In the post-apocalyptic aftermath of the Y2K disaster, the world is plunged into chaos, and surviving settlements find an unlikely source of order and entertainment: professional wrestling. All other forms of entertainment have vanished, leaving the populace emotionally and amusingly invested in the world of wrestling.
Our protagonist, "Bon Dangerous," a charismatic local champion, navigates this new world, grappling with personal loss and driven by a burning desire to reunite with his wife and son, who were separated during the calamity. The governing elite, represented by the enigmatic hunchback Igor, holds the key to Bon Dangerous' quest for his family's reunion. In a world where power and status are determined within the wrestling ring, Bon Dangerous must climb the ranks, facing eccentric opponents, and employing his own unique wrestling style.
As the story unfolds, "Y2Kayfabe" pays homage to the WWF attitude era, sprinkling the narrative with nostalgic references and nods to the iconic wrestling moments of that time. The series delves into the absurdity of a society where grappling prowess determines one's fate and the humorous yet poignant journey of Bon Dangerous as he strives for personal redemption in a world where the stage is the wrestling ring, and the stakes are nothing short of life and death.
