(00:00):
Hey fam!
(00:15):
Welcome to Unrehearsed!
You already know, season finale, woo!
It's your girl, Mo, Motown, Moski, Momentum, MoMagic, the one, the only, Moriana Jack.
(00:42):
And right here we have our sound engineer, our duly beloved Monteho.Ricky.
Follow him on Instagram.
Alright.
Where's, where's Mr. Forrest?
The world may never know, just kidding.
DeSean Forrest, he's working behind the scenes.
The man, the myth, the legend.
(01:03):
You hear about him, you see him, and now he is behind the scenes.
So y'all, we just literally shot a whole second season!
Let us know your thoughts, let us know what y'all think.
Dang, I feel like a lot of things, like by the time all this stuff comes out, we're just
gonna obviously be in different places in our lives, which is like so exciting!
(01:27):
But yeah, so pretty much this last episode, we just checking in, we just checking in,
we letting y'all know like what's going on in our lives, wanna know what's going on in
y'all lives, you know, talking about our growth, you know, some of the things that happened
since the first season was shot, and yeah, so we're just so excited to share, and we're
(01:48):
just so excited to talk about it.
So here we are.
Where are we talking about?
Oh, we're making sure the audience is alright, right?
Was that the purpose?
Where was he?
So, I literally just said it, that's what happened.
I don't know how this is going to be.
No, you know what happened?
Did you see what he was doing back there?
(02:09):
Yeah, he was frolicking.
Literally, my brain went straight there.
Oh, you literally, everything was there?
I was so lost, I'm like...
I was enjoying the show.
Okay, not this show, he was enjoying another show.
Yeah.
They should be here.
They should be here, they should be here.
What did you say?
(02:31):
He said tag in, sorry.
I'm sorry.
Okay, I guess I gotta work after all, darn.
This happens all the time.
You know what?
This isn't the first time that a man has left me, I get abandoned all the time.
So go ahead, come in.
Dang.
That's okay, replace him.
I have no...
Say it!
Say it!
Say it!
Say it!
Say it!
Say it!
(02:52):
Say it!
Say it!
But say the joke.
That hurt me.
That hurt you?
That hurt me.
Say the joke.
It should hurt me, and when I think about it a little bit longer, it will.
Say the joke, just say it.
I be thinking jokes too much, because I'm not gonna say it.
Just say it.
Not on the show, bro.
Nah, yeah.
It's okay, the people won't know.
Even if I bust a say it, we gonna cut that joint out.
Okay.
No, we'll say it again.
That's okay.
That's okay, I'm fine.
Okay, Mo, we love you.
None of us are gonna abandon you over here at unrehearsed.
(03:13):
Thank you.
I've heard it before.
I'm scared.
Wow.
I take it back.
Do you have another joke, though?
So, the title of this episode is Where Are We Now?
Yeah.
And as you can see, Mo still has some healing to do.
Yeah.
(03:34):
No, like, legit still have healing to do.
Let's start off with that.
Oh, man.
Is this mic set up right?
Okay.
Are you set up right?
Oh, yeah, I was trying to get it to where it doesn't look like it's set up right.
Oh, yeah, I was trying to get it to where it doesn't, like, drop anymore.
Okay.
But I think we straight.
You be dropping into the clap?
What does that mean?
I don't know what that means.
We're not gonna get into it.
Never mind.
I don't know.
This is a family-friendly show.
(03:55):
Yeah, I'm so sorry.
Dropping into the clap is friendly.
What does that mean?
That was the joke.
Yeah, that's why I'm like, what does that mean?
I was like, you be dropping into the clap, too.
Yeah.
It's like in the song, it's like, drop into the clap.
Anyways, it doesn't matter.
Oh, again.
You know what I'm talking about?
Oh, yeah, that's the boom.
Anyways.
So he doesn't be dropping into the clap to make it clear, ladies and gentlemen.
(04:17):
I drop nothing but the beat in my production.
Ooh.
Ooh.
I don't know if we're gonna get through this episode.
I don't know either.
I'm not gonna lie.
Right, to like, ooh.
Yeah.
Yeah.
How are you?
(04:38):
I'm good.
Where are you now?
Are you okay?
We shot a whole second season.
I know.
That's crazy.
Remember when we shot the finale of our first season?
I know.
That's crazy.
Honestly, I feel really great.
Now we did it again.
I feel really great.
I do feel that season, too.
I got to see a lot of just like, I mean, honestly, just our growth of people, like I do feel
(05:00):
that people, people, I thought our growth.
So I did.
Yeah.
Like just like with everyone though, you know, like Ricky coming on the team.
Shout out Ricky.
Shout out to Ricky.
Shout out to Brandon.
Shout out to DeShawn.
Shout out to Mo.
Myself.
Shout out Josiah.
Josiah.
You know, who else?
Who edits?
Who else edits?
(05:21):
Shout out Chris.
Shout out to Chris.
Sorry.
I run through the whole thing.
Shout out Ricky.
Shout out Mo.
Shout out myself.
Shout out Brandon.
Shout out Chris.
Shout out Josiah.
Shout out Mr. Jermaine.
Jermaine.
Uncle Jermaine that came through, came through for the last episode.
Shoot, what was that?
The corn episode.
(05:42):
Yeah.
Corn.
I mean, his presence, just him being on set was absolutely amazing and brought our life
here.
And I was like, wow.
I wasn't, I wasn't, you know, that was my first time meeting him.
You know, I, it was solely on the word of Mo.
So it's not like I was able to like fill him out beforehand.
I was like, wow.
He really is incredible.
I know.
(06:03):
Dude is genuine, bruh.
It's amazing.
I know.
He is.
Like, okay.
I like this.
So shout out Ricky.
I wish you guys could see how, see, cause obviously you guys only see me and Mo or Ricky if he's
on camera, but if only you guys could see just like the technical set up.
You could see a little bit.
You see how the mics are different now.
And then we got different angles.
We didn't have different angles first season.
(06:24):
Not like how we wanted to.
But we got different angles this season, different angles this year.
We got better sounding audio and man, this is just like, it's.
Wow.
How are you feeling?
I mean, I'm proud.
I'm happy.
Like we really took it up a notch for the second season.
Yeah.
And like it's growing.
There's definitely other ideas and there's a long-term vision I see for it, but I understand
(06:48):
it's baby steps, but it's like, we made really great strides and stuff.
I didn't necessarily see coming.
Like, yeah.
I know Ricky coming through with the audio in a way that he did and he's part of the
team for sure.
Part of the team.
And then like we had, we had panels this year, bro.
We had guys only edition.
We had the gals only edition, you know, and for me, for the, for the, for the ladies only
(07:15):
since obviously that's ladies only, I would say we take that episode off.
But I was behind the scenes behind the cameras, just working, making sure everything is cool.
And it's like, dang, yo, this is like, I feel like it's really like something special.
Yeah.
It's like, you know, everyone that kind of runs through here, runs through the set and
just kind of, whether they just sitting there watching or they're playing a part like Ricky
(07:36):
or they're just coming through for the one time, like how Jermaine was doing, Mr. Jermaine
was doing, they all, everyone is saying similar things.
And I'm like, I'm going to keep a note of this.
It's like, okay, we might be onto something.
Yeah.
We are.
Two seasons in.
I'm so glad I'm happy.
And the fact that we did it again, I was there as one thing to do it the first time is great,
(07:58):
but to like, to stay consistent with it and do it again and to do it twice as, twice as
much.
I mean, last season, we released eight episodes, you know, this season we saw, we shot twice
as much.
Hopefully everything goes well in post to all of those episodes to come out.
We shot another episode on the fly just a minute ago.
Anybody playing that?
That's unrehearsed.
(08:19):
That is finest right there.
Right.
It's like we shot a little, little something that just kind of happened.
It was just a genuine conversation.
And then I was, we were just like, record.
Okay.
Just keep talking.
You know, it was amazing.
So I'm grateful.
I'm appreciative of all of everyone here, especially you.
I joke that this is Mo's show because it is.
(08:41):
I can't stand y'all.
But you know, I'm appreciative of her.
Just, you know, there is no unrehearsed without Mo literally.
You take, you take Mo out.
All of unrehearsed is gone.
You take Mo out and it's forever an idea in my head.
Aw, stop.
(09:02):
Literally.
No actual execution of such if Mo is not around.
Well, it's been a pleasure knowing you and, you know, being your business partner.
Season three, probably not going to, no, I'm just kidding.
I'm kidding.
I just, I didn't know how to tell you.
Just kidding.
Yeah, it's been great.
It's just been a great ride.
(09:24):
I just love this platform.
I love that we're able to unpack a lot of things.
And I like that we're talking about things that not a lot of people are talking about.
I do feel that we're touching on subjects that maybe, whether it's just like skip the mind,
but I do feel that our subjects can get really deep, like very fast, which is great,
which is great because we're having honest conversations.
(09:45):
I love again, we are transparency, you know, so I just love the transparency that we do have inside
of every episode that we come to, you know, and yeah, and I really hope that you all have enjoyed
the second season.
Where are you in your life right now?
What's going on?
Obviously, you're going to be in a completely he's going to be like in a completely different,
you know, space and time, you know, as these come out.
(10:08):
But where are you right now?
Like what's been going on?
Yeah, well, that's the world today.
Sean, that's the plan.
As you all know, all of these episodes are pre-recorded.
And so by the time it actually comes out, this is live.
But by the time these come out, you know, life changes, things change.
And, you know, but I'm doing really well.
(10:31):
You know, we've I mean, maybe on season three, actually, I hope and pray I believe this would be the case.
But, you know, hopefully on season three, I'll be able to explain it a little bit more.
But there's been a plan that's been in place and now all of that stuff has been happening while we've been shooting
and while we've been doing other stuff behind the scenes with other aspects of the business.
(10:55):
And so far, I can say things have been going according to plan.
Come on.
It's a new experience.
So I haven't been where I am before.
Such as life, you're growing, you know what I mean?
And so hopefully in season three, you know, I could actually explain it a little bit more
and just kind of not be as like vague or like mysterious with it,
(11:16):
but actually be straightforward to see everything that we can show you or, you know,
explain more of everything that's been going on behind the scenes and, you know, and explain why it's like, OK,
we drop a season and then we got to kind of go and do focus on some other stuff, kind of regroup,
take check some boxes elsewhere to kind of come back to another season and then just kind of explain why things are in cycles here.
It's like there's a music cycle, music done.
(11:38):
OK, now it's a podcasting cycle. Podcast is done.
Now it's a music cycle.
Yeah. So but other than that, I've been real good.
I can't I'm happy, bro. I can't complain about a thing, bro.
Like, God, it's been good to me.
Everything has been happening according to plan, according to according to how, you know,
we spoke over my life and and the show has gotten better.
(12:00):
Hi, Joe Papa.
You need to leave.
Oh, my car. OK, bet.
I'm going to just go home.
I was literally like, OK, thanks for coming, guys.
Sorry. No, it's OK. I'm sorry.
It's like they came early. I didn't think to move the car after.
(12:22):
OK.
(12:47):
Yeah, but that's how I'm doing.
I'm doing really great. OK. I mean, everything is everything as well.
Can't complain. You. I'm doing really good.
I'm finishing up last semester of community college.
Thank you. Standing ovation.
Just kidding. We endorse education here.
We do. But I'm finishing up my last semester of community college
(13:11):
and then I'm going to transfer to the big uni.
I'll let you know when I get in. OK.
And so, yeah, but I've just been writing a lot more.
For those of you who don't know, I don't know if we actually have if I've actually said it on the podcast,
but like I do a lot of poetry and so I just feel that I've been writing a lot more.
I mean, we've joked about it last episode and maybe in a couple of episodes,
(13:36):
but I really am going through just like healing from just a lot of stuff that I'm not going to get into right now.
But yeah, but I really am. I'm just on finally started this healing journey and it's really it's freeing.
Like it's very, very, very good. I do feel that I'm in just a better place in my life
and just really ready to continue to grow, continue to learn more about myself, become more self-aware.
(14:00):
Yeah. And just continue to bring a lovely and beautiful impact to the world, because that's also important to me.
So, yeah, good. Has the writing, has it helped you?
So for those that don't know, I, you know, kind of because I obviously I'm not right.
So I do a lot of writing to a lot of journaling, a lot of songwriting and other forms of writing.
(14:21):
And so one of the things I encourage Mo to do is just kind of like write about the stuff that she's kind of dealing with.
Has that helped? That's helped a lot. Yeah, that's has helped.
It has helped a lot, a lot. Yeah, it just helps me to process because I realize sometimes journaling
isn't easy for easy for me, but I can write a poem.
(14:43):
Like, so it's just easier to write about my feelings in a poem.
And then I also feel like it just gives me like such a like smooth way to articulate how I'm feeling.
And then I'm able to, you know, share with other people, you know, and I just yeah.
So anyways, so yeah, so writing has been writing poetry has been very helpful.
(15:05):
And I've been like sharing poetry with different like friends and like family members.
And that's just been and that's been helpful, too, because I feel like that.
That's been helpful, too. Sorry.
It's been helpful to some people start tearing up.
(15:26):
No, it's because I went like I heard my son do a deep like.
Right. And I was like, can I do it again? Like I was just anyways.
Anyways, so yes, people, all that poetry has been lovely.
Actually, I haven't. You know, I take that back, though, because like I have shared some.
But I do feel that as of lately, I've been writing a lot more raw.
(15:50):
And like, and it's to the point where I'm like, dang, like, I actually don't think I would share that because that's a little that's a lot like a lot.
As in like, wow, like you really don't have to like know me, know me for me to like not even know me, know me, but like just.
Yeah, I understand. They got to know, you know, it's just like, man, like I got to really be like, hey, like, really here.
(16:11):
Yeah. For me to share some of that stuff, because I was like, dang, like, that's really that's in there.
So the depths of more. Yeah. Incoming poetry book.
I don't know. Maybe, maybe. Honestly, I would say so. I would really not me, Sutter.
And I would really love to. I really love to make a.
(16:37):
To make a poetry book, but just more about my childhood. Yeah, I really want to like write for Little Mow.
Like, that's what I would love my first book to be about.
And maybe even just like a heck of like nobody saw my idea.
Just kidding. But yeah, but that's just my future goal to write a poem, just starting off with like Little Mow
and then just starting off with kind of like teenage and middle age years, because I do feel like during that time, like one,
(17:00):
like I was if you watch the porn episode, you know that I was talking a lot about like, you know,
not communicating my emotions and things like that.
So I feel like now that I'm older, like I can actually articulate words for some things.
Yeah, because, you know, some like some crazy stuff did happen to me, like even again in the porn episode,
the last episode that we had, like I was also just talking about like how I was molested and things like that.
(17:22):
And a lot of people don't know that, like they probably would just be shocked to hear like, what do you mean?
Like this was happening and it was like, yes, this is happening.
And I was smiling on the outside the whole time and like, you know, nobody knew nobody had any idea.
So, yeah. So anyways, yeah. My boy, Chris, he, I can, but there's plenty of episodes where I'm like, man,
(17:46):
if you're not awake, you're going to be awake at this part.
Yeah, literally.
It's like a jump scare, bro.
I know. Can we have him record him like editing so that we can see his reactions?
It's like a jump scare. Shout out to Chris, bro. We love you.
Yeah, thank you.
But now that's good, though. That's good.
I mean, if you were, because I've been, I've been buying up poetry books, like they're right as a place.
(18:11):
I've been reading a lot of poetry books and writing my own poetry as well.
Something aside from music. So it's a different it's a different form of writing.
It hits and connects different. So all that to say if if Mo dropped a poetry book or collection,
not even necessarily have to have a recurring theme.
But if there was just a collection, I'd copy it because I've heard I've heard I say this because I heard more poetry before.
(18:36):
It's like, whoa, snap. Yeah, I'm not a light writer at all.
I'd be writing, y'all. Look, I was 14 writing like a poem called Careless.
I don't even know where that came from. Like, literally don't know.
But should we have a poetry episode? We should. Let's do it.
That'd be fun. Poetry Night at unrehearsed. That'll be the title of it.
(18:59):
It's poetry night at unrehearsed. It may be like a whole event.
A whole little occasion. We all fancy, schmancy charcuterie board. Finger food, finger food.
You said it so perfectly. I don't even know how to say it. Charcuterie board.
Yeah, like the board of all of them little rich crackers and little cheese squares.
(19:20):
I don't want to know.
I would be down for that. I would be actually pretty dumb like a special edition of poetry night.
Wait, but you'd actually perform?
Oh, man. You would. I'd probably read something.
Okay, you could read. I don't know if I'd do it all.
(19:41):
So then you can go first so you don't feel intimidated.
I have no idea. I wouldn't mind like emceeing, but I probably wouldn't be the one to do it.
Do what? Emceeing, hosting.
Yeah, no, I wouldn't mind it, but I probably wouldn't be the one to do it.
Yeah, but I could do it though. I mean, we could ask Mama Tiff.
(20:02):
Yeah, shout out Mama Tiff by the way.
Mama Tiff. She'd be down. She'd be like, I would love to.
Yeah, it's okay. I was like, what?
Yeah, but that's good though. I'm glad you are healing. Yeah, definitely.
Healing is an ongoing thing.
It is. It is. And we were talking about that. But when you said it, I was like, no, that's true.
(20:23):
But like as of recently, I've been like, wow, healing is freedom.
And I think it was a lot scarier in my head. But then when I finally started doing it, I was like, dang.
It's not so bad.
It's not so bad. It's not.
Yeah.
Beginning to learn a lot.
We don't get nothing from this second season of Unrehearsed.
Get healed.
Healing is an ongoing thing.
Yeah.
(20:44):
You know, some things are, certain things, everyone's different, so it's case by case.
But some things you get over it and okay, you're actually good.
You ain't got to worry about that no more. Other things, it's like, man, I kind of have to keep healing.
Yeah.
I have to kind of keep.
Because there's layers, as you say.
There's layers to it. So it's like, I have to keep saying no or keep being disciplined or keep healing.
(21:06):
You know, if I was to say, man, if you get anything from Unrehearsed for the second season,
without giving it much thought, I would say that it's ongoing.
But God is there throughout the healing process.
He draws near to those of a broken heart.
Yeah. Amen.
What's that, Psalm 34? Yeah.
What would you say if there was something that you would be like, audience, for the second season of Unrehearsed?
(21:31):
I want the sun.
I'd want you.
I should go home and sleep.
Sorry, I know you're trying to look out for Brother Man's face. Are you okay?
Oh, man, I appreciate that. I'm good. I like the, you know, man, the glow and the whatnot.
I was like, I'm so cold tonight.
I'm cool with the glowing, you know what I mean?
I know he was looking out for him.
I was like, I'm freezing.
It's kind of like I know.
(21:53):
Fanning a fart.
Yeah.
What would you say if you have to say, OK, out of out of unrehearsed season two,
I will want you to at least get this out of it because we hit them with twice as many episodes.
So that's what's a good takeaway.
(22:15):
I'm not even going to lie.
I'm not going to lie.
We've had a lot of great episodes, but like the one that obviously I was like most touched and passionate about was like the porn episode.
So like my greatest takeaway was phenomenal.
So yeah.
So my greatest takeaway would just be to would just be that God's children aren't for sale.
Like we do need to do our part in stopping to help build and fund this billion dollar like billions upon billions of dollars industry.
(22:47):
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that was that would be my like if you didn't like literally if you don't take anything else away, just like really getting help for like addictions,
specifically with like porn and masturbating and finding an accountability partner.
And yeah.
And just like allowing yourself to have a clean mind, clean heart, all that good stuff.
(23:11):
So that would I would say that would be my greatest like desire if I could like give you all something to take away.
Yeah.
Man, think about it.
It's a lot of takeaways from this season covered a lot.
We talk about we talk about what we talk about.
We talk about fathers, we did a Father's Day episode unintentionally.
We shot that a minute ago.
It may not seem like a minute to go to y'all, but for us, it's been a minute.
(23:35):
It'll probably be a whole nother Father's Day pass by the time I have a good episode.
And I would have you know, like I cried in that episode.
If you didn't see it, just go back.
I was like, I cried because I was like, I wasn't I hadn't started my healing journey yet.
I just go back clicks off and comes back to this.
(23:59):
Yeah.
But I hadn't started my healing journey then.
But I have now.
So I definitely was like very hurt in that episode.
It was very evident and obvious and like it was just hard to talk about.
But yeah, I know I'm getting better.
Yeah.
Like that's healing for you.
We have that one.
What episode did we do?
We have that one.
(24:21):
Honestly, it's been a minute.
I really appreciated the guys and the girls only ones.
Oh, yeah.
Does the guy does the guy exist?
Does the guy exist?
Does the girl exist?
Does the one exist?
I appreciate those special editions.
Those were something that we had talked quite a bit about behind the scenes of trying to do.
And it was just a matter of executing.
That's another thing.
It's like stuff for I get these ideas or we get these ideas like, okay, we got to do something like that.
(24:45):
Let's try it.
I'll be like, okay, we never done this before.
So we do it and it just work out like it does from the from the pornography episode that we talked about.
I mean, you know, we had been trying to figure out a way to do it for a while.
We didn't know where it was going to go.
Yeah.
Shout out to Jermaine again for being here for that joint that episode.
I was like, wow, I didn't see that coming.
(25:07):
But I didn't think it was going to be that dope.
And then the guys and the girls only edition was like, wow, we really did this joint again.
We did. We did.
Come on.
We're going to be back for another season for sure.
Yeah, we are.
Season three.
Wow.
We're going to be such different people by the time that comes.
Isn't that crazy?
Like, that's the craziest part.
(25:28):
Yeah.
Where we are right now today in our lives, like we're just we're not even going to be there by the time we start shooting season three.
What's our time on there?
It's about to die.
Okay.
Well, this wasn't intended on being a super long episode.
Yeah, it wasn't.
I know we're probably going to have to cut out a lot because I think sometimes I just know it's good.
We miss most platform.
We like keeping it all in there.
(25:51):
Oh, you know what I'm saying?
Sometimes you know, you don't probably even say that.
Like, you know, sometimes when you get going, he just steps back.
And like I've noticed, like I've learned that doing, you know, unrehearsed, like, okay, most she's step back.
I think that pornography episode, I step back.
Let her do her thing.
So start a show.
(26:12):
We appreciate all the opportunity.
We know this one was probably our quickest episode ever.
