This episode was Pedro Pascal's Emmy reel because he really delivered the entire hour. The flashback episode was used to answer alot of our questions. We got to see how Ellie and Joel’s relationship deteriorated during the time between the seasons. We got to see what happened to Eugene and why his wife hates Joel so much, and we even got a peek into how Joel became who he is from his father. Speaking of father, they also showed how Joel worked and developed himself into becoming Ellie's "father". Though no action, this was a great episode
