Welcome to "Unmuffled Banter," a podcast where host Joey Misbehaves shares his journey of self-discovery and empowerment, turning adversity into strength and laughter into resilience. Joey has faced the darkest shadows, battled anxiety and oppression, and endured teasing and bullying as a kid for being different. Despite the storm of laughter, he never lost his sense of humor or compassion for others in the face of adversity.
Joey opens up about his struggles with depression, anxiety, and self-harm, as well as his time in a mental institution. He acknowledges the love and support he receives from his daughter, who understands him deeply, and his niece, both champions for his mental health. He credits his wonderful and understanding better half for helping him find direction in life and coping with his mental health issues.
Joey plans to use the podcast as an outlet to share his story, including both deep and lighthearted moments, with the aim of inspiring others and bringing positivity into their lives. Despite his challenges with mental and physical health, Joey embraces life and expresses gratitude for the joy and love he finds in his family.
The podcast ends with Joey expressing love and appreciation for his wife, who has been a pillar of support and compassion in his life. He acknowledges her understanding and acceptance of his disabilities and the joy she brings to his life.
"Unmuffled Banter" seeks to reach out to others fighting their internal battles and create a community of resilience and shared stories. Joey encourages open conversations about mental health and the importance of finding humor and positivity even in the darkest times. The podcast will address serious topics but also offer moments of laughter and light-heartedness.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage
Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
