I'm going to try to save it forthe rest of the end of the
podcast.
Let's hope I remember.
But we are just.
Things are just happening.

(00:42):
I didn't want to say it beforewe went, uh, because I didn't
want anyone to ask afterwards, but, uh, we went to a family
reunion last week.
So during while you werelistening, for last week, we
were at a family reunion and Ilet me tell you guys that that
really blessed me.
It was blessed by god and Idon't know if, if, if, if,

(01:06):
you've been to a family reunionthat sort of went south, it went
sideways.
Man, let me tell you, it can bea very bad experience and I
didn't want to have to talkabout it if you did.
But let me tell you somethingGod bless that family reunion.
We had a wonderful time there, reunion.

(01:29):
We had a wonderful time.
You know how it is.
Some people are living for Godand some people are trying to
find their way to God.
You know how that can go.
But let me tell you somethingWalkers, this thing was a great
time.
I can go on and on and on abouthow wonderful it was.
But let me tell you something, something it was so great seeing
them again.
I hadn't seen them in a longtime, but, uh, I know some of

(01:51):
you guys listen to this podcastand I really appreciate.
Let me tell y'all something Ilove you guys.
I really do.
Um, thank you all, thank you.
It was such a great time.
Um, and let me tell yousomething the trip going there
and coming back, I'm going to bemaking fun of my wife for a
very long time, but not on thisshow.

(02:15):
Not on this show, you know what.
Let me go ahead and announce theother thing.
Actually, it was so productive.
We will be launching anotherpodcast very soon.
It's not going to replace thisone, it will be in addition to
this one and my brother and Iare going to be hosting it.
I can't wait to fullyofficially announce it, but I'm

(02:38):
really excited about planningand getting it all together and
it may even be a video channel, even if we do a VTuber sort of
thing.
I don't know.
I don't know how this is goingto work.
We're just still going to prayabout it, but I can't wait to
get that on the road.
But today, I know we're stillanswering that question and I

(03:05):
really do appreciate yourpatience and how methodically
I'm answering this question, because and that question is
what is believe in the LordJesus Christ?
Really mean so, and the reasonwhy I'm really I'm happy about
your patience in this is becausea lot of times, when we tell
people to believe in the LordJesus Christ, we think it's a

(03:27):
one second thing Do you believein Jesus?
Yes, and then that's it.
But the Bible tells us, if youjust dig a little bit beneath
the surface, that there's awhole different vibe to if I can
use that word in this setting.
It's a whole different mindset.
That's what I'm looking for Awhole different mindset, a whole

(03:48):
different spiritual set, awhole different physical set to
what really means to believe onthe Lord Jesus Christ.
So we're going to pick up atthe Great Commission Now, at the
Great Commission and if you arenot sure what the Great
Commission is, don't worry aboutit, not a lot of people know.

(04:09):
Basically, the Great Commissionis when, after Jesus walked
around with the disciples, afterhe was resurrected, the Great
Commission happened when theywent to what is commonly called
the Mount of Ascension.
Some people say it was theMount of Valor, some people say
it was the Mount of Zion.
Whatever it was, he went to themountain.
He went to the top of themountain right and he went up

(04:37):
there and three of the gospelwriters record the last words of
Jesus right.
And the Great Commission iswhat he told all of the
disciples that was gatheredthere to do.
Three people reported.
Now I want you to look at Luke,chapter 24, 47, matthew 28, 19

(04:57):
to 20, and Mark 16, 15 through18.
Now, before we do that, justkind of get that there while I'm
talking and then we're going togo through it.
Now we have a rule on thispodcast and I know I love saying
the one rule that we have.
It ain't about sharing, itain't about sending JJ money.

(05:18):
This is the rule of thispodcast.
It is read a verse or two abovethe scripture that we're talking
about, a verse or two below thescripture that we're talking
about, but preferably the wholechapter.
Why is that?
And this is right.
Here is where this becomes soimportant.

(05:38):
It's important to read theentire chapter because context
is very key into what theseverses mean and a lot of times
we we run into people and um,I'm not going to say they're
maliciously they we run intopeople who take these scriptures

(05:58):
out of the entire bible andthey build a doctrine around it.
But because they haven't readit in context, they sort of
build the wrong doctrine andthat it sort of starts to
contradict different parts ofthe Bible.
So when you read that script, when you read that set of

(06:20):
scriptures, you got tounderstand that there is
something that Jesus is sayingthere and he's telling all the
disciples and not just those, but all the disciples, of all
the believers that were to comeafter that.
We have a job to do and it'simportant to know what that job
is because this is part ofbelieving in the Lord Jesus

(06:43):
Christ, to know what that job is, because this is part of
believing in the Lord JesusChrist.
Believing in the Lord JesusChrist does not mean that you
get to sit there and be quietwhen people need it.
Now I'm not saying to runaround and bust people in the
head with the Bible whenevermaybe a four-letter word slips
out of their mouth or somethinglike that, but people will,
literally, god will allow anopportunity for you to tell

(07:05):
people about Jesus, and somepeople are church hurt and they
don't want to hear about Jesus, but still that opportunity may
arise and that may be Godreaching out for them one more
time.
So right before this happened, right before he ascended, you
know, he led the disciples toBethany and this was called

(07:26):
Mount Olive, not Mount Zion, notJerusalem, it was called Mount
Olive.
He instructed them to go backto Jerusalem and wait until they
got power from on high.
So then he blessed them andwhile he looked is when he
ascended.
And right after that theylooked.

(07:47):
They were kind of disappointed, they were kind of sad, and the
two angels appeared to him.
Well, the Bible calls it twomen Sometimes the Bible calls it
angels, sometimes they call itmen, but I believe that there
were two men and these are goingto be the two witnesses that we
see in Revelation.

(08:07):
That's just my opinion.
I have something to back thatup, but that's what I think.
The two men that appeared tothe disciples on the Mount
Olivet are going to be the sametwo witnesses in Revelation,
because God generally likescontinuity.
So he said Men of Galilee, whystand ye gazing up into heaven?

(08:31):
This same Jesus, which is takenup for you into heaven, shall
so come in like matter.
And Zechariah, 14 and four andhere's where we got to start
reading this thing in contexttells us that when he comes back
to earth again, he's going tostand on the Mount of Olives, in
other words, mount Olivet goingto stand on the Mount of Olives

(08:52):
, and that's going to be thesame place he was taken up.
So even in the old Testamentthey were telling us where he's
going to come back from, andthis is why he went up from that
same spot.
So I've heard of a legend thatwas told, and I think I heard a

(09:14):
few a little while ago thatJesus, that he's going to return
to his throne in heaven.
And when he arrived.
When he got up there, all theangels rejoiced to see him again
, asked him of his plan andasked him how the redemption
plan was working.
And he told all the angelsabout it.

(09:38):
And the angels asked who godredeemed.
He said well, you know what?
Um, so there was some fishermenguys and there was a tax
collector.
But what if?
What if they failed to give themessage to the whole world?
What would happen?
His answer was I have no otherplan, so, and that's the legend.
So the spreading of the gospelmessage is now up to you and me.

(10:00):
That's part of believing on theLord Jesus Christ.
So, now that the disciples didwhat they were supposed to do,
they went out and they toldeverybody and they delivered the
gospel.
What are we supposed to do withthat?
What about us?
Can God count on us to continuethe great?
They delivered the gospel.
What are we supposed to do withthat?
What about us?
Can God count on us to continuethe great commission, because

(10:21):
this is also a huge part ofbelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ
.
So, in other words, theyliterally went and did exactly
what Jesus told them to do, eventhough at the time it made no
sense.
Yeah, they believed on the LordJesus Christ.
They did not leave thatmountain and start preaching

(10:43):
everywhere.
They went back to Jerusalem andwaited.
None of that makes any sense.
It didn't make sense to us.
It don't make sense to anybodyelse.
It makes sense to us nowbecause we know what happened
later.
Remember, during that momentthey had no idea, but they
believed on the Lord JesusChrist.
He said go and do a thing.

(11:04):
They went and did the thingExactly the way he said to do
the thing, exactly that way.
They didn't mix it up, theydidn't soften it, they didn't
change it, they didn't make itconvenient.
He didn't soften it, theydidn't change it, they didn't
make it convenient.
He said go back to Jerusalemand wait.
They went back to Jerusalem andwaited, right.

(11:26):
So now, the first thing theydid when they got back to the
upper room, when they got backto Jerusalem upper room, when
they got back to Jerusalem, thiswas in Acts, chapter 1, chapter
1, verse 4 through 14.
I'm going to summarize thisbecause we're going to get
somewhere.
We probably won't get theretoday either, but it's

(11:48):
interesting to kind of show what, exactly what believing in the
Lord Jesus Christ is.
Now, this is the only book, thebook of Acts, the only book
that tells us about how thechurch was created, how the
church was founded, how thechurch was formed.
Before that, the word churchwas only used in a sort of a

(12:11):
prophetic sense, like when Jesustold Peter on this rock, I will
build my church.
The church didn't exist yet andafter that and everything else
was letters to the church.
That was formed in acts and inrevelations.
It was in about the judgment orthe assessment of the churches.

(12:32):
Okay, so this is in.
Book of acts is where youunderstand the application of
believe on the lord jesus christ, because this is where the
church was founded.
So we're going to get tosomething very, very important.
Okay, so the first order ofbusiness when they got back to

(12:52):
jerusalem, to Jerusalem, was toselect somebody to replace Judas
Iscariot.
Now, I don't understand why, Ithink I mean I don't know why
they didn't let God do it, butthey kind of did.
So they prayed about it, theyprayed about it and eventually

(13:12):
they ended up choosing Matthias.
Now, this word disciple meanssomeone who learns or follows or
listens to someone's teaching,so that's just anybody who was
listening to Jesus.
Of those disciples, only 12were chosen to be apostles.

(13:38):
Now they were the ones who weresent forth to a special
commission.
And now I sort of understandwhy they went and chose a 12th
person, because they felt as ifJesus chose 12 and they should
all go out with 12.
See, they really, reallybelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ
.
They wanted to do everythingexactly the way Jesus did it,

(14:03):
based on what Jesus said and whyhe said it.
But the first thing they had todo was go back and wait, and
while they waited, they chosethe 12th man.
Why?
Because Jesus told 12, Ibelieve on him and he did it
this way, so I also am going todo it this way on him, and he

(14:24):
did it this way, so I also amgoing to do it this way.
All right, so they went upthere and it was between seven
to ten days, um, and they had abunch of other believers there
and they prayed and they prayed, they prayed, and we went from
12 to about 120 people.
I like to think that it wasprobably a little bit more than
120 people, but only 120 peopleSurvived the seven days.

(14:47):
As far as the waiting isconcerned, and the reason why
that is Because a lot of times,a lot of people want something
Fresh off the press.
Fresh off the press, but nostaying power.
Now I'm not going to preachhere, but I believe that there
were more people there, but theysort of all faded off.

(15:09):
Day two, day three I gotsomething I got to do and now
you're at the day seven, dayeight, and then you got 120
people left and then the HolyGhost left.
Now this descent of the HolyGhost is only described for the
first time in Acts, chapter 2.

(15:31):
Now you got to read Acts 2, 1through 4.
We're still talking about whatbelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ
, believe in.
Now remember this was not justthe 12 apostles who received
this experience, and I've heardit taught this way.
Only the 12 apostles got theHoly Ghost.
No, no, no, no, no, no.

(15:52):
Everybody who was in that upperroom was the whole 120,
including the Mother of Jesus, mary, everybody.
She needed the Holy Ghost too,and if she needed, we needed.
They all stayed there and theyprayed seven days, seven to ten

(16:14):
days.
I know some people like to say,oh, they fasted.
I'm not going to go that far, because the Bible doesn't say
that.
They stayed there and theyprayed and they prayed and they
prayed, and they prayed forseven to ten days.
And how it reasons them.
When the day of Pentecost wasfully come, they were all in one

(16:36):
court, in one place.
What does that really mean?
So these, remember these 120people are sitting around
waiting for this power thatwould empower them, enable them
to preach and be witnesses tothe Lord In Jerusalem, in Judea,
in Mary and the uttermost partsof the earth.
See, jesus knew right away thathis church needed more than

(16:57):
just enthusiasm.
They need more than energy, even like in the military, that
there would be military, therewould be preachers, there'd be
civil things and there'd besocial things that would come
against them.
What they needed was power toovercome those things.

(17:19):
And suddenly there was a sound.
It was a deep, strange sound.
That sort of filled the roomall at once.
Um, and it was a stillness.
And then it was the rushingmighty wind.
Now this is where we talk about.
It filled all the house thatthey were sitting.
It really filled the house.

(17:41):
It had the beauty gripped.
There was 120 people in theroom and they were just in the
upper room, but it filled theentire house.
Now, these disciples were onlyreally just starting to
understand what was happeninghere.
And then, all of a sudden, before they could even get their
minds around what had happened, something happened inside.

(18:01):
And then, all of a sudden, before they could even get their
minds around what had happened, something happened inside.
Remember, they're stillbelieving on the Lord Jesus
Christ, because then theystarted speaking in tongues.
They remembered the words ofJesus I shall be in you.
This Holy One Is not contentJust to you know, occupy you,

(18:21):
know in you.
This Holy One is not contentjust to occupy the cognizant
forces of your brain.
We're talking about taking over, taking control of your spirit,
your mental faculties, yourvocal organs and your body.
It's just an amazing experienceand so, because of that, your

(18:44):
spirit begins to praise God.
You want to know what speakingin tongues is about.
This is praising God.
This is still believing on theLord Jesus Christ.
Now, the reason why this isimportant and I'm just going to
stop pause here and it'sprobably going to take us to the
end of the episode, but westill got to talk about

(19:06):
demonstration of divine powerand all that stuff but the
reason why this is important isto understand that this is a
part of belief on the Lord JesusChrist.
It's because so many peoplehave separated this, so many
people have separated us, somany people have separated the
idea that you can believe on theLord Jesus Christ or you can

(19:27):
speak in tongues, and notunderstanding that it takes one
to do the other.
You've got to believe on theLord Jesus Christ to speak in
tongues, because that's how ithappened in the book of Acts
Speak in tongues.
That's how it happened in thebook of Acts and each and every
time and we will go down throughthe book of Acts to explain, to

(19:48):
point out, every time theybelieve on the Lord Jesus Christ
, they start speaking in tongues.
Now, the other side of it isthat people say, well, just
speak in tongues, just hook upmy side, tie my tie, buy a
Hyundai that is not speaking intongues, and once you've gotten
the real experience, once you'vegotten it, you will instantly

(20:10):
tell when somebody's faking it,and it will almost sound.
I'm trying to figure out how toexplain this in a way that
makes sense.
It would almost sound like you.
Okay, let's put it like thisyou know how a person that's a

(20:32):
doctor can tell when somebody'sfaking being a doctor.
Or a person who's a lawyer cantell who's being a jailhouse
lawyer or someone in themilitary can tell when somebody
hasn't been in the military andit's not really something they
can put their hands on, notreally something they can put
their finger on, but they canjust tell immediately.

(20:56):
Somebody who talks a big gameabout being able to fight, but
you know something about thatperson that they're not built
like that.
You know they can't fight.
You know they've never had afight a day in their life.
They've been able to talk theirway out of it a lot of times
but they've never been able tofight.

(21:17):
Somebody who you know how toride a motorcycle and if
somebody comes up and sayssomething to you about riding
and they try to portraythemselves being motorcycle
riders, but then you can tellthem immediately that they're
not.
This is what when somebody hasgotten a holy, a real deal

(21:39):
genuine spirit of god inside ofyou and somebody make this is
what we feel.
We can hear it.
It's like I mean people saythey like to use that word
discernment Like a $4 word.
That means nothing nowadaysBecause people just use it,
throw it around, but it'sliterally something that you can

(22:03):
literally feel when somebodyfakes it, and sometimes people
don't even know that they'refaking it.
And sometimes people don't evenknow that they're faking it,
and that's the crazy part, because they don't really
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
They believe that they can talkthe tongue on Sunday and Sunday
morning and live like the devilSunday afternoon, but you can't

(22:23):
do it.
It won't let you.
It won't let you.
You will have a fight on yourhand.
And I'm telling you this becauseeven when I got the holy ghost,
I tried to go out and be thesame person I was before, and it
begins to drive you indifferent directions and, um,

(22:44):
and it's subtle at first, like, like, I think the first thing I
noticed three weeks later isthat I wasn't cursing and that
was just the beginning.
And your experience is going tobe a little bit different,
because everyone's experience isgoing to be a little bit
different, because God knows howdifferent you are from your

(23:06):
brother or your sister sittingnext to you.
You're different from your wife, you're different from your
kids, you're different from yourparents, but the end result is
the same that Holy Spirit ifit's really the Holy Spirit,
because you really believe inthe Lord Jesus Christ is going

(23:26):
to drive you into a new truth, into the truth, not the new
truth.
Let me get rid of that.
It's going to drive you intothe truth, the actual truth, the
whole truth.
Actually, it is going to exposeyou to some things that you're
not really going to.

(23:47):
If're not really going to ifyou've been going to churches
for a while and you've beenlooking around, it is going to
give you some cold realities andI hate to say it like it's
going to give you some coldrealities that you're going to
be like man.
I had no idea.
But now, because you really, really believe in the Lord Jesus

(24:11):
Christ and not just saying itwith your mouth, you really mean
it with your heart, things aregoing to start opening up and
I'm getting ahead of myself.
I'm getting ahead of myself.
But this is what happened.
They were all in that room, they were all believing in the
Lord Jesus Christ and theystarted speaking in tongues.
The spirit of God came in thereand we're going to end it here,

(24:35):
because after, after that,we're going to talk more about
what believing in the Lord JesusChrist does, even after you get
to know him, even after, andhow you begin to become a
different person.
Right, we have an amazing timeand I really do appreciate it.

(24:57):
I love each and every one of youand sometimes I just want to
make sure.
I just want to make sure thatyou guys, I'm not going too slow
, I'm not going into too muchdetail.
Sometimes I feel like I mightbe boring you guys, but I just
want to make sure that I don'tskip anything.
Sometimes I may double back onsome stuff, but I want to make

(25:19):
sure this book of Acts is reallythe definition of belief on the
Lord, jesus Christ.
We're going to talk about somethings next and, hey, I really
think please understand y'all, this is all about somebody
asking a question.
So please understand, I lovequestions, I love comments.

(25:40):
If you're on the YouTube channel, leave a comment.
If you have a question, leave aquestion.
If you're on Facebook oranything like that, I would
probably be getting a TikTokpage.
I'm not crushing TikTok, butleave a comment, leave a
question.
If I can find it, if I see it,I'll try to answer it.

(26:03):
If there's something like aquestion like this that seems
like an in-depth question, Iwill make episodes on it.
I love each and every one ofyou.
I'm here for you guys and I'mhere because God told me to be
here.
All right, somebody out thereGod is sending this to, so I
love each and every one of you.
Thank you all for joining thepodcast today.

(26:25):
Thank you for spending a momentwith us.
If you're listening to anyother podcast, go out there and
tell somebody that God lovesthem.
Tell them that you love them.
That'll probably be the onlypositive thing they hear.
Today.
We're going into a very darkand depressing time in human
history, so tell somebody thatGod loves them.

(26:45):
Alright, talk to you soon.
Love y'all.
