,you know. And I know a lot
of people, you know, almosteverybody probably listening would think this fucking dipshit's
calling a g T two rs boring, Like what the fuck does he know?
And that's a fair point. I'mjust telling you from my from my
experience in having one. I puta couple of thousand miles on it.
I had it for you know,a few months, and uh, I
(23:52):
just you know, it just wasn'tas fun again, comparing it to other
things that I've driven, And Iwould even, you know, if I
was comparing it to a seven sixfive LT, nowhere near as fun to
drive as as that, you know, the seven six five LT is way
more fun to drive than a gT two RS. The piece is way
more fun to drive, you know. So it handles phenomenal. Uh,
it's quick, you know, it'sa great car. It's just kind of
(24:15):
boring to me. Yeah, youknow, again, as ridiculous as that
probably fucking sounds, um comparatively,it just wasn't fun enough to keep.
Yeah, And that's the one problemI would say we both have had is
we've been up in this high horsepowerrange. Like when we met. I'm
(24:36):
pretty sure my seven twenty had rightat a thousand horsepower at the time,
a wheel ninety some silly ship. But that was my weekend fun meat car.
That wasn't a race car. Itook it, and I mean,
fuck, we drove the ship out. Well, I drove the ship out.
You drove it a couple of timesaround that same loop, and uh,
(24:59):
I think that's the problem. Though. We both had really really fast
shit and then we're trying to toneit down, so we're trying to find
that happy medium. Yeah, Handlingwise, from what I could tell,
it was probably up there in thetop handling cars that I've drove. No,
absolutely, I mean it it handledat least as good as the piece
(25:21):
to I mean, I would sayup up in the really high top end
range. It's even more planted, you know. To me that that's not
my dig on it. It's noteven that it's not necessarily fast enough.
It it was it was the connectionand the emotion, you know, like,
yes, the piece is a littlebit faster. Is the GT to
R S fast enough? Yes,absolutely it is. I'm just saying that,
(25:45):
like you can you can feel, you know, if you drive them
side by side, the piece thatfeels a little faster. Yea, even
if it's not, it feels faster. Yeah, you know. Now again,
a lot of that I think isjust because of the emotion and the
sound and the enjoyment and you know, what have you. But yeah,
just stacking them next to each other. It just wasn't as as fun,
(26:06):
you know. But driving a straightpiped F eight is the closest I've been
to the pista. And it wasn'tor isn't feel wise because yeah, it
handles close, But that Ferrari wasreally good about not taking the next model
and capping the race model below itthat this car is built off of.
(26:30):
So the F eight, it's likethey're they found that line, and it's
like they're like, hey, goraise that car up about a half an
inch because that's where we need tobe. So it's not that yeah,
you know, and it's it's justenough to where it's not that yeah you
know. And the insulation of course, and inside the cabin quiet down the
(26:51):
ride a little bit. It's morerefined. But to me, that's the
closest I've been in something that I'veenjoyed a lot of driving seat time.
And and then, like I said, the SF ninety just scares the shit
out I mean not for speed oranything else. That's scares the shit out
of me talking about Okay, sohow can I pull this loan off?
(27:15):
It's a s F ninety is agreat car, and I see what it's
capable of. It's bad, motherfucker. The next closest handling to the piece
of though, I gotta say,and some of y'all are going to trip
out. I've owned a shit tonof McLarens. Uh. The six hundred
LT was fucking stupid the way itwould hold the road. I mean,
(27:37):
I would say, if everything you'vegot probably STO though, right, oh
yeah, the STL. And I'lltell anybody, hands down, the STO
would have been the best car I'veowned. But once you start putting what
it takes to get it to thatwheel horsepower that we want dollar for dollar,
it's not worth the money. It'sa fucking fun, nominal handling car,
(28:02):
but the six hundred LT slips ona lot of people, and they're
you know, if you're trying tobe in a cheaper budget and still have
a fun car, that six hundredLT is pretty fun. And remember it's
fucking McLaren though, and it doesn'tcost a lot to h performance wise get
it where it's no it's I mean, you just need downpipes, BMC filters
and a tune from him engineering. All can be done in your fucking own
(28:26):
garage and a good afternoon. Fuck, I think I did the Downpipes BMC
film. I did all that inlike four or five hours. I think
it was cheap fun, but itwasn't for me. It was cool at
night driving that motherfucker watching flame shootout of the top of it. But
the STO is fucking final. Iwill put the STO right next to the
(28:48):
piece of handling. Wise, likeif you stuck them and said okay,
you can only be in these gearsand you can't go above this speed,
I think they would be really backand forth fighting each other. Yeah,
it would probably be the closest mixto handling of the g T two rs
with the pista. But it's justnot fast. Yeah, that was the
(29:11):
only thing. And it's fucking radio. People will say I'm stupid for again,
kind of the silly shit we bitchabout. But if you're spending that
kind of money on something, itshould have a decent radio. They shouldn't
put speakers out of an old fuckingshoe box in that motherfucker. It literally
sounded like solo cups with a stringlistening and everything else about the car.
(29:36):
The bill quality was great. Itwas surprisingly comfortable. Yeah, it was
very comfortable, like it had moreroom than I think any of the other
Hurricanes. I don't driven, andI don't know why. I don't know
if it was the new seat designor what they did there, but it
was fun. The difference in ridequality and just comfort between the Perfamante and
(29:56):
the STO is night and day.Oh it's crazy because we did back to
back that day. Yeah. Yeah, Uh, the Performante is nice,
but the STO was better. Yeah, and for some reason you could see
better out of the STO except forthe back that that was fucking worthless a
rear view mirrors. She had justbeen throwing the funk away because you can't
(30:18):
really see shit. You see acouple of lights. But other than that,
the STO was really good. Um, so far, the F eight
would be my so far, thebest thing I've messed with, I think.
Yeah, the goal one day isto get close to that hypercar level,
(30:40):
and not even if I own it, Like if I could just rent
that motherfucker from somebody for a while, you know, Uh, I want
to put some seat time in ahyper car or something hypercr level. Yeah.
I would say seven twenty with thenine eighty horsepower was really close.
But it's fucking McLaren And it's funnybecause someone with the seven six five was
(31:04):
I mean, you always talking shitabout McLarens, and you've had like five
fucking McLarens as McLarens, and thefucking shot with a fucking oil leak on
a fucking three thousand mile engine.I will say the I'm curious to see
what happens with the seven fifty.Yes when it comes out. I've said
it over and over, I think, and a pisces people off. And
(31:27):
one of the chat groups we're in, I think the seven fifty. The
reason it's gonna be such a greatcar for McLaren is the same reason the
Altea is probably said that wrong. That's the car of Ferrari's old quality control
manager stepped in and he came onboard as the CEO of McLaren now,
(31:49):
and he stopped deliveries and he said, y'all can't deliver any more of these
with my name on them until wefix these issues. And I haven't heard
shit negative about that car now.You don't hear anything. Well. The
seven fifties the first full redesign withhis full name on it, and I
think it's the way McLaren does shitwith horsepower and everything else. I bet
(32:15):
you the numbers or five or tenhorsepower different. I bet it's closer to
five horsepower different than seven sixty fiveDino. Yeah, and bang for your
buck that seven fifty is gonna fuckthe values up of everybody seven six,
five and seven twenties. Yeah,I think it's gonna it's gonna reset and
(32:36):
correct a lot of values in McLarenwide, but the which I think long
term will be good, but inthe short term it's gonna be hard on
people. I want to see wherehe takes McLaren because I've said over and
over McLaren has the potential to bethe best car. To me, I
think it has the potential to bebetter than Ferrari and Lamborghine. With the
(33:00):
way they think about shit, theway they're they can tell you we redesign
this car seventy three point two percent. Where's everyone else? Like, yeah,
man, we did send any fourpercent on that, and they're just
fucking guessing. Yeah. These motherfuckersare so dorky. They will get down
to the fucking decimal point of whatthey're doing to change things. And that
tells you how much they care toget like weight ratios right and everything else.
(33:23):
The problem is they've never had thatguy there to be like, okay,
our electronics suck ass. Yeah, everything else about it. Like when
Audie was looking at buying McLaren,we were both fucking stoked about that.
You put that quality of control withthat fucking car. Yeah. I don't
(33:44):
disagree with any of that, withone exception is that I think the problem
I would still bet that McLaren isgoing to have is lack oh turbo lack.
Yeah, I gotta blow my nosebear with me, folks. Horse
has done a damn good job ofit too in the Nude nine nine twos.
They've done a better job of theturbo lag. But you're right,
(34:06):
I think they're still lagging back comparison, Yeah, comparison. Yeah, but
they're better than McLaren. Yeah, yeah, I think. Yeah, Ferrara
has has the best or does thebest job with no no fucking lag,
no two ways about it. Butit'd be cool to see if they do
now. I do want to seewhat the new Lamborghini does now because it's
(34:28):
still it's still gonna be an NAcar with fucking uh a hybrid assist.
Yeah, but the new Hurricane replacementis supposed to be a V eight twin
turbo. Yeah, we'll see howthat goes. Yeah, you're right.
If they could fix that fucking turbolag in the seven twenties or the whatever
(34:49):
they become, they're gonna add theirquality control. Yeah, because that's that's
the main problem to McLaren. WithMcLaren, to me, the turbo lag,
you can you can cheat the turbolagif especially if you know how to
hit the shifters right and fucking revthe shit out of it, and you've
done it. I've done it.But it sucks because you've got to put
(35:10):
it in your mind to beat theturbolage. But it can be done.
It just puts more work in.But to me, if they fix the
fucking quality of those cars, theelectronics, the fucking fit and finish,
they're beautiful. Yeah, I meanthey're ugly beautiful. I don't think they're
(35:31):
the most sexy car that pulls up, But when you see it, the
design, the shit, the thinkingthey went into to do, just some
of the simple shit, like howthey hide a door handle to get in
that motherfucker. Yeah, you know, I don't like that they shut off
where I can't look at the engine. Yeah. Me, that bothers me,
But that's just me. I wantto see all that shit, you
(35:52):
know, especially if I'm paying forit. I want to see it.
Yeah, I want to have togo to my toolbox to fucking look at
the engine, no doubt. Imean again, that's one of the things
I love about Ferrari is that, you know the engines are They're almost like
they're they're presented to you. Youknow, Okay, I might ask one
more question, and this is gonnabe it for this show unless you have
(36:13):
something else. Weekends is where weget out and have fun, go meet
with other car enthusiasts and whatnot. What's your favorite, the lunch runner,
the meats. M I'm mixed aboutthis, honestly. Yeah, I mean
me too. To me, it'sit's hard to put one over the other.
I like both for different reasons.Yeah, I'm stuck in a seesaw.
(36:37):
Yeah, I mean yeah, likeI wouldn't want to pick one over
the other. Honestly, I likedoing both. You know. It's nice
to go and just drive all fuckingmorning and do twisties and and being a
group but then it's also fun tocannonball run it for twenty twenty five minutes
and then shoot the ship and seea bunch of other cool cars and talk
(36:59):
to people about you know, buildsand fucking whatever, Elise, and then
drive home. You know. Soyeah, to me, it's a type.
I think my perfect month would bemeat meet, lunch run, Meet,
lunch run. Yeah to me,Saturday meet, Sunday lunch run.
Yeah, that'd be a week. That'd be a good fucking weekend because Sunday
(37:19):
there's less traffic and then in thenight with my fucking motorcycle ride or something.
Yeah, fucking around. But yeah, to meet the meat aspect,
I like, it's the same asyou is. That's where we actually get
to meet these people that are carenthusiasts, and it's it's a trip to
see where some of us come from. Yeah, you know, and it's
all walks of life. And that'swhat I think what started this show is
(37:45):
it don't matter what you do.If you're into cars and you're local to
California, fucking wherever you are, find car meets. If you're into cars,
and if you're into this show, you should be into cars and go
realize that the majority of the peoplethat drive those cars aren't douchebags. I
would say. I would say themajority of them are really down to earth
(38:08):
people that just want to fucking talkabout cars. I know, we do
it at gas stations. We letkids in our cars, fucking you know,
get in, do whatever the fuckyou want. Same with a car
meet. That's how most of theseguys are. So there's a lot of
people that are like, man,I'd love to go to a car meet,
and it's dude, just go.Yeah, that's the hardest part.
(38:29):
And even when I got my firstcar to go to a car meet,
because I did car shows for fifteenyears, I would go to those and
I got all this confidence I'm doingcar shows. But when my first meet,
I was nervous as fuck, likethis is my first fucking day of
school, you know, because I'ma fucking plumber. I don't fit in
with that shit. And you know, a year later, I meet Mike,
and fuck, we have shit tonof stuff in common. And that's
(38:52):
just how it's been for I wouldsay both of us. Is we meet
more and more people that have alot of the same ship and interest we
have. It's a trip because fouror five days out of the week,
we're not really fucking with cars. We're fucking with business shit like that,
family stuff. And you start gettingthis group that's going through the same shit
(39:12):
and it's really cool to fucking bea part of and you don't necessarily have
to own a car to be apart of that. Yeah, that's what
I want our audience to realize that, go out, do the shit,
fucking talk to these people. Keepin mind you are going to run across
the ten to twenty percenters that aredouchebags, but for the most part,
everybody's down to earth cool people andjust they just want to talk about their
(39:34):
fucking cars. Yeah, and seesee everybody else. Yeah, you know
what do you want type shit?So that's it for this show. Guys,
We're gonna come back in two weeksand do some more shit. If
you got any questions, asked Uninfluencedat gmail dot com. Other than that,
we'll see you in the next one. Who's bitches Time to time
