What would happen if you treated yourself with the same kindness you show your best friends? Your journey to recognizing your inherent worth begins with a simple yet profound truth: you were born worthy.

For too many high-achieving women, self-worth feels like something to be earned through accomplishments, validation, or constant striving. We deflect compliments with "it was nothing" or "I just got lucky," talk to ourselves harshly when we face challenges, and focus on fixing perceived flaws rather than celebrating our unique gifts. This episode challenges these patterns by offering practical approaches to nurturing self-compassion and recognizing your intrinsic value.

Through exploring four essential self-care practices—setting boundaries, celebrating small wins, surrounding yourself with supportive people, and cultivating kind self-talk—this conversation provides actionable steps toward embracing your worth. The transformation isn't about waiting until you feel worthy; it's about making the courageous choice to believe in your value right now. When you acknowledge your own light, you not only change your personal reality but also give others permission to recognize their brilliance.

Ready to shift your relationship with yourself? Try this simple challenge: the next time someone compliments you, resist the urge to downplay it—just say "thank you" and let those words sink in. Share this episode with a friend who might need this message, leave a review, or connect with me on Instagram to continue the conversation. Together, we can build a community that celebrates rather than diminishes its worth.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey there, radiant Souls, welcome back to another
episode of Mindset Monday onUnleash your Inner Radiance.
I'm your host, lisa, yourCatalyst, life, wellness and
Transformation Coach, and todaywe are diving into something
that every high-achieving womanneeds to master self-worth and
self-compassion andself-compassion.

(00:31):
If you've ever felt like youweren't enough, dismissed a
well-earned compliment or letself-doubt creep in and take up
way too much space in your mind, this episode is for you.
So grab your favorite cup ofcoffee, tea or green juice or
smoothie and let's have a heartto heart about recognizing your
worth and treating yourself withlove and kindness so that you

(00:55):
freely give to others.
What makes you unique andvaluable?
You know we live in a worldthat constantly tells us that we
need to do more, be more, achieve more and be more worthy.
But here's the truth your worthisn't something that you earn.

(01:21):
It is truly something that youown.
You were born with it, period.
So take a moment and thinkabout this.
What makes you uniquely you?
Maybe it's your ability tolight up a room with all of your

(01:45):
energy.
Maybe it's your resilience, orthe way that you keep going
despite all of the challenges.
Or maybe it's your kindness, your wisdom, your creativity.
What about you that no one elsecan replace.

(02:08):
What about you?
Own it, create it, celebrate it, because that's where your
power lies.
That's where your power lies.

(02:31):
Let's talk about the complimentsthat you tend to dismiss.
So raise your hand if you haveever brushed off a compliment
with something like this oh itwas nothing, anyone could have
done that, I just got lucky.
Oh, this was nothing, anyonecould have done that, I just got
lucky.
Oh, this old thing.
Why do we do this?

(02:52):
Why is it so hard to receivepraise without feeling like we
have to qualify it?
Have you ever done that?
Here is a challenge for you,for those who have done that the

(03:19):
next time someone gives you acompliment, instead of
downplaying it, simply say thankyou, accept it, let it sink in,
because those words they're areflection of the greatness that

(03:41):
others see in you.
That's what they are.
So accept them and say thankyou.
Now I want to talk a little bitabout, in follow-up to that,
showing yourself kindness andgrace, because I don't think we

(04:04):
do that enough for ourselves.
We let that sneaky littleself-doubt sneak in, right?
We let it creep in when we'reabout to take a big step, when
you're pushing yourself outsideyour comfort zone, and often we

(04:27):
respond to it with harshnesslike, oh my God, why did I mess
up, or I should be further along, or I'm just not good enough.
I'm just not good enough to dothis.
But let me ask you would youtalk to your best friend like

(04:49):
that?
Would you tell your best friendthat they should really give up
what they're doing becausethey're not far enough along,
because they're not worthy ofdoing it, because they're just
not good enough?
Would you tell them that?
No, you would not.
So why are you telling yourselfBecause I want you guys to try

(05:13):
this instead when we're talkingto ourselves, when self-doubt
sneaks in pause and ask yourselfwhat would I say to someone I
love?
Okay, and then turn those wordsinward, replace self-judgment

(05:36):
with self-compassion and treatyourself with the same grace and
encouragement that you give toeverybody else around you.
Because why would you not dothat?
I know it's really difficultbecause I still struggle with it
, you know.
I mean, getting up here everyday and doing an episode is kind

(05:59):
of like oh, should I keep goingbecause this is not going as
well as I want and you're notgood enough?
But you know what?
I keep showing up and I keepdoing it and then I get done
recording an episode and I'mlike, oh my God, that one's
actually kind of good andthey're getting better right, oh
my gosh.

(06:19):
So what do you love most aboutyourself?
Is it your hair?
Is it your skin?
Is it what?
What your personality?
Is it what?
What your personality, what isit?
So let's flip the script.

(06:40):
Instead of focusing on what youwant to fix about yourself,
let's celebrate what you loveabout yourself.
So think about it.
What is something that you'reproud of?
What's a personality trait thatyou adore about yourself?

(07:02):
What is something that you doeffortlessly that others admire,
that others admire?
Think about those things.
Is it your hair?
Is it your skin?
Is it the way you presentyourself?
Is it the way you light up aroom?
Is it how kind you are toothers?

(07:23):
Because self-love isn'tarrogance.
It's an acknowledgement of yourlight.
It's an acknowledgement of yourlight, and when you recognize
your own brilliance, you giveothers permission to shine too.
So think about the things thatyou love about yourself.

(07:45):
Be more confident, becauseyou're going to bring that out
in other people that are aroundyou.
Self-care let's talk aboutself-care that nurtures your

(08:05):
self-worth.
Let's talk about self-care thatnurtures your self-worth,
because a lot of us strugglewith self-worth and the lack of
self-worth right.
So let's talk about this,because self-care isn't just
about spa days although thoseare nice and bubble baths

(08:27):
although those are really niceand amazing.
It's about taking actions thataffirm your worth.
So here are some.
I want to talk about some waysto practice self-care that will
directly fuel your self-worth,because that is really important

(08:50):
.
There's so many outside thingsthat can really make your
self-worth kind of just comeunraveled or, you know, just
kind of hesitate, and so what Iwant you to, I'm going to give
you four things.

(09:11):
We're going to talk aboutsetting boundaries.
Saying no to things that drainyou is a radical act of
self-love.
So are you doing things thatjust you're just like oh my God,
I don't know why I'm doing that.
Don't do it.
Just set a boundary.
I'm not going to do thatanymore.
Celebrate your small wins.

(09:31):
Every step forward is worthacknowledging.
The more wins that youcelebrate, the more small wins
that you celebrate, the fasteryou're going to expand, because
you're constantly givingyourself that self-love.
Surround yourself with support.

(09:54):
That is number three, becausethe people around you should
reflect your worth.
So choose wisely.
Four speak kindly to yourself.
Your inner dialogue reallytruly does shape your reality,

(10:16):
so make sure it's uplifting.
So now I want to ask you aquestion.
So now I want to ask you aquestion what is one self-care

(10:36):
practice that you can commit tothis week that will reinforce
your self-worth?
Okay, next question If youfully loved and accepted
yourself, what would that looklike?
Imagine waking up every morningand truly believing that you

(10:56):
are enough, because you areenough Just as you are how would
your life change?
Would you chase your dreamsmore fearlessly?
Would you stop apologizing fortaking up space?
Would you trust yourself more?

(11:18):
Let's make that vision areality, because your self-worth
isn't about waiting untilyou're feeling worthy.
It's not.
It is about choosing to believeit now.
So do you believe it?
I think you do, because yourself-worth comes from within.

(11:42):
So if you do all thisself-reflection, you're going to
have the self-worth.
You're going to find it deepinside of you and it's going to
be there and it's going to beamazing.
So, my radiant souls, I hopethat this episode gave you

(12:04):
something powerful.
It gave you some powerful foodfor thought on self-worth and
self-compassion, because I wantyou to remember that you don't
have to do anything to be worthy.
You just have to be so.
Before I wrap up, I'd love foryou to take a moment today and

(12:29):
affirm this I am worthy, I amenough, I am deserving of all
the love and success coming myway.
If today's episode resonatedwith you, let's keep the
conversation going.
