YouTube guys that just be like, hey, like, hit the like comment,
you know, but hit the like comment.
It it definitely helps the podcast and it it it definitely
puts it in the algos. I have had so many people to me,
so many is, you know, and a little bit amount, but I've had
people reach out like, Hey, I heard your I heard your show on

(01:58):
YouTube, heard your saw you on TikTok.
You know, you don't say, Oh, I heard this, heard that, and I
actually got a third witness to the casino Bigfoot come forward
who worked in the the Buffalo fields out there.
So it's crazy. You know, I appreciate everyone
who sports podcast. You know, that's a that's a
freeway to to support the podcast like and comment.

(02:21):
But I do have a Patreon. It's in the link is in the
description below. There's going to be a format
change. Like I said, I mentioned this a
lot of times throughout. So you are not shocked by this,
but you know the the podcast is,it's still going to do YouTube,
still going to be doing all thatgood stuff, but Patreon was
going to have a lot of exclusivecontent.

(02:43):
You know, I'm going to work out a Part 2 with Miss Rebecca who's
seen the the Lucky Star Casino, you know, footage that's going
to be a Patreon only. You're not going to get that
anywhere else. You got the, it's $5.00 a month.
I have the guys, the paranormal team out in Maine.
I'm going to have them on exclusive only and a few other
people. So I still will be doing, like I

(03:06):
said, the the the shows on YouTube and in the podcast.
It's just you're not going to get them early.
I guess you could say you're going to get them, you know, a
couple of days later, maybe a week later, but Patreon is going
to get everything first. So hit the description below
Patreon. And like I said, guys, I
appreciate the continued support. 2025 is going to be a

(03:27):
big year for us, me podcast us, everybody in general.
So I appreciate the the continued support and let's get
to the episode. So this gentleman, I would
probably say he's one of my first listeners, I'd say one of

(03:47):
my first listeners who had reached out to me.
I appreciate him very much. He always, we always be, you
know, chatting it up on Facebook, you know, we always be
kind of cracking each other up. But he had my first ever
interview. At the time, I was scared to do
interviews. I was kind of nervous about

(04:10):
doing them because like, I don'twant to be bad at it, you know,
but that happens. But he joined me.
I asked him a few questions. He sent me a few audio clips and
we put together and made a pretty good episode.
It's one of it's a high, it's it's a pretty, pretty high up
there episode for me in terms ofmy audio podcast.

(04:33):
And then he came back and did a second episode interview and
that is the highest ranking episode for my podcast, for the
Warcraft podcast. He's got quite a few quite a few
views, but y'all wanted to hear that, you know, these
Appalachian story and different kind of crazy things that goes
on. And he has stuff happens, you

(04:55):
know, all the time. But joining me to the show, Mr.
Derek Morris. How you doing, Derek?
Hey, I'm good. Thanks for having me again, been
a minute. It's been a minute.
You know, I've been holding thisone up in the tuck.
I said, you know, I'm on, I'm on.
I'm going to see if he can come on for the last episode, last

(05:16):
interview, 2024. And I appreciate you.
Well, thank you again for havingme had to write some stuff down
this time. I'm, I don't know, maybe I'm
think I'm running low on stories, but then again, I'm at
work or something and that's, oh, I think of one more that I,
I need to tell. You know, it's always a always
got one more story. Yep.

(05:38):
And you know, that's a beautifulthing about, you know, doing
podcasting and people will tell us, Oh yeah, you just remember
something. But for those who have not and
they're brand new, they're like have never this is their first
time joining in, you know, whereare you kind of locate you don't
have to give your exact location, but could you give us

(05:58):
some background on on kind of who you are if they haven't
heard heard you on this show? Well, my longitude is 760 point
1/4. If you look at your map, I'm in
the very northeastern tip of Tennessee.
OK, you could throw a rock in the Rockwood land in North
Carolina. So I'm, I'm pretty much right

(06:19):
here at the tip of Tennessee in the Appletion Mountains.
So I'm maybe a little bit older than some of your, some of your
listening audience. I'm in my early 50s now.
Time flies when you're having fun, I guess.

(06:39):
I'm a I'm a dad, I'm a husband. I've been married for 20 years
now. Traditional pow wow dancer,
Eastern man of Cherokee Indians. And I'm just a plain ordinary
guy. I'm just run-of-the-mill.
I work in a factory. That's that's kind of it, man.

(07:01):
It's kind of boring if you thinkabout it, but sometimes laugh
through these little curveballs that kind of makes you question
what's really going on. For sure, and you know when I
first started communicating withyou, you know, you get up and
like literally the ass crack of dawn, like literally the dawn

(07:23):
hadn't even it's not even there yet.
And you, if you hit me up 11 morning as you're going to work
and you you sent me a video, anyof this is you've sent me
multiple videos and on this channel, I have a few.
I posted a few of those videos in my shorts, video shorts,
YouTube shorts of some some howling and you know, kind of,

(07:46):
you know, giving people a littlebit of AI guess a recap.
You had a lot of weird stuff going on when you was young and
you heard a lot of things and you have people telling you
things when you just growing up did were in that right.
Oh, yeah, it was maybe I'd like to say that maybe most families
have weird stories to share. Hopefully that makes us all feel

(08:09):
a little more normal. But my family had some crazy
stuff going on when back in the late 70s, early 80s, all the
uncles and, and aunts growing upcome from a big family and most
of them grew up, you know, therein, in grandma's house, as we

(08:29):
always called it. The other was some crazy stuff
that that happened to, to all ofus growing up.
We've all had our fair share of,of weird happenings.
And sometimes they just kind of stick with you a little bit.
What are what are some of those things that you, you guys, you

(08:50):
know, you heard or I always ask people on this podcast that, you
know, what's something that yourgrandparents told you not to do
or, you know, give you a little advice.
What were some things that you know, especially where you're,
where you're at, you're at, you know, you're at and near the
Appalachian Mountains. You know, I'm sure that there's
all types of crazy stuff they told you not to do.

(09:11):
Well, for one, that maybe it's acommon thing.
Don't whistle in the woods, especially at night.
It's just looking for trouble really.
I know grandparents told told usalways if we go out, of course,
we were always out there and there wasn't any Internet or
anything like that. So outside was was our Internet.

(09:31):
But no whistle in the woods. I've heard don't eat, you know,
don't make a plate and eat outside at dark.
Just kind of things you can reflect back on like that.
Of course, my childhood was was a long time ago.
So for your listeners, if you want to remember a story better,

(09:54):
you might want to write it down because I've had to write a lot
of mind down just to kind of stick with you sometimes.
But I remember starting into a story.
I remember a family story that was told to me.
If you go back and listen to theother tales from the trail, I

(10:14):
think Part 2, the uncle that's all Bigfoot in the woods when he
was hunting, this was the same uncle, but he was, he was a kid.
I remember the family story wentthey heard him screaming in his
room in the middle of the night. It was summertime, you know, the
didn't have any air conditioner windows open.

(10:36):
My grandmother gets up and runs to his room to see what's what's
wrong. You know, they hear the kids
screaming. I think he was maybe about six
or seven, I think, yeah, about six or seven years old.
And they hear him screaming in the middle of the night and she
runs into his room and opens thedoor.

(10:58):
I remember she told me that she could see her breath in that
room and she felt something was in there with him.
She never did say what it was, but she said I could see my
breath like a cold winter night in that room, so that's a pretty

(11:21):
good indication that something was there visiting.
Yeah, man, that's, you know, I always say this like a spirit,
you know, it's kind of a movie thing, you know, it's kind of a
a movie thing where they're like, oh, you know, it's so cold
and you can see your breath, youknow, but to actually kind of

(11:44):
experience that, it's kind of crazy.
Yeah, especially in the middle of summer.
Be 90° out. Sometimes I wish my bedroom
would be that cold. My wife had bet on me though,
but it'd be a good sleep. Shoot, he's probably, he
probably was sleeping good too. He's like, oh, woke up.

(12:05):
Just kind of, oh, what's happening?
Oh, it's real nice. It was good in here.
Like a meat locker. Yeah, is is in there?
Is in there, froze, you know, got 3 blankets on in there.
It's haunted, though. All them blankets pulled up to
your nose. Yeah.

(12:29):
I thought that was always. She'd she'd told pretty much
everybody that story. That was one of those stories
where you could ask her. Hey, Grandma.
You know, tell tell about the time that the room was cold and
here it comes, you know, for family events or, or, or what
have you with that, there's always kind of crazy, you know,
when you it makes for a good story, but when you really think

(12:52):
about it, it's kind of messed up.
You know, it's not, it's not something that's supposed to be
natural, but you see that, like you said, you see that on the
movies a lot nowadays in the presence of I guess maybe a
negative spirit or something. You know that the the actors
walk in and they can see their breaths or it's real cold in the

(13:16):
room. So maybe Hollywood's finally
listening to the spooky tales. Yeah, yeah.
And just kind of you, you know, kind of gave me some type of
thought here, you know, Speakingof, you know, that kind of, you

(13:36):
know, I don't it's I would say like, I don't know, a demon or
something. I know that they do that a lot.
But you know, out your way. Do they do they ever talk about,
you know, demons or anything outthere or or, you know, evil
spirits or anything that nature? Is that is that something that's
talked about? Or is it kind of, I know that
people on that, you know, you see on TikTok or whatever,

(13:57):
people talking about these, these spirits that are kind of
like, I wouldn't say possessed, but they're always, kind of
always around you. Have you heard anything like
that out that way? Not so much people calling them
a demon. I mean, I guess people in
different parts of the country have different words or

(14:17):
different titles for these spirits.
But they would just say like a like a evil spirit before they
would, you know, say a demon man.
Same thing I guess. But but yeah, they would always
be chalked up to an evil spirit or, or negative, negative energy
when they would, when they wouldtalk about it.

(14:40):
Same thing to me. I mean bad, bad's bad and good's
good, I guess. So I, so when I started this or
when I, when I, when I reached out to you to do an episode, you
know, throughout the entire entirety of the podcast, you
know, you've always had some pretty interesting insight and

(15:01):
comments made that I always found really interesting.
Is there anything that you know throughout the entire of the
podcast that you know, you know, you think about or you had
anything to, you know, that you wanted to talk about tonight?
Well, I want to start out by saying Miss Rebecca here
recently on your on your podcast, you bought the fire.

(15:24):
You bought the heat. That was that was pretty crazy.
And I was listening at work. I had I wear a hard hat at work
because the type of work it is. But I remember when she when she
disconnected that time and he just sitting there in silence
waiting for something to happen that's about ready to jump out

(15:47):
of my skin or something would have hollered or whatever.
Man, I was so, man, I was so shook.
I, I, I had, I had a minute to kind of gather myself because
she was getting into some, some,I mean, I believe it too, 100%.
Like anyone that heard that partof the episode, you know, I
believe it, but I I was pretty spooked out.

(16:08):
Was I seen that was worse for mebecause I was looking to you to
talk me down, to help me throughthis difficult time.
But it was cricket. I couldn't even believe it.
I was like man, and I sat there for like 10 seconds like.
Well dude, but she brought the fire, so if she listened to this

(16:32):
man, kudos. You know, you did good.
I had a couple of years ago, I guess it was I had heard of that
video footage. She was speaking about an old I
guess I won't name names but a guy that likes to make money
with the BFRO. I heard he had the footage, the

(16:57):
final footage and he was sittingon it and not going to release
anything for whatever reason. But you know how the rumor mill
goes. Could be true, could be made-up
I guess we'll probably never know.
I don't see footage though. Man, that's something too.
I was like, God, I wish I could see that.

(17:18):
I mean, I'd be wicked. I mean, just just you're trying
to, you know, see what's going on.
But one thing about that too is,you know, I had someone reach
out to me and I'm a little like inside baseball, I guess.
But I had someone reach out to me about, I apologize, we got

(17:39):
something going on in the background here.
But someone reached out to me was like, yeah, man, I'm I had
a, my brother worked at the, theBuffalo part of that and they
had seen multiple tracks, like big tracks.
And I guess, you know, they tookpictures of it.
And I asked him because if you guys on Patreon, I showed a bit

(18:04):
of a clip of that. I think it's on YouTube too.
I think I, I put it on there. But but of like them taking
pictures like after the fact andthere was a Bigfoot standing
kind of at the edge of the, the line.
Did you see that? I saw something like he was just
outside of where you could see good.
Yeah, I mean that was it was it was something else though.

(18:25):
But but no, I appreciate Rebeccacoming on and I like I said,
we'll be doing a Part 2. But you know, Speaking of
Bigfoot, I know you have had some interesting things.
I mean, do you, I guess, I guesscould you share some of those
stories that you have a Bigfoot?Yeah, sure.

(18:46):
I have a most recent one that you've not heard yet.
So this happened, this was a couple of weeks before
Thanksgiving last year. So we have here on the property,
we have a place designated in the backyard as a burn pile,

(19:08):
just like a, some rocks that make a perimeter.
Yep, burn boxes and things like that.
No plastics behind you, but justjust burn papers and, and junk
mail and and things like that. So it was cold, not that night.
And I went out, took some, some boxes out to burn and it was, of

(19:32):
course it was dark. It was in November.
It gets dark around 4:30 or fivehere that time of year and a
pile of boxes up and, and light them on fire.
And I'm standing there and it's,it's kind of cold.
So I'm, I'm really appreciating the warmth of that fire.
You know, it's, it feels good. So I'm kind of just basking, I'm

(19:55):
standing there with my eyes closed, just soaking up this
heat. It feels good.
And to my right, in the back part of my property, there's a
Creek. Across this Creek, I hear just a
single movement in the in the brush over there.

(20:15):
It's dried leaves, so it sounds louder than it should.
I guess I just hear a single, a single movement over there and
it's enough to make me open my eyes and look, you know, just
kind of glance over. I figured maybe it was, I don't
know, it's a small animal, possum or raccoon or something
out hunting food. And I didn't see anything.

(20:39):
Of course, I couldn't really seeover there.
Good. So I went back to my fire, you
know, just enjoying the warmth of the fire.
And I closed my eyes again and all of a sudden, this sounds
crazy, I know. But all of a sudden, from the

(21:01):
direction that that sound came, something ran towards me
quickly. And it was so apparent that
something was about to tackle meor or get me or or whatever.
It was so obvious to me that I jerked back and I clenched a

(21:25):
fist, getting ready to punch or try to, you know, try to defend
myself from whatever was was happening, whatever was coming
toward me. I mean, I heard the footsteps
coming toward me fast. Didn't have time to think of
what it could be. I just heard what I heard.

(21:46):
I reeled back with my fist clenched, getting ready to hit
this thing. And I almost hollered, you know,
had a surprise guy. You know how you react.
I open my eyes and there's nothing there.
There's nothing. After hearing what I I know

(22:10):
something stopped like 3 feet infront of me, but nothing was
there. No more sounds, no more
anything. Just nothing there.
And that, that doesn't compute, you know, I mean, you're

(22:35):
outside, no footsteps on the ground, comping something
running toward you, kind of likea horse.
But it doesn't make sense when you look where the sound is
coming from and there's nothing there.
Man. So I don't know what that was.

(22:58):
I'm wondering, man, if I that I've heard, you know, that's
just something that's so intriguing to me, you know, when
it comes to them, just like disappearing, you know, it just,
it just doesn't make sense, you know what I'm saying?
It to me it, it felt as real a presence running toward me as

(23:23):
like, say your buddy closes his eyes and, and you run toward
him. You know, you've, you had that
feeling that something is running toward you and you can
feel the wind when it stops. I felt the wind when it stopped,
but I don't know. I don't know what it was.
Man, 'cause I also wonder too, if it's one of those.

(23:47):
I don't know. What are they like those four
spirits out there, out there, You know, I know that they have
them. I know they say sometimes trees
can, you know, can do those things.
Do you think maybe it might havebeen one of them or you think it
might have been Bigfoot? Or somebody in the chat asked if
if you think it was Bigfoot or Dog Man.
For me personally, I have not saw a dog man here.

(24:13):
I've heard stories of them beingaround this area but I I
personally myself have not saw that.
The only thing close that I've found evidence of anything like
that attract a canine set of prints around Watauga Lake and

(24:36):
they were almost 8 inches aroundman, that was 2021 I believe it
was that was about fishing and Inoticed those those footprints.
So either somebody had a, there's only two prints in the
trackway. So I'm not sure.

(25:02):
I, I can't say that it was that,but I've never saw a, a dog
print for you trackers out there, you know the difference
between your cats and your dogs and your bear double steps and
all that stuff. That's the closest to experience
that I've had with with that guy.
I don't think I'd ever want to run into him either.

(25:26):
Probably not. I don't know.
I just think honestly, it may not sound like a kook, but I
think there's, we don't know anything really.
We don't know our planet, we don't know where atmosphere, we
don't know above and below. I don't think we know a whole
lot that really goes on here. You know, you Speaking of space

(25:53):
and all that stuff, have you guys had any drones out that
way? I've not saw any personally.
Excuse me, I've not saw anything.
My dad lives about two miles down the road and he said his
neighbor saw one, but I don't know.

(26:14):
Like I said, I've I've personally not saw anything
locally anyway. You know, it's oh, no, I'm
sorry. Go ahead.
Oh, I just, I've heard, you know, I'm sure we've all heard
the heard the stories and saw the pictures.
The thing now is it's so hard totell when you see a video or you
hear a story, what's real and what's made-up.

(26:37):
What's AI kind of hard to to distinguish?
Yeah, You think it's aliens? You think it's us?
I think we're the aliens. We're talking now.
There we go. I think maybe we're the aliens
because you look around the planet and we're they, we're the

(26:57):
ones that don't really fit in. So now we're all surprised when
when daddy comes back home. Who knows?
Man, yeah, see that is see, I've, I've kind of, you know,
I've kind of been on that Wavelink, you know, with the

(27:19):
drones and all that stuff and, and people saying they're coming
out from the oceans and, and they're flying for like, you
know, 24 hours, 48 hours, you know, some crazy amount of
hours. And to me, it's like, I don't
think we have nothing in our technology that is able to run
that long and be stationary likethat.

(27:41):
And for it to come out of the ocean, you know, is very
interesting to me. And I, you know, I have this
running theory and I got this. I started that that thought from
Russell Sun Eagle over at the Okie podcast Spirit talkers.
You know, he had mentioned that, you know, I think it might be
us. You know, I'm like, man, that's
interesting. And I was watching this show.

(28:04):
I don't know if you've seen it. It's called War of the worlds.
It's on MGM Plus, but it's a similar premise where like we
have basically evolved to the point where we can't reproduce
and we have to go back. It's that type of premise of a
show. And when I see these drones, I'm
like, man, that's I don't feel like it's not that far off, you

(28:26):
know? And that could be, I'd say we
probably won't find out for suretill it's too late.
Yeah, I know we'll be all looking at there's this
mothership, you know, like you seen on TV shows, people looking
at us, this big monster ship andyou're like, oh man, it's over.
Yeah, it's go time. But, you know, kind of getting

(28:48):
back to to Bigfoot and, you know, kind of that experience
you had kind of a weird encounter where they, you know,
where they disappear. And I've shared your story so
many times, you know, just in, in, in passing with people.

(29:09):
And because it's very intriguingto me with the camouflage thing,
you know, I was always told growing up, if you don't want to
be seen, you won't be seen. And one thing about this story,
and I'm going to have you, you know, you don't have to tell the
full thing. But could you briefly kind of, I

(29:29):
guess, you know, remind people if this is the very first
episode with you, This is like almost 2 / 2 years ago, you
know, can you or I guess almost two years ago, a year and a half
ago, but could you guys, could you remind people of that story,
you know, of that one that disappeared?
Yeah, I still then as time goes,I start to doubt it more.

(29:56):
I don't know if that's just my consciousness telling me that it
didn't happen or it just doesn'tmake sense for something like
that to happen. But anyways, for the for the new
listeners, I was going to work one morning, it was dark,

(30:17):
probably just a little bit before 5:00 AM.
And I was going down the highwayand I go around this right hand
turn and my headlights swept across a figure standing beside
the road opposite side of the road that I was driving on.

(30:39):
So it's on my left, headlights swept across it and it was just
a big hairy creature had long shaggy.
It was grayish in color, kind oflike a duct tape Gray, maybe

(31:03):
charcoal like a charcoal Gray like a light.
And the the hair hung over its face kind of looked matted
almost or it kind of made me think that the face was
disfigured for some reason because you couldn't make out

(31:27):
the features real good on its face.
But I was in shock the second that my headlights hit that and
it was standing beside of a fence beside the road and it
just kicked its right leg over the fence and then hauled its

(31:48):
left leg over following. It took that 2 steps and it
blinked. It blinked out, it wasn't there
anymore. And all this took place just
couple of seconds, 3 or 4 seconds and it just like a light

(32:09):
switch, it was gone. And there's nothing there but an
open field, a pasture for cattle.
The the same Creek that flows inmy backyard is back behind this
where this happened. So it's probably maybe 100 yards

(32:30):
away, but there's no trees or noditches or anything to duck in
or crawl around or it just, it just wasn't there anymore, is
the only thing I know to say about it.
Just stop being there, right? Yeah, I get goosebumps when you

(32:53):
tell that story, man 'cause it makes me think like, you know,
I, I've been on and I've, and I've said this a billion times,
but I'll say it again. You know, I just, I don't, it's
hard to explain. I think that they know medicine,
man and I, you may be able to explain it better than me, you
know, cuz I know, you know, Cherokees kind of, you know, we

(33:15):
kind of believe that they're almost like another tribe of
people, like another set of, youknow, different.
And when I say that now, people always ask me what do you mean
by people? And I'm like, it's not really
what I'm saying. I'm saying it's like a, they
have like a their social classeslike a clan or their social

(33:37):
interactions are like a clan. And is that, I guess, is that
kind of similar to what you've heard or what kind of what you
guess? What do you kind of believe that
they are? Yeah, that's the same thing
here. One of them, one of the Cherokee
words only window. Wahee.
The Mystic Tribe. The Hidden tribe supposedly when

(34:00):
our ancestors came in contact with these these things, it was
just as a matter of fact thing in the wood as a bear or a deer
or squirrel. It was something that was real
when it's out there and we were always taught to few saw one or

(34:24):
encountered one to just turn around and go back the way you
came. Because they don't like us
because we have how we have become in our ways in our
treatment of the planet. Not to get all hippie on anybody

(34:48):
the hang, you know, but it's just I've heard stories of the
creatures facial expressions filled with hate and spot and
you know that that would come from, hey, you're messing the
planet up, I guess. I mean, I don't know personally,

(35:11):
but that's what I was always told.
If you see one to turn around and walk away.
Yeah, it's a, you know, it's, it's a, it's interesting, you
know, to hear in different tribes kind of say the same
things. You know, I was always taught

(35:32):
kind of leave things, you know, as it was when you're in
somewhere it's, you know, not yours, sure to say, but you
know, you, you had some notes and I'm just kind of curious on
what, what kind of notes you had.
I'm sure you got some heat over there.
Well, I, I had to make some notes so I wouldn't forget

(35:53):
anything. And earlier when you first
contacted me, it's like, OK, yeah, I'll, I'll come on and
tell some stories. And all this whole time since
the second part, I'm like, yeah,I've got more stories to tell.
And then right before it's time,I'm like, what do I say?
I'm so nervous. So it hit me again.

(36:14):
But I've, I've had a chance to make a couple of notes here.
There was some clanging outside of my house one time recently.
I think I sent you an audio of that.
So this happened, it was just a month or so ago and I really

(36:39):
recorded an audio, like I don't know what confession or what the
word is, but just a documentation.
I wanted to document that so I would remember what happened it
it happens when you get older folks.
Sorry you're going to be there one day.

(36:59):
But anyway, I came outside one morning for work and there was a
loud clanging outside in my yard.
And I know the when I stepped out on the front porch and the
motion sensor light that we havecame on and the clanging

(37:23):
immediately stopped. I mean, and this was loud
clanging. It sounded like if you heard the
flagpole clang like the metal D hook or whatever to secure the
rope for the flag when it claimsagainst the flagpole, it makes
the clang sound. That's look, that's what I

(37:44):
thought of when I first heard it, but it was real loud.
And I don't have a flagpole. I don't have anything that
clangs in my yard. So this super loud clanging was
happening until my front porch slide came on and then it
stopped. And this whole time a dog's just
raising cane. He's just barking his head off.

(38:09):
And I just thought to myself, a soft something's out here again,
but. I'm even trying to think of what
that could be. I know, I know people have heard
a clanging noise when it refers to like a UFO maybe.
I mean, did you see any lights out there or was it just pitch?

(38:30):
I know it's probably pitch blackout there.
It it's what I call country dark.
So we don't have any St. lights are here.
So when you think of the blackest black that you can
think of, subtract a bunch more black from that, and that's
country dark. But yeah, didn't see anything.

(38:52):
No smells, no nothing, just six or seven clanks.
And it stopped when I opened thedoor and thankfully it didn't do
anything else. Yeah.
So I was cool with that and. Was it it's so it's like it was

(39:14):
like a metallic clang like and it did it echo at all?
Did like, you know, like something clangs and it kind of
the the sound kind of carries is.
Just a little, just a little bit, but not enough to make it
make me think that it came from far away.
This most definitely came from very close.

(39:35):
It wasn't something in the distance clanking, you know, and
and projecting an echo or something.
It was it was within 50 feet of where I was at.
If anybody in the chat, I'm kindof curious on, you know, if you
got, you know those you guys arelistening put in the chat if

(39:55):
you've heard anything like that before.
I'm kind of curious on if anybody else has heard something
like that. I've always heard it might have
been UF OS, but also to like I've heard I heard a story that
I guess this gets into some somedeep waters over here, but.
You know that it's related to Bigfoot in like them coming off

(40:16):
the UFO craft. Now, like I said, that sounds
crazy, but you know, there's been multiple reports of hearing
that sound, you know, referring to the aliens dropping the
bigfoots off or the dog man, whatever, whatever the hell that
you know, that theory is. But now that's very interesting.
I know you've you've sent me, you know, a few different, you

(40:37):
know, clips with, you know, different sounds.
I mean the one where your dog was, you know, basically you're
sitting there recording and it'sjust this loud roar.
Now you know, out where you're at.
I'm sure you probably hear all types stuff out there.
Yeah, growing up in in, in the mountains and areas like this.
I mean, it's like, I guess anybody else, if you grow up in

(41:00):
the city, you recognize city noises.
I mean, you grow up in the country and you recognize all
your noises as well, you know, get some cowdy packs running
through and that's your your tears breaking out and gurgling
and doing what they do. These straight up a fox will

(41:22):
scare you to death. If you don't know what it is,
you would you would swear that something crazy and alien is
going to get you. It's coming for you, but it's
only a fox. And look those up.
Those are pretty. I will say that's more of the

(41:43):
weirder type sounds comes from afox.
It's got Bobcats and got airs and scariest thing of all to
encounter at night, people, no joke.
But yeah, you get used to all the sounds and something

(42:03):
happens, something comes across abnormally like that and it's
pretty quick. You you make note of it pretty
quick. Something that's outside normal
and. I can't remember if I've asked
you this before, but I had somebody when I was in the Ozark
Mountains at Eureka Springs, staying out there with my wife.

(42:27):
Have you heard of any, Like, I don't hate to say this about
people, but like, you know, likehills have eyes people.
You have you heard anything likethat out your way?
I know that that's a especially in Appalachian Mountains, people
always kind of talk about that. Have you heard anything like
that? Like feral people.
Yeah, kind of like that. I've come across some

(42:50):
encampments locally, but as far as face to face encounters with
any kind of feral people, personally I have not.
I've heard plenty of stories right over the mountain here,
Maggie Valley, which is just right outside of Cherokee, NC.

(43:12):
There's talks of a lot of talk of peril people outside of the
mountains of Maggie Valley. And you know that for locals
that butts up right against the Koala boundary, which is the
East Urbana Cherokee Reservation.
But personally, I've not encountered, you know, face to

(43:35):
face. Like I said, I found camps, I
found trash, I found tracks. But as far as wild people like
those are all at Walmart. Dang you hit past 10:00 at
Walmart man. Yes Sir.

(43:56):
I used to laugh back in my college days and some everybody
knows I'm from originally from Tahlequah and you know, I used
to laugh. We we kind of just be people
watching, you know, a little bit.
And in high school too, we go out there that the Walmart, man,
when Walmarts are open 24/7 in Tahlequah, people get off the
river and it's dark, boy. They be they be they be lit up

(44:20):
man, just be looking crazy. Looks like he's got drug out of
the river. Damn, yeah, literally we all
just scuzzed up just looking horrific man.
God, but. Getting all mad because you
can't buy a beer after 3:00 AM. Oh yeah, you're like, hey, it's
only, you know, it's only 2 two O 1 and you look, it's like and

(44:43):
they're like man, it's like 430.Dang, where you been?
That's your mind. That time flies when you're
having fun, I guess. I guess yeah.
If you're, if you're a crackheadin the chat, man, I'm sorry.
I, you know, I mean to disrespect you like that.
No. Oh lordy.
Or if you listen to this on the back end, hey, you know, you

(45:07):
ain't, you can lie to us. You ain't got to say you're a
crackhead, you know, But you know, it's what it is.
But anyways, but you know, so this is, yeah, I've always heard
different weird things like that, you know, and the lady,
one of the bus ladies just and Ireally, that really kind of
spooked me out too. When she was telling us this, we
were taking a trolley towards downtown.

(45:28):
We were standing in a in a cabinand we, we, we meet up, you meet
up at this little central location where the trolley
starts kind of outside of town just a little bit in Eureka
Springs. And I asked her out, you know, I
just kind of, you know, asking, trying to get some spooky
stories, you know, just trying to, you know, see what's going
on in the town. And she goes, yeah, I haven't.

(45:50):
I said, I said, I think it's real spooky out here at night.
And she's like, yeah, yeah, justdon't take the purple trolley at
night. And I looked at my wife and
she's like, because she knew I was going to ask.
I said, why is there feral people there?
She goes, yeah, there's people out here that'll get you.
And she said it's so matter of factly, like, you know, like

(46:11):
it's, you know, something she tells all tourists and what not.
And I just was like, but you know, but Eureka Springs, I
don't know if you've ever have you ever, I guess.
Have you, have you ever been outthat way or have you been out
there? Because man, it's a, it's a,
it's a weird town, man, it's really weird.
It does give me, it does give meAppalachian mountain vibes

(46:34):
because there's so much like what they say witchcraft, new
age witchcraft in that town. Like every little shop that's in
the little nook and crannies be like a rock shop or a aura shop.
Or when I was talking to one of the the ladies at the the hotel
and she was telling me, I said, yeah, it says, I bet it's real

(46:55):
creepy in here, isn't it? At night.
She's like, yeah, I don't like really like working at night.
But especially like in off seasons, you know, like when
it's not quite popular, you know, it's not summertime.
All the, you know, everybody's out of school and all stuff.
But she was saying one night sheI don't know if I've ever told
the story, but she was saying, and you reminded me when we

(47:16):
started talking about this, but she was telling me she's like,
yeah, you know, at night sometimes on this balcony will
come out here and smoke or just talk or, you know, it's getting
real late, you know, about to close down.
It's real. You know, nobody's hardly in
here. And she says you'll see shadows
running from like alleyway to alleyway, like shadows, not
people, shadows. And she was telling me that they

(47:39):
do seances in different and you know, kind of underground
because it there's a tunnel underground, I think in that
town. But she would say basically
there's people doing these seances and these spirits are
trying to get to them, trying tofind a way to get to that
seance. I was like, how do you and I ask
her, how do you know that? She's like, I've been here too
long. I was.
Like, yeah, you know that if you're in bed by about 9:00, it

(48:06):
should be pretty good. Yeah, yeah, you should be.
But that's sometimes the night just creeps up on you.
Keep you got you got to, you gotto keep going.
And I always say, I always tell my wife I'm like, yeah, yeah.
The, the not as young. It's like 9:30 or they're like
the not young now, but they never, sometimes we're like,

(48:27):
man, we both always look at eachother and you know, 2, I got 2
little, little kids. And so it's like we, we'd look
at each other. So then, you know, it's 9:30 not
young. And we're like, yeah, you know,
not as young And about 1010 o'clock we like.
That's time to, it's time to pack it up.
Yeah, me and my wife say that sometimes, but it's like 7.

(48:47):
Yeah, Is he? Dang, it's still light outside,
man. What are you waiting on?
Santa Claus? I don't know.
Santa Claus just came, you know, trying to get in bed for them
presents. I'm not here.
Time waits for no man. No, not at all.
But I guess getting back to the spooky stuff, that's kind of

(49:11):
what happens when I talk to me and Derek start talking.
We start talking about things just being silly, I guess.
But but you know, one thing thatyou know, I'm kind of interested
to to know, have you heard any little people stories out that
way or you have any? But if you remember, I had an

(49:32):
incident with my car last winter, I think it was.
I do remember that. Yeah.
I was wondering about that so I could go ahead and tell
everybody, yeah, I'm a routine guy.
So every day I wake up and I do the exact same thing every day.

(49:53):
Get up, get ready, go to work. It's cold.
I go start my car, you know, getthat, get that heat going, get
the windshield defrosted in the back window cleared off.
And you know I don't nobody wants to ride in a cold car.
Ice scrapers are are for people that the defrosters don't work.

(50:18):
But this particular morning I stepped outside to to start my
car. I'm not sure what month this was
colder month, December, January, something like that.
But I stepped outside to start my car, same as I always do,
fire it up, windshield full blast, defrost on the rear
window, come back in and I get ready for work, get all my

(50:42):
stuff. You know, probably 10-15 minutes
I guess has passed since I started my car, so it should be
nice and toasty, you know, whilethe wind is cleared, the ice,
dawn and all that good stuff. So come out, lock my door behind
me, keep my spare key on me, just to lock the door for when I
start my car 'cause you know, the house keys on the car key

(51:05):
too, but I've got one on my packanyway.
Lock the door behind me, walk tothe car, start to get in.
Door's locked. Car door's locked, Car's running
back door locked, passenger front back door locked.

(51:27):
What? You got to have the key fob to
lock the door and the keys inside the car.
So there's not This never happened before.
First time ever and I've had that car forever.
That's my baby. 7-8 years never happened and I could be making

(51:53):
this up. I could be in my head but I
swear I could have heard just a little giggle from the woods.
It was right beside my house. I thought I heard like a little
snicker and I had to go beat on my bedroom window to wake my

(52:14):
poor wife up at at 4:50 AM. Let me in the half and get a
spare key to unlock my car and the video I sent you.
I know I was looking on my security cameras for the car
door opening to see if I caught anything on camera, but I never

(52:37):
did never never saw the car dooropen or anything.
So for some crazy reason that itlocked itself and a tree laughed
at me. I don't know.
Well, yes, one thing about those, the the code, you know,
cars with the key fob there, they don't lock unless you
manually lock it, like unless you like open the door, lock it

(52:59):
on purpose. Yeah, you know, they don't.
When the keys inside it doesn't lock, it won't lock.
So that's what that's interesting.
Yeah, the car will will. The car will lock itself when
you put it in drive, but it's inthe driveway.
And and did you, I can't remember, did you, did you have
a handprint or something on thattoo?

(53:20):
I did. I thought I had a little bit of
a handprint on the window. I couldn't really make it out
too good to say definitely, you know, because.
I remember it was like a it looked like little 4 little
fingers, you know I'm saying like it looked like but the
there was no palm basically. Yep.
Yep, 4 fingertips. Yeah, yeah, it was like you

(53:42):
could see like the first, like, you know, like when you bend
your finger, it the the top partbends, but the, you know,
obviously it's connected to yourhand.
I remember you sending me that picture and it was like 4 little
like, you know how our hand like, you know, like this
basically this if you're seeing it's like this, this part right
here, this part. Yeah, that's weird, man.

(54:04):
That's what I thought. Yeah, 'cause and Dang, it could
have been, it could have been just the fingers there was
pressing up against the, you know, locking it on you.
Yep. And they do those things.
Let's that would sound like an LP prank to me.
From what I've heard, that sounds like a classic LP prank.

(54:27):
Something usually when I say LP prank.
For those of you who are unknownabout this, imagine your college
buddy or your high school buddy messing with you and playing a
prank on you. A lot of times that's what the
LP's would do, just kind of messwith you.
It's not harmful or or anything.I guess it kind of would be

(54:50):
harmful if I didn't have a sparekey, but they they seem to like
to mess with you. It's kind of a loud hearted kind
of way. I don't know.
I'll tell you something that just happened, like last night.
I think it was last night or night before.
So we're in the middle of potty, potty training my oldest.

(55:10):
And you know, sometimes it's rough people, everybody out
there can can agree, but we were.
So I had just gotten up or my wife had gotten them.
I can't really remember. It's kind of a blur, but but we
have this picture frame that's next to the, the, the I'm trying

(55:32):
to think of what that is. It's like a bookshelf type
thing. It's real tall.
It like goes all the way up to the ceiling.
It's like, you know, it's almostas tall as the ceiling.
And then, you know, I put my doctor, Geez, I'm losing my
doctor cedar on there. And I have my my grandpa's kind

(55:55):
of this pillow blanket that's made out of his shirt, one of
his shirts, and I don't see my thing, my feathers in there too.
I can't remember, but it might be, but but I put it up there at
the very top so nobody can mess with it.
I used to have friends and try to mess with that stuff on my
buddy here. I was like, you're in for it,
man. But so you know, I'm laying

(56:15):
there and I'm kind of you ever just kind of be asleep, but
you're not really asleep like you're, you're almost like
you're like in a haze kind of. And I'm I'm laying there and all
sudden I hear this and I I kind of turn over and I hear this
bang and it was like a boom And I was like, what?

(56:36):
And I kind of like, you know, kind of shook me back into kind
of AI was kind of more awake. But I look over and I'm kind of
like looking at my wife. I thought she fell down like I
ain't trying to tell on her. But Dang, one night she's
getting out with one of the kidsand Dang, Dang nearby killed
herself tripping over her own clothes because she don't pick
them up. But no, but, but, but I thought

(57:00):
she fell down again. So I kind of look and I don't
see anybody standing up or, you know, I don't see nothing, but I
kind of look and she kind of looked and like she kind of got
up for a second and I could tellshe's looking at something.
But something knocked off the wind.
The the picture off the wall basically just like it.
Like they just kind of plucked it off the, you know, it's

(57:22):
hanging on a little nail and like they just pushed like this.
Someone just kind of flipped it off the wall and it hit and it
was so stinking loud. That's I was, it was like a
gunshot sound like, you know, real close because we have a
wooden, hard wooden floor that it hit and it hit right on the
corner where it was real the loudest.
But I'll be wondering if that issomebody, you know, I always get

(57:44):
kind of weirded out, especially when I have this podcast that I
talked to a lot of people about stuff, spooky stuff, especially
if I may get to them, like at 9:30 at night, 10:00.
But those, you know, I was talking to, I ain't trying to
blame nobody, but I'm just saying, you know, I'm just like,
man, maybe it's just talking about the spooky stuff at night.
Maybe, you know, but that scaredme.

(58:07):
I was like, man, yeah, like it'sreal scary.
But I don't have a lot of weird stuff like that.
Maybe I'll talk about it. But but, but they do those
things, they kind of mess with you a little bit.
Kind of like just setting yourself up for a spook.
Yep. Once you get all spooked out, it
doesn't take much more to push you over the edge.

(58:32):
Man, let's get back to your notes, man.
What other notes you got? I'm, I mean, I'm kind of
curious. I know you got some stuff on
there that I know you're you're kind of.
You'll. Let us know.
One day, not today, one day I'm going to run out of storage.
How about I got 1 Keely Wasa? You know, like those Keely.

(58:56):
Yeah. Skeely wasa.
We have a skeely wasa here. Cherokee ghost cat.
My wife knows this story all toowell because she's also part of
it. So this skeely wasa, this ghost
cat predates my marriage. So I was living alone, single,

(59:22):
in my own house, and I started when I would lay down to sleep
at night. I would feel something small,
kind of jump in the bed and takea few steps, you know, a few
small steps, lay down. So for people that have cats,

(59:43):
it's just like your cat came to bed with you, just walks up a
little bit and sleeps by your feet or by your legs, cuddle up
with you. And so this was this was a my
other house was a couple hours away from where I live now.

(01:00:05):
So this Gilly has followed ME3 houses, 4 houses.
It's always done the same thing. And I told finally told my wife
about it. Actually it was then my
girlfriend about it. Of course, I waited a little
while after we met to tell her this.

(01:00:28):
I didn't want her to think it was too crazy.
You know? That's not something you want to
say on a first date. Hey, by the way, I've got a
ghost cat. But as the as the true soldier
that she always is, she took it with a grain of sand and
accepted it. And finally he came to

(01:00:52):
experience the same thing that Idescribed.
He says he lay down in bed completely random.
It's not set on any certain timeor day or month or anything like
that. It just feels like a cat jumps
up with you and takes a few steps, does a turn, plops down.

(01:01:17):
And I've never saw anything withthis phenomenon.
To me, it feels like a cat and calling it a cat is a lot better
than thinking about what all else it could be.
But she said to me a few times, hey, the ghost cat is here.

(01:01:39):
I can't just just relax. But it never does anything, you
know, just jumps up in bed with you and and lays down.
And we've all known it, you know, all of our marriage, it's
been with us as it was with me before we were married.

(01:02:00):
It's just waste of Keely, a ghost cat.
So I think for all you people that have cats, you know, cats
are native too because they all run on Indian time.
They do what they want, when they want.
Yeah, that's that's ghost cat. We're our family is well known.

(01:02:26):
We understand what he is and no harm, no foul as far as he goes.
Does what he wants, just like every other cat.
I don't, I don't know if it was a previous cat that I owned that
came back and wanted to cuddle or what, but it's, it is what it

(01:02:50):
is. You know, it's so CKS, it's so
scary. Someone's in the chats asking
did I guess do you, do you? You had multiple cats in the in
the in the past before this or has just always been there like
from the time you were a little guy?
No, this came to me when I was, I guess mid 20s, I guess mid to

(01:03:15):
early 20s, maybe 2324, it started happening.
I had one outside cat, which wasn't mine.
He just came to me as a stray. He just hung out for a few days
and left. But there was no ever any
definite pet as a cat. You know, I didn't really have a

(01:03:35):
favorite cat or, or you know, I didn't have a Mr. Whiskers or
anything like that. It's just completely random.
You have any relatives that had cats that you know that they
loved? Grandmother or somebody?
No, not really. We've kind of always been kind
of dog people, but I apologize to chat if I'm not acknowledging

(01:04:01):
or answering questions. It's my first time doing this in
this format so I'm not sure whatto look at here.
No, it's all right. I can I read it for you?
I guess. While we're talking about chat,
let's go all the way up to the beginning here.
Audacious Amber. How's it going?
Paramedic? How's it going?

(01:04:23):
Miss Rebecca's in the chat. How's it going?
Miss Rebecca? I'll be hitting you up for a
Part 2 here in the next probablyweek or so.
OK, Pi, he asked a question to you a little bit ago.
Have you seen the movie? Nope.
Nope. Not that I know of.

(01:04:43):
You'd have to ask my wife what movies I saw.
It was a Jordan Peele movie. It was a one that was a kind of
alien movie. It was like about a couple
ranchers or something. I haven't seen it in years.
Not that I know of. Like I said, you'd have to ask
my wife. I could watch a movie and a week
later I'll show her previews to a good looking movie that we

(01:05:04):
should watch and she's always like we saw that already.
I don't know if you make it up or not, but I believe her.
Miss Rebecca asked you, you know, when it comes to that
metal clanging, is it Bigfoot hitting rocks together?
It doesn't sound like a rock. It it straight up.

(01:05:27):
It sounds like you got a metal flagpole and you got one of
those D clamps that secure the rope for the for the for the
flag to run up. Clang clang clang.
Just straight up like that hollow little decline, slapping
up against it loud. Oh yeah, go ahead.

(01:05:50):
OK, sorry, one other quick story.
I came outside one time, just similar to that.
Another noise, something slammedmy neighbor's trash can lid down
hard the second I stepped outside and ran away.

(01:06:14):
So I opened the door. It's a very distinct sound.
You know, you got the big garbage can, the big plastic.
It's just, you hear it running away.
I don't know if that was, but I got to thinking it's like, what?
What slams the lid? Sad raccoon problems for a

(01:06:35):
minute with my trash can until Ifound a way out to keep them out
of my trash can with a cable andA and a clamp so I know it
wasn't mine but whatever. Whatever it was slammed my
neighbors trash can, lit down and ran away back behind their

(01:06:56):
house. Man, Speaking of a trash can
lids paramedic said David Wilbanks, the BFRO investigator
who investigated the casino incident, recorded what sounded
like a metal bucket being clanged around in the in the
mountains. It could have.

(01:07:18):
Yeah. Yeah, it, it could have
something. Yeah, it means something.
Something making a metal clanging out in the middle of
nowhere. Well, when there's I'd highly
doubt that there's metal laying around in the woods unless you
know somebody littered. Yeah.
Pyromedic said on Scott Scott Carpenter's I guess You, you,

(01:07:39):
You recording of two beings arguing.
They said that there was a metallic sound in the background
and that is the first that I heard I recorded.
That's interesting. I think I may have heard that.
Let's see here, OK? P says.
LP took a bunch of deli meat outof my locked car once.

(01:08:01):
I wanted my chicken strips too. Yeah, I ain't just be starved
down out there. You.
Tell your nugget didn't need no dipping sauce.
Did he? No, just straight meat, man.
That's what they want. Ain't no rants needed.

(01:08:22):
Mayhem Beating. Hey, shut up.
Mayhem Beating just moved out toTahlequah out in the middle of
nowhere sounds like. But I know she got some stuff
going on out there or they got some stuff going on her her
husband. But Mayhem beating says we had a
cat die and we could feel a cat jump in bed at night in here.

(01:08:45):
Soft meows occasionally after a few months.
After that for a few months and then it stopped.
Well, interesting. Yeah, I've never heard any
meals. Yeah, it's a it's interesting,
you know, especially new animals.
This was kind of wondering if you had like a grandma or
somebody who was a cousin or, you know, or somebody who was

(01:09:10):
close to you because they I've heard this too, you know, very
not very many times, but I've heard this kind of not really
natives, but just kind of with animals in general that, you
know, these animals when they pass, they never really leave
you. But also to it also could be a
relative. You know, I know we, I've talked

(01:09:31):
about owls in the past, you know, I've heard, you know,
different things that could be relative, you know, or a
messenger of sorts. I know, you know, I have, you
know, I had an Ant that used to see hummingbirds.
And, you know, one time she saw, like she said, it was like 50
hummingbirds. And you don't ever see
hummingbirds, you know, more than a couple of them at a time.

(01:09:54):
But, yeah, they were outside just, you know, flapping their
wings. You know, she was thinking it
was probably a past relative. So, you know, I wonder if it
might have been somebody who maybe, you know, could have been
down the line, you know, maybe four times great grandpa or
grandma who, you know, is comingback to check on you.
I kind of wondered that, especially if you, especially if

(01:10:16):
you never had a cat and it just started showing up, you know,
when you was in your 20s. Yeah, it could be anything
really. You know, it's hard.
Hard to say. Yeah.
At that, at that point in time in my life, all I did was work
and things that I weren't supposed to be doing.

(01:10:38):
Yeah, that's that's usually whenthey start showing up though.
I, I noticed that too for me as well, you know, when I was
especially my 20s man, you know, you, I kind of, it's almost like
I kind of was like not really focused on, you know, things I
like kind of some things, you know, pass.
And as I got, as I'm getting older, I'm not, like I said, I'm

(01:11:00):
not. I'm in my, I'm 30, turn 30 this
year. That's good to say back in your
20s, maybe just like five years ago.
Yeah, that was like, it was literally like a year ago.
But like, I remember like I'm like, I'm really talking about
my early 20s. Like when you turn, you know,
you're 2021, you know, but as I've gotten older, like
throughout my 20s, now I'm 30, you know, it's, it's just it's

(01:11:23):
like a perspective. When you start having kids, you
start seeing grandparents get older and, you know,
grandparents passing away or a relative that passes away or,
you know, it's just, it puts it all in perspective.
So I was, I was wondering if they're, you know, they're
always kind of watching, you know, in some form or fashion.
Well, you know, they're in our culture, they're said to, you

(01:11:45):
know, they passed to the West and they become part of our
ancestral team really to watch and God and, and all that good
stuff. So who knows?
Yeah. And or you know some of those,
you know some of those eastern, I guess you say cultures out

(01:12:09):
kind of you know Asian cultures, they kind of believe in
reincarnation. Not really Asian, but you know
those are those you know those eastern, you know countries in
the world Eastern from us I get or if the world's flat it just
right over. I don't know, but y'all can
y'all can decipher that for yourself.

(01:12:29):
But, you know, they always talk about reincarnation and yeah,
you've, you've had different kids, you know, people come
through and be like, yeah, you know, I remember when I died.
It's like what? Or like they'll have a birthmark
where, you know, like one kid inlike back in the 80s.
I don't know if anybody in the chat remembers this or can
correct me if I'm wrong in the 80s or 90s.

(01:12:51):
But he basically was telling people that he had died by like
a axe or something. And he was just like, yeah, this
is where it happened. And he had like a little
birthmark where he said it happened.
You know, it's kid, you know, sometimes, you know, kids be
telling, you know, telling tall tales, but I don't know.
It's definitely it's it's interesting.
I these are those are one of thequestions.

(01:13:11):
I I like. Sometimes I'll lay awake at
night just kind of getting that last little thought out, you
know, before I, before I go to sleep, you know, type of thing.
Oh yeah, it's easy when it hits you the hardest, when you don't
need it too. Yeah, so.
So you have A and you got skilly.
You got skilly Cat spoke. You know stories you have or

(01:13:35):
anything like that? Well, I do have a.
Story that Co worker told me nottoo long ago you know your Co
workers, you you you bond with people of black mind and
sometimes you wouldn't just go tell somebody outside of your

(01:13:57):
circle. I guess what it is certain
things of your story. So this this young man comes to
me and he is telling me he's having a party at his house one
night, this younger gentleman, Hispanic gentleman.
And he said we're out on the back porch, I guess overlooking

(01:14:21):
the parking lot. It's apartments that he lives
in. And he said there's surrounded
by forest here and they, him anda friend are standing outside
and they see I'm trying to make sure I get this right the way he
told me they see a deer. In the woods and.

(01:14:44):
They see it just for a second and it darts up into the woods
and they look to the left. Of them, of their.
Porch and they see what they think.
Looks like a person in a ghilliesuit laying down.
This is the direction that the deer ran.
So they see the deer and it runsoff into the woods and to their

(01:15:07):
left and they see, he said it looks like a man in a ghillie
suit. He said.
That's what I thought it was just a dude laying there in a
ghillie suit, like full camouflage, you know, bushcraft.
And then they go downstairs the the stairs twist around, you

(01:15:29):
know about there's one section that you have to go down and
then you do 2 left turns and go down a second set of steps to
get down to the bottom level of this apartment complex because
they want to go see what this dude is doing.
They're laying in the woods and he said they get to.
Where he was laying. And there is nothing there but a

(01:15:52):
log, just a big log, he said. And there's no way that I could
mistake a person for a tree. And then his friend over to.
The right of him says they see the deer run off again into the

(01:16:14):
woods. I know that don't make a lot.
Of sense, but that's the way he told me.
I just thought it was kind of weird and he was kind of alarmed
when he told me about it just. He said it was plain as they
there. Was a thing there?
What was that? Sorry, that's my dog barking.

(01:16:34):
He's every little. Noise it makes around here, he
starts barking. Dang, I know that scared you.
You're getting kind of got me a little bit dog man.
What? Bad.
Rest in peace to the headphone users.
I know, man. That was he's right.
He's. Literally laying right here and
he gets real. He's real scaredy cat.

(01:16:56):
He's a half. He's a well, I don't know if
he's happy. I don't really know what he's
half with, but he's he's a GreatPyrenees mix and but any type of
bump, he just gets all I'm goingto get him hard and he's the
season he, you know, gets all scared.
But yeah, for everybody listening and I'm sorry if that
got you, because it kind of guy was like man, because I heard

(01:17:17):
you getting up like he was aboutto go after something, but I had
to snap at him. But but that's interesting, you
know, that deer did they did didjust like a normal deer.
Was there like a Yeah, nothing. Nothing weird about the deer.
They just. Said it ran over to where they
saw a man laying with Achilles suit on and they, they, like I

(01:17:40):
said, they went down to two flats, I guess upstairs to get
to the ground level and they went over and it wasn't, it was
a log. It's like this person changed
into a log and then to a deer. But he was spooked.
I don't know. I was, I was kind of, I don't

(01:18:01):
know how to take that one. You know, sometimes things can
can appear differently when you're spooked or expecting
something, you know, but I just thought it.
Was interesting he. Thought it was interesting.
So he's he's, he sought me out to tell that story too.

(01:18:23):
And it's like, oh, I said not tolose you.
I shouldn't say that because it's dark.
I'm going to smoke off. After this.
Man, you have to have to really start sending them them.
Prayers out man. Oh I'm, I'm definitely smoking
off after tonight. Right here, just in, right after
this is done. Yeah, yeah, it's.

(01:18:46):
I mean. There's I've heard different.
Weird. Stories like that, where where
people see something and then something else steps out like it
goes in. Because to me, what doesn't make
any logical sense is why would something, you know, walk into
somewhere and then, you know, come out a different, you know,
and it and something else come out the exact same way that it
comes that went in like to the woods or whatever.

(01:19:07):
Yeah. You know, it's really
interesting. Wouldn't didn't Bigfoot teach
Harjo? To become a tree stump.
Yeah. Yeah, he did.
Yeah. Yeah.
On that actually I was hiking once on Little Oak Mountain up
in. Sullivan County here in
Tennessee, and I was nearing thetop.

(01:19:29):
Actually, I wanted to go scope out for some fishing spots
'cause this one Little Oak Mountain Trail was supposed to
parallel the lake. So I was I was scoping some
fishing spots and to my left this was in.
Blake fall so. Every little step you made

(01:19:49):
sounded like a a bulldozer goingthrough the forest.
Anyway, no sound to my left. I catch movement out of the
corner of my eye, a big movement.
And I turned and looked and. The movement was.

(01:20:10):
A tree branch. I think I sent you that picture
and it looked like it looked like a Bigfoot sitting on a
tree, but something was moving over there.
I'm not sure why or what that was, but something that I took

(01:20:36):
note of. You know, not really enough.
To spook me out, really. But just something to catch your
eye, you know, you, you have what, 170° peripheral?
So something kind of barely skirts that outside of your
peripheral vision. You know, it's usually something

(01:20:58):
to check out. But they also say the spirit
will move just outside of your peripheral vision, just at the
corner of your, I have heard. That.
Yeah, but I'm I'm not sure what. That was, but I took a picture.
Excuse me? Yeah, It's, it's, it's
definitely. You know you.

(01:21:20):
I mean, that's one thing too, ifyou.
Guys like say go. Listen to the first two parts
Tales from the Trail Part 1 and Part 2.
He's a, He's always hiking, always out in, in different
parts of, you know, Tennessee and, and different parts out in
the woods nearest home. And one thing that you had kind

(01:21:40):
of mentioned before when we weretalking, especially during the,
that hurricane, you know, I'm kind of, this is going to get a
little conspiracy. I'm, I'm kind of changing,
switching courses here because I'm kind of curious, you know,
do you think that something was going on, you know, during that
the relief part of that, and this is totally off topic, but

(01:22:02):
I'm just kind of curious on whatyou, what you kind of what you
think. I personally so no, I can't.

(01:22:25):
Say that I got to be careful what I'm saying.
I'm, I just need to be careful here because I don't want to say
anything that's not true. You know, people will see videos
and they will hear things and they will repeat them as truths.
And if what you're seeing isn't true, then you're repeating a

(01:22:47):
lie. There was a lot of.
Things happen during that time that didn't make sense to me.
What I saw personally. First of all, Tennessee and
Western North Carolina, we're not supposed to have hurricanes.

(01:23:11):
That's just not a thing for us. It never has been.
I was at work that Friday morning that Helene hit the area
and we have big. Garage doors at work.

(01:23:31):
And I watched that storm go through the area and to be
honest, I wasn't. Really impressed.
With the severity of that storm,I'd seen it rain harder.
I'd seen the wind blow harder. One thing to say though, it had

(01:23:52):
rained steady for three or four days prior to that, so we were
pretty much soaked, really good soaked before that hit.
But the actual storm itself wasn't that impressive from what
I saw. And one thing that was weird to

(01:24:13):
me was after it passed, you could look outside and it was.
It looked like the most beautiful summer day you could
imagine. No clouds in the sky.
I mean, if you just looked at the sky, it looked like a
perfect day for a picnic. Nothing was going on.

(01:24:36):
It seemed peaceful. And then you you look at the.
That what happened. Below the sky.
My town is Elizabeth in Tennessee.
That's that's my home. It's always been my home.
That town was was hit really hard and it's still a mess.

(01:25:02):
The other, the main bridge in town is closed.
You have to go on these. All these back roads.
To get from one part of town. To the other.
There were a lot of trees down from my work to my house.
If I would have left right before or during the peak of the

(01:25:26):
storm, I I wouldn't have made ithome for the trees.
My property personally. We didn't get flooded, but we
did have a few trees down that Ihad to to deal with, but
nothing. Nothing major, but there were.
Just some weird things. Some weird.
Rumors that were going around see the town of Irwin, Tennessee

(01:25:50):
was hit very hard. And that is, I can say that part
of my home too. That's, that's my fishing spot.
That Nova Chucky river up there. You know, I'd, I'd told the
stories of before on the previous episode of fishing on
the Nova Chucky River. But that's like this all, like

(01:26:12):
my home ground and that town wasburied under 4 feet of mud.
It was hit very hard. People's homes floated down the
river, man. You know it's.
A. It's a.

(01:26:32):
It's just I. Know there's a like I said you
said. You mentioned before just now,
you know, they say there's a lotof weird occurrences that
happened during that time. And I'm glad that you, you made
it out safe. And I'm glad that, you know, and
you know, I know you. And so it's like I'm, I'm glad
that you're, that you made it through.
You know, I, I told you that then I'll tell you that now.

(01:26:54):
I'm glad that you're, you know, everything's all right.
I appreciate it. There's a, there's a go ahead.
I'm sorry. Oh, sorry.
There's a lot of rumors of the lack of support that that came
late or was insufficient when itdid come.

(01:27:18):
I can say that it took five daysto get anything here locally.
And like I said, I don't know ifthat was because of all the red
tape or paperwork, you know thathas to be filled out, but if

(01:27:39):
your home. Floats down the river.
And you're sitting there lookingat your wife and kids wondering
what you're going to tell them to make them feel better.
Five days is not exactly 5 days. But like I said, there's a lot
of rumors floating around. I did see there was a delay in

(01:28:03):
relief and a lack of relief havepersonally.
Known. Of people being turned away that
came to help, we're told not to help.
Told to get. Out and were threatened with the
rest. So for whatever reason that

(01:28:26):
happened, I don't know and all Ican say is it it could have been
handled better and the people that are still handling it to
this day are the locals. The locals came.
Together, and they're still coming together.
To help each other and Appalachia doesn't need the

(01:28:47):
government. So there you go.
Well put. I appreciate that and.
Before we wrap this. Thing up I want.
To thank everybody who's who's joining the the chat and I'll
I'll set it at the very beginning.
I'll say it here, hit the like button and then leave a comment.
Let let us know you know, the, the episode and what you thought

(01:29:10):
and or if you have anything thatyou might want to add, do it in
the comments. I appreciate everyone who, who,
who does that because it does help the channel out and it does
help you know, the podcast out. I think I lost Derek there.
But you know. I, you know, I said.
I, I've talked to Derek for, forquite a while and you know, oh,

(01:29:36):
there he is. And, you know, I appreciate him.
He always reaches out about everything.
And I'm glad that he he made it through all right.
And I'm glad that he was able tojoin me tonight.
Before we go, before we go, Derek, do you got any other
stories? Last minute stories?
Or. And really, I was end my

(01:29:57):
interviews with what what is a scare?
What is It doesn't have to be something spooky.
It could be something just everyday, you know, in your life, you
know, has there been everything, any, any stories that really
scared you well. Once one of them.
Maybe maybe one of the only benefits of getting a little bit

(01:30:17):
older is you don't spook is easybecause you that seen everything
or you think you saw everything. But I will say one time I
believe that maybe I was kidnapped in a dream.
I hope this may sound weird. People will sometimes talk about

(01:30:47):
like that alien, what is it kidnapping or like being
abducted, abducted by aliens or what have you.
But what if that's not a physical thing?
Maybe that could be just a mental episode like you can.

(01:31:11):
They have the power to hijack your thoughts in your minds to
make you believe something? I don't know but.
One time. I feel like.
Maybe that I was kidnapped in a dream do.
You remember who did it? I couldn't see my abductors.

(01:31:35):
It was more. It it wasn't forceful feeling,
it was I was being escorted by them.
There were two of. Them I do know that because.
I felt, I felt their presence and it.
Was almost like they were a. Tour guide for my experience and

(01:32:00):
they were showing me things and I could ask questions and they
would answer them and I don't know this.
Kind of kind of hard to put into.
Words, really. It was.
It was realer in my life felt, at least at the time.

(01:32:25):
It felt more real to me than what we know is real.
But I was in. I was in that.
Stone temple it. Was dark and kind of musky and
wet. It almost reminded me looking
back at it as you know, the old Mortal Kombat movies where they

(01:32:46):
were in like the temples, you know, the dog shall in temples
that big stones and it was a a really big room open with high
ceilings. It was kind of rounded and I
couldn't see who I was talking to, but these, the words, the

(01:33:07):
conversation was happening inside my head.
I guess you could say, but I wasasking, I guess my tour guides.
If you want to call them. That I was asking them while
we're here and you know, just all the questions that you would

(01:33:29):
want to ask of if you encounter a superior being, you know what
the meaning of life and all that.
But now this is. What they told me.
This is not me speaking, this iswhat they said.
So I don't want to offend anybody.
And this gets just a little religious.

(01:33:51):
So I don't want to offend any religion.
No matter what you believe in, that's your personal, that's
your, yes, your thing. It's not for me to judge you.
And call you wrong or right. So I'm just going to tell you
what I was told in my encounter. So these.
My tour guides. I'm going.

(01:34:11):
To call them that told me that we were created, that mankind
was created to perfection. We are perfect in every way
possible, but we were put in these bodies to experience
limitations, to know boundaries. You know your physical.

(01:34:37):
As you grow old, your body wearsout.
That's the. Reason why we were put in these.
Bodies is for the experience to experience this, this world and
this life, and to have an understanding of what it feels
like to be limited. That we were perfect.

(01:35:00):
We could do anything that we could dream of.
We could imagine flat, levitate objects.
Whatever you can think of, you can do it.
It's what they've told me and I remember.
How? Distinctly asked them.
Said What about all the religions of the world?

(01:35:22):
Which one is right? Which one is wrong?
This is the part where I'm not trying to if anybody, it's just
what I was told or Joan or what my dream said.
They said all of them are right and none of them are right.
They were to help mankind understand and to have peace

(01:35:50):
with what they could have understand that religion doesn't
matter. It's just something that we
have, I guess, created to to help us cope with our
misunderstanding or lack of understanding of the afterlife.

(01:36:12):
And that's pretty much that experience, man.
And that was, like I said, that was, and it came as real to me.
As my alarm. Clock sitting here beside the
bed. Where did they what?
How old were? You when this happened.
Oh, that. Was just like a couple of years
ago. I mean, that I woke up and I was

(01:36:34):
like, perplexed. I was shocked and amazed and
whoa, you know, I was blown away.
Wow. Something to think about, I
guess. I don't know.
No. Yeah, I'm gonna.
Yeah, I'm definitely gonna be thinking about.
That one tonight, I mean, it kind of makes sense, I mean.
I don't know, maybe we're looking for a peaceful

(01:36:58):
understanding of the afterlife. I mean, there's.
You know, outside of. Faith.
What proof is there of anything really?
Like I said, I don't want to offend anybody, any religious
people or anything like that. It's just what what how it
happened to me. But yeah, I thought that was

(01:37:21):
kind of kind of interesting. Yeah, man, I always enjoy
talking. To you, man, I, I appreciate
you, you, you coming on and, and, you know, telling us some
stories and you know, and that last story and that last, you
know, dream IA 100%. I don't know what I I don't

(01:37:46):
someone, I had someone who was telling me that you know that
religion says, you know, like I.Said I'm I.
Am I'm not, I'm not one to believe in secular religion when
it comes to churches and things like that, because it's just
never got a good feeling from it.
But, you know, I believe that there's a higher power.

(01:38:06):
I believe that there's somethingout there that guides us and
helps us make it through, you know, this life, you know,
through the, the bump, bumpy roads and, and there's something
to dreams. I I don't know what.
It is. But something, there's something
about dreams and and. But with that being said.

(01:38:29):
Man, I appreciate you. I appreciate you joining me
tonight, man. I know it's a little late.
I know it's 9 almost 9:00 there or 10 o'clock 941 real quick and
other. Detail to add to that story.
My tour guides, I guess I call them, They said that in our

(01:38:49):
present state of mind, we were unable to understand what
Creator is. It's not.
You know, it's not a a man, it'snot a woman.
It's not we don't have a word for for what that is.
We we can't understand what it is right now.

(01:39:14):
And the they always say, you know, you only use 10% of your
brain because we forgot how to use the 90%.
They said that the other 90% is for later.
Yeah. I mean, I meant to write all the
stuff down. I told a couple of people I work

(01:39:36):
with. They were as perplexed as I was.
I thought it was pretty cool. Kind of.
Yeah. That is pretty cool.
That's A and like I said, I think there's.
Something to dreams and I think that we, there's a reason why we
need to sleep. You know, I don't, you know,
people can go biology, science, but you know, I, I like to, I

(01:40:00):
like to think a little, a littlebit more on the, you know, I
would say the supernatural. I mean, you know, you divide
that word up or you make it intotwo words.
It's supernatural because it, you know, it is.
You know, it could be supernatural, but yeah.
But Derek, I appreciate you. You joining me man, I

(01:40:20):

with me and telling some of yourstories.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
