Some seasons break us open completely. Whether it's divorce, losing a parent, or watching a carefully constructed life unravel, these moments of profound grief can leave us feeling hollow and disconnected from ourselves. But what if being cracked open isn't about destruction, but revelation?

This deeply personal exploration navigates the raw terrain of heartbreak and transformation. I share my own journey through the end of my marriage and the devastating loss of my parents, revealing how these experiences stripped away the masks I'd been wearing and invited me into a radical emotional honesty. When life shatters around us, we're forced to confront not just what we've lost, but who we truly are beneath the roles and relationships that previously defined us.

The path through grief isn't linear, and healing isn't a checklist. Through practices like naming your truth without editing it, finding safe witnesses for your story, feeling to heal, and protecting your nervous system, you can begin to breathe again. This episode offers gentle wisdom for anyone navigating a personal devastation: you are not broken—you are being remade. You're allowed to fall apart completely, and you're worthy of rebuilding slowly and beautifully in your own time.

Ready to reclaim your voice and step into the most empowered version of yourself? My coaching spaces are open with a signature program on forgiveness—primarily forgiveness of yourself. Share this episode with someone whose world might be brightened by these words of hope. Remember: stay open, stay radiant, and stay rooted in your own becoming.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Hey, radiant Souls, welcome back to Unleash your
Inner Radiance, the space wherewe let the light back in, even
when life feels anything butbright.
Today's episode is going to bekind of a tender one.
We're going to talk about thekind of moments that break you,
the grief that makes you forgetwho you are, the seasons that

(00:53):
leave you on the bathroom floorwondering how the pieces will
ever come back together.
This one's about divorce, aboutlosing my mom, about losing my
dad, and about what happens whenwe carefully construct a life
and it comes undone.
A life and it comes undone.

(01:23):
This is not all aboutheartbreak.
It's about the rebirth thatfollows, the radical honesty,
the quiet healing and thebecoming.
I remember the moment I realizedthat my marriage was ending.
There wasn't one big explosions, there were many explosions and

(01:44):
just the slow unraveling of twopeople who had grown in
different directions.
Layer that with the deep,soul-ripping grief of losing my
mom a few years later.
And then suddenly I wasnavigating two losses kind of at

(02:07):
once, and the person whobrought me into this world, and
then I also lost the life that Ithought I would be living.
There were nights when Iliterally felt hollow.
I numbed out, I secluded myselfaway from my friends and every

(02:28):
morning I begged for answers orat least a break from the ache.
But here's the thing when lifecracks you open, it doesn't do
it to destroy you.
It does it to reveal you, youto unearth the parts of you that

(03:01):
have been buried under theperformance, under the mask,
under the people pleasing, underthe perfectionism.
It literally invites you intoraw emotional honesty, the kind
that says this is how I'm reallydoing, not the polished version

(03:22):
, but the real one, and that isthe beginning of healing.
Emotional honesty and safespaces are tools, um to help you

(03:46):
reset.
So if you are in a season ofunraveling, I want to offer a
few practices that helped mestart to really, truly breathe
again.
One I want you to name yourtruth without editing it.
I want you to write it, I wantyou to speak it, I want you to
whisper it in the car.

(04:07):
Let yourself say the hardthings without shame, because
there's no shame in them.
Two find a safe witness.
This could be a therapist, alife coach, a best friend, a
sacred community.
You don't need to go throughany of this alone.

(04:29):
You just need to find that onesafe person that you can share
it with.
That will listen with empathyand help you grow from what you
went through.
Three feel the heal.
You need to feel all theemotions that you are going

(04:53):
through, that you have stuffeddown in your body in order to
heal, because grief isn't linear.
Healing isn't a checklist.
I want you to let yourself cry, scream, laugh and be still and

(05:13):
be still.
Trust the emotions.
They are messengers and trustthem as that.
Four protect your nervoussystem.
Go back and listen to a coupleof my past episodes, because

(05:42):
I've been talking about all ofthis and I want you to learn how
to navigate and come back andcalm your nervous system and
bring your nervous system to thepresent moment.
Maybe you're navigating aheartbreak right now, maybe
you're grieving someone whofeels irreplaceable, or maybe

(06:06):
your version of the wake-up calllooks like burnout, chronic
stress or simply realizing thatthis isn't the life that you
want anymore.
Wherever you are, I want you toknow this you are not broken.
You are being remade.

(06:28):
You are allowed to literallyfall apart and you're also

(06:49):
worthy of rebuilding slowly andbeautifully in your own time.
It is really truly time toreclaim your voice, to reframe
all the narratives and all theself-talk in your mind and
everything that has held youback, and this is the time to
literally step into the mostempowered version of yourself.

(07:12):
The most empowered version ofyourself, the most empowered
version of you.
And if you have been looking fordifferent ways to care for your
body while you heal emotionally, make sure you check out my
favorite reset tools in the shownotes, including Nueva's Nitro

(07:36):

Collagen to help rebuild youfrom the inside out.
There is something aboutholistic healing that literally
lights you up from the insideout healing that literally

(07:57):
lights you up from the insideout.
And if you're cravingsisterhood and guidance on this
path, my coaching spaces areopen.
Let's walk through it together.
I've got a signature program onforgiveness and, trust me, the
forgiveness is other people, but, most importantly, the
forgiveness is yourself.
The self-healing is for you,it's not for anyone else, and my

(08:22):
program will take you through, step by step, on how to forgive
yourself.
So if this episode spoke toyour soul, please take 30
seconds and share it withsomeone who needs it.
