Esther’s Story: For Such A Time As This - Part 1

According to the Bible, Israel has faced many occasions where their entire nation was attacked and threatened with annihilation.  The book of Esther contains the history of one such occasion in which I'm going to begin to read and break down the entire book to help put things into perspective.  In this episode, I begin with brief, yet essential historical content in order to set the stage so that when the story begins, the series of events that take place make more sense.  

The first event is a massive party and war-planning meeting followed by a queen who gets her crown taken away, to then an unsuccessful invasion, to then an empire-wide beauty competition that of course leads to a new queen, and finally wrapping chapter 2 up by exposing a plot to assassinate the king.  So if you think that's a lot, just wait.  It gets crazier and more shocking by the chapter, so be sure to keep listening in to each part of the story!  

Please note that this is my personal interpretation of the scripture to the best of my current knowledge and understanding.  I encourage anyone to please check and verify as the scripture encourages all believers to do so.  There may be times where I have overlooked and/or misunderstood information by mistake which is why verifying is important if you feel lead by the Holy Spirit to do so.
