RHOC-Canals, Confessions, and Chaos
🎧 Podcast Summary: RHOC S19 E15 – “Going Dutch”
This episode kicks off with Shannon in full “Type-A hostess” mode — panicking over wrong glassware and a $2,000 lunch bill for Jenn’s non-bridal bridal luncheon. Jenn insists it’s not a shower, just a celebration before her wedding.
Gretchen, trying to take the high road, prays for peace with Tamra but still delivers a scathing (and hilarious) list of how she’s nothing like Tamra. The list includes lawsuits, blogger DMs, and manipulative behavior — the ultimate clapback in bullet-point form.
During lunch, the ladies share marriage advice. Shannon says communication is key, Gina warns not to lose yourself, Gretchen credits faith, and Heather says to ignore the haters. Emily lightens things up by asking if anyone farts in front of their husbands (spoiler: Heather does not).
The group decides on a girls’ trip to Amsterdam — where Heather has personal ties and plans to spread her father’s ashes. Jenn feels torn about her upcoming wedding and her complicated co-parenting situation, while Tamra and Eddie’s dinner turns into a tense therapy session about communication, drinking, and midlife frustration.
Once in Amsterdam, chaos quickly replaces calm. Shannon arrives injured, the women glam up for a canal ride, and Tamra immediately stirs things by revisiting old wounds about Shannon’s father. A drunk (and high) Shannon ends up under a dinner table with Tamra — literally — as Tamra gropes her and they laugh hysterically.
Meanwhile, Jenn defends her friendship with Alexis despite Shannon’s disapproval, Emily questions Shannon’s motives for hosting the luncheon, and Gretchen vows she can’t “fight fire with fire” anymore… even though she keeps trying.
The episode ends with rare peace — everyone laughing and sharing dinner — until the preview teases a fiery explosion just hours later in the Red Light District.
