(00:00):
What's up everybody? Hey, friends, we are live. It feels good
to be live too. I knowit's been over a week and a half
since we were live last and Idon't know, I feel like I've missed
you people. I've missed all ourfriends, all of our wonderful RV nerds.
Our r V nerds, yes,our r it's a technical term.
(00:20):
You're our RV nerds or you're hereto hang out with us, all of
our RV friends. We missed you. Oh Hannah, I'm so sorry.
You've been in and out of thehospital too. That's that sucks. Hopefully
you're on the mind as well andfeeling better. But hey, Steve,
what's going on, man? Hey, can'stire? What's going on? Man?
No, we do not have aJacob fifth will? We have a
Sandpiper fifth will? How are wintersin that? Well? We try to
(00:44):
target we avoid it. We targetvery soft winters, so we like to
be in Florida a lot during thewintertime. We do go back to Texas
for the holidays, and Texas doesget colder than Florida, so we do
have to put up with a littlebit. And like last year, I
mean, we were down in thenegative of fahrenheit in Texas of all places
like that, Yeah, which isreally weird. It was it was unseasonably
(01:04):
cold when we were there during Christmas, and I think it got down to
like negative two. Yeah, notnot fun at all. Thankfully during that
time it didn't really snow, whichwas good. But yeah, there's there's
different ways that you can prepare forwinter in an RV, Like you can
winter rise the RV for staying init, for sure. Yeah, and
(01:26):
I would highly recommend doing that ifyou're planning on doing any winter camping.
But yeah, we generally try totarget warmer temperatures. Slow slow. I
still get lightheaded when I stand uptoo fast, so I forget. Then
I get lightheaded. I'm gonna geta refill and then we can start.
Yeah, So there's a she legitgot up earlier this week, Monday or
(01:48):
Tuesday. She like I was doingsomething I don't even remember. I was
just sitting right here. She standsup and like I'm looking down at either
my computer or my phone I don'tremember, and all all I kind of
hear is like carf and she justsprawled out on the floor, went straight
up and straight back down. It'sone of those things where you're like,
man, I wish we just hada camera doing it all the time.
(02:19):
Welcome to the Wandering, our Vshow, your source for our stories,
our screw up and our success isliving the full time RV life. I'm
your host, Kara the Wandering, our v Bait, and this is my
driver Ryan. Yo Yo, We'reback. We're back. We're back.
It's been it feels like it's beenforever since we've been doing anything to do
with the to the channel or ourpodcast or anything like that. So we're
(02:39):
just had to take some time off. We had to take some time off,
and we're are we talking about allthat today? First, we're gonna
talk about what do two er visits, ten staples in the head, of
course, an ambulance ride and afour day hospital stay have in common?
Are week last week? Are week? Last week? Yeah? Yeah?
This episode really is all about ourcrazy week, how we navigated through those
(03:01):
medical emergencies, and how we didit while doing our V life full time.
So as a quick reminder for ourlive audience, definitely joined the conversation.
If your conversation in your in yourcomments are on topic with what we're
talking about We're definitely going to chimein. We're definitely going to give you
a shout out. If you havea general question about like just us or
(03:23):
our v life in general, stickaround. We will answer those questions at
the end. So, and ifyou have a topic that you would like
us to cover or something that youwant us to talk about in depth,
let us know, give us afollow, give us a comment, give
us a message, and we willweave that into the agenda for our next
(03:44):
Stored upcoming show. Absolutely. Well, first, what are we drinking Tonight's
Sweetheart? Well, I'm I'm havingsome hot coco because it's been a rough
week and I wanted a little bitof a treat and right now I cannot
have any any adulty beverages. Soa Coco night is what it is for
me. What are you drinking?I am drinking a poured, not shaking
(04:09):
or stirred dirty vodka martini. Theseare like two polar opposite drinks. Yeah,
your's a sweet Mine is not.Mine is hot, yours is cold.
It's it's like very it's yeah. But man, is it good to
be home? Oh my gosh, yes it is. It is so good
to be home to our little homeon wheels. We add a really crazy
(04:31):
week last week, and thank youguys for just one bearing with us because
we did. We missed a coupleof posts. We were kind of pretty
m ia on social media for afew days, and then when we did
give you an update, we justhad this outpouring of support and you know,
just well wishes and things like that. So we really appreciate that each
(04:51):
and every single one of you forsending us those well wishes. But we
wanted to follow that back up andtell you the entire story of what happened
because it was freaky and weird andwe do not a lottery. Yeah,
we do need to play the lottery. It's no, it's not something I
would have ever thought would have happened, but it did so. First and
(05:13):
foremost, what started as a typicalMonday ended with our first trip to the
er for the week. So I'mgonna let you like kick start this conversation
because it was it was really allabout the driver Ryan on Monday. Well,
so what happened was what happened wasyou were filming a video and I
(05:38):
wanted to. I tried to everyonce in a while just be in the
background kind of splash a little bitof you know, extra humor into the
background, and he likes to annoyme just to see if it'll make the
cut. That's what he was doingexactly. Yeah, that's exactly what it
was. So you were filming yourvideo and I was trying to wait till
you got a good angle. ButI had some errands to run. So
(05:58):
I was like, okay, likewhen is you're gonna like have a good
angle. And so finally you kindof settled on this angle and I was
seeing about it. I was like, I was like, well, i
gotta run air. And so Iwas like, I'm gonna I'm gonna run
up Tourna and be like I'm leavingyou for another woman and then run off
towards the truck and and and beall funny or so I thought, yeah,
I mean that's what you can't for, threatening to leave me for another
woman. Yeah. So my path, based off of where your camera was,
(06:25):
had me running under the front noseof the fifth wheel. So I
ducked down like you know you dobecause a that's low and there's a hitch
there, So I ducked down andnaturally I can't see over the bill of
my hat at the time, andI just start running. And then I
stopped running and just found myself teeteringback, went down to the ground.
(06:48):
I had the fourth thought to likeling forward, get on. I wasn't
on the ground like I didn't fallper se on the ground like I got
onto the ground because I started tosee blood running down my face, and
as the person who does the laundryin the family, I didn't want any
blood to get on my shirt. So I leaned down, got on all
four so the blood would kind ofdrip away from my clothing. And then
(07:12):
I looked into my hat and sawthings in it that kind of freaked me
out there for a second. Iliterally thought I'd maybe just like cracked my
skull and like this was the end. So as my entire la life is
flashing fo my eyes, even thoughI was at the forethought to bleed forward
so I didn't get any on myclothes, and I had and I was
(07:35):
like having this conscious thought. Ijust literally was like, oh, this
is it, this is how, this is how I die. Well,
so so I heard it, andy'all, I mean it was like this
thought and I was like, whatthe hell, like what happened there?
And so I turned around and justsee him on all fours and see him
(07:56):
take his hat off. Of course, then I see the wound, and
I think I like audibly said likeoh shit. And so I immediately ran
over to him, told him we'regoing to the ear. And I went
in and got like a just awet towel so that we could you get
the bleeding under control, got himin the truck, and we drove to
(08:16):
the ar. Now, thankfully, the the it was like a pop up
ar, so it wasn't attached toa hospital or anything. Was kind of
a standalone and at first they werelike, whoa, we don't know if
we can treat him here, Andso the doctor actually had to like kind
of triage him first and was like, yeah, yeah we can. We
can treat him here. But Ihad to make sure that there wasn't any
signs of like actual school damage. There were no concussions or anything like that.
(08:39):
So he wasn't concussion watch for aboutforty eight hours after that though,
So concussion watch, Yeah, Iwas feeling perfectly fine. Yeah, I
literally I actually I told him,I was like, honestly, this doesn't
hurt as bad as my neck doesfrom like the whiplash of like hitting it
stopping and like bounce literally bouncing offof a metal object. Oh yeah,
(09:00):
yeah yeah. What was funny though, was like he had the er staff
just cutting up the entire time. So, like you'll notice that about us,
we're like, even in the craziestsituations, we find the funny things,
we find the silver lining, soto speak. And so like he
had the er staff cutting up thewhole time and laughing the whole time.
And it was actually it actually workedout really really well. They got it
(09:20):
cleaned up. He had ten staplesin his head coming out of that,
and he's got some antibiotic ointment thatwe you know, we put on it
just to make sure it's healing up. Okay, but you know it was
it was really nice. The nursepractitioner, she was doing the staples and
one of them did not like goin all the way, so she had
to so she had to use thestaple puller to get it back out.
(09:43):
And she was like, well, when once I opened this, I can't
use it again. So she waslike, here, you guys, go,
I didn't give you this. Thisis how you can pull the staples
out so you don't have to comeback and see us, but feel free
too, because well we'd be morethan glad to know. And so it
was really kind of funny because shewas she was kind of like, I'm
not giving you this to take thestaples out next week. Yeah, well
(10:09):
it was funny too, was like, you know, they asked, you
know, what we were doing andeverything, and so we told him,
you know, we we live fulltime in RV, we travel full time,
that kind of thing, and sowe had a really good conversation about
it. But you know, shewas like, well, you know,
if you're not here next week oryou know, something like that, then
like that way you at least haveit as a backup. But yeah,
no, it was it was prettyfunny. So we pulled We pulled out
(10:31):
eight of the staples, but there'stwo kind of right where the impact was
that it's not it's not quite ready. It's not quite ready. So we
got two more to pool probably inthe next couple of days, maybe early
part of next week. But uhyeah, it's it is healing, it's
doing much better. It looks tremendous, it looks like it's supposed to look.
No necrotic tissue or anything like that, because it was it was a
(10:54):
flap. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was. He like tried to
up his whole head off. Youknow, I gotta you gotta try.
You get listen. When I dothings, I do it to the fullest
extent of my abilities. I meanthat is that is very true. But
I will say, next time youdecide to pick a fight with the Kingpin,
(11:15):
maybe don't do it with your head. Do it with my fist.
And said, I don't. Idon't know, I mean mortal. I
feel like that would be more likelyto break bones. I feel like the
skull is, like I've proven atthis point, my skull is as solid
as steel. I mean, Ialways know you had a hard head,
so now the rest of the worlddoes too. Uh So, just when
(11:41):
we had enough excitement from the weekand we thought things were like kind of
kind of dying down, I starteda new medication on Wednesday. It was
fine, I was feeling fine.Started a new medication, and I,
I guess I took the first dosein the afternoon, Yeah, somewhere around
(12:03):
like three three thirty because I wasout running errands. I came back with
the with it. You took it. We went to the pool, hung
out at the pool. Yeah, perfectly fine. Yeah, like everything was
fine. I felt fine, wewere doing everything was good, and then
all of a sudden, we like, so we decided to come back to
the camper and have leftovers for dinner, and so like as we're coming back
(12:24):
to the camper, I start likecoughing and and I have asthma. So
like, I'm I'm used to anasthma attack. I know how that feels.
It's it was really really bad whenI was a kid and when I
was in high school, but likeas an adult, I've been able to
manage it really really well. Andso I was like, okay, there's
there's something going on. Maybe youknow, maybe there's an allergen or something
(12:45):
in the air. So it tookmy rescue and Hailer didn't get any relief.
Then I was like, okay, well let me take a nebulizer treatment.
So I did that. Still didn'treally get a lot of relief.
And so, you know, bythat point, he had heated up leftovers
and we were, you know,we were eating leftovers, and then all
of a sudden, it was justlike that I just felt really really bad.
(13:07):
And I couldn't really describe it.I just didn't feel good. And
he jumps up and he goes,we're going to the ear and I was
like, no, we're fine,it's fine, it's fine. And I
was like really really tired, andI was like, but no, I
don't need to go to the AR. I just need to go to sleep.
I just need to go to sleep. I don't feel good, like
it'll be fine, and so he'slike, no, no, we're going
(13:28):
to Her skin was turning translucent, and this is something I've I've seen happen
before. They're usually when her asthmais like really really bad, and so
like her skin like you'll you'll lookat it, you see warmth right now,
it looked cool. It looked likethere was not enough oxygen getting everywhere,
or as we found out later, not enough oxygen getting out. Yeah
(13:52):
oo two getting out whatever, however, all that works, what science science?
And so I was like no,no, no, we're going to
the are we're out kind of we'renot near town or anything like that.
So I was like, I'm justgonna drive. You don't want to call
an ambulance. I want to payfor an ambulance. Especially, and so
like we're going down the road,I'm speeding through, trying to get us
to the hospital as quickly as possible. Naturally, I wasn't completely following the
(14:16):
speed limit. You weren't completely followingthe speed limit? Yeah, I wasn't.
I wasn't completely following the speed limit. And so a cop, you
know, it ends up like flashinghis sirens at us, and I was
like, part of me, Imean, we were literally three miles from
the hospital we were going to goto, and part of me was like,
no, no, no, I'lljust keep on going. We're almost
there. It's fine, it's notgonna be a big deal. And then
(14:39):
I was like, no, I'mnot doing that. So I pulled over,
came up to the door, Itold him what was going on.
He looked at her. He waslike okay, yeah, yeah, And
I was like, okay, we'rejust three miles from the hospital. Can
we just keep on going. He'slike no, He's like no, we
need to call EMS. It's like, unfortunately, now that I've seen it,
now that like all I have allthis information, legally we have to
call EMSs. So he calls theambulance ambulance. It's like five minutes to
(15:01):
get there, which again five minutesin the In this it was the scary.
It was the longest five minutes Ithink of your life. Is.
So the ambulance picks her up andwe're talking, we're talking to MS and
EMS is like, no, no, no, that don't go to that
hospital. You need to go tothis hospital. It's another ten minutes down
the road. We will keep herstable in the ambulance, it'll be fine.
And so we go to another hospitalthat's about ten more ten twelve miles
(15:24):
down the road, which in theareas like ends up being like fifteen twenty
minutes, so it was still quitea bit but they were keeping her stable.
Yeah I was. I was ingood hands for sure, but yeah,
no, it's Robert said, like, that's so scary. It was.
It was terrifying. The hard parttwo was by that point I was
I was not really able to stayawake, so I was kind of in
(15:46):
and out of consciousness. And whenI was awake, I was it was
real. I was really confused,so I wasn't making a ton of sense.
They were. They kept trying toask me questions. I couldn't answer
their questions. I don't even reallyremember anything beyond the cop pulling him over,
but we found out later what endedup happening was I came into the
(16:10):
er I had lactic acidosis, whichmeans like my blood stream had just like
tons of lactic acid in it,which is from not being able to get
all the CEO two out and everythingwells in the trauma of like what the
reaction was. I definitely had fluidin my lungs, high high heart rate,
my BP bottomed out, so mymy blood pressure bottomed out, and
(16:34):
I had a really really high fever. So all of those things combined,
I was I was in pretty badshape. And all of that happened.
From the time that I just likestarted coughing to the time that that transpired
was like less than an hour,so it was really really scary. What
ended up happening there was they admittedme stayed four days in the hospital.
(16:59):
The because my lungs are already kindof compromised with the asthma, the fluid
and my lungs turned into pneumonium,so that's what kept me in the hospital.
But essentially what it was was anallergic reaction to that new medication that
I took on Wednesday, and itjust, you know, instead of anaphylactic
shock, which is what you wouldtypically think of, or a rash or
something like that, which is whatyou would typically think of for an allergic
(17:22):
reaction, that's what it ended upbeing. And so no, really what
it ended up being is I wasgetting too much attention from the head wound,
and you just you just had tomake sure that the attention was all
back on you. Hey, Nick, thanks for the Hey Nick, the
dinosaurs dinosaur. I think that's adinosaurs like a dinosaur. We're gonna call
(17:45):
that a dinasaur. Thanks for thedinosaur, Nick. But yeah, no,
it was. Yeah, it wasthe craziest thing. And you know,
the course, they ran the gamutof tests, which you know,
good to know I still have areally strong heart. Yeah, because of
the symptoms, they really wanted tomake sure that everything was good with the
heart. So we now know, within pretty much a shadow of a doubt
(18:07):
that her heart is healthy for themoment, rock solid. The lungs not
so much, but the heart isgood. So yeah, so that's that's
really all it is. And becauseof all of the complications from that allergic
reaction, every time I stand upnow, my heart rate will jump and
I get kind of lightheaded, sothat's why I have to be really careful.
(18:29):
But yeah, it was. Itwas an ordeal for sure. The
hospital did a great job. Theytook great care of me. But yeah,
I was in there for four daysand then have just been kind of
recovering at home at our little homeon wheels since then. It's it's so
nice, Like it was good tohave like them monitoring, like she was
on the vitals the entire time,so I didn't want her to come home
too early, just because a likeI was pretty weak, like the first
(18:55):
twenty four hours, I really couldn'tlike I couldn't sit up. Yeah,
it was. It was pretty Itwas pretty scary, and so I that
was nice having her on the vitalsso that way we knew like what her
heart was doing. And you know, obviously we've got Apple watches, which
helps, but it's not like superspecific, it's not as good as actual
telemetry. So it was good tohave that, and it was good just
(19:18):
helping her out because like she was, she really truly was not stable enough
to walk on a flat surface fromthe bed to the bathroom, and I
was like we have stairs in theRV small hallway, so it's not like
I can get like right next toher. I kind of have to get
behind her and like support her.And so I really wanted to, you
know, I was very glad thatshe was in at least as long as
(19:38):
she was to where she was stableenough to walk on her own. Yes,
Bertie, it is a very comfortableplace to recover. And he is
such a sweetheart. He was likeso sweet. The nurses were all like,
oh, where's your husband because he'sso sweet. Yeah, he won
everybody over, which was really reallynice. And yeah, I'm totally lucky
to have him to help take careof me and make sure that I'm all
(20:02):
good. I just have to rightright now today, as of today,
the biggest thing is I just haveto remind her to go slowly because she'll
she might stand up too quickly.Or I think it was last night.
You were like puttering through and youlike came whizzing by, and I was
like, slow down, baby, and you did, and you were kind
of like stopped and like paused fora second. I was like, uh
huh, Yeah, you move tooquickly, You're gonna you're you're gonna end
(20:22):
up in pain. Yeah, yeah, So I just have to move really
slow and just have to take everythingreally slow. Like I tried to get
up and kind of putter around earlierthis morning too, and it just like
wiped me out. So I justhave to like remember, I can't like
just bounce right back. She wasn'tshe wasn't happy with how well I was
keeping the RV clean, so shedecided to take it upon herself. I
(20:47):
did, I did. I know, Scottish Nana is like telling saying the
same thing. She's like, goslow. I know, I know,
I have to remember to do that, but you know, it's it's interesting.
So I'm glad that we're recovering. We're both recovering it home on wheels
again. But you know, doingthis and having these two crazy freak accidents
(21:07):
happen all in the same week washard enough as it was, but doing
it with RV life when we're noteven close to family and friends right now
was definitely a challenge. For sure. Doing this life in the in an
RV can definitely make complications, andI think like this was like perfect evidence
(21:27):
we I didn't know what are closet. I didn't do my I make this
recommendation, everybody knows the closest hospital, look at reviews, make sure that
you know where you're gonna go ifsomething's going to happen. I didn't do
that in advance, so luckily whenI hit my head, it was a
little bit calmer. We had alittle bit of time. We're going to
(21:47):
an urgent care, not an erhospital, so like, but we looked
at the reviews and things were like, we had a moment to do that
when she was when she was sick. Unfortunately, there was no time to
look up a hospital in that moment, and so I literally just typed to
my map er, clicked on thefirst one and started driving. And literally
(22:08):
after the cops pulled me over andthe MS was like where do you want
to go? And I told themwhere I was planning on going. They're
like, they're like, no,no, that's that's they They'll probably end
up sending you to this hospital. You should go here. So I was
like, okay, cool, let'sgo there then. So that's why I
normally do it. And this wason me. I feel I feel bad,
(22:30):
I'm not great about it, butthat's why I say, really,
keep know your location know where yourclosest hospital is, do the do the
like, read the reviews in advance, so that way you know if the
hospital you're going to is going tobe a good hospital to go to,
because they're not all the same obviously, if it's the only one in the
area, then it's the only onein the area. But it's good to
(22:52):
at least know what you're stepping into, so that way, if it's a
bad hospital, you can kind offigure it out. That's really important too,
is know the address that you're stayingat and know the closest pharmacy that
you want to pick up prescriptions from. Because they ask us multiple times,
where are you staying, you know, because we told them what was going
(23:12):
on, We told them what ourlifestyle was. Obviously our our actual address
is almost a thousand miles away fromhere, and so you know, they
we obviously had to give them alocal address and hit him. Knowing the
address of where we're staying at wasreally really crucial, as well as knowing
the local pharmacy. So that waymade it just much more seamless when I
(23:34):
got discharged for us to just gopick up the medicine and then go to
the RV and not have to tryto figure out all of that. Yeah,
I see, that's I don't knowknowing. I always recommend knowing your
zip code where you're at, butno, if it's best you can we
we always recommend putting like a stickynote by your door with the art with
(23:55):
the campgrounds address, county information.Yea, all that's I end up memorizing
our address, usually within a weekof being there, just because that's kind
of what yes, uh Bree says. I usually have my address written on
a chalkboard in our RV. Thatis a great idea. That is so
good. I end up memorizing ouraddress, which doesn't do her a whole
(24:15):
lot of good if I'm ember theone who's unconscious. But you know,
I always keep the packet that theygive you when you first check in really
handy. Oh yes, so likeI'll put it on the on the fridge
or I'll leave it on my deskor something like that, so I have
it. But yeah, that's agreat idea to use that chalkboard. How's
of musher? You know, it'ssurprisingly enough I did. I did get
(24:38):
some bruises from where the ivy wasand where the where the blood tests were
but surprisingly enough I did not bruiseup bad, so that was a really
really good thing. But just Rowhas another recommendation, which is let your
family know what your itinerary is,and that is a great thing. Yeah,
I you know, I have twosisters and both of my parents are
(25:00):
living your mom and your brother,Like, that's really great to just let
them know what campgrounds are gonna beat, where you're gonna be, how
long you're gonna be there. It'sreally really helpful. Just if something happens
they haven't heard from me in alittle while, like they can call the
campground and be like, hey,can you check on them? And it's
(25:21):
really really it was funny actually justrecently it came up like normally like we
kind of give my parents our itineryand there they kind of give us their
itinery and we had to change oursbecause of her foot earlier from earlier this
year, and so we ended upcrossing through and we were and they told
(25:41):
me where they were and where theywere going, and so I kind of
had like a concept of where theymight be stopping because I knew they were
doing it over two days and Iwas like, we're stopping here. I
wonder if they're gonna be like howclose it. So I We're literally on
the road driving to our campground andI call up my mom and I know
they're having a travel day two andI'm like, hey, where are you
(26:03):
guys stopping tonight? Yeah, we'vefigured out we were only with like thirty
minutes apart. So on that trip, we were like, do you want
to have dinner? So they werecool, we were staying for the whole
week. They were only staying therefor a night. But because I knew
where they're coming from and where theywere going, I was like, this
is a nice good midway point andwe're literally they're coming straight down, we're
crossing at an angle. I waslike, I bet we're going to be
(26:23):
in the same area. Yeah.Yeah, that's a great suggestion. Breez
so Brie also suggests using the locationfinder on your phone and sharing that with
your family. So, like,I know, Apple has the fine my
where you can share that with yourfamily. We have that set up as
well, so like his parents,my parents and his sisters know how to
(26:45):
find us, Like they can actuallysee where we're at at any given point,
which is always a good thing. So I think now's time for our
pick of the week, which isvery very on point for the topic today.
Yeah. So our pick of theweek is a pet monitoring service.
Yeah. Yeah, so, youknow, just along with the other advice,
(27:07):
a lot of people just ask usin general, like what do you
do with your dog when you're outand about? And in this case,
going back and forth to the hospitalevery day. It gave us a lot
of good peace of mind that shewas okay, she was comfortable, she
was cared for, while you know, we had to be preoccupied at the
hospital. And as Ryan mentioned earlier, the hospital was a little ways away
(27:30):
from the campers, so it wasn'tlike he could just get back there in
a moment's notice. We use marcelby Life Source. It's a device that
monitors the both the power as wellas the temperature inside the RV and so
it'll send us a text message ifthe power goes out, and it'll also
send us a text message if thetemperature range gets outside of a comfortable range
(27:53):
that we set ourselves in the app. Yeah, it can also do a
humidity as well. I have akind of a light range for the humidity.
I've only ever seen it like reallypop out of it when we've been
traveling down the road for like eightor nine hours, not eight or nine
hours, six or seven hours inthe heat, and that's when the humidity,
like the temperature WIV already gotten there, but then the humidity will start
(28:15):
to catch up and you're like,oh, yeah, it's it's got pretty
humid in there. And that's it'sso nice to have. And it all
runs off of cellular. You canget it with either an eighteen T or
a Verizon, but you're you're notYou're not setting up a plan with Verizon
or a teen T. You paythem, Like the subscription costs is like
(28:36):
it's like less than two coffee housecoffees a month. I mean, it's
very very cheap. Yeah, Andthat basically, it's constantly connected, it's
constantly pinging, it's refreshing. Itcommunicates when it loses electricy as a built
in battery, so it sends thatcommunication. When the electricy comes back off,
it sends that communication as it's monitoringthe temperature. If it gets out
(28:56):
of the range, it sends thatcommunication off. And then you you can
have a text you I think youcan have an email, you I don't
remember if you're gonna have a callyou or not, but I definitely know
you can have a text or emailyou and you set all the rangers yourself,
so you get to decide, likemy dog is comfortable in the RV
up to X number degrees and thenI like to set it a little bit
below. Yes, Marcel M AR C C E L L. Yeah,
(29:19):

I liked was it was the rightprice, it was the right features for
(30:02):
what we were looking for. Ithas some extensibility. You can get extra
devices that help monitor for like awater leak or anything like that. So
it's it's really a great one.And yes, go get that discount.
It's on our website. Check itout. It's awesome. Yeah. So
it's beacons dot ai slash Wandering rVbabe. It's b E A c O

E A c O ns dot aislash Wandering our vbab And we'll see you
next time. By guys. Bye. I think we are ready for some
some chat questions. So now isthe session during the RV Show are wandering
(31:11):
RV Show? I said that totallywrong but now at the time during the
show where it's just a free forall. If you have questions about us,
if you have questions about our Vlife, we are here for you.
We're here to answer any and allquestions that you have and just chat
with you. Guys were We're happyto be back home and hopefully this is
(31:32):
a crazy story that we won't haveagain, because RV life is not generally
this exciting, but sometimes it is. Aaron asked where we at tonight.
We're in Florida, hanging out inFlorida. That was the other nice thing
too, is like, even thoughall this crazy stuff happened, we did
not have a ton of plans,so we were still hanging out here and
(31:55):
didn't have any travel plans or anythinglike that, so we really have an
opportunity to just kind of recover. But yeah, we're gonna be here for
a little bit. And the placethat we're at has like really really great
amenities, and so we kind ofdon't even have to leave the campground because
it's just like a really really niceplace to be. How often do you
stay in one spot? It variesbrief, so generally we like to try
(32:20):
to take advantage of weekly and monthlyrates when we can because they're way,
way cheaper, and so usually wetry to target about a month if we
can, sometimes three weeks, sometimessix weeks, but generally we try to
target about a month, and thatdoes a couple different things for us.
Besides being cheaper, It allows usto really like get to know the area,
(32:45):
so we kind of get past allthe tourist traps and we can kind
of get in and kind of getto know some of the places where the
locals go. We also work duringthe week, and so we're limited on
how much we can explore how manyyou know, all the time that we
have to go see things. Soby stint extending our stay, we're really
really able to just kind of getto know the area. Yeah, I
(33:05):
think so our first year we dida lot of like two weeks stays here
and there, and then we stayedat a couple of places for a little
while, especially during the winter, and then we did more two weeks days,
and so we kind of we startedwe started off targeting two weeks because
there are some campgrounds that don't don'tnecessarily want you to stay a month,
and so we kind of we kindof started off that way, and then
(33:30):
this past year we tried to.This past year, we were at a
bunch of monthly spots for like themajority of the year, and then for
like three solid months it was likebetween one and two weeks everywhere we went,
sometimes just a few days, andit was crazy, busy, crazy,
like just travel it was. Itwas a ton of fun. We
got to do so many cool things. There's a lot of travel fatigue,
(33:52):
though, But like this coming year, we're kind of we want to try
an experiment of like only going placesif we can get a monthly rate and
can stay there for a whole month. Yeah, So we'll see how that
goes. But yeah, I meanthat that's the thing too, is the
quicker pace you travel, the morelikely you already get burned out. And
so that's the other reason why welike to just stay placed a little let.
We want to git longer. Wewant to go places where we want
(34:14):
to enjoy things and we want toexperience things. I kind of like that,
you know, we've been here atthis campground for coming up this week
will be four weeks. Yes,we should be four weeks. Yeah,
And I like to be places longenough that I can start to know the
area kind of the way I kindof look at it personally internally is like
(34:35):
when I can start to drive tocertain places that I go on the regular,
like the grocery store, the gasstation, maybe our favorite eating spot
without needing the map. That's whenI know we've stayed somewhere long enough and
really had a chance to get toknow the locals. Have some fun.
We love talking to other our viewerswho are staying places longer than us and
(34:55):
hearing from them like what's cool toactually do here in this area, And
so it just really helps to Thelonger you spend, the more time you
get to know the area and youget to kind of internalize and it becomes
it becomes part of you, andyou get to like really feel at home
while you're there. Uh, Aaronjust moved from Vero Beach. Yeah,
(35:16):
we know that area. It's reallyreally nice. In fact, last year
we rented a boat and we tookit up the up the coast and went
all the way up to Vero Beach. You're gonna get a refill. I'm
gonna get a refill. Get arefill. So yeah, so that was
that was a lot of fun.But yeah, I know exactly where that
is. Three Yeah, forest monthsin in at a time. You're in
(35:39):
Florida, now, yeah, bree. We actually we like to stay in
Florida during the wintertime, so that'sprobably the longest that we stay anywhere.
And then we traveled during the summerand the fall typically. Yeah, we
we figured out. Man, thesnowbirds, they know what they're doing.
They know what they're doing. There'sthere's a reason, like all the old
people come here during the summer. It's not it's not just because they're old,
(36:00):
it's because it's nice. Oka Choby, Florida, Oka Choby. I
love it. Port Saint Lucy here, Joshua. We spend a lot of
time in Port Saint Lucy. Usuallyduring the winter time, we're in Port
Saint Lucy in kind of that area. Yeah, the Treasure Coast r V
Park is amazing. Oh it's gorgeous. Yeah, nineteen foot a bump out
(36:25):
so I can move out quickly.Nice. Nice. I gotta you gotta
have your Spec hombs. I'm specspec homes. Hopefully I pronounced that correctly.
I'm gonna go with Spec homes. You can. I like the idea
of having like a prepper RV justwhere you're basically you you have like you
(36:46):
maybe you have zombie prepping material andfood, canned foods and everything like that.
Instead of prepping material, instead ofhaving a bunker, you have an
RV just ready to go. Ata moment's notice, you take off for
the woods. There you go.Miranda spent last winter in Golf Shores,
Alabama. We yeah, we werein golf Shores a couple weeks ago.
(37:07):
It's so gorgeous. I love golfShores. They you know, they just
like the Gulf Coast of Florida. They've got that like white sand beach,
clear blue blue waters, like justgorgeous area. The Hangout is a really
fun place to go if you're ingolf Shores as well. You don't want
to you don't want to support thehangout too much. I heard we got
(37:27):
some negative feedback on the hangout,But like we had, we had a
great time. It was a lotof fun. It was very entertaining.
We had a blast. So youknow, they say it's for kids,
but you know, I'm just abig kid, that's all it is.
Yeah, we had a blast inthe foam party for sure. Joshua thinking
of buying inn RV instead of ahouse. I mean we sold our house.
(37:49):
We bought the house first and didthe whole like you know, American
dream kind of traditional thing first, and then we realized, man, this
is like, let's let's sell itand get an RV instead. And we
did that over two years ago andhave never looked back. Just sold our
house about four months ago, startedfull time a year ago. Awesome.
(38:13):
Welcome to the club. Yeah, well she's been in the club for a
little while. Okay, you know, like for a whole year. That's
yeah. We uh. We wesold the house to help fund the the
RV and the truck that we needed. So that was that was we were
the full time and was kind ofpredicated on us selling the house. Yeah,
(38:36):
what would be beneficial for a fiveperson family? How old are your
kids? Yeah, because there's acouple of different options that I would say
are great for families with kids. One is, you know, going to
be like a mid bunk kind ofset up where they actually have their like
their own room, and that's reallygood. If they're younger, I would
say, if they're older, okay, twelve and sixteen, yeah, I'd
(38:59):
say they're older, try a toyholler and you could. So we've seen
a lot of families were essentially whatthey will do is they will do one
of two things. They will eitherturn the toy holler into their kid's bedroom
and the bed will come down andthen it goes up in the in the
you know, during the day,and then they have the space to play
(39:20):
or do school work or whatever.Or they'll do just the opposite. They'll
turn the master bedroom into the kid'sroom, rip out the bed that's in
there, and put in like abunk style bed, and then the parents
get the toy holler section is theirbed and have like their office area and
extra living space in the toy hollerpart when the when the bed is raised
(39:45):
during the day, so it's justa little bit easier way to kind of
spread out and get a little bitmore room. So I would I would
definitely suggest at least looking at bothof those options. There's also a couple
of a couple of brands that arecoming out with like full two bedroom RV's.
(40:06):
So they've got the bedroom at thefront with the on sweet bathroom,
they've got the kitchen and the livingroom area in the middle, and then
at the rear. They've got awhole another bedroom and bathroom, so that
could be another another option. Yeah, Bruce says, we have a toy
holler. The two kids sleep inthe garage area. It's it's a great,
great direction, like we knew.Yeah, we met this couple,
(40:29):
I think it was in Chicago andthey they they actually slept in the toy
holler section and converted the master bedroominto like a playroom with a bunk bed.
Yeah. Yeah, because they havethey have three kids, and their
kids are a little bit younger, and so the two boys had the bunk
and then the girl had her likeher own separate bed, but it was
(40:52):
all still in the same room, but it tucked away so that they also
had like a play area in thereas well. So it was it was
really cool year round part timer, yeah, because you still own a construction
company. Yeah, so yes, which makes makes sense that you use your
name is Speck Holmes. Uh.Yeah, his parents have RVD for years
and years and years, and theykind of do that too. There.
(41:15):
They're part time full timers because ohthanks thanks for all for the rows.
But yeah, they're part time fulltimers because they are teachers. So during
the you know, the teaching yearthey're home, but then during the summer
they're gone all summer in their RV. Josh fifth Well, so, actually,
(41:37):
fun fact, a fifth will isan RV, so r V is
kind of more just an umbrella termfor any kind of recreational vehicle. But
yes, we do have a fifthwheel instead of like a travel trailer or
a motor home or something like that. And we we love our fifth wheel.
It was it was amazing. Wekind of we weren't sure when we
(41:59):
first were looking, and we lookedat a couple of different options, and
we just fell in love with thefifth wheels nice. I'm just looking up
this Portofino Island. Is that whatus? That's a resort? Nice terry
that looks really nice. This isthis looks like a hotel. I don't
know if that's what you're talking aboutor not. Is it a hotel or
(42:21):
is it an RV park? Yeah? This that looks like a hotel.
I don't know. Maybe there's amaybe there's an RV a park attaps Well,
that's really like. That looks prettyday cool y, looks awesome.
It's a hotel. Okay, Yeah, that looks really really awesome fifth wheel
or motor home. Uh, itdepends. Yeah, we we have the
(42:43):
old there's an old adage of motorhome is about enjoying the journey and fifth
wheels about enjoying the destination. AndI think that's true to a certain extent.
What they kind of are getting atis like when you're driving down the
road in a motor home, likeyou still have full access and are able
to like go to the bathroom.Your kids can be like on the couch
watching TV or playing games on theiriPads or whatever, school or doing homeschooling
(43:08):
while you're on the road. Andso that's kind of where that comes from.
Fifth wheels to us. We thereason we like fifth wheels is a
they have more space than a poolbehind and they have more floor plans than
a motor home. And so forthat reason we prefer the fifth wheel set
up because we can have whatever floorplan we want, you know, within
(43:30):
whatever they're building at the time. But like this floor plan that we have,
you know, front bedroom, bathroom, this nice big living room with
a couch over on the side andanother couch over on the other side that
we pulled out for more storage,a big kitchen, and a dining dining
area that we ripped that out andput a desk in, Like that doesn't
(43:51):
technically exist in a motor home veryoften, at least not that we've found,
and so we wanted something that fitour needs and the fifth wheels just
have seemed to have more four pointoptions. Yeah, the fifth wheels are
also really really easy to hitch upand unhitch, and they're also really easy
to tow, So you know,it just fit the bill for us.
But I will say though, ifyou want to spend a lot of time
(44:15):
on the road, a motor homeis great because you have this like nice,
really super comfortable cockpit to drive inwith a motor home, whereas with
you know, travel trailer or fifthwheel, you're you're driving in a one
ton truck generally, or a threequarter ton truck at the very least,
and so you know, it's notas comfortable to spend a long time on
(44:37):
the road, which is where youget the journey versus destination kind of mentality.
So you know, that's why wepicked a fifth wheel. But we
have lots and lots of friends whohave motor homes. They love their motor
homes and it works for them.Yeah, less brings up a good point,
Like if you're a lessa brings upa good point. Lisa's I bet
(44:57):
it's Lisa. Lisa brings up agreat point of like if you don't want
to deal with stairs as much.Obviously, a bumper pool is a lot
nicer. They are much lower downto the ground, so you have very
few steps even just to get in, and then you don't have the steps
to get up to like the othersections of the RV. I would agree
totally, like a steps are anissue, definitely something to avoid, like
(45:19):
her right now in her state, not having fewer steps would be amazing.
At this moment, we're younger,so we're generally fairly healthy. Other than
this, circumstances last like this year, and so stairs are not as big
of an issue for us. We'vetalked about like as we got older,
like looking at like a Class Cor a Class A motor home would definitely
(45:40):
be like maybe our next direction ifwe needed to, like if we started
having extenuating health issues. Yeah, are you guys singing about homesteading later on?
No, we're thinking about staying onthe road as long as our bodies
allow. And like I said,if our bodies start to make it a
little bit harder on us, we'llprobably just move to like a Class C
or or Class A, and honestly, that should get us through until we're
(46:04):
If we ever settle down, we'llprobably just settle down in an RV park
and that'll be yeah, that'll beyeah, yeah, Yeah. I love
I love that Tussacks has a schoolie. I always like want to live vicariously
through people who have schoolies, andevery time we see them driving down the
road, like, I just I'mmesmerized by just the renovation that went into
(46:27):
making a schoolie what it is.Yeah, I think everyone who owns a
schooling needs to there needs to bea mandatory requirement that you must give tours
when you get to the campsite. So if I see a schoolie, I'm
gonna come knock on your door andI'm gonna expect you to give me a
tour. It's a lot of work, Yeah, I'm sure it is.
(46:50):
That's we talked about, like wewould have so much fun, we would
totally do it, you know, maybe you know, when she's not working
anymore. But at the same timeas like, yeah, but we also
kind of like what we're doing, and we kind of uh yeah, yeah,
totally, Oh, Vanessa, Yeah, we we actually camp with travel
nurses quite a bit. Like it'sdefinitely a thing where you know, most
(47:14):
of our our RV neighbors when theycome through, if they're full timers as
well, they're either travel nursing,or they're in the military, or they're
doing jobs that are like either youknow, on site somewhere that's transient and
kind of moves around a little bit, or they're remote and uh so,
yeah, we we love getting toknow the travel nurses too and hearing all
(47:36):
of y'all stories because you'll have somereally interesting stories to tell. Uh.
Spec spec Home says, I sawmotor home towing in RV. Uh like
a toe behind U behind the motorLike that sounds amazing, that's interesting.
How big was that then? Imean, because that could be kind of
dangerous that they're if they're both likehuge. But I mean if you got
(48:00):
like a a thirty thirty five footClass C and then like a twenty five
foot pull behind like that wouldn't Imean that would be about the same length
as us. So yeah, couldyou could? You could do it.
You could absolutely do it. That'sthat's an interesting concept for sure. Oh,
Cortest Colorado. Yeah, we werein Colorado earlier this year. Uh,
(48:21):
and it's gorgeous up in Colorado. Is it cold there yet or is
it still like pretty mild tempicture?Apparently it's cold all over the US right
now. Uh, Terry, I'mdrinking a poored, not shaken or stirred,
dirty vodka martini. Basically, it'sa lazy martini. It's a lazy
it's basically ice all lives, alittle bit of olive juice with voti pored
(48:43):
over it. Chili at night inthe forty Okay, so not too bad.
Colorado is not too bad yet?Is it still on Texas? I
thought it was supposed to be coolcool in Texas this week? Okay,
it's it's cool where we're at.We we had a high today of what
seventy eight I think it was.I think it was cooler than that.
It was like seventy five it was. Now, it's gonna beatiful all day
long. It's gonna warm back. It's gonna warm back up again tomorrow.
(49:06):
But like today, we're in Floridaand it was like mid seventies all day
to day it was beautiful. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Texas
is hot. Arizona, yeah breeArizona is like super hot right now.
Texas is still nice. Oh yeah, ninety six day reasons. So that
was my thing. So we werewhen we were planning all of this to
(49:28):
get her foot taken care of,we were like, Okay, do we
go back to Texas, go benear family, or do we go somewhere
else? And I was like, well, first of all, we're gonna
probably need to be there for afew months, and so it'd be nice
to already be in Florida, whereso when it starts to cool off in
the rest of the country, we'llbe stay a little bit warmer. But
if we go to where we're atPensacola, you get a little bit of
that Gulf breeze and so it's notas hot. It's not, yeah,
(49:52):
as it is in Texas. Florida. Yeah, Florida still is nowhere near
as hot as Texas. Yeah.I mean, as somebody was saying the
other day, Tampa apparently never getsabove one hundred degrees. Yeah, yeah,
that's like insane. I'm like,Texas DFW area gets above one hundred
degrees all the time, all thetime. Yeah. Uh oh Scottish Nana.
Oh, you're gonna have to buildNoah's Arc. It's raining in NJ.
(50:17):
If you just build Noah's Ark andthen just come down the coast and
Florida, go around the south end, come back up the Gulf coast and
then stop. We can meet youin in Pinncacola Beach. There you go,
there you go. Yeah, Lisa, we're we're from Fort Worth,
so yeah, and our family livesmost of our family lives in the Fort
(50:37):
Worth area still, so we're very, very familiar with DFW H. Bradley.
Yes, this is a fifth wheel. It is a forty one fifth
wheel. Ah, that's like,that's a plan. That's a plan.
It's probably not a Yeah, she'sshe's she didn't say that was the plan.
(51:00):
Say it was a plan. Inoticed. I noticed she wasn't committing
to this one. Uh slow,I'm slow, I remembered this time.
I'm slow. So for all ofyou just joining us, she had has
no pneumonia. She just got itlast week, and so she is her
her body's struggling to do simple thingslike standing up and walking around the camp
(51:24):
er. Uh yeah, So howlong do you have in the RV communities
until they force you out. Honestly, if you can find anywhere that lets
you stay a month, they'll usuallylet you stay a several months. There's
are are a few that will havelike a max. Three months, they'll
have like a max six months,But a lot of times most campgrounds,
(51:46):
if they have a monthly rate, you can probably be there for like a
full time and never leave. They'reabsolutely places that limit it. So like
the place that we're at they havea monthly rate, we could stay here
a year round if we wanted. To the place that we go down to
in Sport Saint Lucy, we couldstay there year round if we wanted to.
(52:08):
It all depends on availability. Butthere are definitely campgrounds there was there's
a campground that I stay at inDFW when we go through to c Family,
they have a monthly rate and ifonce you get on a monthly rate,
you can stay as long as youwant. But if you're not on
a monthly rate, they won't letyou stay past twenty eight days and so,
(52:30):
and you have to get on thewaiting list to get them to get
the monthly rate. And so themax you could stay is twenty eight days.
Yeah, so there's a lot.Yeah, we look for year round
Miranda. Yeah, we look foryear round spots with monthly rate all the
time, Specams. Yes, there'sa lot in Florida that you could stay
year round. There are a fewthat do shut down during the summer.
(52:52):
They're more like they're usually like thefifty five plus communities sometimes and they'll go
ahead and shut down for the summermonths because they just don't have enough people
there to to staff it. Sothere is there are some that will like
literally shut down. Then there's someup in the north. There's a lot
up in the north that'll shut downduring the winter. Yeah. My daughter
has numenous. I don't I don'tknow what numinous is. I'm guessing that's
(53:14):
pneumonia. Well, if that's true, then I hope she gets feeling better
soon. I know, like fromexperience right now, having it it sucks.
Terry's got football on the big screenand TikTok and us on TikTok for
him, Terry, Terry, who'splaying and who's winning right now? Yeah,
I say we're gonna be We'll bewatching the Cowboys game on Sunday for
(53:34):
sure, we're from Texas. Wegotta we gotta root for the Cowboys.
It's there. There are a team. I mean, although they really did
let us down this last week, but hopefully they'll redeem themselves. Beach Girl
says a lot of the RV parksin Connecticut will close down. Yeah yeah,
oh yeah yeah, Connecticut, Maine, like that whole area. We
(53:54):
actually, we actually have some friendswho own a campground up in oh god,
whears it. I think it's upin Canada, but it's over in
that on that side, and duringthe winter they shut it down and then
they come here to Florida, sowe snowboard at like with them as well.
Lions are up and the Dolphins arekicking the Broncos. Didn't they just
(54:16):
play this past weekend? Though?Oh yeah, it's good. I don't
know. Yeah. Do we havecable, No, we do not have
cable. Now we we learned howto watch television from the the We have
streaming services. The Pirates of theGreat Sea. Pneumonia scares your lungs for
life. Please take care of yourselfso this will be what your third or
(54:38):
fourth time having pneumonia in your entirelife. Third time, third time,
yeah, third time. So yeah, I'm and I already have asthma,
so that that's why I'm I'm predisposedto it. But yeah, no,
I'm definitely really really trying to takecare of myself and not not push it
(54:59):
to much too fast. You've hadit eight times, big In. Oh
my goodness, that's awful. Howhow old are you? If you don't
mind me asking that? That's Iknow that they have a vaccine for it,
but I don't know how effective thatis. Yeah, and flank mulan
leaf tea, it'll really help.Oh okay, look, I've never I've
(55:21):
never heard of that kind of tea, Nana, but I will. I
will definitely look into it now.Yeah, for sure, I think tensor
right now. But really want toknow, I mean, Joshua, like,
going from a tent to an RVis a game changer. So I
can totally see definitely wanting an RVif you if you're just intense. So
Martin, we got we got offthe boot, and now I have pneumonia,
(55:45):
Like it's I don't it's yeah,the foot's still healing. We're just
here it is, But I don'thave to wear a boot anymore. I'm
kind of weaning out of it,which is great. It's not a hundred
percent like she's not fully mobile. We go back to the doctor for the
foot again tomorrow, so hopefully we'llhave we'll continue to have a good update
(56:05):
there. So I might ask you, answer you, Jimbo, get it
on Amazon. Okay, I'm gonnaanswer you the best I can, Jimbo.
So we still owe on both ofour truck and the RV. So
if you're taking that into account, then you need then you'll have to like
figure this in for yourself and howmuch you're paying on your truck and how
much you're paying on your trailer orwhatever your setup is. So I budget
(56:28):
up two preferably less, but upto twelve hundred dollars a month for our
site fees. Usually we pay lessthan that. That is kind of the
upper end of where we want itto be. I'll budget up to eight
hundred dollars a month for fuel whenwe're traveling a bunch, but generally we
(56:51):
never use that much. That's likethe very like I don't think we've ever
even come close to eight hundred dollarsin a single month for fuel. But
that's like worst case scenario, wewere like traveling every single weekend for multiple
days in a row, we mightget close to eight hundred dollars a month.
That's kind of so I budget abouteight hundred dollars for fuel when traveling.
When you're stationary, you'd obviously you'duse less. I budget about six
(57:15):
hundred dollars a month for like activities. Again, we usually spend less,
but that gives us a little bitof wiggle room. And then you know,
obviously cost of groceries are going up, and so I think I budget
about a thousand dollars a month forgroceries. Usually, again we use less.
So if you take all that intoaccount, you're looking about thirty six
(57:37):
hundred maybe four thousand dollars, notcounting what you might be paying on your
truck or RV. Again, theseare all these numbers can also be done
for a lot less that We're likeevery single one of those, especially the
fuel. You can definitely use alot less RV sites. You can go
to national parks and other places likethat and spend a lot less. You
(58:00):
know, obviously like going out expenses, you don't have to go out at
all if you don't want to,and and groceries. Again, you can,
you can spend less on groceries. So I think we budget close to
four thousand dollars for you know, kind of our month over month spending.
Yeah, but you could definitely doit for a lot less than that.
Oh yeah, we know people whodo it for a lot less than that
too. So it's it's just likeyou know, living in a in a
(58:22):
house, like every every family hastheir own budget. Yeah, Mark,
Mark says you're beautiful. I'm gonnasay, I'm gonna I'm gonna assume that
he's talking about me, and that'sa great compliment because I don't feel super
hot right now, so I don'tfeel super beautiful and sexy, but but
thank you for telling me you're stillvery very pretty. Thank you, sir.
(58:44):
Oh. Nana Goat also shows mealand t. Hopefully I'm pronouncing that
correctly. Word But no, Ilike gonna to look at it, look
into it because Nana told us todo it, so we need you gotta
gotta follow what Nana tells us todo. Lions are kicking the packers' house.
Yeah, packers are having a roughThey're having a rough season so far.
(59:04):
Having a lot more freedom instead ofa job, yeah, Joshua,
So we we still work, wejust work remotely. Uh and thankfully we're
able to uh do this life andstill be able to work at the same
time just because of the jobs thatwe have in the I guess the the
work line of work that we're in. So it's really really nice. So
(59:27):
we will check out this mulinte.I mean, I might drink it if
it's I mean, if it's thatgood. Yeah, cheesecake, says Cincinnatty,
is waving at us. Is thatwhat your mean? Well, yeah,
waving high Cincinnati, High Cincinnati.I don't see town. Let's up
seat town. Get Buddhau brand.Okay, cool, Buddha brand. Okay,
let me find the Buddha brand.Uh boo dah. Yeah, just
(59:49):
type it in Buddha mulin tu mulinteright there, yep, Okay, I've
got it. Do it? Dowe have elderberry tea too? Hey?
Noms gorgeous and hat guy, that'sawesome. It's babe, and Beard m's
(01:00:14):
he's he's wearing his hat now fora whole new reason, and it's because
he hit his head on the KingpinHitch last week and had to have ten
staples in his head. So nowhe's wearing his hat suit. Doesn't gross
everybody out. I'm trying not to. I'm trying not to go against TikTok's
guidelines for blood and gore. Yeah. Yeah, So we posted the video
(01:00:36):
today. If you haven't checked itout, you should definitely check it out.
It's pretty funny. We posted thevideo today like when it actually happened,
because we happened to catch it onvideo and then obviously the aftermath of
like going to the er to goget it stitched up, and we had
to be really careful about like makingsure that we were, you know,
sharing what happened, but not likemaking it to where people were just like
(01:01:00):
this is this is gross. Wecan't do this. Yeah, it's like,
oh, you look gorgeous too, thank you. I appreciate it.
Uh, that makes me feel good. Not not everybody appreciates the luxurious beard
as much as as some people. So I I do sometimes I need.
I do need my my spirits liftedevery once in a while. I mean,
his beard is looking pretty epic. It's a little getting a little bushy
(01:01:23):
on the sides. We probably needa trim. Trim the sides a little
bit soon, but other than that, like, yeah, do you got
some some good epic beard going onthere, sir. It's it's been good
for me. Yeah. And youknow what's funny is so he grew he
started growing the beard in twenty nineteen, I believe, was it twenty nineteen
(01:01:50):
or was it? Yeah, itwas before COVID, it was before cod
wasn't. Yeah, so he startedso before he had some facial hair,
but but for the most part,he just kind of had this like five
o'clock shadow kind of look all thetime. And I really didn't want him
to grow a beard initially, butI think it was for like no shave
November. I think you actually werelike, hey, you know, if
you wanted to grow a beard thismonth, you know, I'd be fine
(01:02:14):
with that. Yeah. I thinkit was like for no shave November or
something like that, because you hadmentioned it a couple different times. And
so finally he grows the beard, and in December he was like, Okay,
well, you know, I canprobably go ahead and just cut it
off now, and I was likeno, And I really loved it.
I fell in love with the beard. And so he just hasn't cut it
(01:02:36):
off. Since now he trims itand shapes it and everything. But yeah,
he's had the beard ever since. And I had a dream one time
that he cut the beard off withouttelling me, and I was so so
mad and it was so vivid andfelt so real that like I woke up
(01:02:57):
in the middle of the night andI like turn it over to make sure,
like look at him and see thathe still had the beard. I
was. I was very upset withyou in my I've been told now that
the beard. Shaving the beard couldbe grounds for divorce. He could be
grounds for divorce. He cannot shavethe beard without discussing it with me first.
I don't think you would ever wantto. No, I would.
(01:03:20):
I would not, well no,I really wouldn't want to, like at
this point, like it's it's justpart of who I am. I probably.
I mean, if I didn't haveto worry about you, I may
not do as good as a jobas at maintaining it. Well, yeah,
that's kind of the wife effection. That is the wife exactly, Oh
your husband. So I had aspecial soap that I had for my beard,
(01:03:45):
and it was great and I lovedit, and then it ran dry.
We were already on the road, and so like getting it again was
like it was going to be acomplicated process because they'd have to like ship
it to wherever I was at.And it was like it was it was
kind of and then I like startlooking into it and I was like,
you know what, dove works likenot shampoo, Dove bar soap works actually
(01:04:12):
really really well with a beard. And I was like, okay, at
least with my beard. Yeah,it's it's like I will So what I'll
do is I'll typically not every day, but I'll typically wash the beard about
every other day with Dove bar soap. And then you have some soap that
you use that's like a like alike a real deep clean, and I'll
(01:04:33):
do that, you know, oncea week, once every two weeks and
kind of do like a super deepclean. And I'll like a lotion after
that. But usually after I dothe dove I'll do like some beard oils
and stuff like that and just tohelp kind of keep it healthy. But
honestly, I don't like to washthe beard every single day. It just
(01:04:53):
because it's the hair, like it'shealthier. Honestly, anybody who's got long
hair knows it. It's it's generallyhealthier not to wash your hair every single
day. Shorter hair, you canhad to get away with it. And
but the beard's like, yeah,it's pretty good, it's pretty like this
is pretty long, Like it's prettylong. Yeah, I guess we got
Denver, we got North Dakota,we got Tennessee, Pennsylvania in the house
(01:05:20):
bar soap, yep. Do Iever find leftovers in it? Sadly,
yes, yes all the time. But you do use like some beard oil
and beard bomb as well, whichkeeps it, keeps it really healthy,
which is nice. Oh, Igot Virginia and Kansas in the house too,
(01:05:44):
like like Maryland. You guys arefrom all over tonight. Hey Jay,
we're from Texas originally, but wefull time RV and full time travel
RV all the time. So agarynice yep, tex is representing so yeah,
So right now we're in Florida, but we've been all over the country
(01:06:05):
and we very rarely actually go backto Texas now. Yeah, Green Eyes
Destin is gorgeous. We're in thePensacola area right now, which is you
know, similar similar area kind ofthat Destin thirty a Pensacola area it's it's
beautiful over here, Nana says.Nana Peanuts says she's from Louisiana and she
(01:06:28):
went to Pensacola and it is beautiful. Yeah, yeah, Pensacola. I
don't I don't know how why,but it just it speaks to me as
it speaks to you. I don'tknow, I don't know why. Like
I love everything about it. It'sstill small, but it's in this nice
little area where you have easy accessto the beach. There's a beautiful dog
(01:06:48):
beach down there. Oh yeah,it's free. It's just lovely. And
then it's got amazing restaurants. We'vegot our sushi restaurant over on Navarre Beach.
Yeah, we've got a a Cajunrestaurant like right off of the road
on Pensacola Beach that we love.Is a good whiskey bar, oh yeah.
Downtown, Yeah, the whiskey baris great. They have an amazing
(01:07:12):
farmer's market too in Pensacola, justlike right there downtown. And then they'll
do like different festivals and things likethat right in the downtown area, which
is really really gorgeous. It's justan amazing like little little Gulf town yes,
Sarah's Slippery Mermaid. That's that's thesushi restaurant. Yeah, Slippery Mermaid
is amazing. If you're into ourbeach, you gotta go to the Slippery
(01:07:34):
Mermaid. If you like sushi, you gotta go to the Slippery Mermaid.
It's really good. Every time wecome through here, we'll go there,
which which one JB. I thinkshe's got a broadcaster's voice, but actually
I've heard that before. I've actuallydone some broadcaster voice stuff before and it's
turned out great. But that's alsoafter a lot of post work. So
(01:07:54):
you're hearing me live, so Imaybe don't have it now. Yeah,
yeah, yeah, I it's funny. I have been told old that a
few different times that like I shouldhave been a game show host, and
I like missed my calling to bea game show host. What's funny is
her voice is actually kind of weakright now because of its pretty because of
pneumonia, and so it's legit likekind of like I hear it still,
(01:08:16):
but I'm but it's not like asstrong as it normally is. So that's
funny that you still picked up onit. Yeah, yeah, normally it's
a little bit more amped up it'sa little bit more high energy. I'm
a little bit more high energy.I just don't have the energy today.
But but yeah, no, it'sthat's pretty funny that you picked up on
that. It's pretty funny. Wecan both host a game show. Hey,
(01:08:38):
you know, here we go.I'll i'll, i'll, I'll hit
all the nice deep low tones foryou Tennessee. Yes we oh yeah,
we do stop in Tennessee. Westopped in Nashville a few years ago.

like vacation in Nashville and had alast We loved it. So unless unless
