I'm going on hiatus for a few months. In Ep#61.5 I'm talking about why it's just a bit too hard to maintain motivation/time to produce these episodes whilst travelling Brazil.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported this show over this last season, I really do appreciate it.

Kyrin Down (00:00):
Hello everyone, and welcome to the value
for value episode hereon the 17th of April 2024.
I'm Kyrin, your host,
and I need to start offwith an apology.
An apologyfor not producing anything
in the last two weeks,
and also an apology
for not notifying you guysabout this as well.
For those who don't know,
I might have mentioned
this in the last coupleof episodes

(00:21):
that I amtravelling to Brazil,
and so I'm here now
and it has beenan absolute
whirlwindof getting ready,
prepared, travelling andtravelling around in here.
And now that I've finallygot my little space here,
recording room where I canactually do some things,
I've realised
my motivationshave changed

(00:41):
from what I expectedto do.
I expected tostill be able to produce
these episodes, still golive,
still put in as much timeand effort and work as I
as I used to be doing.
And I've just realisedthis is kind of counter to
a lot of the reasons whyI've travelled to Brazil.
I'm here
to really pick upsome Portuguese
and get thatto a higher level.

(01:03):
I'm here tohonestly have a little bit
of a break from workingand producing podcasts
constantly for the thelast couple of years and
I just realisedlike the 6 or 7 hours
that I put into creatingthis per week is,
I would,I would rather be spending
that one hour,an extra hour a day,

(01:26):
learning Portugueseor seeing the sights
or meeting new people, having new experiences
and, yeah, unfortunately,I'm just gonna have
to put the value for valueshow on hiatus.
So even thoughI'm only midway through
season four,I will be back.
And like usual,it'll probably be
in about three, four, maybe five months time.

(01:47):
until I can really getinto the swing of things
again, get into a groove,be back in Australia,
have my normal routine.
And, I referenced this,
quite extensively in the
latestMere Mortals episode,
which was numberfour for three, I believe.
And, Yeah, just, wanted to say apologies.
I would have notifiedeveryone.

(02:09):
I would have
told you guysmore about this,
and I just up
until probably
a couple of days ago is
I was still streaminglike I missed a week,
but I'll still be able
to recoup itand get it back up.
But I just realised,
over the lastcouple of days, like
that wasgoing to be really hard
because I'm, I'mstill going
to be travellingaround a lot and,
yeah, flexibilityand is probably key

(02:29):
at the moment.
And having a locked in
once a week thing, which I need to do
and which I need to spenda lot of time
on, is just,
just not not workingfor me at the moment.
So I really justwant to say
thanks to everyonewho has supported.
I will be back.
these boosts
that I received overthe last period, I'm
not going to read them out
now, because I'lleventually just delete
this episode from the feed

(02:50):
and will be right backinto the
the normalswing of things.
So I will thank everyone
who helped support backthen.
And yeah, until theI guess nearest
future this is Kyrinout for the moment.
