(01:06):
better sound quality than we hadbefore.

It ended up being a biggerproject than I thought.
You know how it is.
You think you're going tochange the spark plugs and
realize you got bad rings, soyou got to go to fix that

(01:27):
problem and that's exactly whathappened.
But it's so good to be backwith each and every one of you.

Platform allows it.
Thank you all so much.
Quick shout out to our sponsorsTrue Boss, lyricists and

(01:48):
Exquisite Creations, and GetRight Into Everything.
We've already been away fromyou so long.
I want to get those questions.
I want to finish getting thisone question answered and then
we're going to.
The questions have been pilingup in the email.
If you have biblical questions, feel free to send them to
walkwithmebiblestudy at gmailcom.

(02:10):
All one word, no spaces, nodashes, just
walkwithmebiblestudy at gmailcom.
Also on YouTube atwalkwithmebiblestudy, I think
it's 8473.
Apparently there are a lot ofwalk With Me Bible Studies on
YouTube, but it's Walk With MeBible Study 8473.

(02:31):
Until I come up with a bettername.
But thank you all so much.
Thank you, thank you.
So we want to finish thequestion about what is belief in
the Lord Jesus Christ, and Iknow it was such a.
It seemed like such a simplequestion, but the more we dug
into it, like my sound system, the bigger the answer got.

(02:53):
So we're going to try to wrapit up, because a lot of people
do it, or they say they do itwithout really knowing what that
is, and no fault to anyone.
You know the people who want tobelieve on the Lord Jesus
Christ, but it's more than justsaying there's something.
There's a lot of things that gowith it.

(03:15):
I invite you to go back andlisten to the last few episodes.
I wanted to go step by stepwith it.
One rule that we have on thispodcast make sure that we talk
about a Bible scripture, be it averse or two above or a verse
or two below, but preferably thewhole chapter.
Why?
Because context is key.

(03:37):
It's absolutely key inunderstanding what is being said
.
When it's being said why it'sbeing said.
I was talking to somebody and Isaid if I said bow and I
spelled it B-O-W-P-L-U-G-H if Isaid bow, then that means a tree

(03:58):
branch, b-o-u-g-h.
I said bow and that means atree branch.
But if I said bow before thecrowd, I'm not talking about a
tree branch, I'm talking aboutB-O-W, which is to bend forward
in a subservient gesture, or bowon a shift.
All these three well, eventhose two words are more
specifically spelled the same, but they mean something

(04:22):
completely different.
So context is very, very key.
You can even take the same wordbow, d-o-w, and say bow, and
that means to wrap it aroundagain.
So, again, context is key.
The more you read and get thecontext, the more understanding

(04:44):
we can have of the scripture, just so that we can know how to
do it right, right, okay.
So, with that being said, we'regoing to look at the Great
Commission.
Now, a lot of people get thiswrong, and we talk about this
quite a bit on this podcast.
But a lot of people get thiswrong, and we talk about this
quite a bit on this podcast, buta lot of people get it wrong,

(05:06):
and the reason why we're talkingabout it is because a lot of
people use this scripture to getit wrong.
So the Great Commission is Luke24 and 47, and you also see it
in Matthew 28, 19 and 20, andMark 16, 15 to 18.
Now, this was pretty much thelast, one of the last things

(05:28):
that Jesus said to the apostlesbefore being taken up into
heaven and only three writersreally record the last verse of
Jesus and what he was reallydoing was telling the disciples
what their big assignment was.
And Matthew 28, 19 says Now, ifyou believe in the Lord, jesus

(06:03):
Christ, you've got to do what hesays.
Not necessarily you've got toget on a plane and go to
Pakistan somewhere, but you'vestill got to preach the gospel
to everybody, everybody you meet, everybody you come in contact
with and I'm not saying, speakit in a crazy way.
You come in contact and I'm notspeaking to this thing in a
crazy way, but God is alwaysgoing to give you an opportunity
to either witness by youractions or be able to explain

(06:30):
how good God is.
So this is part of preachingthe gospel and you don't have to
do it, even in front of apulpit or a hard stand.
You don't need a microphone.
People are going to come to doit even in front of a poor bit
of understanding.
You don't need a people goingto come to you with problems.
That's a good way to say hey, man, listen, you know what I had
a situation, or I do asituation.

(06:52):
The bible says blah, blah, blahand that, whatever that chapter
and verse is, and this, this iswhy you've got to study the
Word of God to apply itcorrectly to the situation.
It's just a part of believing onthe Lord Jesus Christ.
You're not going to believe onthe Lord Jesus Christ and not
know what he said.
You're not going to believe onthe Lord Jesus Christ and not

(07:15):
read the Bible.
I'm not saying you have tomemorize everything line by line
, word by word, but if the Biblesays, and I'm going to believe
in the Lord Jesus Christ and thesame Bible says, you know,
don't put forth bitter water andsweet water out of the same
fountain, then you kind of wouldknow that, because of the

(07:36):
context, it means your mouthshould not put forth bad things
and bad things.
You should only be speaking toedify the body of Christ.
So this is what I mean.
So believing in the Lord JesusChrist and missing his name, hey
, you should be able to talk toanybody about the Lord, but not
only that be ready to baptizethem in the name of the Father

(07:59):
and of the Son and of the HolyGhost.
Now, let's stop right here, because this is where even more
people get wrong.
Other people left over thatactually go out and preach the
gospel to every Christian.
So many people get it wrong.
What is the name of the Father?
What is the name of the Son?
What is the name of the father?

(08:21):
What is the name of the son?
Then?
What is the name of the holygod?
Now, a vast majority of you whojust listened to this only said
one word, and you only saidthat word after I said the
second question, because he justsaid what's the name of the
father?
He said jesus.
He said jehovah was the name ofthe son, jesus.
And he said what's the name ofthe father?
You said Jesus.
You said Jehovah.
What's the name of the son?
Jesus.

(08:41):
And then you said what's thename of the Holy Ghost?
And you said Holy Ghost.
Or you didn't say anything.
When I said what's the name ofthe father and I said what's the
name of the son, you said Jesus.
Or you said what's the name ofthe Holy Ghost?
And you what is the name of theHoly Ghost?
And he just he was stunned.
Someone else on this podcastgot it right.

(09:04):
What is the name of the Father, jesus?
What is the name of the Son,jesus.
What is the name of the HolyGhost, jesus?
And now anybody else who didn'tsay that started looking at
their phone, looking at theirspeaker, looking at, started
looking at the walls like what?
Remember this is believe on thelord jesus christ, because if
you believe in the lord jesuschrist, you would know the part

(09:27):
where he said I am my father.
This is why studying, survivingor reading the bible, reading
his words and not just the onesin red I I'm talking about the
entire thing.
That's why it's important toknow what he said.
You can't believe somebody ifyou don't know what they said.

(09:47):
You just can't.
Now does that mean new peoplewho just started trying to live
for God don't believe in Jesus?
No, no, no, no.
There's a difference betweenbelieving in faith and believing
in God.
But because you didn't specifywhat you meant by believing in
the Lord Jesus Christ, or Ibelieve in the Lord Jesus Christ

(10:09):
, or what does that mean tobelieve in the Lord Jesus Christ
?
We have to cover both.
And believing in the Lord JesusChrist by faith Is saying I
know Jesus exists, jesus lovesme and I want to.
I want to live my eternity withJesus.
Okay, believing in knowledge Isalso believing in faith.

(10:35):
Believing in knowledge alsomeans hey, listen, I gotta know
what he's doing.
I gotta know what he wants meto do To get to heaven.
Believing in faith, believingin knowledge also means hey,
listen, all of these, I got toknow what he's doing.
I got to know what he wants meto do to get to heaven.
I have to know how to live, Ihave to know how to speak.
I have to know how to be moreChrist-like in order to get to
heaven.
That's true believing on theLord Jesus Christ.

(10:58):
So now, with the apostles beinggiven their great commission,
jesus led his disciples up toMount Olivet and told them to go
back to Jerusalem and wait.
And he said go back to see thepower of the Lord.
Now these guys actuallybelieved in the Lord Jesus
Christ because they went and didexactly what he said received

(11:18):
power from on high.
Now these guys actuallybelieved in the Lord Jesus
Christ Because they went and didexactly what he said they went
back and they waited.
All of them didn't wait.
Sometimes you have to wait.
Believing in the Lord JesusChrist means sometimes you have
to wait.
So they went back and theywaited on the Lord and they

(11:41):
waited, and they waited, andthey waited, and they waited,
and they ended up waiting forseven days.
And now we have the book of Acts, acts chapter 1, verse 4, 1
through 14.
And when the day of Pentecostwas come, they were all gathered
in one place one mind, oneaccord and one Sorry, that was

(12:12):
Acts, chapter 1, verse 4.
And being assembled togetherwith them.
The matter is that you shouldnot depart from Jerusalem, but
wait for the promise of theFather saying See, you have
heard of me, which means youheard this from me, you're
hearing this directly from me.

(12:33):
Go there and wait, because I'mtelling you to do it.
So, john truly baptizes water, but you shall be baptized with
the holy ghost.
Not many days since.
In other words, just a few moredays.
You're just gonna have to wait, right?
So?
So in that chapter two, thatmany days hence finally happened

(12:54):
2.1.
And the day of Pentecost wasfully come.
They were all one quarter, onemind, one place, and suddenly
there came a sound from heavenof a rushing, mighty wind, and
it filled all the house wherethey were sitting and there
appeared unto them cloventongues, like as a fire, and it
set upon each of them and theywere all filled with the Holy
Ghost and began to speak withtongues as the Spirit gave them

(13:16):
utterance.
So this is exactly whathappened when they believed on
the Lord Jesus Christ.
When you believe on the LordJesus Christ and the Bible says
believe on me, as the Scripturehas said, these things will
happen.
It's not just something thatyou just do or you just say.

(13:37):
Things happen when you believeon the Lord Jesus Christ.
So now that this has happenedand now that we've gotten the
Holy Ghost, so the people whohave believed on the Lord Jesus
Christ end up getting the HolyGhost.
Why?
Because they have committed oftheir sins to find out and later

(14:01):
on have been baptized in Jesus'name and will do exactly what
the Bible tells them to do.
Now let me just pause here forstation identification.
Now, let me just pause here forstation identification.
I am well aware, and even moreso aware in the last six months
ago, just how much false doctorswere going around.

(14:21):
I have run into some of thewildest doctors out there,
especially in the last sixmonths.
It's been pretty eye-opening,I'll put it that way.
But understanding that this isjust.
It's just imperative that youhave a Bible Now.

(14:47):
You don't even have to have abook or a bomb Bible with fancy
scriptures and insignias on itor whatever.
You can download the thing onyour phone.
Be careful of what version youdownload.
I just say it this way becausethat's just the way it is.
Be careful which version youdownload, but understand,

(15:12):
walkers, that you've you gottaread the bible.
You can walk with us, walk withme while we do it, while we go
through it, but I don't want youto fully trust me either
because I could be misleadingyou.
I know right, I know that comesas a shock and not that I would

(15:35):
say that I am misleading you.
Please don't put me in andtwist my word.
What I'm saying is, unless youknow for sure the Bible says to
make your calling and yourelection sure, unless you know
for sure that this Bible studypodcast is 100% taking the

(15:57):
unadulterated word out of theBible and giving it to you in a
study format, you should nottrust me if you don't know me.
Do I want you to come back?
Absolutely I want you to comeback.
I want you to walk with me andjust learn this Bible.
To come back, I want you towalk with me.
We've been doing this Biblestudy.
We've been doing this now forfive years and I feel like we've

(16:21):
gone through maybe 8% of theBible study.
We've skipped around a lot, basically because of questions,
but we've done everything fromfirst-time view to.
We've drilled down and we'vetalked about rather deep things.
I feel like we've barelyscratched only source of the

(16:59):
word of God.
Now I get it.
Some of you are still here andI appreciate your support.
I appreciate your kind words.
Thank you those who have sentthem to me, and I even
appreciate some of the trollcomments.
I love that.
That means I'm on target.
I'm over the target.
People start screaming becausethe bomber's over the target and

(17:20):
I go to an old saying.
But here's the thing I didn'twrite it.
If I wrote it, then I can sayI'm the guy with the cornerstone
.
I'm the only one you hear.
But listen, the Bible has to bein context Because we have to

(17:40):
use that in order to be saved.
Nothing else matters.
It doesn't matter how I feelabout it.
It doesn't matter if I agreewith it.
It doesn't matter if it's goingto cause me to lose friends.
It doesn't even matter if it'sgoing to cause me to gain

(18:02):
friends.
It's still not going to changethe truth that's in me.
And believing in the Lord JesusChrist is just doing what he
said and not I don't want to saynot questioning it.
Not.
I don't want to say notquestioning it, that's not doing
it right.
Believing in the word of JesusChrist is not just questioning
it or not just doing it becauseit's a habit, doing it out of

(18:25):
faith.
That's what I'm looking for.
It's a work of faith.
The bible does say faithwithout work is dead, because if
you believe in the Lord JesusChrist, then you're going to
work and do what he said.
So if Jesus says we should bemeek the meek inherit the earth

(18:48):
then you should be meek.
If Jesus says to be angry andsin not, then we need to find
out how to be angry or to beangry and sin not.
Jesus said a lot of things.
It will take me a week just togo half of what he said, but we

(19:12):
have to know how to do it theway he wants us to do it,
because, after all, jesus is Godand the best in the world.
So that's also part ofbelieving in the Lord Jesus
Christ the Lord, not a Lord, butthe Lord Jesus Christ, and
that's important too.
It's all equally important.

(19:34):
You understand that Jesus isGod and he is the way into
heaven.
That's about as succinctly as Ican put it, and I know we
traveled a long road to answerthat question.
I appreciate your patience.
I think we've had to take itabout a month to answer that

(19:55):
question, and it's okay.
It's okay Because I don't wantyou to feel as if it was just a
cookie cutter answer.
Sometimes you give a quickanswer and it doesn't come out
right and it doesn't sit right.
It kind of leaves a lot ofstuff behind.
Now that doesn't mean that Idon't want to ask questions.

(20:20):
I do Because I love biblicalquestions.
The more Bible questions youask, the more I get to study.
And the more I get to study, the more I learn about God.
And the more I learned aboutGod see how that sort of builds
in the end.
So, over and over, it sort ofbuilds one on top of each other
and that strengthens me as aLord and helps my ministry, the

(20:45):
ministry that God is giving me.
More on that later andhopefully, hopefully.
Here's another announcement's,one big announcement coming up.
Very soon my brother and I willbe launching a podcast.
I can't give you the title ofit yet, but as soon as we nail

(21:07):
that down, about a month beforethe first episode airs, we'll
probably start really announcingit.
All right, I'm going to cut itoff a little bit early because
it's summer and I just want tosee how this goes without too
much trouble.
So I love each and every one ofyou.
The new sound system is justamazing.

(21:29):
I feel like I'm going to haveto do some tweaking to it.
I love each and every one ofyou.
God bless you.
Hope to see you in the next one.
