Für unsere Jubiläumsfolge haben wir für Euch einen hochkarätigen Oldschool-Diamanten ausgegraben. Bereits Mitte der 80er Jahre war King Katmando fester Bestandteil einer Pioniergeneration des deutschen Stylewritings. Neben Loomit, Don M. Zaza, Cemnoz, Mitch und anderen Ausnahmeartists prägte er die Münchener Graffiti Szene, die Katmando gerne auch als Wiege der europäischen Graffiti Kultur bezeichnet. Als „Jack of All Trades“ war Prince K. nicht nur im Writing aktiv, sondern auch in der Speerspitze der jungen Hip Hop Bewegung. Seine Reisen führten ihn in die europäischen Hotspots wie Paris, wo er die NTM Crew und DJ Dee Nasty kennenlernte und in das Vorwende-Berlin, wo er mit der ersten Generation der Berliner Writer wie KANE, KAOS oder AMOK noch jungfräuliche Mauern vorfand. Im Interview mit Crow beleuchtet Katmando nicht nur die Gründung des JUICE Magazins, warum er den Begriff Deutschrap erfunden hat, sondern auch warum er als Consultant die erste Kollektion von Adidas Originals mitgeprägt hat.
