What does it mean to do your "shadow work"? We hear that term a lot in the spiritual community but it can be a difficult concdept to grasp until you realize you are knee deep in doing the work already.
Your shadow is your subconscious where you hold your darkest secrets that you want nobody to know about ... not even yourself!
Shadow work is the process of shining a light into the dark corners of your subconscious so you become aware of the situations that caused you shame, embarrassment, and discomfort so that you can begin the process of forgiving yourself, others, and the circumstances involved in order to heal trauma, deal with triggers, and balance yourself inside and out.
Shadow work allows you to marry the "Cain and Able" within and to begin to love all aspects of yourself, good and bad, and to accept yourself completely.
Not an easy task! Shadow work requires patience, honesty, and self-care. In this episode, Amaral and Lola share their experiences and insights into making the process easier to understand, and hoperully, easier fo you to apply to the dark corners of your subconscious, too.
Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
