the metal controversial show of your life. Please buckle up

direct from the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
What time is it?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
It's time war War.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
Here's your host, one hundred percent raw Truth, one hundred
percent American made the Warrior, Wayne Alan Roots.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
Welcome, waiting and gentlemen, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to the first
live show of September twenty twenty five. My name is
Lee Elsa, the Voice of Freedom. That's Lee LCD Voice
of Freedom, broadcasting from my state of the art studio
here in Connecticut, right between actually smack dab in the
middle of Boston and New York City. Wayne Allen rud

(01:19):
is off for one more night, So those of you
who are fixing for some more Wayne tomorrow night right here,
same time, same place. He will be back at it
a full throttle, So a couple of days off for him,
and I got one more shot at you tonight. We
have a couple of great guests. Coming up. Bottom of
the hour, we'll talk to Judge John Azarrow. Second half
of the show, we'll talk to a good friend. Both

(01:40):
of them are good friends of mine, but a great
friend of mine, Bob Stefanowski. In the second hour it
ran for governor a couple of times. Business Genius will
get to the bottom with him as far as what's
going on in the economy and business sense and all
of that. So we'll do all that here tonight. You
can email me lee elsradio at gmail dot com. That's
le ee e l Ci Radio gmail dot com, and

(02:01):
all kinds of great places you can watch what's happening
here in the studio. You can go to the Gateway
Pundit dot com, which is wildly successful, untamed Nation dot com.
Those guys do a fantastic job and produce the video
portion of this and they do just a stellar job
with that. You can go on to Wayne's Rumble, x
Getter or Root for America, all places where you can

(02:23):
find what we are doing and who we are doing
it with. I was going to talk about Chicago and
crime in Washington. Maybe I'll do that in the next break. Instead,
I'm going to sort of repeat what I talked about
this morning on my morning show here in Connecticut, if
you don't mind. There's all kinds of great challenges that
are facing mankind. And these challenges not necessarily confined to

(02:47):
one nation, one culture, even one party, but I think
they face all human beings. Right, It's a fight that
we're all in, And I think these challenges that I'm
gonna throw at you when we start to talk about them,
you'll think to yourself, Yeah, if I can improve on that,

(03:08):
I think the world might be a better place. In fact,
my world will certainly be a better place. I'm not
trying to preach to you, but I'm just I was
just thinking about this. These are five, maybe four or
five observations that are challenging mankind, which are either slowing
us down or throwing a speed bump into the progress
of everything and anything that we actually are. So the

(03:28):
first challenge that I looked for and sort of want
to point out is the challenge for our addiction to distraction.
What does that mean? Well, never before has the human
mind been so overwhelmed that I'll use some of the

(03:49):
same words that I use this morning, but overwhelmed with
the noise twenty four to seven, constant bombardment, news, stories, boards, stories, weather,
social media right endlessly drowning in images and sound bites,
and all the while we're starving for meaning. What do

(04:09):
they mean? What does it mean to me? What's the
implications all of that? And or our tension spans during
all this have shrunk, Like how how long can you
spend on one thing? How long do you spend time
maybe reading a book or even watching something in depth?
I mean, are you picking up your phone somewhere along
the line during the course of watching something or listening

(04:30):
to someone? Almost almost everybody does that now. So with
our attention spans shrinking, our conversations have become shallow, and
in some cases young people often struggle to sit in silence,
maybe sit in silence and dream. Don't you feel that?
I swear I feel that. I feel it all the time.

(04:52):
I feel it even happening to me. Where you don't
have the time to sit and think and reflect because
there's so many different things coming at you all over
the place. And you know, as far as a solution,
I mean, it's not complicated, but probably very difficult for
us to do. Just maybe return to some of the
family values that we once had. I again mentioned this

(05:14):
this morning. How about dinner once a week with the
family where nobody can talk on the phones, nobody can
look at the phones, just conversation across the dinner table.
And it just seems like that is something that has
eluded us. Imagine classrooms where people are actually reading and
they're studying, as opposed to just typing in a couple

(05:37):
of prompts to AI and letting it do the rest
of the business for us. So, you know, if you
could imagine leaders that weren't into clickbait and we're more
into substance rather than distraction, I think we'd be well
on our way to a better life. That's that's maybe
observation number one. Observation number two is something that I
often talk about and I'll share it with the country

(05:59):
here as they the weakening of the work ethic right.
Civilizations are not built on handouts. They are built on sweat,
hard work, and perseverance. That's how you become great. It's
not it's not Maybe it's an accident once in a while,
but for the most part, that's how you become something.

(06:20):
Hard work, sweat, equity, perseverance to the craft today everyone
seems to be too comfortable. They're choosing comfort over effort.
It seems like that's happening time and time again. A
tunnement and entitlement is treated like a birthright, while discipline
and like I said, good work ethic is outdated, and

(06:42):
we've got to reverse that from childhood. We've got to
eliminate that burden. And you know, we need to start
honoring people who have that work ethic, the tradesman with
the callous hands, the entrepreneurs who risk everything though, the
mother of two, the single mom who's working a second
or third job because she doesn't want handoutes. So we

(07:03):
stop glorifying shortcuts, because it's the effort, not the entitlement
that build that builds a future worth having. The third
challenge the erosion of trust and truth, and we have
that on so many different levels in so many different places.
We live in a time where it seems like lies

(07:25):
spread like lightning, and truth is sort of stagnant. Institutions
we once trusted, they squander their credibility. The media, the government,
their agencies that come to mind right away, do we
trust them anymore? Do you trust anybody in the media?
Do you trust anybody in big government. Shouldn't we hold
those folks to a hired standard. And if not so them,

(07:49):
then it's up to you. You have to be a
truth warrior, verify things, go out and do your research,
question everything before accepting it. Teach your kids that critical
thinking is not optional, it's actually for survival. So, yes,
the challenge of the erosion of trust and truth, and

(08:12):
we need to do better in that. And in the
time I have left, probably the fourth challenge, or the
fourth observation that I have, is the crisis in moral courage.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Right.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
We know we look around us right, and we know
it's right. We know it's right. I know it's right.
Yet if you stay silent, you're essentially complicit, right, because
are you afraid? You don't want to be judged, you
don't want to be canceled, you want to be cast out.
You see some things that you know are wrong, and

(08:48):
yet either you turn your back, or you shrug your shoulders,
or you roll your eyes and you walk away. And somehow,
now we've confused this cowardice with tolerance. Not tolerance, that's
not tolerance, it's not it's basically comfort over virtue. That's
what you're doing, and history teaches us that you have

(09:09):
to stand up for your rights, you have to stand
up for other people's rights, and we need to raise
men and women who will do the same things that
our forefathers have done. In particular, the people who founded
this nation. They stood up for what they thought was
right and they built a country on that. And truth matters,
A truth always is going to matter more than any

(09:29):
applause you could get. Moral courage must once again become
the standard, not the exception. And somehow it's become Oh
my god, he's a truth teller. He's telling you. He
doesn't lie, he doesn't fabricate, he doesn't extend the truth,
he doesn't manipulate. He tells the truth or she tells
the truth. How refreshing that is. And there's not enough
people in not only politics, but certainly in the media

(09:51):
or even in corporations that do that. And maybe the
final one is rebuilding what appears to be a shattered community.
When's the last time you know he just knocked on
your neighbor's door and said, what's up. I don't do it.
I'd be the first one to tell you I'm a recluse.
I admit it. But I think this is sort of

(10:13):
born in the same area as people being buried in
their phones. There's something to that about the lack of
community involvement, right, you know, want to deal with your neighbors.
You don't care as long as they don't bother you.
You don't want any of that. And I don't know
is that that's not what this magical country was built on.
There were communities, there were neighborhoods, there were you know,

(10:36):
there were alliances that were built, and strength that was
born for them was almost unbreakable. Was amazing. I think
that's part of what the American way is all about, right,
that middle class value. But maybe that's also part of it,
the fact that the middle class unfortunately is seemingly disappearing.
And maybe you don't have time to have a barbecue
on a Thursday night with your with your friends because

(10:56):
you're working, again to make sure you put food on
the table for mom and the kids or vice versas.
You know, you're working too much. Maybe that's part of
this diabolical equation. So those are just a few of
the things that I thought were important things that we
may have missed. Again, the fractured community, the crisis in

(11:16):
moral courage. Maybe the truth and the trust. We don't
have that anymore. That work ethic disappearing, and of course,
distraction everywhere. I don't want to be a distraction, and
I want you to be distracted. I want you to
stay with us. Stick around, everybody once again, you're listening
to the war Zone. My name is Lee Elsie, filling
in for the one and only Wayne Allen Route. We

(11:37):
will be right back.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
Stick around, all right.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
A special treat for you.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
I want to introduce you to a real hero of
the American energy industry, a legend, Mark Brunner, founder and
CEO of Lost Soldier Oil and Gas in the United States.
Lost Soldier is the last major BCGA basin centered gas accumulation.
This is code for a monster field where gas or

(12:12):
oil is in a basin, which makes the drilling and
production much easier. Mark, you're a legend in the oil industry,
in the gas industry.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Tell us about your track record.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
Well, I'm a second generation oil and gas guy. My
father in the early nineteen fifties started a company called
tech Star. It later became Texas Oil and Gas when
it sold out to US Steel. It was the largest
independent in the world. Dell High Pipelines was the largest
gas distribution system in the United States when it sold
out to a US Steel. I worked with him for

(12:43):
four years. I've been in the oil and gas ever since.
You would probably know me better as this chairman of
Ultra Petroleum, and Ultra had a pretty good track record,
which you're very familiar with.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
I think, well, I think ten thousand dollars investor in
Ultra turned it into thirteen million dollars. Is that correct
in the nine year run of your publicly traded company.

Speaker 6 (13:06):
Yeah, at the high that's true.

Speaker 5 (13:07):
Ten thousand dollars turn into thirteen million. That means one
hundred thousand dollars turn into one hundred and thirty million.
That's an incredible track record. Now tell me why this
deal lost Soldier. This project is so special. I hear
about projects and deals all the time. What makes this
one special?

Speaker 3 (13:24):
Mark?

Speaker 6 (13:25):
What's special about this is all the other basines of
the United States have been drilled. We've known for fifty
years what they are. This one could not be drilled
because there was a uranium mine out here. Until it
was reclimated three years ago. No one could drill it.
This is surrounded by large oil and gas fields with
billions of dollars of infrastructure, then at this point eighty

(13:46):
five percent empty. So we made this discovery. We are
the only operator in this field, and right now we
can see that we've got enough room for five hundred
horizontal wells out here with what we drilled so far.
Very excited. It's the new basin in the United States,
and as far as I'm concerned, this is an order
of magnitude bigger than Ultra Petroleum, the one that I did.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
All right.

Speaker 5 (14:10):
The website is Lost Soldier dot com.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Pretty simple stuff. Lost Soldier dot com.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
The project forty thousand acres took forty years to piece together.
It's called Lost Soldier Oil and Gas LLC. That's the
company that's the project. But the website Lost Soldier dot com.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Thank you Wayne.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
Good to see you again.

Speaker 2 (15:04):

one coast to the other also have us on this evening.

It ravages your body, and the cost not only bankrupt you,

(15:47):
but destroys your quality of life. It will bankrupt our
healthcare system as well. So type two diabetes can cause blindness,
kidney failure, heart attack, stroke, amputation, Alzheimer's dementia, ed and
even cancer. So reversing your diabetes can help prevent these complications.
More than thirty seven million Americans have diabetes, but worse,
ninety eight million actually have pre diabetes. But there's fantastic news.

webinar to learn more about their patented program. Register today
at reversemdiabetesfast dot com. That's reverse my diabetes fast dot com.
Tell them you heard about it on the Wing Alan
rooton wore Zone show. So Chicai, you know, what were
you doing this weekend? Partying? Maybe having a couple sociables,

(16:56):
hanging out with your friends, barbecue, Labor Day all that.
Maybe you are just just chilling, putting your feet up,
watching little baseball whatever. This college football started this week,
and so maybe you're just having a grand old time
of it. Well, guess what in Washington, d C. Crime
was nearly not eliminated, but certainly was way way down
from what it normally is. In fact, in the two

(17:18):
weeks excuse me, three week span since Donald Trump put
boots on the ground, there hasn't been one single homicide
in Washington again unless it happened today, unless I missed it.
And there's a number of different things that have happened
magnificently in that time. They've got a bunch of guns
off the street, got a bunch of drugs off the street,
found a whole bunch of kids that were missing. They
found kids that were missing. So the plan in Washington,

(17:41):
d C. Through Trump is working. Now, what was going
on in Chicago over the weekend? Well, in the Windy
City there were over fifty shootings since last Friday. Fifty.
Oh by the way, did I mention seven homicides in
that same period? Seven in the same period, So over
the weekend of fifty people got shot, over seven people

(18:02):
died of those shootings. Yet when Trump wants to try
to do something similar in Chicago, they are pushing back
with both hands. They want nothing to do with this.
So what does that tell you? It makes me feel
like they don't care about their own citizens and you
realize that through August twenty fifth, about what a week

(18:23):
or so ago there were Chicago had recorded eight hundred
and sixty five shooting incidents in two hundred and forty homicides,
And that they are saying is a positive because it's
less than it was last year eight hundred and sixty
five shootings, two hundred and forty homicides. Would that be

(18:43):
considered a success for you? That's about a person a
day getting shot, About a person today, excuse me, about
a person to day getting murdered. About three people a
day getting shot every day every day in Chicago. And
Trump wants to try to implement some kind of of

(19:06):
security measures, the Chicago leadership goes absolutely bat blank crazy.
They don't want anything to do with it. And if
I'm living in Chicago and I'm working my rear end
off and i can't walk down the street because I'm
afraid I'm gonna get mugged or shot, or my kids,
who knows they're going to get recruited into a gang,
or selling having somebody use them as a mule to
sell drugs, and whatever else that's going on in the

(19:28):
Chicago street street corners, and nobody seems to care about that.
You bet your rear end that I would want to
change the way things are handled in Chicago, and I
don't know why they haven't. The citizens haven't gone screaming
to the Mayor's office and to the gouble the Governor's
office to try to find a way to fix what's
going on. So those are just a couple of things

(19:50):
that I wanted to mention. Here's the deal. We got
a fabulous guests coming up at the bottom of the hour.
We've had him on before, but he's about as good
as a get. His name is Judge John Azara. Will
chat with him a lot of different topics we can
get into with the Judge, and then in about an
hour or so, we're going to talk to former gubernatorial
candidate Bob Stefanowski. In between that, we'll chat about whatever

(20:12):
is happening in the world in the news, and we'll
do that right here on the War Zone. You can
find us the Gateway Pundit, Untamed Nation dot com, Wayne's
rumble x Getter, and of course Root for America dot com.
Of course, if you want to email me Leelsiradio at
gmail dot com. I'm so happy to have you along
for the ride. Already a half hour in. I can't
believe it. We'll be right back. Keep listening and watching

(20:33):
the Warzone.

Speaker 3 (20:44):

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Alright, I'll welcome back. Warzone is where you are, the
gateway pundit. You can find us there untamed nation dot com.
Of course all of the great radio stations from one
coast to another. He appears pretty regularly on my morning
show here in Connecticut, and I am very lucky to
have him retired, Judge John Nazarro, Judge, how are you
this evening? I appreciate you coming on.

Speaker 8 (22:36):
Kid, I'm okay, thank you so much for having.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Me a lot to get to. I got to just
throw a whole bunch of stuff at you, and again,
I thank you for carving out some time. But the
National Guard in some of these CITI has been talking
a lot about that, Judge and a. I mean, it
seems to be working, certainly working in DC anyway, and
you know he wants to try it in Chicago. But
getting a pushback. What's the constitutionality of this?

Speaker 8 (23:05):
Well, I know I was going to.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Have a fight.

Speaker 8 (23:06):
The mayors are already lining up. The mayor of Chicago
there's passing executive orders not to cooperate with the FEDS.
So it's that constitutional crisis constantly. Clearly, in the District
of Columbia, there's congressional authority, there's statutory authority on the
federal level to permit the mobilization of the National Guard,

(23:27):
not having to consult a governor. There is no governor
of the District of Columbia. There is a mayor. And
what's interesting, I think if reports are to be accredited,
it's having an effect. It's having a positive effect. In
the District of Columbia. Crime is down sometimes. I talk
about my daughter who is a reporter in Washington, as
you know, and the young professionals like what's going on

(23:51):
with the National Guard. They like to get on the subway,
they like to go to work and not get robbed.
They like to have these school and they're using scooters
that they transport from their apartment to the capital to
the financial district, and they don't want them stolen. And
you know, when you talk about petty theft, that's somebody's

(24:12):
mode of transportation. So they can go to work, make
a paycheck, and pay their bills. And so the young
people really want to be able to succeed. They like
the restoration of law and order. We'll see if the
Democrats and these other blue cities that are fighting it
are going to win on this issue.

Speaker 2 (24:33):
So the big pushback, judge is that you know, he's
going to take it too far authoritarianism and brown shirt mentality.
You'll have police forces on every street corner and every
big city across the country, and then if something happens
that Trump doesn't like, he just sends in the police
force to clean it up. Even to the point where
some people are saying, well, what if the next election

(24:53):
doesn't go the way they want it to go, He'll
come in and send in the police force. I mean,
that's so far away from where we are, but that's
that's what people are saying.

Speaker 8 (25:04):
It's clear that the Democrats, and they are on the
left of this, they're trying to use fear. It's all
about fear. Let's avoid the paramilitary presence when you have
these big apparatus. And you remember that the police departments
nationally backed away from that, all that military apparatus that

(25:24):
was left over from our wars. They were given to
police departments, and police departments scaled that back. So the
narrative they want to go with is this is just
the beginning. This is Mission Creep. We're having first the
National Guard, but this is going to be the private
army of President Trump where the Republicans He's going to
try to retain power for a third term. And don't

(25:45):
you give into this authoritarian state. This is martial law,
and it's so fear based and really without substance in
my humble view. And the fact is, there is a
crime situation out of control, some fifty nine shootings, nine
deaths in Chicago, and for months, in years, nothing was

(26:08):
done to stop this. Under the Biden administration. The numbers
just went through the roof the quality of life life
in New York City, the level of crime, the graffiti.
I'm a personal believer that when you start not enforcing
quality of life crimes, it's the beginning of the end.
When you don't enforce theft, when you don't enforce a

(26:29):
property crime, that's the beginning of the end. And in
point of fact, many of these cities have a policy
of non enforcement. And I think with the presence of
the National Guard, you can't argue with the fact that
the numbers are down in DC and the residents are
liking it. Even the mayor is getting better numbers in
popularity the Democrats. Mayora.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Yeah, as far as I know, as of at least
this morning, that one homicide in the last three weeks
in DC, I don't even not a lot of violent
crime at all. And they've wiped out a whole bunch
of well, they've gotten a whole bunch of criminals off
the street, they got a whole bunch of drugs off
the street. And you know, as I said, I think
it was on Friday. As of Friday, they found five

(27:09):
missing children. I don't know how many more they found
over the weekend. But that alone should tell you that
what's going on is working. Now. Again, I couldn't agree
with you more on all accounts, But tell me, let's
say Trump decides to put National Guard troops into Chicago.
What are the legal ramifications of that.

Speaker 8 (27:30):
I think you're going to have challenges. You're gonna have
challenges by the mayor of Chicago, probably the governor of
the state of Illinois, because there is this relationship where
the National Guard is under the command of the governors
of the various states. At the same time, the National
Guard is part of our defense system, and you can
argue that the president is the executive in Chief of

(27:53):
the United States Army under which the National Guard falls.
So there's this duality of authority. Where it goes, I
don't know, but we can be assured that it's going
to end up in the courts. It's going to end
up in the district court, and it's going to be
appealed to a federal court, and perhaps even the Supreme
Court United States is going to have to weigh in.
There have been orders, as you know, in the past,

(28:14):
that have been upheld. We have a conservative bench with
the United States Supreme Court, and one can read the
tea leaves and say they will likely support this particular president.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
We're talking to retired Connecticut Superior Court Judge John Izarrow,
a good friend, my friend, a great friend of my show,
and I'm lucky to get a chance to get him
on as much as we can to sort of ease,
you know, listening to his expertise and wisdom on a
lot of these different areas. Judge switching gears a little bit.
The Trump administration was shot down on tariffs. They're now

(28:46):
appealing that. Can you give us that thirty thousand foot
view of what happened with his tariffs and how they
basically got taken away and now he's on an appeal,
so they got another month or so to deal with this.
What's going on there.

Speaker 8 (28:59):
I do think this is having an effect on the
financial markets. Oh boy, they've been rocked. If you looked
at your four oh one k today, all across the
boards on the NASDAQ, the New York Stock Exchange. Just
the question of how effective this is going to be.
I think it's a big psychological thing right now on
Wall Street, on Main Street, the negotiations, some of the

(29:21):
contracts or agreements have stalled, some of them have been successful,
So you win some, you lose some. The market is
a funny thing, I think whenever there's perceived instability, that's
what Wall Street doesn't like it. It's all about emotion.
And we'll see, hopefully later in the week the market
will be back up. The whole tariff philosophy, it's a

(29:42):
new thing. We're getting all kinds of revenue, that's a fact.
It's coming in. It's helping to create a revenue stream
that no one had accounted for. You know, in the
first term, the terriffs weren't talked about. But now they're
in action. So we'll see I'm optimistic. I'm optimistic.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Is there one thing that Trump has done so far,
Judge that you're very uncomfortable with? I know we have
talked about this before, like he's trying to throw as
much stuff on the at the wall as possible, see
what sticks, and then you know, sort of maneuver around
the legality of it. But is there something that he's
done so far that's made you a little bit uncomfortable?

Speaker 8 (30:17):
Well, we were talking off camera, off microphone about the
flag burning law, and this makes me uncomfortable. I mean,
as much as I find it reprehensible and I remember
dealing with people personally who would disparage the Stars and stripes,
I do believe this is protected speech when a person

(30:38):
burns a flag, And I think when it comes down
to the challenge, even our conservative bench of the United
States Supreme Court would probably find a problem with some
type of law that prohibits that. Again, it's distasteful, but
we don't want to regulate speech based upon content. You know,
it's whether kneeling at an NFL game to the Star

(31:00):
and stripes and star spangled banner. We have that right
to be offensive, and one can argue that's a fundamental
thing in our country that was built on again, the
first Amendment is numero uno for a reason, freedom of expression.
And when you have a law that regulates that first Amendment,
it must be for a compelling reason.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Judge, you know, I hate to say it. I agree.
And I caught a lot of flak over this on
the Morning Show because I feel like it's a it's
a slippery slope when you start to restrict that freedom
of speech and everything, sort of the wheels come off,
and you know where would you stop? I made mention. Okay,
so let's say you can't burn an American flag, then

(31:41):
can I burn let's say a police flag or a
flag honor? And remember, for our veterans, where do you stop?
Like at what point in time? We all know it's
bad taste. We all, at least those of us who
are I think true blue American patriots, we all know
it's terrible taste to burn a flag. But the idea
that you should be able to express yourself, as disrespectful

(32:02):
as that may be, I think you should be able
to do what. I'm with you on that, and I.

Speaker 8 (32:08):
Think there are scenarios where let's say you have an
oil refinery or you have a gas station. Not burning
flags or anything at that point would make abundant sense.
So there may be a compelling reason, But I tell
you we've had several hundred years of civil disobedience which
has included these types of demonstrations. I don't see it

(32:28):
changing again.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Judge John Tzarro is with us. Judge, before we get
to the break, where do people find you?

Speaker 8 (32:37):
Well, I'm privileged to practice with the firm of leven
rahas Cammas Are and wreck in North Stony, then Connecticut.

We're involved in mass toward litigation involving baby formula and

and we're representing all these families and mothers.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
All right, well, listen, you got another six minutes. Can
you hang out with us one more break?

Speaker 3 (33:06):
I do all right, I certainly can't.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
All right, hang on one minute and we'll come back
with the judge John Zarro. Always a pleasure to have
him on. I'll throw a couple other legal questions out

the show. If you're searching high and low for Wayne
Allen Root. He'll be back tomorrow night. So take a
deep breath and know that he's coming back, and we'll
be right here tomorrow night, saying bad time, saying bat Channel.
My name is Lee Elsie, the Voice of Freedom. My
special guest joining me right now is Judge John Azarro. Judge,

(37:05):
I wanted to ask you more of a I don't
know if it's a philosophical question as much as it
is anything else, but there's emerging technologies that are hitting
like AI and data privacies, et cetera, legal frameworks. How
do you see that unfolding here in the next couple
of years, and how does that impact legal actions? Like

(37:27):
you know, how do you deal with that as a judge?

Speaker 8 (37:32):
Well, I think that this is a whole new area.
There's going to be a whole area of regulation. I'm
not sure we lost the video there, but there's a lot,
a lot that's going to be needed. I think that
a lot of folks don't understand it. Whether it's through
television and through AI and artificial intelligence, a lot of

(37:53):
it has to be tested in the legal arena. It's
problematic because some of the stuff that's coming out is garbage,
and judges have entered orders requesting that lawyers identify whether
they're using artificial intelligence. I think there are grave social
implications that have not been thought out, and some have

(38:16):
said that, and so we have to be cautious going forward.
The technology is going to surpass all the regulation and
so we got to play catch up.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
Yeah, and I know even in the state of Connecticut
they were toying with the idea of legislation, I don't know,
putting a watermark on some of this video, and if
it's fake, it's got to have some kind of some
kind of a header or something, because you've got a
lot of these almost the revenge porn type situations that
are going on that could ruin somebody's life, and I

(38:46):
don't know where are you on that. Should there be
some kind of regulation that has that on the video?

Speaker 8 (38:53):
I think I think certainly there has to be regulation.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
I think the.

Speaker 8 (38:59):
Industry itself is aware of that. I mentioned I'm reluctant.
I got the one daughter, you know, who is a
news reporter. Then I've got a son who's involved in
social media. He's an executive with Meta and we were
having a discussion and he said you know, this is
a very awesome thing that they're working on, and there's
billions of people, millions and millions that are going to

(39:22):
be exposed to this, and there's a lot to be
thought out, and it's happening so fast. The technology is
happening so fast. Congress people, I'm pretty technologically challenged. But
there's a lot of education that is going to need
to take place because this stuff is scary, and you know,
we're going to have aside from robotics, the things that

(39:44):
they can do with video platforms, they're startling. You've probably
seen some of the information out there, so it really
has to be regulated.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Retarge, Connecticut Spirity Judge. Judge John Azarro is with us,
and we don't have a lot of time, Judge, and
I'm going to throw you a huge, one huge hang
and slider and you can hit it as far as
you want. Do you feel like you feel like the
Do you feel like judges nowadays are as impartial as
they should be. No.

Speaker 8 (40:15):
I think that there's a lot of pressures and politics
enters into the fray. What I get fearful of is
that judges are afraid, They're afraid to do the right thing.
Because of various pressures, and they really need to do
the right thing. I don't think we need a whole
gaggle of new laws passed every week every month. What's
happening in the District Columbia shows that if you use

(40:36):
the laws you have, you can restore order. It's the
same with guns and gun control and mental illness. We
pass a lot of laws, but at the same time
we're seeing more and more problems mental health. People were
very disturbed getting access to weapons legally. So it's not easy.

(40:56):
But we need to lock up bad guys and we
need to keep people in the community that are attempting
to recover from illness. But at the same time, judges
have to use the tools that are available and not
be afraid and not be afraid of criticism. That's important.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Now. I know this isn't an infomercial for you, but
I want I'm interested in what you're doing as a
lawyer now. And is this something that's a nationwide so
if somebody hears you, they can reach out to you
about this stuff, or is this more Connecticut centric.

Speaker 8 (41:25):
No, Actually, we are nationwide and we're involved very much
in the state of Illinois with state cases and you
folks can reach us at the law firm of Levin, Rohas,
cammis Are and Reck. Thank you for the commercial in
north Stonington, but we have a footprint in Hartford, Connecticut
as well. But we are involved in litigation across the country,
especially the litigation involving baby formula in Illinois, and we

(41:48):
recently relocated cases into the state courts. We continue to
litigate there. My talented partners, Steve Reck and Jose Rojas
are deeply involved in that as well as the others.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
We're running short on time. I saw you driving around?
Is that your pup? I saw in the front seat
as the sun was setting? Is that was that your dog?

Speaker 8 (42:06):
My little dog Daisy, driving this daisy around and she
rules the roost. She may be about ten pounds, but
you know, violating a few motor vehicle laws, having her
sent shotgun with the top down. It's fun.

Speaker 2 (42:21):
Well that's great. Listen, brother, I appreciate you coming on tonight,
I really do. I know people love your segments, and
I'll talk to you again on Friday, But thank you

I talking about it? I don't know. Somebody asked me
about it and then dig a little did a little
deep dive into assisted suicide, and I talked about it
on my morning show. I want to share it with you.
We'll do that when we come back. Stefanowski Bob Stefanowski
