Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, everyone. You are listening to Red, White and Bruise.
This is Robin. It has been a hell of a week.
I don't know about y'all, but we have a lot
to talk about and I'm just gonna go ahead and
dive into it. But first let's get the housekeeping out
of the way. If you're not already following the show

I am exhausted, like bone deep soul level. We're in
(00:44):
that weird December stretch where every day feels simultaneously endless
and then also like there just aren't enough hours in
the day. I'm excited for the holidays, not going to
lie and what am I going to do with my
free time? Hang out with my wife, hang out with
the dogs, and then also play Fallout seventy six. But anyway,
back to the episode, what an episode it is. This
(01:07):
week we have the new Epstein photos featuring Trump. We
have Trump telling yet another female reporter to be nice
and easy. We have Marco Rubio fighting the good fight
against accessible fonts, Marjorie Taylor Green trying to burn down
the house on her way out the door. And then
the FBI just declared Antifa the nation's greatest threat while
(01:28):
also not even really being able to explain what Antifa
even is. Gavin Newsom is trolling his way into the
twenty twenty eight presidential contention, Linda McMahon is doing an
insane Grinch parody that is one of the most cringe
things I've seen in recent memory. And then also a
virgin white nationalist podcaster just got into a beef this
(01:51):
week with Peers Morgan over his sex life and went viral,
and yes, talking about Nick Fuintez TLDR. It's been a week,
let's discuss it, all right, So let's just go ahead
and start with a big one. House Democrats on the
Oversight Committee released a fresh batch of photos from the
Jeffrey Epstein estate on Friday, and guess who shows up?
(02:11):
I mean, ultimately, people that we already knew, Donald Trump,
Bill Clinton, Steve Bannon, Bill Gates, Woody Allen, because of
fucking course, Alan Dershowitz, Richard Branson, and in one delightful image,
the late Jimmy Buffett. Yeah, the Margarita Bill guy wasting
away indeed. But Republicans on the committee are calling this
a hoax against President Trump and saying that Democrats are
(02:34):
cherry picking photos. The White House spokesperson claimed Democrats are
trying to create a false narrative. But here's what we
actually know. These photos came from Epstein's own computers and
emails the committee subpoenaed them. They've received over ninety five
thousand photos. This release was just a small portion of that,
and Representative Robert Garcia said there are many other photos
(02:57):
they haven't released yet and that some of them are
incredibly disturbing. There's also a photo of Bannon and Epstein
taking a mirror selfie together, which is somehow both horrifying
and exactly the kind of energy that you would expect
from both of them. I mean, Steve Bannon looks like
a walking herpes virus. There's a horror movie out there,
and it's really good. It's a small independent horror movie
(03:20):
called The Natomorphos, and basically it's about this woman and
she's in her apartment and she starts rotting. More or less,
her skin starts sluffing, it's rotting, it's decaying. She's pulling
pieces of herself off. And that is what Steve Bannon,
Steve Bannon reminds me of her in the very beginning
of that movie, as she's starting to rot. So, I
don't know if you guys can see it, but and
(03:40):
then some of the images you guys feature sex toys.
When asked about the photos today, Trump said, and I quote,
I haven't seen them, but everybody knew this man. He
was all over Palm Beach. He has photos with everybody.
There are hundreds and hundreds of people that have photos
with him. So that's no big deal. I know nothing
about it. The old everybody was doing it. I mean,
(04:01):
very cool, very good. That always works. Representative Robert Garcia said,
we will not rest until the American people get the truth.
The Department of Justice must release all the files now.
Speaker Mike Johnson senti a anal pollop urged Republicans to
reject the Epstein Files Transparency Act untild reporters Friday that
he hadn't seen the latest release. Quote, I didn't know
(04:23):
anything about it. I've been busy all morning, busy doing
what exactly. Speaker Johnson, Well, we'll get into that, and honestly,
let's see all of them. If Democrats are in there,
release them. If Republicans are in there, release them. Sunlight
is the best disinfectant, and this particular corner of history
is in desperate need of disinfection. I don't care who's
(04:44):
in the files. Release them. Both sides, regardless of party,
get them out. But the weirdest part of this is
now watching the Republicans almost try to justify pedophilia. And
here's my issue with Megan Kelly. The woman is smart, Okay,
like Megan Kelly is smart, she's also a fucking grifter
and knows where her money comes from. Go out there,
(05:06):
and in her more recent random shows, she's now trying
to separate pedophilia from being anyone under eighteen and being like,
you know, the younger kids like ten and under, you know, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen,
she was almost trying to separate them into two separate
categories like well, you know, twelve to fifteen isn't bad
that you know they're older, and it's fucking disgusting. She's
(05:29):
not stupid, she's very intelligent, and it's maddening to see
people who actually do have intellect and cognitive functioning try
to justify this. So fuck you Megan Kelly for citing
with pedophiles and trying to justify it by saying, oh, well,
it's not like it was a six year old. Fuck
you and to all of the men going off of
(05:50):
what she's saying and trying to justify it as well, Oh,
you know, some of the girls were fifteen, sixteen, fourteen,
It's not like they were, you know, five year old
little girls. Fuck you two. The FBI absolutely needs to
be looking into your phone if you think that is
okay in any way. But speaking of our dear leader,
dear leader, our president, he's had another productive week of
bullying female journalists. I mean, this seems to be his
(06:13):
hobby at this point. This time it was the Amish
El Sindor at an event yesterday. Alcindor tried to ask
Trump a question and he immediately cut her off with wait, wait, wait, wait, wait,
you have to be nice and easy. Nice and easy.
Then he turned to men standing around him and added,
nice and easy. She's very aggressive. And this is from
the man who screams in all cabs on social media
(06:34):
and calls people piggy. This is actually the third time
Trump has public publicly clashed with al Sindor. In twenty eighteen,
he called her a question about nationalism racist. In twenty twenty,
during the George Floyd protest, he shushed her with what
she asked about systemic racism and said you are something.
And this comes after a month when Trump is also
(06:55):
called a female reporter piggy and told her to be quiet.
That was Bloomberg's Catherine Lucy. He dismissed CNN's Kitlyn Collins
as always stupid and nasty. In a social media post,
he asked CBS Nancy Chords, are you stupid? Are you
a stupid person? He called New York Times reporter Katie
Rogers a third rate reporter who was ugly both inside
(07:16):
and out. He described ABC's Rachel Scott as obnoxious and
a terrible reporter. He threatened to revoke ABC's broadcast license
after a question from Mary Brute. His niece Mary Trump
said it best his misogynistic attacks against reporters in particular
or interesting. It means that he's increasingly comfortable lodging such attacks.
(07:37):
I think it's also a sign that he's a little rattled.
And when the White House Press Secretary was asked about
this pattern, she suggested everyone should appreciate the frankness and
openness bullying women for asking questions and legitimate questions. Isn't frankness,
that's pathology and in the category of problems that definitely
(07:57):
need solving. Secretary of State Marco Ruby has declared war
on Calibri, Yes, the font, the typeface. Rubio sent a
memo to diplomatic outposts around the world demanding that staffers
return to Times New Roman for official department business because
it embodies tradition, formality, and ceremony. He chastised the Biden
(08:20):
era switch to Calibri, saying that change achieved nothing except
the degradation of the department's official correspondence, the degradation of
official correspondents through font And I'm not going to get
into the whole backstory of the change in twenty twenty three,
but it's absolutely insane and Lucas Dagrut, the actual creator
(08:42):
of e Calibri responded by essentially laughing at Rubio. He
said that the Times of London called the idea that
Calibri is woke was just humorous, and he said that
he literally just designed this as with a primary objective
of something easy to read. Absolutely crazy. It's just sure, Marco,
you fight that font war. You know, this is a
(09:03):
time where families across the US are struggling. People are
having a hard time finding a job, affording basic necessities,
and the Secretary of State in this country is worried
about a font And let's talk about the news this week.
Thursday of this week was rough, in particular for Trump,
like impressibly rough. In a span of about six hours,
(09:25):
a judge ordered Kilmar Abrago Garcia and you guys, remember
who this is. This is the man that the Trump
administration illegally deported to El Salvador and eventually was forced
to bring back. Well, he was released from immigration custody.
Judge Paula Zennis wrote that since his return from wrongful
detention in El Salvador, federal agents again detained him without
(09:47):
lawful authority. She noted that it is beyond dispute that
unlawful detention visits irreparable harm. The DHS called it naked
judicial activism by an Obama appointed judge. A brag Garcia
showed up for his ICE check in this past Friday,
and he was protected by a court order from being detained.
He spoke to supporters saying, regardless of this administration, I
(10:10):
believe this is a country of laws, and I believe
that this injustice will come to an end. Secondly, a
grand jury in New York again rejected an attempt to
indict Attorney General Letitia James. This is the second time
that Trump's DOJ has failed and tried to get her.
Three Republicans in Indiana State Senate rejected Trump's radical redistricting scheme.
(10:33):
And this is a huge one this week, you guys,
if you don't follow the one where he was trying
to force states to jerry mander on his preferred timeline.
His own party in Indiana, a known conservative state, told
him no. For an ap and ORC poll found that
two thirds of Americans disapprove of Trump's handling of the economy.
(10:54):
Only thirty one percent approve, which is down from forty
percent in March. That's the lowest economic approval rating Trump
has registered in any AP poll in either term. His
overall approval rating has also sunk to just thirty six percent.
Trump's response to all of this, of course, it's pity
and self pity. He posted, when will I get credit
(11:16):
for having created, with no inflation, perhaps the greatest economy
in the history of our country? When will people understand
what is happening? When will polls reflect the greatness of
America at this point in time? He also sat at
a White House event, quote, when the real polsters start
doing the polls, I think you're going to see some
really fantastic numbers. My brother in Christ, the real pulsters
(11:41):
are doing the polls. That is the problem. Americans are
dealing with, rising consumer costs, rising energy costs, a contracting
manufacturing sector, and the worst job growth since the Great Recession.
Telling people their lived experience is wrong while demanding praise is.
I mean, that's certainly a choice, and people aren't doing
(12:02):
well right now. I'm actually seeing on a daily basis,
because I mean, obviously, child of the Internet, right I research,
I'm made a bunch of groups. I love politics like
I'm a polypy major, So I love seeing people's opinions.
I don't get into arguments or get involved, but I
read what people think, and you guys, the tide is turning.
(12:23):
So many die hard people or maga are leaving. And
if you see a lot of tiktoks, people are being
honest about it and saying, look, yes, I has supported Trump,
and this is what I think. Now, this is where
I actually separate from a lot of my fellow liberal brethren.
Here is that the left side, I believe has isolated
(12:46):
a lot of people. And I understand why it is
so frustrating to have family that's a diehard Trump supporters,
and a lot of Trump support comes from hate. Let's
just be completely honest. There. A lot of Trump's initial
support came when he came down that elevator and started
placing the blame for almost every problem in this country
(13:07):
on immigrants and illegal immigrants. And it wasn't just legal ones,
it was illegal ones. It was also the legal ones
he was bitching about. He gained racist support right off
the bat, and then other people who I guess you
saw him on the Apprentice and thought rich man must
know how to be successful. I vote for him, and
then the racism stuff kind of followed, and it's just
(13:29):
wild to me. It is absolutely wild to me that
a lot of people are turning around. And if you
look on TikTok Instagram, there are a lot a lot
of former die hard maga who have taken off their hats,
who have gotten rid of their merch and support and
are like, I'm done. And then we're going to talk
about Marjorie Taylor Green here in a minute, because I
(13:50):
have some theories there. But as if Thursday couldn't get
worse for Trump, his own party also stuck the knife
in the House voted two thirty one to five to
reinstate collective bargaining rights for federal workers. That is directly
undoing one of Trump's executive orders. This is the first
time all year that the Republican Ledhouse has voted to
(14:11):
nullify something that Trump did. Twenty House Republicans voted with
Democrats on this one, and this came out because of
a discharge petition, Basically, when enough members sign on to
force a floor vote that leadership doesn't want. Democratic Rapper
Jerry Golden and Republican Brian Fitzpatrick. They got to two
hundred and eighteen signatures and then Speaker Mike Johnson couldn't stop.
(14:32):
Speaker Mike Johnson is like a dumb, fucking little lap
dog who just tries to go around and bully people
into voting how his fear wants him to. This bill
Neil heads to the Senate, where it faces an uncertain fate.
But the symbolic victory here is pretty significant. Trump's own
party is starting to push back. But I would like
(14:53):
to follow up because let's talk about Speaker Johnson and
having a bad time. And this is news that I
am reveling in this week. So everyone knows that Marjorie
Taylor Green is resigning. Multiple sources have said that Green
is working behind the scenes to oust Speaker Mike Johnson
before she leaves. She needs nine Republicans to trigger emotion
(15:14):
to vacate. That's the new threshold they set up after
Kevin McCarthy in that entire fiasco. And apparently our apparently
MTG is making those calls. Quote, Marjorie is approaching members
to get to nine who will oust the speaker, one
source said. And if we don't get to work on
codifying Trump's agenda, anything can happen. When asked about it,
(15:35):
Green said that she was not doing interviews on this
right now, and that it was not true. She repeatedly
denied it, so naturally that means it's probably happening. The
beautiful irony here is that Green has become one of
Johnson's most persistent critics. She's publicly attacked to shutdown strategy,
which by the way, resulted in the longest government shut
down in US history at forty three days. She slammed
(15:59):
him for not having a health plan, and this week
she accused him of sidelining Republican women. She told CNN,
you're seeing Republican women lash out directly at the speaker
because he sidelines us and doesn't take us seriously. And
she's not alone at least. Fahnik told The Wall Street
Journal that she doesn't believe Johnson would have the votes
to be Speaker if there was a roll call vote tomorrow.
(16:21):
She said, I believe that the majority of Republicans would
vote for new leadership. It's that widespread. Even Rep. Nancy
Mace went scorched earth, saying Nancy Pelosi was more effective
as Speaker. When Republicans are praising Nancy Pelosi's leadership over
their own, you know that guy is fucked. And here's
(16:41):
the thing, Marjorie Taylor Green only has like six legislative
days left before Congress breaks for holiday recess. Time is
running out. But if she can find eight other Republicans
willing to defy Trump who will say that, you know who,
Trump himself says, still says that Johnson is fantastic, So
they would be going a Trump if they did this,
we could be looking at another speaker crisis. Democrats, for
(17:05):
their part, have signaled they won't bail Johnson out this time.
Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffrey said nothing that the Speaker of
the House has done over the last several months has
endeared himself to Democrats in the Congress. So we've got
a Republican caucus and open revolt, a speaker who can
barely hold it together in Marjorie Taylor Green potentially trying
to burn the whole thing down on her way out
(17:27):
the door. Merry Christmas, everyone, it is going to be
a good one. And separately, in the did he even
google how this shit works? Category? Trump issued a pardon
on Thursday for Tina Peters. If you recall Tina Peters
as the former Colorado County clerk currently serving nine years
in state prison for election crimes. She used someone else's
(17:50):
security badge to let a Mike Lindell associate. Yes, Mike Lindell,
the mypolo guy. He went to jail as well. Because
everyone that Trump is surrounded by as a criminal. If
you haven't noted, everyone has a criminal background of some sort,
or has been sued or has been found per forming fraud.
I mean, it's absolutely wild. I just I don't understand it.
(18:10):
So Tina Peters used someone else's security badge to let
a Mike Lindell associate access county election equipment to trying
to leak data to prove Trump's conspiracy theories. About twenty twenty,
she got caught, tried, and convicted on seven counts, including
attempting to influence a public servant, conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation,
(18:31):
official misconduct, and more. At sentencing, she showed zero remorse.
Trump has been obsessed with this woman. I mean, he's
directed the Justice Department to take all necessary action to
help secure her freedom. He's threatened Colorado with harsh measures.
He tried to get her transfer to federal custody. He
called her a political prisoner in hostage whose trial was
(18:53):
a communist persecution, so he issued a pardon. In his announcement,
he even claimed the felonies Peters committed were totally fine
and normal. One problem, though, presidents could only pardon federal crimes.
Peters was convicted of state crimes in state court by
a state jery. She's in a state prison. Colorado Attorney
(19:17):
Colorado Attorney General Philip Wiser put it bluntly, one of
the most basic principles of our constitution is that the
states have independent sovereignty and manage our own criminal justice
systems without interference from the federal government. The idea that
a president could pardon someone tried and convicted in state
court has no precedent in American law. This would be
(19:38):
an outrageous departure from what our constitution requires and will
not hold up. The pardon is literally meaningless. It's like
declaring yourself King of England from your basement. You can
do it, but that doesn't actually make you king. Peter's
remains in prison, and Trump remains confused about how federalism works.
Let's move on to Christy Nome at a House Homeland
(19:59):
Security hearing this past Thursday, DHS Secretary Christy Nome had
a rough time. She claimed her department hadn't deported any
military veterans, only to be confronted moments I'm talking seconds
later by a deported military veteran of participating via video
from South Korea. It's wild ten out of ten recommend
but the most amazing exchange involved Michael Glashan, the Operations
(20:22):
director of the FBI's National Security Branch. He declared that
Antifa is the FBI's primary concern and the most immediate
violent threat that we are facing. When Democratic Bret Benny
Thompson asked some basic follow up questions about this, like, hey, okay,
well where is Antifa headquartered? We're are who are its members?
(20:43):
Glashian struggled, and he couldn't answer. He said, it's very fluid.
They're building out the infrastructure right now. Thompson, well, okay,
what does that mean? And they couldn't answer it. So
the FBI's top threat assessment guy is telling Congress that
Antifa is America's greatest danger. That he can't say anything
about where they are, who they are, or what they've done.
(21:05):
And Antifa, to the extent that it exists, guys, it's
just a loose collection of people who are anti fascist.
That's it. I'm antifa. Hopefully you're fucking antifa, because goddamn
your grandparents, your grandfather or great grandfather depending on your age,
was also fucking antifa anti fascist. There's no headquarters, there's
(21:25):
no membership list, there's no budget, there's no leaders. It's
not an organization in any meaningful sense. It is literally
just a word anti fascist. And we are all, hopefully
in this country, anti fascist because we believe in what
I mean. This entire concept is wild to me, and
Republicans are being too goddamn stupid to realize that there
is no actual group called fucking antifa. It is so wild,
(21:48):
it is so weld to me that they're just using
the antifa train when literally ninety percent of the world
realizes that that doesn't exist. It does not exist as
a standalone institution. It is quite literally just a description
anti fascist. That's it. But okay, and yet Trump still
signed in an executive order designating it a domestic terrorist organization.
(22:10):
The White House held a roundtable about it, showed pictures.
Cabinet members participated. When pressed, Thompson told Glasheen, Sir, you
wouldn't come to this committee to say something that you
couldn't prove. I know you wouldn't do that, but you did.
It's just security theater for the MAGA base, real threats meh,
imaginary leftist boogeyman, all hands on deck. It's just absurd.
(22:33):
But let's take a brief detour to talk about something
that's actually energizing Democrats for once, and that's Gavin Newsom's
complete embrace of all of this insanity. Now, I'm just
gonna be honest. I am not a Gavin Newsom fan.
I think that he is smarmy. I think that he
is an opportunist like most politicians. And what I'm seeing here,
(22:55):
and this is just my personal opinion before I get
into it, the Democratic Party ispletely fucked. I believe. I
don't know how there's hope here because the Democratic establishment
keeps giving us people like Hillary Clinton, Tim Waltz, Joe Biden.
I'm talking about people who've been in politics for decades, older,
(23:15):
established moderate, barely even moderate, and the Democratic Party is
quite the spectrum. It goes from far far far far
far left to moderate. You know, there are still Democrats
who are anti choice, anti abortion, but they still do
vote Democrat right like people vote on particular issues. In
my opinion, y'all, the Democratic Party has a problem, and
(23:38):
it's not just Republicans. It's that the party is having
two completely different conversations at the same time. On one side,
you've got a growing block of voters who want bold
structural change right. They want AOC, They want Mom Donnie,
they want Bernie Sanders. They want a party that talks
openly about wealth and equality, corporate power, healthcare is a right,
housing is a human necessity, and they're tired of being
(24:01):
told to wit their turn or lower their expectations. I'm
closer to this side myself. On the other side, you've
got the institutional wing of the Democratic Party, the moderate
left or the more right leaning left. The people who
see the figures like Gavin Newsom, Hillary Clinton, they see
them as safe, experience, electable. They believe stability matters more
(24:23):
than disruption, Incremental progress beats big promises that you can't keep,
and anything that smells two left risks, you know, handing
elections to the right right like delivering it over there.
And here's the problem. These two groups within the Democratic
Party aren't just disagreeing on strategy. They're disagreeing on what
the party is supposed to be. The progressive wing sees
(24:46):
any sort of compromise as surrender. The moderate wing sees
progressives as politically reckless. Each side thinks the other is
the reason that things keep going wrong, we keep losing,
So instead of us building a coalition, the Democratic Party
keeps fighting itself. Energy gets spent policing, tone purity testing,
(25:06):
warning voters about imaginary red lines. You know, voters are
sitting in there wondering why nothing ever feels different. And
this is why you can't win long term by ignoring
the base that's demanding change, and you can't win elections
by pretending fear and caution are inspiring messages to the base.
Democrats need to figure out how to bridge this divide,
(25:28):
or at least stop treating internal disagreements like existential threat.
I am so fucking tired of far left progressives not voting.
Oh my god, I actually unfriended people over the Palestinian
thing this last election. Why people didn't actually end up
voting for Kamala over Palestine. I know a lot of
(25:49):
liberals who did that. In my head, I'm smacking the
shit out of you. I'm just gonna go ahead and
say it. In my head, I'm envisioning smacking the shit
out of y'all because everything, everything that we are now
going through as a fucking country, everything because you didn't
like what was going on in Palestine. And I agree,
it's horrendous, and I'm sorry, and this may be callous
(26:10):
on my part. I get it what's happening, the war,
crimes and devastation. I also get it. However, look at
our country, look at what's going on here. I know
more people at this point in my life currently who
are on the verge of losing their home, about to
lose their home, have been laid off for their job,
haven't worked. Health care crisis people are crying and devastated,
(26:32):
trying to get into therapy. Oh wait, can't afford that anymore.
Like these are people that I talk to on a
daily basis. I have a lot of issues with the
far left progressives. That's why I don't call myself a
progressive because personally, I recognize the type of system that
we live in. Is it ideal system? No? Here's the
thing I believe with ninety nine point nine percent of
what the progressive wing of the Democratic Party stands for
(26:54):
ninety nine percent of it. Absolutely. But I'm not going
to cut the nose off this country just because I'm
upset that one or two things aren't in the agenda.
I'm not willing to put Republicans in charge to do
what we are witnessing them do now watching American struggle.
We are on the verge. Everything tells you. I mean, look,
(27:16):
everything is on the verge of recession right now. Everything. Meanwhile,
we have the more moderate and kind of right leaning
wing of the Democratic Party who puts down people like
Bernie and AOC and Jasmine Crockett and all of that,
refuses to really discuss a lot of their initiatives, all
of this infighting, And it's something that I have discussed
(27:36):
and talked about in my policy classes. Don't forget that's
my undergrad is that Republicans are largely lockstep. You know.
It's kind of like after two thousand and one and
the George Bush era that the Tea Party came out
and the separation, the separation of the Greater Party kind
of started happening. The ultra ultra ultra right versus more
moderate right. I don't know all of these dynamics are
(27:56):
incredibly fascinating to me. But TLDR, the Democratic Party needs
to get its fucking shit together and find some kind
of middle ground. The far left progressives need to shut
the fuck up, realize that you're not gonna have a perfect,
perfect package or initiative at any point, and do your
best with what you have, because that is what we need.
(28:16):
I would much rather take very short, incremental change in
the right direction rather than pushing everything out all at
once and having half the country look at us like
we are absolute baboons. Okay, can we can we please
kind of stop doing can we please kind of start
realizing that you may not get one hundred percent of
what you want with a particular candidate. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie AOC,
(28:39):
Jasmine Crockett, like all of those people, I'm noticing that
a lot of their followers, and I love them as politicians,
I do support a lot of their beliefs, but I'm
noticing that a lot of their followers are like, Nope,
I'm never going to vote for a Hillary. I'm never
going to vote for Kamala. And a lot of people
didn't vote for Kamala. I know handfuls of Democrats who
refused to vote for Kamala Harris because they didn't feel
(29:01):
like she was left enough. And then now look at
where we are, literally, now look out where we are
because of that. No candidate is perfect, no person on
this planet, No person is perfect on this planet, No
party is one hundred percent perfect on this planet. Democrats,
can we fucking please get a grip, please and thank you?
Rant over in any case to close out the Antifa
(29:21):
section here, it's security theater for the magabase, real threats, smith,
imaginary leftist boogeyman, all hands on deck, and that is
what the Republican Party has been extremely efficient at. But
let's talk about something that seems to be energizing Democrats
for ones, and that's Gavin Newsome acting like a complete
ass and his complete embrace of chaos and trolling. And
(29:43):
it's pretty funny. The California governor has basically transformed his
entire communication strategy into trolling Donald Trump. That's it, like
all caps tweets, memes talking like him, tiktoks ai generated parodies,
he's posting fake Time magazine covers with him self, crowned
Star Wars villain voiceovers, Nickelback songs playing over old Trump
(30:06):
Epstein photos, and Democrats are eating this up. At the
DNC Winter meeting this week in La delegates were jockeying
for selfies with Newsom for over half an hour. One
Florida Democratic vice chair said, I love the trolling that
they're doing. I don't think that it's necessarily going to
get them elected, but it really is encouraging people. They
have something to fight back with. His team is called
(30:28):
Stephen Miller a fascist cook, a term that you know
MAGA loves to use against their opponents if I see
cook or soy boy. One more fucking time when Fox
News tried to manufacture outrage about Newsom, saying Greg Abbot
rolled over for Trump, I mean because Abbot uses a wheelchair.
You can put two and two together. I'm sure. His
deputy communications director responded, no, but how woke of you
(30:52):
to ask. I'm sorry Greg's feelings were her poor guy.
Hope he recovers, I mean chef's kiss. Ruthless. Democratic strategist
Jamal Simmons said Democrats are over being the nice guy party.
Standing up for democratic values doesn't mean you have to
play by the old rules, and Newsome in particular is
showing he'll go as low as he needs to take Trump.
(31:12):
Is this a sustainable political strategy, you, guys, Probably not
by itself in my opinion. I mean, Mackery alone won't
win elections, and swing voters are less interested in drama
than a sensustability. But as Commentary Magazine noted when discussing
the Nick Fuintez phenomenon, we're in an attention economy now
(31:33):
and Newsom is grabbing attention while the rest of the
party figures out what they even actually stand for. And
it's actually disgusting right now to see how quiet the
Democratic Party has been for the last year. Anyone else,
anyone else just noticed the absolute silence unless it's from
a couple people like Jasmine Crockett, AOC Bernie Sanders. May
(31:53):
even Bernie Sanders is not even doing a quarter of
what he used to. I mean, it's maddening. His approval
rating and California has jumped ten points since June, now
sitting at fifty six percent. Among California Democrats, it's eighty
two percent. He's announcing a memoir next year, and the
twenty twenty eight positioning here, guys, is pretty obvious. We
(32:13):
can all read right through it. Whether or not you
think Newsom should be the Democratic nominee, you have to
admit it's nice to actually see someone on your ideological
side to, you know, fighting back a little bit. And
I don't like Gavin Newsom at all. I just want
to make this explicitly clear. I don't care for him.
I find him to be smarmy. I find him to
(32:34):
be super smarmy. But if he is the Democratic nominee,
you bet your sweet ass that I'm going to vote
for him. And moving on, speaking of cringe, Education Secretary
Linda McMahon, Yes, the WWE co founder, and she's essentially y'all.
She has no education in an experience whatsoever. But in
any case, our education secretary, I guess that is kind
(32:54):
of on par and tracks for America. She released a
video this week that has to be seen to be bleed. Guys.
It's a parody of How the Grinch Stole Christmas and
it's about, wait for it, student loan fraud. McMahon dond
a sequined Make Education Great Again jacket, surrounded herself with
Grinch balloons and what looks like a depressing government office
(33:15):
building and the narration of this video said, you know
the story of a green little thief who tiptoed through
Whoville and caused holiday grief, while this year a new
crew tried to assemble their feet sneaking and scheming to
wipe student aid meat. It gets worse from here. She
goes on about slithering through paperwork and adding fake students
(33:36):
deep into the night and assack stuff to the brim
with billions of dollars. The video ends with one billion
dollars and taxpayer funds will now support students perusing the
American Dream rather than falling into the hands of criminals.
Merry Christmas, taxpayers and social media reactions are pretty much
what you'd expect, like this is why you shouldn't put
(33:57):
stupid people in charge of education. One person and wrote
another said taxpayer funded clown show, and here's the irony
of this. Republicans spent an entire week in twenty twenty
one raging about Doctor Seuss being canceled. Remember that Doctor
Seuss Enterprises independently decided to stop publishing six of their
own books. Fox News ran hundreds of segments with headlines
(34:19):
like cancel culture comes for Doctor Seuss. Marco Rubio called
it an example of the depraved sociopolitical purge driven by hysteria.
Hysteria in lunacy. But now they're using Doctor Seuss to
make government propaganda videos. I mean, love how that comes
full circle, right, And this comes on the heels of
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth using graphics from the children's book
(34:40):
series Franklin. I covered that in the last episode. You
know Franklin the Turtle. He used that to make light
of the Pentagon's boat strikes in the Caribbean. He made
a parody called Franklin Target's Narco Terrorists. The publisher condemned
the unauthorized use of their characters because it doesn't take
a fucking peanut to realize that that's not okay or legal.
And finally, let's talk about Nick Fuintes and Pures Morgan,
(35:03):
because I did watch that interview and I have some
questions and it's kind of interesting because we need to
talk about the issue with platforming Nazis. Fuintes is the
twenty seven year old white nationalist. He's also a holocaut
acoust denier. He's very far right, and it was exactly
as you would expect when Morgan played a clip of
Fuintes making derogatory comments about Jewish people, women, people of color.
(35:27):
Fuintes responded, that's one hundred percent true. Everything I said
in that clip is true. When asked what was cool
about Hitler, Nick, Fuintes said, the edits, it's just cool.
The uniforms cool. As a guy, you look at at
World War two and it's fascinating, and it's interesting, and
it's compelling. It's cool. He argued that women shouldn't have
the right to vote. He said that there's a genocide
(35:49):
happening against whites. When Morgan asked about his sexuality, Fuintes
confirmed he's attracted to women, but added women are very
difficult to be around, so there's that confirmed. He's a
twenty seven year old virgin, claiming he's Catholic in waiting
for marriage, also anti social After the interview, and Fuintes
posted a defiant video saying he apologizes for nothing, Morgan
(36:12):
responded on x and said, you really need to get laid,
you diluted little tour. Fuintes fireback, you need to go
get your wife, bro. And here's where we are. White
nationalists with major media platforms beefing on social media about
their sex lives. Here's the thing that actually matters. A
new study from the Network Contagion Research Institute found that
(36:33):
Nick Fuentes's online popularity is largely manufactured. His early engagement
on tweets outpaces even Elon Musk, the owner of x
how Well, ninety two percent of the accounts boosting him
are anonymous. A massive, massive, massive, massive amount are foreign.
That's evidence of low cost amplification clusters, engagement farms, and
(36:56):
all of these use foreign actors to manufacture attend And
the mainstream media keeps boosting him too. Commentary Magazine calls
it prestige inflation, and I agree with that. You know,
extremists get treated as legitimate voices worth debating. Since September,
left of center outlets have increasingly described Nick Fuentes in
(37:16):
high status terms, even while criticizing him. Some want to
tag all Conservatism with his stink, but in doing so,
they're growing his audience. And let me be clear, I
am friends with a great deal of Republicans and every
single one of them despises Nick Fuentes and sees him
for the absolute racist, sexist, awful, little ship back grifter
(37:38):
that he is. So a lot of the Republican Party
does not want him associated. But Nick Fiuintz isn't interesting.
His ideas are quite literally recycled Nazi garbage pressed down
in zoomer esthetics. He's foreign born, he's a boosted troll.
But the media ecosystem, both the left and the right,
(37:59):
keep putting micro phones in front of him. Anyway, Conservatives
used to understand that evil exists and isn't made less
evil just because it bothers liberals, and I'm seeing a
lot of that right now, Like a lot of people
in the right wing and the Republican Party are embracing
actual Nazis, actual people who believe that Jews are inferior,
women are inferior, only white men are worthy of anything.
(38:22):
And I'm seeing some of these people being embraced just
because it sends liberals off the deep end. We are
truly living in unprecedented times. Joke for my last episode,
But that's it for today, guys, that's the show for
this week. To recap. Epstein photos are dropping like flies,
and they're everywhere right now. Just get on any social
media platform hashtag Epstein and you'll have an eye foll.
(38:44):
Trump is also bullying reporters and crying about polls. Marco
Rubio is fighting fonts. We've like guys. Marco Rubio is
actually fighting fonts. Linda McMahon is doing Brench cosplay. The
house is an absolute chaos. The FBI is chasing a
word that doesn't exist. Gavin Newsom is like America's top
troll right now and he's trolling his way to twenty
(39:05):
twenty eight. And then also Nick Fuintez, a twenty seven
year old Nazi can't get a date despite having an
army of foreign bots boosting his account. America twenty twenty five. Y'all,
What a time to be alive. But that is it
for today. If you enjoyed this episode, please share it,

wasteland and you know all that kind of stuff. So
