Dan Held on Taproot Wizards and Making Bitcoin Fun Again (and more!)

In this episode, Dan Held – GP at Asymmetric investment fund and founding team member at Taproot Wizards – goes in depth on all things Bitcoin. Dan begins by sharing his background and explaining how he became involved in the Bitcoin sector early on. He then explains what Taproot Wizards is doing and how this relates to Bitcoin decentralized finance (DeFi).  Throughout the episode, Dan explains concepts related to Bitcoin –like “hodl” –and details how Bitcoin has evolved from 2011 until now.

He was formerly the Head of Marketing at Kraken, one of the world’s biggest crypto exchanges. Dan is a serial crypto entrepreneur with two exits. In between his time in crypto, he was on the Growth Product and Marketing teams at Uber. Dan was also part of the original 2013 crypto meetup group in SF.
