Music Hi, everybody.
Welcome to episode 64 ofWanderlust and Wishes.
Today, we're going to continueour You Can Only Choose One

(00:40):
series with You Can Only ChooseOne Disneyland Park.
Heading to the West Coast.
It's so fun.
And as I was going through it, Iwas just talking to my dad
earlier today about goingthrough the notes and going
through everything.
And that now this makes me, notthat I don't already want to go
to Disneyland, but this reallymakes me want to go back to
Disneyland, going through all ofthe, all of the different areas

(01:02):
of the park and picking thingsout.
When, as I was going throughmenus and all the like special
70th anniversary, this, this, this, and this, it's like, oh,
they have so many like specialofferings right now.
I know.
I actually think one of mythings, even though it's only
70th anniversary, I think Ipicked a menu that was 70th
anniversary just because it wasamazing.
And I was like, oh, it's fine.

(01:23):
Okay, so you ready to getstarted?
Yes.
We're going to start on MainStreet.
There are so many options.
Just as a reminder, we pick aride, a food, a snack, and an
attraction.
So for my ride, I am justpicking any of the Main Street
vehicles.
It's such a vibe.
You have the carriage, the fireengine, the horse-drawn
streetcars.
and the Omnibus.

(01:43):
So if you can get a chance, Ifeel like you need to do this at
least once.
Yeah, it's super fun.
Food.
Warning you all now, it is veryhard to narrow down food at
Disneyland for me.
Starting off strong, picking twoalready because I'm going to
pick the Carnation Cafe and thePlaza Inn.
The Plaza Inn is a charactermeal and you need a reservation

(02:05):
for it.
So if you don't have areservation, that's why I'm
picking Carnation as well.
So the Plaza Inn, as I said, ismy most favorite character meal
on property.
It's a buffet with Minnie andfriends.
You come in and meet Minnie andget a picture, and then you can
sit and eat.
One time, Minnie was havingissues in the kitchen, so Daisy
was meeting.
But then after we ate, we gotback in line and met Minnie
after our meal.
So we had double.

(02:27):
You never know who's going tomeet here, but it kind of seems
to be like two different groupsof characters.
One time we had Max, CaptainHook, Fairy Godmother, Eeyore,
Tigger, Del, and of course,Minnie.
And then another time it wasDel, Perla, and Susie,
Cinderella's girl mice, Pluto,Tigger, Daisy, Pooh, and then
Minnie again.
So, you never know who you'regoing to meet, but I feel like

(02:49):
there's always a couple of veryrare interactions.
But it's just your standardbreakfast buffet.
Carnation Cafe.
For the vibes, the parmesantoasted patty melt served with
fruit or seasoned fries wasreally calling out to me this
time.
This is a great spot if you canget there and ask for the
pergola during the parade.
So, If you get there a littlebefore a parade starts and then

(03:11):
ask to be seated out there, it'snot always a guarantee, but a
little fun tip.
Is that quick service or tableservice?
It's more of a table.
Okay.
But do you need reservations forthat one typically?
You don't typically needreservations.
Is it kind of like a polite pigsituation?
Like a hybrid?
Yeah.
And I just feel like most of theplaces at Disneyland you don't

(03:31):
really need an advancedreservation.
They can usually squeeze you inon a walk-up just because no one
does like sit-downs.
So there are a couple that Youcan, like, if you really want
it, get a reservation, especially character meals.
But for the most part, you canjust get a walk-up.
For my snack, it very muchdepends on what you're feeling.
Sweet, salty, savory.

(03:52):
There are so many carts righthere.
There's the Red Wagon that'sfamous for the corndog.
The Jolly Holiday is known forthe raspberry rose Mickey
macaron.
There's just so many optionsdepending on what you're
feeling.
So pick a cart and go there.
Go to all of them.
Oh, yes.
Yes.
And we've done that.
We sat down at one of the littletables in the main street and

(04:12):
came back with about eightdifferent things from each eight
different locations and justshared it.
Reese was on a 10 p.m.
high and the other two weresleeping in the shoulder.
And it was just very nice.
Attraction.
I'm picking shopping.
Duh.
The Emporium and all the shopsdown the street can't be beat.

(04:34):
So for me...
Similar to what Crystal said, really any of the options along
Main Street are the absolutebest.
Of note, just so that if you'venever been to Disneyland, no
reservations are needed for theomnibus, the carriages, the fire
truck, any of those things.

(04:54):
But it's a one-way trip from oneend of Main Street to the other.
And you just have to wait inline.
It's kind of first come, firstserve.
So you find the spot where thesign is and you just get on from
there.
And then also, they aren'twheelchair accessible.
So if you have someone that's ina wheelchair or an ECV, they
just need to be able to get fromtheir wheelchair or ECV onto the

(05:18):
vehicle and ride.
99% of the time, I'm going topick a character meal, sit down.
So I would pick, if I were goingto do that, I would definitely
want to do the Plaza Inn.
I've never done it before.
And it would be on my bucketlist to be able to do it.
However, if I'm just wanting tograb something from a quick

(05:39):
service, there is a gluten-freetoasted cheese sandwich from the
Jolly Holiday Bakery that everytime I look at that menu, I want
it.
So I definitely would begrabbing one of those.
I would stick with Jolly Holidayfor my snack as well because

(05:59):
they have gluten-free chocolatechip cookies that I would love
to be able to have.
And for my attraction, I decidedon doing the Paint the Night
Parade.
And if it can be timed right, Iknow it would probably be, I
might be wearing some rosecolored glasses here that the
timing may not work out or bothof them may not be happening.

(06:21):
But if they're both happeningand the timing is right, doing
the Paint the Night Parade andthe Wondrous Journey fireworks,
because Paint the Night, Ithink, is at like earlier, like
maybe an hour, hour and a halfbefore the The fireworks.
So if you're on Main Street andyou're kind of in that spot
where you find a spot there, youcan camp out there and then wait

(06:41):
for the fireworks afterwards.
Do you think that would work?
Disneyland expert?
Yeah.
Especially right now, everybody's wanting paint the
night parade places to sit.
So you're probably camping outanyway.
Yeah.
Send a runner to get your foodand snacks.

UNKNOWN (06:57):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (06:58):
Everything that I've seen is that a really good spot
next to Jolly Holiday Bakery.
Because it's in a spot rightthere that's on the corner.
That's a good spot on MainStreet.
Yeah, especially with theirfirework projections.
They have projections all downMain Street.
So if you can be in a spot tosee the castle, but also see
what's going on down MainStreet, that's a great spot.

(07:19):
Okay, so we're going to moveover to Adventureland.
For me, I'm going to pick JungleCruise.
I can't help it.
Jungle Cruise is just like sucha nostalgic ride that Walt put
so much into it.
So that would be my ride that Iwould pick if I had to choose
one of them.
For food, they have Bengalbarbecue and they have these

(07:42):
skewers there that aregluten-free.
And so I would do the Bengalrice plate and get, you have the
choice of picking two of theskewers.
So I would pick the chickenskewer and the steak skewer.
They look delish.
And that's just served on a bedof rice.
For my snack, I'm going to do aDole Whip Swirl from Tropical

(08:04):
Hideaway and then go to the TikiRoom for my attraction.
I don't think you're supposed totake Dole Whip in there, but I
think we've seen people do it.
I'm pretty sure I've snuck somein at Walt Disney World.
I don't know if they do that.
We love to do that.
We love to get Dole Whip andthen go to Tiki Room right
after.
It's flanked by Dole Whip.

(08:26):
Before you come in and when youleave.
Exactly.
For my ride in Adventureland,I'm doing Indiana Jones
Adventure.
Hands down.
It's one of my favorites.
Fun fact, they just added singlerider.
So if you're heading out thereanytime soon, look that up.
Food, I'm also going to BengalBBQ and also getting the Bengal
rice plate.
It's just such a great proteinoption, which I feel like can be

(08:50):
hard to find in theme parks.
So this is a good place to graba quick bite.
snack, I'm also getting the DoleWhip.
There are a few places to grabit.
Like I said, check the menus.
Usually the juice bar before yougo in the tiki room just has
like the OG and then thetropical hideaway has the
specialty and the tropicalhideaways where like all the
tables are behind the tiki room.
And I'm also going to the tikiroom.

(09:14):
John claims it's too loud tosleep, but I've seen sleepers in
there.
So it's dark.
It's cool.
And the birds were worked on byWalt.
So that's iconic.
Yeah.
It was the first animatronic ofits kind.
He like that laid the groundworkfor all the other animatronics
that we see today.
So I just think it's amazingthat they still have them and
that they still work.

(09:35):
That's amazing.
All right.
Let's move on to New OrleansSquare.
My ride Pirates of the Caribbeanand I can smell the water now.
It's the superior version.
It's like five minutes longerthan Walt Disney World has two
drops and They had an interimdining lane here for a minute
while Tiana's was being workedon, but it just barely went
away.
So prepare accordingly.
The line can look long, but itusually goes pretty quickly.

(09:59):
Food.
Tiana's Place.
I've tried three differentthings on this menu and they
were all really good.
I ordered the muffalettasandwich.
John and my father-in-law gotthe jambalaya and house gumbo
and they were all delicious.
Probably one of the best.
It's like a quick service, butthey have tables, sit down meals
that we had our entire trip.
So I feel like that's a must.
snack.

(10:19):
You've got to go to the mintjulep bar for a drink and Mickey
beignets.
And then for my attraction, I'mgoing to hop on the train.
This is a good little stop.
This train experience isdifferent than Walt Disney
World.
There's some surprise littlethings.
So ride it all the way around.
So I also am going to do Piratesof the Caribbean, but I would
rather do the sit down at BlueBayou and do the Fantasmic

(10:43):
package.
So I was looking, Fantasmic iskind of on the bubble between
New Orleans and frontier land.
It's kind of, it's encompassingall of it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So for me, all of this kind of,I've kind of had a themed going
with it.
So I put everything in, I didall of the stuff I had.

(11:05):
So I did pirates for my ride, blue Bayou, and I did the
phantasmic package.
And then they also have a prefixmeal for the 70th anniversary
that has a salad.
It has ribeye steak, and prawnswith Western butter and then a
chocolate chip mousse as adessert.
Yum.
Yeah.
That's why I was like, I don'tthink that I can pass that up.

(11:26):
I know that's not a typical, butthat's what I would pick now.
And then they also have shavedice at the Royal street veranda.
It's a, just a little quickservice.
They have house-made flavorsthere and you can pick two up to
two for your shaved ice.
And I would pick coconut andpineapple flavors for mine as

(11:46):
Still sticking probably a littlebit with the Dole Whip flavor,
but I can't help it.
And for my attraction, I choseFantasmic.
The entrance area is kind of inthe New Orleans Square section,
but it also kind of goes overinto Frontierland.
So it could be in either one,but I chose it for my New
Orleans attraction.

(12:08):
Moving over to Bayou Country, those of you that have known
Disneyland for a a while.
It used to be Critter Country, but now since they have Tiana's
over there, they've renamed it.
I am going to ride Tiana's BayouAdventure.
For my food, I'm going to pickthe Hungry Bear Barbecue
Jamboree and get the barbecuesalad.

(12:29):
It looks so good.
It's chopped brisket, romaine, and kale mixed greens,
cucumbers, carrots, corn rib,and chili lime vinaigrette.
Yum-oh.
I need that.
It looks so good.
Like I was, when I was lookingthrough the menus, I was like, I
want that like right now.
And then for my snack, I amgoing to go over to Pooh's

(12:51):
Corner and I'd really like totry the churro toffee because
Crystal talks about it like allthe time and she loves it.
So I definitely want to try it.
I've just never had it before.
But if I were going withsomething that's like a tried
and true, I'm going to get aMickey Rice Krispie treat
because it's, you know, dippedin chocolate, It's just like so
good.
And so it's just easy.

(13:13):
And it's just one of my simpletreats that I love.
And then my attraction, it'snot, I don't know that it's
necessarily an attraction, butstay in Pooh's Corner because
they're shopping there.
And I just cannot pass up anyPooh merchandise, even if I
don't necessarily buy the entirestore, just walking around in

(13:33):
there.
I don't know.
There's just like this calmingsensation that you get when
you're around it.
He's just the best.
They have so many things goingin that little store too.
You can sit and watch them makethe dipped apples.
Like mesmerizing because theyhave the window there and you
can just sit and watch them.
For my picks in Bayou Country,I'm also going to ride Tiana's.

(13:54):
Lots of great memories on this.
When it was Splash, I was sad.
It was still closed when we werethere in September.
So I haven't experienced Tiana'sout there yet.
Food.
Harbor Galley.
It is kind of a looked overlittle place.
It's across from the exit ofHaunted Mansion.
It sits against the river andthere's a little spot behind the
building where there are a fewtables and you can watch the
boats from Tiana's come down.

(14:16):
They have a really good clamchowder and a sourdough bread
bowl that is so good.
But they also have a really goodshrimp roll or a steak salad if
you're not into the fish.
Yum.
Snack, of course, churro toffeefrom Pooh's Corner.
And then my attraction is alittle different here.
But there are some really nicebathrooms.
Under the Hungry Bear, justoutside.

(14:37):
Just hang with me here.
Just outside of the bathroomarea, there are some really nice
benches just to sit and watchthe riverboat, the canoes, or
just to sit peacefully.
You could also sit and watch theboats from Tiana's.
I found myself over here a fewtimes with a tired Reese in a
stroller because it felt tuckedaway and just quiet.
There's that whole path back toGalaxy's Edge, and I just don't

(14:58):
feel like it's the most popularpath because it's longer than
going the other way.
Yeah.
So around and that's just whatpeople just don't go that way.
They go back the other way.
Yeah.
So it's just like a tucked awaycorner.
And it's so fun just to sit andwatch like the canoes as they're
out there trying to peopletrying to row.
They've never been on a canoebefore.
So people watching is myattraction.

(15:19):
That is something I think thatwe don't get to do enough or we
probably choose not to do enoughis just sit.
Yeah.
Take it in.
And one of these days I hadchosen not to ride Rise of the
Resistance.
just because it's copy and pasteof the Walt Disney World
version.
And I didn't want to pay extra.
And so it was nice just to likesit with Reese and let her sleep

(15:42):
and I could just kind of roam.
And I had a minute where Ididn't have a schedule.
So thank you, Reese.
Are those the, is it the, is itDavy Crockett canoes?
Is that what they're called?
Yeah.
Those look, those lookhilarious.
It's funny that they still runthem, but they do.
I know.
I thought the same thing.
So speaking of Galaxy's Edge, let's move over there.

(16:06):
My ride of the ones in there, Iwill choose Rise of the
Resistance.
It's fun, but it's not a StarWars person.
So with the rider switch, it'sjust not worth my time.
If you've never ridden itbefore, you gotta ride it.
Food, I'm going TorontoRoasters.
The wrap from this location hasalways been really good when
I've gotten it, which can't besaid for Walt Disney World.
So if you've had Walt DisneyWorld and it felt dry, try the

(16:28):
Disneyland one.
I don't know why that is.
Probably something to do withchurros.
Who knows?
Yeah.
Anybody that's a baker knowsthat the temperature and
humidity levels where you arecan make a huge difference in
how the cake or whatever it isturns out.
It can make a big difference.

(16:48):
And so I really do think thatthat has something to do with
it.
Snack.
I have not done this yet, thisepisode.
If you know me, I've got to getmy Diet Coke and the Fun Droid
bottle because...
That's the place to get it.
So that's my snack.
And then my attraction, I'mgoing to mess with the
stormtroopers because that'salways fun.
They also have their own kind oflittle viewing area for the

(17:09):
fireworks.
They call it Fire of the RisingMoons around 930.
So you just catch a differentview of the park fireworks
display.
So that's kind of cool overtheir rocks.
I don't know if we've mentionedthis yet, but fireworks at
Disneyland are only on theweekends.
So be prepared for that.
I would choose, for Galaxy'sEdge, I would choose Smuggler's

(17:31):
Run.
I am a Star Wars person.
I love Star Wars.
And Millennium Falcon is justiconic.
So I love doing that.
I've never been one of thepilots.
So one day, maybe if I gowithout children, I might be
able to push my way up to thefront.
I'm always a gunner or pilot.

(17:52):
What's the other one?
There's the mechanic or whateverthey are.
The engineer and you're justbutton mashing.
Yeah, you're just doing nothing.
But it is fun to watch when mygirls get a chance to be the
pilot.
It's fun to watch them trying tomaneuver everything.
Does a sprint not make you sick?
I have to have Dramamine and myrelief band on.

(18:12):
Yeah.
If I didn't have that, then yes,it would make me very sick.
And there are some times where Ithink there's a couple of like
when they dive, when they golike straight down.
I have to shut my eyes duringpart of it because of that.
I'm curious about if it would beworse if you're a pilot.
No, no, that's a good question.
Because, you know, when you'relike driving a car, you don't
get car sickness whenever, youknow, as much as you do when

(18:33):
you're a passenger.
So I wonder that might make adifference.
But I also have to do the samething.
Like I love doing star tours andI have to do that sometimes with
star tours.
I have to shut my eyes becauseit's very similar feeling.
My body is like, you're notactually moving, but your eyes
are telling you that you'removing, but your brain is like,
you're not.
And it just messes with me.
For my food, I'm going to doDocking Bay 7.

(18:55):
I did look.
They don't really have agluten-free version of the Ronto
Wrap at Disneyland.
So I'm going to head over toDocking Bay 7.
They have what's called anAndorian chicken salad.
It has marinated chicken, mixedgrains, roasted seasonal
vegetables, quinoa, pumpkinseeds, and a green curry ranch
dressing.
And it is on the gluten-freemenu for those of you that are

(19:18):
wondering.
For my snack, I will do popcornfrom Cat Saka's Kettle.
And then for the attraction, they actually started doing
something new in March of thisyear.
It's called Shadows of Memory, aSkywalker Saga.
And it's right around, it'swhere the Millennium Falcon is.
And it says, gather near theMillennium Falcon to embark on a

(19:40):
storytelling adventure acrossthe galaxy.
Stunning projection effectstransform the spires of Batuu,
evoking memories of some of thegreatest moments in galactic
history.
And I As an iconic musical scoredraws you into the remarkable
story of the Skywalkers.
So as a Star Wars fan, thiswould probably pull on the
emotional strings for sure.
Especially if the music is JohnWilliams.

(20:03):
Oh, I'm sure.
They have shows at 8.45 and10.15.
P.M.?
Yes, P.M.
Okay, walking over toFrontierland.
Big Thunder Mountain is...
No question.
There's not a whole lot of otheroptions in Frontierland anyway,
but even if there were, BigThunder Mountain would be the
ride.
It's probably my favorite rideat Disney World.

(20:26):
I'm hoping they're bringing thespecial effects from Disneyland
to Disney World, this refurb.
I hope so, too.
Fingers crossed.
Yeah.
And then for food, there is arestaurant called Rancho de
Socalo Restaurante, and theyhave tacos there.
And I'm typically not going toever...
turned down street tacos.

(20:47):
So they have a trio of streettacos, beef, chicken, and soy
chorizo with corn tortillas, tomatillo salsa, and then onions
and cilantro.
How do you top that?
Everybody loves this restaurant.
It's so good.
There's also a special likesneak through to Frontierland
through the back corner of thisrestaurant.
If you didn't know, I wasushered through at one.
We were actually on ourhoneymoon to go rope drop Splash

(21:09):
Mountain.
They're like, go through here.
No one knows about thisentrance.
Stay here.
And then they let us go 10minutes before they open the
other entrance.
So we had our Just Married pinson.
So we actually sat and didSplash Mountain like three or
four times before the rest ofthe crowd got there.
Disney magic.
Yes.
Those cast members.
And then for a snack, if Icould, I would get a funnel cake

(21:30):
because they have several typesof funnel cakes.
I don't really have a greatoption in this section.
My only option here is to do acorn on the cob at the turkey
leg cart.
And I don't even know if I wouldbe able to go near the turkey
leg cart to get my corn on thecob.
I might have to send someoneover there because I think that

(21:50):
turkey legs are so gross.
But you can go out of the shipto shore marketplace and they
have fruit and they have thegiant pickle.
Okay.
Well, maybe I can do that.
But I mean, I love corn on thecob.
It's like one of my favoritethings.
It's the best.
But just having to like view theturkey leg as getting my corn on

(22:11):
the cob.
Yuck.
So for the attraction, I knowit's probably like super cheesy,
but the sailing ship Columbia, they don't have this at Walt
Disney World.
So it's like a, I don't know, Ijust think it's a fun, cute
thing.
It's very similar to theriverboat kind of situation.
But I would probably choose thatjust because it's different and

(22:33):
not something I can do at DisneyWorld when I'm there.
That's where I am most.
I'm also going to pick BigThunder Mountain for my ride.
Sorry, it's extra special to me.
Some sweet memories with my dad.
So, got to do that.
Food, I'm going to the Ship toShore Marketplace.
This is across from the BigThunder Mountain entrance for
the breakfast chimichanga.

(22:54):
And I'm going to sit under thelittle cover and watch people
get on and off the boat.
Is that the river boat or thesailing whatever?
The Columbia.
Yeah.
The Columbia entrance is rightthere, I believe.
It's right there?
Okay.
Because you can hear the whistleand the all board.
Oh, that's very fun.

(23:14):
Snack.
I'm going to go inside theGolden Horseshoe for the Cowboy
Fries.
It's fries, nacho cheese, sauteed ground beef, burger
sauce, and butter pickles.
That sounds right up Ella'salley.
Right?
She would take that down.
I need to make sure that I keepthat on the list for her.
For my attraction, I'm doingFantasmic.

(23:35):
If you've never been toDisneyland or have never seen,
this is such a differentexperience from Walt Disney
World.
You just kind of crowd aroundthe river unless you have a
dining package and have like alittle roped off area.
So the dining package is the wayto go.
But if not, you're just kind ofelbowing in there.
So, but it's so fun.

(23:57):
Like the river and the, hopefully there's no more fires,
right?
Yeah.
All right, Fantasyland.
There's so much in Fantasyland.
This is hard.
Yeah, this one was reallydifficult.
But I think, even though it's somagical, this whole area,
there's so many original darkrides, I have to pick Small
World.
It's very dreamy.

(24:17):
The outside is iconic.
You look at the boats outside.
And then I love that they'veadded characters into their
respective areas.
And so I was looking online tosee exactly who they have.
And I'm going to read thisbecause...
People don't understand how bigthe character thing is there.
So in England, you'll find PeterPan and Tinkerbell.

(24:38):
Alice and the White Rabbit arealso present.
Cinderella is found in Francinewith her mouse's friends, Cass
and Jack.
Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricketappear in Italy.
Aladdin, Jasmine, and Abu are inthe Middle East, while Mulan and
Mushu are in China.
Simba, Puma, Timon are inAfrica.
In Latin America, you'll findthe three Caballeros and Miguel
with Dante.
Finally, in the South Seas, youcan spot Ariel, Flounder, Lilo,

(24:59):
and Stitch.
And I believe they just addedMoana.
And then in the AmericaSouthwest, look for Woody,
Jesse, and Bullseye.
They have so much packed intothis space.
It's crazy.
Now that they have the new finalverse in the white room, I just
need to go.
It's closed while we're therebecause they're making it into

(25:20):
the Christmas one.
Food.
I'm going to go to Red RoseTavern.
They have some fun baked potatooptions.
I was really craving the chickenpot pie baked potato that they
have on the menu right now.
I love a baked potato and I lovechicken pot pie.
So sound like a great combosnack.
This is a crystal.
We'll get this every time she'sat Disneyland.
Maurice's treats for the cheesypretzel bread.

(25:43):
You got to try it if you can.
Or a cream cheese filled pretzelat the little pretzel cart
outside of Small World.
And then my attraction.
This is just a great spot to seecharacters in the wild.
Some that you can see walkingaround.
Peter Pan, Geppetto andPinocchio, Genie, Aladdin,
Jasmine, Mary Poppins and Bert,Mad Hatter and Alice.
You just never know who you'llsee wandering.

(26:04):
So keep your eyes peeled.
Some really great interactions.
You can also see if you'restanding in front of the Snow
White ride, the Evil Queen peeksout the window at you.
So you'll look up and all of asudden you'll see her staring
out the window.
It's very creepy.
It's funny.
Yes.
She walks around, too.

(26:25):
We've had some greatinteractions with the evil queen
and Maleficent right there.
Yeah.
And the Cinderella's evilstepsisters and stepmother.
Just keep your eyes out.
So, for me, this whole area, like, I think you could, like,
spend the whole day in here injust this one section because
there's so much going on.
But I was going back and forth,and I couldn't...

(26:46):
I actually asked Crystal before.
I'm like, is Matterhornconsidered in...
Fantasyland or is itTomorrowland?
Because it's kind of in like aweird spot.
If we're counting it as being inFantasyland, I'm going to pick
the Matterhorn.
But I also really, really wantto be able to get on Mr.
Toads one day.
You guys, if you've beenlistening, you know I'm super
salty that I tried three timeswhen I was there last time and I

(27:09):
did not get on because it brokedown every time we were in line.
And it just in general, like Iwant to be able to ride all of
the rides, especially in thatFantasyland area.
They're not in Disney World.
I would love to also get that onthe Alice ride just because I
don't have I've never had that, you know, in Disney World.
And to be honest, I just want toride everything in there and
that whole section for food.

(27:30):
I would go to the Red RoseTavern.
They do have a gluten freesection of their menu.
Not all of the menus have that, but they have a cheeseburger.
So I would just go with gettinga regular old cheeseburger with
grilled onions cheese andpickles it looks delicious and
it comes with basically it lookslike fries it comes with fries

(27:52):
for my snack going to get amickey ice cream bar at the
troubadour tavern it's almost intoontown it's kind of on the
bubble wouldn't you think thetroubadour tavern it's kind of
it's almost up there but i feltlike it was in It's not in
Toontown if it's not under thebridge, under the sun.
So I feel like it was okay toinclude that one.

(28:16):
But yeah, I would definitelywant to get in my Mickey ice
cream bar.
And then for the attraction, Iwould just want to walk around
through the Sleeping BeautyCastle.
You walk through Cinderella'sCastle, but Sleeping Beauty
Castle, you actually can go into different rooms.
And I would want to be able todo that again.
That was really neat.
And I think it's just extraspecial to you because it was

(28:37):
part of Walt's legacy.
Yeah, a lot of people don'trealize that there's like a
whole attraction in there.
So moving into Mickey'sToontown, my ride is going to be
Mickey and Minnie's RunawayRailway.
The queue here is so fun, somuch better than compared to
Disney World.
Although I love the rideregardless of where I ride it,

(28:59):
but the queue was really neat.
And I mean, I remember that likereally stuck out whenever you're
going to the queue.
For food...
I would go to Cafe Daisy.
They have a algae-friendlypepperoni pizza.
And it does say to specificallytalk to a cast member, but it is

(29:19):
listed as something that you canget on their menu.
And then for my snack, there'snot a whole lot of places to get
a good coffee.
Like there's coffee on menus, but it's not like specialty
coffee.
So I would get the specialtycold brew at Cafe Daisy as a
snack.
It has Joffrey's cold brew, vanilla cream syrup.

(29:41):
It also has whipped cream andconfetti and sprinkles.
I wouldn't get all that stuff onit probably.
I just don't generally do thatbecause I want to be able to
taste the coffee.
I actually like the coffee.
So I would probably just get thecold brew and the syrup.
And then the other neat thing inhere is they do have Mickey and
Minnie's houses here.
And you're able to go throughthose.

(30:02):
They have the ability to alsomeet Mickey and Minnie here.
But I think it's so neat thatyou're able to go through their
little houses.
And that's just not somethingthat we have at all.
Nothing even remotely like thatat Disney World.
So I love that kind of stuff.
For Two Town, mine are allpretty similar.
Ride, Mickey and Minnie'sRunaway Railway.
Like Julie said, the queue playshomage to Mickey's life.
So it's just so cool to see allthe different shows and things

(30:26):
that they've come up with.
for food.
I'm also going to Cafe Daisy.
I can't decide between thechicken bacon ranch flop over or
the pepperoni pizza flop over.
In fact, I know someone who's atDisneyland this weekend and they
were posting pictures of theseand I was like, I need this.
And then snack also from CafeDaisy, the Daisy's Goody Goody

(30:47):
Donuts house made mini donutswith cinnamon sugar.
And then for my attraction, I'malso going to Mickey Minnie's
house's It's so fun for thelittles that you can just kind
of play on things and then meetthem.
When we met Mickey, he was in asteamboat outfit.
I've also seen pictures of himin his Sorcerer Mickey outfit
recently.
So I don't know what is whatright now.
Maybe you'll look out and see asteamboat, but that was magical.

(31:11):
Wasn't that when you were there?
That was there when you werethere in October, right?
When you went to the party.
Yeah, I'm there for Ogie Boogie.
I about burst into tears when Isaw that's what he was wearing
when I came through the door.
I was not expecting that.
But honestly, though, thisentire land was reimagined as a
toddler heaven, like Goofy'slittle house and playground and
Donald's boat.
And we sat there for a goodcouple hours and just let them

(31:34):
run.
It looks like Mickey's Clubhouseon the Disney Channel.
Like they took it out of the TVand like plopped it in Disney.

UNKNOWN (31:42):
Yeah.
So fun.

SPEAKER_00 (31:44):
Last but not least, we're going to Tomorrowland.
My ride, Space Mountain.
Love it, especially when it'shyperspace mountain out there.
I've said this before and I'llsay it again.
All the rides that are multiplesor duplicates are better at
Disneyland.
So food, Pete's Planet.
They have this countdown shrimpfasuli.
It's fasuli pasta topped withgarlic shrimp, a Parmesan pesto

(32:05):
cream sauce with sun-driedtomatoes and shaved Parmesan
cheese, which sounds reallygood.
And then a snack.
I've gone this entire episodewithout getting a churro.
So we're getting one.
The cart outside buzzes becauseDisneyland churros are iconic.
You have to get one.
I know you can't eat one, but.
I feel like there's more, there's more churro carts in

(32:26):
DCA, right?
No, they're just everywhere,everywhere.
Okay.
Maybe, maybe that's just like, Ijust felt like I saw more of
them there.
I don't feel like they're all, they're not all listed in the
app.
They just randomly just, there'sa churro cart.
No, I mean, when I was there,like, I just don't remember
seeing a ton of them.
I remember seeing churro carts.
when we were at DCA.

(32:48):
And maybe it's just because forwhatever reason, the girls,
that's what they wanted.
And so we sought them out andfound them when we were at DCA
instead of at Disneyland.
I just remember.
Yeah.
And I do feel like there's a lotmore back hidden corners at
Disneyland.
So it's easy to stick a cartback there.
And unless you're specificallygoing there for that, you kind

(33:11):
of just miss it.
They're just kind of tuckedaway.
I think Disneyland...
It has, there's a ton likecrammed into that little tiny
space.
Yeah.
And so you can definitely missthings.
It's just in general.
For my attraction, there's alittle stage over by the
Galactic Grill that always hassomething going on.

(33:32):
Search in the entertainment tabin the app.
Right now they're havingStitch's Interplanetary Beach
Party Blast from 5.30 to 9.30p.m.
They do things seasonally.
They have things for partieseverywhere.
They might not have something, but usually there's something
going on right there.
Yeah.
I mean, it would be kind of awasted space if they didn't use
that little stage, you know?

(33:53):
Yeah.
They'd use the heck out of it.
I think they should use the one, like, it's kind of a similar
type situation, the one that'snext to Space Mountain at Disney
World.
I don't think they use thatspace enough.
Like, they have, like...
No, they put Buzz on it so youcan see the picture of him.
Yeah.
It's weird.
I think it's very odd that theydon't use that space as much as
they should.
Okay.
So for me, Tomorrowland, I'malso going to ride Space

(34:15):
Mountain.
Although I know Crystal's goingto get, she's going to make a
face at me probably.
But for whatever reason, like welove the Tomorrowland Speedway.
And so when we went to Autopia.
That's a good ride out there andyou get a driver's license.
We just like love that ride.
And I know the Speedway gets alot of crap because it does need
to be redone for sure.

(34:36):
But that was just one of theones that we loved when our
girls were little and it, Imean, and they still love to do
it, but it's kind of a more of anostalgic thing.
So we of course had to do theAutopia one.
It's far better out there thanit is.
Yeah.
They've definitely updated thecars.
They've done something.
Well, and I've heard rumor thatCalifornia is going to make them
go electric.
So that will take care of thelike gasoline smell that you

(34:57):
just like sit and flounder in.
Yeah.
But that one's more of a kind ofa nostalgia type ride for us.
And there's no way I would beable to get Lena on Space
Mountain.
So if I wanted to do a ride withall of us, then that would be
the one that I would do.
And then if it was just mepicking a ride to go on, I would
go on Space Mountain.
For food, I would go to GalacticGrill.

(35:18):
This would be for breakfast.
I don't usually do breakfast-yfood as much.
I typically just have coffee forbreakfast.
But this looks so good.
They have a gluten-free loadedbreakfast sandwich.
And it has sausage patty, egg, bacon, and hash browns on it.
allergy friendly potato bun.
Like I probably eat like aquarter of it.

(35:39):
Cause it looks like it'shumongous, like with everything
that it has on it, but it looksso good.
Yeah.
It looks delicious.
I don't think I need that.
And then for a snack, I would dopopcorn from the popcorn cart.
That's kind of right aroundwhere like, I think it's like
right in front of pizza planet.
As you guys know, we're popcornpeople.
We get popcorn all the time.
So we snack on popcornthroughout the day, any, at any

(36:00):
Disney park.
And then for an attraction, thisis, It's not necessarily an
attraction, but it kind of is.
Again, this is more because ofthe nostalgia of it for me,
getting on the originalmonorail.
It doesn't really do a wholelot.
You can just kind of go back andforth between that area in
Tomorrowland and over to theresort and then back.

(36:23):
It's not very exciting, but itis the original one.
So I thought that's probablysomething that I would at least
take the opportunity to do.
The other thing that I saw, andI don't think this is long term,
but because the Fantastic Fourmovie just came out, they are
doing meet and greets of theFantastic Four characters in the
area that's like right next toSpace Mountain.

(36:45):
I thought that would besomething neat to do.
I'm not a huge fan of thatparticular franchise, but it's
just something different and Iprobably would want to get a
picture.
Are the Fantastic Four notMarvel?
They are.
That's interesting that they'remeeting at Disneyland and not in
DCA.
I don't know.
Interesting.
Yeah.
I don't know why they're not inthat other area.

(37:05):
Maybe it's because it's more ofa spacey type of thing.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Just to know about the monorail, you do need a ticket because you
do end up in Tomorrowland.
And if you ask nicely, they willlet you ride in the nose up by
the...
There's like a special littleseat up there.
So that's fun.
But I think that's all of it.

(37:26):
There's so much in Disneyland wecould not...
cramming DCA today so you needto it would have been way too
much yeah we'll do anotherepisode and I'm also very proud
of us because we had a lot morevariety than we did at Magic
Kingdom but that's easy also todo just at Disneyland in general
so this this makes me want to goto Disneyland again not that I

(37:48):
don't always want to go but thisreally like gave me the bug and
then once we do DCA it's goingto get even worse so trying to
try to figure out now I have tofigure out how to talk my
husband into going.
Maybe we can try to go overspring break next year.
Oh, that would be a good time.
Yeah.
