SPEAKER_00 (00:30):
All right, so coming
up December 1st through 5th in
Las Vegas, Nevada is AWSreInvent.
Now, if you don't know what thisis, this is one of Amazon's
largest conferences in theUnited States.
And this one is specificallyfocused on AWS.
That's Amazon Web Services.
That is the cloud.
Everything that you imagine thecloud is, is happening at
reInvent.
And you know, I went for thefirst time a couple of years
(00:51):
ago, not really knowing what toexpect.
My friend Sean told me that Ishould go because there's a
whole bunch of free swag there.
And there is, but that's not themain draw.
This is the world of the cloud,if you will.
This is everything that happensin and around AWS, things that
are empowered by AWS, thingsthat use AWS, so on and so
forth.
Now, obviously, I have a specialinterest in it this year.
(01:13):
I've been working for Eero, which is an Amazon company for a
little bit over a year now, andwe've got some really cool
things that we're showing off.
So I'm so excited about it.
I wanted to talk about it.
This isn't a this isn't a paidsponsorship or anything.
This is just me talking aboutthe stuff that I get to mess
with at work every day, and weget to show off.
Now I want to talk about that.
But first, I do also want tonote that Project Kuiper, which
(01:36):
is now known as Leo, so it'sofficially Amazon Leo, also has
some sessions going on atreInvent.
Now, there's not a lot ofwireless talk at a cloud
conference, as you can imagine.
Not a lot of people are runningaround talking about Wi-Fi and
all the things that it connects.
But there are two things that Iwanted to point out.
And this first one is about Leo.
(01:57):
So there is a session, ARC320,called Architecting Resilient
Global Networks with ProjectKuiper.
Now, there's a guy speakingthere named Nick Matthews, who's
one of the principal solutionsarchitects at Amazon Leo.
And he's going to be talkingabout how the constellation
transforms the way that peopleuh architect and connect
globally.
So it's not just about buildingsmall connectivity solutions,
(02:18):
it's about how do you bring thisin across the world.
Now, this is of specialinterest, I think, because the
announcement that came outyesterday, November 24th, is
talking about how Leo is now thefastest satellite service, low
Earth orbit satellite systemthat's out there.
The press release says AmazonLeo debuts new gigabit speed
(02:39):
ultra antenna begins enterprisepreview.
So the previews have started, itlooks like.
I don't have one yet, but when Ihave one, I'll let you all know
for sure.
But this is Enterprise GreatPerformance features and
capabilities for private andpublic sector.
This is doing one gigabit persecond down and upload speeds up
to 400 megabit per second.
The new preview program willenable select enterprise
(03:00):
customers to test out Amazon Leoservices ahead of a wider
rollout.
Now there's about a little bitof you know more than 150
satellites in orbit right now,and they're continuing to launch
and go up in the air.
But this is a really, reallycool thing for Leo.
It's a great thing for theindustry overall, and it's
really going to push theboundaries for what low Earth
orbiting satellites can do.
So if you're going out toreinvent, make sure to look up
(03:24):
session ARC320 or just look upNick Matthews' name and see what
he's doing.
That session's taking place onTuesday, December 2nd at 530 at
Mandalay Bay.
So if you're interested in it,that's a really cool thing.
If you know any followers of theshow know I love to talk about
satellite.
Now, the other thing that we'redoing, and this is this is near
and dear to my heart, is Eero ispartnering with AWS to show off
(03:45):
some really neat stuff.
Eero is taking over the largestfive guys restaurant in the
franchise.
It's over 10,000 square feet.
You've heard me talk about it.
150 employees, six checkoutstations, four kiosks, but now
it's going to be the home ofEero for two days during AWS.
So Tuesday and Wednesday, thesecond, December 2nd, December
(04:06):
3rd, we've got some meetings andsome activities taking place
there.
But the big show is onWednesday, December 3rd from 11
a.m.
till 2 p.m.
We're buying anyone whoregisters lunch.
So you come in, you get aburger, you get some fries,
milkshake, get a soda, and getto see what we're doing with
Eero in that quick servicerestaurant or QSR space,
specifically for fast food.
So every bit, every bite, everypiece of data that runs across
(04:29):
that network at Five Guys isrunning across an Eero platform,
which is really, really great.
And we're going to show it off.
I'm also showing off a reallycool mini rack that I built that
I'm very proud of.
So my mini rack is going to beshowing off not just
connectivity using the Eeroplatform, but it's going to be
showing off the way that APIscan be integrated with Eero.
So come by and check that out.
(04:49):
The big news that we're talkingabout, and there's a session on
this as well.
So Monday, December 1st, ifyou're attending AWS reInvent,
simplify connectivity fromremote sites updates and Eero
integration.
And what the description of thistopic is is learn how AWS is
simplifying enterpriseconnectivity for remote sites
and distributed workforces.
In this session, we're going todeep dive into latest
(05:10):
innovations with AWS Sites SiteVPN, showcasing how enterprises
can establish and securereliable connections from
existing equipment like Eero.
So there's a really coolintegration that's taking place
that I want if this is somethingthat is of interest to you all,
I would love for you all to comeby and check out.
We're going to show off the waythat Eero integrates with AWS
(05:31):
and it just makes everything asabsolutely simple as it possibly
could be.
So if you're coming out to AWSreInvent next week, give me a
buzz, drop me a DM, come by,come check it out, let me buy
you a burger and see what we'reup to.
It's something, again, you know,I really don't talk a lot about
the stuff that I do day in, dayout, but I get to have a really
great time working on with someincredible people on some
(05:52):
fantastic products.
And the team has put so mucheffort into this, you know, from
the marketing side, from thedesign side, from the hardware
side, the software side, theintegration side, working with
AWS.
I mean, it's been really, reallyneat.
So I'm very excited about it.
Please, if you're if you'recoming out there, drop me a
message, let me know.
And I hope to see you at AWSreInvent 25, December 1st
(06:12):
through 5th in Las Vegas.
