birthday, because he made me amommy.

I asked him what his favoritesare at the time of the
recording.
Maybe things have changed today,who knows, but.
Essentially, I wanted to curateour conversation and where he is
at at this time of his first fewyears of life.

I grew up.
With being recorded all thetime.
And I'm sure for many of us momswho consider yourselves
millennials, like we all grew upwith being recorded with.
camcorder.
My grandparents still have videotapes of me as a little girl,
literally the Eagles age.
And I thought.

Well nowadays everyone.

We capture everything on ourphones and, and that's all good.
But sometimes these are either alittle glimpses of video
recordings or just pictures.
And I thought, what is anotheralternative And I'm like, I'm
just going to record this kid.
through the podcast, but also heis obsessed with my microphone.

Both of the boys are reallyobsessed with it.
And they have definitelyutilized the microphone for jam
sessions.
But this time I had him sit downwith me and we had a
conversation about him.
And that way I get to capturehis voice and just like his
thought process and really whathe is interested in.

I Know that this interview isall in Spanish.
this kid does not want to speakEnglish to us.
It's funny.
He goes to school.
He goes to half day preschool.
At least for this year, hisclass is all in English, even
though.
Two out of the three teachersthat are, there are Spanish

speaking teachers.
So like they accommodate him.
They still speak to him inSpanish, but a lot of the books
that they've read and the songsthat they seeing it's mostly in
English and won't be until nextyear.
Where he will be officially inthe dual language program at his
school.
So needless to say, heunderstands English and he has

had a full-on sentence inEnglish with my non Spanish
speaking family members andfriends.
But for some reason with us,he's like, Nope, I'm speaking to
you in Spanish.
So just so you know, Thisinterview is all in Spanish
