- Of course - there was another failed assassination attempt on former president Donald Trump.
- Also on Sunday, Trump seemed to have an out-of-nowhere delayed reaction to Taylor Swift's endorsement of Harris, taking to Truth Social to type “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
- Early polls indicate a post-debate bump for Harris, and her campaign reported a $47 million fundraising haul int he 24 hours after the debate (her biggest day since she launched her campaign in July).
- And the House GOP is once again playing games with the budget, suggesting they'll attach the "SAVE Act" to the budget that they say is designed to keep "non-citizens" from voting (not an actual problem with our elections), threatening a potential government shutdown in less than two weeks if they can't pass a CR.
