Matthew, chapter 7.
Judge not that you be notjudged, for with the judgment
you pronounce you'll be judged,and with the measure you use it
will be measured to you.
Why do you see the speck thatis in your brother's eye, but do
not notice the log that is inyour own eye?
Or how can you say to yourbrother, let me take the speck

(00:33):
out of your eye, and when thereis the log in your own eye, you
hypocrite?
First take the log out of yourown eye and then you will see
clearly to take the speck out ofyour brother's eye.
Do not give dogs what is holyand do not throw your pearls
before pigs, lest they tramplethem underfoot and turn to
attack.
You Ask and it will be given toyou.
Seek and you will find.

(00:53):
Knock and it will be open toyou, for everyone who asks
receives.
The one who seeks, finds.
And to the one who knocks itwill be open.
Or which one of you, if his sonasks him for bread, will give
him a stone, or if he asks for afish, will give him a serpent.
If you, then, who are evil,know how to give good gifts to
your children, how much morewill your father, who is in
heaven, give good things tothose who ask him.

(01:16):
So whatever you wish thatothers would do to you, do also
to them, for this is the law.
And the prophets Enter by thenarrow gate, for the gate is
wide, the way is easy, thatleads to destruction.
And those who enter by it aremany, for the gate is narrow and
the way is hard.
That leads to life, and thosewho find it are few.
Beware of false prophets whocome to you in sheep's clothing

(01:37):
but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
You will recognize them bytheir fruits Are grapes gathered
from thorn bushes, or figs fromthistles.
So every healthy tree bearsgood fruit, but the diseased
tree bears bad fruit.
A healthy tree cannot bear badfruit, nor can a diseased tree
bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not beargood fruit is cut down and
thrown into the fire.

(01:58):
Thus you will recognize them bytheir fruits.
Not everyone who says to me,lord, lord, will enter the
kingdom of heaven, but the onewho does the will of my father,
who is in heaven.
On that day, many will say to meLord, lord, do we not prophesy
in your name and cast out demonsin your name and do many mighty
works in your name.
And then will I declare to themI never knew you.

(02:19):
Depart from me, you workers oflawlessness.
Everyone, then, who hears thesewords of mine does them, will
be like a wise man who built hishouse on the rock, and the rain
fell and the floods came andthe winds blew and beat on that
house, but it did not fallbecause it had been founded on
the rock.
And everyone who hears thesewords of mine does not do them
will be like a foolish man whobuilt his house on the sand and

(02:42):
the rain fell and the floodscame, the winds blew and beat
against that house and it fell,and great was the fall of it.
And when Jesus finished thesesayings, the crowds were
astonished at his teaching, forhe was teaching them as one who
had authority and not as theirscribes.
This is the word of the Lord.
