Special Podcast Episode Six of the Unionist Central Podcast. This episode takes a look at the notion of cognitive dissonance, and how it relates to morality. This is done by examining two propositions of the trolley problem, and seeing how people's reactions may differ, despite similarities between the two propositions. The video additionally takes a brief look at the history of the problem, and applies the ideas of cognitive dissonance to certain real world situations we may face every day. This video, although giving a good run down of the concept, does not act as a complete or in-depth analysis of the trolley problem. Its focus is on teeing up the first chapter of Society of Reason, which will focus on the source of morality.
