The party ventures deeper into the Dead Timber Forest, where eerie discoveries, strange rituals, and unexpected allies test their trust and courage. Tensions rise, bonds deepen, and something stirs beneath the surface… both literally and figuratively.

Sorry about the technical problems on this episode, but like we've stated this is a labor of love and these things are bound to happen sometimes!

(00:05):
Hi, it's been a long week. Welcome back to what is this,
Episode 4. I think so.
None of those can count, so. 4. 4 baller band.
Episode. We only.
Had to come up with another namein a different language for

(00:26):
three last time so. This is 4.
This has to be 4. Yeah, like we.
We only got to 4 episodes beforewe forgot.
Four got I can. Already tell this is going to be
hell, dad. I I can't say.
Tom, I noticed a couple of. Alright, well, I'm your I'm your
post, John with the these are your adventures.

(00:48):
Say hi adventures. Hi adventures.
Welcome back to Ballerbound. Let's talk about what happened
last episode. I got sad.
One great question. Got sad at the end thanks to me.
I almost died to sand. Ron Haran almost died.
Tom. Tom almost died under the table.

(01:11):
Ron almost died to quicksand. Basically the premise is if you
missed last episode, we'll go back and watch it, But we
basically we're trying to get through some woods.
The party had the option to takea nice path to what presumably
would lead to a city or to cut directly through woods.
And well, they decided to cut directly through the woods,

(01:32):
leading to various adventures that we're still on currently.
We're going to leave so. I did OK this here's a little DM
sauce for you. I told I told Tom this in
confidence. So today, but I thought it was
so funny how to tell. I was like, OK, first of all, I
didn't write anything for the road because I knew you weren't

(01:54):
gonna take it. Like, like it was like the
second you they saw the road andthey're like, but they have a
compass and there's a there's the woods.
They're going through the woods.Yeah, yeah, D&D players, when
offered a direct path forward totheir location like, no, no.
It was so I was like, I wrote nothing for it.
It was just straight woods only.We all know that road was a

(02:15):
mimic, yeah? I don't trust that son.
God damn. It.
But yeah, so we'll pick up rightwhere we left off.
So basically what happened was they were going through the
woods, they crossed a river, right?
You guys, you guys made a team effort to cross the river where
somebody almost drowned, Who almost drowned.

(02:36):
Ron. Ron round in the river.
Yeah. Cars swam to the river.
You flew over the river, you teleported over the river, the
crazy shit over. A river.
Yeah, you look like router out. That was pretty cool.
You got to the other side of theriver.
There was a squirrel that pestered one of you that using
Eldridge blast. That was pretty cool.
Blast squirrels our. Thing not cool.

(02:59):
Taking some force damage from from a squirrel feels good.
He's a little gay. And then you found a cabin in
the woods and one of you decidedto stealth up to it and look
inside. Saw something shiny went in.

(03:21):
Came back sad. Well, technically you are still
in We, we ended, we ended with licks in this cabin in the
woods, this decrepit cabin with paintings on the walls of the
forest around the paintings are all of the forests with a little
Dragonborn child in all the paintings.

(03:41):
And you read this diary that youfound on the floor of a older
dragonborn deciding to take fateinto his own hands to make the
the passing of himself and his daughter easier.
So you were reading his final entries in that diary, and you
found also a wooden and metal train toy.

(04:04):
But you don't know what a train is.
So I had to try to describe whata train was without just saying
fucking train, which, I don't know.
It's like the hardest, like trying to describe blue without
ever seeing blue. Can't do it.
Yeah. That one goes.
That one you ever seen? It's like green.
It's. Like green, but it's like.
That more accessible no but see you are let's take it from there

(04:25):
fading baggage. You were in this cabin.
You just read this last entry toremind you of the cabin.
It is a I said a, a three room cabin or sorry, two room cabin.
You're in the main room, which has the living room, a
fireplace, all of the the paintings on the walls, you
know, broken, dismantled furniture, a dining room table,

(04:45):
a kitchen. And then there's a closed door
presumingly leading to another room as well.
And we we pick up from there with Licks standing in this
room, reading his diary in in the dark light streaming through
the window. I think he's going to just kind
of like, gently set the diary down and like, look at the
object in his hands, the train that he doesn't know is a train.

(05:09):
And I think he's just going to start crying.
Is it, is it loud? Are you crying audibly like?
I don't. I don't.
Roll for this. You can tell me how licks cry.
I don't think it's, I think it'slike a very silent here.
It's just they're just like kindof like endlessly streaming down
his face, but he's not really making any noise.
How long has licks been in this building?

(05:30):
It wasn't quite a few entries, so I'm just going to roll AD 10.
You've been in there, let's say about 8 minutes at this point.
So it's been 8 minutes of you saw you from the outside the
forest. You guys saw licks open this
door really slowly and stealthily sneak in, and then
you might have seen a flash in the window for a second of them

(05:50):
moving past, but then you haven't seen or heard anything
else. What are you guys doing outside
the house cabin in the woods? Resting.
You just lying on the ground. Yeah.
Nice, nice. I'm I'm enjoying that I am still
able to fly even after being buried alive.

(06:13):
You might be, you might be cleaning chunks of wet sand off
your your nice clothes, you know, Yeah.
I'm taking off my boots and justemptying out a whole bunch of
things I. I did use Druid craft beforehand
to rinse us off from last episode, yeah.
OK, that well rinse us off stilldoes not get all the sand out.

(06:34):
Yeah, it's like when. You go to, I'm taking my
backpack like when you sat in. Here for three fucking years.
Like that's the you could probably hear that outside you
just you're like broader. I'd be like why is there sand
all over me and and what do? You do.
You're gonna get on me. Well, first I'm just imagining
the out of the cartoon when theytake the boot off and just an

(06:56):
unreasonable amount of sand pours out.
Like a crab, I. Like the like extreme variation
of what's happening outside and what's happening inside just.
Really set in the mood here, yeah?
Car is probably just walking around like.
Not. Not like doing yard work but

(07:17):
picking up like pieces of things, just killing some time.
Yeah, you can give me a perception check to see if you
see like another like cuz you know you're walking around.
Maybe I could lay the land. Maybe you see maybe you see
something who knows? 19 yeah.
So you got a full picture of every path surrounding this
every game trail, every tree, ifanything looks odd, nothing

(07:39):
really looks odd. It just looks like an overgrown
property essentially. But you do see a game trail
leading more towards the. I said you were going West, so
yeah, you're heading towards theWest, which is the direction you
know that you're going to be going.
There is a small game trail heading that way.
Cool. And we'll flash back into the
house. I think it looks kind of feels

(08:00):
like it's wrong to kind of keep encroaching on this space after
all the sad, sad things that have happened in here.
So he's going to like, take the toy and put it in his pocket.
He's gonna walk back outside. OK.
So after about it's been probably 10.

(08:21):
Minutes now, yeah. Licks.
Is it obvious you've been crying?
I think it's very obvious I've been crying.
I think the tears are like stilljust kind of pouring down.
Licks, obviously emotional, walks out the the front door of
this cabin where they entered 10minutes before.
Do you close the door behind youas you walk out?
Yeah, I do. Softly closes the door behind
them and regroups with you guys. And again, you have no idea what

(08:47):
happened to this cabin. Vicks, you OK?
Not really. He found a ghost.
You went into a haunted house and you found a ghost, didn't
you? There was ghost in a way well,
but not quite physical. There aren't ruins of things

(09:07):
that go right. Keep that in mind in the future.
You went in there looking for something.
Did you find it? I found something, I don't know
if it was what I wanted to look for.
OK, there's. Still not.
Him saying fucking damn. It.

(09:30):
If you keep shaking it, it's just going to keep getting back
on your things. Maybe.
We could go rinse off your things later.
I'm going to use a druid craft tantrum to try to send a strong
gust of wind at Ron and Ron so he fucking stops with the sand.

(09:53):
I think it says in the druid youcrap spell written it's a light.
Breeze. Excuse me?
Yes, a light breeze. Excuse me.
A fart of wind at the giant loudman, please.
Yeah, it rustles your, your, I don't know what you're.
Wearing your jimmies? Three pieces of sand fall off.
A bit more. More sand.

(10:16):
Sand is eternal. Well, I don't suppose we should
stay here much longer. There's a nice there's a game
trail heading exactly the direction we need to go from
here, so we should head out. At this point it is pretty much
getting to be like 1:00 PM You'dsay you know like early
afternoon ish. I remember what I said last

(10:37):
session so I'm just assuming it's early afternoon.
That sounds right. If I'm wrong, fuck pass Shawn.
It only took. A couple of minutes for run
around to almost die, yeah. So it's probably around 1:00 PM
right now. So what would you guys like to?
Do for this. Yeah, hi.
Cara seems to know where to go, so yeah.
Cara, I'm going to have you makea whatever check you want to

(11:00):
leave. How are you leading the way?
You're going to get an advantagebecause you had that that 99
perception, which is crazy. Just going to be walking the
way, kind of breaking off sticksthat are in the way, making the
path easier behind. OK, we get a more manageable
path. Yeah.

(11:21):
It would be an 8 for yeah, 8 forsurvival.
And you said advantage? Yeah, you're relative advantage
18. Yeah, Yeah.
So you're doing a great job. This path is is well trodden
compared to this. This looks a lot easier to
understand than the thick brush that you had to get through
before. Like I said before, you were
going directly through the woodsbecause the original path had

(11:43):
washed out. So this looks like a more
manageable, like people have been through here recently kind
of path instead of complete and utter like, you know, woods.
Yeah, you're getting through just fine.
And you actually find your way to what looks to be a regular
path after about 1/2 an hour of walking.

(12:03):
Well, I think I'm tired of walking through the woods.
I'd like to follow this path fora little while.
Does it proceed in about the same?
Yeah, yeah. And basically you come out of
the woods and then the path goeslike starts and keeps going.
I think we could use a break from sand.
Yeah, the path is sand. God damn it.

(12:25):
Living. Yeah, it's a mimic.
You're going to get Jenny down that path then?
Yep. Awesome.
So you guys walk down that path. Are you guys talking about
anything? Yes.
You just are you honestly just downtrodden?
You're like, obviously Lynx is not doing very well, but how are
the rest of you? Yeah, I.
Breathing heavily are. You not used to physical

(12:46):
exercise, you know. Eon may or may not be in pain
right now. You have a cardiovascular system
to get tired. Oh yeah, you fell, didn't you,
last session? I have.
Like a bunch of two hit points because Tom knocked a tree on
me. Fucked.
Up. Yeah, I know.

(13:07):
Anyone who is skilled in either perception or medicine would
notice at this point that EON isnot looking.
Good, but eon's not gonna say anything.
Skill in medicine. Cool.
Then you would you, you kind of after you get to the path, you
turn around and you're like, should we contend you?
And you look around and you lockeyes.

(13:29):
That noise. You on or are you OK?
You don't look so good. Everything hurts.
Why what why? Why do I hurt?
You you took a pretty hard fall, yeah.
You did fall out of a tree. Do you want some help?
Falling. So when you're up one place and

(13:50):
then you go down to another place, but not very gently.
And then the ground is right there, and it the ground hits
you and it hurts, you hurt, right?
Yes, pain doesn't feel good. Would you?
Like some help to make the pain go away.
Yes. I would also like to take a

(14:14):
moment because I know we do havesome newer players to remind
people that we do have such things as short and long rest as
well, so. I've been down to take a short
rest. Short rest is an hour if you
guys just basically you just chill for an hour, have a little
sit with snack with snack and then I don't know how many
points you can gain hit points back, but.

(14:35):
I think you can get. One hit dice I think, or.
You can choose how many hit diceyour hit dice are limited by
your levels. I think we're back to two hit
dice. Yeah.
And then get. Your hit dice back on a long
rest. Yeah, you get, well, you get.
There's a set number, so you don't get all of them back.
It's like, yeah. I'm just trying to figure I
don't know why they wouldn't puthealing on on the fucking it's.

(14:57):
Like half rounded down or something.
But it's just your hit dice is whatever.
Mine's like 2D6. Yeah, I'll just pull it over
real quick. I believe you, but I imagine
taking you took emotional damage.
You know what? It's like a damage.
You. I did take a lot of.
How much how much of your healthhave you lost?

(15:18):
Damn it? How down are you?
Because I I have. Song of Rest.
Yeah, I was going to say I I gotsome some spell slots.
And song of rest is only really relevant during a rest.
I'm down 7 so. I can just take a hit dice.
You can spend one or more Hit dice at the end of your short
rest, up to your character's maximum number of Hit dice,

(15:39):
which is equal to your character's level, and then you
roll it and you add your Constitution modifier and you
gain that many back. And how do we read the hit Dice?
Yep, every long rest you get half up.
To half back up to half. I was only guessing I was having
it's. Like some?
No. At the end of longer the
character regains all lost hit points and regains all spent hit

(16:00):
dice up to number equal to half the characters total number of
what? Yeah.
It's something stupid math. Wordy and shit, you get half
your hit dice back on all yeah. But all your hit.
Point, but all your hit points. So yeah, take your, take your
short rest and let me know you're doing a short rest.
Let me know where you're where you're taking the short.
Probably just taking it at that house.
We might as well make that the short.

(16:21):
We already walked. Through I know, but we we can
just, we should just take it there.
We should just not. We didn't go very far right.
I said it was like a 30 minute walk, so it's a few.
We can just. Plop, you're on a path.
Offering a retcon. Yeah, I am.
You're trying to plot a retcon on me more.

(16:42):
Kind of where we are. Yeah, you're on a path that
looks like it's well trotted enough so.
I'm laying in this. Point damage.
I almost died. Takes no damage.
Takes. Zero damage, almost dead though.
You know, let's just start drawing in my nice little
sketchpad on her on is actually surprisingly kind of good at

(17:06):
drawing for some reason. Yeah, this is, this is new to
you, this big Goliath like you just plopped down in the middle
of the path. Yeah, I just kind of I'm leaning
against, you know, like a. What are you drawing?
Are you drawing something around?
What are you? Drawing nothing like particular.
It's kind of just like a mountain scene I'd started
before. I'm just kind of like getting
back into it since we have like a short little time just.

(17:29):
Roll me a performance check withadvantage because you have
advantage with drawing. I got a nap 20.
Yeah, this is you. You describe the drawing, and
this is exactly what it is. It's like, I'm imagine just like
a really quick, like kind of, you know, Bob Ross kind of
things, you know, just in like apencil kind of form.

(17:50):
It's just it's really quick, butfor some reason it looks really
nice and detailed. You know it, just kind.
Of cross hatching. Catch your eye from like kind of
a good ways away, you know? Some beautiful work there, big
man. Is this a particular place
you've been before? There's.
Been a lot of places I've been. Sometimes it's one, sometimes

(18:12):
they're mixed. Fair enough.
Yeah, I guess you, I don't know if you're trying to be discreet
about drawing this. Yeah, yeah, people would notice
if, if you're not trying to be discreet, everyone would notice
you're drawing this. Right.
Yeah. How?
How well he's drawing it. Yeah, I was like, nothing to be
discreet. You just kind of get in that art
mode where everything just kind of like disappears for like a

(18:33):
minute, you know, like. That Tom's an artist.
Right, Cara is talking to Ron Heron right now.
Yep. OK, I Lemmy flies to Cara with
the forever syrup jar in hand. I've I have a favour?

(18:57):
Yes. I noticed you seem to have an
eye for these kinds of woods. I need a fix if you could want.
Me to find you something. Sweet.
If you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate that so much.
Sure. No.
Thank you. Thank you.
I have something to attend to. Yeah, so I'll roll a a survival

(19:20):
check 19. Yeah, what would be?
I guess there's a there's a hive, there's a beehive in one
of the trees, like a couple yards.
Away. There's not going to be too many
berries, yeah. But, well, it's a different
world. It could be berries.
You don't know. There's berries.
Fuck you, there's berries, Dogs.Now.

(19:41):
Now they're. Everywhere they roll initiative
the berries. No, no.
No, yeah, there's there's a beehive not that far away and
some wildflowers that are growing too, that, you know,
that are inherently their pollenis sweet.
So yeah. Yeah, I'll probably pick some of
the wildflowers, put some of them or collect some for the for

(20:05):
the jar. But then also you put some near
the hive as I harvest a little bit of honey into the jar.
OK, OK. Well, while while you are doing
that limerence is going to fly near to Licks and land, but not

(20:28):
look at him is is licks doing anything right now?
I was just going to sit next to Ron Heron and watch him draw.
OK, OK, so you're you're nearby Ron Heron.
Yeah. OK, well I guess you'll hear
this too then. So.
Run around. Pencil, by the way, I'm just
going to say it's like a. Pretty big.
Like like it's sharpened. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to

(20:51):
interrupt you, but you kind of notice it's like a cartoonishly
big stick pencil, like 1. Of those first grader pencils,
it's. Getting a lot of.
Detail like from the Scholastic book fair?
Yes. I fit his hands, you know it.
Was dollar store like it's getting a lot of pencils?
Right. Yeah.
So with the with the the gentle repeated scratching of Ron

(21:12):
Herron's drawing in the backgrounds, limerance while
looking into the sky, not makingeye contact, takes a deep
breath. I told you not to go in there,
and I know your type. I know you won't listen to me,

(21:33):
and that's fine. When I tell you to do things, it
is not because I am telling you what is right or wrong, it's
because I need you well, and if you go searching haunted places,
you will come back haunted. Here.
Let that temper your decisions moving forward.

(21:57):
And then limerence flies betweenthe two of them.
Ron Haron and licks and begins to silently meditate.
Did those words have any obviouseffect on flicks?
I think you see his like eye twitch just like a little bit.
I don't think he's ever really been told what to do before.

(22:21):
So he's a. Little.
It's a little. Annoyed and he's still just like
upset generally. And it's just like.
God, I didn't need this, right? This fuck.
Would you say, and this is just for narrative purposes, you
don't have to disclose it if youdon't want it, Would you say
this is almost paternal or wouldyou say this is almost
commanding? It's.

(22:42):
How does it come across in a tone way?
It's tonally it's it's meant to it from from the perspective of
limerance. It is meant to come across as
stern but understanding with almost a don't make the same
mistakes I've made kind of mentality.
OK. And I'll let you take it however

(23:03):
you want to take it. I was.
Curious for a narrative? Perspective.
Yeah, for sure. So that happens.
So that happens. So anyway, that's.
Crazy. I'd say it's probably been about
an hour. Ron Haran wraps up his drawing.
It looks pretty Immaculate. It started as a as a basic
sketch and it comes together as a full a full picture at the end

(23:26):
of it. You could definitely tell that
it is somewhere that's never been too far from his mind.
Like the the level of detail that is in this drawing is
something that he has pondered time and time again.
You can't tell if it's a real place.
You can't tell if it's somethingthat he made-up.
Maybe it's something you saw at one point, but you know, he

(23:48):
thinks of this place often. Where didn't?
Where did you learn how to draw like that?
Yeah. My mother and I just RIP out the
page and I hand it to Lex and I walk away.

(24:08):
I think he's just like, doesn't he's, he's very pleased.
He doesn't really know what to do with it.
Lex is starting a horror trains drawing.
Man, I got shit. When the drawing touches your
fingers, you get like a spark inyour mind, something, something

(24:30):
that you felt before, but you'veyou don't know why you feel it.
But there's certain moments where your brain gets fuzzy and
you swear it's not just you in there.
And you see a flash of the mountain in the picture for a
brief second, and then the forcecomes back immediately
afterwards. Think he's like walking away

(24:55):
from that and then just very suddenly stops 1000 yard stairs,
shakes his head and keeps movingforward.
And the short rest has come to end.
If you use Hit Dice, make sure to track that.
I'm not going to be that guy. That's on you guys.
I don't want to be that good at DM.
That sounds like work. So yeah, if you healed, just let

(25:16):
me know how much you healed by so I can mark that down.
I am back up to 13. Did anyone else use a dice or is
it just you? I feel better.
I think it was just, I think therest of us were OK.
And nobody else got a tree dropped on them.
True, He. Didn't take any damage.
Or or piss off a squirrel and give.

(25:40):
Only. Ego rocketed by a couple of not
acorns that. Just lasted.
You would not your. Spell cast, you would inherently
know that it was some kind of forest.
They were magical fucking acorns.
Yes, they were. Yes.
All right. Getting back together, you guys,
you get back together. I don't know what I was going to
say. You guys get back together.

(26:02):
Like reconvene, reconvene on theroad and who's who's stepping
out first? Who's leading the way?
I can keep going if you'd like, I feel like otherwise someone
else can take lead for a little while.
It's a pretty obvious path. Yeah, yeah, I'm just going to
fly over and grab my my jar back.
Lead the way, Yes. And yeah, we'll keep going down

(26:25):
the same direction we're going generally West.
General, whatever that. Way.
Yeah, we're going. We're going West, guys.
Awesome. General.
West is a great. Name for the grocery store.
Like I was like, dude, I learnedthat CUB is an acronym today.
What? Yeah, it's on their wall.

(26:46):
It's like. Don't click and ask me it's.
Like bigging on the wall near our house.
It's like a what the fuck was itconsumer?
I don't know something. Call this an acronym, yeah.
Yeah, I didn't. Know that that.
Was I think that the middle wordis united, yeah.
United. Consumers United expenses
Buying. Something really don't know.

(27:07):
You're pretty close with houses. It was like really bad.
That's why I don't even remember.
How? How it was?
Let's find out, chat. Are you Googling it?
Fucking crocodiles under Brontosaurus.
It's true after we forgot what cub.
Cost upper bound. We know this is different
acronyms. Hold on.
Yeah, CUB, CUB. There's multiple CUB acronyms

(27:28):
out there concerned. We're going to go off on a
tangent here, Sean. You'll probably have to cut out
a couple that's. Fine.
Honestly, cutting out stuff is the best part because I'm like
oh that's stupid. And I you don't get to you get
to make a joke. Fuck you.
You ready for this? Consumers United for buying

(27:49):
that's. What it was I told you, You were
pretty much right. Yeah, no, it is that bad.
That's. Fucking stupid.
For buying, what's that you mean?
I don't feel bad for saying Cubs, you know it's going to be
plural because that's awful. So after probably about I'd say

(28:10):
20 minutes of walking down this path, it's really easy walk nice
out Sunny. You're just casually walking
down this path. Suddenly there is a slight
divergent in the path where there's a second path leading
off about 10 or 15 feet into what looks to be some kind of
Grove looking surrounding and you can you're on the edge of

(28:32):
that path if you just hear. How look is that I'm?
Trying to. You guys, this is really hard.
OK, there we. Go.
The fuck is that? There we are.
So if you look down, you can look down the path and obviously
see there's something at the endof the path.
Hey, Besty. If you want to make a perception
check you. Can I would like to make?
One path is dark and foreboding and the other one has
wildflowers and birds teething. We're killing it.

(28:54):
We are not paying any fucking attention over here.
I'm still sad. If it, who rolled what?
Seven. I rolled 15.
Perception. Rolled A9.
Rolled a 12 only. Got 13?
Yeah, 13. Ron or It's a well lit day and
this is obviously at the end of the path.
It's not hidden or anything. At the end of this path there is

(29:15):
a body, a skeletal body. Like full skeleton.
You're like zomb full skeleton. Not moving on the ground.
It looks like they're I got to zoom into my house.
Don't remember what I would do. He's he's on a log like he's
like lying over a log. It looks like it's incredibly
decomposed. It's been here for a very long
time. But you do notice that there are

(29:38):
possessions like. The body?
Look, the bone has stuck. You can definitely see that from
the distance that you're at. You can't tell what they are,
but you do notice that there is a skeletal man, but there's
stuff still on the skeletal man and stuff next to the skeletal
man. Well, you don't know it's a man

(29:58):
I guess 'cause like you know theskeletons.
The skeleton person. Well, you can see the penis
bones. Very scientific on.
The and I just go I spy with my big ol eyes.
A dead body. Are you OK?
A real one this time. Oh goodness.

(30:18):
When Ron Rod points it out, the rest of you knows that there
was, it kind of just looked likelogs and like something on top.
But after he says, oh, that's a skeleton, the rest of you like,
oh, that's a skeleton, Yeah. What's a skeleton doing in the
middle of the forest? Like I said, you're coming off a
pretty decently trotted. Path, You know, I think it used
to be a person of some sort. Probably.

(30:41):
Good observation. 10 out of 10A.Fake skeleton.
I. God damn.
It he's. Actually got a 20 and
intelligent I like. To go up and test to see if the
skeleton is fake yeah, we'll. Go ahead and move it.
When you move, I'll move the whole map.
I'll just move the whole map now.

(31:01):
I'm just going to. Go with the whole game's moving
in I'm. Going to go with them.
This is so difficult. There we go.
There we go. It's like Stand by me 5.
You got 5 you walk up and you just kick this skeleton like you
like you, you guys expect Ron Haran to like, he's like, I'm
going to go see if it's dead andyou expect him to like walk up

(31:23):
and do some like investigation. He looks at it and then just.
Kicks in the ribs. When you can get you hear ribs
just shatter too. Come on.
And the skeleton does not move. It has clearly been dead for a
long. Time.
Yeah, that's skeleton to skeleton guys.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure somebody already killed that guy.
Yeah, I wanted to make sure it was, you know, real.

(31:44):
Did I look at the stuff that's on its body?
Like what does it have on? It make an investigation check
anyone who wants to favorite. Well, you said first, so you
said it first. So I'll tell you 33.
I mean, it's pretty obvious thatthere is stuff on this guy's.
Body. There, there's a cloak.
He's he's wearing a cloak. He's got boots on him.

(32:06):
You can tell that there might besome stuff in the cloak.
He's also got a hat that's clearly falling off his head and
still has some hair in it. And it's like on the over on the
log. And then there's also some armor
that's off to the side and a staff that's off to the side.
But with a three, you can't tellwhat's in the cloak.

(32:27):
You just know that there might be more stuff in the cloak.
Not much better, I gotta believe.
Ain't 9. Really, Willed?
You got a nine. Yeah, for a 10/10 for
investigation wait are. We we're investigating or. 10.
They're investigating, yeah. So you can tell with A10 without

(32:47):
like completely taking the cloakoff?
Just looking. It's like you kind of like touch
it, feel it a little bit. You can tell that there's, let
me, I'm sorry, I gotta look realquick.
There's at least one thing in each breast pocket of medium
size. Booby pocket.
Well. I don't care if we take the
things from him, he doesn't needthem, but I would like to do

(33:08):
final rights for him before we leave I.
Think that's fair enough? I would like to steal things
from his body. I'm wrapped.
To myself to see if it's going to.
Fit the chest armor that's next to him.
Yeah. All right.
So just to be clear, he is grabbing the chest armor?
Oh God, I don't like the way I had.
A feeling this had happened. I had a feeling.

(33:29):
Yeah. That just making sure.
Well now yeah, I am grabbing. Yeah.
I'm already in this the. 2nd that you touch that you pick up
the chest armor and hold it. You see your reflection in it
and everything else on the body turns to ash and the body's
still there but it's just a skeleton now.
But you are still holding this armor.

(33:51):
Well. No other items I guess.
This armor is super shiny by theway, and definitely will fit
you. I wanted to see those.
Pockets. You're going to put that on,
aren't you? Can you wash?
First you can see. Yourself and you're like, wow, I
look great. What?
Kind of armor, is it? What kind of armor do you wear?

(34:13):
Chainmails. Chainmail.
Wow. Oh yeah, brother.
Chainmails. Hell yeah, brother.
It's. So clean.
Like it's crazy. And like this guy, you could
tell he's been dead for years. Like so long.
This is immaculately clean armor.

(34:34):
I could look so fresh and so clean.
The Goliath could look so fresh and so clean in this.
Can also be. Can also be worth quite a bit
of. Money site.
Check the fucking armor, can you?
Inside check I don't, I don't know.
But you can. Investigate that.
Investigate. I want detect.

(34:55):
Magic wisdom vibes? Check.
Vibe check. Yeah, how do how It's the vibe.
I feel like I naturally would usually investigate, but the
shininess has kind of got me at this point, like because.
It's all about shiny armor on a guy who's been dead forever.
Ain't feeling right? Especially for someone like Carl
would have done like funeral rites and stuff like that
before. Yeah.
So that would look at how. Length.

(35:17):
These things are together, yeah.Like this is like, nice, this is
probably the nicest armor you'veever like. 17 on a wisdom.
Check for what? What exactly are you looking
for? I'm I'm not looking like the the
feeling is. You're trying to get the armor.

(35:37):
Vibe like the vibe check from armor, it just it's it's armor
like it's straight up like if you had to.
Guess, well, they're emotionallya super shiny like armor in the
middle of the woods that's apparently been here for years
don't feel right. It does not Yeah, to you it
might not feel right, but it it I, I don't even know how to do
this because it's like a it's not really like a mechanics

(35:59):
chara. Is not intelligent, but she has
high. So I it, it doesn't feel like it
feels off, but it doesn't feel off.
Does that make sense? Like like it feels off that this
shouldn't be here. But when you look at the armor,
you're like, it's, it's armor like.
There's nothing obvious, it's just.
Wrong. It's just.
Super clean, very shiny armor. I'm getting stuck on this armor.
I'm already. Taking off my other armor it

(36:21):
feels like. It might be magic or something.
Can someone who knows magic a little better than me take a
look at it before he puts it on?Magical shirt.
Magical stuff is cool. I'll tell you what we're.
Having magical stuff, it's fucking awesome.
What? Eon, can you just take a look at
this armor that I don't like that it is so shiny.

(36:43):
Oh man. There's something.
About that shine bro, Look how fucking shiny it is.
This is real. This is just Tom.
This is a real interaction. Right now, this is just Tom.
What are you doing dude? Or sorry.

(37:04):
Yeah, I'll let you. If anything, I'm.
Like if you don't have to be detected magic, you can.
Just do an arcana check or something, yeah?
You can, you're right. Well, if we got 10 minutes, I
can do detect magic. I don't think you've got 10.
Minutes. You do not.
You haven't got about 10 seconds.
I'll do an Arcana check. My guy's in trance.
This armor has got me. It's real shiny.
I can't I I don't know if I don't.
Tell him this armor means shiny.Very shiny.

(37:27):
This shiny middle of the world drama got me feeling some type
of wait charter. That is a So with this pen, no
idea. You're like, it's armor, but
it's really shiny. I think you should just keep.
Slip on the armor. Put on the armor.

(37:48):
You got some shiny armor, Tom? Limb and I are over here.
The second look at me. The second this armor gets on
you, it feels right, it feels good, and you have got yourself
in a pair of armor of gleaming. It's just armor that never gets
dirty. That's it.
That's you. This armor is so fresh and so.

(38:12):
You don't know that, you just know like like out of game,
write it on your character. You have armor of gleaming now
it's just armor that never gets dirty like.
Armor of gleaming unidentified. Would he?
Would he? Wear it in, attune to it and
realize it. I don't think it has an
atunement. It's just shiny.
It's just, it's just, there's nolike never gets dirty.

(38:32):
It's it's a magical item that never gets dirty.
Yeah, doesn't ever do. It's like.
Scotch guarded, but yeah. And then all that's left is a
Ron Haran standing here. It's got that armor all shiny.
Armor and a skeleton on the ground, covered in ash.

(38:52):
Can we go so? We should probably keep moving
forward. Yes, let me, let me do the the
funeral rites and then we'll go.Right.
And so I'm going to ritual cast the ceremony for funeral like
ceremony. Right.
Yeah. Describe to me how this looks
like, goes through it. I want to.
I don't know. Yeah.

(39:12):
How does this work? What is a rich and are you doing
It's a Manor or how does it work?
Yeah, So it'll be to Maynar and Car is going to arrange the
body, pull him off of the log. He's not all about arrange,
arrange the bones as best she can and then hold her a holy

(39:39):
symbol, which I don't think we've decided what that looks
like for Maynar. I don't have any specific things
for Maynar, it can be whatever you would like.
It so it the the holy symbol is wrong.
Pagan, you know. Actually.
It is a kite shield with light like light spikes coming off of

(40:06):
it and. A small anchor Insignia on it.
Nice. And so she's going to just hold
that and stand at the head of this dead body and pray to
Maynar, asking him to take him across the waves to the forever
land. And a spark of of golden fire

(40:31):
will fall from her, fall from the the pendant, and incinerate
the body. So he was on the law.
Are you leaving him on the? Law she she pulled him off and.
Yeah. So you guys see, I don't know
how many you you can let me know, I guess.
Like I said, clerics are relatively uncommon in Carlos,
so I don't know if any of you ever seen funeral rites.

(40:53):
You can let me know if you have or if you've seen them in other
planes or whatever. But for everyone who hasn't,
that that's what you see. And it is a powerful sight to a
godless world. At this point you see the the
spark fall hit the the body and it just light up and.

(41:15):
In under 10 seconds, bones and everything are just dust in the
wind. Thank you for letting me do
that. I hope he will go in peace now.
Thanks for this sick armor bro. I don't know who you are, but
you are great. Suddenly got a slightly sideways

(41:36):
baseball cap and a bronze. Showed up to your friend's
funeral in his club. He's not using it.
Cool. Well, you guys.
After great robbing a dude it isthe fucking wildest shit ever.
You got the coolest armor out everyone right now.
What are you doing with your oldarmor?

(41:57):
Are you just leaving it there or?
Yeah, I mean, I guess it's like I don't really have use for the
links. I'm like unless anyone wants
some good old chainmail. Could sell it.
Yeah, I was going to say, put ina nice big old pocket of mine,
you know, it's. A big pocket.
Big burden. She's wearing Janko jeans.

(42:22):
We're back. Sorry.
We had some technical difficulties and now there's a
cat. Hello Cat.
Hi, Cat. Hi Cat.
Everyone say hi to you man. Hello.
Man, that's Cutie. That's Tom, son.
Yeah, you're my boy. Six hours of Labor.
Tom was a trooper. With a full head of hair.

(42:43):
All right, so coming back Round and Rock had just grabbed an
armor of gleaming and we did seeCara provide the first funeral
rites of the the whole campaign so far.
That was a pretty interesting moment going back into the world
that happened. You're still on this path that

(43:03):
diverted from the other path that you were on originally.
There is nothing else around you.
It's just trees. Trees.
Hell yeah, brother. Hell.
Back to the other path I guess now.
Onwards and upwards. And with that, you set off back
onto the path and start walking. At this point, it's around 2:00
PM and it's a little cloudy. The wind started to pick up a

(43:26):
little bit. Start thinking.
The more perceptive of you who've been out in nature, start
to think it might storm. You can't really tell, but it
might. And you know, you're just
walking down the path. I'd say you walk probably
another hour down this path. The path does start to get
narrower and less trotting the further down you go.

(43:48):
And as you walk, I know that's licks has the highest passive
perception. So I'm going to say as you're
walking, you're thinking, I don't know.
What do you think about as you're walking?
That's a good question. I'm thinking promise, like
looking around seeing if any anydangers coming to us and.

(44:15):
More of those blast squirrels. Look up more of those blast
squirrels. My mind kind of like wandering
here and there thinking about various things.
Journal. Think about the journal.
The very, very sad Journal. It as your mind wanders, you
start to look into the forest that's getting more and more
dense around you again. And you start to notice that on

(44:36):
the trees around you, the bark on them, it changes from just
like regular bark. And as you keep walking, keeps
changing, not actively. It's just like the closer, the
further you get into the woods, yeah, the more almost like
someone's messed with the bark. It kind of looks like.
And if you want, you can go and look at the.

(44:57):
I would like to go look at the bark.
Yeah, give me a perception check.
All right. So suddenly licks diverts off
the trail and wanders 15 feet toone of the trees.
I. Just stop.
I think it's a 13. Yeah, that's right.
You're looking at this tree and you kind of take a step back,

(45:19):
take a step forward, you put your hand on it, you run the
bark over and you realize that somebody has carved into this
tree. It looks like it happened a long
time ago, but somebody has definitely carved into this tree
and the tree has kind of grown around the carving.
Does do the carvings in these trees look familiar to anybody?

(45:40):
You can all take a look if you'dlike.
Kind of roll in. And you do notice as you look
further down, the carvings are are slightly like less like is
like this one says been grown over.
But as you look further down, ifyou were to continue, yeah, more
and more fresh. So, OK, interesting.
So you can always. Go further down.

(46:00):
I think we should. I got AI got a 13 as well so.
OK, so. 17 on investigation. We'll come back to you in one
SEC, OK? One and two.
It's a tree. No idea.
It's a tree. You're learning what a tree is.
You're staying away from it. You're you want to be near it
after it happens actually. Let's be honest, I might be
tasting a leaf this. Tree is made of wood.

(46:24):
That is. Bailey, you can tell it to ask.
Ron Rod says that, armor gleaming.
You're like, do these these words look familiar with my
words? It's like I never said there
were words. I thought there was carp.
What did everyone's get? Sorry one.
More time I got the same thing and you.
Guys got lakes. Well, I didn't do a second.
You can do like. I got 13.

(46:45):
OK, 13 you just you walk up and you start.
Touching that 20. Damn.
Yeah. OK, so you 2 almost at the same
time you're looking at it and you look at one of the trees
further down and you lock eyes. Both of you have seen these
carvings before. These are clearly faces carved
into these trees as they go further down and you know you've

(47:07):
seen them before and you know each of you know that the other
knows that they've seen these before.
And if you want, you can do a knowledge check or history check
to determine where you've seen them.
Have advantage since our old man.
Yeah, both. You can have advantage.
You've both seen it, and you both know the others seen it.

(47:31):
I know that, you know, I know that.
We know. That we know that they don't.
Know. And you're all whatever if it's
history or or. Double, double, 16 double.
That's crazy, actually. 18 what both.
Got double s. Yeah, we both got double s.
Fucking yeah, that's just both like.
At the same time, there's like amoment where suddenly your

(47:57):
mind's almost touch. It feels like and spider verse
it sounds. Yeah, it sounds like it like you
know how like when you say something, we jinx with someone
at the same time. It's like that, but it's mental
clarity and it's you're not even, you're not even sure if
it's. Real.
But at the same time, you know it's face shit and you know that

(48:20):
you both started seeing these carvings in Elder Rey, the
capital city and outside the capital city after the cataclysm
and always in elven territory. And that's what you know about
it. I.
Hate the fucking woods. I hate the fucking woods.

(48:41):
You don't know what exactly they're for, but you do know
that you've seen them, and that their faces, they are attempted
reliefs of elf faces crudely sculpted into these trees that
grew around it. What y'all staring at these
trees for? Seen these carvings around
before? What?

(49:02):
Are. They I guess if you went really,
really hard, I mean, I rolled up1.
I'm not quite sure what they arein a metaphorical sense, but
quite literally their faces. Are they all the same faces or
are they different? They're all, they're different,

(49:23):
they're all different faces. But they're all Elvin faces.
They are all Elvin faces. Usually find them in Elvin kind
of territory are. They familiar faces.
Worn out places? Yeah, worn.
Out. Faces, don't you get me
copyright strike. This is my livelihood.

(49:43):
That's right. Manifest.
Manifest. Please let us.
Use math more than this. Yeah, you know that they they
are definitely carvings of elf faces frequently seen around elf
territories. They started popping up after
the Cataclysm and only around elf elf areas.

(50:04):
You you are not inclined to knowexactly what they are for, but
you do know that that they populate around elfin areas.
Assume you share this with us. Yeah, we assume.
Yeah, we, we share that they're they're Elvin, they're related
to elves, and they're elf faces. They won't tell you what they're

(50:25):
for, but if there's anything to know about elves, they probably
worship them. If any race worships itself,
it's elves. There's clear disdain who in
Lib's voice. I don't think she likes elves
very much. I agree.
Well, it does appear that the carvings are getting newer as we

(50:50):
continue in this direction. Getting closer to Elvin
territory. That was my thought exactly.
Should be on our guard if nothing else.
Elves don't tend to congregate anywhere they don't have
tyrannical control. I'll take your word for that.
I can't say I've met many. You'll take my word, or you'll

(51:11):
take those shackles. I understand the distrust of
some, but this is getting Porter.
Pray you never see what I've seen, Yeah.
Same. And the elves I've met have just
been other orphan children mostly.

(51:31):
What's eon relatively quiet backthere?
Eon definitely didn't like the leaf.
Not to. And potentially got their foot
stuck in a hole. We're going to wander back to
the group now. Do we have to continue this way?

(51:52):
Is this the only way to our it? Is the destination heading West?
Just your. Yes, I yeah, you make that.
So the woods were getting more dense, but as they go further
on, further on, they're getting less and less than and opening
more up and being more sparse. And also the trees are looking
younger and younger. Are they looking more cared for?

(52:14):
Does the grounds look more caredfor?
I would say cared for, but I would say organized, yes.
Well, it is the best direction for us at this time.
There's no clear path for us to go north or South to maybe go
around, so I think this is our best bet for the moment.

(52:36):
We don't bother them, they don'tbother us.
North-south, East, West, whatever direction.
Well. This is this is this is now
Canon. In Goliath culture, there is a
direction called where and it's.What am I going?
To tell you where or what it is,I'm going to let Tom wherever

(52:59):
Tom says ye. That's the direction.
This is why you homebrew way more fun but.
West Why didn't. Go on, do something.
Today I think where depending onthe language that you.
Have. Literally changes how you think
about things. So like one of them was deaf

(53:21):
children who were making up their own like sign language
hadn't come up with language forlike in, around or under.
And they tested this by like hiding something in Plainview of
the deaf children, and they couldn't find it after they'd
watched it be hidden because they couldn't conceptualize how
to describe it to themselves. Wow, wow.

(53:43):
So that. Was bullying deaf children?
Scientists are fucking evil. Oh.
Shit, alright, anyway you. Guys going.
For us, unless we want to sleep surrounded by elves, I suggest
we head yeet word. Yes.
But just keep heading. Now you're getting.

(54:04):
It right direct. All right, see you head further
down the path. Yep, Yep.
Keep an eye. On it, yeah.
You start walking for a little more on the guard.
Like I said, it starts to get almost more organized.
You keep seeing faces in the trees.
They're getting more and more fresh.
Oh, I see them. This happens about half an hour
down the line where there is obviously faces carved into

(54:27):
these trees which details and profiles.
You can't. I know you haven't been physical
long, but you can't just say things like I see them when we
are in a strange new place They're.
Trying. Though you did just see the
faces, right? Yeah, on the cheese.

(54:47):
OK. Limb over there having a heart.
Attack and as you walk down the road you start to hear talking
further off in the distance. It doesn't sound like someone
trying to disguise their voice or hinder what they're saying in
any way, but you do hear some shouting.

(55:09):
Not aggressive shouting, just like talking over poor sound.
Essentially as you go further I got to figure out where this is
going as you go further and further.
As we get closer, I'd like to stop in and listen.
Yeah, how? How close?
You. Just till I can.
Start to hear words. Yeah, you start to hear words.

(55:30):
It sounds like a man shouting, going, hey, stop slagging off.
We need to get this done by sunset.
Plant over there, plant, plant over there.
And you're here. Let a woman go.
It's getting bad, isn't it? With my first impression being

(55:53):
from the limb, this doesn't sound good.
I would say at this point the the road again comes to a
natural end almost and opens up into a Grove, an obvious Grove.
So I'm going to pull that in, I think.
I'd like to not go into the Grove.

(56:15):
You guys are coming from there obviously there.
I'll say you're on the edge, you're on the edge of it.
So like the. Tree is over.
Where would you rather? Go by the road, yes?
Over there, just just into into the woods so we can observe what
might be happening given the voices we're hearing.
I assume it's talking to these people.
Yeah. So I guess you see, let me
describe the Grove. It's it's circular in nature,

(56:36):
clearly very new planted trees with one very old tree in the
middle. All around the Grove are our new
planted saplings and slightly older trees that clearly been
planted within the last couple years.
No faces carved into these trees.
And there is 2 people on one side of the tree that you can

(56:59):
tell where the people that were talking.
There's one male who is a human and one female who is an elf.
And then on the other side of the tree, if you want to see
that far, that's that's decentlyfar, I'd say.
There a tree and there's a tree,Yeah.
Anyone. Want to see that far?
But you can see the the woman and the man talking to each
other and that's when you came in that the whole it's getting

(57:21):
bad again, isn't it? Is there any carvings on the on
the big tree in the middle? Nope, no coverings.
This looks like a normal tree. Well, then you've had at least
some interaction with. What feeling do you get from
this? Are you whispering because
you're on the edge? Yeah, you're not super fine.

(57:42):
I would say where you're probably like 20 feet away.
You're in the you're in the brush.
You know, you're you're. On the whispering, yeah.
Actually, give me a groove stealth check that feels
whoever's in that area. If you're not in an area, if
you're still in the path, don't worry about giving me a stealth
check, but if you're in that area, give me a stealth.
Check doing like the aside on the bad give.
Me one second gracious. I know that that car is there

(58:05):
because they said so. So. 18. 20.
You're fine. You are crazy.
You have disadvantage on stealthchecks.
You have chainmail. Oh, right.
Let's roll again and take the lesser value.
Yeah, I was going to say 16, OK.He's got 10.
It's. Pretty loud crunch.
Team. Who is this now?

(58:27):
Still this? Show.
I have a plush seven. I rolled A3.
Jesus, what did? You get Eon, Eon's not going,
Eon is not glowing. What is Eon doing then?
Because you're the only one that's not in these woods.
Well, they'll I feel like I would be not helpful.

(58:47):
I mean, someone would probably tell me shiny armor.
Someone would probably tell me to stay or.
What and? The.
Yeah. What are you doing?
I'm gonna. Try and rub your mouth and do it
and. Right now, OK, so you're coming
off that path. That path over there is where it
ended. They're all in the brush.
Yeah, we we stepped aside. Hide and watch, but not.

(59:08):
You're on like the other side and hiding.
OK, well you still got to make atree.
Like hide behind like. This.
You don't have to. I'm just you're trying to
describe to me what you're doing, So what do you get?
Disadvantage. I swear that I've done this
before. If you it says it can be covered

(59:32):
by clothing. Yeah.
So you're not you're not glowing.
Yeah, if you want to be glowing. It's also still light out, yeah.
Thankfully. So you just what you're all for
still. That is a fat 7.
So it's OK. So the rest of you are
conspiring on one side of the path, and none of you have

(59:52):
noticed that Eon walked to the other side of the path and just
like squatted down in the other patch of trees and picked up an
acorn. And it's just staring at the
acorn and then crunching it in their hand.
And you guys are conspiring. You're like, what should we do?
What are they talking about? And then you just start to hear.

(01:00:17):
Wave my hand. And then you squeeze so hard
that it the acorn, just like youknow what acorns do, and you
squeeze. Breaks.
Breaks and falls to the ground, and at that point the
conversation stops and the two people turn and see you.
Me. Yeah, what is that?
I don't know, the man says and reaches for the hilt of his

(01:00:39):
sword. I'm gonna run out.
Prompt me to. You know I'm not, I'm just still
looking at acorns currently havenot noticed them.
So you're Li Lim is or. Sorry, lix is running out.
Yeah, I'm gonna run out to theirsign, OK?
We have run, run, you run acrossthey immediately the man pulls

(01:01:00):
out a store and says who goes there?
Shit. We we mean no harm.
We are just passing through. It's all gonna be OK.
Put the sword down. Are you trying to be convincing?
Yes, I'm not going to hurt you, Roll.
Me a persuasion check, He's going to roll an inside check.
I'm feeling persuasion it's. A 23 more than stealthy.

(01:01:23):
He looks at you, and he squints a little bit.
During the silence, I'm going toask, holding up another acorn.
Can we eat these? Not not to him to to legs.
The woman is just staring at youlike incredibly like, like, like
hand over heart like. Watching her.
Metaphorical Pearl. And the man is confused but

(01:01:47):
squinting at you like, almost with recognition but not quite
understanding the full picture. But he slowly, like, lowers his
sword a little bit, and the woman goes, what are you doing?
I don't know. You're here rustling on the
other side of the tree behind them.
We're just passing through the forest, Just just me and my

(01:02:08):
friend here. Nothing to worry about.
Just let us. Just let us keep going.
Where are you trying to go? What's?
The name. Of.
The town, I don't remember. Are you turning around and
trying to ask the other people that are over there?
It's called River Run. River.

(01:02:29):
You're going to River Run. Importance of taking.
Notes River Run, run, run, run. Are you saying?
The man staring at you and goes. It's funny because I did write
it down in my other notes and I just didn't look at them.
Just so you're clear, I don't know if you heard Eon, but Eon
River Row the. Man holding.
The sword. What is that and points at eon

(01:02:52):
with the? Sword.
It's a person. You can't just point swords at
people. And the woman holding her pearls
goes. I think we can.
For what reason? We don't know who you are.
You've invaded our area. We're just passing through.
Well then pass. OK.

(01:03:12):
And the the man slowly starts toback away.
And the woman? Falls Frog, Let's go around the
outside. It doesn't seem like they're in
immediate danger. Like Tug?
On Ian. 'S arm just one hand up in the
air like. Yeah, and.
Finds a cool rock, nothing's going on.
Y'all walking away from this or walking more into it?

(01:03:34):
There's no obvious path out of this, just so you know, and the
path that you're on leads back to where you were, so.
I I 'cause I wanna just. Kind of keep following like the
westward direction I was gonna say.
They are the. Plan on the like the where
they're walking back to. I I feel like we should just
walk off. This is the path out there.
So I just wanted to You wanna walk?
Skirt around. To them.

(01:03:55):
I feel like they've. I don't know, I said.
Depeche, I think that's fine. OK.
So you start to walk out and then what do you with the three
left in the woods? What are you doing?
Go the long way around like. Through the new saplings and new
OK make me. A that's gonna have.
To make me some stealth checks that.
Sounds. Awful.

(01:04:16):
This is gonna go horrible. Oh yeah, I have a real
disadvantage. On it.
Me too. Me too as.
Well, because you're with. Them I that's.
Pretty good. God damn it, I am going to fly
out and greet licks. I'm going to try to convey with

(01:04:42):
my eyes as sort of like roll with it.
Like Master, have we found our way?
Yes, yes, my humble servant, I think we have.
Then shall we? Yes, we shall forward.
The guy with the sword just stops and stares and goes, oh,

(01:05:06):
all right. And he puts the sword away and
he goes where you guys off to river run straight through there
any points? And there's a, there's a game
trail at the other side of the, the, like the other side of the
Grove. And he goes, if you follow that
game trail and so you hear water, you'll hit the river and

(01:05:27):
you can follow that straight to river run.
Right. I like water.
I. Land, take that.
One with the elven lady walks back.
Actually I can just walk her myself.
Walks back. Maybe I can take walks back and
starts to talk to somebody back here.
You guys don't know what's back there.
Exam in the back I got but you can hear some conversation

(01:05:48):
almost a cooing like like not like cooing like a bird, like
cooing like a Mother Mother to achild, like you hear like some
soft singing. I got a 12 on stealth.
And. Then. 11 I feel like you guys
both get to the same point whereyou realize the trees are so

(01:06:11):
thin that there is nothing left to hide behind and you can make
a choice to either walk out intothe Grove or like keep trying to
hide and obviously be seen. Either way, it's like have you
seen in cars where like Mater holds up like cardboard tree?
Yeah, like that's you guys. I I would prefer to be under a

(01:06:32):
cardboard box. Thank you.
Yeah, they have like a barrel onthem, just got a little.
So that's, yeah, at this point you're going to be seen by the
man for sure, 'cause he's like over here, 'cause.
He he you did not beat his passive perception.
I. Yeah, everyone's going to
notice. Them Oh, there you guys are.

(01:06:53):
Who are they? He pulls out his sword again.
And this? At this point, he's relatively
close to you as well. They're just not.
My entourage so. It's it is a rape here, if
anyone's wondering. Pulls out a sword.
We mean no harm. They're part of my entourage.
They lost their way. Who did you say you were?
My name's Licks. I didn't talk to you, Beast.

(01:07:21):
Hey, don't call him a beast. Well, I don't know what he is.
I. Think he's called a Goliath?
Can I? He looks confused.
He does not know about life. There's no recognition in his
face when you say Goliath. They're just people like you and
me. Just.
Big. Just large.
From the mountains, yes. How did you get one?

(01:07:46):
This is, but he's my friend. He's my friend, friend.
I didn't get him. We met, we joined together, we
became friends. Does he carry your things?
No. He's having like a really hard.
Time understanding. What's going on right now?
Can. You fathom that other races just

(01:08:08):
exist. This is a.
Human, this is, we're all the same bitch.
This is a human. But he's wearing.
If you look at him, he's wearinglike, regally, regally gilded
clothing that's clearly Elvin. And he goes, my lady, And you
hear the cooing, stop. She goes, what?
And she goes, I think you need to come back.

(01:08:28):
Nice. Can I Can I prepare an accent?
Yeah. I would like to prepare the
spell Can't trip. What is the trigger?
You don't have to tell me what it is, but you got to tell me
the trigger. Him is starting to swing.
Because. I am.
Also preparing hand trip. Just tell me the action.

(01:08:52):
On on an attack. On an attack from the guy.
Attack against licks. Yeah.
OK. The lady pokes.
Oh my God, I can't. I'm just trying to move the
lady. And it moved everything else.
The lady. The lady pokes back around the
corner and starts to walk briskly towards the man.
And she goes, what is it? And he goes, I, I don't know.

(01:09:13):
Can I start speaking to her in Elvish?
Yes. I don't know where you found
this terribly rude man, but we just want to go forward.
Is that OK? Is that fine?
She looks pleasantly surprised. You're half elf, right?
You're currently in the business.
Yeah, yeah. She goes, Oh, you speak quite

(01:09:35):
well. I'd hope so.
I didn't. Expect that, yeah, take your
servants and be on your way before I change my mind.
Thank you not. I mean, he has Megan them
standing there and he understands.
You can tell he understands likemaybe half of what was said, but

(01:09:56):
he clearly has like a disdainfuleye at you.
He's still holding a sword as. As Cara's walking away, she's
going to incline her head a little bit to the to the elf
woman and offer a blessing like departure, may may not watch

(01:10:18):
over you and. I just I need Nat Nat 20 on
perception to see that you have your holy symbol and that you
said Maynard immediately the elfwoman goes wait.
What? Are you a cleric?
Yes. And she turns to the man and

(01:10:41):
starts conversing in Elvish veryquickly.
Who understands Elvish? Just you.
Do you understand? I I've picked it up.
I'm conversational. OK.
You're getting bits and pieces, but clearly the woman is saying
we need this to to borrow this cleric like, like saying like
convincing the man, like if you just hang out with them for a
couple minutes, I just need to use this cleric.

(01:11:01):
You know, it's, it's been too long.
We need the cleric right now. I'm just going to stop, turn on
my heels, respond again an elvish.
And what would you need her for?Again the the the woman's like
looks at you and says it's not polite to eavesdrop.
It's not polite to say you're just going to borrow somebody.
Well, obviously, and this is still an Elvis, they're going

(01:11:23):
back and forth. Well, obviously we were going to
ask the noble lady Finesse, may I proceed?
You may. And that's all you pick up is
the arrogance and the may I perceive the rest of you don't
even speak elvish, but you notice that there's a tone for

(01:11:43):
that one and they turn towards. Definitely mumbling to myself.
They turn towards Kara and I forgot what.
I named sorry. My name turn the limp.
God, she's a fucking. Bitch.
They they turn towards or the the lady turns towards the man
and she says Ivis lower your sword, we're among friends and

(01:12:10):
Ivis the human male puts his sword away and the lady steps
forward towards Cara and out reaches her hands and says,
noble lady, my name is Wren Ellsworth and I am the druid of
this Grove. I beseech your guidance.
Of course I shall offer what I can.

(01:12:31):
Are you familiar with rituals, my lady?
A fair few, yes. I have a specific ritual that I
need your help with. I am happy to offer my help, but

(01:12:53):
I can't say that I am qualified.I'd need to know more about the
ritual, of course. Yes, of course, and we can talk
about it 1st if you would followme.
And she turns around and starts to walk towards the other side
of the tree. You haven't been to.
Iris does. Iris does not move, but he does

(01:13:13):
sternly stare at y'all. He's not saying like with his
eyes. He's not saying don't move.
He's not saying move, but he is hand on his hilt at all times.
But she is walking briskly towards the other side of the
tree. We'll be right back.
I hope it won't be too long. I'm joining.

(01:13:35):
You surely. Surely you'll let me go with my
cleric. Well, if you're here, who's
going to man your servants? The second meeting command turn
towards liverance. I am the beast Wrangler for my
Lord. Iris.

(01:13:57):
Iris, not that makes sense. That checks out.
I hate these. People, at this moment, you
realize that Young's been tryingto figure out what Elvis sounds
like and he's been going throughthe languages that they know,
which is primordial, which sounds followed by some

(01:14:25):
infernal. So I'm not doing Infernal.
I know, just like really those are.
The two I can do, boys. I'm really trying to figure out
elevation. Literally you just sound like a
beast, like it is selling it. So like when you say you're the
beast regular? He just nods.

(01:14:45):
Yeah. Noble.
He looks at you and he goes. That is a noble profession.
Reaches out to clasp your hand. My Lord can see all of my
talents well. As I pass.
I'm sorry. And as you start to walk with
Cara trailing behind Ren I, I can't remember the excuse name,

(01:15:06):
Ivis stays with you. And you can hear questions from
Ivis in the background about beasts, which are just people.
Just so we're on the same page, I am role-playing.
This is not who I am as a person, all right?
So don't fucking ridicule me. I'm just really good at Rd.
play. Since we've been sitting or

(01:15:27):
waiting around Eon, sat on the ground is now like looking at
bugs, maybe tasting some there's.
Definitely bugs around. There's like ticks, ants and a
couple spiders. Maybe an earthworm if you dig in
the dirt. Some nice squishy ones and some
crunchy ones. Is that what I'm hearing?
Have ticks ever attached themselves to you like?
Simona Puma. Is that does that happen?

(01:15:50):
Do they even do that? I feel like they'd be magical
then. So the blood is magical I feel
like. I feel like you are 100% down if
you pick attaches to you. They explode in like a quick
flash of light. It's.
Pretty bad. It's like when you plug
something into a battery the wrong way.
But with that, Iran walks off, off beyond the Oh my God, it

(01:16:13):
won't let me just grab her. It's so annoying.
What a bitch. Beyond the the tree, are you
guys following? Yeah, the two the two followers.
So as you turn the corner of thetree you can see there is 4
figures standing around the corner of the tree, all wrapped

(01:16:34):
head to toe in bandages, just cloth head to toe and they are
standing and swaying a little bit.
Have I seen anything like this before?
Roll me either a religion check,a history check.
You can also roll. If you would like, I'm going to

(01:16:56):
roll religion that is 14. Got a 15 for history.
OK, so you have never seen anything like this?
You have no idea what's going on.
It just looks like 4 figures, very skinny, all in the same
bandages, wrapped head to toe. You have definitely seen
something like this. And suddenly it kind of all

(01:17:17):
clicks with the faces and the elves and the figures.
These are blighted elves. OK.
And to briefly explain what thisis, well, here, here's how we'll
do it. You look at the the the elves,
Levi or it's not Cara. And do you have like an audible,

(01:17:38):
like a like a clear, like, I don't know what this is like.
That's what you see. She looks at you and she goes,
oh, I assumed you would know ourpredicament.
Forgive me. Let me explain.
And she starts to explain what this is.
And essentially blighted elves are this, this is kind of

(01:18:00):
complicated. It's a large topic.
So let me just bridge the gap onthis one.
When the gates closed to the Fay, wild elves inherently lost
their immortality. That has happened.
They were pretty much immortal except for, you know, if you
yeah, you know, like immortal except for if you get stabbed or
shot or, you know, that kind of stuff.

(01:18:21):
But elves have always been superold.
You've never seen an old elf. And since the gate closed, they
have lost their connection to what made them immortal, and
they have started aging rapidly. To them, rapidly is just normal,
by the way, just they're on the same page.
I can relate to that. They're aging rapidly, and by
that it means they are getting older.
Normally blighted elves are elves, to your best knowledge,

(01:18:47):
that have tried to regain their immortality via means that
shouldn't have been done. You don't know exactly how it
happened, but it caused a sickness to ravage their bodies,
turning them into petrified woodslowly and they they basically
slowly start to turn into petrified wood from the feet up

(01:19:09):
and it is spread through the elfcolonies via bodily fluids.
So it is a sickness that is currently ravaging through the
elf colonies. No one knows how to stop it.
No one knows what started it. They just know that it happened
when they tried to get their immortality back.
And the faces that you saw outside are funeral rites for

(01:19:30):
elves that know that they're going to die to the blight.
They try to carve their face into the trees.
So you know that you have no idea what's going on.
And you guys are being beasts. Make beasts sounds for me.
What are? You talking about with Ivers?
I'm I am following in the conversation.

(01:19:54):
He's talking, you're listening. Yes.
As my. Place.
I would say he he's, he's like, ah, so you're a fairy, honey.
He's carving an apple now with asmaller knife.
Certainly. Would you like to?
Certainly. Hands use an apple, he goes.
Do they like? The bigger one has been good

(01:20:18):
today. He just chucks the apple at you.
It hits you like in the chest and falls to the ground and he
laughs. My.
Performance is really bad. I I don't think he notices.
I generally don't think he notices The performance is bad.

(01:20:39):
He's just so racist. You know it's not his fault he's
raised in a different. Time.
I think it ages. Help searches bad people.
OK all right so that's what's happening over there back to you

(01:21:01):
guys. She, she explains that there
she, she doesn't explain all thestuff I explained to you, but
she does say that they are blighted and we have to perform
the the ritual to help one of them who's too severely blighted
at the moment. And she mentions the ritual's
name. The ritual's name is the calling
the. Calling or culling.

(01:21:22):
Culling. Culling.
CULL. Yes.
Yeah. Like Macaulay Cull.
Yeah, I was going to say that I like.
Like the Jujitsu Kaizen arc, theculling game coming out in
season 3 of Jujitsu Kites. Whichever one's more relevant
this. Is an advertisement for.
Jujitsu Kite. Surprise.

(01:21:43):
This is just free. So yeah, that's that's that's
what you she she says that. And when she says the culling,
you can piece together that essentially the culling is when
one of them gets too severely far gone before they completely
lose their mind and become basically a shambling,

(01:22:04):
essentially zombie that tries toinfect other people.
They put that one down and the option is they can either do it
themselves, but since you're here, they'd like to do it in a
group to put this older one out of their misery.
Me too. I think I can help with this,

(01:22:25):
yes. I am well versed in funeral
rites and yes. So if you can give me the the
description, I will do my best, yeah.
So she basically hands you a dagger and she goes, I think

(01:22:46):
it'd be better if you do it. And essentially it's just like,
we're going to be around him. We're going to sing our
ancestral songs. And at the second chorus, I need
you to kill him. Very well.
The easiest way to kill him is straight through the heart.
It's painless. And then I need you to do the

(01:23:09):
funeral rites after that. And he's already carved his face
in the tree, the nearest tree tous.
And you, you noticed at the end, there was one that was like
freshly carved with with almost like blood stains etched into
the face. Little freckles, prominent brow,

(01:23:31):
high cheekbones. Strong chin.
Strong chin and from the other side of the tree you just start
to hear singing. The second I hear singing, I
wander over there. When you start to move, Iris

(01:23:52):
lurches forward and puts his hand on this sort of goes.
What is that one doing? Yeah, I've, I'm going.
I'm already dancing my way over there.
I've, I'm gonna move over to, toEon.
Please allow me and I I I'm justgonna fly over to Eon and get
really close. You were going to get us fucking
killed. But they're singing.

(01:24:14):
They are singing. Elf singing is different than
dwarf singing. OK.
They sing for different reasons,please.
But the singing's sad. I'm begging you to trust me.
You start to hear a part that sounds like it's been repeated.
Yep, Cara calls. Internally to to main our to

(01:24:41):
bless the knife, bless her hand and that it does its job cleanly
and painlessly and looks to what.
Was her name Ren? Ren waiting for the signal on
the the. 2nd chorus At the height of the second chorus,

(01:25:01):
when these two are still arguing, she turns to you and.
The Carl will make the strike. Roll me and attack.
Be Dexterity or Strength, your choice.

(01:25:21):
Sounds like a great role. Really good role, real.
Good, good role. Like it'll be a lion here.
I know I can. See how?
Good it is. Yeah.
It's a really big number. The BS 6.
You aim just a little bit too high and you can tell when it

(01:25:43):
punctures what should be skin. It's hard and it makes a
crunching sound like bark. And you know you didn't hit the
heart. And there's a split second where
the song should end and everyonestops singing and you're
standing there and you have to drag the knife down into this

(01:26:04):
pore things heart and it lets out an exasperated whimper as
the song dies. Cara flinches and finishes the
deed but feels bad and feels feels gross about it.
Is going to have to wash her. Hands later, Ren touches your

(01:26:30):
back and says thank you and if you could do the rights for us.
You're welcome. I smell killing Everest.
Chuckles. This one's funny.
I would like to have one. He throws you another apple.

(01:26:53):
Got a lot of apples. The singing is stopped, by the
way. I don't know if that entices.
You to perfectly. Good apple.
He turns to you and goes. Why does his armor so shiny?
We clean him regularly. Very impressive.

(01:27:16):
Eon. He is quite the trophy.
I don't know what's worse that Iwrote this so that you have to
play along with it like that's the worst part.
All right, it's. In this position, I'm so sorry.
So again, just as before, I car,Car asks Ren.

(01:27:39):
Is there anything specific that you would like me to include?
Otherwise, I shall just do my general funeral rights.
Once they're blighted, they loseall humanity, so whatever you
do, it's too good for them anyways.
Elephant. Very well and the the same

(01:28:01):
praying while holding the the holy symbol and after a few
minutes a drop of golden fire and then ignited, then gone.
Through the trees, you guys see the the same fire that you saw
before spring briefly into existence, and you know
inherently that the funeral right has been completed.

(01:28:22):
There's a brief moment of silence, and Ren grabs her
dagger back from you, puts it back in her belt, and turns
towards the three that are left.I'm just going to delete this
one. That one.
Sad. He just spit it out and goes
back to work and they start to sway and grab pouches off the

(01:28:44):
ground and start walking towardsthe the woods, reaching into
them and sprinkling seeds. Well, we should be on our way
and it's quite a walk I'd imagine still.
You're trying to get a river Run.
Yes, correct. Yes.
You're not a little far from River Run.
Oh, thank God. If you if you follow that game

(01:29:06):
trail, you hit the river and follow the river straight W, you
should find it within I'd say a day.
You've gladdened my heart, thankyou.
She puts her arm on your shoulder and says no thank you.
There's a moment where it's almost intimate.

(01:29:27):
We'll look away. Then she rubbed your bag and
turns back towards the the blights and you can see her
whispering and her hand start toglow as she waves over the seeds
and little trees start to. Sprout and we'll walk back to
our companions does her. Shoulder squeeze like this.

(01:29:51):
Like this, She said. Hey.
I'm. Going.
To patch you on the back. And she, she yells at her ervis

(01:30:11):
and she's like ervis this guy's name is changed like 10 times.
I mean, he doesn't need a name. It's fine.
Angry mean do. Doesn't angry.
Race. Angry race.
Yeah. And he goes, I need you back
here, Let them go. And he goes, yes, yes, I forgot
what he called my lady. And he puts his sword back and

(01:30:32):
he goes, that was awesome. And he right back and he runs
past. Thank God.
What do you guys think? I was the best actor in Goliath
Mentary. What?
The. Fuck.
No you don't. You play tree #2 in the fucking

(01:30:56):
play. Tree number one, yeah.
I'm fucking crying. You lying that tree.
Oh, that's. You can just.
Drop that. Holy shit, that's inspiration,
right? There, I'm sorry for putting you

(01:31:16):
guys through that. Just that was wanted to get out
of the situation with as little bloodshed as we.
Should we should talk more laterand be on our way first and take
it to the game trail and to the river and onwards to River Run?

(01:31:37):
So everybody's just walking away.
OK, OK, before, before, as the entire party leaves, I land on
the ground and I acknowledge thelady and bow before following
the party. And then I'm on my way.
She looks at you I'm France, andturns back to what she's doing.

(01:32:05):
About 10 minutes down the road, I'm going to turn to the
company. I do not feel good about what
just happened are. You going to fill them in?
Like let's just say you fill theman on.
Yeah, you start to fill the man.Do you have any you would know
intimately about this ritual? It has become inherently like

(01:32:26):
like strikingly familiar in the lower like like parts of
Alderai. Elves.
Elves are not used to death. You have to understand, when you
imagine the oral history of a human 100 years ago, that's

(01:32:50):
something you hear about from your parents that was told to
them by their grandparents. With elves, their culture, their
history, everything about them is shared together.
There's so much cultural weight and influence.
Even humans buckle under the weight of elven culture.

(01:33:14):
You don't hear half human, do you?
You hear half elf because elves are so used to being in control
of the world around them. Creating a ritual wherein an elf
is destroyed is antithetical to everything they know, and they
are very sensitive about such things.

(01:33:39):
She did not view them as hurt individuals, but as beasts or or
lesser than. Because because elves don't see
it happening to them. Once it happens to an elf, it's

(01:34:00):
no longer an elf. It is a cancer to be cut out
from their collective consciousness, you understand?
That's how they see anything that isn't an elf.
There's more disdain on that last note than I think even Liv

(01:34:21):
intended well. Once we get to the river, I
think I need to cleanse myself after this interaction.
Take the time you leave it. I'm sorry.
Sorry, Rod or Rod you and he's like cleanse yourself like he
was like. And with almost, almost like

(01:34:49):
Maynard himself heard you say, cleanse yourself.
At that moment, you start to hear the flowing of a river in
the distance down a game trail. I think we're almost there.
I agree our perks up a little bit at the sound of the water.

(01:35:09):
Here's the sound of the water. Why do we even have sound of a?
Tom's just gonna make all this happen.
I just, I said in the last couple, like in the first
episode that I'm editing or whatever it was, I was just
like, yeah, I'll insert sound effects later.
But it's just like me and Levi doing sound effects.
All right. So you start to make your way

(01:35:34):
down this game trail. It's about a 15 minute walk.
It's it's clearly like it's downhill and you are met with
the rushing of a monstrous river, The biggest river any of
you have ever seen. For anyone who needs a scale
like the Mississippi. Very similar size to across

(01:35:56):
Mississippi, flowing incredibly fast.
Mississippi flows fast. It just doesn't have Rapids, my
guy. It's a, it's a very rough river.
There are obviously like pools where it kicks out closer to the
shoreline. And it has been raining in the
past couple days. So, you know, they're like 2
feet, 3 feet. You definitely take a moment and
watch yourself in one of those pools.

(01:36:16):
No problem. But you have found the river,
which means Ren was correct. You're about a day away from
River Run. You guys see Cara spending a
little a little longer than you might expect on her hands.
Definitely just like. There's not anything there.
But poking, yeah. The water, the.
Phantom. When you're poking the water,

(01:36:37):
there's like little minnows coming up and like nipping
because your hand glows. So they like, they're like
nipping at it, like it's like a bug.
Tickles a little bit. This did this incident shake
Carl like noticeably? Are you scrubbing?
You said you're scrubbing harder.
And is it? Is it notable for anyone else?

(01:36:59):
And it it shook her a little bit, not in her faith with
Maynard, but just the interaction.
It just didn't feel right. The almost disdain for for the
one that was supposed to have been released from from their

(01:37:21):
suffering was disturbing. And you're washing yourself from
the river and. Ron Haran is staring at you, but
you've noticed he's also kind ofbecome uncomfortable with you.
He's not the most comfortable person around clerics either, by
the way. By the way, has very little.

(01:37:41):
It's like I'm uncomfortable withyou.
But that's the. Vibe, I don't like you.
That's. The vibe, you just got it.
That's funny. I give you a say.
Yeah, yeah, I've. Not used to rituals, I've always
had very little trust for clerics in this world like.

(01:38:02):
Yeah, after just a couple of minutes of that car is done and
we're heading on our way. And we're back, hopefully with
no technical difficult. Well, you want to.
You want to try the eating bud. Boggle.
Boggle. Boggle All right, You, you just
washed yourself in the river Car.

(01:38:23):
You wash yourself in the river. Yep.
And you are coming out of the river and continuing down the
river. Question mark It is approaching
probably 4-5 PM. Light is starting to get a
little dim, not crazy dim, but alittle dim.
You have a dim some mood lighting.

(01:38:47):
Sweet, do we have rations? We should.
We all have. Some rations as well as we can.
It's part of our starting equipment.
Food. Yeah, all of us.
Are we? We haunted our first night so we
didn't have to use any field rations.
If anybody has, yeah, it's mid. Yeah, it's past midday.
If you'd like to have a little snacky poo at the river, you
can. We had the We had a little snack

(01:39:10):
during the. I I try and catch one of the
minnows nibbling on me and then you don't, Yes.
I guess make a make a survival check so we catch it.
Dexterity. Yeah, or Dexterity.
Hand me my iPad. Doesn't matter.
That was that was a nine. Yeah, it's just too fast for

(01:39:31):
you. I don't stop though, we just
have. To.
Follow the river like we don't have to go no.
No, you know, if I'm following, they're just, they want to eat.
Some food no. And crossing none of that little
snacky. Snacky.
I'd like to go a little further before we set up camp for the
night, but. I agree with you believe.
We will have to camp one more night, I'm sorry.

(01:39:51):
Then. It happens.
We'll try to pick a less stingy cave.
But caves are nice. Cave I've.
Lived to me or two or. Let's just keep going.
How high? I'm not sure.

(01:40:12):
I mean technically the Goliath alphabet is only like 13 letters
so. I can count.
Three of them are the same. Yeah.
Yeah. Anyway, so you can tell you
you're walking. You're probably walking for 45
minutes ish following the roaring Rapids of the the the

(01:40:33):
river. And you do know that this river
is is the Dyad River. You can definitely like you've
seen other rivers. You're like that's, that's a
river. This is the Dyad river.
Like I said, it's massive, it's fierce, it's flowing in One
Direction very straight towards West and you're following that
river. It's loud.

(01:40:54):
There's a well worn path around it and eventually the river
breaks through the trees and youfind yourself, let's do it this
way. There we go.
I seen. Some coming up at coming up with
the Bank of the river and there's some buildings and logs
and you're coming across what appears to be a obvious logging

(01:41:17):
camp. You hear voices of people
talking to each other in the buildings in a logging camp.
Maybe they let us set up camp here for tonight hearing.
Some blocks blocks wood being split I.
Don't want to? Set up camp too close to another

(01:41:39):
camp. I'm kind of curious on what's
going on I. Was going to.
Say they how do the how do the buildings look?
Just like makeshift cabins, essentially, they're made of
stone. They've been here a while.
You can tell that this is a. This blocking camp is definitely
a staple in the area I. Don't know about you, but I

(01:42:00):
think Lim at the very least would love to not spend the
night outside and I'm inclined to agree.
I'm much more inclined to trust, you know, working creatures than
elves. Very well, let's make ourselves
known. Agreed.
Anyone have any other thoughts on it?
No, I agree. Sure, eon.

(01:42:24):
You. I'm tired.
All right, let's. Hopefully we'll get you to rest
soon. Let's go.
And two, we can talk to we. Make our way to the to the camp
all. Right.
So you're making your way downtown?
Yep. Walking fast.
Faces fast. And I'm homebound.

(01:42:45):
Faces are fast. So.
So as you walk away from the theriver you do notice that there
is basically it goes from being a forest and river to a section
of cleared trees and two cabins,a stack of wood and a a wagon
with a horse. So you walk past the horse and
the horse goes and when it does that, one of the loggers that

(01:43:09):
was currently at the wood stack turns around and walks towards
you guys and goes well match. Hello.
Hello, good Sir. It's a very rough, calloused
handshake. This is a working man handshake.

(01:43:32):
Basically, this man looks straight up like like, you know,
like the Bounty man, like on thepaper towels, he looks like
that. He's a lumberjack.
Lumberjack. Yeah, very large.
What brings you to our fair camp?
We're on our way to River Run and have been following the
river. That's why they call it that.

(01:43:54):
Did you know that? That's crazy.
We. Have.
Deduce. Big word for.
Fine. Laughing.
That's just a joke we say around.
Here. It's a good one.
It's a good one. We found your, your camp and.
We were wondering if we could stay here for the night.

(01:44:15):
He looks you up and down. Look at it.
He's like taking stock of everyone.
He goes. Of course I'll have to talk to
the foreman, but I don't see an issue with that.
We do ask that anyone that stayson the ground pitches in, even
if it's just for a knife, but. I was just going to offer that
so. Wonderful.
Well, let's me talk to the foreman and I'll be back in a

(01:44:38):
couple minutes. And as he walks away, he goes.
She's a little odd. Yes, yes she is.
Just don't worry about them. Just don't worry about them.
All right, I mean, I've seen weirder things come out of that,
those woods. And he laughs again.
He walks, he walks away into this building.
He's a. Little concerned about what he

(01:44:59):
might have seen come out of those woods.
You hear more thwacking over here.
You hear some some clanging fromanother building further to the
right. You do hear some muffled talking
in the in the building and then like, like a playful, like yell,
like, we need the help, come on.And the guy goes, yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah. And then the the first guy you

(01:45:22):
saw merges again and walks over to you.
And he goes, well, I'll have youknow I have some pull with the
foreman. And he says it's fine if you
stay here, and has even offered to sweeten the deal if you'll
pitch in with moving this wood and chopping a couple more trees
down before dinner. We'll provide you with a place
to stay, food to eat, and even aride in the river.

(01:45:45):
Run tomorrow with our horse hereand he slaps the horse's ass.
Sounds like a good deal. We have to go there anyways to
drop off some wood. Fair enough.
Works for me. Perfect.
Great, great, great. Give me a couple minutes to get
set up and I'll be back to show you what we need done.
Sounds good, where can we put our bags and things?

(01:46:07):
He points towards the far cabin on the right.
You can't see it's around the right, he says.
You can get set up over there and I will be with you
momentarily. Thank you.
And what was your name? I wrote his name down.
I have a name for him. Oh, catch him off guard today,
Not. Me not, I said the DM for once

(01:46:27):
in my life. It's not John Lumberjack.
Yes. What he's like those is like
when I when I named him, I was like John Woodman.
Stupid. No.
Accurate. This was this is, this is, this
is Aaron. Aaron.
Yeah, Aaron, he reaches out. He's I'm Aaron, by the way.

(01:46:50):
Nice to meet you. Aaron shakes your hand.
Grass with both hands. Very firm grip, very does not
hold back even though you're a lady and he goes, all right,
well, go set up over there and we'll be with you momentarily
and walks back into the other house.

(01:47:10):
Car starts walking to the cabin. Is anyone else going?
No follow. You might as well.
Yeah. No, I like it real fast.
Yeah, they'll like Zoom. So yeah, you walk, you walk into
the cabin and it's just like a A2 room.
Cabin ones, obviously they're about the same size with a, a
small dividing wall in between. There's a door frame, but no

(01:47:31):
door. And it's like a, a linen cloth
over the door frame to provide some kind of privacy.
It's a pretty spacious cabin. I mean, it can definitely
accommodate all of you pretty easy.
You can tell like this is like a, a bunk cabin, you know what I
mean? But it's essentially bare.
There's nothing in it. There's probably bed that's on
one side and a table or two. So yeah, yeah, that's what you

(01:47:52):
see in front of you. You do hear rustling from the
other side of the curtain though, I mean.
Knock on the the door that's probably been opened already.
You hear you hear someone straining to get up and and you
see a a a short squat dwarf poking through the the linens
and he goes company. New recruits.

(01:48:14):
At least for the night, yes. For the night, the best kind of
recruits and we don't have to worry about you dying on our
watch. And he laughs and claps you on
the back, but his version of theback is essentially right.
You just got your ass crabbed. It happens.
Looking at this dwarf, he's average dwarf height, you know,
at 3 1/2 four feet. He's got a youthful appearance

(01:48:38):
with basically like shaved head hair braided into a ponytail.
He's blonde and he's got a scraggly blonde beard, blue
eyes. But you do notice the striking
feature about him is that he's missing one of his legs and he
has a peg. I say hi in dwarven.
He perks up immediately, goes wonderful, and he leans in for

(01:49:00):
the sacred dwarven handshake. There's a various amount of
movement back and forth. It's different every time.
You guys cannot tell, but you nail it expertly.
And he laughs full belliedly. And he goes.
It's been so long since I've gotten to do that.

(01:49:23):
So you can put your stuff in this room.
If you're staying for just the night, I would prefer if you
don't go to the other room. That's my room.
I live in this cabin permanently.
I oversee it. So.
Fair enough. Yeah.
He looks at you and the egos. I'm stumpy, by the way.
Amy goes to shake on your hands.Quite literal, isn't it?
Well, that's obviously not my real name, but it's the stump is

(01:49:43):
it's hard to miss. That's fair.
Well. That's Stumpy.
Maynard bless you, Stumpy. He like, perks up at Maynard's
like it's been a long, long timesince I've heard anyone to speak
that name. I think the last time I heard
that was my father. Is that so?
That was well before the cataclysm.

(01:50:07):
I knew his worship wasn't that popular outside of my town, but
I didn't think it was. That's like.
Dumbstruck when you're just talking about this and he's like
worship of most things doesn't exist anymore but if and he
leads it close but he goes but if there is a God, he's
definitely a dwarf and he wins to you and he bats the.

(01:50:29):
Other night I can agree with that.
I. Didn't look.
I don't want to whisper to whoever is next to me and be
like he didn't look like a dwarfto me.
Who is that? Oh yeah, I'll let you guys
decide who's next to Eon for that one for that banger.
It wants Lord drop. I assume like, as it stands, I'm
the one closest. Yeah.

(01:50:50):
Oh, you. Hear.
That no elaboration, he goes. Well, I'm sure that hey, Ron,
we'll, we'll come by and pick you guys up and tell you what
you need to do. But when you're ready for
dinner, I'll be making that. We really appreciate it.
Thank. You we're ready now.
We appreciate you. Well, you got some.
Work on We have to work. 1st. OK.

(01:51:13):
We're. Just going to get hungrier, you
know, so. Poodle tastes better after a
little. Hard.
We call it working up an appetite.
This one gets it, although they don't look like they've worked a
day in their life. No offense, ma'am.
Oh. Please.
May I and I? I ask for Stumpy's hand.
Yeah, he gingerly gives you his hand.

(01:51:34):
So I, I say I, so I serve those in ways that can serve me in
ways I cannot. And I I take his thumb and I
wrap it around my like I wrap myarm around it and I pull his
thumb and pop it. Like a chiropractor.

(01:51:55):
Yeah, yeah. It's like you'll know how I
learned how to do this later. I can roll for it if you want.
I'm. Just curious if it if it's good
or not for him. Well, is it good for you?
If he's someone who works with his hands.
Regularly I I you're old advantage for this time if you
know what you're doing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
OK, cool. I want to make sure I get my

(01:52:16):
stats right. Here.
Let me get my character sheet up18.
Yeah, so the thumb like bends and pops me up.
Oh, whoa. And he starts like flexing his
hand and he goes, wow, can you do that to any other part of me?
I'm just kidding. He claps you on the back.
And this time he does clap you, Claps you on the back for sure.

(01:52:40):
Stumpy, you're enthusiastic. You know that gold is dumpy,
right? I hope I don't.
He looks a little sad at that guy and he goes, well, maybe
you'll find out. And he turns and he flicks open
the the curtain and walks back into his room.
Car picks a bed and throws her packed down.

(01:53:03):
Yeah, there's enough beds for all of you.
You don't have to share it. It's not going to be a cabin.
Rubs out her her calves after walking all day while waiting.
I don't think I'm going to put my stuff down.
I'd say we're quite lucky to have found this place so far.
Yeah. It's basically impossible to
miss. You just follow the river.
You hit us. That does appear to have been a.

(01:53:24):
Case and it says like you can hear that from across the wall.
Fair enough. Well, been a while since I've
been on one of these and it's just pressed on the bed.
I'm I'm thinking I. Used to caves.
Do you? Do you really want to?
Sleep on the bed or would you rather sleep on the ground?

(01:53:46):
I like crawl onto the bed, like really weird, you know, like,
you know, it's just confused kind of how you get.
How much bigger than the bed are?
You they're for like normal people and you're 7 feet, so you
stick about half about like 2 feet.
Yeah, it's like a twin sized mattress for like.
Knees bend at the end of the bedand your feet are firmly on the

(01:54:08):
ground. They say, you know, I don't have
a lot of experience with caves, but I do with dark alleyways.
I think that can be kind of similar right it?
Was not fun. That is fun.
If you hear a knock at the door and Aaron, Aaron, Aaron, I'm
just going to call him Aaron. Aaron is standing at the door

(01:54:29):
with another man and he goes. I don't know what to call you
guys. Fellers.
We'll just say fellers. Fellers good enough.
This is the foreman, my brother Milo.
And Milo steps in, and he's a strapping young man, a little
older than his brother. You can clearly see a family
resemblance. What?

(01:54:50):
Humans. Yeah, they're humans.
You can clearly see a family resemblance.
Pretty much the same build. He's his hair is shorter.
It's cut pretty, you know, cropped, and it's red, and he's
got a full beard. And he goes.
I hear you're looking for a place to stay tonight.
Yes, yes. Well, as my brother explained,
you're more than welcome to, butwe do have a couple rules and we

(01:55:11):
do need some help. Is that acceptable?
Yes, of course he. Goes First rule, absolutely no
stealing. There's not much to steal around
here, but if you find something worth it, don't.
We don't have much. Second rule, we need help.
You will be chopping some wood and hauling some wood.

(01:55:32):
Obviously, we are a logging camp.
That implies moving logs. If you want to earn your place
here tonight, I need you to fillup the wagon for us.
And he looks at Ron Haran. He goes.
I don't think that'll be very hard for some of you.
If others of you would like to make yourself helpful in other
ways, I'm sure there's other things around the camp that

(01:55:53):
could be helpful if you don't feel like doing physical labor,
just make sure you do your part,he says.
I'm sure Stumpy wouldn't mind some help in the kitchen.
Otherwise, chopping wood, cleaning up the grounds or
fetching water or moving the thethe logs into the wagon would be
helpful. And lastly, if everything goes
as planned, we'll provide you with a meal tonight, breakfast

(01:56:15):
tomorrow, and a ride to River Run.
Is that acceptable? Sounds great to us, Absolutely.
Sounds perfect. Wonderful.
If you need me, I will be in themain office.
I have matters to attend to. I bet you would do.
And I will see you at dinner. And he bows politely, and he
walks back to the office, leaving Aaron there.

(01:56:38):
And Aaron goes. So which?
Who wants to? Who wants to do what?
Is the breakfast continental? To the buffet.
It's local to this forest only, OK.
I suppose we'll be the chopping team for sure.
Right, I'll, I'll leave that up to you, but I need, I need any

(01:56:59):
gestures to a few wood piles that are not small.
They're they're lumber. It's large, heavy, hard work.
And he goes, I need the wagon full of that lumber and the
lumber's already cut. He's like.
Otherwise there are smaller trees.
If you'd like to cut some down and help with clearing the
grounds. You are more than welcome.
We use some of you can fetch water and some of you can help
with dinner. I let me know what you would

(01:57:22):
like to do. I think Stumpy and I already
work well together. Stumpy goes yeah, we do, from
the other. Side we are.
Cart stretches and I'll help load up the cart.
I'll chop some trees. They're.
Just like, yeah, you know, you know where I'll be.
I I know my, you know. Awesome and.

(01:57:46):
Eon water. Job eon we need.
Water. All right, well.
Said Aaron distributes the utensils that you'll be using.
He obviously gives you guys axesand change to help move the the
the logs. He points you in the right
direction and he hands you a couple buckets and one of those
things that you wear, I don't recall they wear around your

(01:58:06):
neck for the bucket. And he points you towards the
kitchen, which is in the main room as well in the in the other
and he goes, all right, well, we'll meet back here at dinner
time. Until then, you have your roam
in the place. Thank you.
Thank you and. If you want, we can do some
checks to see how well you guys, how efficiently you guys help.

(01:58:27):
Anyone who's cutting wood, just give me a check for cutting out.
Our Way of Strength is probably fine for cutting wood.
If you're hauling wood, give me a strength check.
Everyone who's doing Mandy Ward, give me a strength check.
If I do like an attack, roll instead.
That's fine. Yeah, I do that if you're
attacking, yeah. I got a 14 for Holland, OK. 9.

(01:58:48):
Woody. Unless you want me to count
athletics, then it's 11. How you roll so low, it's like
your best thing. Happened last time.
Yeah, he rolled low. Yikes.
Alright, well, yeah, I mean, it's good.
I feel like you're a little sluggish from this long trek
that you guys have been on. And it's not while you're

(01:59:08):
optimistic about getting the jobdone and helping, just you're,
you're pretty burnt out. Like the tank is pretty empty.
You almost. Died early, yeah.
So like while you guys are doingthe work, it's not as fast as
you initially intended or what you would have liked, but you
are getting it done at a slow pace.
Somehow, unbeknownst to everybody, because Ian's

(01:59:30):
unsupervised, they're really good at getting water, I rolled
a 17. You're just like running back
and forth. You're filling up like bucket
after bucket after. Water.
It's honestly more water than anyone needs in the near future,
but you're really fucking good at it.
Hell. Yeah.
Brother. You get, you're like just sat on
a task. You're like, hell yeah, I got

(01:59:51):
this. And what are you doing?
I figured I I would be helping Stumpy to make whatever he is
making more efficiently. So any sort of like fetching
ingredients or preparing or chopping things up, you know,
little busy work tasks in the kitchen.
Yeah, yeah, he has some prep work.
He's like getting gut onions. Certainly can't do an onion

(02:00:14):
knife that's far too big for you.
It's like more of a small sword. And be like, do you mind out my?
Dagger he goes. Don't feel very.
However, you're accountable and you set to work slicing and
dicing some onions and soon enough there is a beautifully
bubbling pot of of soup on the stove and fresh baked bread in

(02:00:36):
the oven. The air, the aromatics are
feeling the air around the, the,the the logging cabin and it
smells great. Honestly, you guys are starting
to smell it as the light starts to dim in the background and you
can tell that you're almost done.
You're very close to done with the the work for the evening.
Nice light. Effect.

(02:01:00):
I'm chopping them trees real good.
Cara stops and stretches a little bit.
Ron, you're, you're looking a little less perky than I would
expect. How are you doing?
Just don't have my strength today I guess.

(02:01:24):
I mean, you did almost die earlier, so.
You guys are having this conversation as you're dragging
the the last log to the cart. All right on three.
All right, 123. Heave a log into the cart and
the cart groans almost like a satisfied groan of of being

(02:01:47):
almost 2 full but perfectly stable at the same time.
And with that Milo exits. Out of the the the building it
goes. Wow, great job everybody.
Thank you so much for your help.As we discussed dinners on us,
any gestures to the hall where dinner has been prepared and

(02:02:09):
tables have been set? You're.
Gonna call Eon who's still running.
Back and forth, running back andforth.
I think you have to physically go get Eon.
Like the water basin's full and like just keeps dumping.
Water into it anyway. Fish on the ground around there,
catching fish. The Fantasia of magic brooms.

(02:02:30):
But I'm done. I just want to take the action.
Just throw it into a nearby tree.
Yeah, it'll look. Cool spins and like hits right
in the center of a tree super cool, although the lumberjacks
like turn and go one of them whoyou haven't seen before comes
around the corner and he's. Clapping.
Wow, who's the new people? I've been cutting wood over

(02:02:52):
here. Amen.
And, and like if Milo looks at him and he goes, have you been
slacking off again? And he goes, no, I help with the
wood and the the wagon spool. I did that.
And he looks at you guys for like, help me.
Oh yeah, he's been. He's been chilling with me all
day. And Milo stares at him and he

(02:03:16):
goes, Tim, if I find out you're slacking off again, you're going
straight back to River Run. He goes, I haven't, I, I haven't
been slacking off been helping. Very helpful.
Let's get some dinner. Yeah, I'm super.
Hunting the walk up to him. Tim, it's important to do your

(02:03:37):
part. I, I Who the fuck are you?
Persuasion or intimidation? I think I'm like saying that
like very in, like very kindly, just like it's important to do
your part, you can. Notice that Tim is like a
younger. Person.
To teen, very, very young teen man Tim is He's got scraggly

(02:03:58):
beard, he's clearly younger. He's trying to grow it out.
His muscles are less defined. Kids these days you're.
Not my dad. You're not my real dad.
His. Voice cracks a little bit.
And you can tell he's probably like 16 cops and he, he walks in
front of you guys. He he pushes, he kind of like
pushes you aside and gets in there in front of you just to be

(02:04:19):
a Dick. I don't.
I don't miss dealing with teenagers.
I don't miss dealing with teenagers.
You guys hear licks say that under their breath as you all
walk into. Bile licks on the back.
Lovely, you move the map and we just all appear in the building.
Bile counts a lovely looking dinner.
Lim Stumpy this smells amazing. You guys killed it.

(02:04:43):
Yeah, me and the wee laughs workwell together, he says with a a
smile that almost betrays that they were cooking.
Like, you get it. It feels more intimate than it
should be. The food is and Lim Lim looks to
Stumpy for assurance savory, butthe chef is sweet.

(02:05:07):
Like and he blushes like bright red and he he takes out a a a
tanker and he hands it to every single person and starts to fill
it with ale. That was cute and disgusting at
the same time. Thank.
You and this is. This is like a a a solid dwarven
ale with a really good like likea meat soup, some kind of soup

(02:05:28):
with onions and the. Stew.
I got like a Stew and. Then there's a Stew.
And there's Freshly. Braked there's.
Freshly baked bread, it's like almost artisan.
It's got like Rosemary in it with like olive oil drizzle and
there's some honey butter on theside.
Kind of fucking hungry. You can tell smaller hands
placed all the Rosemary petals. They're like.

(02:05:52):
How carefully did you did you make the I was?
Enjoying myself. Yeah, this is as far as it goes.
This has been a very solidly like good day for you guys and
it's ending with good meal with good company.
So you guys start to eat and if you guys want to talk about
anything, now's the time. How long are you guys out here

(02:06:13):
and I assume you don't work through the winter or do?
You, oh, the winters are not super harsh around here, so we
stay in River Run for most of the harshness of the, you know,
the very bad months. Then we come back as soon as we
can and start it up again. This is me and my brother's
lumber camp. It was my father's before that.
Milo gestures to his brother Aaron, and he goes, yeah, dead,

(02:06:33):
dead. Timber Log Logger Camp has been
in my family for years. Dead Timber is quite a name.
Yeah, that's the name of the forest.
Did he point to the forest because you came out of there?
Did you not know where you were?As a matter of fact, why were
you in there? What's winter?

(02:06:54):
We don't want to take the road. Why wouldn't you take wait, OK,
the road that goes straight through the forest.
We didn't take the road. We.
What do you mean you didn't takethe road?
It's very boring. We started on the road I.

(02:07:17):
Trust that road. Trouble found us.
And Milo stares at you, and is he?
He's like, stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
And he goes. He goes shut up.
Little guy. It wasn't our trouble to be in.

(02:07:38):
Good answer. And he he turns away from you
and sips his his ale. We haven't had the greatest luck
today per SE, but we made it here.
We're all alive, That's all the matter.
We all look at Ron. Ron.
I fucking hate sand. If you hate sand, you'll hate
where where I was last winter. He's eating some soup.

(02:08:01):
Milo says that. Where were you last winter?
Oh, I was, I took the winter offbecause, you know, we think we
spend the hardest much river on and I we made quite a bundle
last year. So I decided why not explore a
little bit? I only get to be on this point
in the distance once. So you would ask about, He's
like, if you hate sand, you'll hate where I was last winter and

(02:08:22):
then you guys were asking about.Where?
Where where you go? Oh, you know, we made a a large
amount of money. So I decided to take a take some
time to myself and you travel a little bit.
So I went to the I had to figureout what direction it was far,
far West and I, I explored some of the, the wishing ways and if

(02:08:49):
anyone wants, they can make a check.
I don't know, kind of check geography, you know?
Was that was. That.
You got to fuck that. Yeah, you have.
No, you have no idea. It wasn't where I was.
So that. Was what I was.
Checking 2 gang, Let's go. 11. 11 OK, you're closer.

(02:09:13):
You. I don't feel like you really
left Alderay very much before this.
Like you know why? Yeah.
Yeah, you got essentially teleported to this continent.
So yeah, yeah, you definitely have no idea where this is.
Yeah, I got an 11. So you you and Ron or Ron have
both heard of the wishing waste in passing.

(02:09:34):
You do know that it is the desert of Carlos?
Like it's just a giant desert. Pretty much past river run a
couple 100 miles, you run into the the wishing beat start of
the wishing waste and the wishing waste goes pretty much
spans the entire middle of the continent up into a mountain
range. Makes sense geographically.

(02:09:59):
Good job, dude. Dude, I made a you should see
the whole map I made like there's like on the other side
of the wishing ways, there's a jungle and then the coastline.
So it comes out. I I fucking remember science
class, bro. I don't even have to look it up.
I'm so proud of. But yeah, that that's
essentially how you do know that.
I think it's I forgot the mountain range.

(02:10:20):
I think it's the Abalinian mountain.
That might be the other one. There's a mountain range there.
It's got a name. The rocks go up.
The Wishing Wastes. The rocks go up.
It was interesting. I didn't really get what I
wanted out of it. No, no wish granting.
No do. You are you.

(02:10:41):
Aware of the tails. Can't say that I am I've.
Only, and at this point, Milo stands up and sound a little bit
to drink and he starts to sing ajaunty tune essentially.
I am immediately joined in. Don't know the words but I start
joining in. Totally humming, he starts to
it's like a it's like a basically a song about the

(02:11:02):
explanation of why the wishing ways is called the wishing Ways.
And it's like gin used to roam the the desert.
And if the theory is if you catch 1, you could wish for
anything you wanted. And so the whole area is called
The Wishing Ways. And yeah, it's just like a,
yeah, a folksy song, Acapella Lee, sung by a drunken man in a
logging cabin. And I want that to be like where

(02:11:23):
it fades out. And then the next scene that we
have is is you guys cleaning up and walking towards your cabin
for the night. Definitely as good as it smells,
it was delicious. Thank you very much for that.
Yes. That's what food tastes like.
Who's helping clean up? Yeah.

(02:11:46):
Yeah. Much better than.
Car helped to gather plates and has brought it over to where
they get. Stumpy's in the in the kitchen,
Worst in the dishes. I'm just holding the water.
You're. Very proudly holding a bunch of
water that you got. Yeah, trying to assist him, but

(02:12:08):
it mainly just holding the wateryou're.
Doing great less. Afraid of water now?
Apparently I will be 17 and 9. Right, awesome.
So just. Yes.
I. Can't for the viewers listening
at home, yes, we'll. Just do that.
Some of you are still in the in the thing, some of you are in
the cabin. Just let me know who's.

(02:12:29):
Fuck. OK, well.
Are you still? There.
Finishing up. You seem like the helpful type.
Clerics. You noticed that everywhere.
You can't stop till the task is done.
I prefer that you for getting killed.
Milo walks. And you don't know if I would

(02:12:51):
have gotten killed. Milo walks away and goes to his
office door and says, in the morning we'll give you breakfast
and a ride to River Run. But you guys have been amazing
guests. And he stumbles into his office
and he closes the door and you can hear him fall, fall down on
what sounds like possibly furniture.
And his brother Aaron looks overand he goes, He sleeps in there

(02:13:14):
a lot. He's fine.
And he goes, well, I will also be going to bed.
And then he, he looks around andhe goes, He notices that you
haven't drank any of your ale. And he just grabs your cup and
he just brings it to his bed. And he sits down at his bed and
falls over, singing the Wishing Way song to himself.

(02:13:35):
And then like he sleeps weirdly in the bed like a cat on on the
sheets. And then Tim goes over towards
the the bed by the door and starts setting up for the night.
And have you seen a bed before? Only the the ones that swing.

(02:13:56):
Those are fun. This is not quite that.
No, no. Were you guys?
Talking in the are you? You're still in the.
Yeah, well, if if Eon is holdingthe water.
Yeah, Stumpy's almost done washing dishes.
And he goes, all right, I shouldbe all of it says so we could go

(02:14:16):
back to our cabin and let these fellas get some sleep.
We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.
And Stumpy starts walking acrossthe grounds back towards the
other cabin. Yep, there's the door and enters
his room and he goes. I bet you goodnight you can hear

(02:14:39):
him slashed down on his bed. Are you guys in the other cabin?
I'm going to move this if you are
there. All right, awesome.

(02:14:59):
So we're all in a you have time now to to get ready for bed.
Do what you need to do before bed.
Just let me know if you're doinganything spectacular or what's
what's the the dealio. What's the weather like?
Tonight the weather is incredibly clear.
There is not a cloud in the sky.It is cool.
It's like a 69° night. Stars are shining.

(02:15:22):
Moon is is half full. Second moon is fully full.
It's Fahrenheit cannon. Yeah, yeah, it's different.
Though, OK. It's it's made for a guy named
Fahren who measured the temperature and his height.
He's a giant. Cool. 12 fahrens high is how.
Old How's the weather up there, Fahren?

(02:15:45):
On the spot made that up was great.
Yeah. So you can momentarily you, you
hear, you know, the the bubblingof the water as it flows past
the cabin. It's it's honestly super
calming. Well, we had quite a day.
I'd say it's a little less exciting than the day before,

(02:16:09):
but we had a good hard day's work and I am quite ready for
sleep. I haven't had a meal that good
in ages. I'm ready to rest.

(02:16:31):
Before lying down to sleep, Lymrans takes off her Leathers
and straps and otherwise survival related gear for the
first time since showing up to the camp and steps outside to
the water for a moment. You hear?

(02:16:53):
You see limericks, You leave your stuff inside or.
Yeah. OK, so Limerick strips and steps
outside and walks over to the the water and you hear them
start to wade and do it. It's like, you know, it's dead
quiet, you're buzzing, and then you hear the.
Slight change in the burbling ofthe water, Yeah.

(02:17:17):
Anyone want to do anything else or explain what they're doing in
the waterfall? Ian is laying down trying to
sleep for the first time in the bed.
Huge. How how you doing?
Their eyes are closed in the bed.

(02:17:37):
Put it that way. Have you?
I'll say whatever and probably around like 2-3 AM they like
just wake up, they go outside and do the little start dance.
Where are you doing the start dance at?
A nice area right here you. Want to move to get character

(02:17:58):
there. Blue.
Does anyone wake up when yeah gets up?
Anyone a light sleeper? I.
Think I am always sleeper. Who's that?
What's that? Not really.
So yeah, you would. I guess you would hear beyond
get up. And walk outside.
I would notice but not care to do anything.

(02:18:20):
Just roll over. Yeah.
I'm gonna, I'm gonna go to like a window or something and take a
peek. I don't know, looks like Tai
chi. You say you did you want to
describe what you're doing? Tai chi So.
Descriptive. Very helpful.
Wow. Huge.
Describe Tai chi to someone who's never.
Seen. Oh man, that sucks.

(02:18:42):
First of all, I'm glowing. That's part of Tai chi, yeah.
Glowing Tai Chi. Glowing on the inside, you got
to glow from the inside. Oh, got.
You can't wait. I can do it.
I. Can just move it.
There you go. Yeah, that's handy.
But it's They're like slow yoga poses in the form of a dance in

(02:19:09):
a not very big circle, but directed at the stars.
I. Think I'm going to watch for a
moment in curiosity. That is Tai Chi.
Tai Chi as explained by Aeon on the podcast.
Thank. You.
Step one, blowing. Oh shit, really slow yoga.

(02:19:31):
Slow yoga. Yoga.
Dance. Yoga.
Dance. Yeah, I'm just going to watch
for a bit and curiosity and thenprobably kind of wander back to
sleep. I don't want to go and disturb
them, I don't think. You've ever seen anything quite
like it? I don't think so either.
Don't. Like to react to that.
I think. I think it is just like mostly

(02:19:53):
curiosity, you know? There we go.
Yeah, yeah, that greeny yellow color.
Perfect. Yeah, Lakes hasn't seen a ton of
the world on side of the city. How far do you go?
Is it 5 feet? It's like an EDI.
Pretend fast. That's not so for everybody who

(02:20:18):
doesn't know whatever. Our video, our instrument
shitted out so you can't really see the map very well, but I
made the glowing effect happen. In a 5 to 20 foot radius.
So choose how big you want to how, Let me know.
It's pretty bright. I'm not worried.
I'm not hiding. Yeah.
Cool. This is beautiful Full moon.
Oh, yeah, it's pretty bright. Nice bright glow. 8I don't know.

(02:20:44):
It doesn't know how to do right. It looks fine.
It looks good. It's a good glow.
All right, so yeah, there's a glow emulating off of that.
And how long do you do this for? That's the rest of my long rest.
Cool. Are you in a trance or are you
aware of your? Surroundings I do not need to
sleep, but I gained the benefitsof the long rest.

(02:21:06):
I work for stars. I remain alert and aware of my
surroundings. I have an advantage of my next
intelligence check related to the stars, constellation or the
weather. OK, cool.
At one point, about an hour, andyou're doing your dance, you
start to hear the cabin door over here open the other cabin

(02:21:27):
and you hear footsteps groggily walking out and then out of the
corner I you see see Tim drunkenly stumbling past you and
he's like, what the fuck? I don't I got to take a piss and
you see he he starts to walk past you and walk over.

(02:21:50):
Here, I mean, he's, I'm not, I'mnot gonna do anything.
Yeah, 'cause you Do I notice anything?
Seems like he's going. To.
Take a bit. And then I'm not.
Gonna Yeah. After a couple minutes, you hear
footsteps. You hear him stopping.
You hear. Does he come back?

(02:22:17):
Suddenly. No.
There is a loud scream. No, I will.
I'm going to immediately go overthere curdling screech.
Yeah, I'm going to run over there.
Does. Anybody wake up?
I definitely wake the. Fuck up, Yeah.
My move, the glow. I OK, I'm awake.

(02:22:39):
Push Ron Ron out of the bed to get him to wake up.
Start running out. Strapping armor to my.
There you go. All right.
Does anyone have darkism? No.
I don't think so. I glow so.
You can shine up to 20 feet. I'm just wondering for everyone
else. Involved.
If I remember correctly, none ofus do.

(02:23:01):
That is a huge exploit. I'm not aware of have wait no
things. Are gonna get crazy.
Because you can't see in the dark.
Cool. All fights are now at night.
Weird how that works. No one else's dark rhythm.
It'd be under racial trades. No.

(02:23:23):
No. All right, so you run out into
the dark, all you see is eons light glowing.
You said there was 2 full moons. There's two full moons.
It is. It is not dark, out, dim, dim.
Light here, let me you. Do not need a flashlight for two

(02:23:44):
full moons. There was.
No flashlights anyways, but it'sit's it's AI said that it was it
was a Crescent moon and a full moon.
Don't. That's enough.
It's one full moon. It's.
Decently lit. Let's just say that.
Let me find the. It's lit enough to where you're
not going to immediately be blunt like.
Yeah, you don't need like dark version, but you can't see
everything. Yeah.

(02:24:05):
I'm trying to set it. Shades of Grey.
So it's it's well lit enough youhear a blood curd or screech,
you start running out. You hear everyone else in the
other building start to wake up and they start opening the door
and running out as well. The horse seems spooked.
One of them runs the horse and starts to calm it and one of

(02:24:26):
them runs up you can start to see.
My dash the rest of the way, I don't know if we're in combat.
We're not in combat currently solet me know what you guys want
to. Do I would like to dash the
other 30 feet? Stumpy comes running out.
Yeah, we all are running out. Yeah, yeah.
What's going on? Stumpy yells.
Milo goes. Where's Tim?
Where's Tim? Yeah, Did you see what happened?

(02:24:50):
I am running over there. So you go to the you point to
the direction where Tim's voice where you saw him walk to take a
piss to and there is nothing there currently.
Not he's been pissed. There is piss, there's a wet
mounted piss, and there is nothing else.
Tim, is there any? Like Tim, indicator of a

(02:25:12):
direction. There is nothing and and Milo
goes fuck, not again. What do you mean again?
He. Starts pacing back and forth and
he goes. People just keep going missing
at night. I told Tim if he had to piss,
just go out the window. Kid never listens.
And he throws something. He throws one of the buckets

(02:25:33):
that you gathered. I just figured they were
leaving. I mean, we get a lot of
travellers through here. And at that point, Aaron comes
running up and he goes, I, I, I,I made sure the horse didn't
run. Is everything OK?
And my leg goes, Tim's fucking gone.
He goes fuck. Do you have any more

(02:25:53):
information? Has there been any screaming
before this? No, we just wake up in the
morning and people are gone. But this is a you got to
understand this is a logging camp.
Like people come and go. We just figured they were
leaving in the middle of the night.
I can understand that assumption, but I don't think
that's the case in this one. We should.
I think we need to try and find him.

(02:26:13):
Yeah, we do need to eat my fucking nephew.
We need to find him. My sister's going to fucking
kill us. And at that point, you can see
that Erin's like she's going to kill us.
We're going to find him. We're going to find him.
OK. We make some torches.
I think you. Can.

(02:26:33):
I'm going to grab Eon by the hands and try to beckon them to
come with me, lend the directionthat they're going, assuming
that's where Tim's scream came from.
They said he was peeing right? Can you smell?
Can I you? Smell the pitch.

(02:26:54):
No, I'm, I'm asking. I don't know what.
This is really funny. I don't know.
If yon can smell, can you smell like a?
Investigation Chick, Yeah. Let me know what you guys are
doing. Yeah, I'm watching someone smell
piss. I'm not smelling.
I I'm. Looking to.
You were. Yeah, if you can smell a fresh

(02:27:15):
puddle of piss, Cara is. 17 for investigation.
How many do you? Have I have 10?
Who are you giving charges to? One for me and I think I'll hand
out two, two more, so 3 total. So if one of you guys wants
them. Probably run her out being the
biggest, right? Yeah, and then one for Milo or

(02:27:35):
Aaron. No one should go alone.
So we should always be in at least two people.
It's time to split the party. Let's just assume you have
vision. I'm not going to go through and
make out the lighting. Yeah, you have vision.
You can see decently. Yeah, everyone got a torch.
We're good. All right, cool.
Everyone got a torch. And what?
Who was investigating? Sorry.

(02:27:56):
That was Leon and I, yeah, we're, we're looking for where
running. Off in this direction and
looking to see where. The where Tim disappeared from.
Yeah, there's a a couple other people that are are walking
around in other area, like Aarongoes off to the left to look in
the piles over here. Stumpy's looking around his
house. Milo is heading back towards the

(02:28:18):
the water. Stick together.
Nobody listens. They are in a panic right now
and you guys are looking for Tim.
You guys move to the direction where you think that the scream
came from. After try like triangulating it
you find some some scratch markswhere it looks like almost
dragging and also it looks like piss wet ground and then like

(02:28:48):
dirt that has clearly been disturbed.
OK, can I? Follow the trail.
Can I follow the? Trail at a glance, is there any
blood? There is a small amount of
blood. OK.
But it doesn't look like someonewas like attacked, you know, it
looks like they were taken it. Looks like they get possibly
both. OK.
And sell off, you know, just a glance.
It's, well, it's definitely not like some sort of dog or bear or

(02:29:11):
something. This is animals don't follow the
track. Animals don't kidnap people.
To tell the the camp workers to stay here.
So are you guys more joining us?Yeah, I'm.
Going to so we don't have more people to try and save.
And then you're going to. Drive and car is going to yell
out to them stay here in case hecomes back.

(02:29:32):
I'm going to stay here so I don't see my sister.
She'll fuck it, kill me. Fair enough.
Full steam ahead on this trail. Do I need to like roll again?
Who's going first, although? No I it would be best to be on
one first right? Being the light literally
glowing friends. Existed.
I've never seen. OK, go work.

(02:30:01):
I would like to catch the major armor on myself.
I. Feel like it would take OK 20
years. What does that look like?
The colloquialisms to fall out of use I.
Just the full scheme of my clothes and the the light that's
glowing off of me now almost looks like it's glowing around
me too, and almost like a littlebubble of light.

(02:30:21):
And you take the lead. Yeah.
Awesome. Where are you going?
I'm following this trail. I I said that there was scratch
marks, dirt that looked unturnedand some blood and some piss.
So where are you going with that?
Yeah. Follow the.
Scratch. Do we follow the blow?
We're seeing if there's any other signs.
Yeah, yeah, that's why I asked you.

(02:30:42):
You want me to roll again to? Yeah, yeah, roll again.
OK. I'm going to give you guidance.
What does that do? You add AD four that.
Is a 16. Yeah.
So you do notice that it looks like the scratch marks just stop
like where they start and where they where they start is is

(02:31:04):
literally right on top of the the dirt that looks like it had
been moved so. Is there like just a big hole of
dirt? It's not a hole, but there's
like, you know when you like re bury something and the dirt
looks like it's moved looks likethat.
But there's no trail, huh? But.

(02:31:26):
There's a little bit of blood. Are there drag marks I to the
hole There's. No drag marks.
And I think it could be under her ground.
Or above. Yeah, it's the two options.
I want to reach down to where the ground is and see if it's
soft. I would like to look up.

(02:31:49):
What's your issue? Since I'm holding a torch, it
is. 16 The second you reach downto the ground, a large moth
grabs you and the last thing yousee before you roll initiative
is Ron arag start to get pulled down.

(02:32:10):
Damn it. And with that, I'm going to need
everybody to roll initiative. Guys, there's sand.
There's fucking sand here. Don't let me.
Fucking hell yeah. Oh, huge.
Motherfucker, this will get a surprise round.
Just, you know, all right. So dragging Ron Harag into the

(02:32:30):
ground, Giant Ma pops up a ground for a split second.
You want to put that by Ron rug all you.
See. All you see is a giant MA grasp
Ron rug and start dragging them downwards.
This is a surprise round, so they're going to take their full
action. Let me see what they can do with

(02:32:51):
that. My expertly painted boy all.
Right and. Nobody was allowed to.
See definitely saw it. So you are going to take.
I'm sorry in advance. I don't like how you said.
That. You're going to take 10 damage
slashing and then another three damage acid as you get pulled

(02:33:18):
under the earth and you get pulled.
Let's see. Suddenly you just start to go
down. You are 7 feet tall.
You are fully under the earth. You see Ron Harag's legs dip
below the earth and the hole collapse in on itself and reform
and new dirt and Ron Harag is currently under the earth.

(02:33:40):
And with that it is. The ground loves to.
Swallow I. Have a vendetta against like
being on the ground. Yeah, you.
Really had to fly real play. A mostly collapsed tunnel.
Like you could definitely get through it.
It'd be difficult but like you could if you had to.

(02:34:04):
But everyone has a dig speed I'mpretty sure.
It's just not great. So Ron Herron has been taken.
Has been taken. OK, we need a crib.
I need a team. So my I would have.
Been dead. My first thing is going to be
OK, who had torches? Everybody had torches.

(02:34:25):
Everybody had torches. Yeah, everybody had torches.
OK, then I am going to dash backtoward the camp to grab to to
get the attention of the rest ofthe the logging camp.
OK, yeah, let me see how far you, what's your movement?
Speed. It's 30 feet.

(02:34:47):
So if you're dashing, that'd be 60, it'd be your full turn.
Is that OK? Yep, Yep.
Your feet would get you almost back to the cabin.
Yeah. So just say you're around a
cabin. Yeah, I'd want to go like to the
clearing where people would be able.
To see and yelling is a free action, so.
OK. So are you just screaming?
Yeah, like I, I would just be like yelling to me, to me.

(02:35:09):
Yeah, everyone in the camp hearsyou, and you can tell that
they're going to run to you on their turn.
OK. And that would be your full
turn. So now it is Lick's turn.
God, OK, It's like, what the fuck do I do in this situation?

(02:35:30):
Like I could stab down, but thatcomes to the risk of hitting on
her on. I think I'm just going to try to
start digging down in there, yeah.
Umm, I'm unsure of how dig works, so give me one second to
pull up the mechanics for that. I don't know that it's generally

(02:35:50):
super well defined. I'm sure there's something.
I'm sure somebody's come up somelittle home brew if we have to.
I would say you probably on yourturn dig like 5 feet if you use
your whole turn. But if even if I like dash and
double dash dash like that is what if I double dash?

(02:36:12):
Can you double dash? Yeah.
That'd be 10 feet then. Cool.
I that rule I rule I made-up just now.
Yeah, sure. We'll let you have it.
Yeah, if you can double dash, you would be able to dig 10
feet. But you don't know how deep he
is. You just know that, yeah, his
legs are gone. Yeah.
Be putting those kids to holes from to shame that's.
A lot of because I have coming action so that means I can dash
twice. I said 5.

(02:36:32):
I don't think that's right, but we're going with.
It yeah, it's. Reasonable.
It's probably not. Yeah.
Oh yeah, go. For it, I'm just really good at
digging. Yeah, you see the partially
collapsed tunnel where, where hewent in and if you want to use
your, your double. Bat Yeah, that's fucking good.
Go for it. Yeah, so you dig down 10 feet,
you're just double daggers fucking stabbing your and it's
easier. Like the tunnel is like it's

(02:36:55):
softer dirt than just regular dirt.
So when you're going it seems like it'd be hard, but when you
start to go, it definitely gets easier.
Runner on Romi AD 20, no additives.
What do you get 5 OK. You do.
Do I hit him? I do hit him.
Oh. No, but it's only for one
damage. You feel, you feel the the boot

(02:37:15):
hit like you hit his boot and you're like you got his leg and
you you can see his foot pumpingthrough the.
Hole so God. Damn it this forgot.
God damn broke. That is your fault there and we
got. Damsel in this we got the things
turn. You're the Princess.

(02:37:36):
It's fucking. Me now it's it's actually.
He had a surprise action and nowit's.
On her own sub baby girl help me.
You're muffled screaming, and then it's the thing's turn the
second you hit his foot. I wouldn't even make it take a
damn for that. I'm just gonna let it let it
slide. You hit his foot the second you

(02:37:56):
start to grab it, it gets pulledout from your hands as you get
burrowed deeper into the earth. And Ronrog?
Suddenly you went from being underground to falling as you
fall to a subterranean laser. No one else is in here.
Ronrog is in here though, so putyourself like in the.
Middle high is the ceiling. It's like a it's a small drop,

(02:38:20):
it's like 510 feet. You fall into the subterranean
layer and this thing rises up and looks at you, screeches and
then Burrows back into the the ceiling above you.
And if you look around around you, it's dimly lit.
It's not even lit. I would say it's, it's pitch
black. You have no idea what's around

(02:38:40):
you. Guessing I don't have my torch
anymore probably. Likely not.
It would have been. Snuffed.
But you do hear chittering. Oh, that's the worst sound.
Hate that sound. And with that I'm.
Listening, I promise. You got an explorers pack,
right? It's not his turn though.
Well, actually it is. Now it is your turn.

(02:39:01):
Actually, now I'm. Going to open to Cara I.
Used to have this cars after, well they have to say who has
the better dexterity bonus I think.
That's probably. Cara.
I I got a 0. So yeah, he he would go for
some. OK I see if you have an
explorers or dungeoneers kit that comes with the torch and
something to light it with. Yep.

(02:39:22):
But if you grab, you grab it on your way out to find out what
the screen was. All your stuff.
I I was realizing after he got pulled under that I took all my
gear off. You did before.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I.
Exclusively said I was putting stuff back.
On yeah, as I really did. All right, well.
You never said you took stuff off, so I'm assuming you just

(02:39:43):
didn't and you didn't either, so.
Clerics. I.
Was gonna play. Clerics.
Ian's not smart enough to take their clothes off to go to.
Rather, I didn't say anything either, but they didn't say they
brought anything exclusively. So I'm going to say at this
point, you have your sword and your.
Field and the shiny shiny. And the shiny shiny.
Armor. Who would ever take that off
like it's still shiny? What would you like to do in

(02:40:04):
this pitch black darkness? Sucker anywhere.
There's a slight clean well. I mean your second wind first
half the heck like. Go for it.
Six What does Second Wind look like?
What happens? Is it magical?
Is it just you being a man? What is it?
Hey, I mean, run her on just like he's in pain.
And it's literally just basically like getting that nice

(02:40:27):
little second win. He's just and just somehow just,
yeah. It's like in Demon Slayer where
they like huge breathing. Yeah.
When you when you stub your toe,but you ought to act cool about
it. Nothing.
Happens. OK, I'm good.
So yeah, you're just like in thedark.
You're like fuck and what else did you like?

(02:40:49):
You are currently in the dark. If you stand fully up you start
to bump your head on the ceiling.
It is a best you can tell it's probably about a six foot
ceiling. OK, so it's a pretty small space
vertically. Right, so did that thing go
back? Up.
Yeah, yeah, you heard it. Just go, Go.

(02:41:12):
You you can't see, but you heardit.
Go back into the ceiling. I would rather dig up after it
than stay in this fucking cave that I am currently.
Actually, you know what? A second with an action or a
bonus. Action.
It's a bonus action, so. You still have an.
Action. Yes, I still have an action.
Actually before I do that is so I it's pitch black in here and

(02:41:34):
all I hear is chittering, right?Yeah, that's about it.
Graping and chittering. OK, well shit, yeah, I'm gonna
go right back up after it. OK, so I said 5 feet, so it'd
still be 5 feet for you. So you start to you jump into
the ceiling and it's pretty softdirt and you start to climb your
way. You make it about what you
presume to be 5 feet, but you know that there's at least 5

(02:41:56):
feet more of dirt above you. Got you.
And that is your turn Cara back to the.
Surface Cara is currently holding a torch to help Licks
see OK and then has her Mace in her other hand and did did make

(02:42:25):
sure to grab her shield but it is it's just it's on her arm
she's not holding it really and saw Ron Ron's boot disappear and
is going to hand the torch to Lex who is bursted themselves

(02:42:46):
out a little bit there and is going to also dig can only get
about 5 feet. You already how far down?
10 feet. Yeah, so you would, if you help
dig the same hole, you would breakthrough, but you're not
digging the exact same spot where Ron, Ron, Ron said that
they followed the thing back up.The thing was not going up the

(02:43:07):
same hole it went down. So when you when you start to
dig, you realize that you just punched straight through into a
cast, a void, A void and you have a torch.
Yeah, yeah, I'm going to yell. Ron.
Ron. You hear a muffle because your

(02:43:29):
head is in and. I hear which direction it's
coming from. It sounds like because OK, so if
your head is like in the middle,it would sound like below but
next to because you dug down so like.
Right. I'm just gonna.

(02:43:52):
I'm back. America, you.
Just you just hear. Run around.
We're coming for you. And Tim, what would you like to
do? And I'm going to drop the torch
down. The torch goes and lands on the
ground and you see Tim's face lying face up, looking at you,

(02:44:20):
eyes wide with terror. Tim.
Are you alive? Tim is clearly dead shit.
Fuck. You can't see anything besides
his face, but the torch landed right next to him so.
Shit, I can't. There's not much else I can do
because, OK, yeah, the the digging was my action.

(02:44:42):
No, you got light down also smart move on to EON.
Well no eon just intelligence wise is average for wizard feel
like. They're St. smarts, about

(02:45:07):
average for a star. Feel like they would go find
like they've got rope maybe liketry and lower some rope down.
Yeah, you start to lower rope down.
The rope just falls on Tim's face.

(02:45:27):
There's now rope into the hole. The hole is is big enough for
you to go one at a time if you really needed to.
Is that my whole action? I don't know.
I would say that's probably It is probably just a bonus action
to throw a rope down. Oh, I'll go down it then.
If it's just a bonus action, yeah.
You get on the rope and you slide down, your light shining

(02:45:50):
outwardly, and for the first time you're able to see the
inside of this chasm. When you hit the bottom, your
light expels and you can see thewhole width of the chasm, which
is about, let's see, it's about like 80 feet across by, yeah,

(02:46:10):
2030 feet wide. So in this chasm you can see
first of all, Tim's body. He is completely severed in
half. And on the half of him that the
torso have, there is clear acid birds eating its way up the the
torso part. His legs are nowhere to be
found. You hear cheater ring from the

(02:46:33):
from both corners and all aroundyou you see what look to be
white stones precariously placedon top of bone mounds.
I'm gonna pull Ron Harag out of the ceiling.
Ron Harag, your legs are still hanging down from the ceiling.
Give me a strength check to see if we can pull Ron Harag out.
You don't know what's pulling you, by the way.

(02:46:55):
I'm gonna say I do. I feel like gravity is on my
side with this one. Do you want to?
Do you want to fight this or what are you doing?
Suddenly something just grabs you.
That is a solid 810. I heard all.
That and. Yeah, this is contested.
Ron Harag is not coming down. But does he knock himself out?

(02:47:18):
No. I'm gonna yell.
Get down, you hear? Eon's boy get down, but it's
muffled. Oh.
Oh. You have to wait for my turn to
get down. Yeah, OK, You're gonna have to
wait. All right.
And with that, that's gonna be Eon's turn.
We are on to the next person, which I believe is top of the

(02:47:40):
initiative, correct? Let me check.
This at the top of the. Initiative.
We're going to have something new happen that we've never had
happened before, called the layer action.
Oh yeah, this is. Something that happens when the
area itself has something happened.

(02:48:01):
So I'm going to roll a dice and we'll see what happens.
That's crazy Eon. You are down at the bottom when?
Oh. What?
I thought you just meant you aredown.
No, no, no. You're down at the.
Bottom. You're dead.
Suddenly. Suddenly you hear the kicking
increased and one of the stones in the corner breaks open as a

(02:48:26):
small parasitic looking creaturestumbles out of what appeared to
be an egg. And also around the corner comes
not one, but two. Oh God, that's bad.
I didn't move that. Oh no.
Some more of these. No, they look like that, but
smaller little babies. So there's now three of these

(02:48:50):
things coming at you, Young killing the.
Fire. And they look angry and hungry.
And with that it is. Me.
Your turn. Yeah, On your turn, the other
men converge on your location aswell.
So we'll get to that in one SEC.Sorry.
OK. Our initiative is almost a

(02:49:12):
perfect circle. She fucked it up.
These. Two, that my disasterity is
lower. All right, on your turn,
everyone meets back up with you.All right.
What would you like to do then? OK, I'm going to say Tim got
dragged down some kind of hole running up.
Hold down the same hole. We're going to need rope,

(02:49:33):
shovels, blast powder if you have it, and something to deal
with. And I look back and see if we
can see the giant monster from here.
There's nothing. There's probably a giant pile of
dirt though. There's to deal with the pile.
Of dirt. Whatever grabbed them and
brought them under. They nod and they run off in
separate directions. OK.
You know that on your next turn they will be wherever you are

(02:49:56):
with a couple of the suggested supplies.
I'm not going to say all of them, but some of them.
Yeah, I'm, I'm going to go and gather my gear.
So that would be my movement to the cabin and then I my action
to put. On your gear.
Yeah. So that's my turn all.
Right, that is your turn. We're on to.
Licks let's. Go.
There's a hole. You've seen a body.
You've seen things crawling towards your friends.

(02:50:19):
Am I? I'm going to go down there.
Heroic superhero landing. You fall into the pit of despair
right as more things shit or chatter around you Chow.
Chow. These things are angrily hissing
at you at this point. That's great.

(02:50:41):
I'm going to hurt things, probably, most likely.
Give me one second, let me let me look at some things real fast
you. Can look.
How much can't touch? I can touch.
I'm going to roll well, knock onwood.

(02:51:03):
I paid a lot of money for that wood.
That's what they sound like. OK.
All right, so there's three of them.
Yep. And then the ones right, I'll
let you place yourself what you would land right next to Tim and
and probably on top of that. Land right here.
Yep, I'm. Going to fucking.

(02:51:26):
Run. Over this?
Land. OK, I'm gonna hit that mother.
Phone. Go for it.
I hit the mic on next. I didn't mean to talk.
Not into it. Smack that.
I'm gonna smack that bitch. Don't worry.
The under the floor. Under the flow.
I'll tell you what, that was a good.
You what? I'll tell you what.

(02:51:53):
What is that, a 23, I think. Oh.
Yeah, that barely hit me. Yeah, yeah, barely.
Barely, barely, barely. And since another ally of mine
which is within 5 feet of the enemy.
Oh no, Rogue does the rogue thing.
Holy shit. I know guys, it's crazy.

(02:52:16):
We be falling out here. Imagine rogues doing rogue
things. It's four damage. 4 damage like
straight. Explain how this happens.
I'm just, you know, I do superhero land fucking like
spit, like use eon's back as like leverage, like push my back

(02:52:36):
against it, spin around, then you go like peek out from the
bottom stab. This thing screams as you sever
one of its six legs off of it and it spews a little acid in
your direction, but it doesn't hit you.
Hell yeah. But you can see that you've
definitely hurt it. I did 4.

(02:52:58):
No, I did 70. Yeah, that that hurt it a lot.
Yeah, no, same thing happens, but it looks angry.
I forgot to add my damage on mine.
Looks bloodier. And then I'm going to take my
second sword, stab it again, stab.
It again. Dual weapon 3.

(02:53:19):
Twirled to the other side, hit it with the other Oh that's the
wrong does. I'm not bad, I'm tired 19.
Yeah, and it's all damage. Barely, barely 7.
All right, finish it. Yeah, just going to kind of do

(02:53:40):
the same thing. Twirl to the other side, stabbed
sword and twist it. Nice when it dies as it falls
over and acid starts just spewing out of its holes and its
and all over the ground next to you.
It's not getting, you're not touching it, but it's definitely
there's acid there. You can tell as this thing makes

(02:54:02):
a death scream and dies. You love killing things.
That was sick with that. It is definitely someone over
there. Ron.
Ron. Ron.
Ron. Ron.
Ron, you're in this scary new environment, all right?
What is it? Your time.

(02:54:23):
Yeah, it. Should be.
It's Ron. Oh shit, yeah man.
There's. Still.
Yeah, there's still a monster. A big monster.
There's some little. Monsters.
I'm trying to find my initiativeorder.
God damn, I keep losing it. All right, Who's still at the
surface anyway? Me.
Not anywhere near. There just.
Cara. Cara's a Oh, you're still at the

(02:54:45):
surface too, Yeah. There awesome.
What's your AC? 16 All right, give me.
One SEC to see if I can. Hit that I.
Definitely could hit. That you know that's funny bitch
19 on the that's be. Cursed.
Fucking. Yeah, suddenly you feel

(02:55:06):
essentially the same thing that happened to Ron Rock.
Suddenly there is a clench around you as you start to get
pulled under the earth, and you're going to take 10
splashing damage and three acid damage.
Yeah, yeah, it hurts. Together.
Holy shit and. You're getting that's the you
guys start to hear movement above you.

(02:55:29):
It almost. Killed and now it's run around
turn. OK, so I'm still in the hole.
No, you, yeah, you got to get down.
Yeah, so I drop down. I won't like.
That's fine. You don't have to do anything
for. That falling is a free action
you. See all your friends.
Whereabouts do I fall? Right where you were.
Yeah, yeah, right. There, right next to your

(02:55:51):
friends. OK.
That's. Good.
Don't step in the acid. Right.
So it's it's lit up in. Here, Yeah, yeah, you can
definitely see. Everything OK?
Cool. Can I reach the closest thing to
attack it? Yeah.
You. Can you can move to it?
Yeah, you have full movement. It's.
Like 10 feet away. Yeah, go for an attack.
Yeah, this little thing hisses up at you and bears this little

(02:56:16):
tiny fangs. It'd.
Be cute if it wasn't trying to kill us, it's just.
Hungry. It's just hungry.
It's a hungry. I feel.
Like you're just oriented by dropping from the ceiling and
you. Yeah, that's right.
Sorry, I forgot. What is it?

(02:56:36):
Don't forget those kindnesses. Yeah, same thing.
So you're still disoriented fromdropping from the ceiling, so
you basically land and start running, and then you swing, but
you swing over its head and misscompletely.
All right. Yeah, guess I'll end my turn
with that one. Rand Cara, you are going drag.

(02:56:57):
You can make a contested grapplecheck to drag it out of the
drag. Yeah, I I am going to resist go.
For it, it's a strength check I think.
Get out of grapple. Yeah, probably strength.
They can throw 9. You do not get out of that.
You you you start to kick or punch or something and you feel

(02:57:21):
you're connecting but it just does not seem to care as you're
getting dragged further down. I'm also going to yell.
It's pulling me down. We've made it down underground.
You just hear that essentially that it's kind of muffled
though, so you might not get allof it, but you get just that
they are being pulled. When you look, no one is there

(02:57:41):
anymore. What's going on?
It's pull ground and. With that, it's a youngster.
I feel like they don't like fire.
I had to get most bugs don't. So I'm gonna I'm gonna cast fire
bolt on the one over here. Actually, I'm gonna not gonna

(02:58:05):
throw a ball of fire in our face.
I'm gonna throw it at the one over there.
A lot of. Wizards just casting.
Fireball and five foot. What this looks like is eons
pulling out one of them acorns in its pocket and is charging it
up. Inspired by the blast squirrel
and is going to try and lob a acorn at this thing that is now

(02:58:28):
on fire 13. 13 does not hit. You see the the acorn shriek
past and hit it in the chest, but it just seems to bounce
harmlessly off and fall to the ground.
Well, exoskeleton. If it you can't hit it 'cause
it'll be on fire, so it would have to go some like.

(02:58:52):
I will say it shrieks into one of the eggs on the side and
shatters it. Oh yeah, there's just going to
be something over. Here's on fire.
One of the eggs gets hit and gets lit on fire.
You can hear sizzling as the thethe unborn thing in it is is
currently burning. Still have movement.
I'm going. To move by the throat.

(02:59:13):
Just just stay back. I'm ready.
All right, with that, we are at the top of the initiative order.
So again, the ground shakes and two of the eggs hatch.

(02:59:37):
I'm going to do this one right here, and then one over here
hashes as well. All right, as two more little
guys spawn into existence through the egg shells and start
hissing and clambering towards you.
With that, we are at Lim Lim. Everyone who you sent to go get

(02:59:58):
things comes back. They are carrying shovels,
they're carrying axes, and they have no boom batter
unfortunately. They have what they have all
right. Lumber camp, not a mine, Yeah.
Right. Yeah, OK.
So I am going to talking is a free action, right?

(03:00:20):
OK, so I am going to dash back to where they were having the
the workers follow me and I'm going to go.
Now is not the time to be prideful.
If you have fought something before, you need to be part of
the fight. But if you haven't, you will get
yourself killed before anything else and we need you to dig the

(03:00:40):
rest of us out. Understood.
Stumpy goes. You ever wonder how I lost my
leg? He runs after you're holding a
an axe and the other two have. Trouble.
I've never met a dwarf that wasn't a sailor.
And yeah, they they follow you. I say you make it back to the
top of the hole, but that would be your entire turn, so.

(03:01:01):
Move. I got to move all these guys
too, and with that, it's going to be licked turn.
War. Murder.
All right. Give.
Me one second to group these guys and.
Move. Just start rolling now, you
know. Start rolling.
I'm sure you're going to be ableto hit something, so yeah.
You stabbing? You're at the top of the hole.

(03:01:24):
Stabbing. I don't.
Know which one are you stabbing just.
Choose. I was going to stab that one.
It's not going to work out. I got 10.
Yeah, you you go to swing, but Ron Harag is in the way.
He doesn't get hit, but it's hard to swing around to Goliath.
They're very large. Just imagine you trying to stab

(03:01:46):
it. It's like hitting my body.
I am going to I might have. Done this wrong.
Try. Keep going, I'm talking.
To myself, I'm going to try to hit it again with my offhand
weapon. It's like, oh, that's 23. 23 you

(03:02:10):
do hit full damage. It's a 2.
Did you roll your sneak attack damage?
I don't get sneak attack on the off hand.
That sucks. 2 damage. You take a glancing blow at the
side of its head with the hilt of your blade.
The hell yeah. Like you, you missed your first
swing and you just come back andor.

(03:02:30):
It does say once per turn I can deal with additional 1D6.
All of it. I don't know how sneak attack
works. Sounds right I.
Haven't done it yet this term. OK, so it's an extra 5.
Nice. Yeah, so instead of hitting with
the hilt, you just stab and do it and it starts to flow down
your blade. Hell yeah, brother, it's
actually. Getting cool patterns.

(03:02:53):
Yeah, that's all I can do prettymuch.
So all right, this thing does not look great.
Hell yeah. With that, it is the beast turn.
The beast suddenly comes crashing through the ceiling,
towing Cara in and Lance. Yeah, we'll land him over there.
And then looks at all of you andgoes and then runs away and

(03:03:16):
crashes through the wall and starts turning up again.
Bro's got. To stop and catch some damn
things like all right. Deal with down here first.
Sorry, that's. What that is?
Run around kissed if we kill allits babies.
Run around all. Right, the one in front of you.

(03:03:37):
Damn it, there's another one that's not at all.
Yeah, yeah, after. The one that's.
Already hurt right in front of you.
Can't miss it right there. Right there.
Right there, if you guys leave some alive, I can do more
damage. There's plenty.
Of gaming. There's plenty of life.

(03:03:57):
Oh, I'll hurt him, hurt him realgood.
I'm. Doing here, I go kill him again.
I'll kill him. Yeah, plus another 2, so 7.
Hey Round Rock, finish this little guy.
Oh, just want to go for a nice clean slice, you know, bring out

(03:04:21):
my sword and just shing and justright in half like.
Yeah, it's like anime style. It slips and then it just slides
off as acid pulls on the ground. And that one has been.
Just that acid off my sword witha nice little.
Popping them on the head. And that is your new environment

(03:04:43):
with friends. Holy shit.
This is the first time you've heard car swear.
Car, it's going to be OK. It hurt.
Yeah, I thought I was playing itwrong and I looked at it and I I
was playing it right. That is how much damage you take
if you could grab it. Yeah, that is.

(03:05:03):
I'm not even the plan to do its full anger potentially.
Yeah, I was going to say that was brutal for me.
And Cara takes the second to settle herself.
And then what you guys see is she brings her shield hand to

(03:05:25):
her holy symbol and then hits the warhammer against the
shield. And it sounds like a a deep
cacophony of bells. I think one of us, one of you,
might have heard a little bit ofit for during our first fight.
I also use Toll of the Dead. Yeah, and then Toll of the Dead
is going to hit. There's three in there with you

(03:05:52):
right now and technically you don't know where the other thing
is, so. Yeah, so that one not
necessarily near the rest of thegroup.
It has to succeed a Wisdom saving throw go.
To stats real quick, where are? You and I'm so sorry.
Where the fuck? Is this wisdom saving there?

(03:06:14):
Oh yeah, it's bad. One side just rolling that 20
which I did not. For.
I got a 2 which nails. Yep, and then so it takes 1D8 of
damage. 220 same number. It's in the. 20.
Two NT a lot of damage you did. That's a lot of damage.

(03:06:37):
That a lot of that's a. Lot of damage.
One whole unit. One whole damage a.
Loud bonging noise I assume happens in this thing's mind it
hold it starts holding its its head like this and moves back
and forth for a second but then stops and then looks up at you
angrily. Yeah, and that's my action.

(03:07:01):
All right, you got movement if you'd like to try to get.
I'm going to back up to the restof my compatriots.
You feel you see Cara join the fray with that.
I keep losing my fucking yeah I'm.
Going to try and just throw another acorn at the that one.

(03:07:24):
Go for it you. Know I did not hit it.
Yeah, I feel like it just bounces off The Cave while your
aim is not super great. Sorry about that.
That's OK, I'm going to move. Wait.
Actually, I'll. Stay there is the ropes right

(03:07:49):
here, right? Yeah, I'll stay there.
And I think that is. My turn.
All right, top of the initiativeorder.
No eggs hatched this turn. They shudder for a second like
they're going to hatch and none of them do.
It is a limbs turn up back on the surface with your three

(03:08:11):
friends, alien Starship Troopers.
So you said two of them. You'd like them to start digging
correct yes. So above you you you hear
shouting and then you see the hole starting starting to widen
above you and widen. How do you want them to dig it?
Like just circular around like? As as wide as possible so that
like as they're digging in, we can see what's going on more.

(03:08:34):
OK, yeah, so they they widen thehole.
I'll say another five. I mean they're both digging on
side so I don't know how that would work but I'm bad at.
Max now a 15 foot hole. Yeah, it's a big hole.
You can see a lot. And what would you like to do?
The first thing I'm going to do is acknowledge Stumpy like well.

(03:08:57):
After you last. After me, ladies first, right?
It's he. He reaches out and he he grabs
you and he gives you a kiss on the cheek and jumps into the
whole axe raise. A little luck check to see if he
just smashes one of the ones below.
He does not, unfortunately, be so sick, but he falls into the
whole yeah, and he he lands on the bottom and he will get to

(03:09:21):
fight on the next turn or on theon this turn.
We'll let him fight. When?
After you decide. Fuck yeah, Stumpy.
Stumper. Love and Stumpy's energy give.
Him an initiative. He's going to share an
initiative. Stumpy's not.
I'm going to ask the other two Do you need anything here or can
I go? Go.
All right. And then I head down.
You fly down and we'll let you position yourself and Stumpy.

(03:09:45):
All right, Put yourself where you want and put Stumpy where
you want. OK, I I'm.
Happy. I would just move in the middle
of everybody. Stumpy is.
Right. And I figure, yeah, Stumpy would
take an outward position be being more aggressive.
Like here. Yeah, that makes sense to me
all. Right.
Cool. I'm gonna allow you also would
have an action and so would he. So I'm assuming you would like

(03:10:07):
him to attack. Yeah.
Stumpy's getting hit. Oh, huge.
Somebody better hit because it'snot me.
Stumpy swings his axe and cuts off one of the the bug's legs.
It screens the same taking 2. Damage.
Would you say that Stumpy would be perhaps slightly closer like?

(03:10:30):
Like to the bug? Yeah.
Probably no reason at all that I'm asking that all.
Right, he's got a mainly weapon that's a 5 foot range.
He's not a. Large creature.
I'm asking for a friend. I'm going to hit it with a
vicious mockery. Well, do I hit?

(03:10:53):
Yeah. That's partially damaged to go
for one of the ones we haven't. I'm going, I'm going for the one
that's stumpy. Yeah.
Is it how does? Because it's because it's it's
psychic damage. Hey Bug, it says your.
Mother was a. Target within 60 feet that can
hear you must make ADC 14 wisdomand.
You're good. You're.
So good at. It so I have to make ADC 14

(03:11:14):
wisdom. They don't have to understand
what you're saying. Yeah, that fails horribly, so go
ahead and do damage. OK, I'll roll for damage here.
Let. Me, know what you say.
Your mother was a worm. Fucking rude first of all.
OK, we got a 2. Which one are you?
Hitting this one here. All right, gotcha.

(03:11:36):
So because it is more animalistic, I I going less for
an insult and more for just being scary.
So I sort of snarl at it. Pathetic.
It kind of cringes for a second and then starts getting back up,
but it does take the two damage and with that we are on the
licks. So I'm gonna run up.

(03:11:59):
I saw. I'm gonna run up.
I just said I started black. That was just.
Fade. Bro.
That was that was hard to say it.
Came out so natural. Take my sword.
I'm gonna take a swing. Swing.
Swing at him. That's a 17.
That hits do damage. Hell yeah brother, that is 12

(03:12:25):
damage. Finish it.
I think I'm just going to take my sword, flip in my hand, turn
around, stab it behind me. Sick.
You're not sure if it dies, but yet you're sure it dies.
Did you hear that as it goes limp and Stumpy goes God damn

(03:12:49):
ready to hit the big button runner on?
Right, OK. Oh wait, actually can I use my
movement? Yeah, sorry 'cause I want to.
Pre emptive. Oh it's dead.
I'll, I'll take it out of the it's.
Here what's a? 30 feet right.
Yeah, I was going to say. 60 allright yeah, it's.
A measurement you. Want me to take the measurement?

(03:13:10):
Sorry, it's 5 feet per square too if I want to do it that way,
but I can also get the measure into your somewhere.
Where the fuck is it? Where the?
Fuck is my measurement. Let me get like safely like
right here. Yeah, I'll just trust that
you're probably right. Yeah.
I don't even think you have to dash for that.
Huh. I don't think you have to.
Even dash for that. Yeah, yeah, you're good.

(03:13:31):
It's. One over my dad or one over my
movement speed. But all right, run around.
OK, so. I can't reach it like bug and
attack. Where are you today?
Yeah, that's how it was. Going hold on, let me, let me
how far? Away are you?
Right. Probably.
About I can make high feet. You're you're from which egg?

(03:13:54):
You're right, I was going to. Oh, go for that one.
But. I smacked it.
How far is? That 45 feet, yeah.
Damn. Yeah, you're about 15 feet per
pan and 20 feet per pan and 40 feet from them.
So you can get these two, I'll go for the first one and.
You try to do like a big swing. In the Yeah, I'm just going to
go just. If you go to the middle, yeah, I
agree. I agree with that.

(03:14:14):
If you go to the middle, you canget both of.
Them one, yeah, pick it up and throw it at the other one.
Yeah, I'm not even going to makeyou swing unless you really want
to. I it's it's a stationary object.
OK? Just roll for damage.
Roll for damage 8. Plus 3 + 2 that.

(03:14:39):
Yeah, you splatter these eggs all over the wall.
Oh yeah, really? That was personal.
Almost like they were about to hatch.
Babies like twitch and try to like Burrow into the wall but
don't have fully formed hands you.
Can't cut their claws off. With that Cara wait, no, we

(03:14:59):
skipped the other guys turn the actual because they're
creatures. It's OK, We'll we'll we'll come
back to Tom's turn. This is what I happened before
Tom's turn. It's just gonna grab one of the
guys that's suddenly you're screaming as the the guy is
grabbed and pulled into the dirt.

(03:15:19):
It's it's gonna be Aaron. Aaron.
We need to stop this thing from digging.
You do notice that the hole is wide enough that you can see the
underbelly of it when it goes tograb it, and you notice that the
underbelly is a different color than the rest of it.
Yes it is. I did good.

(03:15:41):
Good, great painting Jeff Babe. And then it was Tom Stern.
They slashed and now we are downto car.
Yep, what's up? Did he run back in the wall?
Yeah, he grabbed. So he popped up for a second to
grab one of the dudes, but he had to like lean pretty far over
because the whole super wide now.
So when he leans over, if you guys look up, you can see that

(03:16:03):
it's a different color. But he's still there.
He burrowed down and he grabbed one of them and his you can hear
him takes. Two turns to get underground.
Yeah, two of the creatures turns.
I'm going to cast a healing wordon myself.
OK. So you guys hear Cara muttering

(03:16:24):
a prayer under her, her voice ina soft light.
The faint smell of sea salt occurs around her.
Super odd in the underground. Right now.
She heals 4AD4 plus my spell casting ability modifier.
Roll it, heal your shout for my friend.

(03:16:46):
Question for hold action, does that roll through initiative
rounds? What?
Do you mean? Did you get another one?
Yeah. So 3 or 4?
Four healing. 4 healing. It would be 3.
What do you mean? If I were to hold my action
until I saw the creature, but that won't be till next round,

(03:17:09):
would that be my action for nextround?
You you see them, they would count as your action for this
round. It would be the next time you
see it. So I'd get basically 2 actions.
No, it would count as your action.
For next round. For this I don't know how the
action works I guess. That's what I'm.
That's what I'm getting at. Your action now to do something

(03:17:30):
later, so would it count for your action later too then?
That seems seems so I think. What it would do is it would
trigger on the creature's turn and then and then you would get
your turn because you're after, yeah.
Like a like a repost. Yeah, we'll do it that way.
It would. It is.
Are you going to heal? Yep I got I got 3 healing.

(03:17:54):
Small cut fixes itself on your face.
Yep. And then I'm going to cast a
sacred flame on one of the on one of the other creatures.
There is 2 in the corner and eggs.

(03:18:17):
Yep. So one of the two in the corner
must succeed A Dexterity saving throw.
Pick which one. The one closer to us, they did
not. That's a 5 on the dice.
Yeah. And then they.
Take You're welcome. They take you. 1D8 of damage.
Roll it, Mercury. That is.

(03:18:42):
Six, What is a sacred flame? You said what sacred flame look
like. Again, still holding the thing,
she points her warhammer at it. And a burst of that golden
light. It's like it's very similar to
the one from the funeral light, right?
Flies out and then lands on the creature.

(03:19:05):
And like envelops it and then suddenly they're burning
essentially. All right.
With that, I think we're on Ian's turn, right?
Unless you want to do movement. Nope.
Yeah. I would like to hold my action
until I see the creature. OK, so the trigger is you see
the creature cool, top of the initial order.

(03:19:26):
Let's see if it catches. They do not.
Crazy odds. And we're at Is that one on fire
Dead yet? Yeah, it's, it's just cool.
It's just on fire. It's not fire.
I was wondering. The bones are burning.
It's definitely on fire. It just looks cool.
It's a hard you're going now andyour minions go minion.

(03:19:48):
I still got the one above and the.
One that I have two so Aeon is geared up to attack right?
Like. You can see me like.
I'm going to give you an insightcheck.
If you get a good insight check, you can tell what they're doing.
If not, they just look like they're they're looking up.
OK. Because they didn't communicate
what they were doing. Yeah, exactly.
Just roll it inside. See how obvious that is?

(03:20:10):
How's my insight? Feel like anything about the
time you'd probably understand they're they're lining up for an
attack. Damn it 7.
Yeah, you don't know what Aeon'sdoing.
OK, Nope. Well, then I don't know if the
party is like geared up to attack this thing.

(03:20:31):
OK, so I'll I'll deal with what the threat that we know is.
Is that hand here? Do I have to move first or?
You can you move them, you can do whatever you want.
OK, I figure I'll have. Stumpy.
I'll have Stumpy dash into combat.
Yeah, he. Should be able to make it, Yeah,

(03:20:53):
he should be able to make it there.
And not even dashing. Oh OK, cool.
Yeah, go and attack that dude. Stumpy roll another 19.
Stumpy. Yeah, yeah, he's stumping him.
And then you're all the one for damage.
So he gets all the way there andhe's out of breath because he's
only got 1 good leg swings. His axe lazily and embeds into
the IT chips. It chips away part of the this

(03:21:15):
exoskeleton. OK.
You still got the one above. Do you want to dig more Milo's
digging? If if he's still digging, yeah,
I have. Yeah, Milo's digging.
You hear vicious shovel scrapes as the hole widens up another 5
feet. It's about 20 feet now.
It's huge big ass hole. Yeah, and I'm trying to figure

(03:21:36):
out what I can do with that. Really quick at.
Digging. Really.
Really. In shape nothing below.
You. Yeah, they're really in shape
too. When?
You're digging a hollow ceiling out.
It's more just knocking chunks off unless.
Yeah. Real digging.
I'm going to try something. Oh no.
OK. That's never good.

(03:21:57):
For you Druid. Craft I can cast within 10 feet.
OK, I have an idea. I sweet, I'm going to get behind
Stumpy here and I'm I'm going toplace a hand on his shoulder
like pulling him back towards me, and I'm going to cast Druid

(03:22:21):
craft on the bug to make it smell like a wounded human.
OK, can does Drew draft do any smell?
Yeah, it can. It can do natural smells.
OK, so like decay? Yeah, exactly.
So it it's like, well, more, more like blood and sweat, OK.
Like, yeah, like a fearful animal.

(03:22:42):
All right, Yeah, that's super smart.
Yeah, I'm gonna let you do that.OK.
It goes off without a hitch. Jury craft happens.
The bug starts like, smelling like, starts looking at itself,
and like, starts licking itself. And then the other bug starts
chattering and looking at it andstarts like wandering towards

(03:23:03):
it. Nice, I guess that's all I can
do. Hell yeah.
Heavy limb like you. Already know what the fuck is
going on. Stabbing this.
Stabbing little. Stabbing.
Using towards doing things get. The whole thing.
Take out the whole table. Fuck it, the smelly bug.

(03:23:25):
Oh God, the stinky bug. The Teddy.
Swinging. We got Teddy.
Swing that. Was a shitty ass fucking roll.
That was 11. Does not hit, it's.
OK, that's why we have two shorts and.
Classic. That's an 18.
That does it. Woo Hoo.

(03:23:46):
That. Sticky 6 Damning. 6 Damning All
right, this thing is not lookinggreat.
It's hissing. It smells like sweat and blood
and then now more acid. Hell yeah, that's my old.
All right, after that, it is thebug's turn.
A bug comes crashing through theceiling.
I want him over there. It's crashing.

(03:24:08):
I want him in the corner. Put him in the corner.
Yeah. Crashing through the ceiling.
Dragging our good friend Aaron with him.
Aaron is definitely dead, cannothandle that amount of of damage.
Aaron's body hits the ground. The bug hisses at all of you and
I need to check. Something really.
Quick, all right, do not hate me.

(03:24:29):
What's about to happen? Don't like it to go no.
Where the bug goes? What?
Oh, you see it? Yeah, You see it.
Yeah. Go.
So I'm going to cash chromatic orb at it which is a range spell
attack which was a 16 to and that does 3D eight damage of my

(03:24:50):
choosing. Leaning towards fire.
OK, damage. Go for it.
Let me find some D eights. What are those ones?
Yeah, you. Want to roll mine?
Again. Oh no.
No, no. So.

(03:25:17):
That is OK, 16 damage. That's a big head I wouldn't
look like. Umm, you see me focusing on the
ceiling and the second he comes crashing down, uh, this big BLOB
hits him and it just erupts intofire.

(03:25:40):
Yeah, this thing, it's not acorns, but it's definitely
something. Yeah, nice.
This thing takes a massive hit and shrieks in agony and looks
at you angrily. And you brought this one
yourself, girl. All right, so I'm going to need
Ron Haran and beyond to make a Dexterity saving throw for me as

(03:26:05):
this thing lurches up on its twohind or 4 hind legs and belches
a line of acid straight at you guys 18.
All right, cool. You save.
Not very good. That was a 15.
And you also save, so you guys are going to take half half
damage on 3D6. I'm surprised.

(03:26:31):
Where is I need some D6 yeah. You want to hand me some D6?
I need 2. I just need 2.
I had. A lot of D sixes I don't want.
I'm not lying. I need you to see this.
It's half, it's half it's it's 655 S 16, half eight damage.

(03:26:52):
Acid damage come shrinking through hitting both of you and
and you're covered in acid now it burns, it stinks and you're
just like decomposed body parts as it spews it out of its mouth
and it screams at you guys as itas it threw it up on it's time
like and that's going to be hit start and with that it is a run

(03:27:13):
run. All right.
And so it's about 60 feet away from me, right?
No, no, it's like 3535. Feet, but it's it's large, so it
takes up a a large amount of space.
It takes up that amount of space.
Can I reach it without dashing? Yeah, yes, OK, one. 100% you
have, what, 40 feet? Yeah, that doesn't make sense.

(03:27:33):
It's 'cause it's big. Yeah but he takes big steps.
Me and him shouldn't have the same amount of distance yours
is. 40. No, he's is only 30.
Oh. Most of us is 30, yeah.
That's but he's big all. Right.
Let, let. Don't take his third.
All right. What else is 35?
So I'm going to use the inspiration you gave me earlier.

(03:27:54):
Kicking my own ass, Yeah, that just gives you advantage.
Yeah, that's what I figured. Wow, maybe don't use those.
Yeah, Daddy rolled them. Yeah.
No, I mean next. Yeah, no, my my Max is like 12.
There so it does not hit. It's Armour class is higher than

(03:28:16):
that. OK, I'm going to use action
search. OK, good idea.
Did you choose different? Guys. 1515 does it.
OK, the Goliath steps up toe to toe, winds up for the swing.

(03:28:37):
Does he it? He does it.
That's 9. All right, nine damage comes
raining down into this bug champion.
It looks fucking rough after that massive swing.
Tell me how you hit it. I want to just start going like
right at its, you know, legs andstuff.
I want to try to limit it. Yeah, you're cutting legs.

(03:28:58):
It's hard to hack through. It's very thick compared to the
the the younglings. And with that, it's Cara Cara
having. Heard this behind her is going
to turn around and do that same toll the dead again at the big
thing and because it is missing health it if it hits it'll deal

(03:29:20):
1D12. Is that what's I'm saying there?
Yep, I didn't. I froze solo.
You're good. Four.
I think it has a minus on wisdomtoo, so I'd be 3.
It's the 12. Yeah, that is five damage.
Five damage, not looking great. This thing twongs him right in

(03:29:42):
the mind. Gobble skull I.
Don't know. Yeah, Bud.
And it does not. It screeches and wanders
backwards and hits the wall. It starts heading its own head
on the wall a little bit. Try to get the sound out of the
way eon unless you want to move.Well, I was going to use a, I'm
sorry. I forgot it another turn.

(03:30:03):
A bonus action for Healing Word?Yeah, Which of these two looks
more messed up? They they should be able to tell
you. Yeah.
I have three health though I. And I still have.
A reaction for my meta gaming, but I have stones endurance so I
can like make AD 12 like kind ofresist that much damage.

(03:30:29):
So I at least have like probablyone more hit.
Left at me. I'm going to see Ron Horan
covered in acid burns and cuts and utter a prayer to you and
you're going to glow a little bit and feel like there smell a
little bit of sea salt. You want to roll your own D4.

(03:30:52):
I don't care if you use that or another one.
I'm saying it's cursed and that's a one.
You feel slightly better? Yeah, that is 3 health pack got.
You thought that? At least helps.
That's the answer. I accept it, but it does put a
little bit of a shudder through me like.

(03:31:14):
I'm gonna, I'm gonna come stand just behind Ron Harag and reach
my hands around him, and then I'm going to cast burning hands
because buck bugs. You gotta touch it.
No, I don't 15 foot cone. Oh, it is.
I thought it was a touch spell. Oh, that was a touch.

(03:31:35):
Burning Hands is a touch spell. I thought so it sounds like.
As you hold your hands with yourthumbs touching your fingers
spread, a thin sheet of flame shoots forth from your
outstretched fingertips and eachcreature in a 15 foot cone is
make a deck saving throw. I don't.

(03:31:57):
I've always noted to be a touch I agree.
That's fair enough. I I touch myself, that's what it
says. It's range itself.
Like a mini cone of flame. Yeah, it has to make a deck
series everywhere. Yeah.
What I have to beat? My spell say DC is only 12.

(03:32:17):
And it's dexterity is plus zero.I got a 10.
It does not save. Burn it, man.
This is a her mommy. Mama.
Brood mother. Ian finish this bug.

(03:32:38):
There is a fiery, fiery inferno flying from my fingertips for
too long after this thing is dead.
It is extra crisp, might be glowing red a little bit when
I'm done with it. In the silent night, the air is
crisp. This cave lights up with fire

(03:33:02):
and the whole cave is just lit up as you guys all turn and see
this inferno pouring into this monstrous abomination of a bug
that has taken too many lives. As Yawn finishes it, there's one
last screech, one last pile of acid, and it drops to its side,

(03:33:23):
burnt to a crisp. There is still and and then that
takes over to the next thing. The last egg is going to hatch
so there's going to be 3 bugs left and they're going to attack
because it's their turn. So let me do that really quick.
I'll get them positioned and we'll gear to attack and.
It's time to get hurt, finally. They're they're waiting for you.

(03:33:43):
Where's my cowboy copy? Oh yeah, they are all.
Right. Thank God for any of.
Them I'm at full health. Let's fucking do this.
One of them's going at licks. And anyone go against and any of
them going to go against the onethat smells like?

(03:34:04):
Hurt Cuban. I forgot about that.
Yeah, actually, they are definitely going to be going
against the the hurt human one. I totally forgot about that.
Good call. They're all going to go against
the hurt human. Yeah, because that's what they
smell. So.
And then just the one. I'll be honest, they're just
going to eat that guy and that'sgoing to be their entire turn,
so they're dead. Fuck yeah, really.
We're kind of there standing. Oh yeah, brother.

(03:34:26):
Your guys turn. Well, I'll go ahead and have
Stumpy swing at the the nearest one.
Don't beat, don't hit. He's like more fast than by
watching it like eating the because it was a free hit.
You know, actually that would bean advantage.
Then if it's a free hit that onehits and more damage.

(03:34:47):
That's Max damage. 6 stuffy comes right over the top and
hits it in the head. It doesn't die, but the axe is
stuck in the axis skeleton. You want the guy to keep digging
above. No, no, I'm going to, I'm going
to yell up at him. Milo Rope.
Another rope comes flying down. There's still the one that was
already there, so there's two ropes and a 25 foot hole above

(03:35:11):
you. We're going to need people to be
able to get out. Yeah.
You going to kill the other one?Yeah, you have a turn to do
whatever, so. Meow.
Yeah, OK, I'm going to. I'm going to Vicious Mockery.
The same one that Stumpy attacked.
Don't worry. OK.

(03:35:36):
When I do it, yeah, you have to do a Yeah.
What's the same? 14 I got. 13.
So. 14 on dice -1 so. 14-4 damage.
Yeah, nice. That actually killed it.
So good. I'm not not even like taking it

(03:35:56):
seriously. It just hatched, it ate its own
spawn, and then it got thwacked by a dwarf.
I just look at this thing and I go.
It just falls over. There's no show.
It just falls over. Stumpy thinks he killed it.

(03:36:20):
We're going to commit more murder.
Is there any discernible place that I could hide?
Somebody's next to you, though. They're not within 5 feet of the
enemy. So now that does not apply,
unfortunately. Hey, it doesn't hurt that.

(03:36:40):
Yeah, you know, you're not wrong.
It doesn't hurt that. Are there any shadows?
No, you think you're filling up the.
Whole thing. Yeah, you got to have this thing
cranked to to 11 right now. There's no darkness.
That is going to be 24. To hit, yeah, you hit a little
bit. It's.
Just a little guide. Barely made it 9.

(03:37:03):
That is a lot of damage, but it does not kill it.
Max on the dying. Guess what?
We got 2. Swords, guys, I.
Feel like if you don't do a weapon a rogue, you're stupid.
You gotta, you gotta have two weapons.
Oh, that's a 13. Yeah, that hits.
Oh, let's go. That's a. 12 armor class.

(03:37:25):
Huge. Nice save. 4.
Finish it. The last guy I'm.
Going to step up. You put my boot on it's back,
stab down, cut it's head off, kick it to the side.
Bucket. Yikes.

(03:37:46):
And with that, we're out of initiative.
I'm gonna go poke the charred bug.
You poke it and acid bubble likeoozes out slowly drips to the
floor. Don't touch that.
What if it's usual? It's not going to be useful.

(03:38:08):
Just don't touch the acid. Too much of A crisp I I don't
think we're going. To get beyond, do not touch the
acid. Miley goes little alive down
there, yeah. I'm I'm going to fly up to Milo.
He looks break the news to him. Rough like he he's been digging

(03:38:29):
a lot and he's been woken in themiddle of the night from being
drunk and he goes where's, where's Tim?
Are the ropes tied to the tree? Yeah, You told me there's
secure. There's two secure ropes.
Yeah. Sit down with.
Tim Milo's like. Nephew Tim was Milo's nephew.

(03:38:49):
And his brother. And I'm just, yeah, your
sister's gonna be mad. So you just say sit down and he
sits down and I feel like all you guys hear from blows.
No. As you you want to climb out or
what do you want to do? Yeah, I don't want to stay here,

(03:39:09):
but I really don't want. To I'm.
Going to give it a minute, you know, maybe 5-10 minutes for
the. We should try and get Aaron and
and Tim remain. Arlo, isn't it Arlo?
Aaron so. That makes sense.
So great that you don't know their name because that's so
eon. Yeah, I do Arlo first.

(03:39:31):
Shower, who named him Arlo AaronI.
Don't know Aaron, Aaron, do a nice Aaron and stretch.
I'm like, all right, so. Anyone want to go back to bed
now? Or yeah, I guess it's only been
like. I need to couple minutes these
poor souls. Let's get these bodies.

(03:39:54):
They they. Don't deserve to rest down here,
no. I would say with minimal effort
working together, you can get what's left of Tim's body out.
You do move a couple rocks, you find his legs, but they've been.
Chewed to shit and. There's no real discernible
reason to grab them, so you grabthe upper half of his body and
you grab Aaron's crumpled remains as well.

(03:40:16):
He's been crushed. Less acid, more crushed.
And you you get them out of the hole and back up on to the land.
At that point, when you bring them up onto the top of the land
and Milo sees them, he crumbles into a heap, screaming.

(03:40:37):
No, kneel down and put my hand on his back.
Tried to be comforting. I'm going to get ready for the
for their funeral rites. Please watch Milo for the time
being. He's just it gets a little.
Like. Lost his entire family and one
night pretty much. And Cara's going to lay them

(03:40:59):
out, take some, take a rag and kind of clean their faces off a
little bit, make close Tim's eyes like, and, and then get up
and go over to Milo. Is there anything you'd like to
say before I perform the funeralrites?

(03:41:21):
I I think they would appreciate it.
OK. I pull him up to his feet best
best he can. You can do this he's.
Looking over the the corpses of his nephew and his his brother
he goes growing up me and Aaron didn't really get along He was

(03:41:51):
always kind of an asshole honestly and when you met Tim,
but he didn't have to go like that he says they.
Didn't deserve it. They didn't deserve it at all.
When my dad left us the camp, heleft it in Aaron's name, not
mine, because I didn't want to be stuck here.

(03:42:14):
But Aaron always said we just keep working, we'll see
everything, we'll see the world. Now he'll never see anything
again. What a fucking Dick.
It's up to you to see it for himnow.

(03:42:37):
He just shakes his head solemnly.
And car is going to go to them and perform that same funeral,
right? 2 Sparks will come down and burn
the bodies. And like as the sparks hit and
the the ashes start to unfeatherinto the wind, I want to say
like they start to blow and the first rays of dawn hit the ashes

(03:43:04):
and they fly off into the distance as the new day starts.
Maynard will take them both on agreat journey across the seas.
That's where we're at. We need an opening theme and a
closing theme. I have one.

(03:43:25):
It's not Dick bragging. Come aboard and bring along all
your holes and dreams. Valor Bound is a lost cause
media production.
