Vanessa (00:01):
Tech, your Gen Z though
you know,
Landon (00:06):
hello, teenage
Baltimore. Exactly back to the
corn and Colin show.
Vanessa (00:13):
Okay, now I don't think
that's working.
This is so fucked up. What ishappening here?
Landon (00:26):
Roz who's our next
caller on the line for the DR
Fraser crane show.
Vanessa (00:33):
I don't know what's
going on here. Hi, Zach, welcome
back.
Nikki Smith (00:37):
Well, now says it's
recording. Yeah,
Vanessa (00:40):
I'm I'm digging into
the YouTube thing right now. And
okay, it says excellentconnection. And okay, now we're
on the right one. I have to getthis link again, and then we can
get started. I'm sorry. Thankyou for your patience. I know
it's a pain in the ass. Um,could share up a link. I know, I
(01:07):
swear I sometimes know what I'mdoing, but not when it comes to
this. So I guess it's probablyeasier on Tiktok anyway, it's
time to restart that. Are youall ready? Yep, okay. Welcome
back to transcending humanity.
This is episode 50. We aretrying and keyword trying, a
(01:31):
live stream of this. And I don'treally know how well it's gonna
work, but in the end, there'llbe a recording anyways. It
already died on us once stoppedrecording out of nowhere, so
we'll see what's going on. I'mVanessa, aka Vanessa Adele, as a
reminder to views and opinionsof everyone on the screen are
(01:53):
their own and not theiremployers. If they're not self
employed, and Patreon, send usmoney. Merch shop you can get my
shirt. Um, and today, we'regoing to be talking about
politics and all the absolutewild, fun, amazing things that
have been going on in Americanpolitics lately. So let's get
(02:15):
started the VP pick. What do youall think about him? I kind of
love him.
Landon (02:28):
I love him, and here's
why I feel he is the prime
example of the Father everyonedidn't lose to Rush Limbaugh, he
gives off that Bernie Sandersdad quality, like he feels like
he should be a dad in a sitcomfrom the 90s. Yes, and I feel
(02:52):
that's what we need right now inthe whole way of when Kamala
became the nominee, how I didn'trealize how hopeless the world
had become, and it was like, there's hope. It was so, yeah,
I'm excited. Yeah,
Vanessa (03:10):
same me, yeah.
Nikki Smith (03:11):
He's totally giving
off Midwest dad vibes. Sorry,
no, it's
Zach (03:15):
fine. If anybody knows
history. He gives me Henry
Wallace lives. Henry Wallace wasthe Secretary of Agriculture
under Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and almost became the
Presidential Nominee rightbefore FDR died in 1945 but he
(03:37):
gives off Henry Wallace livesbecause, not because he's super
liberal or conservative, buthe's willing to evolve on his
positions because he sees thetimes as they are, and not
through an ideological lens. Hegot an A rating from the NRA,
(03:57):
and then Parkland happened, andnow he gets an F rating from the
NRA because he said, This isn'tright. We need sensible gun
reform. So he's willing toevolve on his position. And that
is, I think, something theDemocrats have been missing,
really, since before I was born.
So I think it's great to seethis, this, this change for for
(04:20):
the country, and I am ready todo this in the next three
months.
Vanessa (04:31):
Agreed, agreed. Nikki,
go ahead. Then I remember that
we need to do something afteryou talk. I
Nikki Smith (04:37):
was just saying
he's like, totally got this
Midwest dad vibe. And I love it.
And I I appreciate that. I thinkI was reading today, he's the
first person since, I think,Carter, who has not had a law
degree or not been a practicingattorney to be our vice
presidential nominee. And I lovethat. I don't know. It's just
nice to see something a littlebit, you know, somebody. That's
(04:59):
not fitting that same likestamp,
Vanessa (05:04):
yes, yay. I just
remembered that I haven't had
everyone to introducethemselves. I have these four
people on here and Zach, there'sa lot of feedback going through
your mic. So when you're nottalking, can you please mute
yourself? And so let's do roundrobin with introductions,
(05:27):
Landon, tell us who you are.
Landon (05:29):
Hi, I'm Landon. I am a
drag queen over on Tiktok. I do
Story Time Live. So yes, I'mthat radical leftist drag queen
that they've been warning youabout out to indoctrinate the
children with Dr Seuss.
So if you want to follow me onTiktok and Instagram and
YouTube, it's and mayhem ensuedin some variation thereof.
Vanessa (05:56):
Landed stuff is
amazing, especially check out
the creepy conservative menslipping into his DMS because
they think he's a woman.
Exactly. Zach, you're up,
Zach (06:14):
yeah, so my name is Zach
Brodkin. I've been on this
podcast before, so it's great tobe back. Congratulations Vanessa
on landing a, J, O, B, finally.
Oh, I didn't I self employed?
Oh, well, congratulations on onbreaking out. Thank you, because
(06:37):
fuck the job hunt, right? ButI'm a disability rights and
voting rights advocate. I'vedone work with both voting
rights advocates and disabilityrights advocates, and have
blended the intersection of thetwo together. So that's the work
I do, and it's good to be back.
Vanessa (07:01):
Well, thank you for
being here today. And Nikki, Hi,
Nikki Smith (07:07):
I'm Nikki Smith. I
am in Columbus, Ohio. I'm a
death doula and a grief coach. Iwork with the dying in their
families,and I'm super I've been on
Vanessa's podcast before, andI'm super excited to be here now
to talk about stuff I never talkabout politics. I know, right? I
tend to keep it off my podcastand out of my life as much as I
(07:28):
can. So I'm actually crazyexcited for this. Yeah, I don't
blame you at all.
Vanessa (07:36):
It's, I mean, this
podcast is goes between
political and not political. I Ireally don't know if there is an
actual theme for transcendinghumanity anymore. I mean, the
first year was all trans stuff, and now it's just a little bit
of everything. Like I recordedepisode 51 yesterday, and it was
with a YouTuber that I listenedto while I edit photos. So but
(08:00):
we have kind of a littlemishmash of people here today,
so hopefully we can have somevaried views on things. I'm
pretty sure we're all fairlyleftist. And yeah, so Tim waltz,
waltz, waltz, waltz, waltz thetampon guy, what is talk about
(08:26):
stupid conservative talkingpoints, like they're giving him
a hard time for supplyingtampons students.
Landon (08:35):
My favorite thing about
all of him and how the
Conservatives always go straightto name calling, and it's not
working, because we're justreclaiming it and like, hey,
tampon Tim, that's nice. He gavetampons away. That's a good
thing. And I saw the clips ofthe Conservatives ranting, and
(08:56):
they were basically making acommercial on why I would like
this guy on eight he he thinksthat weed should be legalized,
and he wants to give childrenfree school lunches. And it's
like, these are good things.
These are, these are goodthings. You seem out of touch.
Yeah, I
Zach (09:19):
love that, because he was
on an interview, a couple of
interviews, actually, where hejust said, oh, you know, I'm
such a monster. I give I gavekids free breakfast and free
lunch. They gave paid sick leaveand paid parental leave to
people. Oh, my God, I'm stillhorrible person. So How
Unknown (09:37):
dare you not.
Zach (09:40):
He's, he's a Midwesterner,
but he has the attitude of a New
Yorker, because he's just like,Okay, you want to call me a
socialist. You want to call mewhenever a communist. Go ahead,
I'm going to do what I'm goingto do, because I got things done
with a one seat majority. Whathave you done?
Vanessa (09:57):
Exactly? Fucking burn.
Hmm, like he's that he's verymoderate, and he should appeal
to a lot of Americans. I wouldhope that he would true
Republicans. I think he willappeal to not the Maga, but
they're too far fucking gone.
But, I mean, he's a veteran,he's a parent, he's a gun
(10:20):
enthusiast, and he's just, yeah,he's just an all around decent
guy, and he has great comedictiming. I don't know if you've
watched any of his videos withhis daughter, hope, uh, there's
one where they're at a amusementpark, and he's, he's talking
about getting, like, gettingsome sort of food with, with
(10:41):
meat and stars, like, I'm avegetarian. And he's like, Well,
Turkey. Then he's like, she'slike, Turkey's meat. He's like,
not Minnesota, it's not so,
Landon (10:52):
that's so My Big Fat
Creek wedding. Okay, yeah,
Vanessa (10:57):
wonderful. So that was
the big exciting news that just
popped out. What has everyonethought on Kamala
Nikki Smith (11:09):
as a childless cat
mother? I'm very excited.
Landon (11:18):
I always liked Kamala,
so I'm I'm excited, and the
absolute chaos of whoever isbehind her social media, like
they understand how to market itand how to brand it, and how to
just be a chaotic, hot mess, like it is clearly run by a Gen
(11:38):
Z person. This is there's noother explanation. It is run by
a Gen Z person, which
Vanessa (11:46):
is smart you want Gen Z
running your social media. I
actually donated to her campaigntoday. It's the first time I've
ever donated to a presidentialcampaign in my life. So 25
bucks, but hey, it's 25 bucks,so yeah, then I immediately
turned off the the text messagenotifications to stop all that
(12:07):
spam, because I hate that. Zach, what's, what's the general kind
of feeling? You're still in NewYork City, right? What's, what's
the vibe there over all this,
Zach (12:18):
um, I mean, people are
gravitating toward her. They
really, really, they really, really, really like her. And, I
mean, let's be real, it's NewYork, so she's gonna take, she's
gonna take New York just becauseit's, it's New York. I think
Biden would have taken New Yorkif he was still the nominee, but
(12:40):
that's how New York tends totends to lean. But let's also
remember that conventionalwisdom died ever since 2016 so
even if we think the world isn'tready for a woman of color to
wish him the presidency, we'reprobably going to be wrong. So I
think it's funny how we're onthe the 50th episode of
(13:01):
transcending humanity, when weas a nation are actually looking
at the opportunity to transcendhumanity and elect a woman of
color to a higher office.
Vanessa (13:15):
I see what you did
there. I see what you did there.
So Nikki and I are both in Ohio.
Nikki is in a much bluer area ofOhio and Landon, you're stuck in
Texas, right? Yeah,
Landon (13:29):
I am, hopefully not much
longer. How,
Vanessa (13:33):
like, how are you
surviving right now with all
this,
Landon (13:36):
I don't go out.
Vanessa (13:38):
I don't blame you. I
don't blame you every time I go
out. Now, I remember a storythat I think you told on the
last time you were here, whereyou were done up as June Rogers
at a hotel or something, andthen someone asked you if you're
(13:58):
trans, and you're like, No, I'ma tall and I've been waiting to
use that now rather, because I'mkind of moving away from my
trans identity and embracingmore the lesbian identity. Since
I'm people tell me I pass I'mlike, whatever. Okay, I believe
you. So I want to start usingthat because it's fucking
brilliant. But you pop in mymind quite often with that. So I
don't know if that's creepy oror not.
Landon (14:21):
That was one of my
proudest moments, though,
because it was just like it cameso quickly, and also how quickly
the guy backed away, tailbetween his legs when I said
that, just the No, I'm a tall
Vanessa (14:40):
so what is, what have
you all been working on in in
prepping for the election? And Iknow Landon's been doing a lot
of makeup tutorials forconservative guys, and Landon,
maybe you can talk about that.
But
Landon (15:01):
yes, I call it Queer Eye
for the Maga guy, where I a
liberal, am reaching across theaisle to help conservative men
achieve the makeup routines oftheir favorite conservative
politicians. I got the ideaafter watching the drag show
that was the RNC, because Idon't think these people realize
(15:24):
how much makeup they're wearing, like it is so much. And the
thing is, if you can see makeupon camera, that's a lot of
makeup, like makeup does notwant to be photographed. You
have to really take it on. Andwhen I can see where your
transition is and how muchcontour you're wearing, that is
(15:45):
a thing. And so I've had a lotof conservatives complain about
it and how I'm just being somean and nasty. And I'm like,
these men say Men shouldn't wearmakeup. I'm pointing out these
men are wearing a lot of makeup, and I'm doing a step by step
tutorial of how you can do it,and if you disagree with it,
what did I do wrong? Exactly.
Vanessa (16:07):
They're pretty fucking
good, too. I watched the matt
gates one. I'm like, wow. Landonjust now Matt gates. So
everybody, I have noticed adefinite turn in the left,
leftist, liberal, whatever youwant to call it community, since
Kamala was announced to berunning and Joe stepping back,
(16:34):
and are you All seeing likethis? All of a sudden, like,
influx of hope and positivity.
Let's touch on that. Nikki, what? What are you seeing
lately? Like, what's giving youthe warm fuzzies?
Nikki Smith (16:54):
Yeah, all this is
giving me I feel like, okay,
first of all, I prior to Bidendropping out and Kamala take
jumping in, I was just mentallypreparing myself for the worst.
I've been doing that. I've beentelling all my friends. I'm
like, I hope we're all in thesame concentration camp
(17:14):
together. This will be great.
Let's bring glitter and like, that's just where my head has
been. So this is gonna happen, and all my friends are going to
be murdered, and, or can I saythat out alive? Whatever? Who
cares me too. Like, you know,I'm like, this is just what's
gonna happen. And I swear toGod, if we have a repeat of 2016
I'm gonna sorry, yeah. Andthat's just where my head has
(17:42):
been this entire time. And now, like, I don't know, it feels
better. I hate to say that, because I was, I was like, all
in with Biden, gonna vote forhim, excited about him,
everything else. But then it's,I don't know, the vibe just has
totally shifted since it's likepeople are actually, I feel like
people were, a lot of theleftists I know were a little
(18:05):
like, with Biden coming inagain, yeah, we're not, like, in
love with the dude, like he'sgreat, better than the
alternative. But I feel likethere's a lot more love for
Kamala. Like, if she's got moreenergy,
Vanessa (18:21):
it's everything is so
completely different, and I just
love it. Yeah, like, I, I don'tagree with Joe and a lot of his
politics, but I do also admirewhat he did to step back. And I
kind of wonder how long this hasactually been planned. I have a
feeling it's been planned forquite a while. I remember
(18:44):
hearing back like late 2023early 2024 rumors of Michelle
Obama stepping in for him, andthat didn't happen. But yeah,
like, I'm I wasn't reallysurprised, and he timed it
fucking brilliantly to do itright after the RNC went out of
(19:07):
that, oh, I know. And now theRepublicans are grasping at
straws. They're like their mainattack and Kamala is her laugh,
and main attack on Tim istampons. Meanwhile, we have a
rapist, fucking criminal and afucking couch fucker, though,
from what I understand, itwasn't actually in this book,
(19:29):
but he's couch fuckers. So
Landon (19:33):
that's another thing we
have Tim waltz to thank for.
He's the one who came up withRepublicans are weird and how
mad they get
Nikki Smith (19:45):
at that. They call
that we're the snowflakes guys,
yes.
Vanessa (19:49):
Did you hear what he
said when he challenged JD Vance
to a debate and he said, It's ifyou can get up off the couch? I.
Fucking brutal.
Zach (20:05):
He's measured, but he also
just, he doesn't care what
people think. You know, too manyliberal politicians, they are
measured in their speeches, andthey tiptoe the lines, and they
don't realize it, but it pissesa lot of voters off when they do
that. And till what he saidabout what he said about a
(20:28):
woman's right to choose, he justbasically said, you know, we
have a golden rule, rule, mindyour own damn business, like,
Thank God you are being sodeliberate. That's what people
want. And it was ironically, what attracted to what it what
attracted voters to trump thefirst time, because he was
deliberate. Tim walls isdeliberate, and voters love
(20:52):
that. They don't want somescripted politician who's going
to give them a word salad. Theyjust want somebody to state the
obvious and then do what theyhave to do. That's why there's
such a resurgence, becausevoters finally can take a deep
sigh, we got a guide who's oneof us,
Vanessa (21:11):
yes, someone that's not
afraid to do the occasional
kick, someone in the nuts. Youknow, because you have a good
point like the left hastraditionally always tried to
take the higher road, and youcan take the high road while
still being snarky. And we areseeing this right, yeah, exactly
(21:32):
Landon, and we're seeing thisright now. And we know it
fucking works, because the leftis also big on real truth. The
right likes to fake truth. Welike some real truth we don't.
We can see right through whenpeople are being fake. So I
think that's one reason that I'mso intrigued by all this and
(21:53):
excited by all this is becausethere's actual they're finally
not holding back as much. Imean, you know, they still are
but and they have answers tothings and quips like now
they're start, they're startingto be worried about Tim and how
he looks older than he is,because he's 60. Kamala is 59
(22:15):
and he looks older, and he justspins out right back around,
saying, Hey, I've worked in alunch room at a school for 20
years. You don't leave that jobwith all your hair and fuck
yeah. So I
Landon (22:32):
I saw a video on tick
tock, just because on my burner
account that I go on to watchconservatives, because I don't
want it to mess up my for you.
Paige, I saw one guy rantingabout how un presidential Tim
Wallace is because of a photo ofhim and his wife and their
(22:53):
teenage children. And he and hiswife were all dressed up, and
the teenage children were like,in sweats and pajamas, and it's
like, this was clearly a phototaken right before the parents
went to some event like that. Isyou're saying they're
unpresidential because of that.
We've seen Melania do soft corelesbian porn. Like, do we want
(23:19):
to play unpresidential families,
Vanessa (23:23):
we've seen Ivanka
giving her father a lap dance.
Like, yeah, I It's the doublestandards are like they still
want to go after all, likelittle things like comma having
a relationship with a guy inCalifornia years ago. Who cares?
(23:49):
Nobody cares
Zach (23:50):
about that. Like, how
young exactly that was going on.
That was like, what 2025, yearsago? More audience, dude, see
the 90s,
Vanessa (24:01):
and in the meantime,
hello Epstein, and it's,
Zach (24:07):
I just want to see I just,
I just want to see Kamala debate
Trump, Prosecutor againstcriminal. I want to see walls
debate Vance and just run themover more
Landon (24:22):
than a debate with
Trump, I would love to see them
go up and ask basic like thirdgrade civics questions. How many
seats are there in Congress likeMr. Trump? How many seats are
there in Congress?
Vanessa (24:43):
Do the best seats?
Landon (24:44):
You just have to tell us
like you just have to give us a
number. How many congressmen and
Nikki Smith (24:50):
I know numbers, you
don't know numbers. I'm going to
tell the President that.
Landon (24:55):
And then, and then, then
Kamala. How many? How many same
question? And then her to golike, it would be so funny.
Vanessa (25:04):
It's yeah, the
comparison between the very fact
that there is currently even theremotest chance of Trump getting
elected when there is acandidate as amazing for the
entire country as Kamala andTim, like a lot of their
(25:26):
policies should be prettyRepublican friendly, and that's
why you're seeing a lot ofRepublicans for Kamala coming
up, and you hear about down inFlorida, in the villages where
they're having their little golfcart parades for Kamala. And I
honestly don't think the pollingthis year is gonna mean shit. I
(25:48):
mean, it generally doesn't meanmuch anyways, but things are so
different. I really this is thefirst time I've actually
legitimately felt that there'sgonna be a blue wave on the at
least at the top of the ticket, but I'm hoping all the way down,
too, because one thing thatpeople need to remember is,
(26:11):
yeah, the presidential electionis important, but the entire
ballot is important, and a lotof the Damage is being done.
Yeah,
Zach (26:20):
please vote local, because
the states are laboratories of
democracy, and the state andfederal government work in
conjunction with each other. Soall the all that money that's
going to come from the federalgovernment for things like high
speed rail and school lunches, the states are going to need to
(26:43):
dole out that money. So you haveto vote locally, not just
governor, not just for citycouncil person or town hall, but
school board. You have to voteas local as possible. And
another thing I really likeabout this is they're, they're
mentioning project 2025, like, there's no tomorrow, yeah, and
(27:07):
Trump cannot run from itanymore. He just he cannot. He
cannot. I think it was foundthat he actually took a private
plane ride with the actualauthor behind project 2025 a
couple of years ago, so now hedefinitely can't distance
(27:29):
himself from this. But yes, keepmentioning project 2025 just
keep mentioning it along withwhat you're going to do. But
keep mentioning project 2025because product 2025 is really
the end of the end of ourdemocracy, not as we know it,
but the end of democracy ingeneral. So for all that is
(27:50):
good, keep mentioning product2025
Landon (27:55):
I saw a tweet, well, I
saw a meme of a tweet because
I'm not on Twitter, and I don'tknow if it's true, but I hope it
is Margaret Atwood saying, Ithink I'm gonna have to sue
project 2025 for plagiarism, because this is my book. It
(28:17):
really is.
Vanessa (28:19):
For those that aren't
familiar with Margaret Atwood.
She's the author of Handmaid'sTale, and, yeah, we are not. I
remember. I remember hearing hersay she's like you people, you
weren't supposed to take my bookas a playbook. It's not supposed
to be literal and, oh, it's justcrazy. But with there's so much
(28:44):
good coming out from the leftnow to just counterpoint up,
just the the straws at the rightare grasping behind left and
right, and I think that wefinally have the power to create
some change. And because there'sstill scary things happening in
Ohio, a federal judge, Nikki'snodding. She knows that I will
(29:07):
talk about a federal judge justupheld HB 68 banning care for
trans youth, banning youthsports and all sorts of other
things. And I don't know if it'strue or not. I heard somewhere
where the judge said, you know,if you don't like my ruling,
(29:28):
then get out there and vote. ButI don't know if that's true or
not, but I wouldn't besurprised, because that's
something a cocky ass fuckingRepublican judge would do. So
like, this is going to hurt kidsdesperately bad, and it's
frustrating. I I don't know ifyou all know I'm a I'm part of a
(29:49):
group called Ohio equal rights, and we're working on a pack to
we're we're a pack working on acitizen led ballot initiative to
ensuring equal rights in theOhio constitution. So. Yeah, and
y'all, it is so hard to get thisoff the ground. We cannot get
money. We have all these peoplethat are like, we really love
what you're doing. Let's dothis. Let's get on it. But no
(30:10):
one is willing to actually helpus get off the ground. And
without money, we can't make ithappen. About a citizen ballot
initiative cost 10s of millionsof dollars, and that's the only
way that we're going to be ableto make change until we can
finally vote these fuckers out.
Ohio has a citizen ledinitiative right now to end
(30:30):
gerrymandering in the state andput district drawing of district
in the hands of the citizens.
And the Republicans are alreadyfreaking out about that. They're
trying to introduce their own tocounteract it, but the
Republicans maps have beenstruck down as unconstitutional
over and over and over again, sothey're desperate to hold on to
(30:53):
power, and we have to doeverything we possibly can. So
look up what's going on in yourstate. If you're in Ohio,
support groups like Ohio equalrights, if you can, other states
I'm sure, have a lot of samethings. And as Zach said, you
start at the very lowest tier ofelected officials, because
(31:16):
that's where they get theirstarts. When I ran for office, I
started higher. I started withthe Ohio House, because that's
where I was needed. Normally, Iwould have started with school
board or something like that, because that's where you get
your foot in the door. So we wecan make some change here, but
(31:37):
it's going to be hard. So whatelse is on people's minds?
Landon (31:44):
One thing about kamala's
announcement that made me quite
excited was I was so very tiredof seeing leftists saying they
would not be voting for Bidenover Gaza, which is horrible. It
is a genocide. Israel iscommitting a genocide against
(32:05):
Gaza. Guess what? Trump alsosupports Israel. Okay, so let's
get that clear. The genocidewill continue if it was Biden or
not, and it will be so muchworse in America, if Trump is re
elected, it was just remindingme of the frustration I felt
(32:27):
when it was Hillary and Icouldn't vote and everyone, like
all of the women who were sayingI can't vote for Hillary because
of how she treated Monica likeI'm a girl's girl, so I can't be
voting. I'm abstaining fromvoting, or I'm voting third
party. And then the crying fromthese women when Hillary didn't
(32:47):
win the day after, when theyrealized it's like but you
couldn't get your hands dirty.
Sometimes you have to makedecisions for the greater good,
even if they aren't perfect, anda lot of leftists are too scared
to do that because they justdon't want to get their hands
dirty.
Zach (33:08):
Why? I'm glad she picked
Josh Shapiro, because that would
have been, oh yeah, one of herbiggest mistakes if she had
picked Josh Shapiro for VPinstead of Tim. Tim walls, and
by the way, Shapiro said hedidn't want to leave the
governorship anyway. But, youknow, i It seems, from what I've
(33:29):
read, that walls, who is alsopro Israel, is willing to move a
couple of inches because hesaid, you know, Jewish students
need to feel safe on campus.
Okay, good point, but we shouldalso listen to the protesters,
because they have a point. Soit's a far cry from the rhetoric
(33:51):
that's been out there againstthe the protesters who are
against the genocide in Gaza. Soit's not perfect, but I will
take it, considering I'm one ofthe ones who's been down to DC
multiple times.
Vanessa (34:12):
Yeah, actually, I was
listening to a local news
podcast. They were talking aboutTim and his views on Israel and
Gaza, and I believe that theyread a quote from him that kind
of aligned with what I how Ifeel, where it's like what's
(34:34):
happening. Israel has everyright to defend itself, but the
way that they're defendingthemselves is not in line. It's
it's against human rights. Itis. It's a horrible thing that's
happening you. It's not antisemitic to be against what is
(34:56):
against Israel's response toGaza. It. He is anti semitic to
go after them because they'reJewish. But two things can be
true. They can be doingsomething wrong because
something wrong happened tothem, and that, that's the big
(35:19):
that's the big issue with allthis, it's just frustrating,
because I know we all feelhelpless when it comes to the
situation in Gaza, there's justnot much that we can do. And
anytime we talk about it, peoplestart slapping us in the face
with anti semitism. And youknow, the people that are going
after us for saying we're antisemitic are the same people that
(35:42):
are anti semitic themselves.
Like Josh Shapiro is Jewish, andyou know that, had he been on a
ticket, all these people thatare pro Israel going on about
people upset about the genocidebeing anti semitic will be like,
Well, I don't know if I want tovote for him, because he's a
Jew. So it's, I can my dad'sdead, but I can just hear him in
(36:07):
my head, because he hated Jewishpeople. He was so anti semitic,
and he would just be going onand on and on and on and on and
on and on about it. So, but it'sa Nikki your face. You are
making the face of faces. What'son your mind? Girl,
Nikki Smith (36:28):
no, I just I have a
very vivid memory of a
Thanksgiving dinner at my housewith a certain relative going on
an anti semitic rant at thetable, and I, my family is, is
they're pretty right leaning I'mthe definitely a black sheep.
But even they were like, Dude, shut up. Oh my god, that is not
(36:51):
the place for this. And anyway, that was fun. And
Vanessa (37:02):
how about this whole
boxer situation? Oh, go ahead.
Zach,
Zach (37:04):
yeah, but I just wanted to
say, you know, going way back to
the 2000 election, when Al Gorechose Joe Lieberman, you know,
you could say what you wantabout being hanging chads, say
what you want about thesituation in Cuba, and how
voters in how, how, you know,Hispanic Republicans were the
(37:27):
factor that gave Bush the WhiteHouse the Supreme Court. But I
do think there was this. Therewas a segment of people who were
pretty silent back then becausethere was no social media that
didn't want a person of Jewishfaith that close to the White
House, and I thought that was afactor in why Laura lost, and
had Kamala chosen Shapiro forVP, I think that would have been
(37:53):
a major factor that would havethat would have played into
this, this election, especiallynow With social media being so
out there as it is, the antisemitism that would have come
from it all it, it would have,it would have hampered her
campaign. And, you know, wedon't know what the results
(38:16):
going to be in November, butwould have had a pretty clear
indication of where it was goingto go going forward. So I just
wanted to add that it wasprobably a better, a better
choice on on her part, and I
Vanessa (38:31):
wouldn't be surprised
if she considered that, and it's
horrible. You have to considerthat like, what, what someone's
response should be when someonesays, oh, that person's Jewish,
the response you should give tothat is, who cares? It has no
effect on you. Has no effect onme. Religion and faith are
(38:52):
that's your own damn business.
So I love
Landon (38:55):
pointing out to
evangelical Christians, Muslims
and Jews have the same God asyou and the number of them that
argue and say, No, it's like,
Nikki Smith (39:08):
well, I would like
to say that I I appreciate a
very different Jesus than mostpeople do. I appreciate a Jesus
that hung out with the hookersand actually gave a shit about
other human beings, and was notwhite, by the way. Put that out
there. Yeah,
Landon (39:27):
the liberal socialist,
Middle Eastern, Palestinian,
Jewish refugee from the Bible.
He was awesome. Book Club sucks.
Nikki Smith (39:43):
He doesn't have
children. He never had children,
by the way. I don't know if theyif
Landon (39:48):
child weirdo, childless
weirdos,
Vanessa (39:51):
plus a bunch of guys
wanting around in the desert.
Yeah, married to a sex worker, hang out with a bunch of guys.
Landon (40:00):
Was conceived out of
wedlock. Mm, hmm. Vastly, it's
just
Vanessa (40:04):
all the things, and the
Jews don't believe that he was
even the Savior. Yet, all theseChristians are going on all
about Israel, so I don't fuckingget it. I hear a kitty. That's
mine. That's Nikki's kitty. Iwas when I heard the word
hanging, Chad, it just made melaugh, because I'm like, I had
mine removed. It doesn't hanganymore. So that's a trans joke.
(40:30):
Speaking of trans this bullshitgoing on with that poor boxer
out of Algeria, right? What thefuck it's so maddening, like I
was about to join, I'm gettingmy real estate license back, and
I was about to join a brokeragecalled Real, big surprise,
(40:51):
right? Real, real brokerage, andthere's a major, like, a big
player in the local in theNortheast Ohio real estate, who
is a part of real and she shareda fucking Daily Mail article
where they called her abiological male. And I got
(41:13):
fucking pissed. I immediatelyreached out to her broker, and
then I went through all thepeople that were commenting on
her posts and reached out totheir brokers. And the thing
that pisses me off is, I knowthe fact that I contacted the
brokers, nothing's gonna fuckinghappen, but it's they're sharing
fucking hate speech. Be careful.
Those of you looking to hire arealtor, do your research on
(41:35):
them. Look them up on socialmedia, see what they post,
because there are a lot offucking bigoted realtors out
there so, but she does notdeserve the hate that she's been
getting. Yeah, and I, my heartjust aches for her. I'm hoping
that she's just saying, fuck allthese people I'm just gonna keep
(41:58):
on fighting, which apparentlyshe is, and from what I
understand, she won. So good.
Have Have you all seen a bunchof bullshit going on in your
circles, too, that you just wantto reach through the screen and
beat people with yourmicrophone?
Landon (42:16):
Well, on the boxer, my
favorite thing is the people who
argue that gender is not acomplex spectrum, and the same
people who will argue intersexpeople are not real. And then
you go, but this and so itdoesn't come down to the
genitals. It comes down to thechromosomes. But chromosomes can
(42:38):
be a vast array of things. Andthen they'll go, No, they can't.
And then you go, but you justsaid they could. And it's and
then it's like women who areintersex with X Y chromosomes
have, in rare cases, been knownto be able to give birth. So
either gender is a very complexspectrum, or it's your limited
(43:02):
two thing binary, in which casethis is not an issue for you.
Vanessa (43:10):
It's like the you don't
typically, yes, someone assigned
female birth is going totypically have 2x chromosomes.
Someone signed male birth istypically going to have x y. But
that's not always how it works.
A quick Google search can verifythat, but people don't know how
(43:31):
to do that, and it's it doesn'tmatter, really. In the end, all
these people that are going onabout chromosomes? Have they had
their crimsons checked? Are theysure that they are have the
chromosomes that they think theydo? Because it's like one in
20,001 in 80,000 don't I
Landon (43:53):
feel like, if this is
what the conservatives want,
just just to make sure sportsstay legitimate. Every person in
America should have to get akaryotype test and report that
data. That would make me laughso hard.
Vanessa (44:17):
So we are about 45
minutes. Does anyone have
anything else they want to getout there before we do Cards
Against Humanity? I
Nikki Smith (44:24):
do do it. Thank
you. So this has come across my
my feeds recently. Actually, this is a few weeks ago, but
this is in my realm of world.
But medical aid in dying rightnow is only legal in 10 states
which it's great because moreand more states are starting to
put it on their you know, on ona bill to pass to have it
(44:45):
legalized in their states too.
However, there are two statesright now actively fighting to
change their state constitutionto never allow medical aid in
dying, and one state thatcurrently has it legalized. It
is fighting to reverse it andmake it illegal again, and that
is pissing me off today. Soeverybody should have the right
(45:08):
to die with dignity if they sochoose. You know,
Vanessa (45:12):
legally, like we put
our animals down,
Nikki Smith (45:16):
no but we did not
do that for our parents or our
grandparents or spouses, whichand being in the line of work
I'm in, I get to watch peopledie horribly all the time. It's
awful.
Landon (45:30):
Yeah, yeah. And the
thing with like it is one of
those, if yes, some rules needto be put in place around it.
Absolutely, I agree, but whenyou're dealing with somebody
who, let's say, they're onhospice, and everyone knows
they're slipping away, and theyknow they're slipping away, and
(45:52):
everyone in the family hasrallied around for them to say
their final goodbye, and it's awonderful time, and that would
be the time for them to go whilethey're still with it, and
knowing what's going on, andbeing able to have the real
final goodbye, as opposed tohaving two, three months of them
(46:12):
just dragging it out, becausedeath is not quick. No, people
think it is, and then it isn't,
Nikki Smith (46:19):
and there's gasping
and choking that can happen. I
will say that for anybodylistening. I'm sorry, no, I
Zach (46:27):
just said shout out to
Jimmy Carter, yeah,
Nikki Smith (46:30):
right. If anybody
lives in those states where it's
not legalized, Oregon andVermont, remove their residency
restrictions, they will takepeople from out of state. So
there you go
Vanessa (46:41):
to Oregon. In Vermont,
it's, as she says, You should be
able to die with dignity, 100%dignity that we're not just
suffer. So
Zach (46:54):
death is not equal in the
in terms of the process that the
body goes through as it's dying.
Death is not equal in thatsense, or the functions of the
body aren't equal.
Nikki Smith (47:09):
Hmm, that's an
interesting question. Diane
Zach (47:13):
Feinstein, a lot of people
say that she was actively dying,
but I'm asking if, becausethere's our portrayal of death
in popular culture, and thenthere's what actually happens,
and I'm asking if what actuallyhappens varies from person to
(47:34):
person.
Nikki Smith (47:36):
Yeah, oh yeah, it
does very much. So yeah.
Zach (47:41):
So you could be, you could
be, like, healthy one day and
then dying the like, likegasping the next,
Nikki Smith (47:51):
yeah. I mean, I
mean, it depends on what you're
dying of. But even so, like,I've watched how many people
with cancer die, and everyonehas had a very different death.
So
Zach (48:01):
I'm just, they're all
honestly just thinking about
natural causes, but Okay,
Nikki Smith (48:05):
gotcha, yeah, yeah.
Landon (48:10):
All I'm gonna say is I
am going to create a Living Will
when I'm older, and I want tohave it very clearly stated that
once I'm no longer cognitivelywith it, and I'm on hospice.
Stop giving me water. Just stop.
Because all the water is doingis going to prolong it out.
Nikki Smith (48:33):
And you can do
that. That is legal anywhere.
It's called voluntary, stoppingeating and drinking, V Sud, that
is legal whatever you want, andyou can put honey, fill out your
living will now. First of all, everybody just do that. I was
waiting for you to say thatyou're welcome if you're over
18. Fill that shit out. You cando that now. But yeah, you can
absolutely spell that out inyour will that you would like to
(48:54):
withhold food and water. Yes,you can. Thank you.
Vanessa (48:59):
That's good. Thanks
Nikki Smith (49:00):
for coming to my
TED Talk,
Zach (49:05):
for us to actually like
transcend properly, because I
have a feeling AI is going toplay a huge role in how we die,
if we die at all, or can wetransfer our consciousness to
something else while our bodygoes I mean, it's, it's fantasy
(49:29):
now, but I have a feeling in thenext couple of decades, it won't
be or there will be somethinglike it. Yeah,
Vanessa (49:37):
I don't get it.
Nikki Smith (49:39):
I guess we'll see.
I don't think
Vanessa (49:41):
I want to live forever,
though. No, me neither. I'm
Nikki Smith (49:43):
good, yeah,
Vanessa (49:46):
okay, Cards Against
Humanity. Time, since there's
four of us, I just I pulled fourcards at random. And so how this
works is we each get a blackcard that says something. On it,
and then we come up with our ownkind of white card answer to it.
And it can be raunchy, it can beclean, just whatever, just as a
(50:08):
way to, you know, do a littlebit of a laugh at the end of the
show. And so who wants to gofirst?
Nikki Smith (50:16):
I'll go first.
Okay, Nikki,
Vanessa (50:19):
your card. Mm, there we
go. They I'm gonna read it, then
hold it to the camera, because Ican't do both. They said we were
crazy. They said we couldn't putblank inside of blank. They were
wrong,
Nikki Smith (50:34):
so we're crazy.
They got blank inside of blank.
So we're crazy. We cannot put,Oh man, I'm usually quick with
these, like, couldshoot, I mean, there's the
(50:56):
obvious, but there's there's thedirty answers, but what's the
fun on that? Going blue isn'talways the I wasn't always the
best option is always the best.
They said, We're crazy. Wecouldn't put our ashes into
space, but they were wrong, because we can't do that. Now,
(51:19):
that's not very interesting, butthere you go.
Vanessa (51:22):
No, but it's true. It's
true. Good job, good job. Nice
clean one. Nice clean one, keeping the G rated in this
fucking show. Fuck Shit ass.
Fuck Bitch. Fuck yeah.
Nikki Smith (51:36):
I have a picture
right in front of me that says,
damn it, shit, fuck crap.
Vanessa (51:41):
That's yeah, I think we
all need that. We all need that.
Yeah, that's pretty epic. Okay, who's next?
Landon (51:48):
I'll go.
Vanessa (51:51):
June Rogers. What ended
my last relationship?
Landon (51:57):
Bill Nye, the Science
Guy. I
Vanessa (52:03):
uh, fucking Bill Nye
always fucking shit up. Come on,
come on.
Landon (52:07):
He said the earth wasn't
flat. And then he was all like,
Bill, now the Science Guy saysit's round. I was like, the
earth is flat. Flat, super flat.
Vanessa (52:17):
Have you seen that, the
documentary, and that guy that,
like the Flat Earther, that, like, strapped himself into a
rocket like multiple times toshoot himself up off the ground
and to show that the Earth wasflat. And, of course, he wound
up dying natural selection,it's, it's classy. Zach, you're
(52:41):
up next. I never trulyunderstood blank until I
encountered blank.
Zach (52:54):
Interesting.
I never truly understood thehuman conditions like countered
Maga, shit,
Nikki Smith (53:10):
yeah, you win.
Vanessa (53:12):
Yeah, I think you win.
I don't even know if I can go,but that's yeah. I'm kind of
speechless, but that's very truein my card follow up to that's
kind of topical war. What is itgood for?
Landon (53:31):
Genocide? Genocide.
Vanessa (53:34):
Yeah, I was just gonna
say titties, because that's my
internet. So, yeah, exactly, everyone. I everybody loves
tits. Yes, everybody loves tits.
So with, you know, I've beenover this over and again, over
and over again on the show. Youknow, there's some people that
don't like tits on themselves, but they still like tits. So,
(53:55):
yeah, all right. Well, closingthoughts, anybody?
Nikki Smith (54:09):
Go Team Blue?
Vanessa (54:15):
Definitely go team
blue. So for the listeners and
watchers, you can find land andread on Tiktok and Instagram and
YouTube, too, at me him andsoon, with his persona, June
Rogers,
Landon (54:32):
America's most eligible
housewife.
Vanessa (54:34):
Mm hmm, which is
fucking epic Nikki. It can be
found at Nikki to death doula.
And she has a podcast calledGood grief, which I was on, so
it means that it was amazing.
And, Zach, do you have anythingpublicly that you want to throw
out there for people that you'reinvolved with?
Zach (54:53):
Um, I mean, I'm on
LinkedIn, so you can find me
there. And you can find what I'mdoing on LinkedIn as well. But
as I said before, I'm involvedwith trying to get out the vote
and protect the right to voteand promote civic engagement to
(55:15):
students. So finally, doingthat,
Vanessa (55:21):
which is good and
important, and it's fun. You
bring up LinkedIn, because sinceI stopped my job hunt, I've,
like, barely been on LinkedIn atall, because I was just so burnt
out from it. I've I've picked upmy own business and just started
running with it. And last monthI did almost $8,000 in sales,
(55:43):
when my typical month is about1500 so I'm happy. And so yeah,
thank you. We had. Do you allwant to guess how many people we
had watching this live stream?
Oh, oh, zero. Nikki, zero. Not asingle fucking person watched
(56:04):
it. Yay. We did we win theinternet? So thank you. Do
Nikki Smith (56:14):
we get the booby
prize? Because I like boobies?
Landon (56:17):
Yeah, I don't
Vanessa (56:21):
want to get banned.
But, you know, I am perfectly ifyou want to see my titties, just
ask and I will text you apicture of my titties and
whatever else I show everybodyin my bits. Like, hey, almost
everybody I know see my pussy.
So, yeah, anyways, I'mvenustrati. All this has been
Landon Nikki and Zach forepisode 50, our 50th episode of
(56:46):
transcending humanity. We'restill going, and I'm looking for
a guest. I'm almost out ofguests for upcoming episodes. I
really want to focus on thebipod community, other than this
call right here. This has been avery white show, and I think in
(57:07):
the little bit of nuts, yeah, yeah. So the diversity,
Landon (57:14):
what can you do? You're
welcome. We
Vanessa (57:16):
have a lot of diversity
on this call, though, so which
is fun, but yeah, I I'm tryingto really get into the humanity
part. And I recognize, as awhite person that I have no idea
what it's like for people not ofthis pale complexion. And I
(57:37):
really want stories and stufflike that from a wide range of
people, not just this. So thankyou everyone for joining us.
This is a long sign off and seeyou next week, episode 51 will
be with Klaus Van Hollen low ofYouTube, quasi fame. So toodles
(58:02):
have uh, stop recording. Ialmost hit the wrong button.
