(00:02):
Very, very dangerous if you spotty since, you know, I was
like, something's off. I'm just like, man, I'm waiting
to hear something you know what's going on guys and welcome

(00:29):
to war Cry War Cry podcast live, man.
I'm going through it right down, guys going through it.
Power went out here and I guess W Oklahoma City.
I don't know what's going on butit's roasting in my house and so
I still thought I'd jump on hereand you know still make sure
y'all was taken care of making sure y'all got spooked out

(00:50):
tonight. But I appreciate the you know if
you guys listen to this on the back end later on tonight we're
going to be you know we're not gonna go very long.
I like to keep I like keep it was it the phrase it's ongoing
that with the podcast is I'm nothere for a good time here for a
long time or is it opposite anyways that matter.

(01:12):
But so you know I we got an episode dropping tonight at
midnight pretty pretty pretty excited about that one.
I think this one's gonna I thinkit's gonna take off.
I think this is the one that y'all have not thought about and
no one's really thought about. But the episode is we have so 35
and it's gonna be called Big cats and caves.
And on this episode that I'm that I'm talking about this

(01:35):
that's dropping tonight, will bebasically about Black Panthers
in Oklahoma and over, you know, in America and then also, you
know, overseas in the UK Um. And then I also talk about The
Cave systems and, you know, different things that could, you
know, people going missing and things like that.
And so, you know, I got a few, afew things that are, you know,

(01:58):
lined up especially with that episode.
Man, I was talking to some people.
What was this? I guess it was probably
Wednesday. And man, I'll tell you what I
heard. One of the creepiest sleep
paralysis stories I probably ever heard.
And it's creepy because I can see it in my head and I'm gonna

(02:20):
tell it to you right now. Live on YouTube.
So this happened out in West, TX.
This story was told to me literally this week.
And they're staying out in this hat in this ranch, and there's
multiple houses on this ranch, and there's one house that's
designated as the pink house because of the matriarch, the

(02:43):
mother who lived there. She died there too as well.
But as she was in the dying process, she got into like some
occult kind of weird. I don't know how I say it, kind
of not demons and angels and stuff.
And she got real thick into that.
And basically these these guys are staying there and one of the

(03:04):
guys turned over and was I guesswas sleeping there and then
turned over one night and saw this devil looking thing
basically scratching the back ofthis guy, this other guy.
And in the morning time I guess when he when he saw that he
tried to like make himself wake up.
But then he kind of eventually rolled back over and got to
where it went away. And the next, the next morning,

(03:26):
there was scratches on this dude's back or like places where
you can see someone's nails and you know, the way they described
it was like that old school red devil type.
And I was like, man, oh man, that's pretty good.
I was like Kylie, I'm gonna haveto, I'm about to share that.
But I said that was out of West,TX and you know, there's all
these. I think that's one thing people

(03:48):
get kind of, you know, mixed up on is that, you know, people,
certain people have certain things and certain things have,
you know, you know, like everybody has their own thing.
And one thing that is that, you know, kind of crazy is that when
he saw that to me, think I thinkof my neared like kind of a

(04:10):
shadow person. And I don't know if mine was
sleep paralysis. And eventually I'm going to tell
that story and it's a long, it'sa very, very long story that
involves a lot of weird stuff. And that's one thing about the
podcast that I'm going to get toeventually is going to be
telling my young people stories.Like when I was young um when I
was when I was a young guy on Facebook or I guess really on

(04:32):
Facebook did I told a story in agroup I think it's called
Oklahoma the Indian territory Sasquatch things like that
aliens. And I tell a story about when me
and this Hispanic kid gotten we've had beef like we had real
beef and I was always mad at this kid he's always doing
something he would the he got real jealous one time and we had

(04:53):
this volleyball Ned real Rick itwas real Ricky the angle lie but
is pretty it's pretty fun but hesnapped the polls on it Oh my
God. And I knew was him boy, yeah go
to blows over that and but he would mess around a lot at night
like he's parents. He had man's parents let him do
anything and he would while out and not he would just be going

(05:14):
around knocking on people's doors and you know, banging on
windows and just doing creepy like creepy stuff.
And he eventually, you know, gotto our house and he told my
little brother, he said, hey, you know, I saw something at
y'alls house and so he got my brother called me over there and
I was like, what's going on? I thinking he's up to you know
doing something again and comingto find out there was a shadow

(05:39):
or a man standing on top of our roof and he had no face and he
was standing there and this kid looked up and saw it and he's
like what is that you know what's going on with that man.
But you know we used to have things like that all time mess
with us. But on this like said on this on
this slide like so this the first one I'm gonna try.
I'm gonna try to go live at least twice a week you know may

(06:02):
do with Sunday before an episodedrops and we may do you know who
you know who knows may do one ona random Wednesday or how that
shakes out. But the kind of topic of this
live is Bigfoot and medicine andwe're revisiting that that first
or that second episode. I call it the first one because
it's the first one that I started editing the first, the

(06:23):
very first one. I don't think many people even
heard it cuz I couldn't get it on multiple flat platforms and I
just having issues and but I posted the clip from Bigfoot
Ville on Facebook. And you know one thing about I
kind of forgot you know when I'mwhen I was talking about the
things that you know Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, whatever you

(06:43):
wanna call it what they do. And there's a certain type of
one that is kind of a Bigfoot that people calling calling tall
man. But but I'm not gonna say I
almost said the name just now but it's in Creek or like it's
Seminole Creek whatever you knowbut Creek is what I know it in
and and but it it's a makes you forget and I had told a story on

(07:08):
Bigfoot Crossroads about my my dad's best friend who was
driving. If you guys know, when you're
driving into town hall, there's the casino now.
But before it just be used to bepasture.
And on the other side was like agolf course.
And there was one Rd. that splitup that pasture where the casino
is now and with the kind of a golf course slash hill type.

(07:31):
But there's one Rd. that ran up there.
I'm. It may still be there.
And he one night was driving andhe thought he saw something on
the side of the road. He looked up.
He's like, man, what is that? And he ended up passing by it
and he looked in his rear view and it was hairy and it was
tall. All he could see is, you know,
about, you know, the forearms and really, you know, couldn't

(07:53):
see much. But he saw it was hairy, real
hairy. And he, you know, he looked and
but like, he forgot about it fora long time.
And I had mentioned it kind of briefly to my dad.
And then I had, you know, my dadmentioned to him and I I
mentioned it to him. And I said, man, you remember
that story you told a long time ago.
He goes, man, I can't, man. And then one day he's dawn.
He's like, yeah, I remember. But that's the one that they

(08:14):
talk about. And he makes it makes you
forget. And I think that's what he saw
that night. And you know, there's different
spiritual aspects of Sasquatch and Bigfoot.
And I think he does things, you know, we can't explain.
And you know, I know Cherokees we call secret tribe, you know
people. And I fully believe that they

(08:35):
do. They they know things beyond
what we, you know, can interpret.
And you know it's not everyone. Like, not every Indians a
medicine man and not every medicine man is an Indian.
And not every Bigfoot knows these things.
I think it's the same way. You know, I think it's that
that's how it is as there's onlya certain few of them that know
and it's passed down and they'relike our elders, you know, or

(08:58):
the people that practice those things and heal people and they
do those things for them. And I think that's the same way
with them. You know, I look at them as a
set of almost like a set of people.
And I know people go out there all the time and they're like,
man, we got to kill. We gotta get a body, you know,
we got to make sure these thingsare real, you know, at the same
time, you know, we look at it from a point of view of, you

(09:19):
know, as a human being or something as you know, that's
got it's more than an animal. And I know that there's a lot of
people in the Bigfoot community to believe it is an animal and
which is fine, you know, But at the same time, you know, we
never, we don't know exactly what it is.
But that's what's kind of what Ibelieve.
What do you guys believe that let me know in the chatter.

(09:39):
I got some people in here. I had a few people in here in
the chat. Go ahead and put down what you
will kind of what you believe itis it is it, you know, a primate
is it, you know, another set of man, let me know what you think
in the comments. I'd like to or in the chat I'd
like to see what y'all think. But but yeah, but, you know,
they, you know, they always talkabout sometimes too, that

(10:00):
they're underground. And this is one thing we'll talk
about with The Cave system on this next episode, Episode 35
that's coming up tonight at midnight is and if you're
hearing this on the replay, it'sMonday, either would have the
21st or whatever. But we talked about a little bit
of that and you know, a lot of older elders believe that they
came from underground and they and they live underground.

(10:21):
You know, we look, we we think about those giants that they
found in Kandahar, the giant that they found a Kandahar.
However the story goes, I feel like there's 19,000,000 stories
about that. Those things were underground.
They were in caves. You know we look at the Piutes.
You know they they basically hadcornered a group of giants that
were you know in caves. You know I was kind of wonder

(10:43):
what you know what's in there iswe don't know.
You know it's at the end of the day it's we can play
hypothetical we can you know be you know straight up about it.
But but I believe that I believethat they they do you know they
are underground. I know a lot of people think
that they take the high ground too is that their own ridges and
and you know they have these what they call centurions that
that watch they just basically just keep keep track and of

(11:06):
where everything's at. And so I don't like I said I
want to know in the chat what you guys believe because you
know I think it's real interesting.
But another thing we talked about on I talked about on that
episode wouldn't and I guess I'll preface this one of my
favorite scenes and I think I mentioned this in the on the
episode episode 2 Bigfoot medicine.
Go back and listen to it was my favorite part is when they took

(11:27):
Tim Tim Harjo out and he found that he literally seen they
literally find a Bigfoot within that time that they were there.
I found it one day and you couldsee something kind of walk it on
the Ridge. It was just kind of moving real
slow and but I thought that was real cool.
But but like I said one thing like said one of my favorite
scenes is when he. Well he's like stink.

(11:48):
Smell that, smell that stink. One of the episodes that I think
is for my dad, I put that in there vaguely, just real quietly
just to see if anyone caught it.So if you, if you caught it, you
know, let me know. But, but, but yeah, going back
to that episode, revisiting thatepisode, you know another thing
that I've heard just to kind of in that in the community when it

(12:10):
comes to that is that they can speak telepathically to people.
And I never really quite understood that.
I had, I've seen multiple, I've seen multiple people you know
say that they had encounters. Now I don't know some people be
crazy. You know, I don't I really don't
know about that. But I think that they, I think
somebody in the chat here, I think they could be that they

(12:35):
travel between dimensions. You know this kind of
interesting theory that kind of made me think Martin Groves he
had a story that I heard on confessionals podcast with Tony
Merkel and he had talked about that there was these dog man
when coming after him and his buddy and the story is really
long but but basically that he could see off on the kind of the

(12:56):
Ridge or the kind of the almost like a, you know like a general
or commander sitting back and watching.
It looked like they were kind ofguiding these dog man.
And that kind of made me think in in theory that I that I have
kind of read on is that these Bigfoot are basically kind of
the the owner the pet or like the the dog.

(13:18):
Men are pets to these Bigfoot and they raise them.
You know I just find that reallyinteresting that that could be a
possibility. You know just based off that
story. You know we I have heard stories
and I have seen you know I've heard you know multiple in the
community that's people talking about that they that they have
went at it which doesn't surprise me at all and and I go
lie that Oma going to take it down.

(13:40):
They won't do he gonna he gonna win.
He gonna beat that that wolf that that dog man.
But you know, I I get stories about this all you know from
time to time and you know a story that always and I and I
told a story I said on this nextepisode, I don't want to ruin
nothing for Y'all man. It's hard.
It's really really hard to not ruin not ruin anything for
Y'all. But on episode 35.

(14:02):
But I tell a story about an ex-girlfriend of mine who who
had some creatures on her property and I'll say she lived
up in the kind of north of Tahlequah kind of headed towards
Briggs, if y'all know where Briggs America is.
Kind of headed out that way kindof next to the river and and
also brings it to mind a story that that I had heard kind of

(14:25):
growing up. My dad, he had told me a story
that, you know he had kind of mentioned that he believes that
they go in and out of Merle HomePark possibly, you know, and
that that he had, he had, you know heard or something real
heavy going by the house. And Merle Home Park is real
creepy out there. And eventually I got tell some

(14:46):
stories about my time there and have a really long story that
was on Unsaw. It's not Unsolved Spirit Talkers
on one of the first episodes I was on and shout out to those
guys new episodes are dropping soon for Spirit Talkers man.
I just haven't been able to get out get over there.
I just. I got too much going on and I
know people. That's the people ask about like

(15:07):
man, what are you abandoning us?Like what you doing, man, we we
ain't heard nothing from you on there.
I said well I'm here I'm around. But but but I you know that that
was kind of the belief that theykind of went in and out of that
because there's a Creek that runs through there and they
always you know kind of the the ongoing thing is that they
follow water. You know another thing too that

(15:28):
that I think about when it comesto that medicine part of them is
that people always talk about cloaking.
And when you when you talk aboutcloaking a lot of people think
of Harry Potter they think of that robe you know, that they
put over and he's just you know invisible invisible cloak or you
know things like that. But I think I think of it more

(15:49):
of like the predator in a sense of and it's not a technology
it's of it's a it's a technique it's a I would say it's a
medicine but that's not the phrase I want to use.
But they know and they know how to to make themselves disappear.
You know there's a there's an old old story about shitto hard

(16:09):
Joe who's part of the snake snakes back in you follow days
back in the old days and you know he could when he was
getting away from those soldiersand the probe and prohibition
police and all them, he disappeared and people never be
able to find him but he'd be right there, just right there or
he turned into a stump And I think that's what they can do

(16:30):
too. I think that they they they do
those things to avoid us And if you know if you want to be
found, you can be found. If you don't want to be found,
you won't be found. And that's one thing that I was
always taught. If you want, if you, if you're
looking for things, you're goingto find it or if you want to
stay away from those things, they won't come near you.

(16:51):
And so there's always, you know, there's always things that about
that medicine part for the for, for Sasquatch, for Bigfoot that
I was in very intrigued by. And I love it when I hear
stories about Bigfoot kind of rocking with the drums at the at
the at the grounds, at the pow hour, you know, stomping
grounds. You know, he's vibing out like

(17:12):
it's kind of easy, kind of swaying back and forth.
And there's a story told, you know, at a live event that we
did for Spirit Talkers back a year ago now and he was staying
on a reservation up north. And this this guy, I'm not going
to use his name cuz I got permission to say his name.
But but he had, he had looked over and the drums going real

(17:36):
strong and he looked over and hecould see that there was a
Bigfoot size watch kind of rocking out kind of just sway
like he was you know kind of enjoying that you know that beat
and kind of just walked away once it was over.
And I always find that you always find that very
interesting maybe because sometimes that drum has a
healing effect. You can.
It really brings your spirit, right, makes it right and it

(17:58):
makes you feel good about yourself and and it makes you,
you know, I know I felt that when we was at porn power.
I, you know, I was like, man, sostart doing those dances now,
but but I think that I think that affects them.
You know, there's been, you know, multiple stories that I've
heard. This is one of Concho and they

(18:18):
saw one out there doing the samething, kind of swaying with the
beat, you know, the drums. And you know, I I agree with the
Jessica in the chat. I couldn't imagine seeing that.
I couldn't imagine seeing looking over.
And Dang, it's like, Dang, you're looking over and see one
of your relatives now they want a hairy man when Y'all's
relatives is what it is now. But I couldn't imagine seeing it

(18:42):
either. And that's a great story.
That's a great story when you talk about, you know, those, you
know them showing up at the grounds.
And I said I think that I think there's something to that.
I think that they know. You know another thing too is
yeah, I heard a story one time that you know they're out there
speaking Cherokee. It's just come from off the
Cherokee res and this old story. But they speak Cherokee and

(19:03):
they, you know, I may be the ones that are there in that
area. They they know and they
understand. You know they understand that
they, you know what's being said.
And I found that real cool. You know that maybe like I said,
I mean it's maybe like each territory to like you know they
always talk about, you know theyalways talk about I guess each
tribe has their own language or a semblance of their own

(19:25):
language and maybe that's the same thing as that each you
know, they know they're they have their own you know type of
language but but I think that's real cool to know that you know
they was out there speaking and they can understand it.
And one other thing too about the kind of the bad ones, the
the ones that make you forget. For a long time tribes have been
telling Europeans and and white folks that you don't go to those

(19:50):
areas because that's the Devil'smountain.
That's the, you know, over here is the the Devil's cave or you
know or you know the evil place. They always tell.
And a lot of those times it's those, it's those ones that make
you forget that are there and they they terrorize.
You know, we don't ever know where those places are nowadays
because we've built cities on them and we built towns on those

(20:12):
places and a lot of those placesthat we that were talked about
are still around, but they're they're not as prevalent.
Today's society and and what we know.
But I appreciate everybody that's in the chat.
Let me know where you're from. You know if you're a quiet
listener let me know Just I can see the chat rolling.
Just let me know where you're from.
And you know maybe I might have a story for you if you if you if

(20:33):
you name a place that I know if you're here in Oklahoma.
I try to know is is wide-rangingis a humanly possible.
Like I had a on the last this iscreepy.
I had a lady from from Garfield County reach out to me about
her, her kind of Bigfoot story that she had and it was stalking
her and her or cousin or her family member on on the train

(20:55):
tracks as they were walking homeone night and that's in Garfield
County. You know, I appreciate, you
know, people that that share those stories with me because I
like to, I like to keep them anonymous.
I like to make it to where they're comfortable telling
those stories because sometimes people that's one thing I get
kind of like when I I share my very bra you know my very strong
opinion about these things and people look at me like I'm crazy

(21:17):
it's like OK see what I've seen you know you you you don't
understand because you don't know what you haven't seen.
And I I've always grown up with the kind of a fear of the
unknown and unsure of you know how and what you know is behind
you know in the dark. And I think that's a lot of
people. But I'm gonna I'm looking to
looking at. OK we got we got someone from

(21:40):
OKC just ghost in the chat. I appreciate that.
Just man just haunting the placehuh.
Dang. We got a real live ghost.
We got someone from Norman. I like it.
Yeah. Hey I appreciate everybody in
the OKC metro boomer sooner all day.
I know seasons coming up and manwe need Brett Venables to do

(22:01):
something. We need him to do something.
I can't go another season like last season man that was brutal.
Had some Texas fans and OklahomaState fans ragging.
I was I was upset, man. Bigsby.
Oh, I know Bigsby very well. Very, very well.
I you know there is a Oklahoma ghost story episode.
I can't remember what episode that was, but I share about a

(22:22):
about a facility that I worked at over the course of the summer
and there's some spooky things that happened over there.
And I think that was called Oklahoma Ghost Stories Part one,
and we're gonna work on OklahomaGhost Stories Part 2, or I am
because because there's a lot out there.
One of the other stories that I told on that was about my dad

(22:43):
and he was out basically out there doing his job.
And one of the the guy, the son came down, it was like, what
what are you doing here? You know, trespassing.
He's like, hey man, I'm just here for this person.
And the guy go in the the persongoes, well, there ain't nobody
live here. Well come to find out there had
been a lady telling my dad to come in.

(23:04):
Well, here the the lady had passed some time before that and
the guy runs in the house and thinking his mom was still
alive. And you know that's a story that
was over that's that's on Oklahoma ghost stories part one.
But yeah, we're at about 27 minutes.
I'm gonna go probably another two minutes, 2 minutes.
If you ghost in the chat. Let me know where you're from.
And and like I said, I'll I always like to try to exit with

(23:27):
a story and I got a I got a a real short one here.
But you know, growing up on Cherokee Nation res and being a
res dog, we always used to do crazy stuff and reservation dogs
is kind of how I was grew up, you know?
But we was, you know, we were running around a lot in those in

(23:49):
kind of different streets and dirt roads.
And one of the craziest, you know, one of the weirdest times
in my life was the time when there was a weird guy that
stayed down at the end of the trailer park where we stayed on.
And he was weird. He was a very weird guy and
basically what the the there's alittle kind of a younger guy who

(24:10):
was crazy. He's like this kid did anything.
He said, hey, I bet you 2 nickels going at the guy's house
and he went in that guy's house. So we go down we go down and
tell his dad and boy his dad went down there come to find out
a guy was a registered sex offender that has that was I
guess not registered and they beat the brakes off that guy.

(24:31):
I was like man that's crazy justyou should never know you know
and the school starting back andpeople got school you know we
just you know that's like one ofthe one of my biggest fears in
life is is something happening to my two daughters.
And so I always you know I always always be a lookout.
You know eventually I'm going totalk about you know the missing
people. You know missing and murdered

(24:52):
indigenous people and and women and kids.
I keep seeing man every probablyevery couple times a week I see
a missing poster of a of anotherchild indigenous child and so
those things are are out there but but I appreciate you guys

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
