In one of the darkest caves of David’s life, we find one of the clearest revelations of character. This powerful message explores how godly character isn’t forged in the spotlight but in the shadows—when no one’s watching, and when the opportunity to compromise is greatest.
In this sermon, Pastor James D. Gailliard teaches from 1 Samuel 24, where David has a chance to take revenge on Saul but chooses mercy instead. Through this text, we’re challenged to:
🔹 Refuse the Permission to Sin (vv. 1-7)
➡ Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
“Opportunity does not equal Authorization.”
🔹 Respect Position over the Person (vv. 8-15)
➡ Even when people act wrong, their God-given role still deserves honor.
“Authority doesn't require Agreement.”
🔹 Release Your Right to Revenge (vv. 16-22)
➡ Let God handle what your heart wants to hold.
“Character outlasts Conflict.”
🕊️ Mercy isn’t weakness—it’s evidence of maturity. If you’ve ever been tempted to retaliate, compromise, or take matters into your own hands, this message is your spiritual check-in.
📌 Be inspired to let your private decisions reflect God’s public calling on your life. True greatness isn’t found in getting even—but in giving grace.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
