Our thoughts are extremely powerful they determine everything we do and everything we feel. It is therefore extremely important that we pay attention to where our thoughts are leading us because sometimes our thoughts lie to us. From convincing us that the ice cream in the freezer won't hurt even though you've committed to clean eating to more serious lies like what other people MUST be thinking of you.
Thoughts can lead to the most joyful times but also some of the most devastating. I myself have suffered from diagnosed depression and anxiety for over 20 years. Sometimes medication is the only answer, other times I manage and I have days when it doesn't affect me at all. Those are good days!
However, I understand the dark places it can take you the hopelessness it can cause and that's why today's episode was one I wanted to address. Suicidal thoughts have come and gone for me over the years I have always managed to control that thought by my unshakable belief that my daughter deserves to have a mother who is unwell but trying her best than no mum at all. Happiness comes from within but support comes from all around. We are here to support the wedding and events industry and it is my hope and the hope of my guests that these episodes will help in some small way to at the surface bring you a little peace and relaxation and at a deeper level some tools to help if you find yourself feeling extremely low and unable to cope.
If you are feeling low please reach out to someone be it a friend and family member don't feel like a burden it's what friends and family are for to help each other through. If you don't feel you can do that then please no the Samaritan helpline is there for every one call 116 123
