In this raw, on-the-fly episode of the Ride The Wave Podcast, Jeff Fisher sits down with Robert Herrera — a U.S. veteran experiencing homelessness in Morristown, New Jersey.

Recorded in a public library with nothing but a phone, this episode captures real life as it's happening. Robert shares what it’s like to survive on the streets, how he navigates limited resources, broken systems, and the deep emotional toll of life without a place to call home.

But Robert is not just a statistic.
He’s a father.
He’s a veteran.
And he’s a voice we all need to hear.

You’ll hear about:
🇺🇸 His military service and the pride he still carries
🚫 The shelter gaps and unrealistic systems
🧠 How trauma, trust, and dignity intersect on the street
💡 What love-thy-neighbor really means in real life
🤝 Why we need a new model — led by compassion, not control

This conversation is uncomfortable, honest, and essential.
And it’s exactly why we do this work.

🎧 If you’ve ever wondered how close any of us could be to life on the other side — this is the episode to hear.
