SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Hello everybody and
welcome to today's episode of
Walk With Me.
I am your host JJ.
It's so good to have each andevery one of you here.
We are back.
Thank you so much.
We are finally starting to zeroin on this sound problem I've
had.
This is what happens when you Iguess you're a one-man operation
and you're kind of learning onthe fly.
(00:20):
Sometimes you blow stuff up, andthen sometimes you gotta replace
it.
But we are back.
Another thing though, a bigannouncement.
A big announcement.
We have a new non-profitorganization called Straight
Arrow Ministry.
Uh be on the lookout for that.
Um, you will start wheneverything is set up and ready
to go.
We've already got the businesspaperwork and everything.
(00:42):
Uh, but we will put a link inthe description of the uh of the
podcast and everything likethat.
Thank you so much foriHeartRadio for being patient.
Thank you for those who followon YouTube and pretty soon on
Rumble and all the other AppleSpotify and all the other
(01:02):
podcasts.
Thank you all so much for yourpatience.
We are back.
We are back.
Thank you all, thank you, thankyou.
And I I kind of feel kind of badbecause um the reason one of the
reasons why I wish I kind ofrushed coming back to the show
uh was because we were talkingand apparently there was some
(01:23):
sort of rapture hoax that wasgoing around.
Um, and the rapture hoax wasabout people thinking that uh
sometime in last week ofDecember or something that there
was supposed to be a rapture.
And I got a ton of questions, and so thank you for reminding
me.
Um if you have questions, emailme at walkwithme bible study at
(01:44):
gmail, walkwithme bible study atgmail.com.
So, um, oh and before I forgetto if you want your name to be
mentioned in the show, just putyour name in the in the uh in
the subject line.
I'm not asking for money orsomething like that to do this
is all me just doing what Godtold me to do.
(02:07):
And I thank each and every oneof you for watching and sharing
the podcast.
Thank you all so much.
Now back to what what washappening, people were floating
in my emails, and I actually hada very long conversation with uh
one of my Facebook friends, andshe was like, tell me about this
end time stuff in the raptureand why it doesn't make a lot of
(02:27):
sense.
So I I promised her that I wouldput together a a new season of
Bible study, and which is justwell, I would just go ahead and
call this a new season becausethat's just what I'm gonna call
it.
Um, and we're gonna talk aboutum the end time, and everybody
has a thing or they want to sayabout the end time, everybody
(02:49):
claims to be a an expert on theend time.
Here's the problem we can't beexperts on something we've never
seen.
So the only thing I can reallydo is tell you what the Bible
says and tell you what makessense, and hopefully not leave
anybody to be uh any likedeceived or misled because a lot
(03:14):
of people, and this was verysad, and I will get into the
lesson in just a second, but wewere I was very sad by what
people did when they thought therapture was coming.
Like people sold everything andgave everything away and gave
away pets, and one poor lady, Idon't know what she was
thinking, one poor lady evengave her kids away, which didn't
(03:37):
make sense to me because thatactually tells me that A, he
didn't know what she was doing, and B, how would you give your
kids away if your kids areinnocent?
So, um that a lot of thathappened.
So I hurried up and we puttogether, did some Bible studies
here.
We got every we got this stuff, and even when we're off here,
(03:59):
I'm still going to be um kind ofexpanding on what's going on,
okay?
So I love each and every one ofyou.
Uh, sit down.
This is gonna be the episode oneof I guess you're gonna call it
the end time study.
Okay, now um there are a couplerules for this podcast.
If you're brand new to thispodcast, please understand there
(04:20):
is there are rules to thispodcast.
The rules of this podcast is uhone, if you have questions, feel
free to ask.
There is no such thing as astupid question.
I will say that I get veryannoyed at questions people ask
questions just to be asking.
Um, and the reason for that isyou you're just asking a
(04:42):
question to debate.
I I find that I don't have time.
But if you're asking questionsbecause you don't know and you
really want to learn, like thereis no such thing as a stupid
question, right?
That's for that's rule numberone.
Rule number two is because ofthe um amount of time that we
(05:03):
have in every episode here.
I've already burned up fiveminutes.
Um whenever uh we give a script, always read a verse or two above
or the verse or two below, butpreferably the whole chapter,
please.
Preferably the whole chapter.
That's the way to go.
Why is that, JJ?
Because um, when you have Bibleum Bible scriptures, even if you
(05:27):
have this regular conversationwith somebody, if someone um
takes one sentence out of theentire conversation that you
have, they can take it out, twist it, flip it, and make it
say whatever they wanted it tosay.
We see that every day in ourmainstream media, we see that in
all media streams, AI has gottenvery good at it.
(05:51):
So, um remember, verse or twoabove, verses two below, the
Bible's the same way.
Um, you want to make sure youread everything in context.
Okay, now uh I have uh startedto stay more into the new the
King James Version and NewLiving Translation, um, and I've
(06:15):
really started to disavow someof the translations, and because
I have recently found sometranslations that I will not
mention here where somebody whowas not um not um how do I say
qualified, I guess, to makethese translations, and they and
they got the word then somecompletely weird ultimate.
(06:39):
I'm not gonna get into thatbecause we're already almost
seven minutes in, and I got alot of ground for the very first
episode, okay?
Alright, so the in time.
Now, first thing we gottaunderstand that there are end
time uh prophecies spreadthroughout the entire Bible, um,
and it's not just in revelation.
(07:00):
I have a very dear uh co-workerfriend that works who I love
dearly.
Um, she always is in revelation, but the problem with revelation
and and the problem with anybodywho sticks to revelation and
prophecy will be missingsomething.
Um, and when you miss something,as your human mind is prone to,
(07:24):
when you miss something, youtend to kind of auto-fill it in.
You auto-fill some of the thingsthat you don't understand just
so that your brain doesn't getstuck at the computer.
Um, there's reading tests aboutit all the time.
They'll they will actually put aparagraph up and they'll leave
certain letters out so that youcan fill it in.
(07:46):
This is what your brain, thebrain does.
So, when you are consideringreading about the end time,
reading about the propheciesconcerning the end time, there's
two main books that you want tofocus on because they both go
with each other.
One is Daniel and one isRevelation.
(08:07):
Yes, I say Daniel in the OldTestament.
Now, why would you study Danieland Revelation together?
Now, the answer kind of lines isin the fact that neither of the
books can be properly understoodwithout the other.
Um, now the books in this umBible study that we're gonna be
going through, this little walkwe're gonna go through, have a
(08:30):
lot of similarities.
Daniel uh was was uh was writtenby the prophet named James, um,
and Revelation was written byJohn.
And both of the both of thethese two people were considered
greatly beloved.
Um, and both dealt with a lot ofthe things, a lot of the same
(08:51):
subjects, such as you know, times of the Gentiles, rise of
the Antichrist, GreatTribulation, Armageddon, the
Millennial Kingdom.
Um, just that's just the batchof service because this is what
we try to look for.
Now, in Daniel and Revelation, there is a key to biblical
prophecy.
(09:12):
The writers strongly recommendthat you read and study both of
these together.
Okay, now I actually recommendthat you um go with this you
know, journey through uh uhthrough these two groups with
me.
And please understand I want youto mark some of the things that
don't make sense.
(09:33):
I need to be honest about thesethings because if you don't,
then it's not gonna work becausethat's how I have to put the
Bible study again.
Some of the things that seemweird, kind of outlandish, kind
of out, and seems sort ofrandom, just kind of put them
aside because and then we'll gothrough and we'll connect them
in the other books.
(09:54):
Now, there are two ways ofinterpreting Bible prophecy, and
a lot of times we tend to do itthe second way.
The first way to do it is byliteral translation.
Now, just like the word says, literal means it is what it is.
(10:17):
So if if the Bible's talkingabout the sun rising from the
from the east, it reallyliterally means the sun rising
from the east.
Um, and these are these kinds ofthings will be said in different
languages, such as Aramaic,Hebrew, and Greek.
Now, in a literal translation, there's no attempt to
(10:40):
spiritualize the meaning ofthese things.
Um, and when you spiritualizescripture, we tend to get very
close to um misinterpretingthings, and this is how people
end up throwing out names anddates.
Oh, this guy is the Antichrist, that guy's the Antichrist, uh,
and the wrath's gonna happenthis day when Jesus clearly
(11:03):
said, No man knows the day ofthe hour, but he did give us
time, right?
The other thing you have torealize when thinking about it
under a literal translation isthat both books are very, very
symbolic.
However, there are times thatthe scriptures themselves will
(11:25):
interpret the symbolic language.
Now, um, it's kind of it'll bekind of obvious once you start
studying it, which is symbolicand which is um which is uh
literal.
Like, for example, a lot of thevisions, you know, the Bible
will talk about visions anddreams and things of that
nature.
(11:45):
Now, the other way that um theBible, the prophecies are
interpreted is by futuristics.
Now, it's it's difficult toencapsulate what this is.
Um, for example, in some methodsof interpreting scripture, like
maybe a prophet will usesomething that did not exist in
(12:08):
their time, so they didn't havethe words to describe it.
And just for example, um, it hasbeen said that if someone uses
uh the term of this is a greatera that went forth, right?
And I literally just made thatup, so I don't know if that's in
the in there or not, but um thissays if the great era went
(12:30):
forth, then you could literallykind of futuristically
understand that they didn't knowwhat a missile was, they didn't
know what an ICBM was, so itcould be that they are talking
about that.
Oh, the great eagle rose fromthe ground.
Well, they could be talkingabout a uh 1147 deck because
(12:50):
they didn't have those words asa time, but um we have to uh
understand that even though someof the prophecy is fulfilled in
history, some of it stillremains to be fulfilled, and
then there's other things thatand I really try not to get
ahead of myself where there aresome things that are fulfilling,
(13:14):
and then some things that arewhat's called psychology, in
other words, a continuous termthat is prophecy by certain
events, but we'll get into that.
We have a lot of ground tocover.
So remember, take notes, stop, rewind, and ask questions,
right?
(13:34):
So let's talk about the prophecyof Daniel.
Um, the the book of Daniel iswritten in two divisions with
six chapters each.
The first six chapters aremainly historical, while the
second six are more prophetic.
And understand that Daniel wrotethe book in two different
(13:57):
languages.
One is Aramaic and Hebrew.
Now, for the reference to that,I want you to read uh Daniel 2,
4, uh 2, 4, and then 7 28.
And then we're gonna talk aboutsome of these verses.
Now, what concerns the Gentilesthough is written in a different
(14:19):
language either Hebrew orAramaic.
More than Aramaic.
What it was written to the Jewsis gonna be written mainly in
Hebrew.
Um, when Gary wrote the wrotehis book, um, it was one of the
most interesting uh portions ofthe Bible.
(14:39):
For a long time I consideredthat to be my favorite book of
the Bible.
It has completed fantasy uhprophecies, it has filled
prophecies, it has unfilled uhprophecies, and these prophecies
are operating and it's going togive a complete history of
(15:02):
different kingdoms of Daniel'sday and how it's going to
describe Christ and then thecoming end of the world or the
millennial kingdom is what wecall it.
Now, it should be noted thatDaniel was instructed to shut up
the words and seal the prophecyto the time of the end.
(15:23):
Now, the fact that this prophecyis no longer sealed and can be
understood is certain truth thatwe are now living somewhere in
the timeline of the end.
I'll say that again.
Remember, in read chapter Daniel12 and 4, and this is a time I
wish that we had uh I wish weliterally had a screen.
(15:48):
But Daniel chapter 12 and 4,I'll read it for you.
But thou, O Daniel, shut up thewords and seal the book, even to
the time of the end.
Many shall run to and fro, andknowledge shall be increased.
(16:09):
Now, what what the what God issaying to Daniel at this time is
seal those words, and when as wegain knowledge as people, these
words that you are writing now,as you are sealing up, will be
more understood.
Now, let's go back.
(16:30):
What is Dane?
What is the meaning of his name?
Now, one of the things you'llrealize that in biblical times
names had a lot of meaning.
A lot more meaning than we donow.
Like sometimes we might name ourkids something just because it
sounds good.
But literally, back in thosedays, the uh the names said a
(16:51):
lot.
For instance, Daniel uh would beDan, the judge, and EL is God.
So to judge of God, to be judgedof God.
So, or God is my judge, God willjudge.
So that's what Daniel means inthe original Hebrew.
(17:12):
Now, circumstances concerning uhDaniel is occurring because the
judgment of sin.
So again, in Daniel, you willhave sort of like this sort of
dichotomy where Daniel istalking about what's happening
at his time and what will happenin the future.
And a lot of times it'll runtime, it'll run side by side
(17:34):
concurrently.
Um, even though there are twomain divisions in this book.
Now, keep in mind, um about ahundred years before Daniel,
Hezekiah, which was the king ofthe Jews, Judah, um, had shown
holy temples, uh holy vessels ofthe temple to heathen
(17:56):
Babylonians.
And in 2 Kings we read, therewas a judgment spoken.
Behold, the days come, and allthat is thy house shall be
carried into Babylon, saith theLord.
And of thy sons shall they takeaway, and they shall be eunuchs
in the palace of Babylon.
That literally took 100 yearsfor God to fulfill.
(18:18):
And he fulfilled it in Daniel 1and 3.
Daniel 1 and 3 says this.
And the king spake to Aspenaz, the master of eunuchs, that he
should be bringing certain ofthe children of Israel and the
king's seed of the uh and of theprinces.
These king's seed, the threeboys that we talk about all the
(18:42):
time, uh Badrak, Meshach,Abednego, which was the uh
Babylonian names of the three, were actually descendants of
Hezekiah.
So even though God is giving uhjudgments, God is also speaking
a prophecy that is now beingfulfilled.
(19:03):
Now, so God delayed judgment, and God we see this a lot.
Well, God will delay judgment, but it will come true.
And so I want you to put that onyour brain because we all look
at, okay, uh, when God sayssomething, it's gonna happen
right away.
Now, there are a lot of times, again, I'm really trying to stay
on track here.
(19:24):
There are a lot of times whenGod will pronounce a judgment
and it goes distantly, likeNebuchadnezzar.
But again, I'm trying not to getahead of myself.
Now, Daniel, who was pretty muchknown for his piety and
everything he knew, has alwaysbeen one of the favorite
(19:45):
characters of the entire Bible.
And Ezekiel mentioned Daniel acouple times, uh joined his name
with Noah and Job, and Jesusmentioned Daniel by name, uh,
regarded him as a prophet.
Daniel was of the tribe ofJudah, which is, if you remember
some of the uh things that wetalked about, how important that
(20:08):
was to be from the tribe ofJudah.
Uh, he was of noble blood, so hecould have very well traced his
ancestry back to King David.
Now, the first invasion of uhJerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar took
place in the third uh year ofmess that one up.
Gel Hytim, uh 606 BC.
(20:30):
So now afterwards, Daniel tookabout 20 years, he was about 20
years of age, and these threecompanions, the Hebrew boys that
we like to sing about a lot, wastaken captive.
That was eight years beforeEzekiel was taken captive.
Now, and and we want to makesure we cover Daniel's character
(20:52):
because Daniel, we kind of wegotta kind of get to know Daniel
rather than just this old guywith the fiery eyeballs that
wrote a book.
So keep in mind, Daniel was onthe same level as Ezekiel, he
was on the same level asJeremiah, Obadiah, Avenue, he
(21:13):
was a he was a prophet.
And the way Daniel buriedhimself is what caused us to
remit.
You remember, although Daniellived in some of the most
adverse uh Jewish, some of theworst times that was uh that the
Israelites experienced in postEgypt, he never compromised, he
(21:39):
never allowed sin and idolatry,he never allowed uh these things
to take root into his walk withGod.
He he literally stayed as pureas possible.
Um, you know, he he stood tallwhen Nebuchadnezzar said, Hey,
we're gonna make this statue, you're gonna bow down.
(21:59):
He didn't.
You know, he was talking about, well, you gotta make uh you
gotta pray, you can't prayanymore.
No, he Daniel still stayed andhe still prayed.
Now, this is why he reallybecame an actual favorite among
the heathen kings.
See, let me just stop right herebecause I'm gonna run out of
(22:19):
time.
But see, let me just stop righthere.
A lot of times we feel that wehave to conform ourselves to the
world.
The Bible tells us not to, butwe sort of feel like standing up
to uh standing up for Godsomehow makes us pariahs or evil
people.
The world will tell us thatpeople, but Daniel stood up and
(22:41):
he stood up in the correct wayand became a favor.
We talk about it all the time.
We talk about God's favor.
This is a perfect example ofGod's favor.
Watching what Daniel did, modeling our lives, our earthly
lives after what Daniel did.
He didn't go jumping into theking's court and beating
(23:02):
Nebuchadnezzar over here for thescroll.
No, he he just lived for God, hejust lived for God, and people
start understanding that yougotta live for God, then they'll
start feeding you a certain way.
Now, another thing about Daniel,he was not a slot.
Bible, there are some accountsthat call him handsome, call him
(23:23):
well built.
Now, you kind of see because inum in Daniel 1 and 3, the eunuch
was supposed to bring the best, the dream of the prop, the
chosen of the seed.
So that means Daniel had to behandsome, he had to be smart, he
had to be intelligent, he had tobe well built.
He was not some daughtering oldguy that we see in some of these
(23:47):
pictures.
He was not 26 years after hisprime and weighing 500 pounds.
He was not, he was he wasliterally one of a peak specimen
as it was, but he was alsospiritually pure and upright.
(24:08):
He had strong convictions, andhe stuck to those strong
convictions with firm purpose.
It wasn't just something to doon Sunday, and then you know, to
the Monday through Saturday, hewas you couldn't even tell him
apart from the Babylonians.
Daniel lived the way God wantedhim to live.
(24:28):
Um, and this is the same Daniel,if and I know you've heard about
this a lot.
We you kind of we kind of missedthat part when we talk about
these lions.
Now, because of this hischaracter, because of the way he
lived for God, he walked withGod, he perceived several
(24:49):
things.
He got revelation, preservation,he had exaltation.
He got revelation because he wasable to interpret dreams and
visions, and he became aspokesman of God, even when no
other spokesman spoken existed.
Um we talked about it before, but now we talked about
(25:12):
preservation.
We don't know how to walk withGod.
Or you can go in there after Idon't even go after anything,
(25:44):
but God raised them to a levelwhere everyone in the customer
will.
(26:37):
And in fact, let us almostalmost converted this.
So the other thing that we wesee often in these prophets is
that they make separationsnecessary.
This is where we're gonna endtoday because there's just so
much information about.
(26:57):
Um, you know, one thing I I kindof I'm dismayed at what we do in
today's church is that we sortof bring the world into the
church and we sort of uh conformto current standards and current
things that the Bible does nottell us to do, or tells us not
(27:19):
to do.
Holiness preacher, for instance,is not very popular.
So, you know, when and if Ibecome a pastor, please
understand that I'm gonna makesome people mad because I'm
gonna have to preach holiness atsome point and define it by the
biblical standard, not just someweird church thing.
It's gotta be by the Bible.
(27:41):
The power of God uh would reallycome with uh dedication and
separation from the world, andand that's that's key.
The biggest moves of God arepeople who are not not living in
a commune, that's not what I'msaying.
I'm saying being able to movearound in this world and not
have to accept the things thatthe world offers.
(28:04):
That's what separation from theworld means.
Oh, well, you know, you kind offeeling down here, here, have a
drink of alcohol.
No, that's not how this works.
Go and pray, and and you don'teven have to make it all a form
of prayer, just sit here andtalk to God for a second and
watch these answers come to you.
We're talking about separationfrom the world, and we are out
(28:27):
of time, so we are out of time, but we're gonna talk more about
Daniel, and the reason why we'retalking about Daniel is because
uh Daniel is and we're gonnatalk about John at the same
level, so please understandwe're going to go through this
very slowly because I don't wantanyone, at least anyone that
(28:49):
listens to this podcast, to bedeceived by someone else by some
death.
Thank you all so much forlistening, so much for joining.
I hope you enjoyed it.
I hope you like it, hope youshare it.
We will talk more uh next time.
Remember, if you have anyquestions or anything like that,
go ahead and send them to me.
If you want your name read onair, put uh put your name in the
(29:14):
subject line, and we'll I'll bemore than happy to help you.
But uh, we are we are out oftime.
So I love you all.
See you all in the next one.
God bless you.
