Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome to US
Phenomenon, where possibilities
are endless.
Put down those same oldheadlines.
It's time to expand your mindand question what if?
From paranormal activity toUFOs, bigfoot sightings and
unsolved mysteries, this is USPhenomenon?
Speaker 2 (00:22):
From the Pacific
Northwest in the shadow of the
1962 World's Fair, the SpaceNeedle.
Good evening, good morning, good afternoon wherever the case
may be for you on God's greenearth.
I am your host, mario Magana.
This is US Phenomenon andwelcome as we get close to the
end of Holy Week.
For those in the Christianitycommunity, tomorrow morning kids
(00:48):
will wake up and for some ofyou it's just another day.
But for those that arecelebrating, tomorrow will be
Easter Sunday.
For some of you, across all ofour platforms, whenever you may
listen to this radio show, maybeit is an easter, maybe easter
has already passed or it wascoming up, or yes, it just
(01:09):
depends on where you're at, withone of our radio stations or if
you're listening via thepodcast.
We appreciate it.
Thank you so much for uhsharing this time with us and
sharing holy week with us, asalways.
I mean, it is a time of, ofrenewance, and which is always a
great time of year to you know, having spring here and as we
(01:33):
navigate through this time ofyear, it's a renewance for those
in the community, for thosethat are Christian and for some
who aren't.
You know, maybe you're atheistor whatnot, and you celebrate.
Maybe you go easter egg hunting.
I I've always never been a fanof going to easter egg hunts uh,
(01:56):
via my past traumas, not thatanyone cares to hear about it,
but yes I, I remember being akid going through, like des
moines over there by thewaterfront and going to the
Easter egg hunt.
And you know, going through theDes Moines park there and
hanging out It'd be wet and dampfrom the dew of springtime and
(02:19):
going to go, you know, waitingfor the whistle to be blown so
we can all run to grab eggs.
And there's little Mario withall his little hair slip, fall
and hit the pavement well, notthe pavement but the grass and
just be all wet and soggy andtears coming, big tears coming
down, maybe six eggs.
(02:41):
Just a travesty as a little boyto go on an Easter egg hunt and
trying to find those eggs.
Do you remember those times?
Maybe you were way more luckythan I was during the Easter egg
hunts of your time.
You remember those?
Send me a text.
775-990-5151.
(03:01):
I just never was a fan of goingto.
I mean, I even as an adulttaking my child, who now is too
old to go to easter egg hunts.
But again, very, very lucky tohave spent some really awesome
times and it made some reallygreat memories with her going to
different easter egg hunts youknow, in west seattle, the high
(03:23):
u?
Um over there in the in thatarea, playing with the little
kids, or even going to thethrift way uh easter egg hunt,
which is one of the big ones inwest seattle um, or even at the
old retirement home before, uh,it turned turned into ages of
living off of Admiral Way, therewas a really fun little Easter
(03:47):
egg hunt that Sophia and I wouldgo to.
So if you're out there, maybeyou're getting ready to hide
your eggs, or maybe you'reoutside late at night this
evening hiding eggs for yourkids.
Good luck, remember where youplaced all those eggs and
remember at least we stoppedhiding real eggs out there
because those became stink bombs.
(04:08):
Remember those days when, backin the 80s and 90s, when your
parents would like hey, hidereal eggs out there.
Oh, that was always a treat.
They're like did you find themall?
How many eggs do you have?
Nope, there's still like sixmore out there.
You're like well, I don't havethem, I don't care.
And your parents are like no,you need to find them, you're
the ones that hit them.
(04:28):
Well, maybe go check in thatarea, do you remember those days
?
Well, as we continue tocelebrate Holy Week here for
those who are partaking, let'sremember that Palm Sunday,
through Easter, tomorrow Sunday, marks the final.
This is the final days of HolyWeek and the rise of the
(04:51):
resurrection of Jesus Christwill happen, and remember the
celebration of what was HolyThursday is when Jesus Christ
had his and his disciples hadtheir last supper.
During that meal, jesus Christwashed their feet, if you
(05:15):
remember those days, and as weall know, tomorrow we will
observe Easter and celebrate theresurrection, symbolizing hope
and redemption for Christiansaround the world.
So tonight, or wherever thecase may be for you, as you're
listening to this via thepodcast, or maybe you're well,
(05:37):
you're not watching becausethere is no visual this time,
not on this show.
Tonight we're going to focus onlisteners, viewers, listeners
of the show, who have sent ustext messages that have been
piling up, and we're going toget to those text messages to
share their stories, and that'swhy we're here.
We're here for you and maybeyou have a story you'd like to
(06:00):
share with us 775-990-5151.
You know, as we, you know, ponder through life and continue
to be like man.
What, if you know?
I just I love this time of yearspring, the air.
Did you go to the spring fair?
Did you go down to theWashington State Fair?
For all of us who areWashingtonians, the spring
(06:25):
Puyallup fair, as I do my airquotes come on.
I mean, I know it's theWashington state fair, the
Washington state spring fair, but if you're from here, you
still call it.
You know the spring fair and wehad a chance to do that over
the week.
Uh, you know, we had a chanceto go check out the spring fair,
um, you know, we had a chanceto go check out the spring fair.
(06:46):
Um, stopped by the booth andhung out for a little bit as
well.
So, if you don't, tomorrow isthe last day of the spring fair.
So, depending where you're atnow, this is the end of the uh,
the washington state spring fair.
So we we definitely had a goodtime as a family doing that
together.
We will not be doing an easteregg hunt.
We're too old for that, um.
So, uh, hopefully kids aren'tlistening to me like, what do
(07:09):
you mean?
We're too.
Your kids are too old for that.
Yeah, they are.
Well, at least she is, um, butstill enjoys receiving a easter
basket.
I mean, isn't always nice toget an easter basket?
Yeah I?
I think so.
Uh, you can send your text inwith your stories.
We do have a ton of them thathave piled up 775-990-5151.
(07:33):
How have you been doing?
How's life?
I mean it has been aninteresting time.
A lot of people have been reallysick lately, right, I mean I
know that I have had some reallybad.
I think I had a really bad coldthat either I caught from
somebody else, had the flu, youknow, got the why didn't you get
(07:55):
your flu shot?
Type of situation.
And yeah, you know it's likewhen are you supposed to do that
?
You know.
So for those that I mean Ihadn't really gotten a flu shot
in such a long time, you knowit's always been hit or miss and
you know when is the right timeto actually get a flu shot, if
that's what you're into, thatkind of thing.
(08:16):
So, yeah, we're going to getthrough our text messages.
We do have some voicemails thatwe'll get through as well.
We do have some voicemails thatwe'll get through as well.
So you know, it's funny when wetalk and sit and have a
conversation about paranormalexperiences.
I don't really have any thatcome to mind, although, when I
(08:59):
was living with my fiancé at thethe time and I was doing that
story or we did that interviewthat you know, we I don't even
know if it actually made it onair because there were some
anomalies in the podcast or inour recordings with them that
showed up and it was likesomeone else was talking in the
background.
So we were doing because of thetime schedule, we couldn't get
them to do the show with us, sowe had to record them.
And what's so interesting to meis I went back and listened and
none of the audio.
You could definitely hear afaint voice in the background
(09:25):
talking while we were talking oranswering questions as we were
talking.
Just very intriguing to me.
I was like man, maybe I shouldplay this, but it being so
meticulous about, I was like oh,we can't use this audio.
We can't use this, but we shouldhave.
I probably scrubbed it.
(09:45):
It's probably no longer around, but I I that was probably my
only encounter.
And then, coming downstairs, myfiancee at the time said, oh,
that picture fell off the wall.
I was like what are you talkingabout?
Yeah, that thing, that picturefell off the wall.
I was like what?
At the same time I wasinterviewing these ladies and
(10:06):
they were called the ghost girls.
Um, they, they've done a ton oftv on you know, bravo, and
things of that nature and uh, wewere trying to book them to
have them come back.
But, man, what an interestingstory.
And that was probably myclosest encounter to someone of
(10:27):
the extraordinary or paranormalworld.
But I've never had like anencounter.
I know I've been in rooms likeat the historical Everett
Theater, where I felt something, you know, and it was like no,
it was not the HVAC system, it'shard to describe, but it felt
like this cold thing came, notlike you felt it, but it's
(10:52):
almost like it felt it gothrough you, very, very
intriguing.
So, yeah, I was like man, thoseare my encounters.
And so I thought that, becausethis would be a great
opportunity to catch up onemails and people sending text
messages to us, and we reallyappreciate that.
Maybe you are listening from adifferent area.
(11:14):
You listen to the podcast.
Send us your text too.
You know, maybe you'relistening to us.
Let us know where you'relistening to us in a radio
station.
You think we should be on?
All right, that's myself-promotion.
Um, yeah, just an interestingtime of year to just.
I love spring, you know, don'tyou?
It's just, you know, theweather starting to get better,
(11:37):
the air smells so good.
You hear the birds chirping inthe morning.
It's just, it's something aboutit, man, just something about
it.
All right.
Well, let's get into our textmessages if you'd like to send
us a text or you want to bechirping in the morning.
It's just, it's something aboutit, man, just something about
it.
All right.
Well, let's get into our textmessages If you'd like to send
us a text or you want to be apart of the show.
775-990-5151.
Our first one comes in fromKaren.
Karen sends us a message.
(11:59):
Let's get to Karen's messagehere.
Uh, karen, karen's listeningvia organ.
Uh, podcast listener.
Hey, mario, love the show.
A few years back, while campingnear crater lake, I saw what
only describes as a massivefigure walking through the fog?
It wasn't.
It was at least eight feet talland covered in dark fur.
(12:23):
It wasn't a bear.
Its movement was eerie, almosthuman-like.
To this day I can't shake thefeeling that I encounter bigfoot
question mark.
I'd love to hear your thoughts.
You know it's interestingbecause I'm looking at the map
(12:44):
right now and you were nearcrater lake.
There have been sightings ofbigfoot uh, encounters or
bigfoot sightings near craterlake.
I typically I mean you're theone that saw it, so I would
definitely.
If you haven't made theconnection, let's.
I'm looking at the map rightnow Bigfoot sightings and you
(13:08):
can always look at this Bigfoot.
It's under BFRO database andyou can find out how many
Bigfoot sightings there arearound the world.
All right, karen, thank you forsending your text message our
way.
We appreciate it.
You know, thinking about thatand looking at the map here,
(13:28):
it's intriguing to me becausethere are sightings around there
.
Again, like I said, make sureto go to the website or, if you
have more information, send itour way or send that information
to the BFRO website as well, sothey can continue to mark the
Bigfoot steps on the map forthese encounters.
And remember, in WashingtonState you're not allowed to
(13:49):
shoot a Bigfoot.
So you know you got to be onyour best behavior, right,
because we all know that it'sillegal to do that in Washington
State.
I don't know so much aboutOregon, but I know in Washington
you're not allowed.
And fun fact that I was.
Where was I?
Oh, I think I was doomscrolling, for those that don't
know just sitting there, goingon Instagram on your mobile
(14:10):
phone and just looking atstories and articles over and
over and over, for you know, over a certain amount of time 20
, 30 minutes and I came across aStar Wars story where, when
they were shooting return of thejedi, that um, when they were
(14:31):
filming in the woods incalifornia, that they had
bodyguards around chewbaccabecause they were afraid that
someone was going to mistake himfor a bigfoot and shoot him.
So they wanted to make surethat he was clearly marked in
case there were avid hunters outthere saying, oh, I found
Bigfoot.
(14:51):
Could you imagine the headlineson that one?
Oh.
Chewbacca shot and mistaken as aBigfoot.
I mean Chewbacca kind of doeslook like Bigfoot, but no, harry
and the Hendersons, that's forsure.
You can continue to send yourtext 775-990-5151.
(15:14):
Karen.
Again, thank you so much, karen, for sending your text message
to us and sharing your sightingout there near Crater Lake, ooh
eerie.
Remember to make sure whenyouing out there near Crater
Lake Ooh eerie Remember to makesure you, when you're out there
camping, to bring the properamount of gear and whatnot.
All right, we'll continue.
(15:34):
So we have a listener.
Send us a text message fromMontana, josh listening via his.
He's a streamer as well.
He listens to the show.
You know what's interesting,Josh.
You'll have to let us know.
We've got to find a radiostation out there in Montana for
sure.
Hi, mario, I had the weirdestexperience in the woods last
(15:59):
fall while hunting.
I heard a deep gruntal growthat gave me chills.
Moments later I found massivefootprints leading to a cave.
Something about the entire areafelt wrong.
Have you ever heard of bigfootsightings near glacier national
(16:22):
park?
You know it's funny you saythat there are and have been
sightings near Glacier NationalPark.
Again, if you guys are havingthese encounters, we will have
links.
Use the resources that areavailable.
We'll put them onusphenomenoncom or, if you go to
onairmariocom, which takes youto US Phenomenon, we'll have a
(16:44):
page where you can do thesereports.
We'll have the links availableso that you'll be able to find
them and use them to share yourstories with the proper people
who will be able to take downthe information and put it in
the database.
This information is so crucialas we continue to get closer and
(17:07):
closer to finding Bigfoot.
But I've been out in the woodsand I still haven't had a
Bigfoot encounter.
But also I'm not out there asmuch as I used to be.
Maybe you'll catch me on a hike, but I don't know.
I'm not an avid hiker.
I will go out on hikes, but youwon't catch me backpacking and
(17:32):
usually I'm in and out.
Just go do a quick.
You know I'm one of those kindsof guys I'm not like I got to
hit six hikes in a year or I'mlooking for the next biggest
hike.
Right, right, that's not me.
You're definitely not going tocatch me on top of Mount Rainier
.
Love the mountain, but youwon't catch me up there.
So, josh from Montana, we've gotto find us a station out there.
(17:53):
Josh, find us a station.
Let us know if you're out therelistening.
We would love to be on there.
We're going to expand.
We want to be on more radiostations across the country.
And for expand, we want to beon more radio stations across
the country.
Um so, and for those, that ofour affiliates that are now
taking two hours of usphenomenon we, you know, I thank
you so much for taking that, uh, giving you two full hours of
(18:15):
us phenomenon, um no, but again, yeah, make sure you use your
links.
Uh, if you have them, use them.
Go to Go to my website, onairmariocom, and we'll have
the links available to reportyour sightings.
Maybe you have a UFO sighting.
You know, that's still one ofthe things that I have not had
(18:36):
either.
I haven't had that, and that'smy biggest thing is like even
sitting down to host this youknow, podcast radio show man, I
wish I had some of theseencounters that most of you have
had out there.
It's fantastic.
I mean I wish that I had spentmore time looking up and be like
(18:59):
, oh, there's one, you know.
So thank you for sending yourtext messages in 775-990-5151.
Linda from washington send us atext message.
I'm assuming linda is listening.
From where's linda?
From seattle?
I'm guessing you're listeningto us on one of our flagship
(19:21):
stations.
I'm assuming you're listeningto us on 570 KVI.
Mario, you won't believe this, but my husband and I were
driving through Mount Rainierlate one night when a car
suddenly stalled Out of nowhere.
A glow orb hovered over theroad.
A glow orb hovered over theroad.
(19:44):
I swear I saw a shadowy figuremoving inside of it.
Could this be connected to theUFO sightings in the area?
I'm spooked just thinking aboutit.
(20:06):
You know, linda, I got to askyou when was this?
And we need a little moredetails on that.
Linda, I know that you're notsharing, you're giving us enough
, but we need some more contextto this.
When was this?
When was your encounter?
I got to look up a map and see,uh, what the ufo sightings were
during that.
(20:27):
Like without proper informationon time and date, I can't.
I mean, that's just a stab inthe dark, just shooting at
whatever we gotta have.
If you're sending us textmessages, please elaborate more
time, date of when thisencounter, when your encounter
(20:48):
was, so that we can kind ofcorrelate and cross-reference
UFO sightings or Bigfootsightings during that time
period.
That crucial information.
So, thank you again for sharingyour stories, but if you would
like us to answer, we need moreinformation, time and date of
your story so we can look backat UFO sightings websites that
(21:11):
may have information Near MountRainier.
Let's see what we got here.
So we need a little moreinformation and context in what
you might be saying, because Ican be like, oh yeah, there was
that sighting back in 1947 withkennel kenneth arnold, but
that's not, that's not whatyou're talking about.
So you know, we know that's not, that's not what you're
(21:34):
referring to.
Um, so we appreciate youcontinuing to send your text
messages our direction because, hey, why not?
Well, again, this is the showabout the people we're going to
do.
All listener, try to catch upon all our emails.
(21:54):
You know what I mean.
So thank you, linda, forsending your text message in.
As we continue sharing yourtext messages, continue sharing
your text messages, I'm notseeing anything in regards to
sightings on UFO sightings nearMount Rainier.
I'm looking at the UFOsightings near Mount Rainier.
(22:18):
We'll just say 2024.
See what we got to say 2024.
See what we got.
There were sightings back inFebruary of 2024.
Was that your time reference?
Send us a text, linda, let usknow when that was, when you had
(22:39):
that encounter.
We'd appreciate it as wecontinue to go through the text
messages.
You know what's interesting tome?
Uh, as we kind of break thingsup here, um, so here are some of
the headlines right now thatare buzzing.
We're continuing to see tons ofpeople sharing their stories,
(23:06):
but what's interesting to me isthere really isn't much
information coming up on theseJFK files.
To me it feels like smoke andmirrors when they came out,
march 18th 2025.
You're welcome to look at thefiles which is available at the
(23:28):
National Archive which wasreleased thousands of pages, the
previous classified documentsrelated to the Kennedy
assassination.
While these files provide moredetail about the Cold War covert
operations, they don't reallyspecifically alter the
(23:50):
conclusion that Lee HarveyOswald acted alone.
It's interesting because whenyou look at these files, the
documents have reignited debatesabout Oswald's activities
before the assassination, including his trip to Mexico
City and the alleged connectionto the Soviet Union.
(24:12):
So I mean, to me it sounds likethat he's still a key player,
or was he a pawn in this wholecovert operation.
You don't really see a lot ofinformation leading to like the
(24:34):
cia or some other covert likelike saying that they were a
part of this situation andbasically saying that, well, at
this point it's still leading toLee Harvey Oswald, and I think
what makes this one such a greatconspiracy to me is that you
(25:00):
have someone who was sitting ona perch well, sitting at the
book depository on a floor andwas able to pop off that many
shots and kill and shoot thepresident of the United States
(25:22):
and the governor of Texas aswell.
Everyone still talks about themagic bullet theory.
And then you see the umbrellaman.
And then, going back throughall this and even going back to
the um, the JFK assassinationmovie, with um Oliver stone
(25:47):
stone and the remake or not theremake, uh, the revisited, uh
version of it.
They probably should havewaited till these other files
came out, but I don't know.
You go back, you have this loneassassin, or was.
Did he get help?
And then you have this mobsternightclub owner I don't know if
(26:12):
you allege mobster or what hisfull story was but then shooting
the alleged assassin of thepresident.
So the story at this point justruns wild right, because now
you have no answers.
Jack Ruby shoots Oswald, oswalddies, and then you have the
(26:40):
conspiracies that just unraveland to this day, we still are
looking for answers.
I think, even back then, peoplegoing back through that, having
a young president pass away thatway, and I think everyone was
(27:01):
just shook, regardless of whatyour affiliation was, you know,
political party, I think thecountry just mourned, you know,
of having, at that point, amodern-day president
assassinated.
Were there steps they couldhave taken?
Sure, but Kennedy needed thatface time with everybody, not
(27:23):
not a great, I think, pollnumbers were down, president
wasn't looking great and so hewas like we got it, we got to
open.
We need, I need to be with thepeople, I need the people to
feel me, be able to feel andtouch me, and, um, you know a
modern day president trying toconnect with, you know, the, the
(27:45):
people of texas, and tragic, tragic ending to a president's
term in office and him passingaway by, you know, an assassin,
and I think that's what makesthat story just continue to
(28:08):
spiral in so many differentdirections.
You got the umbrella man, yougot, you know the, the, the
secret service, turning aroundand shooting Kennedy, which
that's probably not the case.
But what it really boils back tois was the Subruder film edited
(28:29):
in any way, shape or form?
Was it altered?
Is this video in its fullentire like?
Was there anything changed inthis video?
Was it modified?
I'm just curious, where was theSecret Service?
Why did they not jump on backof like the moves that were
(28:50):
going?
It just seems so fast.
In regards to watching theZapruder film over and over, and
even being so young as a kidwatching that, your parents
being fascinated by the Kennedyassassination of what happened
to this young president, I thinkwe all are that way.
(29:12):
Right, you go back and you'relike wow, even to this day, I'm
like what new information do wehave?
And being the host here, I'mlike man, man, there's just so
many pages to thumb through.
Is it worth it?
Is there anything that's outthere?
That is like giving enoughinformation to say, oh, it was
(29:33):
levy, it was the cia of the.
You know, you could, you coulddetermine what it was and you
know, slam the book and be like, okay, case closed.
But it is you know, the case isclosed, or is it?
That's the question that we allstill wonder and ponder.
(29:56):
Was Lee Harvey Oswald the lonegunman?
Did he act alone?
And I think you'll see moreevidence in regards to, if you
decide to read what's availableon the National Archives website
(30:17):
what actually transpired.
What was his interactions, leeHarvey Alsvall, in Mexico City,
with the Soviet Union, his ties?
Was he someone who had becomean informant for the Soviet
Union?
I mean, these are hugequestions.
(30:39):
Was the Soviet Union trying totake out the president of the
United States and Lee HarveyOswald was acting as the person
that was going to execute theorders for, at that point, ussr.
(31:01):
So you thumb through thedocuments and you kind of look
through it and you're like, tome it just seems like more fluff
, more BS.
What is the real distractionhere?
What am I really missing?
So I didn't really see anything.
That was stuck out to me as asore thumb.
In regards to the files, again,if you're interested in reading
(31:22):
these files, these files arepublic now so we'll have a link
that's available.
You can go to our websiteonairmariocom.
We'll link you to the NationalArchives website and you can go
and read them.
Just give me the Cliff Notesversion.
I'm not going to go through andread hundreds of hundreds of
(31:43):
pages of documents.
There's not going to be anyinformation that's going to lead
me to anything new now I don'tthink so.
So I to me.
I'm like what's?
What's the distraction here?
And and that's how I look at itI'm like what are we?
What am I missing right now?
Why are you putting this carrotin front of me?
What are you trying to distractme from?
(32:04):
Are you a sheep or are you alion?
Remember, though, that thinkindependently, as I always say,
be sure to think independently.
Don't be a sheep, be a lion.
Think for yourself.
Use chatGBT to think for you.
I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'mkidding as we continue the radio
(32:25):
show.
So thank you so much forhanging out with us and being a
part of the radio program.
You can send your text775-990-5151.
Ah man, I know I was so excitedtoo when those files came out.
I was like oh yes, is thereanything good?
Is there anything good?
And really there wasn't.
No, nothing new.
(32:49):
In regards to the assassinationof JFK, there was some evidence
that was showing his connectionwith the Soviet Union, things of
that nature, and that kind ofputs some of the puzzle pieces
together.
But really, what you need isyou need Lee Harvey Oswald to
share his story, because hisstory is the truth, and you're
(33:11):
not getting that anymore.
No, you're not.
I mean Jack Ruby, really put anend to that right away.
What's interesting to me whywas jack ruby there?
You know, I know that there arestories, I mean he had.
He had connections with, youknow, with what was going on in
there and him owning thesenightclubs and working with you,
(33:34):
you know, having close ties topolice officers and whatnot.
Very interesting for hisinteraction and how he was able
just to come in there, you know, sign unseen and just be able to
document, just walk right inwith a gun and not have to be.
You know, nowadays, I mean, ofcourse, everyone's patting each
(33:55):
other down making sure thatthere are no guns.
Yeah, just so, it's pattingeach other down making sure that
there are no guns.
Yeah, it's so interesting to mewhen you think about it.
All right, let's continue takingour text messages For those who
have sent us.
Tons of text messages have comein this evening at 775-990-5151
(34:16):
.
This comes in from Alex, bigfan Mario.
Thank you so much, alex, fortaking the time to spend it with
us.
I need to share my experience.
I was hiking near Roswell, newMexico, and I came across a
strange geometric pattern in thedesert sand.
(34:37):
No tracks, no explanation.
A week later my camera memorycard was completely corrupted.
Could this have beenextraterrestrial activity, Alex?
Interesting that you say this, because I know that everyone
talks about Roswell, new Mexico, being the home of the most
(34:59):
paranormal activity.
But let's remember, the firstsightings of UFOs came from near
the 1947 Kenneth Arnold, mountRainier encounters.
And don't forget, we also hadthe Maury Island incident that
(35:20):
also occurred, where we talkabout J Edgar Hoover sending out
gentlemen in black suits, alsoknown as the Men in Black, and
we know that there's still agroup of individuals that gather
in the summertime.
I don't remember when thefestival is.
I was down in des moines, washington, having coffee, uh,
(35:43):
down there at the uh, the marina, cute little coffee shop down
there.
If you ever get a chance, godown there, grab some coffee.
Cute little spot.
Coffee was fantastic too, um,but they had a flyer for the
event.
So everyone dresses up in menin black or they wear black
suits and they celebrate in anannual event.
(36:04):
The Maury Island incident.
Alex, interesting that you werein New Mexico.
We're able to take these photos, man.
That's a bummer that you lostthem, though, man.
I hope that's a bummer that youlost them, though, man.
I hope that will keep us postedif you ever have these
encounters again.
(36:24):
Man, that's crazy, though thatyou lost that footage on your
memory card.
Come on, I mean, if you're outthere you wouldn't think.
Are you sure you didn't havelike a magnet or something in
your pocket?
Or maybe your memory card wasnear a magnet.
You know, it's a bummer, bummerthat you had that you lost the
(36:48):
footage.
In regards to that, I alwayssay back it up, back it up, back
it up.
That's such a bummer.
But yeah, I mean, unless youhad a magnet in your pocket,
alex, looks like to me.
Maybe there was someradioactive material in the area
that may have wiped out yourmemory card.
(37:14):
That being said so, if you're inthe Des Moines area and you
want to go to a Q Coffee shop, Ithink that Men in Black event
is coming up sometime in thenext few weeks, if not like May
or June, I don't recall.
I was trying to get them tocome on the radio show to talk
about it.
Again, alex, thank you forsending your text messages our
(37:35):
direction.
Again, alex, thank you forsending your text messages our
direction.
It's cool to hear from thosethat are living outside of
Washington State, where ourterrestrial radio stations are
at, who are podcast listeners, and I know a lot of individuals
are consuming the show viapodcast, which is available on
any of your favorite podcastingplatforms iHeart, spotify Intune
(37:57):

That's US Phenomenon with MarioMagana.
Um, all right, we'll continueon with our text messages.
Uh, daniela from Florida, oh,you're way out there, girl.
Um, hi, mario, I got a creepyone for you.
As a kid I lived near theEverglades and at night we'd
(38:23):
sometimes hear unearthly howlsechoing across the swamp.
My grandpa claimed it was ashunk ape, but I always thought
it was a local legend until Ispotted glowing eyes watching me
(38:46):
from the trees.
Ooh, you know, I've never hadthe opportunity to go to the
Everglades.
Daniela, with your story, thankyou so much for sharing.
I've never heard about the theskunk day.
Um, we'll have to put somepictures on the website, uh, of
(39:06):
this.
Maybe put it in the podcast aswell.
Um, but, yeah, I've never.
Interesting that you.
That's cool that you had anencounter.
I mean, you're sending chillsdown my spine.
I'll be honest with you.
I'm sitting here in the studioand I'm like, ooh, no, I do not
want to see this, but there's somuch massive stuff going on in
(39:34):
the Everglades, I mean you getlost out there, people gone
missing, and you know they don'treturn.
You get lost out there, peoplegone missing, and you know they
don't return, you know.
So, daniela, thank you forsharing your story about the
skunk day.
If you, I mean, this is thefirst I've ever heard of one.
I've never.
Yeah, I need to get out more.
You need to travel more.
Right, I've done Done two tripsthis year Vegas, disneyland,
(39:58):
california Adventure.
Vegas was fantastic.
Isn't Vegas always just aninteresting place to be?
When you go and look, you'relike, wow, vegas is just so
massive.
You definitely get your stepsin.
All, right, let's continuetaking our text messages, our
messages from listeners acrossthe country.
Nate sends us a text fromCalifornia.
(40:22):
Thank you, nate.
From Cali Mario, I'm not sureif this qualifies, but I lived
in a haunted house.
What do you mean?
Does this not qualify?
Duh.
Haunted house.
Yes, for years in the Bay AreaEvery night around 3 am Well, is
it really night still at 3 am,I guess overnight I'd hear
(40:45):
footsteps pacing in the attic, even though no one was there.
The strangest part, I sometimesfound objects moved into
perfect circles on the floor.
Moved into perfect circles onthe floor.
Well, I would say that you aredealing with some type of
paranormal activity, or you weredealing with some paranormal
(41:07):
activity in the attic.
He asked.
Nate asked could I be dealingwith a spirit or something else?
Well, come on, nate, let's bereal.
If you're hearing footsteps at 3o'clock in the morning and it's
not your dad or family memberor roommate or spouse, pretty
(41:34):
sure it's probably paranormalactivity.
I mean, we can get our mad wildscientist, chad and Josh, to
come down there and hang outwith you and see if you get any
parasense, get any paranormalactivity.
He'll hook you up and set youup and get you all dialed in
there.
Do you remember that story whenwe had I call Chad the wild
(41:58):
scientist, the mad scientistbecause Chad and I worked
together in the radio businessand then him creating this stuff
and working with Josh?
Yeah, you definitely need to.
You got to go back and see ifthere's still any paranormal
activity going on.
I'd love to hear if you havemore details around this house.
(42:21):
We got to get Chad the madscientist out there to see
what's up.
I mean, you never know what'sout there.
I mean, how many times have youjust sat somewhere and you're
like, oh, I had a chill and youknow, what's interesting is if
you ever have a chance, if youdo the underground tour in a
local neighborhood, or even inSeattle, the Merchant's Cafe,
(42:44):
which is closed right now.
I don't know if they're going toreopen the cafe or not when you
go downstairs, because that'swhere the fire happened.
During that time period theyjust built above.
There is some paranormalactivity going on down there.
It's very eerie, it's very damp, it's very cold down there, but
(43:10):
it's like on another world.
It's like you're stepping backin time to the 1900s.
It is the most interestingexperience you could ever have,
and eerie for sure.
Um, as we get close to wrappingthings up here from the pacific
(43:32):
northwest, uh, we'll take, uh,one more, maybe two, two more
emails and text messages.
Sophia from wow, from Vermont, wow, way over there.
Thank you for listening via thepodcast.
It's a pleasure.
Thank you so much.
I just always wondered whereeveryone was coming from.
(43:52):
Hey, mario, I got a Bigfootstory for you.
I was hiking around GreenMountain when I stumbled on a
primitive structure made ofbranches and leaves.
It felt like a shelter.
As I backed away, I caught aglimpse of a massive, shaggy
creature standing perfectlystill in the distance.
(44:15):
It was watching me and I'llnever forget the intensity of
that moment.
Okay, sophia, and this isn't mydaughter from vermont.
Um, holy heck and I know thatwe've had tom seawood on the
show you got to remember that ifyou have a parent, if you have
an experience with an encounterwith a Sasquatch, they are very
(44:44):
smart, according to Tom Seawood, and how they are able to.
They see you and smell youbefore you see them.
You always you got to be, yougot to be alert, you got to be
ready, because you just neverknow what's.
You know what's going to happenand I know that in past times
we've had experiences wherewe've had individuals, really
(45:05):
avid hunters, out here in thePacific Northwest hunting and
coming across Bigfoots andcoming across a Sasquatch.
And hearing their stories ofthem sharing what they've come
across and encountered have madethe hair on the back of my neck
stand up.
When you hear a grown, adult, big, burly, dude, avid hunter
(45:31):
have a shake in his voice as hetells, this story makes you,
makes you go damn, that's,that's raw, that's real and you
don't question it.
You just you're like damn, thatthat guy had an encounter and
he's like I know it wasn't abear, this was way bigger than
that.
So, um, according to tom, you're lucky, this wasn't one of
(45:56):
those sasquatches that havegone rogue.
Where you could have been, aturd Would have eaten you up.
I always wonder, like at thenational parks, as we get close
to wrapping things up in thePacific Northwest, in the
national parks and this is whatis intriguing to me about people
(46:20):
that have gone missing, like, where are their hiking gear?
Where is their gear at?
You know, like the Sam DuBose Imean, this one comes to my mind
all the time, and I talk aboutit all the time because,
according to his family, he wasan avid hiker, um, well prepared
(46:41):
, um, he was doing the mothermountain malwich trail, which
you can't get to right nowbecause of the bridge, uh, out
of service now indefinitely.
So if you're an avid hiker andyou're out there, you're
definitely not going to see thebridge, you're not going to get
there, um, but where did he go?
Where did his stuff go?
(47:01):
That's the intriguing piece tome.
And not to get a lot of answers, you you're not getting a lot
of cooperation from, um, theparks department, you know, you
know you're not getting, uh, thenational park to give any
detailed information.
They're like, yeah, they'll,they'll do a press release.
And they're like, yeah, that'sit.
(47:22):
But what happened to Sam.
Did he fall into a you know?
Did he fall in a crack, acrevasse?
Did he fall in that?
And he, he left.
Why was his water bottle foundon the trail and nothing else?
Why was this water bottle foundon the trail and nothing else?
(47:42):
Are there feral people livingin the national parks that no
one's talking about?
These are things that make mequestion when I go up Someone
who is not an avid hiker I'm aday tripper right, you go up
there, you take a water bottle, just a small one.
You, you got your walking shoeson, you got your brooks or
(48:04):
whatever, and you go up.
Right, you're not, you don'thave, you don't have the proper
gear to be up there.
You go up there and, especiallyat mount rainier national park,
you're doing most of yourdriving, you park and then you
walk on the cement path trailsand then it becomes dirt, right,
and you're looking at themajestic volcano.
Because that's what it isbeautiful, right, and you start
(48:27):
thinking at least I do, maybeyou don't, maybe you do as well
you're like, damn god, it'sbeautiful up here, you know.
You're like, wow, the power ofthis volcano, same with same
with mount saint helens.
You go down there and you'relike, wow, this is impressive
what mother nature can do, right, but in mount rainier, near
(48:52):
mount adams, are there peoplethat are living in the forest,
that are feral people?
I mean, it's a great question.
The Parks Department, theNational Parks, aren't going to
tell you any information inregards to that.
And if they're living out there, what are they doing?
Are they the ones taking thesepeople?
(49:14):
You know, why has this stuffgone missing?
You would think that you wouldfind this in front.
You would find like the tent orhis backpack.
Or if he fell in there, whywould you find his water bottle
and nothing else Interesting tome?
And maybe that's a clue, maybethey were like here, we'll leave
the water bottle here asevidence.
(49:34):
Oh, we found him.
He didn't find anything.
You just found the water bottleand that's it.
It's a canteen or whatever.
It was Not much to be found.
You know, that kind of stuffmakes me wonder and think and
make me appreciate like, hey, again it is Mother Nature,
(49:56):
you're going to come acrossstuff.
You know, if you're going upthere to go watch a beautiful
sunset, yeah, you got to becareful, you got to be prepared,
do?
you have enough fuel?
Do you have enough, you know, for an overnight stay?
Do you have the proper gear?
Do you have a sleeping bag, water, you know, things of that
nature, food, some extra food incase you get stuck, you know?
(50:19):
So, again, what's going on inthe national parks?
You know these are things tothink about.
But again, sophia man, what anencounter that you had, kind of
eerie.
And again, be careful whenyou're out there.
If you're out there hiking, make sure you take proper
protection bear spray, things ofthat nature.
Understand what's going on onthese trails, watch the weather
(50:40):
apps, use them.
If you're doing some serious, avid hiking, make sure you have
the proper gear and um andbeacons.
If you're going to do, uh,snowshoeing, things of that
nature.
