(00:00):
All right, welcome back to the Unnerved podcast.
This is Chris, and I can't even tell you how weird it is to
actually be on the mic again. I'm pretty rusty, so bear with
me. It's been a while, as you know,
since I've been back, so I'm trying to get used to the whole

(00:21):
recording setup again. It's definitely weird to come
back to, but I wanted to give you guys an update on what is
going on and catch you up to speed.
In the last episode that I released, I mentioned that I
would be taking a break, and that break obviously took way
longer than I expected. So I want to clear some things

(00:46):
up and let you know where I've been, what I've been doing, and
what to look forward to and the future for the podcast.
But before I get into that, I want to send out a special thank
you to everyone on Patreon who has continued to support me.
A lot of people have left, understandably, I haven't been

(01:08):
putting any content out, so thattotally makes sense.
But for everyone that's still been supporting me over on
Patreon, honestly, thank you so much.
You didn't need to. And now that I'll be releasing
more, I'm hoping to make it worth it your time.
So thanks again for for all yoursupport there.

(01:30):
And I wanted to let you know that I have seen your comments
and I really appreciate you guyschecking in to see how I'm doing
and letting me know that you're looking forward to more
episodes. That really does mean a lot to
me. So thanks for for waiting
patiently. And yeah, I've I've some good
news coming up here. So as far as what I've been

(01:54):
doing for the past few months, several months, really a little
background on my situation. I guess I don't like to get too
personal. I guess on the podcast, 'cause
it's not really about me, it's about the people that come on
and share their stories. But a little background on my

(02:15):
wife and I. We, I guess, live nomadically
somewhat, I guess you could say we've lived in a campervan that
we converted for several years. We work remotely online, we
travel, and that's just kind of the lifestyle that we live.
And we upgraded to a school bus,We sold our van and we've been

(02:38):
converting this bus for the pastseveral years.
And it got to a point where we needed help realizing that doing
it just by ourselves was taking way too long.
We realized that we need to hirea builder to help us finish the
project. And we were fortunate enough to

(02:58):
find someone who wasn't too far away from us.
And they were also willing to let me help them help in the
building process. So Long story short, that's why
I took a break. The bus took a lot of time along
with my regular job and it just was too much to do with the

(03:20):
podcast, so that's why I took a break and the bus obviously took
longer than expected. So the bus is now finished and
we've moved into it. It's our new home on Wheels and
it's allowed me to actually havefinally more time that I can
dedicated to the podcast. So in a nutshell, that's what's

(03:41):
been going on and why it's taking so long to come back.
And I wanted to mention also that during the break, my wife
and I found out that we're pregnant.
So yeah, that's a kind of life altering news that we found out

(04:02):
and our first born child is due in July.
And I know I said that, yeah, I have more time now, but that
also is probably going to changea bit.
Having a child is obviously verylife altering and just trying to

(04:22):
figure out how to navigate thosewaters and what not.
I'm I'm terrified, but equally as excited.
We both are very excited. But yeah, life is going to be
crazy and I'm going to try my best even with a child to still
do this podcast. I might need a bit of grace here

(04:43):
and there on release schedule, but I'm still going to try
really hard to release episodes somewhat consistently here for
you guys. So bear with me on that.
And with all of that out of the way, now to give you guys the
update you've been waiting for. Yes, I have been working on

(05:05):
episodes. I've been recording stories, and
I've been editing them as I havetime.
So that's something to look forward to, and I'm excited to
share them with you. I think you guys will really
enjoy them, and I'll do my best to have a fairly consistent
release date. So yeah, we're back, and I'm

(05:26):
excited to get back into it. Again.
Thank you guys so much for your patience.
I'm sorry it's taken this long, but the podcast is going to be
back and alive, so something to look forward to there.
And I also mentioned in the lastepisode that I released that I

(05:47):
would have exciting news to share when I came back.
So I've been working with an artist, Her name is Taryn, and I
will actually put her social media in the description.
If you guys want to go check herout, please do give her a
follow. She's an amazing artist.
And we've been working on an illustration for the podcast,

(06:11):
something that really captures what the podcast is about all in
one illustration. So we've been working on this
for I think well over a year. So it's, it's something I'm
really proud of. She did an amazing job.
She did pretty much all the work.
She was very patient with me andreally helped put what I was

(06:34):
imagining on paper. So we are going to actually use
that piece of artwork for our first merch drop.
So we're going to have stickers,we're going to have T-shirts,
maybe some other items if you guys are interested in actually
having some unnerved True Scary Stories merch.

(06:57):
It feels so weird saying that, but if you guys want to support
the podcast, check that out. And if you actually like the
what we have there, that would be awesome.
But yeah, I'll put the link to the merch store in the
description. We're just going to sell from
Etsy for right now. And yeah, go check it out.

(07:17):
Please go check out Taryn and her work.
Again, very talented and she definitely deserves it.
So with that also as a thank youfrom me to you for supporting
the show and being so patient for more episodes, I want to
send you a gift. It's not much, but it's it's

(07:38):
something. If you guys want a unnerved True
Scary Stories bumper sticker, I'm going to send one to you for
free. I will pay for the postage and
everything. I just want to show my
appreciation for you guys and I will be running this for one
week. I repeat one week only.

(08:01):
So the day this is posted, I'm not sure what day I'm releasing
it yet, but the day I'm releasing this episode one week
after that is as long as this will last.
I want you guys to find me on Instagram at Unnerved Podcast.
Send me Adm with your address and I will get that sent to you.

(08:23):
So yeah, again, just a a thank you gift.
And we're only going to run thisfor one week for that free
bumper sticker. So yeah, just reach out, let me
know on Instagram and I will getthat to you.
And now finally to the burning question that I'm sure all of
you are wondering, when is the next story episode?

(08:47):
Next Monday. We're finally back with another
true scary story. Until then, take care.
