Speaker 2 (00:17):
We want what is yours
like dead by dawn.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Dead by dawn Because
this week we recommend Evil Dead
2.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah groovy, yeah
Hell yeah, he'd do his screams
like.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
I love the little
hand or the head at the end,
just as a monkey.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Yeah, yeah.
What is your favorite Deadite?
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Oh man, I love the
little hand or the head at the
end, this is a monkey.
What is your favorite?
Speaker 2 (00:52):
deadite.
Oh man, Honestly it's thedancing girl.
The Nightmare Before Christmas,Like a little Barbie doll head
on is so great.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
It's probably
Henrietta when she goes like
full demon face or the demon inthe door at the end.
Yeah, that one's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
I like the hand.
Yeah, I love a severed hand.
That's true, it's like.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
The best part about
the Wednesday show was just the
little hand oh.
I haven't seen the new one, Ihaven't either, but it's just
like the old one.
Anytime, the hand popped upthing I'm like, well, I don't
know, it's the hairy cousin.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Give them better
names that I can remember no,
the names are perfect.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
We're off topic
already, so alright, we have
Evil Dead 1, a goofy horrormovie.
We have Evil Dead 2, evengoofier horror movie.
Which one did you prefer?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
I guess the second
one.
It's way more interesting to me.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Yeah, it's not scary
at all versus evil dead one has
a few moments where it's likethis is kind of scary.
This is I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Buster keaton meets a
cabin in a cabin in the woods
movie I think the scariest partwas when the the redneck guy the
overalls jumped him through thedoor on him.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah, it's like the
troop, the real horror we would
have in tennessee.
Yeah, it's, this is just.
This.
Is them getting a budget andjust being like let's go ham on?
Speaker 2 (02:21):
everything it was.
All most of their budget wasspent on, like Kool-Aid yeah,
corn syrup yeah the corn syrup.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
I got a few good
facts about all that and it's
great.
I just love that.
They're like let's up the ante, let's make it wetter, let's
make it grosser, let's make thetrees even like more
intimidating by having themalmost able to move.
He's getting sexual assaulttrees.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, gotta watchout for those guys.
When I was watching it I waslike all right, I told Jason
(02:51):
that there's not going to be anymore tree rape.
And then I saw the tree grabthe girl.
I was like am I misremembering?
something here I was like don'tdo it again.
And then I was like, ah, thetree just slammed her into a
tree, yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
What do you call that
For a guy?
I think it's like a nut buster.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
It's like battering
rammed her into a tree.
So I heard that there's a rumorthat every time Bruce Campbell
acts in a movie, an angel gets achin.
The guy has a chin.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
He's the best in the
business, chin, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
I can't remember what
is his.
He has a biography.
I almost spewed Dr Pepper.
I was like dang, I should havewaited for him to to finish
drinking that before I said thatline.
I couldn't sit on it anymorebut he has a biography called If
Chins Could Kill.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Oh man, Because he's
just got a chin.
That's amazing.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I will forever love
these Evil Dead movies.
Just because Sam Raimi was likeI love my best friend.
How much can I kick his ass?
Speaker 2 (04:00):
How much can I?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
make him kick his own
ass.
That's awesome.
Yeah, they came up from thestart.
Well, evil Dead Bruce Campbell.
He's in every single one of SamRaimi's movies, either as a
cameo or something.
That's incredible.
And he loves beating them up somuch, even to this day, that in
the new Doctor Strange movie hehas them literally just
punching himself for the wholemovie, and then the end credit
(04:21):
scene is him finally notpunching himself anymore, and
it's just so amazing.
So, uh, do you think this?
Speaker 2 (04:32):
movie's too goofy,
it's very perfect.
It was goofy so goofy, in fact, that I don't think I should
have been watching it alone.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah yeah, it'd be.
It's a great kind of like.
I have a bunch of people herewith me and we're watching it
and we're like wide awake andstuff.
So is this a sequel or is itnot a sequel?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Should I explain to
you what it is, please?
Most time when people aretalking about Evil Dead 2,
they're like, hey, it's thesequel to Evil Dead, but you
know it kind of isn't so.
According to reports, sam raimi, the mastermind of the evil
dead series, kicked around theidea of a sequel during
production of the original movie.
Several concepts wereconsidered by saint raimi and
(05:19):
future, uh, rainbow three, scribe sheldon litch by the
final idea laid the groundworkfor Armageddon Darkness.
Unfortunately, both Universaland 20th Century Fox ended up
passing on the potential sequel,so Rami decided to direct the
less than stellar Crime Waveinstead, which is a crazy movie
and it's just not very good.
It's like a crime movie that isslapstick comedy, kind of like
(05:42):
Evil Dead is a horror movie.
That's slapstick comedy, verymuch.
So then he decided to go backto Evil Dead 2.
Just kind of going to give youa whole history of the movie,
and so they're trying to figureout what to do with it.
And then they ended up gettinginfluenced by Hamburger Helper.
What?
So this is where things get kindof crazy.
So to refine the script forEvil Dead 2, Sam Raimi brought
(06:03):
in his friend Scott Spiegel.
Spiegel influenced a lot of thefranchise's direction with the
additions to the film, includingan added emphasis on slapstick
horror, Along with the ThreeStooges, which was an influence
on the entire series.
One influence was Spiegel'sshort film Attack of the Helping
Hand, where the mascot goes ona valiant rampage scene where
(06:27):
ash has to fight against his ownhands was influenced by the
short.
That's incredible, yeah.
And then so, um, stephen kinggot involved into getting the
sequel made.
So there was, uh, still ahurdle to deal with.
The film needed a distributor.
Famously, stephen king had sucha profound experience watching
the original Evil Dead that hepublicly endorsed the film.
King mentioned the idea ofproducing a sequel to movie
(06:48):
Kingpin, dino De Laurentis, andhistory was made.
Ironically, the guy had offeredan adaptation of King's Thinner.
I don't know if you've everseen that.
It's where a guy gets thinner.
No, I haven't seen that.
He gets cursed by someone at acarnival and no matter how much
he eats, he just gets skinnierand skinnier and can't gain
(07:09):
weight.
Uh, he offered that same ringme, but, uh, he turned down the
offer.
Um, but the guy didn't hold anygrudges and ended up doing evil
dead.
So evil dead 2 had right issues.
So, according to ash, uh, well, according to bruce, well,
according to Bruce Campbell, rights issues ended up leading
the film to become neither areboot or a sequel.
(07:32):
The original Evil Dead wasdistributed by New Line Cinema,
while Evil Dead 2 wasdistributed by the Dino guy,
which meant that Raimi and hiscrew couldn't get the rights to
their own movie.
This led to the first fewminutes of Evil Dead 2 being a
scaled down recap of the firstfilm.
That boils down the plot of thefirst film fairly quickly,
despite the opening Evil Dead 2almost making the original film
(07:54):
redundant.
So yeah, it's just essentiallylike let's take the parts that
matter of Evil Dead 1, just doit real quick Necklace head,
chainsaw, all the stuff.
Is it the same cabin?
So no, it's actually filmedlike 270 miles away in North
Carolina, westboro, northCarolina.
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Yeah, but is it
supposed to be in the movie?
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Yeah, it's supposed
to be the same place.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
He comes back to the
cabin.
He's always making terribledecisions for women.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
You know how in Evil
Dead 1, you got the whole people
, they all die and then at thevery end, ash is like I win, and
then all of a sudden the evillike comes through the house and
kicks through the door and likegoes at his face and then it
cuts to black.
So this whenever the girl diesand then he's just like standing
in the woods and the evil comesand then he turns into demonic.
(08:47):
Yes, ash, technically, when theevil comes at his face, that's
where the new movie begins.
Evil always comes to your face.
It always comes right in yourmouth.
But yeah, so it is a, it's arecap of a movie and then into a
(09:08):
sequel.
But the recap is also notcompletely like the original.
Yeah, so they just did it again.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Which is fun there's
also.
You got the rat in the cellar.
Towards the end they named therat Senior Cajones, which is Mr
Testicles.
Yes, I bet he had huge balls.
Yeah, let's see, man, rats dohave huge balls, do they?
I've never really seen ratballs, goddamn man.
(09:37):
I guess I should look some upone time.
John Normus, so Henrietta thedemon in the cellar.
That was Sam Raimi's brother init and because it was in North
Carolina during, like the summer, he was sweating a lot and he
said he would take off hiscostume and literally just like
a bucket of sweat would pour outof him.
(09:59):
Which I feel like happens almostevery single time that they
anybody films something likewith a lot of prosthetics, they
always say, yep, buckets ofsweat fell out of me.
Gross Holly Hunter.
Do you know who?
That is the mom in Incredibles.
Her voice.
Yeah, she's also in a ton ofother stuff, and that was
(10:20):
Raising Arizona broadcast.
Yes, she's also.
I thought it's the rich lady,right?
She's not in this movie.
Oh, she was going to be in thismovie because Sam Raimi lived
with the Coen brothers, FrancisMcDormand and Kathy Bates and
Holly Hunter Goddamn, wildfucking house.
So much talent and so muchmoney to be made in that house
(10:41):
Little do they know.
But she was not able to get in.
For whatever reason she wasn'table to be in the film.
But I just every time I think Ieven mentioned this last time,
but I just have to constantlykeep saying the fact that Sam
Raimi, the Coen brothers,Francis McDormand, Holly Hunter
and Kathy Bates all lived in ahouse together.
Why don't we?
(11:01):
That should be their next thing.
So I don't know if you noticedthere's a weird kind of
production company at thebeginning and end of the movie.
It's called Rosebud ReleaseCorporation.
So you know about the MPAA.
They're the ones that rate themovies.
All right, yeah.
So the original film wascontroversial for its staggering
level of violence and gore, somuch so that it was dubbed a
(11:23):
video nasty in England Videonasty, which means you cannot
watch this movie.
Everyone knew that Evil Dead 2would be given an X by the MPAA,
so Raimi Campbell and RobertTapper came up with a plan.
At the time, dino's productioncompany had a deal with the MPAA
that prohibited him fromreleasing X-rated films.
So Raimi and crew set up theRosebud Releasing Corporation,
(11:46):
which allowed them to distributethe movie without the MPAA's
input.
So they did a loophole.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
It's so cool yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
And I don't see how
you could say that this movie is
X-rated.
In the 80s man People were like, oh no, there's so much demonic
stuff in it.
We can't allow anybody to watchthis.
And it's just like this is thegoofiest shit you've ever seen.
But you know, this is likearound satanic panic shit and
stuff like that.
So you know, everybody had astick up their butt.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
I guess the US wasn't
the only place that had a
satanic panic.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
I think it was kind
of everywhere that Christianity
kind of was around rightEverywhere the light touches.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
Everywhere the light
touches.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Simba.
There's satanic panic going onAll right, and so the large
demonic head Ash battles in theclimax of the film, which the
crew nicknamed the RottenApplehead was too large and
cumbersome for the crew to carryback to California, so it was
left in north carolina and soondisappeared.
Its whereabouts were unknownfor a number of years until it
was found in a halloween hauntedhouse attraction just outside
(12:54):
the original shooting locationof wade's barrel, north carolina
.
That's great, how great.
You're just like walking in thewoods like what the hell is
that?
Then you're like we have ahaunted house attraction.
This would be perfect loveghosts up there I would assume
they probably watched the moviewas like, hey, that's filmed
right down the road, let's go tothis place.
(13:15):
And then they're like what theheck?
They left props.
Oh man, I would be ec ecstatic.
So one last thing the scenewhere ashes doused in blood
coming from the walls was filmedby placing Bruce Campbell
horizontally on the floor andthen pouring gallons of fake
blood on him from above.
The scene was the scene wasfilmed with the camera turned 90
(13:38):
degrees to create the illusionthat he was standing upright,
was standing upright.
So much blood was dumped onCampbell that not only did, he
feel like he was nearly drowning.
He would also produce red snotfor the next couple two weeks,
or the next two weeks every timehe blew his nose.
To make matters worse, hisinsistence that authentic Cairo
syrup right, Cairo, yeah, Cairosyrup whatever Formula was used
(14:02):
to simulate the blood made him atarget for every fly in the
neighborhood.
So he's covered in flies forthe rest of the filming that
sucks.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
My dad used to buy
that shit for pancakes.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
I have some here to
make fake blood.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
Really yeah Sweet.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
I've had it for like
10 years, nice, since the last
time I used it.
I wonder if it's crystallizedor maybe I got like some, maybe
I got some new stuff, I don'tknow, but yeah I do know.
Like when I first saw it islike all the stuff was at the
bottom, like I guess the sugaror syrup or whatever, and then
there's like clear stuff at thetop and I was like, well, this
(14:38):
is gross.
Yeah, we used to eat that.
That's nuts, I think.
Me and Natalie used it for, uh,we got married and it was the
day before uh, halloween when wegot married.
So we came back home onhalloween and we're like, oh, we
gotta do, we should just dolike a funny goofy costume just
hanging out around the house.
So we did um billy and uhblanking on her name from uh
(15:02):
scream, I was the killer and shewas sydney yeah, yeah, it was
fun.
Yeah, just for us.
Just for us.
It's a little fun thing for us.
You know that's great cool.
I feel like that's a lot ofstuff at the very beginning, so
we should probably move into theplot, right yeah and before we
get into it we want to know.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
We are gonna try to
figure out the point of evil
dead 2 and, if you can, pleasetell me, yes, is there?
Speaker 1 (15:29):
a point, or is it
just inner god dang dang baby,
all right.
So let's start evil dead 2.
So film starts and we learnabout the necronomicon, or the
book of the dead.
Its pages are written in blood.
It will make demons come foryou, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
You say the magic
words and we never see the book
Really.
Yeah, isn't that crazy?
Speaker 1 (15:53):
Because it was burned
in the first movie and we
didn't see it burn in this movie.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
But I'm assuming it
burned.
That sucks, they could havejust made another one.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Well, it is at the
beginning, but then you like you
don't see it after the restbecause it's technically burned
in the temple or whatever.
Yeah, yeah, because that guy onthe tape, so the first like
five, 10 minutes of the film, essentially acts as an edited
account of the first evil dead.
The alternate version startswith protagonist Ashley J
Williams Ash for short and hisgirlfriend Linda driving to an
(16:24):
abandoned cabin high in themountains.
I don't know.
Man, right, like you, just Likeif someone drove me, like we're
gonna stay in this cabin, I'dbe like.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
We're gonna.
We're not renting, it's just ahouse.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, it's
technically supposed to be his
cousins right.
Well, no, I thought you justsaid Well it used to be his
cousins and then now it's thisgirl's.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
I don't know, just
banking on that, no one will be
there.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Yeah, and then it's
not gonna be covered in spiders
and bugs.
It's like, nah, like I'll comeup here, like a week before
we're gonna stay clean it up andthen we come back.
So, within the cabin, ash playsa piano while Linda dances in
her underwear.
Yeah, he's pretty good.
He has recently given her asilver chain with a little
magnifying glass.
So, within the cabin, ash playsa piano while Linda dances in
her underwear yeah, he's prettygood.
Yeah, he's pretty good.
He has recently given her asilver chain with a little
magnifying glass on it.
He's like you know, afterthey're done, she's done dancing
(17:13):
goes up to her.
He's like hey, what do you say?
We have some champagne.
Huh, baby.
After all, I'm a man and you'rea woman.
At least the last time Ichecked, huh, and you're a woman
.
At least the last time Ichecked, huh.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Dude, his face is so
good there, he's so cartoonish.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
I know he's ugh Like.
I just wish I knew BruceCampbell.
I'd be like yeah, I have to putyour face on film as soon as
possible.
Your chin, it's great.
So when Ash goes into anotherroom to get a bottle of
champagne and Linja changes outof the rest of her clothes, he
finds a reel-to-reel tape playerand switches it on.
(17:47):
Bum, bum, bum.
The recording explains that thecabin belongs to Professor
Raymond Noby, who was busytranslating pages from the
Necronomicon Ex Mortis, and thefirst one, I believe it's called
Mortum Demento.
In the recording it's calledthe Book of the Dead, which they
(18:09):
found in the castle of Kandarbeside a ceremonial knife with a
skull on its handle.
Love that knife it looks.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
I didn't know it was
a knife, I just thought it was
like a, maybe a magic wand, it'slike of course.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
How do you kill a
demon?
Stabbing it with a person'sspinal cord that went to a point
with a face that goes, hey, make sure you stab me in
somebody.
All right, recitation on thebook's passages that this dark
(18:46):
spirit is given license topossess the living, and then
proceeds to recite one of thepassages which isn't smart,
which awakens an evil force thatpossesses Linda like breaks
through the window, she's likescreaming, and then Ash is like
what?
Come on, baby.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
What are you?
Speaker 1 (19:03):
possessed.
So, discovering Linda'sdisappearance in a shattered
window, ash ventures outside andis attacked by a now demonified
Linda.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
Yeah, when he chops
her head off with a shovel.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
I just love when she
pops up.
It's like and then she'swalking and they're wearing
those like stuff.
That, what are they like?
Clouds your eyes type ofcontacts.
Thing is when they used themeven in the first movie and this
one they still couldn't see inthis one.
So when you see her walking, she's like she's kind of
struggling a little bit and it'sgreat, so panicking.
(19:37):
That terrified Ash gets luckyand manages to decapitate the
love of his life with a handyshovel.
Following this, ash decides todo the decent thing and bury his
new headless girlfriend keepingthe silver necklace as a
pendant.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
I was just like what
are we doing here, ash?
What do you mean?
When someone dies, you take yougo to the cops.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Yes, yeah, you have
to report it you can't just bury
a person.
I know, it's just like now Iguess I assume that we skipped a
section where he learned fromthe first movie that he got to
like decapitate them and removeall their arms and stuff and
bury them.
That's the only way to stop it.
Maybe we just skip that part inthis first one.
(20:21):
I forgot about that too themovie's just trying to say don't
fucking think about it.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
I mean, that's what I
told myself too, I'm like I'm
thinking too much.
It's like there's no reason forthis.
Let's not think so.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
now that we're at the
end of the first film, the evil
force sweeps through the woodsand cabin and spins.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
The stress.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Ashley the woods
possessing him, um evil.
Flying through the cabin isalways amazing, just like
bashing through the doors.
Yeah, it's so good and it'sjust like they even got it right
in the first film and they madeit better in this one by it not
obviously just being peoplepulling strings and opening the
door.
This time the doors are flyingoff and stuff yeah, so great.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
I do like this whole
section where he's kind of going
crazy or he thinks he's goingcrazy yeah.
That's pretty cool yeah, andthen he's great.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Possessed makeup he
really looks mean, and then he
like falls into the littlepuddle and pops up.
He's like but then, like, fortunately the sun's coming up
and it's just like leaves him,and so then, he's fucked up,
yeah, um, and so, like the mist, retreats back into the trees in
(21:28):
the woods, um, and thecloudiness from ash's eyes
leaves.
Ash is perfectly healthy now,if not uh kind of depressed and
stuff, because he just killedhis girl and uh, he does what
anybody would do.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Uh, pass the fuck out
yeah, he just sleeps there on
that puddle he's like, forget it.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Who even cares if I
die at this point?
I'm exhausted.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
I guess he has been
up all night killing someone and
burying their body.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Plus he had to drive
all the way there, and he was so
close to having sex, so thatwas probably exhausting too, but
he didn't have power steering,so it was really hard.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Probably yeah you
ever driven a car without power
steering?
Yeah, it sucks ass.
I tried and I was like I hurtmy arm.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
I like tried to turn
the car and I was like, ah, I
should have stretched.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
I didn't realize how
hard this would be.
It's like you're trying tosteer a pirate ship in a storm.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Yeah, it's just not
worth driving, so superimpose
face on it and hears a voicesaying join us ash bravely, uh
gets into his oldsmobile andmakes a dash for freedom, only
(22:35):
to find that the bridge is nowdestroyed by evil evil.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Yeah that, uh, that
was weird that the bridge was
all like, yeah, it all curled up.
Yeah, it's great.
Like what did that?
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
Evil.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Did the bridge get
possessed?
Whatever is in the woods going?
Really fast towards peoplethat's what did it, I guess, or
maybe that giant face at the endis just like, just like biting
it while he's sleeping.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
So and then the sun
goes down very quickly, yeah,
super classic.
And you get this rad-ass shot, dude, where it's just like it's
obviously him in front of kindof a green screen.
You get this very cinematic sungoing down with a car in the
background and he's just liketurning Abnormally quick.
Eye-fucking-conic bro.
It's like my favorite shot inthe whole thing.
Not really, we will get there.
(23:26):
And yet again evil is pursuing.
Uh, he's like gets in his car.
He's driving off, it's likefalling behind him, but then he
kind of speeds up.
They got branches like hittinghim in the face as he's driving
a.
Uh, he runs into a street treeand the car with the car and
abruptly is thrown from the carthrough the windshield and
crashes onto the ground.
He runs the rest of the wayfrom the car through the
windshield and crashes onto theground.
He runs the rest of the waythrough the woods to the cabin
(23:47):
and the pursuit continues.
There are at least nine doorsor like a hundred doors Don't
know how many doors in thiscabin and an unfinished hallway
in the small cabin, or he'srunning between the walls or
something.
That's what I thought too.
And then he's finally able toevade it by into this little,
the little what do you call it?
Like trap door that leads tothe attic or bunker, or whatever
(24:09):
you call it?
Speaker 2 (24:10):
I don't know the
fruit cellar.
Yeah, yeah, the fruit cellar.
I don't know it was a fruitcellar, it's a root cellar.
Who would put?
Speaker 1 (24:17):
a fruit in that
cellar.
There's rats all in it.
There's rats all in it.
And then evil is just likelooking around like meh I'll
come back later and retreatsback into the woods.
Yeah, man, this.
Uh, I love the little chasethrough the cabin.
It's so good and it, but itjust makes me think like can I
like go to this cabin and seehow in the world this cabin is
(24:39):
laid out?
Is every room like four by four, four feet by?
Speaker 2 (24:43):
four feet.
It seems super tiny from theoutside.
Yeah, and then there might betwo rooms.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Yeah, and turns out
there might be nine to ten rooms
.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Maybe that's like
what's what's supposed to be
scary, yeah it's like uncanny ofhow many rooms are in there.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
so at an airport we
meet, annieby arrives.
She arrives by plane with awith 300 year old pages of the
Book of the Dead and is pickedup by her boyfriend, ed.
They start their drive to thecabin to join her father, and I
love it.
They're like, oh, so I heardyou found some something.
It's like, yeah, some pages.
(25:19):
Oh, really, is this a big deal?
It's like, yeah, it could benothing or a doorway to another
world, like, yeah, I mean, thoseare usually the two options I
guess she's a real historian.
If I was the boyfriend, I'd belike, yeah, doorway to another
world, sure lady, let's just goto this hopefully romantic habit
so read to you, like in the newshow, when ash is reading the
(25:43):
necronomicon to his date andthen it awakens the dead again.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
It's like oops god I
gotta, I gotta go back and
re-watch that show is so goodhe's working at the fucking
supermarket, supermarket, that'swhat it's called.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
that's how the first
movie begins the shop and save
or something.
That's where he works in.
Uh, army of darkness at thebeginning, because every one of
these movies starts offdifferent than how the last
movie ended, almost kind of likethe Resident Evil movies that
came out, except it's funnier inthe actual good movies.
So Ash wakes up and is superscared.
(26:21):
He walks through the housebecause he's trying to find
what's in there and finds apiano playing itself.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (26:27):
playing the song that
he was playing.
Yeah, I think so, right, yeah.
And then the music, even thoughit is reminding him of Linda,
makes him completely not think.
Hey, ghost, what's playing?
Speaker 2 (26:39):
This piano.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
There it is, and so
he takes the silver necklace
from his pocket.
Then suddenly some boardsbarricading a window fall.
Looking outside, he seesLinda's grave marker fall over
in her headless and alreadybadly decomposed corpse.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Yeah, he just buried
her, like yesterday, yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
And it reanimates and
dance, like she's in Nightmare
Before Christmas.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
That was amazing it's
great.
Spinning pops off her head.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
It's just like what
Jack Skellington does.
Deb Burton, you stole it fromEvil Dead and she leaps into the
woods.
Yeah, I love that it gets ahead and it's obviously a Barbie
doll, but it's like super freshcompared to her composed body,
and so her moves includeseductively straddling a tree
(27:26):
limb.
She then vanishes into the darklike she just jumps off, then
reappears just outside thewindows and grabs Ash telling
him to dance with her.
After being slammed into thewindow barricade several times,
he breaks free and Linda Headsfalls off again.
And then Ash all of a sudden isback in his chair screaming,
thinking was it all a dream?
Who knows, was the dancingcorpse a dream?
Speaker 2 (27:49):
I don't know the
window barricade seems intact.
But then suddenly Linda's head, smiling head, drops into Ash's
lap, says hello, lover, andbites his hand hard and between
the thumb and forefinger yeah, hello lover, he can hand hard
and between the thumb andforefinger he can't slam her
head into everything trying toget it off.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
Trying to move it,
just like keep slamming it.
It's just like gah, gah, gah.
But then he's like, ooh, workshed.
Hell yeah, oh man, the workshed.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
And though it goes to
the work shed clamps her head
in a.
It's causing to release itsgrip.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
It starts to mock Ash
.
He reaches from the spot of thetool shelf marked for the
chainsaw but it's not there for, like the first movie.
It's so good, but Jason, wherecould the chainsaw be?
Maybe the headless torso has it.
Linda's got it, bro, when thattorso comes in and it's
(28:41):
obviously like a puppet or Idon't know.
Maybe it's somebody in a suitand it's just like, just like
going all over the place.
It's so funny, it sticks itselfinto itself Because he like
ricochets the chainsaw with likea crowbar or something and it
goes in her and it's like Like ahacksaw or something.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Yeah, that was good
thinking.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
So good and I don't
know.
It's just cinema, man, justcinema, wildest shit.
It's just like was he the firstperson to think of this?
He's the only person to everthink what if a headless person
was running in with a chainsawand somehow it got the chainsaw
(29:26):
stuck on itself and startedcutting itself in half?
Speaker 2 (29:29):
Am I the first person
to think of?
Speaker 1 (29:30):
that let's just put
it on screen and see what
happens.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
So he pries the
chainsaw from the body and the
detached arm still holding itand yanks on the pool start cord
.
The head, looking much nicer, begs not to be hurt, then spews
black bile and turns evil again.
It gets all in his mouth andthen Ash destroys it, cutting it
in half and spewing blood allover the shed and turning the
light red.
That's awesome.
(29:55):
Yeah, that was pretty cool.
It's always good when movies dothat, covering the light the
sole light source with blood andeverything becomes red.
I think this is the first time Iremember seeing that.
Yeah, I mean, maybe there waslike a 70s movie that did it or
something Probably, probablylike maybe a Friday the 13th
movie, maybe, yeah, but it'sgreat.
Same for me, a master of this.
(30:17):
So, upon returning to the cabinand trading the chainsaw for a
double barrel shotgun or aboomstick he doesn't call it
that on returning to the cabinand trading the chainsaw for a
double barrel shotgun or aboomstick, he doesn't call it
that though.
No, that's Army of Darkness.
Yeah, A handful of extra shells.
Ash is further frightened by anunseen entity moving the
rocking chair and moaning.
You know it stops whenever hewalks up to you and is going to
(30:37):
put his hand in it.
It's like just don't do it.
Shoot it with your shotgun andhope something happens.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
I know he pulled Just
don't do it, shoot it with your
shotgun and hope somethinghappens.
I know he like pulled theshotgun back, like hey, you're
not going to do it, you're notgoing to shoot you, he's just
trying to touch you.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Yeah.
So, thinking he's going crazy,he just drops his shotgun and
tries to console himself bytelling his reflection in the
mirror that everything is fine.
However, his reflectionsuddenly comes to life, leans
out of the mirror and it's alllike demonic looking and
(31:10):
contradicts him, laughing atAsh's situation and then choking
Ash before vanishing, leavingAsh holding himself by the
throat.
And then he taps the mirrorwith his right hand.
Just an ordinary mirror again.
Yeah, he's losing it, butanyway.
So after he like pulls back, all of a sudden some best stuff
happens.
His hand gets dark veins on it,like the thing yeah, like all
spewing from the bite room onthe edge of Ash's right hand as
it mutates and grows longerfingernails and it begins to
(31:33):
move around under its owncontrol and make strange
laughing noises.
Then starts attacking Ash bygrabbing his face, growling at
him and shit.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
This shit is the
funniest stuff.
What if it was doing like thelittle mouth you can do with
your thumb?
Speaker 1 (31:47):
Hey Ash, I'm your
hand.
Okay, little googly eyes on it.
I'm going to kill you.
You hear it's like why is myhand all of a sudden a gangster?
Speaker 2 (31:53):
from the 1930s.
Is it because Jesse can only dothat type?
Speaker 1 (31:59):
of impersonation.
So he holds it down and screamsto be given back his his hand.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
You bastards, give me
back my head and then does he
try to drown it.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
Yeah, is that what
he's?
Doing but before that, annieand ed drive to a block, uh, uh
like drives to the bridge, butit's blocked by workman jake
putting a barricade in front ofthe destroyed bridge.
Then suddenly we see Bobby Joethere too, leaning on their car.
I love like the reveal of BobbyJoe.
It's like, possibly, like italmost feels like some badass
(32:31):
reveal the way it's just liketurns to her and it's like, yeah
, she's here too, I guess, justleaning on their car.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
Yeah, see I thought
that they were going to try to
kill the other couple when theywere like follow us on this
trail.
That's what it feels like,right?
Speaker 1 (32:46):
no, they were totally
legit well, it's because
everybody gives a maniacal smile, but it's everybody's just
feeling like they're duping theother because of the hundred
dollars.
It's like a weird little partat the end, like, okay, yeah,
guys, can we get back to theevil stuff in the cabin?
But yeah, they're saying thatthere's no other roads.
At the end, like, okay, yeah, guys, can we get back to the
evil stuff in the cabin?
But yeah, they're saying thatthere's no other roads that lead
(33:07):
to the cabin.
And they say that there's asmall trail in the woods and
they would lead them there for$40.
Oh, no, $100.
And he says, sure, if theycarry the luggage.
And the redneck people are like, yeah, we got them $100 to walk
down a trail.
Yeah.
And then Annie's just like bythe way, I have a trunk that
somehow fit in my car.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
I don't know.
Is that another Oldsmobile theywere driving?
It looked like it.
They have giant trucks.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
It almost looks like
the same car.
Essentially it does.
Yeah, I think it probably is,yeah.
So then we cut to Ash trying todrown a hand, and the hand's
getting the upper hand andstarts smashing dishes all over
him it's so good, it's so goofyand starts banging his head in
the sink, starts hitting him andeven is able to flip him over
(33:56):
and after a few more plates, itspots a claver and starts
dragging Ash's unconscious bodytowards it.
That was hilarious.
But the funniest thing is isjust like when he's laying on
the ground he just gives likeone more little bowl, like dink,
it's just like, dude, it's sofucking good, it's so ridiculous
and funny, I know.
(34:17):
But as the hand is getting tothe cleaver, ash wakes up and
stabs his own hand, pinning itto the floor.
That's right.
Who's laughing now?
He's going completely crazy.
It's just Bruce Campbell hasjust an amazing face.
Snake, can you stop please?
Are you possessed by a Kandordemon?
No, he seems like he is so, andhe hacks it off with the very
(34:42):
chainsaw he used moments ago tocarve his lover to pieces.
I hope I never have to cut myown hand off.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
I love how he's
laughing maniacally while he's
sawing his own hand off, puts atrash can on top of it.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
Yeah, because that's
like, and then like.
While he's down he's like who'slaughing now?
And then like blood spewing inthe face and it's just like yes,
man, yes, that's something thatthe remake in, like 2013 gets
so right, but like in not agoofy way, just gets like the
(35:15):
whole something fucking metal asshit is happening.
And then it's like, yeah, bloodspewing all over you and it's
just like, ladies and gentlemen, filmmaking it's amazing.
So then we see Annie, Ed andBobby Joe are proceeding through
the dark woods, trailed by Jakestruggling along under a huge
trunk, a giant trunk, that'sawesome.
(35:37):
So Ash traps his amputated handunder a tin and a few books,
including a farewell to arms, sogood, and he binds the stump of
his arm with cloth and ducttape.
But his rough hand escapes andhides inside the walls.
Ash fires several shells intothe wall and the hand taunts him
, gives him the finger yeah.
(35:59):
And then he gets stuck in a rattrap.
He's laughing at it, yeah.
Then it gets stuck in a rattrap.
He's laughing at it, yeah.
After several more shots, thewalls begin to bleed, then spew
like essentially like fire hosesthroughout the whole.
That was awesome, spraying ashand cover the entire room in
blood.
Then it sucks it all back in.
Yeah, ugh, so good.
(36:19):
What the hell's happening?
It's just, you know, spewingblood from walls.
It just never will get old, allright it's all good.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
I had no idea,
because I've never seen this one
.
Yeah, I had no idea the amountof, like the volume of blood
that was gonna get coming out ofplaces.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Well, it's like when
you watch the first one there's
so much like claymation typestuff and more like ooze and
then blood and it really goeslike insane with all the
puppetry and stuff in the firstone and in this one they're like
, wow, we can't just redo that.
What if everything spews bloodall over Bruce Campbell's face?
What if we just did that 24-7in this movie?
(36:56):
Oh yeah, and it turns out itworks.
So suddenly the blood turnsblack and vanishes back into the
walls.
Ash sits on a chair and itbreaks under wrist weight.
That's awesome, it's like justconstantly something, just
nothing can go right, it's justevil is like if we can't get you
, we will make sure we areconstantly pranking you, yeah
that might be the most evilthing that happens.
It's just like you know a newgirl, you have winston, who
(37:18):
either pranks too hard or toolittle.
Yeah, it's like what if we justlike like, burn his shoe and
spread some ashes right outsideof his car?
It's like that's not a prank.
Or it's just like what if wecut off his head?
It's like this is like demonicWinston, essentially from New
Girl.
It's like no, bro, this is justa prank, Don't worry.
So in one of my this.
(37:40):
Honestly, I think this is myfavorite part of the entire
movie.
So Ash, now laying on theground because of the chair
breaking under, goes and looksat this deer head and it is
laughing maniacally.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
It's just a mounted
deer head.
It's laughing like crazy andsuddenly everything, all the
items in the house startslaughing.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
It's like lamps
cabinets.
It's like lamps cabinets.
Books Join in.
It's Beauty and the Beastdemonic way, and Ash, who
appears to be losing his sanity.
Laughs along with him, and he'slike Oompa loompaning with him,
and it's just.
I get the biggest laugh out ofthat scene and it's just great
(38:20):
Cause, like all the Stuff iskind of going with him.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
It's like yeah, we're
all having fun here.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
Then he stops for a
the stuff is kind of going with
him.
It's like yeah, we're allhaving fun here.
Then he stops for a second andeverything kind of stops and
he's like I'm just doing itagain.
Oh man, it's just like whothinks of that?
Who thinks of it?
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Was this all Bruce's
idea?
Speaker 1 (38:38):
No, I think it's
Raimi, and whoever the other
writer was.
It's so good, so good.
But then all of a sudden, thelaughter ends abruptly when Ash
hears movement outside the doorand unloads a shotgun into it.
So the people at the door areAnnie and the gang who has pages
of the Necronomicon with her.
Ash shoots through the door, clearly on his last nerve.
(38:58):
The results in grazing Bobby, joe, ed and Jake beat Ash as
Annie notices the absence of herparents in the cabin After
seeing the blood on the chainsawand on Ash and pretty much
every square foot of the housethey come to the conclusion that
he killed Annie's parents.
The four newcomers throw Ashinto the fruit cellar Classic.
Speaker 2 (39:20):
Why call it a fruit
cellar?
Speaker 1 (39:21):
I don't know, but
that's what they call it.
Why call it a fruit?
Speaker 2 (39:23):
cellar?
Speaker 1 (39:23):
I don't know, but
that's what they call it.
Is there a lot of fruit inNorth Carolina?
Maybe that's what demons arelike.
This has to be a fruit cellarright.
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Maybe they didn't
want to call it a root cellar.
Speaker 1 (39:32):
Yeah, I mean yeah,
I've never heard fruit cellar
before.
I've heard wine cellar, rootcellar cellar, tortures chamber.
I don't know so Annie tortureschamber?
I don't know so.
Annie, ed, jake and bobby joe.
I mean, here's the thing, here's how you know a movie is
good, when they see a characterand they're like what should we
(39:52):
name her?
What about bobby joe?
That's how you know it's gonnabe a good movie.
So they listen to recordings ofprofessors nobies, noobies, I
don't know how to say it whenthey learned that Nobie killed
Henrietta, annie's mother, aftershe became possessed, and
buried her body in the fruitcellar Probably after he made
that recording of him readingfrom the book.
(40:13):
Yeah, and I love it because thisis where you have Ash, down at
the bottom of the steps withSenior Cajones just listening to
the thing.
You know he's listening to itand I was like I bet not, like
nothing will pop out of theground anytime soon, because
suddenly henrietta then risesfrom the grave and attacks ash.
Henrietta, someone's in myfruit cellar, someone with a
(40:36):
fresh soul.
So the other four hear all thishappening, like someone's down
there with them probably nobodyright, probably not henrietta
and they release him from thebasement.
So the other four hear all thishappening it's like someone's
down there with them Probablynobody right, probably not
Henrietta and they release himfrom the basement, hauling him
out by his head and force thedemon wife into the cellar,
although this procedure resultsin Jake getting grabbed by the
(40:57):
face, ed similarly grabbed andthrown into the wall and Bubby
Joe getting a mouthful of flyingeyeballs.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
Oh, that was great.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
She swallowed it.
Yeah, that's how you getpossessed.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
I was sitting there
watching it.
I was like don't go in hermouth, Don't go in her mouth.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
And then like
Henrietta's face starts getting
like that wonky, snake-likelooking face or whatever they're
like slamming it.
Slamming the cellar door on her.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
Luckily they and
they're like slamming it
slamming the cellar door on herand luckily they're able to lock
her in there like an ancientlock.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Yeah, lock was crazy,
yeah I guess what happened to
the husband to the, the dad oroh uh, we'll find out in a
second.
Oh yeah.
So ash explains to the groupthat there is something evil in
the woods.
As we see evil heading for thecabin, bum, bum, bum.
Henrietta takes human form andtries to persuade Annie to let
(41:51):
it out.
Ash sees through this trick andgrabs Annie and shakes his head
.
It's like no, that's not her.
Annie says that thing in thecellar is not my mother.
At this point it becomesapparent that Ed too has become
possessed, levitating, and takesa bite out of Bobby Joe's hair
and tells him all that, yeah, that was gross.
We are the things that wear.
It shall be again, ah.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
She should probably
see a doctor if her hair can
come out that easily.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
God, I love Ed's
demon face man.
When things just like startgoing batshit crazy and like
people start, the demonic voicehappens and then it's like
everything starts laughing alongwith it.
It's like comforting for mesomehow.
So I see it, I'm just like, oh,this is great, this is pure joy
(42:36):
, this is this has been a goodmorning so far.
Um, and it's like spirits ofthe book we want your life, life
dead by dawn dead by dawn, swallow yours oh man, demon head
dude.
I can't explain to you howhorrifying that would be to see,
but how I don't know.
Man, I see it.
I'm just like I want to hangout.
(42:57):
He was at a party.
Yeah.
So jake is thrown up and breaksthe light bulb with his head.
Ash appears to flee, but as theothers have been frozen with
fear, ash returns brandishing anaxe.
He hacks Ed to pieces, sprayinggreen slime everywhere, and
then so With an axe and air, yeah, and then, like everything
kind of calms down for a second.
(43:18):
Jake notices through thebarricade window that the trail
that came in ain't there no more, because what we'll learn soon
trees can move.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
Some trees can.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
Yeah, and then the
clock's pendulum stops suddenly
and it's very quiet for a moment, following some ricocheting
sound effects.
All of a sudden like, and justlike, random noises, like I
think there's like a monkeysound and there's like some,
like human sounds and everythinglooks flat.
Yeah, it's.
They put like a weird likeeffect on it.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
I don't know what it
is, but it made it uncomfortable
to look at 2d or something, butthey took a picture of it and I
turned it this way yeah, it'svery strange and I I really wish
I knew how they did it.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
I looked at the
special features.
I couldn't couldn't findanything on how they filmed that
, um.
But yeah, I just love the factthat they're like all turning
their head like it's trying tofigure out where it's going from
watching a ricocheting bulletand so then, um, ash starts
walking around and everybody'skind of coming with him, or
ain't?
annie's comes with him, um, andthen we see the spirit of
(44:20):
annie's father pop up.
I must have fallen asleepduring that part.
Oh gotcha, yeah, this is where, like it looks like they
essentially just projected it onthe wall and it's kind of like
no, I didn't see that.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
I just didn't know
that that was her dad.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
And it's very like
when it cuts to what's the
demon's name in Azulu orwhatever In.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
The Exorcist.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
It kind of has that
where the whole face is white
and the darkness, so it likepops out the eyes a little bit.
Yeah, the professor appearsghostlike before them and says
that the pages and he possessesare the key to spelling the evil
deed dead, and it will alsosave his soul.
So I'm assuming he's in hell.
Somehow he got out and was ableto go to the cabin.
I don't know.
(45:00):
He's like all right.
We've been just punching in theballs for about three months
now, so we'll give you a littlebreak and go talk to your
daughter.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
So Bobby Joe, put
that pineapple away.
Yeah, that's not for him.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
Bobby Joe then
discovered Ash's possessed,
disembodied hand holding hers, and she screams and knocks down
their only oil lamp and runsinto the forest, where then we
see the most sexually aggressivetrees.
I love evil trees yeah I mean.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
To be sure, less rape
in a movie is always better.
Speaker 1 (45:32):
Yes, and luckily they
do not do that in this movie,
but it does kind of like caressher mouth.
Yeah, and like rips her shirt alittle bit and it's just like
no trees Ash shirt a little bitand it's just like no trees.
Gosh, have sex with your ownguys oh no like people that are
what?
Do they call them naturists orwhatever they're gonna be like.
(45:53):
Wow, that was the most racistthing you could say to trees
species?
I don't know but yeah, then thetrees sadly destroy.
Just throw Bobby Joe into atree and once again, sexual
harassment trees win again.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
Oh man.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
They always do.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
Sucks.
We need to teach these treesabout consent.
Yeah, Ashley's.
Speaker 1 (46:13):
Like you know what
I'm going out there.
Takes them out there, showsthem a sexual harassment video
that you'd like to play in aworkplace Like an HR video.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
Yeah, the tree gets
all video, so the tree gets all
sad.
Yeah, sorry.
Speaker 1 (46:27):
So Annie and Ash find
a drawing in the pages of the
book she brought along whichdepicts a hero in 1300 AD, said
to have dispelled the evil.
The hero appears as a figurewith a chainsaw like hand and a
shotgun which later in the nextmovie we will be heard, called a
boomstick.
Fuck yeah, man, yeah, boy, can't wait.
(46:48):
Fearing for Bobby Joe, jakepicks up the shotgun and
brandishes it at the others.
Ash tries to convince Jake thatBobby Joe is dead dude, but
Jake grows furious and throwsthe book pages into the cellar
and forces everyone to go afterher.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
That's where all the
book learning goes.
Henrietta's like finallysomething to read down here.
It's getting so bored as ademon.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
She's just reading
old magazines.
Yeah, it's like oh, I think Iwrote this actually.
So outside the trees are moving, but you know, it's not the way
that they move with wind.
They're just kind of like, hey, come out here, buddy.
Speaker 2 (47:19):
You want to catch
these hands, brother you want to
catch these hands brother, someof this.
Speaker 1 (47:22):
Yeah.
So the group goes into thewoods, only to discover that the
trail has disappeared.
Evil, and then we see evilstarting to rush at them again,
and then all of a sudden, theycan't see it though.
Right, yeah, and yeah, it'slike they can and they can't.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Is it like wind?
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (47:43):
Well it's just.
It's essentially just demonscoming after them, but I think
they're like invisible, butsometimes they're not invisible,
we just don't ever see them, just kind of see like movement,
yeah.
Speaker 2 (47:50):
And sometimes you do
see them like a Jurassic, like a
, like the raptors in JurassicPark, yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
But yeah, so evil is
coming after them.
Ash, you know, is this liketelling Jake like, hey, dummy,
Like we're going to die, andthen he like knocks Ash down and
he throws Annie down and thenall of a sudden, a possessed Ash
wakes up.
Yeah, how and why?
Speaker 2 (48:16):
The evil rushed into
him I know, but like can it just
possess anybody, yeah, oranything, anything, anything
living.
That's why the trees can bepossessed.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
And how did it just
do his hand Like what?
Well, because it got bit, sohis hand was getting possessed,
but it just wasn't fullypossessing him yet, and so he
was able to cut it off, but it'salready a possessed hand.
So I guess it's just likeliving you know, demons can
possess dolls like Annabelledolls and kill people in their
(48:47):
hotel rooms.
So yeah, and Ash is a demon.
Now he throws Jake into a tree.
Ash chases Annie back to thecabin.
He looks badass as a demon.
He's so cool.
I need to play the video game.
They have like an Evil Deadvideo game, I believe.
Well, they have like a bunch ofthem now what they have, one
that's kind of like you know how.
They have that Jason game.
Yeah, they have one where it'slike Evil Dead and you can do it
(49:10):
like that and stuff.
It's really cool.
So Annie, back in the house.
She grabs the bone dagger fromthe first movie and accidentally
stabs Jake as he's trying toget back pointed the gun at them
and stole her book, Hit him andpushed her down and stuff.
So she has to pull Jake bodiesinside so that she can shut the
(49:34):
door.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
Ash pounds on the
door.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
It's like god, dang
it.
He's like dude.
You stabbed me and this is howyou're going to do me.
Speaker 2 (49:44):
He deserved it.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
So Ash is pounding on
the door and then suddenly sops
and he removes the dagger fromJake and then drags him to a
safer place right next to thecellar door, when, of course,
Henrietta pops up and drags himto the head.
Speaker 2 (49:56):
Into the cellar head
first, into like a meat grinder
or something.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
Because then, like
Annie is like hosed by a river
of blood.
It's like in any horror movie.
If you're like what should?
What?
All right, any horror movie.
If you're like what should?
Alright, we need something kindof cool to happen, always say
gushes of blood, just add thatinto your script.
It's always good, I'll never beupset about it even if it
doesn't make sense, I'll be likedidn't expect that, but that
(50:20):
was really cool.
Ash attacks Annie, accidentallyripping her necklace off her
neck, as she lays unconscious.
Ash looks at the necklace andreverts to his normal self after
being reminded of Linda.
Speaker 2 (50:33):
Same necklace, Sad
demon face.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
Yeah, he's like
learning to love again, but yeah
, so essentially just the onething that can beat demons, true
love, that's all you need.
You just need love Did hereally love her.
We don't know.
Yeah, well, it seemed like hedid.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Took her to a murder
cabin.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
I mean, would you
make a face to just anybody, or
the one that you truly love?
No, that's just Ash.
Speaker 2 (51:05):
That's true Because I
do do that sometimes and it
doesn't work yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:08):
Well, yeah, that's
just, we don't have the chin we
don't have the facial features, that's it.
So then, like Annie wakes upand she's trying to like chop
him with an axe, and he's tryingto convince her.
Speaker 2 (51:21):
She comes back at him
again.
She's no longer possessed.
He calms her down for a second.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:27):
But then he's finally
able to convince her that he's
not possessed anymore and Ashand Annie agree to vanquish the
evil together, for which theywill need those pages in the
basement.
God dang it, jack.
Why'd you?
Speaker 2 (51:36):
have to throw them in
there.
Speaker 1 (51:37):
But hey, baby, you
know what I love in movies A
montage, yes, and lock andloading.
Speaker 2 (51:43):
Fuck yeah, let's go
baby.
Speaker 1 (51:45):
So Ash, with his I
guess his technical know-how he
just like knows how to do thisfor some reason he's able to
convert the chainsaw into achainsaw, hand fitting firmly on
his amputated stump and sawingthe end of his shotgun.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
I wonder, like when
that idea popped in their head?
Do you think they knew it fromthe beginning?
After he cut his hand off?
Speaker 1 (52:06):
So they for sure
assume that you know, because
they're kind of trying to figureout a way to like make this.
I feel like they wanted it toend up first in uh, medieval
time, and then they saw thehamburger helper thing.
It was like cool.
And they're like well, now thathe only has one hand and we
have a shotgun and a chainsaw, what do we do with a chainsaw?
Speaker 2 (52:26):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:27):
My God, let's put it
on his arm.
So, after getting all the bestthings I've ever seen it is
amazing and after getting allthis set up and putting the
chainsaw on his hand, ashannounces Groovy.
Speaker 2 (52:43):
Hell yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
It's like a classic,
classic Evil.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
Dead thing.
He says it like Duke Nukem.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
Yeah, he says it in,
like you know, ash versus the
Evil Dead At the end of the EvilDead remake, if you could say
for the whole thing, you justsee Ash pop up like in a dark
room just saying groovy makingyou think that they're going to
set up a sequel where the personin the remake and Ash are going
to fight together to fight evil.
But that never came to happen.
Yeah, sucks, fucking, hate it.
(53:10):
So Ash no longer a cowardrunning from evil but a hero to
vanquish.
Ash and Annie return to thecabin where Ash cuts the cellar
doors in half and enters thecellar and finds the pages
strewn about the floor, seemingly leading him deeper
into the darkness, where herecovers the pages after a
Skelemon jumps and scares him.
Then he tosses the pagesperfectly to Annie somehow.
(53:30):
Yeah, it's like they just likeperfectly go up to.
I'm like Maybe they were wetfrom all the blood.
I was like, okay, well, theyobviously glued those pages
together and did it.
But I was like you know what Outof this whole movie?
Don't believe that the most soweird how, when, like you, can
watch movies, they can do themost ridiculous thing, and then
(53:51):
it just be something that inreal life there's no way would
be possible.
So all this fantastical stuffthat is obviously fake and would
never happen, and then all of asudden they just do this one
thing with something that shouldbe realistic and it's so
unrealistic the way it is thatI'm like I have problems with
this film.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
Well, I think it's.
Maybe think it's because thatthrowing a stack of papers is
often seen as like a like.
Speaker 1 (54:12):
I'm pissed and they
go everywhere.
Speaker 2 (54:13):
Yeah, they go
everywhere.
It's a huge thing.
Speaker 1 (54:15):
It's like that's not
how that works.
It's just like it's weird, how, like you know, just because you
know you hear people talk aboutmovies and sometimes people
just have like the weirdestnitpicks and it's like, why is
that a weird thing that I justhave to talk about and say it's
like I can't get past it in myhead.
Maybe they're just really heavy, yeah, some of those, some of
that medieval paper you know, made out of human skin Probably,
(54:38):
yeah, or at least like it'sprobably just what hide from,
like a deer or something, Idon't know.
So Henrietta pops up out fromunder the stairs and attacks Ash
and knocks him out.
While Annie reads the pages, henrietta then leaps out of the
cellar door and is like flyingand attacking Annie yeah, she
looks so gross yeah it's sogreat Annie Ash emerges from the
cellar and begins fighting withthe flying Henrietta anytime he
(55:00):
whistles.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
Yeah, it's like all
the demons turn.
Yeah, they're like oh fuck,dude, that's a whistle.
Speaker 1 (55:06):
It's like I know,
like we only known him in this
movie for like 10 minutes, butdang, he's cool.
He's got to make sure hedoesn't chin us.
I've never been able to whistlelike that.
Yeah, I can't like blow out andwhistle.
I can only whistle a second in.
Is that how you whistle?
No, I whistle blowing out.
I can only whistle blowing in.
(55:30):
Oh wait, no, I can whistleblowing out.
Wow, this is probably ariveting podcast.
On this week's podcast wefigured out Jesse figures out he
can whistle blowing outwards.
Speaker 2 (55:36):
I made my mouth roll
trying to do it with my fingers.
Speaker 1 (55:38):
Yeah, I bet you did.
I just spent the whole daytrying to do it.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
I did it one time and
I've never been able to
recreate it, yeah sure, that'show he made his mouth go.
Maybe I was losing my mind.
Speaker 1 (55:47):
So yeah, ash emerges
from the cellar, begins fighting
with the flying Henrietta.
He is the upper hand, untilHenrietta starts hulking up,
brother, and transform into amore vicious, demonic form that
sounds like a monkey yeah, thebig, long, the giraffe, demon
head monkey neck, monkey demonthat's crazy.
(56:07):
I love that thing.
It's great.
I wish it was my Like monkeymonkey demon.
That's crazy.
That's a love, it's great.
I wish it was my friend, youknow.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
It looks like the
claymation.
Speaker 1 (56:16):
Yeah, it did.
Yeah, because then whenever helike, zooms out in the long shot
that he's fighting it it's likevery goofy.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
He like punches the
air.
The lighting is completelydifferent.
Speaker 1 (56:25):
And like you can tell
that the creature is being
filmed at that point, andthey're like putting the like
reverse, like superimposing iton top of Ash yeah, it seems
like they might be reverseprojecting it, rear projecting
maybe, I don't know it'swhatever yeah.
so Ash is saved when Anniedistracts Henrietta by singing a
(56:48):
lullaby that Henrietta sang toher when she was a girl.
Because the demons arepossessing them, but the person
is still there.
That's why it's able to like, transform back into the person
and be like please don't kill me, oh, yeah.
So while Henrietta is focusedon Annie, ash uses his chainsaw
to decapitate and dismember thedemon.
I'll swallow your soul.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
Yeah, I'll swallow
your soul.
I'll swallow your soul.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
And then deals the
final blow by delivering a
shotgun blast to its head.
That was awesome.
I'll swallow your soul, swallowthis, swallow this.
Hell yeah, annie and Ash have atender hugging moment, and then
the molesting trees attack.
Can't stop, won't stop.
I love the scene, though, though, when the trees are
(57:34):
attacking and then it'sobviously like all miniatures
and stuff, but they get outsideof the house and, like, the
trees are kind of moving on itand the house almost looks like
it's about to start sinking intothe ground.
Speaker 2 (57:42):
Yeah, the trees are
fucking scary.
Yeah, they look.
I think that was like the bestlooking demon, in my opinion,
all the little tree faces andstuff.
Yeah, the tree faces.
Speaker 1 (57:51):
So Annie takes the
pages and begins translating to
the text to manifest the evilwhich appears in the form of a
large bloody head covered infaces of those it has possessed
and the power to wilt flowers, and turns Ash's hair white there
, which it will be in.
Speaker 2 (58:06):
Army of the Darkness.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
Yeah and well, it's
just like one little streak,
it's kind of like a Mr Fantastictype streak.
While Ash is grabbed by treebranches and brought closer to
the creature which he tries tofend off, the chainsaw in its
eyes seems to irritate it a bit.
Speaker 2 (58:22):
All the goo comes out
of the tree.
Speaker 1 (58:24):
Yeah.
And then Annie recites theincantation to rid the earth of
the evil, a large vortex opensup just outside the cabin,
gravitating everything around it, including Ash's car, a large
tree and the evil itself.
Annie is then stabbed in theback by Ash's severed hand with
a bow knife.
So good, he got the last laugh, man.
Speaker 2 (58:45):
I think she's been
getting rid of that thing.
Speaker 1 (58:46):
Yeah, laugh, she's
been getting rid of that thing.
So, with her dying breath, shespeaks the last words of the
incantation, and the giant headand his tree hands are sucked
into the vortex man.
It's like I'm reading the mostridiculous show, vortex.
Before it disappears, ash isleft in the cabin with Nanny's
body for a moment before thedoors and he's like you did good
kid.
And suddenly the doors rippedaway, showing the Vortex is
(59:08):
still there.
Ash is sucked in with a long oftrees and many items from the
cabin.
So and then we cut to Ash's carand a tree far from the sky and
land on a large block of rock.
He looks up and finds himselfsurrounded by armored and
mounted medieval knights.
The knights are about to attackAsh when a winged demonic
(59:28):
creature swoops down from thesky, terrifying the knights as
they scatter.
Ash reaches for his shotgun andblows the creature's head off.
The knights gather around Ashas he prepares to defend himself
.
One knight then lifts his faceplaces and declares Hell, who
hath fallen from the sky todeliver us from the terror of
the deadites?
Is this the first time theycalled them deadites?
And then the army of medievalwarriors then falls to their
(59:50):
knees and begin chanting hail asAsh realizes that he is in fact
the prophesied hero from thesky.
The film closes with Ashshaking his head in disbelief
and screaming no, as the camerapans out to show the large army
that now awaits Ash's command.
Oh shit, I love that once hekills the like Deadeye and you
(01:00:11):
got this one like knight, that'slike huh could it?
Be.
But he's got like the mostgoofy little, like the little
eye holes, but they're so closetogether, it's just so kind of
goofy and they're like, and justthe way he's moving he's like,
huh, what could this be?
Ah, oh, what could this be?
Ah, jason.
So now we went over the plotagain.
(01:00:32):
I mean masterpiece, right it'sso insane.
Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
It's just, but I
can't wait for the next one.
Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
Yeah, I know, next
year baby, we might do it
January next year.
Army of Darkness.
Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
Yeah, it's.
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
So if you have the
first one, which is little goofy
but mainly a horror movie, thenyou have the second one that is
really goofy in a horror movie, then the next one is just, it's
just goofy in medieval times, just him killing a bunch of
demons.
That's awesome like the armythat the army of the dead he has
to face is great.
You got one character and it'sessentially just Ash in demon
(01:01:12):
makeup, so he's essentiallyfighting himself.
It's really great and goofy.
I know there's some people thatdon't like it because it's like
that's not Evil Dead and it'sjust like you can't just keep
going back to this cabin.
Speaker 2 (01:01:24):
How can you say it's
not Evil Dead?
He just went back in time.
Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
Yeah, it's like come
on guys.
It's just not like you know, when things change a little too
much people kind of get riled up.
It took a left turn.
Yeah, so Jason, what's?
Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
the point.
Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
What's the fucking
point of this movie?
Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
No, no, no, I don't
know.
Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
The point is that no
matter what you face a chainsaw
or a hand in a cut off shotguncan protect you.
Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
That's what I've
learned, so true.
Speaker 1 (01:01:52):
No matter what you
face, whether it be paranormal
or real, chainsaw, hand sawedoff shotgun solves everything.
See, I think I fell asleep.
Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
So I tried watching
this last night and I fell
asleep pretty early in it, yeah, and I woke up to the end of I
think it might have been the endof Army of Darkness, where he's
like don't think, just shoot.
Yeah, ok, yeah.
So I saw that bit and then itended, so I thought that was the
end of this movie.
Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
Oh, that's crazy so.
Speaker 2 (01:02:22):
I was waiting for
that, I know.
And then today I fell asleepand Nosferatu was on.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Yeah, it's a thing
Like, if you're sleepy, you know
, just like old kind of campy, goofy horror movies are not
something you can really watch, because me and Natalie did watch
this last week or earlier thisweek while you know like smoking
and drinking, and we justwatched Final Destination,
bloodlines, and then we justlike, oh, let's watch another
(01:02:48):
one.
But I was like man, it startedgetting a little sleepy.
It was still great and funny tome, but then you could
definitely feel like, oh, thisis a slow part.
It's like, ah, I'm kind ofgetting tired for bed, so I get
falling asleep during it,especially if you're really
tired.
I was really tired you have totake your kids to have to do for
their lives.
You know All right, so that wasthe point, which is just movie
(01:03:12):
fucking cool dude.
So that's the point.
Speaker 2 (01:03:16):
Hey, can you?
You know about filmmaking?
I was.
I watched a little bit of thecredits and there's a position
on the film crew called best boy?
Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
Yes, what is the best
boy?
It's always the joke.
Uh, oh, is it?
Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
yeah, because like
because everybody's like oh, I
want to be the best boy I know, just imagine like a little boy
dressed up in like a victorianlike costume with like fluffy
hair, you know so best boythey're?
Speaker 1 (01:03:45):
they're essentially
they're a crew member in both,
like the lighting or gaffer, which if you ever see gaffer,
that's like lighting and uh gripdepartment.
Best boy is the second incommand, working directly under
the gaffer, uh or chiefelectrician or creagrip chief of
the grip department.
They are responsible for thelogistics and administrative
task within their respectivedepartments, ensuring smooth
(01:04:06):
operation and efficient workworkflow.
So essentially it's just likeif things start wrong, best boy
steps in and says I got you.
Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
You keep doing what
you're doing.
I'm going to fix.
Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
Whatever the other
situation is Nice, I'm the best
boy in this film.
All right, so we're going tomove to our next category the
good, the bad, the ugly and thefine.
It's where we discuss the goodof the film something we liked
the bad, something we didn't.
The ugly, something that didn'tage well.
The fine, something that didage well.
For the good, I put BruceCampbell, yeah, and well,
(01:04:37):
obviously, the Sam Raimiweird-ass mind shit their
ability to film great things.
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
What about you?
Yeah, just, I don't know thisis.
Would you consider this a Bmovie?
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
that's tough goofy
ass horror movies the first one
is, I think the second onetechnically isn't a B movie.
It has the vibes of a B movie, but it's so much too much budget
yeah, it's, it's this way it'sthis filmed way.
It's a better film in terms ofbeing filmed.
You may like the first one more, so I know some people do, but
(01:05:17):
I think I like this one morejust because I laughed a lot
more.
Yeah, it's great, yeah, andthere's like a lot of.
Really.
It's the very it's the problemwith you know, filmmakers first
films.
It's like all right, we got toget these people here and we got
to get it to make sense.
But I feel like, as you start, making help, it's like oh, we
got to get these people there,we got to figure out who they
are, which is usually how youyou want to do it, but like for
(01:05:39):
an hour and 25 minute movie, youknow, just like let's just go.
And I think that's what theyfound out when making this film.
It's like we don't need allthis shit, we can just let's
just go, let's just have theevil here now.
Yeah, which is what we wanted, especially out of the sequel,
where it's like we already knowhow this works.
Let's go, which is a problem insome movies.
When you just, especially whenyou get to like Friday the 13th
(01:06:02):
Eight and it's like let's hurry,I think OK.
So for my bad, I think this isa bad movie, but I like it.
Yeah, my bad.
Is you calling it a bad movie?
No, the bad and it's not.
(01:06:23):
I don't think this at all.
But I know some people thinkit's too goofy.
It's like they like theirhorror movies.
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
Scary, not goofy, but
it's a horror comedy.
I mean, since I watched the newlike Bruce Campbell in the new
Evil Dead show Ash vs Evil Dead,I kind of that's my first
experience with it and so he wasa really goofy then.
So when I saw this I was likethis is the Ash that I know.
Yeah, yeah, that's what it is.
Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
It like this is the
Ash that I know.
Yeah, yeah, that's what it is.
It's like this is what EvilDead is.
It's just funny horror stuffwith goofy ass characters, yeah,
and then for the ugly, I don'treally have anything, I think,
at all ages pretty great, yeah,I mean for what I mean?
Obviously, I guess the specialeffects and stuff are.
Speaker 2 (01:07:08):
But honestly, let's
go back to this.
Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
I enjoy it because I
was saying I was watching Final
Destination, bloodlines Bro.
The movie looks like garbage ina lot of spots.
I really enjoyed it and it wasfun and the deaths were all
great and I got what I wantedfrom Final Destination.
But man, it looked bad.
(01:07:32):
It just like there's so manycgi parts that I'm just like
this is a cartoon with humanpeople in it sometimes and it's
just like.
Then we watch evil dead 2.
I'm like give me this, god.
It doesn't have to be slick andpristine, just give me this
right, I think for me.
Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
Uh, bruce campbell
aged pretty well, like his.
Speaker 1 (01:07:53):
I just really enjoy
his humor and his if someone
told me they don't like brucecampbell, I'll swing on him
because he's such a fuckingidiot boy.
Yeah and he's just there's.
He's so charismatic.
Yeah, he's not the best actorin the movie, but that's what I
mean, who cares?
it's like but there's somethingabout him is like no, that's how
(01:08:15):
a person would act, that's how, like, your goofy friends act
and that's what really works.
And then you know he's a goodguy outside of in life and it's
great.
I'll read that biography.
Yeah, jen's good.
Now he's telling me next time Iget an audible credit I should
download it.
I have to, and I think he readsit himself.
What?
Yeah, oh man, that's the bestbiography is when they do it
(01:08:35):
themselves.
So what aged well for me is SamRaimi man?
He's a master of horror.
When he makes a horror movie,it's great.
Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
We should make some
other stuff.
He's done like new newer.
Speaker 1 (01:08:48):
Uh well, he did drag
me to hell.
He did the spider-man trilogy, the original dark man, um, and
then he did after drag me tohell.
He didn't really make a moviefor a long time until dr strange
, okay, all right, sucks that hehasn't really made that much
and he came back just for amarvel movie and, yeah, it was.
There was great parts whereyou're like that's sam raimi,
(01:09:10):
baby.
And then there's other partswhere it's like, all right, come
on let's get through thismarvel shit.
Speaker 2 (01:09:15):
Let's go, just
cranked it out.
Can we get some money?
Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
yeah, it's just like
I would love to see his whole
fully thought out.
Only his idea dr strange mouthinto madness or whatever it's
called.
Put Put deadites into Marvel.
Yeah, it kind of did with the.
Did you watch Doctor Strange, mouth of madness or whatever?
Speaker 2 (01:09:35):
it's called.
Speaker 1 (01:09:36):
Oh, you should,
Because there's a part where,
like, demons become his cape orwhatever.
At a certain point, his cape, yeah.
So do you care if I tell youthings about it?
No, I'm good.
So there it's a multiverse,shit, right, right.
And there's at some point wherehe goes into the multiverse
where he's dead and then at theend he wakes back up as undead
(01:09:57):
Doctor Strange, nice, andthere's all these like dead-eye
kind of like little demons andhe's able to like wrangle them
up and it becomes his cape andthey're all like and it's like
very Sam Raimi, that's great.
And it's like very sam raimi, that's great.
Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
And it's a wonderful,
it's just there's not enough of
it because they have to make ita comic book movie.
Speaker 1 (01:10:13):
You know, it's like
what if we just didn't make it?
Uh, like, uh, I don't know a,uh, I can't think uh no, just
like why.
I don't know what I'm trying tosay, I don't know.
Just make it a horror movie.
Come on, have some guts.
All right, sorry about me notknowing words.
(01:10:34):
All of a sudden, yeah, a Marvelhorror movie.
That would be sweet.
Yeah, that's what they weretrying to say.
This one was going to be, andit's like it's not.
It's just you got the goodstuff and then you got some of
the boring stuff that it's inevery Marvel movie.
All right, so we're going to goto our next category.
It's called Double Feature.
It's where we recommend a moviealongside Evil Dead 2.
(01:10:55):
I'm running out of breath overhere Out.
of steam, yeah.
So what do you got?
Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
I don't know if this
is the same one as I did last
time, but the movie Idle Hands.
Speaker 1 (01:11:06):
Hell yes, bro, me and
Natalie love that movie.
We're actually thinking aboutdoing it for the podcast.
We keep talking about how Iwanted to do it.
Maybe we should.
Yeah, we should.
We should do it soon, me, youand her.
Yeah, that'd be great.
It's so fun, it's so stupid.
You got Seth Green and thatother guy there just dead on his
couch, oh, because like one'sgot like a thing in his head and
(01:11:27):
it's so good.
It's been a while since Iwatched it a couple years, I
think.
It's been a long time for me.
Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
Love that movie, puts
it in the microwave.
Speaker 1 (01:11:34):
Idle hands are the
devil's playthings.
I chose Creepshow 2.
Baby, you ever seen it?
Oh, it's so good, they're like,they're so.
It's like three macabre talesfrom the latest issue of a boy's
favorite comic book dealingwith a vengeful wooden Native
American, a monstrous blob inthe lake.
(01:11:54):
It's the best one.
That's cool.
You should watch it just forthat.
And Undying Hitchhiker.
It's like one of them's writtenby Stephen King, one George A
Romero and one I don't know thisperson.
Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
Oh, so they're like
short films.
Speaker 1 (01:12:05):
Yeah, it's an
anthology series.
Oh, neat and Creepshow used tobe this comic book back in the
day and it, like, inspiredStephen King and a lot of the
horror filmmakers and stuff fromthe time.
Yeah, it's great, it's so fun.
It's like bad and good all atthe same time.
Yeah, it's wonderful.
But yeah, I recommend Creepshow2.
And that is our conclusion ofour episode on Evil Dead 2, baby
(01:12:29):
.
Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
Hope you enjoyed it.
The second most Evil Dead.
Speaker 1 (01:12:31):
Yeah, they don't get
much evil or dead than that,
except for in two more EvilDeads that happen.
