Are you ready?
Let's walk.
Hey, deva, hey, listen, as weare talking about brand, a lot
of you are saying, okay, I haveto figure out my brand.
What does that look like on theoutside?
(01:29):
I know how I feel.
I know how I kind of dress.
I know the things that some ofthe things that I like and some
of the things that I don't like.
But I really want to put myselftogether in the next 30 days so
that people will look at me andlike who's that lady?
(01:51):
Who's that lady?
Right, sexy lady, yeah, right.
So listen, here's not the firstthing that you can do.
If you are a woman that doesnot care about hair, okay.
If you don't care about hairand you, like I can't stand on
(02:15):
my hair, you're the ponytailgirl.
All you do is wear your hair ina ponytail all the time.
I don't care if you're naturalor you have a perm or whatever
it is.
Stop wearing the ponytails, okay, stop wearing them all the
(02:36):
time.
Get you a few sister girls.
If you don't want to do hair, get you a few sister girls,
sister girls.
Y'all know what I'm talkingabout Wigs, and the funniest
thing is that we are all intowigs.
Now.
I remember when my mama used towear wigs and she had them
(02:58):
lined up and she had hair, beautiful hair and I used to be
like why you wearing wigs, mom,I'm never going to wear wigs.
And now they're the next bestthing to slice bread, okay, and
you have what they call the lazyhair day.
You can throw on a wig and belike honey.
(03:20):
You feel like a differentperson.
You have renamed yourself, okay, you have renamed yourself.
So cry your ears out as yousing.
Don't stop slicking your hairback, number one, just tearing
up your edges and all the thingsand breaking your hair off.
So stop doing that.
Get you a couple of sistergirls, a different style, and
you can wear a different oneevery day if you feel like it.
(03:42):
Who cares?
People know that they're wigs.
Now, if we've gotten past thepretending that it's really out
here, they know it ain't outhere, so we could care less.
So wear what you want to wear, but have it nice.
That's the first thing that youcan do.
The second thing that you cando is define your style.
(04:02):
Are you a jeans and t-shirtgirl?
Okay, then make sure your jeansare good and stylish to your
body type.
Okay, make sure that they'restylish to your body type.
Just because skinny jeans arein, don't mean that you should
be wearing skinny jeans.
Just because flared legs are indoesn't mean that you should be
(04:27):
wearing them.
We have the habit and I had toget used to this.
I can't stand trying on clothes.
I really, really hate it, but Ihad to get to a point and say,
mary, you just can be like, ooh, these are my size and I'm going
to buy them because it may notlook well with you.
I like, really.
I like jeans that come past myankle, even if they slim,
(04:50):
because I'm 5'6", so anythingreally like to the ankle, I feel
high water-ish.
Okay, I can do capris that's acapri, but a jean like that, no.
I can do leggings like that, but not jeans.
That's me, that's my style.
(05:11):
So I have to try on jeans and Ihave to look at myself in the
mirror.
I'm a little hippie, so I gotto make sure that they're there.
I got a little gut going onright now, temporarily just wait
and see, and so I have to makesure that everything fits.
So later you have to try onyour clothes and you have to,
when it comes to like shirts andt-shirts, make sure that they
(05:36):
are.
You have to try them on andmake sure they fit you Right.
I'm busty, so some shirts Ican't wear because of that.
So you just have to make surethat you try on your clothes
right.
You have to make sure that youtry on your clothes.
That's the second thing thatyou have to do, okay, and the
(06:04):
third thing that you need tochange within the next 30 days
that people make you say, hmm, Ineed you to change your walk.
I know you're going to be like.
What do you mean, mary, when youwalk and you are confident and
you know who you are?
It's you people.
You've seen them when they stepout and they walk and you can
(06:27):
tell they're owning themselves.
They're owning their own right.
You walk in the room.
You've been in the room andsomebody walking the room and
it's like hello world, I am here.
Right, that's that confidence.
That is something that clothescan't buy.
It doesn't matter what you puton, it doesn't matter how much
(06:50):
it costs.
If you are not confident inbeing who you are, it's going to
show up in your walk, in theway that you sit.
It is watch yourself, sit in amirror, walk past the mirror and
watch the difference.
You know how it feel when youknow you look good.
You know that.
(07:10):
You know.
Don't nobody have to tell youyour walk is different.
But your walk should be likethat every day, because if you
are wearing your brand and thatconfidence comes with wearing
your brand you're going to walkand strut like that every day
and everywhere you go.
(07:31):
So those are the three things Iwant you to work on within the
next 30 days to get your lifeand your brand together and
watch people say who's that?
Lady?
Y'all, I love you.
Ain't nothing you can do aboutit.
Be blessed, live on purpose.
(07:52):
And last one All right, divas, what an episode.
Did I hit you in the head withone of those bricks.
Did you go out?
Did you have the ducking cover?
I know you went running aroundthe house checking for cameras,
looking under the bed, lookingout the window to see if I was
(08:13):
watching, because I was all inyour business.
I was on your street and inyour lane.
It's okay, though.
It lets you know that you'renot alone.
I hope that something that youheard resonated with you and, as
a result, you are starting toreposition your mind so you can
(08:35):
have the life that you want tolive.
Now.

podcast, but now I want to giveyou a gift.
