change the world. I'm your host, Solomon Cole, and
let's get into today's episode. So for today's episode, we are
going to. It's a different kind of
episode. We're going to be doing an
episode called Grasshopper Talk. And what that is, is there are

(00:28):
the modern day Mr. Miyagi's, which are the adults, the older
people who are wiser than us. And we talk to them and we glean
from them and we learn from their their past mistakes and
their past victories. In this, it's more people who
are my age, people who are younger than me, people who are
in Gen. Z, and we talk to them and we
say, hey, what is it? That we are struggling with,

(00:49):
what is it that we want to achieve?
How are we going to achieve it? And it's really talking about
what is it like to be the upcoming generation versus the
past generation. So today I'm joined by my cousin
Bryn. Hi Bryn.
So she is how old are you, 5, five years old.
What do you like to do for fun play?

(01:12):
With. Animals play with animals, yeah.
Do you Do you play with real animals too?
I play with his dogs. My dogs, Yeah, Scout and Harper
shout out. What grade are you in?
Kindergarten. Kindergarten.
OK, wait, are you going into kindergarten or are you going

(01:32):
into first grade? I'm going into kindergarten.
Going into kindergarten, Are younervous?
No, no. Why are you not nervous?
'Cause I've been into school 1000.
Times Been to school 1000 times.Let's see here what?
For people who don't know you, which a lot of them don't know,
you tell people like a little bit about yourself.

(01:55):
I have always, always been into animals, so I want to be a
veterinarian when I grow up. And I always, always, always,
always, always have one been a dance teacher because I've done
dance when I was a little kid. So I'm going to do both of those
jobs. It's kind of complicating, but.

(02:17):
I guess I'm doing it. Yeah, you're gonna do it.
I believe that you can do it too.
Why do you? Why do you want to be a
veterinarian? Because I've been around animals
my whole life and that's what other vets have done.
Yeah, Why do you want to be a dance teacher?
'Cause I've done dance almost. My whole.

(02:38):
Life. Yeah.
Is is dance hard sometimes? Kind of.
What's hard, remember? Yeah, what's hard about it?
My teachers always, always like tell you and then you have to
remember it for your recital. Yeah, What kind of animals would
you want to work with if you were a veterinarian?

(03:00):
Cheetahs, lions and zebras. My favorite.
Why? Because cheetahs run fast and
lions eat my favorite food, meatand zebras.
Are my favorite color which is white.
Your favorite color is white. What's your favorite food?

(03:22):
Meat. Meat.
What kind? What kind of meat?
The meat they eat like. Zebra.
You like to eat zebra? I don't eat zebra, but I eat
meat, which is Yum. Yeah, I agree.
Let's think here. If you were to have any

(03:44):
superpower, what superpower would you pick?
Probably spider superpower. Spider like Spiderman?
Yeah, yeah, like shoot, Shoot some webs.
Yeah. What do you want to be a mom
when you grow up? I wanna be a mom to 9 kids.
Nine kids. My 9:00 kids.

(04:07):
Because in. A show called bringing up Bates.
They have more kids than 9, but I figured out they they really
just got head of like all like 9kids.
Yeah. Do you do you believe in God?

(04:28):
Yes. Why?
Cuz he died on the cross. Yeah, What's your What's your
favorite thing about God? Made me be a veterinarian.
Want to be? A veterinarian.
He made. You want to be a veterinarian?
That's right. Here.
What's going on in your life? What do you do?
What's what's what's what? What's going on?

(04:48):
I I do home school and my mom's going to home school.
My baby brother who was napping in the other room.
I feel like I wanted for a million years to do home school,
my mom. Like said, we're not going to do
home school until you're 5, and now that I'm five, I get to do

(05:09):
home school and it feels way better than being free doing
home school because I was very complicated.
Are you? You say you're doing home
school, or are you? Going to I'm doing home school
and going to school, which is going to be quite complicating
because the teachers teach me more than my mom teach.
So. It's.
Going to be a little bit of a difference, yeah.

(05:32):
Are you are you nervous at all to start going to a school
because you I guess you you kindof haven't gone to like a school
school before. I'm not nervous because so many
times I've gone and it just mademe feel happy.
What? What made you feel happy about
it? I have so many friends to make

(05:54):
and I feel like less now. I have less friends, and the
more I make friends, the more I'm going to.
Like make more fun. It's true.
Is it hard to make friends? It's quite hard to make friends
cuz people already have had those friends.
But you can make friends with the people who are friends with
the friends are getting. How do How do you make friends?

(06:17):
You like, you say do you wanna be my friend?
And if they say no, you say please be my friend and then
they'll answer. What if they say no again?
You just say be my friend then if they keep saying no.
Pick another person. Yeah, it Do you ever feel sad
when you ask someone and they say no?
I don't feel sad because I already have answered a lot.

(06:40):
Like if somebody said do you want to be my BFF, I'd say yes.
So I guess it doesn't really hurt my family.
It's because they asked me. Yeah, do you want to phone?
I really want to phone because it matters a lot.
Why does it matter? So you can listen to my favorite
music and everything else. Why?

(07:01):
Why are you not allowed to have a phone?
Because I could text and since Idon't know to read, I could text
the wrong thing and it could spell a bad word and then the
person would not want to be my friend.
That's true. That's a valid point.
So you need to know how to read 1st to get a phone to.
Know how to read? What do your parents say about

(07:21):
you getting a phone? They say not until I'm nine or
11. 11 OK, I like that. Once you learn how to read, do
you have like a book that you want to read?
Probably a Mary Poppins book, but it's gonna be very long,
yeah. So super long.

(07:42):
Yeah, super. Long.
Do you know how to swim? I know to swim in the deep end
without floaties, and if I drowned, I just.
You wouldn't drown. You're super good at.
You're super good at swimming. Yeah, Yeah.
Are you? Why don't you?
Why do you not want to be a swimmer like a professional
swimmer? Because.

(08:02):
It's quite hard. It's quite hard, but all the
things you want to do are quite hard I.
Guess. Yeah, what makes a thing worth
doing for you? It's like, what makes out of,
like all of the things that you could do in the in your future?
What what makes it something that you want to do?
What would make it what I wantedto do would be like everything

(08:25):
other people are doing. So I think that's what I'm going
to do. Yeah.
How do you feel when people are mean to you?
I feel like I should be mean to them back, which is not a thing,
but I don't. I just say be my friend, don't
be me. For for people out there who are

(08:52):
who are sad, what do you want totell them?
I'll say don't be sad. Whoever made you sad, act to
them the way you want to be acted.
That's what I want. That's.
Yeah, That's what we all want. That's very good.
Who taught you that? You.
Me. I taught you that.
OK, I'll take it. I don't think I actually did,

(09:12):
but I'll take it. Well, your sister did.
Oh, there you go. What?
What are you? What do you want to do in this
week? Like what?
What do you want to do this week?
What's what's like the highlights of your week that
you're excited for? Memorial Day.

(09:32):
Memorial Day. Yeah, it's true.
Memorial Day is. No, wait.
Memorial Day? Is that what that is?
Independence Day? Tomorrow, 4th of July?
Oh. 4th of July. Yeah, that's tomorrow.
If you could be any animal, whatanimal would you be?
A zebra. Zebra Why?
Because it's my favorite color and I ring my favorite color

(09:55):
right now there. You go, it's got a little white.
Well, thank you for being on thepodcast.
Is there anything else you want to talk about or?
I don't. Think so?
You don't think so? Alright.
Anything you want to tell the people?
I love you. You love them?

(10:16):
